We tried the classic breakfast with toast, on the side fluffy pancakes with local maple syrup, and treated ourselves to a matcha pistachio latte and a Mexican mocha latte — everything was delicious and beautifully presented!
A special shoutout to our waitress, Hailey, who made the whole experience even better. She was so friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Her warm service really set the tone for a perfect morning.

Came to Grand Bend for a day trip and it was the second day they opened for the summer season, had the spicy chicken chipotle pasta and the spice had a good amount and was worth the price. The wooden facade, plastic chairs with umbrellas for both indoor/outdoor dining were invitingly an easy choice for a beachfront vibe along Main Street. A late dinner for us with some salad, pastas, burgers, wings and steak. It’s also the closest to view the sunset before heading back to the parking lot. I’d definitely want to come back again.

Their salads are why I came. I could eat there every day and not get bored. It was a hard choice to make but I ultimately got the beet salad. Next time I have to try the pear salad. The greens were fresh and delicious. The fries were not great. They tasted better than they looked but they looked like what remains on the bottom of the batch. My go to is always fish and chips (fries). They do need to change up the fries. They were not good at all very small pieces and over cooked. The fish was good and seemed a little over cooked as well. Instead of haddock maybe try halibut instead or both on the menu add some fun unique types of light seasoning when done cooking to make part of the atmosphere can be a big hit with visitors and diners. Prices for appetizers vs portion amount was a little high. Just a little TLC with menu portions and flavours would go a long way. It is our go to spot but really like if they took some of this feedback and made some small changes that would make a big improvement.

Super cute restaurant located five minutes away from the main strip. The food was amazing! We ordered the penne pasta and pickerel both were great. This is such a great place to dine in the lovely town of Grand Bend. We went to have an early dinner during a long weekend.Their great menu is the reason we chose this place with plenty of shareable options, appetizers,wraps,pastas and sides.we were greeted by the host/server who was really nice and attentive.We ordered English style fish and chips accompanied by curry sauce as an extra side, and south western style grilled chicken wrap with coleslaw. The quantity of both the dishes were a lot for both of us to finish. Everything tasted so delicious, flavors balanced to perfection, ingredients were fresh and the house special curry sauce was out of this world . You have the option of replacing the default sides with other sides in the menu(prices may or may not apply). For the beverages we ordered the IPA and brown ale, which were good too. If not for the natural beauty of Grand bend, the Paddington pub is surely a reason to visit the town. Thank you for the great service.

Stopped in here on a whim today as we were just driving by. Usually I have these things pre planned but today I walked in with zero expectations.
We were just leaving the beach & had a group of 11. So I wasn’t expecting to get in anywhere without a reservation. But the back patio was wide open & fit us all! The staff was all so amazing. I can’t say enough about our waitress either. She was dynamite!
The food took about 40 min. Which was absolutely understandable. We were a big group on a random Monday so they were doing their best.
All of our food was piping hot & the portions were great!! They had a lot of unique items to choose from as well.
We started with the cheese dip. It was served with garlic naan and it was huge hit with everyone! I would recommend ordering extra naan with it tho.
For the main I went with the fried haddock & basmati rice. It was so delicious! Highly recommend.
My husband had the Buffalo wrap which was also amazing. They didn’t use franks hot sauce & so many places do! So it was a nice change.
Our son went with the chicken finger meal & it was a ton of food! Pretty standard meal but the portion was great.
Overall it was a wonderful experience & definitely recommend checking out this little gem if you’re in the area.

Cozy atmosphere (tent outside with tinkley lights, white linen tablecloth and napkins etc. Pictured are chocolate mousse, coconut cream pie and pistachio gelato chocolate chip cookie sandwich (all house made). Walk in for a rare date night with husband ona reservation. 7 tables open inside alone. We are directed to a little table right by the door. We asked for any other table please, and the hostess went to check in the back. Somehow not at the reservation book up front. Came back and said no - sorry you have to sit here .So there we sat. Food was okay. Appetizer was lukewarm. We got accidentally bumped into by the next three tables that came in and sat elsewhere, an upper room, or out on the patio. Midori has always been one of our favourite spots, the sushi is amazing with vibes to match, but the new owners have taken it to another level of perfection! The food is exquisite!! And there is now an oyster bar in the basement! I could ramble on and on, but you just need to go! 100/10 highly recommend. Honestly, the meal was on par with anything you could get in Toronto or Vancouver.

I recently checked out Midori Sushi in Grand Bend, and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The Blueberry Hoisin Habanero wings were a standout—perfect balance of sweet and mild heat, with a surprise crunch from the candied fennel. The wings were absolutely massive too! The shrimp tempura was light and crispy, just melting in your mouth.
The sushi was top-notch, especially the Over the Rainbow Roll—fresh tuna, salmon, and avocado. Don't skip on this roll. The Dynamite and Pay It Forward Rolls are a MUST TRY too. To finish, we had mochi balls for dessert, and they were delicious.

