Amazing and unique (in the best way) experience. The guides were so friendly and kind, gave us clear instructions, took wonderful photos and gave us our space to ride the sled and make it feel like it was just us in the woods while still checking in to make sure all was good. The whole experience was so interactive, fun and beautiful. Then afterwards the staff sat down with us and chatted with us as if we were friends while we all had hot drinks and watched the photos they had taken of us during our ride that we got emailed to us after the experience. Will absolutely go back. I am so beyond happy with the experience we had at Escapade Huskimo. Thank you so much to the staff and the cutest/strongest doggos!!
We recently had the pleasure of staying at Escapade Huskimo, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived at their private cabin lodge, we felt an incredible sense of welcome and warmth. The staff were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure our stay was enjoyable. One of the highlights of our trip was the dog sledding adventure. It was truly an amazing experience! The professionalism and care shown by the staff during the sledding were exceptional, making us feel safe and well taken care of at all times. Having the opportunity to bond with the dogs and enjoy the breathtaking scenery was simply magical. The lodge itself was cozy and well-equipped, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Plus, being just an 18-minute drive from various dining options and fuel stations was convenient for our needs. We had such a wonderful time that we are already planning our return trip! I wholeheartedly recommend Escapade Huskimo to anyone looking for a great getaway. You won't be disappointed!
An absolutely wonderful experience in a beautiful setting. Our guides Wendy and Kevin provided clear and detailed information to keep us and the doggies safe during the ride. They checked on us frequently and made sure we were happy and having fun, they took pictures and generally enhanced the day with their positive attitudes and smiles. From booking through to our post ride snacks and beverages we rate the day as a very solid 10! Exceptional customer service, kind caring people and the incredible doggies make for a memorable day. We will definitely be going again.
We had an absolutely incredible experience at Escapade Huskimo! If we could, we'd come here every day—it was that much fun! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by kind and professional staff who made the experience smooth and enjoyable. The dogs are friendly, well-trained, and clearly well cared for—they looked happy, healthy, and well-fed, living in a beautiful, peaceful habitat. We did the 15 km trail, which was the perfect mix of adventure and scenery. One of the best parts? You actually get to drive the sled yourself! There’s a passenger in the sled, but each person also gets a turn mushing the sled, making it a hands-on, exciting experience. Our guide, Sylvain, was informative and professional, adding to the overall enjoyment. It was a great March Break activity, and our group had a wide range of ages—from kids (8 and 11) to my 71-year-old mom. This experience is truly suitable for all ages and skill levels! Tip: Dress warmly, especially your feet! Overall, Escapade Huskimo is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique, exciting, and immersive winter adventure. The stunning trails, happy dogs, and expert guidance make this an unforgettable experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended!
Amazing experience :) The team was very dedicated and were very welcoming. The dogs were super stars! Definitely a must try ☺️
Fairytale-like ride in a snowy forest with amazing sweet and well trained husky doggies! I would go again for a few hours. ;-)) Recommend a ski eye mask if you have sensitive skin and eyes, especially if it is snowing or windy.
Did the 24 hour excursion March 13/14, what a fantastic time we had. Well worth the money, lovely accommodation, food was delicious, all staff and owners are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had the best weather trailers were perfect and best of all the dogs are very eager to give you the best ride. Thank you Sylvain and staff. Wendy and Em
Beautiful morning experience with the huskies and the staff along this remote woodland train. Weather was perfect for a beautiful ride being pulled by these amazing creatures. I feel that the experience would have been better if the weather was not 0C.. but more -10C so it did not feel like the dogs were so tired during our first time out on the trail. We also expected a half day adventure from 0800 to 1200 but we were done by 1000. It's a nice activity to do but at the price point for 2h... hard to justify a return visit.

Leslie park is a phenomenal camp ground . One of my favorites. Big beach for everyone and any dog to enjoy.
The lake and the beach are the reasons to come here. Kids didn't want to leave the water. Water was clear and sand perfect for sand castles. The beach is very long with lots of space so you don't feel crowded. Two separate areas for dogs to swim. Play area for kids was decent. Firewood was only $10. Easy and friendly checkin. Only 4 stars as our site was very small for our motorhome with no grass for the kids to play. All dirt which got into everything. Sites are also narrow, felt we were sitting with our neighbours. The brush between sites did help. Fire pit was clean and had a grate over it for cooking. We would return if a larger site was available. Thanks to the staff for keeping the grounds clean.
I have gone camping here for at least a week for nearly the last 10 years. In that time I have watched both the campsite change for the better and the worse. First, the stuff I don’t like. It seems that every year I come here, there’s less regular camping spots, as they remove them for more and more seasonal campers. At this rate, there will be no more normal book ahead camping as it will just be a trailer park. Secondly, the wood is way too expensive. They charge nearly 25$ for a bag of wood that will last you about two days (give or take). What I do like about this campground is the amenities and the campsites themselves. They are rather spacious, and do what they need to do really well. The campsites are typically clean upon arrival. One super important thing that I love that they did was after a big storm came through and flooded some of the campsites, the owners came around to everyone checking to make sure that they were okay. That kind gesture was very much appreciated. Overall, there is still work to be done but it’s still a nice campground worth visiting at least once.
What a great stay! BEAUTIFUL park, helpful and friendly office staff! Definitely recommend! Spots are mostly sand, LOTS of tree cover. The beach is amazing, we had an amazing time. Only 4 stars because we weren't let know in advance that the bathrooms closest to us were totally closed, under renos. Tough when you're in a tent trailer with a 3 and 5 year old who won't make it to the further one.
We stayed at the private Lac du Serpent site. Location was good, but super disgusting washroom condition, it was not usable. No toilet paper for sale at the dep either, and when we told an employee our situation, they said they didn’t even know where Lac du Serpent was? Also, bundles of wood are outrageously priced at $20 each Dogs - they only allow certain breeds, and despite a lot of no dog signs, there are spots where they are allowed to access the beach
Camped here for the 1st time last Summer(2023). I loved my time walking my dog, playing in the water and enjoyed the beachfront very much. Friendly staff and campers who I met during my stay. Restrooms were also very clean. I loved that my dog was able to come with me on this trip! Highly recommend this park. Booked in for August 2024
Awesome camping if you have a RV! Beautiful sites, access to lake if you have a boat and a nice beach !
Great beach, quiet, not far from gatineau
