Excellent museum! Our guide Debra was very knowledgeable and well spoken. She was able to answer all of our questions. We highly recommend seeing the interesting artifacts and treasure. The presentation is well done...just enough.

My husband and I got a day pass so we could go to the beach here. We were on a cruise and when we went to get a taxi, this beach was recommended as being more secure than the one we really wanted to go to. I came here after seeing all the great reviews and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The Spicy Lobster Bites were incredible truly a must-try! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully done.

We were in Freeport the day before arriving here. We were so discouraged with our excursion in Freeport so that we really weren't expecting great things in Nassau.
What a wonderful surprise when we got to the Blue Lagoon Island! The boat ride from our cruise ship started off with a mini tour of the area. We were amazed by the beautiful blue waters, the yachts, and the homes!

When we golfed the Reef course in November of 2023, it was the only open course on Grand Bahama Island. The course is well laid out. However, the greens are in really bad shape since Hurricane Dorian.
Powered Carts are maditory - no walking or push/pull carts allowed.
No driving range.

I feel so bad for this island. This is the last functional golf course and its just awful. The whole thing is weeds. Even though the greens fees were covered it cost is $135 for 2 people to play 9 holes with a cart and rentals. Probably the worst maintained golf course I've ever played. All the houses on it are abandoned. The rental clubs grips are so slippery I might as well golfed without a grip on the club at all. Then to top it off, the ride from the Grand Lucayan the cart went dead and they couldn't pick us up to bring us back to the hotel. So the golf course cart guy had to bring us back and I had to sit on my husband's lap. This whole island is so impoverished and no investment, I hate to see where it will be with no tourism here anymore. The only thing they have is false advertising such as saying this is one of the best courses in the world. You can't trust any of the photos because they were probably from 20 years ago when it was in good shape and owned by the Westin or Raddison.

What a beautiful garden! It's relatively small but has a lot of character. There are ponds with fish, turtles, and ducks in them. You can have delicious lunch by the water and watch the stray cats walk around the area (but don't feed them!). It’s as beautiful as Gold Coast Rock beach when it’s not busy. Water is shallow and calm. We get to see fishes very close up to shore. We visited twice in the same week. Had a really fun time. It cost $15 per person to get in and that includes access to the beach and use of kayaks and paddleboards in 15 minute increments as well as use of the water trampoline. If you want anything else beyond that, you will pay more - for a beach chair, for an umbrella, etc. The snorkeling was really good too. Lots of fish! I don't know if you can rent snorkel gear though. We had our own. Staff were friendly and helpful. We really liked the wood carvings by Leonardo too. We expected it to stay open till 5:00 as that's what Google says but both days it was closed up by 3:20. We really enjoyed this beach with the little shack off one of the beach access sites. The family that ran it were so nice and happy. The food they offered was fresh and delicious with their $5 alcoholic drinks. We had the Seas the day excursion from Carnival Cruise line. Barry and his crew were amazing! We did the clear bottom kayaks first. Water was so clear you could see fish!! The tour guide taught us about the starfish he found. And about the parrotfish. Then we did the aqua scooter snorkel adventure. We were the last two to go, so we got an amazing tour. I think that was the Theatre which the Freeport Players raised money to build in 1968-70. I was one of the female actors photographed in the Freeport News when the corner stone was being laid. We used to perform in an old converted aircraft hanger with a corrugated iron roof over the Stage When we had heavy rain we had to pause because we couldn't hear what our fellow actors were saying! We were mixed nationalities & made & painted all our own scenery & our performances were always sold out. Sir Charles Hayward was our Patron & he was a great character who drove an old black London taxi & provided an endless supply of champagne for our Last Night parties. If ever given a small part in a play it was difficult to get him off the Stage, he was a real "ham"!! Fun days!!
