quite a big beach, on the left side ideal for kids being repaired (no waves), close all the services as supermarket, banks, restaurants.. nice waves if you like

Nice beach with nice restaurants and places to stay nearby. The town itself is not that pretty, but it’s cheaper than nearby beaches which you can drive and visit such as Camburi and Maresias.

Such a beautiful place. With very friendly locals. I can't wait to visit again. With love from South Africa. ❤️

What I liked: - the town and the beach looked reasonably not too crowded, allowing us to find easily space for ourselves on the beach and at the restaurant What I did not like: - the town is in fact just a short road with some bars and restaurants, but there is not a real attraction to visit after the beach.
Andrea R — Google review
Nice beach with some structure and some beach-facing things like restaurants. > Traffic to arrive may be terrible, so pay attention to the period you're visiting. Going on off-season periods is better. > It's not the cleanest beach, but water is good enough for swimming. > You will need to consume (eat or drink) to rent the umbrella and chairs. When I went there it was BRL30 consumption per person. > In comparison to other local beaches, I felt very safe in there. People were friendly and never hostile in any sense.

Nice sun sets, not much else to offer, horrible food, bad service, everything is overpriced, seems they are taking everything they can from the fame of medina, don't bother going much much better places to see in Brazil, or better you go visit so less people where we go haha

The parking situation is a bit crazy. Be prepared to walk for awhile before getting to the beach. There is, in fact, parking on the shoulder but far away. More close to the beach there are "no parking" signs on the shoulder, but further away there aren't signs. I also saw another place down with a gate where people were parking. They werent allowing cars to enter the gated community that has access to the beach itself. It's super beautiful. There was a lot of people albeit was a Saturday. We saw some interesting wildlife. Theres lots to explore around and the water was fun for people of all ages. The trail is not too difficult and it's paved the whole way. We did it slowly in flipflops and carrying beach chairs and umbrellas. It took us maybe 12-15 minutes to get back up to the top and very beautiful along the way. You can stop at the waterfall before the beach.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful beach! It has a large lawn for chairs or beach towels! The sea is crystal clear, with lots of rocks on the left side, and the right side is better for swimming. I preferred to stay on the left side, on the rocks, because it forms a natural pool; on the right side, there were some boats and it smelled a bit like fuel. We left the car on the shoulder and it took 15 minutes to get to the beach. (Original) Praia linda! Deixamos o carro no acostamento e demoramos 15 min pra chegar à praia.

(Translated by Google) The best beach in São Sebastião, in my humble opinion. There's no parking and you can't drive your car inside the condominium; to get to the beach you have to walk uphill for about 10 minutes. There are no bars or kiosks, which means it's almost empty every day, which I LOVE. The sea is calm but there are many rocks, so you have to be careful.

Praia Brava is a beautiful and pristine beach with clean surroundings. The trail to reach it via Estrada da Praia Brava is of moderate level, mainly used for hiking, and features a dirt road with few elevations. Visitors recommend bringing plenty of water and snacks due to steep climbs. The undeveloped beach offers seclusion as there are few people and no kiosks. It is a long walk, and for those who are physically fit it is quite easy, but for those who are not, it is possible to go with a few breaks along the way. The trail has two viewpoints, and the view from up there is very beautiful. When you get to the beach, on the right there is a freshwater river that flows into the sea, the water is very clean and cold. The sea is very strong, so it is best not to risk going in, just admire the view. Take your trash with you, as there is no collection or trash cans on the beach.

(Translated by Google) It's not really a "trail"; I went by motorcycle and stopped a little before the actual spot, halfway. There are some pillars at the entrance to prevent you from passing. These are very simple and short paths: one to the left that leads to a rock and gives you a view of Paúba Beach, and another to the right, which leads to a viewpoint and gives you a view of Maresias Beach. In any case, the place is beautiful and worth a visit. But it's not a trail, at most a walk, lol. (Translated by Google) The Maresias-Paúba trail is a great option for those looking for an easy and rewarding hike. The trail is about 2 km (round trip) to the viewpoints that have views of Maresias beach and Paúba beach. It is a well-structured trail, with wooden and dirt stairs, making the path easier. The trail passes through an area of preserved Atlantic Forest, with sections undergoing forest recovery. Along the way, it is possible to see birds, small mammals and reptiles, so it is worth keeping an eye out for the local fauna. The view from the viewpoint, 50 meters high, is incredible and allows you to see both Maresias and Paúba, as well as the rocky coastlines and the blue sea. Access begins inside a condominium, just before the mountain range - at the exit of Maresias. The trail takes about 40 to 60 minutes (round trip), depending on your pace. It is a peaceful, easy hike that is well worth it! The visuals are very beautiful. No caminho, é possível ver aves, pequenos mamíferos e répteis, então vale a pena ficar atento à fauna local. Great value meal in there, you can get a steak for 35 reais, which is quite rare in Juquehy. One of the most honest places to lunch in the city. We’ve been there twice and can’t complain about it, both quality and size are great (specially for the price paid). Btw, the “meal of the day” option isn’t on the menu, you must ask the waiter for it.