This was our first visit to Midori with our friends and we loved it!! They guys had the chicken burgers with tempura sweet potato which was absolutely delicious and we shared the 2 sushi dishes. We started with the tornado potato and the wings for apps they were so good and the sauce is not hot or spicy it’s a perfect combination of flavours! Small sushi restaurant in Grand Bend. Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. Inside they have a few tables. I booked a reservation prior to coming and recommend that anyone else do the same. We were served by Steele. Steele had excellent knowledge of the menu, and made great recommendations. He was also prompt with any requests we made. Midori has a unique drink menu which peaked my interest as I was eager to try the local wines. Directly outside the restaurant you will find limited street parking. The restaurant is very close to the main strip in Grand Bend and within walking distance to most places. Overall, it was a great experience and will be returning if ever in Grand Bend and in the mood for sushi.

Had lunch today. I have to say the sushi was incredible. We had the dumplings and vegetable Tempura as an appetizer. Dumplings were ethically delicious. Tempura was made to perfection. They even had tempura asparagus.
The specialty rolls we had were the Big Dill, Dynamite, One Love with spicy mayo instead of the curry, and Mount Fuji. Presentation was beautiful and taste was outstanding. Each roll was different, and super flavourful.
Sarah, our server was very attentive and friendly. Her menu suggestions were top-notch.
Well, worth the money spent. And the drinks were delicious lol. We each had two.

We booked a table for our anniversary and we very pleased. Normally we would have dined on the lower patio but it was a bit rainy. The indoor dining area is tired and lacks a warm and cosy atmosphere. It is quite noisy and makes conversation difficult. Ot just needs a good renovation with something on the floor to deadening the sounds from other di news. Apart from that the sushi was delicious fresh and nicely presented. We enjoyed some wine and Sapporo on tap. Taylor our server could not have been nicer. She was helpful with our order and was charming and engaging and a real asset to the establishment! She even decorated our dessert platter with an anniversary wish herself! In short she made our dinner a real special event. Of course we would recommend this as a dining option and hope to return again soon. If you like sushi it is the best you can get in the area!

Back in July my family and I decided to visit this place for my birthday. Since we were already at the beach and it was last minute, we didn’t have any reservations.
We waited 20 minutes in their beautiful garden, and they have lovely outdoor waiting area with comfortable seats on one side at the front of the restaurant and super cute swings on the other side perfect for Instagram photos. Their outdoor patio was serene, private with beautiful Buddha decor.
The staff was absolutely 10/10. I wish I could remember our waitress name as she was a delight to talk too. So professional, memorized all our others and even brought me a mango sorbet on the house to celebrate my bday.
Their sushi menu is definitely unique and offers wide variety of dishes. It was so delicious, we stuffed at the end of the night.

The Grand Bend 'Dennys' offers a Thai takeout that is by far the best in the area.
We ordered the 3 fresh rolls, which were HUGE, and the chicken satay spiced perfectly alongside a delicious fresh salad. The spring roll sauce, the peanut sauce for the satay, and the salad dressing were to die for!
I discovered this gem a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to go back with my husband today.

You visited on Canada Day at 1:00 p.m.. there were plenty of parking spaces and tables available. We took a table under the awning. It was a nice and cool area to sit and have lunch. Dogs are allowed and there is a water bowl for them by the counter. This place place has combination of Thai food and traditional drive-in food. After not coming here in 10 years I finally made it back. The food was amazing. The double cheeseburger was very good and very filling. The fries were just as amazing as we remember them. The ice cream was great however it would be better if they had waffle cones and the portion for the “large” cone was slightly bigger. Other than that 10/10 highly recommend!

came for lunch and we ordered a cheeseburger with a poutine and a 2 piece fish and chips. the food came out quickly and at a great temperature. they also have a great dog friendly patio to sit on while you eat.

So we visited Riverview pizza for lunch after our swim and the beach and we were not disappointed.
We very greeted and seated by our hostesses who was warm and welcoming.
We ordered 2 large pizzas, a pound of wings, some garlic bread and a kids pizza.(which was served with a side of fries.)
The pizzas took about 20-25 mins but they when they arrived I realised why they took so much time.
The pizzas were freshly made and they were both delicious. The wings were decent too.
It also made me happy to know that this was a family owned business and this was being operated since 30 years.
Kudos for keeping the quality intact.
I'll definitely visit again when I visit Grand Bend.

