We were going to attend again to see him before we return home but he's not back on until after we leave. All in all I would 100% reccomend. The queue to buy tickets (if you hadn’t pre-booked) didn’t seem too long, but there were coach-loads of people arriving and taxis all over the place. First queue was to get in to the park, via one of the 2 photo “opportunities” with a park photographer. We just walked through saying we didn’t want it. Then it was straight to a shop to purchase the famous Fast Pass (follow the signs). These were 38 euros per person (ouch), on top of your entry ticket. We then headed to the lockers near the main shops area, it was 7 euros for a small locker which (just about) fitted a cool bag, flip flops and a backpack. For some reason people stand in the locker hut and get changed/spray sun cream/generally faff about in a cramped space, inevitably right next to the locker you get given, and you feel like the place is going to be a nightmare, but it gets better…! Then we headed to the “Lost City” (the kids play area) and grabbed some sun loungers with our towels. Generally we don’t like the seemingly worldwide rule of “towels on the loungers”, but it’s what literally everyone else does these days so you really have no choice. If you can’t beat ‘em… All this was done by about 9:45am. If we’d arrived even 30mins later than we did, it would have been a much bigger queue… so GET THERE EARLY…! There was a huge queue building for the lazy river by this point (before it opened) - don’t bother! You can get on it straight away later in the day with very little waiting. Then we went to the Tower of Power. Only one of us was riding, joined the queue at 9:55am and waited 20mins to ride. This is the most eye-catching and famous ride in the park, it’s massive! However the ride itself is over very quickly, and you literally can’t see anything because of the spray (they don’t let you wear goggles, rash vests, go-pros etc) so the whole sliding-through-a-shark-tank is slightly pointless. Then you have an awkward climb back up past the queue back to the top to get your stuff. The main rides however were fantastic. Our favourite was Saifa, best water slide we’ve ever done. If you have the Fast Pass, look out for the correct entrance to use - for “The Giant” we got in the wrong queue but as it was early in the day it wasn’t too long. This is theme of the park in general - the signage is not great, especially in the more confusing areas, and lots of people were lost and asking each other where to go. Other highlights were “Vulcano” and “Kinnaree”. All of the slides were great fun. Our kids loved them all, and had a great time on “Sawasdee” and at the kids wave pool (an idyllic spot). We stopped for lunch (back to the locker and the loungers) for about 45mins-1hr, and we had done all the slides by 4pm. For the “Mekong” and “Patong” rapids (and the “Vulcano” and “Dragon”), the fast pass queue is the same and you can choose which ride when you reach the top. We finished with the “Wave Palace”, a HUGE pool which every few minutes gives a booming sound with a massive wave. So is the Fast Pass worth it? I would say 100% YES, if you can put up with the cost. We will only be visiting this place once so we though let’s splash out (wahey) and pay for the passes. Longest queue we had was 20mins, and we were walking straight up the stairs to most rides past the long main queues, with signs saying “40mins from this point” etc. It seemed like a lot of the locals didn’t bother with Fast Pass & if you visit regularly (ie. resident’s ticket prices) then you wouldn’t buy it and just accept the long queuing times, which looked like up to 1hr+ at peak times.
