Visited midday on Sunday and ordered from a limited 3-5 pm menu. The food arrived quick and every one of the food items were very well prepared and the shrimp spring rolls were remarkably fresh. Similarly, the lavender and the elderflower cocktails were tasty, thought too heavy on the ice and unexpectedly, served in thick water glasses, which stole from the experience. The waiter was friendly and gave recommendations for food and drinks. The front of the restaurant is well decorated, but the true delight is the patio deck, on top of the green and tranquil creek.

Love this cute restaurant at a small town of San Luis Obispo. Love their outdoor patio. Dog friendly restaurant. Fusion food, dishes that we ordered all of them are good. Staffs are nice. We actually came back twice while visiting there. Price decent. We walked to the restaurant since it’s a distance walk from our hotel. We made rsvp the 2nd time. First time was walking in and lucky they had a table available. So they do take walk in. They can get pack though. It’s very cute town also. Can walk around after for digestions.

An absolutely delightful place to have lunch. Outdoors..and amazing patio with giant oak tree spreading its branches over diners.
I ordered a BLT and the minute I bit in it, my tastebuds danced, for the tomato reminded me of my Mom's incredible tomatoes at our Wisconsin home.
It was soooo good. My Mango Spetizer was the perfect accompliment.
Definitely recommend reservations for it is downtown SLO.

We were looking for a place to eat in SLO that allowed dogs. Novo has a massive deck overlooking a creek. We sat at the edge of the restaurant right by a bridge and a footpath. Perfect seat as we had to duck a couple of times to give our dog a chance to relieve himself. Staff was friendly and food came out quickly.

My wife and I recently visited Taste Craft Eatery before a comedy show at the Fremont, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish.
Upon entering, we were immediately struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with charming decor and soft lighting. The moment we sat down, we were serenaded by Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You," setting the perfect tone for the evening.
The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making our first visit feel special. I opted for the quartet, allowing me to sample four different items from the menu. The shoestring fries were perfectly crispy, and the sliders were nothing short of amazing. My wife chose the pulled pork slider and a chicken sandwich, both of which she thoroughly enjoyed.

It wasn’t busy when we went, we went on a Saturday night around 8pm. Seating was quick and service staff were friendly. Food was great and the portions were perfect. Lots of outdoor dining even tables with fire pits. Beer was cold and not over priced. Highly recommended for sharing or if you want a small meal. Fig burger was amazing.

Overall the food was incredible. I did a trio with the Cobb salad (delicious!), Fall Flyer (soooo good!!) and the Banh Mi (not with real pork belly, wouldn’t order again). Our waiter was great and we sat outside with 14 people and they served us well! Docking a star for two reasons: no espresso machine?! How does a fancy place that serves brunch only have basic coffee- huge miss. Also, the kids meal: cheese burger was a beef patty with cold shredded cheese on top, not melted, and the Mac and cheese was the same: noodles with shredded cheese on top, not really mixed or melted. I would 100% come back as the menu is so interesting and extensive, each visit would offer something different!

Happened to come across Taste while browsing Yelp and decided to stop in for dinner.
The place has a cool vibe—nothing over the top, but definitely not underdone either. You can dress up or keep it casual, which I really appreciate.
Food-wise? A bit of a hit and miss, unfortunately.
I went with the Trio and ordered the Burger in Paradise, Truffled Up Fries, and Gouda & Chorizo Mac N Cheese.
The burger? Solid!
The sauce had a great flavor, and the Gouda was a nice touch. The arugula and tomatoes tasted fresh, and the ciabatta bun and meat were cooked perfectly for my taste.

