We were a small group in our 30's and the other guests were generally a fair bit older. The boat is very spacious, not over booked and everyone gets a seat by the window. The buffet was surprisingly filling and the downstairs bar was well stocked. The staff were all very happy to be there and very professional. There was a brilliant female live singer doing various covers and by the end of the trip, half the boat was dancing around and belting out the tunes. Ended with a real feel good factor. The gift shop just before the exit is well stocked and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Some exclusive items here that can only be bought at the shop itself. They are not cheap but I would imagine a dedicated fan will not be deterred by the larger numbers involved.

(Originale) The highlight of our visit to Lake Windermere was booking a boat trip (yellow cruise) which took us in a southerly direction to Lakeside. The journey was a wonderful invite into the glorious countryside and hills and tells on all sides. We picked a wonderful day to enjoy the cruise as the sun was out and the breeze was warm. The boat itself was very spacious and had a covered area for inclement weather where food and drinks could be purchased and consumed. We chose to sit on the deck benches and we're afforded the spectacular views surrounding us. This cruise is the only one available for wheelchair users but a carer is entitled to a free ticket on production of patients disabilities. We got off at Lakeside and visited the Aquarium which whilst small allowed great views of all manner of fish with a tunnel providing the best views (free ticket for carer). We caught a later boat back at no extra cost enthralled by the experience.
