This is a little slice of heaving and a chance to experience living on a sheep farm! We so enjoyed meeting Tom and his parents and learning some of their history. We stayed in the Stable Suite. Very well represented on their website and it was very well equipped. The wool shop was amazing and I am no struggling to find room to get all the wool I purchased back home! I would highly recommend staying here. Off the beaten track and worth every penny! Thanks Tom!
From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the peaceful surroundings and the charming cottage. Waking up to the sound of birdsong each morning was delightful, and the overall ambiance of the property was idyllic. I also enjoyed the coffee mornings outside the wool shop, which added a lovely personal touch to my stay. Your family's warm hospitality made me feel welcome and at home throughout my visit. It's clear that you take great pride in your property and ensuring your guests have a memorable experience. I will certainly be returning to your lovely cottage in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a tranquil and authentic country escape. Thank you for a fantastic retreat.
Our stay was fabulous! Tom and his dad welcomed us with open arms when we drove up to this historic location, where our daughter had stayed prior and loved. The two bedroom house in which stayed has been beautifully restored and we immediately felt so comfortable we wished we had booked for a much longer visit. Everything needed was available from the fully supplied kitchen to the mounds of blankets available on cold nights to supplement heat from the wood burning stove.. Of note too was the sweet smell of the sheep that grazed on the land. And, for any knitter/weaver/crocheter/fiber artist, the yarn store on the premises is extraordinary and a MUST STOP. Tom and family sheer, spin, dye and then sell the most gorgeous yarns, along with spinning wheels and accessories. In all, when in the Otways, Tarndie is the best.
Lovely farmstay on a historic property. The cottage had everything you could need. Comfy couches, lots of space. Loved the vases of fresh flowers in every room! It was delightful to wander the property. Super clean and relaxing!
It was a delightful stay in the cottage, very serene and peaceful. The cottage had everything to make our stay comfortable , warm and cosy. Tom was there to greet us on arrival and go through an extensive map of things to do and where to eat . We would highly recommend a get away here.
A lovely, peaceful getaway. The cottage is charming, the beds and bedding top quality, everything was very comfortable and immaculate. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful flower arrangements and artworks in every room. The hosts are lovely. Wishing you all the best.
Absolute cracker little property. Tom is a legend, very friendly, and you can tell he’s incredibly passionate about all things Tarndie. The accommodation is beautifully rustic, well maintained, clean, and very warm & comfortable. Tom gave us a tour of the wool shop, and it was great to hear the history of the farm & the wool they produce. Taking home some hand died yarn was the perfect souvenir for our little 14 yo crotcheter! Highly recommended. We hope our travels take us back this way one day.