To be quite honest, I don't think this is a family friendly restaurant at all. There's no kids menu and the only thing your kids can really purchase are a side of fries, a tiny side of mac & cheese that really has no flavor according to my daughter and myself or a plain burger now mind you all of those things to cost for just two items would be $17 for your child. My daughter did not like the mac & cheese at all so instead of just charging us for just a side of fries for which I asked they brought out a giant another plate of fries as her second side and continue to charge us $17 for a plate of fries. While my food was really good, I'm not sure if I'll be back. I understand not every restaurant is a family restaurant, but this was a Monday night and there was no one in there. The least they could do is cater to most of the community who does have children and offer something at a discount cost, knowing how expensive kids are and charging $17 for a quote on quote kids meal is a slap in the face. So disappointing.

I love going to Taste. Every time I’ve been there it is delicious, great service, very inviting atmosphere and never too long of a wait. I really enjoy the ability to mix and match items on the menu because you try new things every visit as well as ordering your favorites. Overall, this place is nice and the food is quite good. The menu allows you to pick numerous options for one price, depending on how many options you want to eat. In my opinion, the menu is a little busy and could be tidied up a bit to make it a little easier to understand. Overall, the service has always been good and this place is a nice change from the normal chain restaurants. It has a bar in the middle of the restaurant which has seating as well. Bathrooms are clean. The parking lot has ample parking but is fairly narrow to navigate in and out of. Parking is there if you need it. Overall, I would give this place between a 4 and 5 star review. The food is ok, not great. The slider options vary quite a bit and some are better than others. If I were in charge of the menu, I would eliminate quite a few of the options and really try to excel at each of the offering plates on the menu. The one item I thought was exceptional was the garlic fries. These come piping hot and chefs have done an amazing job on creating a great flavor profile with this appetizer. Order this as soon as you sit down and enjoy the fries with your friends over a cold beer, cocktail, wine or soda.

We have been dining at Taste since it opened and have always loved the experience
Here’s what we love:
- robust-sized appetizers - truly large enough for 4 to share and get more than one or two bites.
- great atmosphere! We loved the old location and were concerned that the “vibe” would change at the new place but they have managed to make a large venue intimate and perfect for date night.
- never had better brussels. Every variation is just incredible.
- I love the ability to choose smaller dishes, but more items that I know I will eat and love. We often get an appetizer to share and each get a “Choose 2” or “Choose 3” and we’re stuffed. BTW, both of us love to eat so portion size is definitely something we look for.
- Drinks are always perfect
- the menu style is very conducive to sharing dishes amongst friends.
- love the decor and the bar area - very fun
- price - for this kind of food, the price is fantastic!
Things I would change if I could:
- parking is definitely an issue; if you are dining with people who have mobility issues, I would definitely pull in and drop them off, then go and park on the street.

The side of the restaurant is adjacent to the pay parking lot. It was difficult to find using GPS. Street pay parking is available. Maximum parking is 3 hours. Handicap parking and acvess is available. Restaurant has outdoor and indoor seating. You order at the outdoor window counter and seat at any available table. Customer service at the order counter was very friendly, patient and helpful. It was our a first time here so we had lots of questions. The wait for the orders was under 10 minutes. My strawberry salad with chicken was great. Hubby's brisket with beans and bread was delicious. At the back wall of the restaurant is a row of spigots for your choice of draught beer which was very interesting. There are two TV monitors indoors. Large floor to celing windows face the street so you get a good view of the shops, shoppers, etc. The interior is neat clean and organized. Restrooms are located in the back.

