To make sure, I called on the phone and asked if the entire menu is halal. They said yes. Great, so I placed an order online once I figured out what I wanted. I get to the place and see a sticker saying their chicken is halal. I had to make sure... is the pepperoni, sausage, and bacon I ordered also halal or only the chicken? They told me that all the chicken is halal, but for the other meats I need to request a substitution. I did not see that online when I ordered. Some restaurants dont serve halal at all. At those places i order veggie or fish (fish is always halal) At other restaurants, they only serve halal and nothing else. And at a third category of restaurants, they serve non-halal food plus a set of halal options/substitutions. This restaurant is the 3rd category, which Im perfectly fine with. But as they were remaking my pizza with the halal substitutions, I see a sticker on the glass that reads "Halal Food 100%". I asked about it and told them they cant have a sticker that says halal food 100% when not everything is halal. They explained to me that everything has a halal substitution available (which isnt even true, cuz their canadian bacon doesnt have a halal alternative). If I had walked in without calling and seen that green halal food 100% sticker, I would have totally assumed this was a restaurant that only serves halal food. So Im leaving a 1 star and heres my recommendation to the management: take that sticker off. Feel free to advertise your halal menu and make it clear what is halal and what isnt. Dont tell me "halal food 100%", it is deceiving beyond a simple mistake. This seems very deliberate and its false advertising, and Im sure im not the only person that almost got tricked. If on the phone, i was told "the chicken is all halal and we have halal options available for the pepperoni and sausage" I still would have totally come. But because of what I feel is deliberate false advertising, Im not coming again. There are plenty of pizzas out there that taste just as good. Update: Ive been informed they removed the sticker so I am updating this review. For anyone who wants halal food specifically, make sure to specifically ask for it. The food is great
