We started out with 2 cups of clam chowder, bread and crab cakes. The chowder was some of the best I’ve ever had, the creaminess was the key and it’s filled with delicious clams. The crab cakes were out of this world with generous amounts of crab. They are moist and perfectly flavored. For the main course I had the two fish taco plate. These tacos are huge, more importantly the fish portions are huge. Topped with a great creamy sauce, cabbage and cheese. Thoroughly satisfying! My wife had the Dungeness crab in a creamy cheese type sauce. Again the amount of crab is very generous. But the sauce is the star of the show, when she was done I dipped bread into the sauce and the flavor can’t be beat. As others have mentioned it’s a popular place so it’s crowded. So we ate at a table in the lounge because the other tables were full, but the lounge is nice and still has good views. My only complaint which I am docking a star for is they don’t provide bread with appetizers or meal, you have to buy it and with their prices for meals my guess is they can afford to offer complimentary bread but they don’t. I absolutely recommend the place though, it’s the best seafood in Lincoln City.

And, the food... Ah, this one is tough because it wasn't bad but it wasn't great, either. I mean, yea, portions were big but flavor was lacking in a lot of it. My daughter said her pancakes were "average" and the side of bacon was so fatty, she didn't eat most of it. I ordered the turkey sandwich and hash browns. I was expecting sliced turkey breast, which is on me for making that assumption, and I know many people would be happy to get actual pieces of turkey. But, it was literally chunks of turkey which was just off for a grilled sandwich and was difficult to eat. Plus, I found more than one bone in it. The hash browns were definitely homemade but were so soggy and undercooked (under the first layer of cunchiness), and just lacked flavor. The gravy had so much potential but had such an overwhelming sage flavor that it was hard to eat much. Our server was attentive, friendly, and welcoming and that's sometimes really overlooked at restaurants. We ordered the Country Benedict (only available on Sat/Sun!), 2 Egg Breakfast with pancakes, Berry Stuffed Fresh Toast, Biscuits & Gravy and a Chicken Fried Steak. Aesthetics wise, the food looked appetizing, was hot, looked fresh and smelled great. Upon eating it, we can truthfully only recommend the County Benedict, Pancakes and Eggs. The chicken fried steak was subpar, as the fry wasn't executed as great as you'd hope and the taste left a lot for improvement, and the Biscuits & Gravy was extremely underwhelming as the gravy was WAY overpowered with sage to the point none of us could finish it. That being said, the French Toast was well done but didn't expect whole fruit inside of it which made it slightly difficult to eat but otherwise very tasty, and the pancakes were light and fluffy and sweet - sleeper hit! The true winner was the County Benedict - the chorizo gravy was INSANELY GOOD, like should not have been as good as it was. Highly highly recommend this dish on the weekends - it's worth it's weight in gold!