This was amazing!!! The service was fantastic. We ordered sweet potato fries and did the wall of beers and wines. It was so fun to experience all the different options and they had options for everyone. I like wine and it was fun to sample local wines and I even discovered a new wine. Old SLO in downtown is a nice venue to kick back and enjoy some solid BBQ. The pulled pork sandwich is very good and the bun was so soft and had a great taste. Honestly, this is more of a PSA then a review - Old Slo is not just one of the most reliably tasty restaurants downtown it is also an EXCELLENT spot to host a party!
We were on the hunt to find a spot to host our group of about 80 for our Wedding Welcome party in downtown SLO and was met with some exorbitantly expensive quotes and honestly impressionable communication. So we had the idea to reach out to Old Slo and I'm so glad we did.
It had everything we were looking for - downtown location, fresh food, private area, easy beer/wine hosting, and no weirdly inflated prices (hello wedding tax). The back room of Old Slo can be rented out and can comfortably fit 60 people (we obviously spilled over to the outside and the front room, worked great). That room is also beautiful, the big windows looking onto the creek, couches and plenty of seating. The staff was excellent, they were incredibly gracious and staggered the catering trays so it was always warm.
The food was SO good. It worked out really well for our guests with dietary restrictions too! Even if you don't need to rent the space, I still absolutely recommend them for catering.
Kevin (Catering Manager) was the MVP. His communication was great and perfectly estimated the food quantities. He is also just a really nice person that was lovely to work with.
10000/10 recommend as an event space! You guys rock!

A friend and I were enjoying the Thursday Night Market when we happened upon Old Slo BBQ giving out free samples of tri tip, pulled pork & ribs. Trying the tri tip, I was pleasantly surprised about the flavor and the texture of the meat, which was quite tender. The young gentleman at the front then tells us that there's a $5 discount on the tri tip sandwich which sold me and my friend and I waited in line for 30min to get this sandwich.
About an hour after trying them out to when we finally got our food, I was shocked. Not only was the tri tip sandwich quite small for a normal $15 price tag (perhaps the $5 discount means you get the small? No one told us) but half the tri tip in the sandwich was raw. Inedibly raw. I swear I poked the raw meat and the sandwich giggled (bad joke).
It was an awful experience. I considered talking to the staff about it, but they were so slammed and stressed that I decided to cut my loss and write this review to hopefully warn other customer & hopefully get management to avoid letting something like this happen. I mean you can see in the picture my hoagie bun was quite bloody..

Our favorite breakfast spot when visiting SLO! Sally Loo’s was recommended from friends that live in the area and we couldn’t have been more glad we came.
Hands down they have the best breakfast food we have ever tried, all while being allergy friendly and quick to get the orders out. I don’t think I have ever seen a cafe that has knocked out a line of 30 people so quickly, all while keeping the food quality top notch.

Some of my most memorable breakfasts have been specials from their menu! Their pastry case always has a couple types of scones, giant cookies, loaves and croissants. The food pricing is sometimes a little higher than I would like, but it’s worth it to me. I got the margarita and 1 taco deal with a side of rice and beans. Total came out to be around $35 with tax and tip which is not too bad. Margarita was super fresh and everything tasted really good! The first time I came here, everything was just okay. I decided to come back with friends, and it was a much better experience. Service improved, and the food was good. While it isn’t completely authentic, it is definitely high-quality Mexican cuisine. Prices are on the more expensive side, but overall, I would recommend it. FAV THING FROM HERE are the beans. Loved the food and atmosphere. The staff was friendly and we were able to make reservations via email the day before. My mother's a strict and picky vegetarian and she devoured the vegetarian enchiladas. The sweet and spicy shrimp tacos were the best recommendation from the server. The fish dish was also a super hit. Everything on the menu and the drinks are amazing. Great back patio as well- would be ideal for a small get-together/ party.

Great little find in slo. Was bummed that they didn't get their fish order when I was there. Was very much looking forward to the red snapper ceviche. They did, however, have some delicious prawns. I had one of the best Chile rellenos stuffed with cheese and large prawns. Shredded beef tacos are highly recommended. The Baja fish tacos are flavorful and large. And our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Will be back again

I celebrated my birthday dinner at Ox + Anchor last night, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we sat down, everything felt elevated, yet welcoming. The cocktails crafted by Dominic were perfection, and Jason provided impeccable service (and bonus points for his amazing hair!).
The food is easily in my top 5 meals ever.
I first discovered their goat cheese croquettes at a recent mixer and had no idea they were a regular menu item! I’m so happy I can order them anytime. The Ox + Anchor egg rolls were wildly flavorful, and that sweet chili sauce? I could drink it.
My only regret was not ordering the bone marrow tater tots (next time, it’s happening). The potato purée was unbelievably smooth and rich, and the crispy polenta was golden on the outside, creamy on the inside. Just pure comfort with a touch of sophistication. The mac & cheese struck the perfect balance: nostalgic, cheesy goodness but leveled up. Oh and the Brussels sprouts—the best I’ve ever had! They were perfectly crisp with bright hits from the pickled red onions.
We were recommended the flat iron steak by not one, not two, but three staff members, and they were absolutely right, it did not disappoint.

