The interior theme was “loud” and there was always something to look at, but it suited, with what it seemed like they were going for. Promedica offices don’t keep their insurance certifications up to date for providers. I made an appointment for what has always been an in network office. It wasn't until after the recent visit when my insurance denied the claim that I found out that the PA they assigned me to wasn't just out of network, they weren't even certified with the insurance company. Not certified for ANY billing, period. Now if one were to ask the office rep if they take my specific insurance they would say yes. This was confirmed by the rep I spoke with today. How then, would I even know whether a single person in an office is certified or not. Not to mention, if they knew the PA was uncertified, why would they bill my insurance like a regular in network provider. Hmmm. I have spent countless hours and many phone calls since October 2024 only to have several unhelpful reps and supervisors end up telling me there is nothing they can (or will) do. Not to mention that the whole Promedica billing department is terrible! They made many billing mistakes during 2024 (some big, some small) like I've never seen before and I've been going to them (various offices) for nearly 10 years. Even billing my insurance with my husband's name as the patient when he's been deceased for nearly 3 years. This is simply unacceptable and I hope this review helps someone else avoid the problems and lack of service I received over the past year.