We followed that with a large Deluxe pizza, which was just the right amount of pizza for four people. The stone-baked crust was so good! It was pizza worth eating with a fork and knife. The wings are great really crispy and a good size. I'll be coming back for those and try a couple other things out. Just preference but I wasn't fussy on the pizza, the crust was too bread like and there's a spice in the sauce or meat that gave me wicked heartburn. It's a preference thing regardless. Visited this pizzeria for lunch while in town for the day. This was off season so the place was not too busy. Staff were very attentive, helpful and pleasant. Food was amazing. The place is very near the Grand Bend beach. It is not overlooking at the beach but we love the ambience of the restaurant.
The retro pop-culture theme is on point. The price is not cheap but its worth it.
The serving is big and even their kids menu has a very generous serving. All the food are delicious but the Ravioli Carbonara is my favorite.
My kids love the food and the place as well.
They have 2 washroom (one is for disabled and with baby changing area) Kid-friendly as they have kids menu and baby high-chair.
The staff and friendly and serving was fast.
We had a great time in Tipsy Pelican and hoping to come back when we visit Grand bend again :)

The outdoor seating is pretty small so we opted to sit inside and didn’t have to wait for a table.
Both The Gin Genie and Flowers 16 Cocktails were delicious. Highly recommended the whipped ricotta though it was a big portion for just two of us. The Chicken Lemonato and Ravioli Carbonara were both delicious as well.

Visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon after the rush hour for drinks after seeing an instagram post. We grabbed a seat by the sidewalk to observe all the passersby. You can also see people enjoying themselves in the water from a distance. The vibe can’t get better!

The brownie was incredible, one of the best I have had (and I'm a baker).
The nachos were also delicious but should be a smaller size ( was enough to feed 5 people minimum).
The garden rigatoni was also really good and my baby loved it. Tried 2 burgers and they were just okay. Some items are a little pricey but the portions are large.
This place is really accommodating for a family with a young one and the server we had for both nights was really nice and thoughtful.

Nice setting with friendly staff but the food was mediocre at best. Their main appeal is convenience. Our dessert was clearly pre-cut from a frozen package and not warmed up thoroughly. Service was fine, wait times were okay.
Big issue I had was when my food came out after 20+ minutes the plate was scolding hot, my veggies were dehydrated and my dipping sauce was cooked.
Instantly told me the food was just put in the microwave.
Tried my wings anyways…flavourless, dry, and just tasted like charred microwaved chicken.
Extremely disappointed as none of my food was even remotely edible.
Worst part was none of the staff aside from our server even cared to ask or address the issue.
I’m not a picky eater but this food was atrociously disgusting, and the lack of care was enough for me to never return.
Seeing as if I had paid for my meal it would have been 40+$ for that quality of food is insane,
Highly recommend avoiding this place as we took a chance after reading about frozen / microwaved food and it did not pay off.

Finally experienced my very first beaver tail after YEARS of waiting!!! It was everything and more 😍 I shared the avalanche with my husband. Which first of all was a huge mistake. I had one with cinnamon sugar and another with Nutella and powdered sugar. Both were amazing, not too heavy but so tasty. It’s the perfect treat to enjoy while walking around Grand Bend. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area, definitely worth it!

We drove 25 minutes to get beavertails, food was okay- nothing great tho. i was kind of disgusted by the three young girls there and there poor attitudes to a customer, especially as a customer who tipped them 15%. one girl who was handling cash and then touching food- with no handwashing in between. No gloves on for food handling for any of them.
i got 4 beavertails to bring home, and very politey asked for a box, and then the one girl turned around and snapped at me saying they dont give boxes for regular beavertails only for those with icecream- but there icecream was all melted in there freezers, so why would i want that, and especially when im travelling back home with it?!? Then she starting telling me that they dont have enough boxes.... it made zero sense. If the owner reads this, i would suggest being on top of your inventory, and maybe having a conversation with the girls running and operating your store, as someone who works heavily in the food and service industry- im really disappointed in my experience this evening.

Update 2024 - I've been coming every year for several years. I still love this little Cafe but the quality has dropped. My potatoes were soggy and cold and the cereal that came on the kids board was soft and very very stale. You guys are awesome and I think the Cafe is a beautiful little gem, please keep up with the standards you previously had.

Scones were great, we got cheese and strawberry rhubarb, raspberry turnover is a must, lemonade was perfect and not too sweet which we really liked. Only disappointment were the croissants. They're more of a soft bready texture but proper traditional croissants are super flaky, theirs weren't bad but don't go in expecting the french style ones. Great service and smiling faces as well. We really liked it.