We had a fantastic dinner at Ox + Anchor! The Sichuan Pork Dumplings were tasty, though I found myself missing that bold punch I usually expect from traditional pork dumplings. That said, the Ox + Anchor Eggrolls more than made up for it—absolutely excellent!
For mains, both the 12oz Bacon + Blue Ribeye and the Prime New York were cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and just right. The real surprise star for me was the Yukon Gold Puree… soft, creamy, and indulgent. Honestly, I’m not sure I can go back to regular mashed potatoes again! 😄

This place was insanely good. The service and food is the best in SLO. Came here for my anniversary last night and the waiter knew it was before we even sat down and congratulated us. We ordered the crab cakes, oysters, and pork dumplings as starters and they were phenomenal. Highly recommend the dumplings, it’s a great shareable item and they are perfectly steamed over a delicious soy vinegar sauce. The crab cake was also delicious and they masked their own tartar sauce. For entre I had the hanger steak and my wife had the filet. The tray of complementary sauces was a great touch. The red wine reduction sauce was my favorite. Packed with flavor and it’s so delicious I could drink it. Lastly, they gave us warm towels to freshen up before dessert which was so delightful and they smelled like toasted almonds. The dinner was fantastic and the service was outstanding. Will be back!

Had the most incredible 30th birthday dinner here!
Our server Nicole was an absolute delight. Her and the rest of staff assisting her were so kind! She was so pleasant and knowledgeable and want to highlight her warmth!
The atmosphere was intimate and welcoming but didn’t feel crowded.
The food of course was fantastic. The freshly made focaccia and sourdough were incredible. We ordered egg rolls, dumplings, bone marrow tater tots, truffle fries, Mac&cheese, Brussel sprouts and a variety of steaks were ordered for dinner.
We ended dinner with a cake we brought but they gave us pieces of honeycomb chocolate which was such a sweet end to the night.
Everything was delightful and I can’t wait until the next time I go!

We had reservations for 10/18/25 at 7:30 PM and arrived early, around 7:15. The hostess told us it would be just a couple of minutes and that she’d come get us when our table was ready. Ten minutes later, when we went back to check in at 7:26, the same hostess greeted us with a confused “How can I help you?” — which threw us off, considering we had just spoken moments before.
Once seated, it took a while before our server came by. We ordered drinks and fries while we waited — the fries were good, and the drink (a Perfect Margarita) was decent. We then ordered two steaks: one medium and one medium-well.
Over an hour later, we still hadn’t received our food. At that point, we decided to ask for the check and just leave. The waiter was understanding and comped our drinks and fries, which we appreciated, but the overall experience left a bad taste in our mouths.
It genuinely felt like there was some favoritism in who got served — as if locals or regulars took priority. We’re not from the area, and it definitely showed. We’ve had far better service at restaurants charging the same price for a steak.
This was especially disappointing because I’ve been looking forward to trying Ox + Anchor since it opened. We drove two hours just to dine there, and sadly, it was one of the most letdown dining experiences we’ve ever had.

I got an açaí bowl for the first time here and the base of it tasted weird. It was similar to the taste of fridge water, I didn’t taste any of the açaí flavor. I ate only the fruit on top which where good, I just couldn’t eat the smoothie base.

