nice little airstrip. fast. security check. little coffe shop and clean restrooms.
Terrible airport, chaotic, the ciao gelati snack stand is a complete rip off and the guy changes the prices depending on who approaches it the counter. They extended our take off time by 1.5 hours too. Also, whatever you do, do not buy the cheap Chinese product from the sellers stalls.
Sweet home, The airport is tiny and generally organized.
Beautiful environment, safe travelling, genuine caregiver, appreciate
It is a nice landing strip for access to Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. The toilets are exceptionally clean and the shops are few but reasonable. However, be warned about the baggage handlers for various airlines. They are like hawks and will not load the baggage until they have been given a tip. So beware.
Very small regional airport with a dirt strip. The airlines and airport staff are friendly and helpful and ensure you have your luggage.
Cute little airport with snack bar and well kept restrooms!
Fast and efficient.

Souvenir store
Shopping
Slide 1 of 8
A large souvenir store conveniently located on the road from Arusha to Ngorongoro. It features a two-level gallery, a small cinema, an exhibition simulating the tanzanite mining process, and, of course, a souvenir shop. The store offers a wide selection of paintings, traditional masks, beadwork, sculptures, souvenirs of all sizes, textiles with traditional prints, furniture, and much more. If you're looking for a keepsake from Tanzania or a gift for loved ones, you'll find plenty of options here.
The African Galleria is a well-organized and beautifully arranged shop with an extensive selection of items, offering a wide variety of souvenirs. However, be prepared for price tags that often reflect more than double the actual value. Bargaining is essential if you want to make a purchase at a fair price. Despite the high prices, the shop’s layout and variety make it a worthwhile stop for souvenir shopping.
Lots of things you could buy for a souvenir for all ages. Tanzanite was quiet cool, very expensive though. Magnets were cool. Very crowded, naturally. Tip: you might want to bargain for some things.
All under one roof, a massive gift shop for travellers, mostly those coming from safari. Restaurants here have delicious food, both local, Indian and other varieties.
Big gift shop and rest stop on the highway. They sell all sorts of souvenirs from tanzanite to small magnets. Clean bathrooms and AC. All prices are negotiable. They sell coffee beans and ground coffee as well. Did not see K-cup or Nespresso pods. You may find better prices for coffee at big grocery stores such as Carrefour if you get to stay at a large city. Coffee won’t go bad in the hot car during your safari trip.
One of the more grand and well established souvenir shops that I visited on the way to Arusha. Was impressed with the scale of the shop and the amount of things to see inside the shop. It's definitely a tourist trap. Not that I don't recommend tourists to visit but I'm sure you know even though there are price tags you can still bargain in the shop. You can actually look at the price tag and if you are good enough, the retail price should be half or lower than what was stated. The best recommendation I would give is to get your guide to follow you in and do the bargaining. Never walk in alone unless you think you are able to bargain to the price you want.
Perhaps like me, you are a first-timer in Africa. Maybe you are thinking about small gifts or something larger – a tribal mask, bronze sculpture or even tanzanite. You would be forgiven for not knowing who to trust. Fortunately, you are in good hands at Safariland Tanzania. Nishit and his brother are third generation owners of this emporium; they oversee a quality operation selling everything from simple beadwork to quality gems and fine art. Staff is knowledgeable and eager to make a deal, so by all means negotiate. Moreover, the establishment is vouched for by the best hotels and camps in the region, as well as members of Micato – the best safari outfitter in the business. (It’s also worth noting that the company offers export and affordable shipping services all over the world.) I entered Safariland with low expections; I walked away surprised and delighted.
Proud of the lads running this place! Absolutely well done! Whatever souvenir you can think of, you’ll find it here! Amazing variety of souvenirs! Prices may be slightly on the higher side but that’s because they support the community!! All the best 👍

Calm, peaceful nature reserve. Lots of monkeys, baboons and birds. And a herd of elephants who crossed the road in front of us! Amazing place.
Awesome experience Twalib and Abduli were excellent guides give us a lot of information.
Beautiful experience but expansive 68 dollar per person.
Great place to stop and walk around although slightly overpriced. So we visited this place in September 2021. It 's great to do the treetop walk which gives you very beautiful views and a real different safari experience. Besides the guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The only downside, I think its pricy. We paid 54$ per person. Partly (if I remember correctly 24$ Park entry) and partly acces to the walkway. If you visit the park, might be interesting to combine. We didn't book anything in advance and just arrived at the place during office hours. We could start the guided tour straight away.
This park is amazing the thick Forrest gives an Amazon vibe .. the park toilets are spotless.. the picnic area has wonderful views and it's dreaming with wildlife
We had so much fun here. The guides were terrific and supportive of those in our group nervous about the experience.
Had some fantastic photo opportunities with the tree climbing Lions and the Blue Monkeys for which the area is known. Saw many Bush Elephant and a few Bush Giraffes the lake itself is vast. A bumpy climb through the Rift Valley but it is well worth it
It’s beautiful here - worth the visit - or stay, if you can
