Wesley Church is a beautiful and historic venue with a stunning atmosphere for instrumental concerts. The acoustics are generally good, especially for classical and acoustic performances, though some sound clarity can be lost depending on where you're seated. The architecture and ambiance make it a unique experience, particularly for events like the Candlelight concerts.
The only downside is that there’s no air conditioning, which can make it uncomfortable on warmer days. Still, it’s a wonderful venue with a lot of character, and I’d recommend it for anyone who appreciates live music in a historic setting!

Went for a musical candle light show here. The show was good. Benches were comfortable to sit on. It was quite spacious and well set up. However, not having an air con was the absolute downside as it was hot inside and kept sweating throughout the whole show. Addition of a proper air conditioning is much needed.

We attended a candlelight concert at Wesley Church, it was amazing, the music an ambience was fantastic. My only criticism would be the uncomfortable seating. I understand it is a church pew, but some cushions would have helped or at least a reminder when purchasing the tickets to bring some. Everyone was trying to be quiet and respectful, but you could see & hear people moving to alleviate the discomfort.
Other than that, it was a great night in a beautiful setting.

내부가 굉장히 멋집니다. 일요일 미사도 드렸는데, 성가대도 훌륭했습니다.
시간을 거슬러 15년전 내가 처음 이 성당을 보았을땐 참으로 어수선 했고 주변도 복잡했다. 왜냐하면 성당이 아직 완성되지 않았기 때문이였다. 교회 신도와 독지가의 헌금으로 지어진 이 교회는 지금의 모습을 갖기까지 참으로 오랜 시간을 준비 했다고 한다. 유럽의 한 성당은 몇백년째 공사중이고 아직도 미완성 이라고 하는데 그에 비할 바는 아니지만 그간의 노력 때문인지 참으로 아름답다.
산 정상에 자리잡은 고성의 느낌을 주는가하면 흐린날리나 어두운 밤에는 적막하다 못해 아주 무거운 분위기도 연출한다.
옆에 대형 병원이 있어서 그런지 환자와 그 가족들이 많이 찾는것 같다. 환자의 쾌유와 완치의 소망을 비는 것이라고 생각한다.
이곳도 주말에는 많은 신자들로 붐비는데 모두들 단정하게 차려입고 그간의 잘못도 회계하고 저마다의 소망을 기원하기도 한다.
이곳이 남다르게 애착이 가는것은 아마도 내가 천주교 신자이기 때문일 것이다.

I went for a look, not a service, but this church was so beautiful. The stained glass, wooden roof, and brickwork is amazing. They also have one of the largest organs, and the alter is stunning. Super friendly staff too

Stumbled across this Cathedral whilst walking around Perth and popped in to have a look and so pleased I did. Built in the late 1800’s it is quite grand and beautiful inside. There is a soldier’s chapel inside and some beautiful icons to look at including one of St George himself. There is also a lovely gift shop as well. Do have a look if you are in the area, it is definitely worth it.

Very beautiful place and theres positive energy level within the area. I do not have any religion however i do visit places of worship. I would say the place is really very nicely done up, i especially like the coloured windows. When the light shines through it glows beautifully. I would recommend people from all walks of life to visit here once. Overall great vibes from the venue.

I came from the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Redemptorist National Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour. While teaching at CBC Highgate, I came here to save some souls from Purgatory. This is a safe church to attend. The music is of professional quality, the preacher was engaging and theologically sound, and even on Easter, there was car parking to be found in the surrounding lots they are allowed to hijack on a Sunday, guided by a volunteer attendant. The only complaint was that there was no welcoming team available that day, but they probably do for a normal church service. I can't comment on the social culture as I'm only visiting, I haven't engaged enough yet.

We had been given confirmation that our wedding was booked for 1pm and a few days later we were told that now another couple that had previously booked for 3pm was entitled to change their spot to 1pm. With my family I’ve been attending ANPC for close to two years. I thought I’d share my experience so far and why I think it is worth considering if you are looking for a place to worship in Perth.
It is diverse - the Body of Christ in heaven is made up of every ethnic group… the church on earth ought to be like that too! ANPC is filled with people from different countries, different backgrounds, different continents, and different life-stages, ages, cultures, languages and colours. Everyone is welcomed and nobody is perfect – high on acceptance and low on formality.
It is unpretentious – I love the simplicity of the worship - there is no great production, no bells and smells, just corporately joining together and doing those things we know please God –in spirit and in truth.
Theology is sound - Bible based theology is taught and demonstrated in simple, clear and unambigious language.

It is a great place for families and kids as well. Multi layered Sunday school and a creche runs during the main service.
English classes are run on most days of the week for those who need help.
Bible study groups happen NOR/SOR/on venue as well.
Service starts at 10am every Sunday and starting Q2-2021 an afternoon service will start as well.

A really nice place to visit and see a bit of colonial history. It's great to see how well the house and the grounds are cared for. We visited on a day when a vintage car club went down after a cruise finished there.
The things inside the house are well cared for, and there's lots of clearly important antique items. So much so that it actually looks a bit crowded, like there's too much stuff in each room, and it feels like you're just looking at a bunch of old stuff with little to no information provided about each item or how it's relevant to the estate or the people who lived here. I think if they had less things, and some plaques to actually tell the story of the people who lived here, it would provide a much more meaningful picture of what life was like here when this beautiful estate was functional.
All in all it's a clearly significant site for the city of Canning, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a free outing. Especially if you're living in Canning.

The preaching was good, and we met the lead elder as well as another friendly person who chatted to us. There is also a church plant in High Wycombe which would probably be another one to visit.

In journeying with Bishop James since his resignation from this church I must say how disappointed I am with it and the members attending. James was truly sad in regard to a number of concerns he had over the direction and leadership of this place. St Johns treated Bishop James horribly, disregarding his leadership and person. If anything, a formal apology needs to come from those in membership there, also from its leadership team. This church left Bishop James humiliated and deeply hurt.
Thankfully our Community, the Franciscans of the Cross, was able to give Bishop James the honour and respect that he so deserved for his love, affection and care of both myself and all our members, friends, and family. Thankfully he no longer has to be reminded of a church that was so unkind.
It is never to late to repent, and repentance is what is needed here.

Found Orthodoxy 6 months ago. Looked for a Church and visited the Saturday English service. Humble, genuine and dedicated priest. Warm and loving community, and we felt very welcome as non-Greeks. Absolutely beautiful Church. Highly recommend for new comers.