It has an okay environment, I preferred the tables outside, music was okay, a little loud probably because I sat right under the speaker. The food was good, without milk, so my toast #6 didn’t have cheese and my smoothie #6. Both of them together wasn’t good in my opinion, too much green for my taste apparently. I will try again their smoothies not the toasts, it wasn’t tasty without the sauce. Sauce was great. The poppi drink was good, something new to try for me.

They almost always make it perfect. I love when a place pays attention to custom orders. The salads are always good and fresh, too. First thing you do is you order and pay and get a buzzer, then you go find a table for you and your group. We arrived there around 12pm for 2 people and noticed a line forming, luckily it moved quickly. We ordered 2 of their specialty pizzas, the Carnitas and the Butter Chicken, both personal sizes. It took around 20-25 minutes to get our order, but it arrived hot and fresh. The place is huge and it looks very well decorated; It has the feel of a sports bar/restaurant. The service was excellent and everyone is willing to help you. Overall we would highly recommend this place if you’re SLO and looking for a family friendly pizza place.

Pizza was delicious, point blank. Great flavor, plenty of heat (literally), and a decent atmosphere. Only thing I'm not a huge fan of is the ridiculous wait AT THE DOOR, simply to grab some slices and beers. Scrapped my first visit to settle for elsewhere because of it and stuck it out the second time for the sake of trying the darn place. Lots of youth, which is entertaining due to their bliss. Thick doughy crust that was folded over to contain some tomato sauce, heated perfectly throughout to a high temperature enough to keep the cheese stretchy and amazing for at least 20 minutes. An institution for downtown pizza woodstocks has been here essentially my whole life. Their pizza is really solid, and their unique flavors like the siracha-cha are offerings worth going out of the way for sometimes. The sauce is savory and their topping ratios are on point, although they do have a fairly bready crust (great if you love to dip them like me). The dine in experience is very buzzy and has good drinks at good prices. That all being said, their prices have always been on the high end, and kind of never stopped going without adding value. They have a very limited rewards program, and about a year ago halved the size of their dip cups (50 cent charge) on takeout orders. These are less of an issue dining in, but it's made me turn to other pizza places like Palo Mesa and My Friend Mike's when I want a great pizza out of the big chain pizza bubble. Places like that also offer unique toppings, and do it for a little less cash than woodstocks. You won't go wrong with woodstocks pizza, but for the price there's better takeout options IMHO. They are open exceptionally late at night which has been very helpful. Pictured: 2 medium pepperoni and a personal siracha-cha with 5 dips - $69 with a 5 dollar tip for pickup.

Just came on here to give the biggest kudos to the bartender Caleb. Me and my sister came here for some cocktails and Caleb made me one of the BEST old fashions I've ever had. I definitely recommend the Campfire cocktail.

The restaurant has a deal where you get a free tea for leaving a review. I left the review below and got interrogated for 10 minutes straight because it was not showing up on the management end for some reason. The waiter tried to grab my phone out of my hands and the manager got visibly upset and impatient. The situation resolved with the manager reluctantly saying “she would pay for me” even though we completed the terms and even showed them the proof of the review. Such interrogation made our meal very difficult to enjoy in peace.

Our party of two had dinner here on a Sunday evening. Service was good and very attentive, restaurant is very nicely decorated with traditional Thai style. We had Pad eggplant and Param with tofu, which was a good amount of food for the two of us. Our dishes were very tasty. I went to this place after 2 of our friends recommended it. My order is as shown in pictures:

All the starters were good. I can highly recommend the golden bags. Perfect combination of crispy from the outside and mushy from the inside. It is filled with sweet potato 🍠 smashed if I’m not wrong. I kinda liked the lettuce 🥬 wrap but my wife loved it so it depends on person to person. Iced tea is a delight and can go with any dish.
Pad Thai noodles 🍝 was not out of the world but it was good enough. Only complaint I had was regarding service. Starters and main course came at the same time so by the time we were done with the starters, main course was kind of cold. And secondly waiter didn’t ask us the spice level and we could’ve went for a bit spicy noodles.
Overall you can enjoy nicely if you are craving for a Thai food 🥘.

