I hadn't been to an IHOP in over a decade and never one back home on Long Island. I went with my eldest son to this one at his request (his first time at this location, too) and had a clean restaurant, friendly staff and excellent breakfast food. Definitely a pleasant experience - and funny thing... Even the to go container for the food I couldn't finish was top shelf! Honestly, it was better than a container I got from a $500 per person meal at a steak house!
I'll go back there again when I visit. Well done, IHOP!

So bad! I love ihop but this location is terrible! I went with my boyfriend for brunch and the service was nonexistent. First, we didn’t get any silverware OR napkins. My boyfriend went behind the kiosk to get napkins for us. Then when the food came out I take a bite out of my Cali Melt and all I tasted was burnt. I get tomatoes are supposed to be a little charred but this was excessive. Not just my food but my boyfriends’ as well. He ordered a burger and there was a piece of chicken in it. Went here on a Friday evening for dinner, and it was not a good experience, & definitely will not be going back. My husband ordered a sandwich , and he found a hair in & I got breakfast. My eggs had a big piece of eggshell in them. We tried to flag down the waiter to tell him discreetly but to no avail. He never came back over to our table again after he brought the plates, so we couldn't even tell him about it. We couldn't get his attention for anything. I had to ask a different waitress if she could bring me the syrup for my pancakes. To pay our bill,we got up and walked the bill to him so we could leave instead of just sitting there. I recently visited IHOP for Breakfast at 11:26 AM and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience with one of the waitresses (JE…….). She was unprofessional and lacked basic customer service skills. She didn’t know how to communicate respectfully with guests and made the dining experience uncomfortable. First time at this location. Around 11 am on Friday, for brunch, we were greeted by 2 ladies at the podium, very pleasant and welcoming. Restaurant appeared clean, and bright. Server was very friendly. I ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict with hashbrowns and a side of sausage. I enjoyed the eggs Benedict, perfectly cooked, although the hollandaise was broken and tasted slightly sour & tart, perhaps too much lemon. I always enjoy the sausage links. My husband ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich with country gravy, which came with a side, he chose a waffle. He also ordered a side of bacon and a side of fries. The sandwich was a nice size. He liked the country gravy, and the bacon was nicely crisp. Fries were basic, fried golden. The waffle was crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and delicious! A nice overall experience.

Im not really a review person but i have say this was a rough one for me. Our server came by 20 minutes after we sat down to finally take our drink order. Sometimes people get busy i get it so its not the end of the world. She came over and we placed our drink and food order and I never saw her again after that. no checking on how we were doing or anything. i than asked another server if she could get us a drink refill and than they never even came back either. After sitting with our finished plates for 30 minutes no drink refills or check i finally flagged down yet another server for my check. The atmosphere and the service was adequate, but they should be spending all of that extra money on the quality of their dough and cream cheese. If you want a better bagel, but not as nice of an atmosphere I would go to sunrise Bagel in Bayshore. I’m not sure what happened. I have always looked forward to coming home to get a ham, egg and cheese on a Kaiser roll, bagels and ice tea. This is one of our first stops when we come visit. This morning I came here from the airport only to be disappointed in the quality. The place looks amazing. They have remodeled since my last visit. Although the place looks great, I feel the quality of the food has declined. The whites of the eggs were runny. I asked for over medium and it was over easy. My sister got bacon not ham. First time dining at this location, it was Valentine's Day, we reserved a table for two beforehand and got there early. Upon arrival, we still had to wait approximately 45 mins for a table. I'd really like to go there again, on a regular night, to see how the food and service is, just to compare. Prices have certainly gone up since I last visited a Red Lobster! Tonight, I was looking for dinner and decided to try the Red Lobster near me. Olga my server was great! What they called "Cajun Butter" had been poured here and there on the crab shells as well. The "Cajun Butter" did not taste spicy at all and in fact, had an odd, sweet taste. I lived near New Orleans, LA for 27 years. I know what Cajun food tastes like and that was definitely NOT Cajun.
Pouring all that butter and "Cajun Butter" over the shell of the Crab, only made my hands completely covered in butter while dealing with the Crab Legs and didn't add any flavor to the crab. It also made the forks and claw cracker difficult to hold because everything got covered in butter.
I was only able to eat about 1/2 the legs before I started feeling sick. I asked my server to bring the check while I went into the restroom to wash all that grease off my hands. After a short drive home, I was sick to my stomach for about 15 minutes before "hugging the toilet." I did feel better afterwards.
I've eaten Snow Crab legs at steak houses and fine dining restaurants before. They usually bring you a pound of steaming legs on a dry dinner plate with a cup of melted butter on the side for dipping the crabmeat. I think it's a better way to serve Crab Legs.
I also think that next time I'll simply go to Shoprite and get 3 lbs of Snow Crab and 2 lbs of Butter for the same price with a little hassle steaming the legs and melting the butter myself.
Of course, I'll have to stop by the Red Lobster near me for a box of Cheddar Bay Biscuits to go!

