Before we arrived they gave us the run down of how we could get the most out of our trip with suggestions on trails and tours. We got a half day run of shuttles on day 1 with Vinia in Derby and she took into account what we done and then made the next recommendation and each one was spot on. Day 2 we did Blue Tier and Atlas and Chris was awesome and full of laughs. Best day of riding and a must for anyone coming to the area! Day 3 was Bay of Fires, an awesome ride but what sets Vertigo apart is their set up at the end. We pulled up to their private shack and wandered down for a cool off in the water before coming back up to a huge smorgasbord of food cooked on the bbq and an esky cold beverages. Chris again entertained us with more stories. Day 4 we had another shuttle locally and did Kingswood at Vinia’s advice and it was spot on. We appreciate everything the crew did for us and will be singing their praises to anyone we know who heads to Derby and when we head back we will be sure to book through them again. Cheers legends!

I drove a 2wd car to the carpark area/trailhead. The trail loop is well signed and red arrows and a few maps along the trail make it fairly easy to find. It was 10/1/24, a fine day, I wore a t shirt, board shorts and crocs. Immediately the trail has your head spinning around looking at the moss, old growth trees, massive tree ferns and the trail is flat smooth for about 100m. Then it does start to slope down a little bit, then it does get a bit undulating and yes there are some sporatic tree ferns that have fallen over the path but it's very easy to step over them. As you drop down further yes the track gets a little bit more off camber, a few larger trees have fallen on the track but a detour has been worn in around these that requires a bit of getting over or under but not much effort. After about 15 mins heading down you find the jewel. On the way down if you think of turning around because it's too hard I would advise you to keep going as you will soon justify your effort.