Tonight I had a Mushroom Ziggy patty ‘hamburger’, my husband enjoyed the Old 58 Ziggy patty burger along with fries and we shared an avocado roll.

We come here as a super special treat. Definitely a guilty pleasure vegan restaurant. Most recent visit included ratchet fries, chick'n sandwich, and old 58 Burger. Super yummy! The one in SLO has a few small tables inside and outside, but is mostly a takeout joint. The restaurant in Paso Robles has a few more seats inside and outside but both have equal menus and are equally delicious! Overall, I wish they had larger establishments with bigger seating options for bigger groups of people.

This place is a must for any plant based eaters in the area. We had it once about a year ago while passing through on a road trip and had it not once but twice while back in SLO for an event. The food is more on the indulgent side but still feels healthy, with salads and bowls as well. The taquitos had an amazing sauce and kale on top which were fantastic. We came back specifically to order them again. I remembered the girl working there from the year prior and she was really nice and helpful. Prices are fair for what you get and they have generous portions. While you can eat there it's very small and can only sit about 6 people total. We grabbed the food and then ate it near the beach. Highly recommended for vegans and non vegans alike!

My partner and I (both vegan) stumbled on this place while on a road trip from SF. We wish this place could come back to SF with us! My partner loved the Crunchwrap supreme and I got the breakfast burrito (which is served all day) which was delicious. We split a chocolate shake for dessert and it was one of the best vegan shakes I’ve ever had. The server was super cool and gave us a little extra of the chocolate shake. It’s a small spot so maybe better as takeout for large groups but definitely worth the stop!

Stopped by here on my way to visit up north. The staff was realy cool and chill, the food was good as well. My only complaint would be that the burrito i ordered was pretty skimp for just about $20. I dont know if I would go back because the portion of food didnt add up to the price for me. If your gonna charge around $20 for a burrito then at least hook it up. If so, I may try this place again.

My wife and I live about a month from this location and had never had the opportunity to order from it, but were always curious.
We ordered a medium pizza and cheese bread for pick up to-go from Palo Mesa and were both pleasantly surprised. The turnaround time was fast, the staff was friendly, and both the pizza/cheese bread were tasty. We see this is a relatively budget conscious ($30 total for 2 people) and easy go-to pizza spot going forward that offers a great family style pizza. The pizza dough was slightly chewy with a crunch and made the pizza.

Usually, I never leave reviews, but after multiple visits, I felt I had to share my experience. My sister, who has special needs, loves milkshakes, so that’s usually what we come for. Unfortunately, every time I order one, the employee’s attitude instantly changes.
The girl who helped us today started off polite, but as soon as I ordered the first milkshake her demeanor completely shifted. When the milkshakes were ready, she placed them on the counter without whipped cream or lids. When I politely asked for whipped cream, she asked if we wanted it on both shakes which seemed unnecessary since it’s usually included. She didn’t offer to give us the milkshake lids so we chose to do it with the coffee lids one of them had little to no whipped cream so the lid worked, but the other milkshake spilled, that’s when I asked for the milkshake lids, she told me they didn’t have any and that they only carried the coffee ones, even though I could clearly see some right behind her. Only after that she turned around and gave us the lids.
There was no “thank you” or “goodbye” just an overall cold and uncomfortable experience. It’s disappointing that even when you treat staff with kindness and patience, they can’t offer basic courtesy in return. I hope management addresses this, because experiences like this make customers feel unwelcome for no reason.

This is my favorite Scout location. Plenty of parking in the plaza and the surrounding area. There are lots of good things in the surrounding plaza and across the street too. This location is very close to the campus and is almost always busy. There lots of space inside and out and the staff is very friendly and can handle the high volume. We got a cheddar and bacon scone , blueberry muffin, matcha Latte, woodlands latte. The cheddar scone was awesome and the muffin was good as well. Matcha was good but slightly milky in flavor. The Almond milk latte I got was their Homemade woodlands flavor. It was a mix of maple , citrus and Douglas Fir. Like as in the tree. I know it sounds crazy, but it was actually subtle and pleasant. I enjoyed the flavor all the way to the bottom of the cup. I also went there another day for a winter seasonal and got the maple and sea salt latte which was great as well. This is my most favorite location and will keep coming back for more.