They replenished the dishes, so nothing was cold or sitting out for a while. Decent variety of food as well, including a rudimentary sushi bar. The table are set up beautifully and of we added some arrangements, chargers, and extra elements to make the decor to our black and gold theme. Dined in here for an early evening dinner before a holiday weekend and the restaurant was very busy and filled with several customers dining in and some picking up orders to go. Even though there is a decent size parking lot, the parking was a bit difficult mainly because of how it was at that time of the day. Was able to get a parking spot as some other customers had to park on side streets.

Love Kira sushi and have been going there for years. Their sushi and sashimi is fresh and delicious and their kitchen items are also top notch. For desserts they do have tempora fried Oreos which is my all time favorite! If getting food to go their salmon dinnner is excellently priced and delicious.
Only recently we have been having an issue where our bill was wrong at times. We brought my toddler her own food to eat while we were there the other month and we were charged for a kids all you can eat. They quickly took it off when we explained she didn’t eat anything. Last night though we were charged for a full extra person which we didn’t realize until after we paid. They apologized and refunded but this is now two visits in a row with a pricing issue. So please just double check your bills during checkout!

To be honest I love french tips and not a lot of places can compete with some of the places that I've had them at. Tonight all that changed.
Let's jump into my review of Old City Public House .
We went for an early dinner tonight because we're going to see my friend play down at Smith's point. Anyone interested The John Fogerty Tribute Project we'll be rocking about 6:30.
When we walked in we were greeted immediately and asked where we wanted to sit. I always like my back to the wall so we sat at a table in the corner.
Our waitress Ann was awesome. She made the whole experience enjoyable. She made viable suggestions on the menu and told me what the most popular dishes were. She brought to my attention that everybody loves their French dips.
I ordered a beer and the wife had a margarita, and the boy child went out on a limb and ordered a glass of water without a lemon.
Of course had to order the wings. You decided that today he didn't want to even deal with the bones but just wanted to deal with straight chicken. He really enjoyed them and said they had enough kick. Are they super hot no so for those of you that don't like to burn your mouth off these are perfect. He did ask for extra sauce because like I said in an earlier review he loves them wet. For July and August they have by 10 wings get five for free. So my son devoured 15 boneless wings.
The wife ordered a shrimp Caesar salad. Now a lot of times I caution her on ordering shrimp but wanted an honest opinion of this place. Sometimes ordering shrimp out at a restaurant you get some funky shrimp. Not here. She really enjoyed the salad she said it was well-dressed and even came with two extra dressings.
Now for my meal. Like I said I love French dips and I haven't had one in such a long time because nobody compares to a restaurant that I used to go to in Islip and have them. Well that restaurant is long gone so I've been kind of at a loss. And suggested the Brooklyn French dip. It is your traditional French dip served with au jus and had red roasted peppers in it. Sometimes the as you I have gotten has been too salty but this was absolutely perfect. At the end of the meal I jokingly said to my son I was going to drink it, so he tried it and said it was really good LOL I wanted to finish it but it was gone. The meat was tender and the bread was fresh.
My meal came with a side of fries. Usually the fries are just that a side dish that nobody cares about. I don't know if they were double fried but they were golden in color had a crispy outside with a soft Center. It may be the type of french fries they were but they were phenomenal. The meal came with a little tiny side dish of a horseradish sauce that I was probably supposed to put on my French dip. I opted not to because I wanted to taste the meat and decided to dip my French fries in it. Jokingly I told our waitress that I want a tub of this stuff to put on absolutely everything I've ever eating again.
This restaurant will definitely be in our rotation. I think we're going to plan on Monday night because as you can see in one of my pictures they have a special board and Monday is buy one get one free French dips. Check this place out if you're in the area of ronkonkoma diagonally across from the ronkonkoma fire department.