The glass is painted black with only one coat, everything is smudged. The labels showing the species names are worn, and you can't see what's written on most of them in the shell section. Much of the museum was closed to visitors. The lighting was dark, and the interior was full of sand. I don't know how bureaucratic it is to open the glass display cases and make new labels, if it's simple or requires some kind of authorization, but wow, a place like this deserves more care. It has so much treasure stored away, and it's left to the moths. Very sad. (Original) Muito interessante, contém muitas espécies de animais marinhos, adorei ver tudo. Porém está muito mal cuidado. Boa parte do museu estava fechada para visitação. I didn't see any mosquitoes or gnats... The best time is 11am to 2pm. There is parking ($30) on the street at the start of the trail. Canto do Moreira Maresias is a hidden gem at the end of Maresias beach, where nature thrives in its most pristine form. This secluded spot boasts vibrant marine life, making it an ideal location for snorkeling and turtle watching. While the waves can be strong, there's a tranquil sandy cove shielded by rocks—perfect for those who prefer to unwind in a natural pool while enjoying the surfers' skills nearby.
The climate changes is in everywhere, where is the sand, the beach, it's just the sea down there...

(Translated by Google) The place is excellent, very beautiful, with clean and transparent waters. You literally swim with the fish. To get there, you need to walk a lot, so be prepared and don't be lazy. There is no infrastructure whatsoever, so take your own water, beer, whatever you need. If you are going to spend a few hours there, take a snack. (Translated by Google) The nature here is beautiful, the sea is choppy for children, and the water temperature is cold, but you get used to it quickly on sunny days, so you can enjoy it a lot. I'm visiting off-season, on a weekday, and the temperature is 21°C, but it's still a very good beach. (Translated by Google) The beach is beautiful, like most beaches in the region. However, food and drink prices are quite high. If you're traveling with children, choose other beaches. I didn't know before going that Maresias is a steep beach. Santiago Beach, a little further north, is a better option: less crowded and calmer waters. Baleia Beach, a little further south, is also a good option for those traveling with children. Nestled in the enchanting Sertão do Cacau, Cachoeira Sertão do Cacau is a stunning waterfall that cascades approximately 12 meters into a serene natural pool, perfect for a refreshing dip. Surrounded by the lush greenery of the Atlantic Forest, this hidden gem offers an invigorating escape from the heat.
About a twenty minute walk from the end of the road. Beautiful jungle-like vegetation. The path is generally well maintained with wooden tiles, and handrails where needed. Walk as far as the handrails go (which is up steps at the end). Swimmable.

(Translated by Google) A very easy trail to follow. As suggested, there is a stream with a pedestrian bridge. I suggest parking before the bridge. From there to the start of the trail it is about an 8-minute walk. There are 2 paid parking lots after the river, but I didn't see the price. There are 4 waterfalls. 2 larger and 2 smaller. The first is the most comfortable for sitting on the rocks and feeling the river water hitting your body. The second, very small, is the only one on the left side of the trail. The last two have a larger pool and a steeper waterfall, with deep water, which prevents you from standing under the waterfall. The entire trail takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk and is well signposted. There are several plateaus and wooden supports on the ground for some muddy parts, including handrails. Very easy to do without a guide or prior knowledge of the place.

However, there is a structure, wooden handrails and some decks that make the walk easier. (Translated by Google) A very pleasant waterfall! You can drive to the point just before the little river, right where a sign tells you to park your cars. There's no parking, so cars park on the street. Arrive early to find a place to park. The hike to the last waterfall is a total of 35 minutes, a quiet, easy trail. You can do it in flip-flops, but sneakers are even better. There are three waterfalls, the first two are very small, forming a shallow, natural pool. The last one has a slightly larger waterfall (not huge), but it's very pleasant! It also has a natural pool where you can swim peacefully! I recommend it! Recomendo!

You don't need a guide and you can do it in flip-flops and with children. I went on Good Friday and it was practically the only one there. On the way, you can bathe in several pools, but the best ones are the last two.