Located in the same plaza as rite aid, near campus many students come here and visit to study with hipster vibes in the background.

Went today and tried some stuff. Out of what we got, they had a great hot vanilla latte and hot chocolate. For real, the hot chocolate...get it. You won't regret it.
The pastry selection was amazing. Tons of selection and they can heat the pastry . I loved the morning bun. Perfectly flaky, a slight chew to the dough, and tossed in a cinnamon sugar mix. Not too sweet in my opinion. The savory chives scone was also really good, I was pleasantly surprised.
I would definitely go again. There are a ton of seats and the natural light from all the windows is beautiful. It gets really busy around 9am. So for those who want to work and chill, get there early. They open 6:30am-6:30pm.

I've been to nearly every pizza place in SLO over the last 30 years and my friend mikes is exceptional. I like Bear and Wren, I like Pizza Republic, the Nuccis Hawaiian has a place in my heart, Palo Mesa makes a good pie, and Flour House's wood fired pizzas are great. They're all good pizzas, but My friend mikes is separate from all of those because of its style, and from what I'm told by people who know better it's a very New York style compared to what's usually out here. Their pizza is a thin crunchy crust with a little chew and a very toasty bottom. Great cheese to sauce ratio as well. Judging by the quality and cook of the pizza the other more topping laden ones will hold up just as well. Some other places in town mentioned above even do a style similar to mikes, but they don't do it as good, and they don't do it for $25 for a 16". We had a simple pepperoni pie, only one sized is served, and we obliterated every tasty morsel. Go out of your way to try my friend mikes, I drove by it for way too long before finally getting to enjoy it and I won't be missing out again.

So great to have another healthy option in SLO! I usually get the Mexi Breakfast Bowl, with an extra egg, and it’s so good and filling. I have been here twice now...both times the device is very slow. I work in hospitality and customer service and when someone walks in you acknowledge them at least. I have made blended drinks and wraps and there is no excuse to hear the door bell jingle and NOT say, "Hey Welcome in! I'll be right with you!" It makes the wait for service less bothersome because at least you know they know you're there. The first time I came in I waited was not acknowledged for over 5 minutes then a woman cut me in line because she thought I was waiting for my food and that I had already ordered. I just left after that because it was frustrating. Then today I decided to give it a go again because I really wanted healthy food. The food was great but the service was a test of patience again. I'll still come back but the girls working in there are very immature when it comes to customer satisfaction and maybe need someone with more confidence and experience in charge.

If you have a chance to eat at the Plant Ivy Food Truck, do it! These burgers are delicious :) They are all vegetarian (vegan patties), but can easily be made vegan. There are multiple options for vegan cheese (I love both the cheddar and provolone!), the coconut bacon is an excellent addition, and the pretzel buns are something special! Ivy herself is a lovely, kind person and I love seeing her big smile whenever we go put in our order. This restaurant definitely surpassed all of our expectations! It was amazing! All the food was so fresh and flavorful and the owner/chef and his wife who sat us and served our meals were so sweet and welcoming. She took the time to explain the different dishes and asked what our preferences were - whether we liked sweet or savory, spicy or mild and depending on our answers gave us suggestions on what to order. Definitely recommend the Oasis sampler appetizer which was delicious. One of our favorite things was the lentil soup that was SO flavorful and wonderful! My husband got the whole fish which was the local rock fish and said it was amazing! A couple of us had the lamb kabobs that were so tender and flavorful. We were so full we couldn’t eat dessert BUT we took some home-made baklava and their home- made ice cream to go and ate it later! Those were absolutely fantastic!! You really need to eat here. You won’t be disappointed!