Every time I have went It has always been amazing I have had there Pancakes, Belles Biscuit and gravy, and there Poor man steak and egg. Finally tried this place and WOW, we were honestly blown away. The pizza dough was great and the pasta was amazing. So fresh and you can tell it's homemade. Every single ingredient was fresh and of great quality. The two things I can say are, the meatballs were a little spicy/gamey and the garlic knots were a little hard to bite... not what I prefer but still good. My husband ordered food on the phone and came to pick it up when we got home we see that they now only give half a Philly cheesesteak and cut that in half. I went to dinner at the most wonderful and amazing place today. I HIGHLY recommend it. It's definately a 5 star restaurant. I passed this resturant a bunch of times, but never tried it out till today. It is the B.L D's Resturant ( breakfast, lunch, dinner) located in Ronkonkoma at 299 Hawkins Ave. This restaurant is 100% Patriotic with numerous American flags, police flags, the flag for firemen hanging throughout, along with several plaques dedicated to all branches of the military. The restaurant is further decorated for St.Patricks Day, the upcoming holiday for the Irish, with Leprechauns hanging up at the door when you first walk in and a giant blue flag above them with the specials listed on the blackboard. The ceiling has stars, fancy silver strips, and shamrocks hanging above your head. There is lots of patriotic paraphernalia all across the restaurant shelves, windows, table tops, walls, and everywhere you look with many events in history behind it. They have Uncle Sam on a window and Christopher Columbus boat next to him. Among all this paraphernalia is a high shelf with farm animals and pottery. It gave me a really good feeling just to be there and proud to be an American. The restaurant is sparkling clean and has two main rooms that are small in size. The waitress, ( sorry I didn't get her name) , was an absolute pleasure and shared with me the fact that the Diner is always packed with Veterans and first responders every weekend. The prices were good and the menu was big with alot of selections to choose from. Breakfast is my favorite meal so I chose the waffle platter with a large walnut and banana waffle, an egg, a slice of bacon, and a sausage. Yum! If you havent been to the B.L.D.'s Restaurant , then you need to check it out and you will also agree that it is the best restaurant around and you will be a repeat customer, just like I will be now. Honestly the most underwhelming brunch of my life. I was so excited to try this place because my school bus passed here everyday in high school so it’s been in business for a long time. Super underperforming… go to toast for better brunch food!
The omelette was unseasoned, over cooked, and TINY! It comes with home fries that were also not seasoned so not great at all. The pancakes were supposed to be pumpkin spice pancakes but ended up just being cinnamon flavored. We also got a Philly cheesesteak which has supper soggy fries. I came to the restaurant today because we were craving drunken noodles and excited to try a new place but unfortunately was disappointed by this place. Upon our arrival the male server was unprofessional and rude. His behavior made our dine in experience very uncomfortable and didn’t even enjoy the food. Now that it’s under new ownership, the pizza was not as good. The sauce was average and the barbecue chicken pizza was over cooked. We threw it out. The garlic knots were too oily. Wow terrible pizza! I have never seen so much oil and pepperoni on a pie. Garlic knots were undercooked! I called the pizzeria to file a complaint and all I received was terrible customer service, gentleman seemed offended and he yelled and screamed over the phone and just hung up. They were amazing! I called in the morning and asked if they could make a pizza shaped like the number 4 for my sons birthday. I didn’t plan ahead and did it that day. They made it and were so sweet about it. The pizza was good. I had no complaints, they even asked if I wanted them to trim the edges to make it perfect. Really happy about the customer service!

We'd gone to another late-night pizza place but they were out of cheese slices. On a whim, we tried this one in a mini shopping plaza next to King Kugel. Happy to say the server had an entire cheese pie to reheat 2 slices from. Slices were vintage NY. So we pushed our luck & ordered spaghetti & meatballs to go, which wasn't as good. Decent though. Tomato sauce was too sweet & meatballs had way too much chunky bread filler. At the time, they were doing a live Facebook stream for a drawing & seemed to have fun.