Our group of 6 arrived and during that time they were busy and had some issues in the back. But they worked hard and got everything out to us in the dining area so we could eat up before they closed at 8pm. I myself have to say that their tossed chicken Alfredo was the best I have ever had! Hands down one of the most disappointing pizza experiences I’ve had and we paid $60 for it (2 mediums + 1 small gluten-free). Total waste of money.
The crust was ridiculously thick, dry, and chewy more like underbaked bread than pizza. The toppings were sparse and thrown on without any care. One slice had some sad pineapple and green pepper with barely any cheese. Another slice was drenched in some weird white sauce that made the whole thing taste like soggy cardboard.
The gluten-free pizza was slightly better, but still nothing to write home about.
For $60, you’d expect decent quality. What we got instead felt like leftovers thrown together in a rush. Nothing about this meal was satisfying not the crust, not the toppings, not even the presentation. Honestly, you’d get better quality at a frozen pizza aisle.
Would never order again. Save your money and your appetite.

I should have read the reviews before ordering. I agree with other reviewers. I've been to many Pizza Delights especially when I was a kid and they were everywhere. This location shames the memory.
Very little to no sauce at all. The taste is completely wrong especially when my kid says this is gross knowing she loves Pizza Delight, she loves every other location but this one.
I would highly recommend you ask for extra sauce, maybe you'll get some sauce then.
We will never come back, first and last visit.

**edit update: owner followed up with us about unhappy review and pleasantly made the same order for us the next day with a lot better turn out. They were understaffed and training new staff so the problem was a result of that. Pretty happy with the fact that he cared so much to satisfy customer. Still needed to add some bbq sauce to satisfy my taste on the pizza but that might be me only.
Honestly shouldve read reviews prior to ordering here. For the price, very poor quality pizza. Dry, no taste, sauce is super weak and tasteless. I cant even taste the ingredients to be honest. So weird. Not sure if they did something different or changed cooks, but ive had better pizza here before im sure of it. Horrible pizza experience. Only thing good here is the cheese garlic fingers i guess.

Came here for ice cream and was very satisfied by the size and the price. Can’t speak much on the food menu but everything looked very expensive so we chose to eat elsewhere. There is limited outdoor seating, but it wasn’t too busy when we were there on a Saturday evening.

We went to Grand Bend beach to spend our last beach day this summer but it was not going great… until we went to Hobo Piez! The food was AMAZING. The fries was SUPER crispy! Called in an order said 15-20 minutes on the phone, show up and they didn’t even have the order right, they didn’t have it under the right name, and when they did find the right name they still had it wrong. After paying they said it’d be a little and I asked how long are you thinking because it’s been almost 30 minutes, she said 15 minutes which means they haven’t even started my order. So we waited in the parking lot for an extra 15 minute. Whoever the manager/boss is maybe needs to be in at night time or help assist them with the proper way to deal with a pick up order. On Sept 1 we ordered 2 foot long subway sandwiches. If I knew that the bread was not cooked fully I would have returned them. Inside the bread it was sticky and doughy and gave me terrible indigestion. It was unfortunate I discovered this late because of the sauces it was not initially evident.
Plus I suspect the bread is not healthy in the first place. At one time there were ingredients that were similar to yoga mats and band in Europe. Show us the ingredient list in your bread!
I will never return to Subway plus it is an American company. Mr Sub is the Canadian version.

This is a pretty sad spot.
I paid $10 for a veggie salad that they only filled up half way.. it was really sad. When I said half a bowl. It was about 1-1/2 cups of lettuce, 1/4 cup of onion, green peppers and cucumber.
There were no other ingredients available to add to it.
They were also low on a lot of vegetables, it was a bit of a struggle.
I suggest avoiding this place.

I’ve been to fancy restaurants this isn’t it…it’s a old house used as a restaurant with no updates but its cozy. This is family operated and they’re very nice people. If you’re craving Chinese food you won’t get better than this any where close. With that said I ordered battered shrimp and fried spring rolls with Cantonese fried noodles and fried rice. The portions are big see below my rating for each item I ordered.
Veg Spring rolls: 5/10
Battered shrimp: 7/10
Cantonese fried noodles: 8/10
Fried rice: 6/10
Of course I would eat here again…if you want spice add sriracha, if you want extra flavour order items with meat and add soya or sweet sour sauce. Caution: Not Halal.

It is one of those Chinese - Canadian places where one should not expect anything close to Chinese food. This place is a trap for Grand Bend visitors. Probably local farmers don't mind it for the lack of other options, but unfortunatelly the food was just bad. They don't even know how to prepare basic fried rice with mushrooms - there was probably 1 mushroom minced in it. Having said that, washrooms were clean and the room was nicely designed. Smelled like an old house which it is. The host was nice and everything, but if food is bad, no point to stop there.

Someone said hello as soon as I walked in, and gave me suggestions with the menu. They were friendly and the food was made fresh + quick. Was still piping hot after a 15 min drive. Delicious, large chicken balls at an awesome price! Thanks Sunshine fam!