What a delight to see a choice of local fresh caught whole fish- so I had rock cod- and was super stoaked to get a nice sized fish (head removed- but that's ok). Cooked in Moroccoan- Mediterranean style- perfectly done and beautifully seasoned. We got to meet the Chef/owner, Karim Benrahim, and his wife- very personable and interesting folks! Price is on the high end for what you get compared to similar types of establishments across the country (but this is SLO California, so...). Both sandwiches were rated as excellent. Somehow, I seem to be finding more gems here than in my own hometown but I guess that gives me more excuses to come and visit my daughter at Cal Poly. If I looked closely, it seems there are Urbane Cafes all over the place but the only one I recall visiting is in SLO and I have photographic evidence I was there - even if my face isn’t included in any if the pictures.

Tried Gino's pizza for the first time today! We got the large BBQ chicken pizza with ranch on the side and some sodas. They had a lot of options, and I'm excited to try more in the future! Gino's catered a huge school event for us, and the compliments never stopped from the families eating the perfect Italian family meal. It all started with amazing service from Bill in helping me plan this meal for approx. 200 people. He was more like a friend than someone who worked at a restaurant. Never once did Bill try to sell me on more than I needed or upsell me on something that wasn't appropriate for our event. He was like the best friend who helps you through a panic attack and makes everything better. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and thoughtful Bill and his team were. The chef, Mario, and his team had all the food looking beautiful, uniform, and delicious! Having worked in restaurants, I know there's always something that gets missed, even if really small. But not with Gino's, everything was perfect, and I think we actually may have gotten a little more than we ordered. There was not one issue with our countless trays of food.
When you look at value, quality, customer service, and friendliness, I can't imagine a better catering experience in the area. Thank you Bill, Mario, and team!! I'm a lifer Gino's fan.

I love Gino's! I know I probably shouldn't be eating pizza as much as I should, but this is my go-to place. You can customize your crust, they pile up the toppings, and my orders have always been perfect. This last delivery, I was given a special treat (with a nice hand-felt note and drawing! ) and some extras. Just a notice.. For lunch, we got the beef and salmon burgers with the recommended signature pairing which were both delicious and nicely made. The salmon with the avocado and red onion was both refreshing and not overcooked. The beef was soft and tasty, with the cheese and bell pepper as a nice addition.
On the side, we had the tater tots and onion rings which tasted great with a nice crunch.
To drink, we had iced tea and a Shirley temple, both weren’t too sweet and paired with the meal nicely.
Finally, dessert was a creamy cheesecake which wasn’t too crumbly nor sweet. The raspberry syrup was also a good touch.
Overall, it was a great experience with delicious food and lovely service.

High hopes, but kind of a letdown. First off, 87.00 dollars for two burgers with fries, a glass of wine and an iced tea seems a bit much. Was expecting it to wow us. They have gluten free options there. The gluten free bun was not prepared well and completely fell apart after one bite. Wishing I would have just skipped the bun. Fries are in a dedicated fryer. The fries were all just pieces... All broken up. The iced tea was pretty good. The staff was nice but a bit aloof. Really wanted to like the place, but thought it was just mediocre and overly priced.

I first discovered this ORGANIC, GRASSFED, NON GMO, TOTALLY HEALTHY AND FABULOUS FOOD PLACE in Manhattan, New York a few years ago. Just ate at the San Luis Obispo, California location and had the same great experience!
I feel great after eating here which days a lot. NO BRAIN FOG, NO LETHARGY, and HAPPY FEELING.
I choose a bison burger with sauteed onions, their signature sauce, and smoked mozzarella cheese. I also enjoyed a vanilla milkshake with actual raspberries added to it. All ORGANIC and healthy! Check out the pictures for more details. They should open a location in Northern, Idaho, and Tulsa Oklahoma.
Our waitress was very friendly and informative! The atmosphere and music is soft and pleasant.
