Everything at our stay here was great, they took care of everything, food was great, the room is world class and the toilet has washlet bidet from Toto which is an enormous plus. I would like to remark the excelent service of Mr. Goto, he was super kind and helpful. Thanks to his recommendations We could make the most out of out stay in Qingdao.

A decent hotel with a very good location, although the feeling is not particularly luxe, it still ticks all the boxes. The rooms are large and comfortable, although my room didn't feel very private as it was in direct line of sight of the tennis courts. Also, as a Jade member I didn't really receive a meaningful upgrade. I did like the large desk in the room, good for business travellers. The rooms are very classically appointed, although carpets were quite stained in places and overall cleanliness was alright, but not perfect. Service is fine but some staff seemed quite stressed and made some small mistakes, overall the vibe didn't feel very 5 star, but also no major issues. Location is a highlight, close to May 4th train station and very close to the mixC mall. Breakfast is pretty decent, with a very large spread, although the taste is fairly average.

Rather dated hotel, I fear, at least the valley wing were I have stayed. Definitely this part of the hotel is due for a renovation. Lounge most definitely not worth it for a western taste. Personnel had a certain attitude, which was incompatible with my expectations - with the exception of one lounge employe how spoke great English and was very helpful and forthcoming. I really did not feel at home in this hotel. At all. I cut my stay short and moved to the Westin Hotel next door. Maybe I just wasn't the kind of customer the were targeting.

I strongly inisist that, if you want to get satisfactory staying experiences in Qingdao, you have to stop searching about this accommodation. Hotel staff never respect you (Only a couple of staff are very kind), and they even refuse to give you neccessary informaion. Room temperature is extremely low, which made me get a cold. In sum, this hotel changed whole my impression of Qingdao. I will never come back.

I stayed at Shangri-La Qingdao recently and had a very pleasant experience overall. I especially appreciated the help of a female staff member working at the swimming pool changing room. I had mistakenly left my swimsuit wrapped in a towel and placed it in the towel collection bin, but she kindly searched through the bin and found it for me. She, although I regret not asking her name, her kindness truly left a strong impression on me. Thanks to her, my image of Shangri-La has become even more positive. At the same time, I would also like to share a few areas for improvement. At the Café Yum, communication was sometimes difficult since many staff members were not able to speak English, which made it challenging to ask simple questions. In addition, the in-room Wi-Fi was not always stable and the speed was rather slow, which caused some inconvenience. Overall, I deeply appreciate the warm hospitality of the staff and the memorable service I experienced, and I look forward to visiting Shangri-La Qingdao again in the future.

Despite the higher-than-average prices at this hotel, I anticipated a corresponding level of service and accommodation. Regrettably, my experience at the registration counter was quite disappointing. As an international guest, English is essential for effective communication, particularly for special requests. Unfortunately, with the exception of one competent manager, almost none of the staff spoke English, which led to significant inconvenience and frustration. On a brighter note, the rooms were exceptionally quiet, clean, and comfortable, with a pleasing aesthetic and a great view.

Spacious room with floor to ceiling windows has a great ocean view, cozy and quiet. A direct access to the beach through Lower Lobby floor. Variety food choices at both breakfast buffet and regency club’s happy hour. But during my stay, they didn’t refill new foods around 9:30AM, that’s a downside. All the staffs I met were kind and helpful. Nice service.

I enjoyed my stay clean and big room. Loved the corner room . And the floor to ceiling windows are amazing to look over the beach. Nice gym. Huge and grand looking lobby. The only thing I would complain about is that the hotel messaged me to say that the mini bar is free but there was nothing in the mini bar.

Really enjoy my stay here. Easy access to the beach at the back of the hotel. Too bad the front desk I met can’t speak English. But i would say most of the staff quite fluent in speaking English. They were mostly helpful. Room were clean and spacious. Like their toilet. Big with bathtub and magic glass to blurred the window while the toilet occupied. Complete amenities, although I would love more if they provide bath salt. I also very enjoy their generous complimentary water. First day I had 4 bottles. Next day until check out total 3 nights, they gave 6 bottles every day. Staffs were helpful in ordering taxi and preparing breakfast when we checked out 3am in the morning. Breakfast was quite good. Although I would say not the best. Dining area has outdoor where you can have a beach view. Shopping mal near hotel. Roughly 1-2km you can find nearest shopping mall.

Fantastic hotel and the location is beautiful. The service and ability to help in English is top notch. This is my favorite hotel to stay in China when I travel for business. Would love to stay here for a vacation.

Rooms were ok - sizeable but our bathroom shower was poorly maintained with a lot of mold resulting in a stuffy smell in the room if AC isn’t running. Location was convenient with same block access to subway and underground path to Mixc shopping mall and wu si guang chang subway station. Takes about 1.2 hours on subway to get to airport. Paid $120/night in October and good for the price.

There are too many issues with this hotel to address, so I will do my best to keep it short. Definitely the worst Westin property I have ever stayed in, out of 5+ ones in the past. I stayed at room 1907, Jr. suite over the past 3 nights. We arrived to the hotel at 3:20pm to check-in, and the guy behind the reception desk (Abel Hou) told us the room wasn't ready yet. Aside from the lack of any mannerism (not even a "hello" or "你好"), he had no solution for us either, hoping we could read his mind that we could wait longer. Female supervisor came over to address the problem, and says there is another room ready of the same tier and floor, just that it hasn't been signed off and inspected by a manager yet after housekeeping. I said no problem, if there are any issues I will let them know later. And my god were there many issues. Which was expected, but reason why I'm writing this review is because every issue during our 3 night stay at this hotel requires asking and informing them 2-4 times in order for them to address or solve the issue. And everything was done half-assed. - Conditioner bottle was completely empty, had to ask 2 times on the phone - The carpet wasn't vacuumed properly, had many food crumbs and sand. After the 1st time I asked them to vacuum, the floor was still dirty, and had to ask again for the corners to be vacuumed. - The bathroom stall had construction metal shavings all over the bottom of the door. I asked for it to be cleaned. Again, there was an attempt, but still not cleaned properly. - Bathroom shower water wasn't warm enough, max was 25-28C. I asked the first day to send a repairman upstairs to fix it, or have a room change. No follow-up, returned to room at night, water still not warm. I asked again the next day, they said they will send someone up again-- and then hours later, no results. Finally, I asked for the 3rd time to either fix it or change rooms, they finally found a repairman that can fix it, and the water was at normal shower temperature and can reach 45C+. However, on the 3rd day, the water wasn't warm enough again. - Had to ask for additional box of tissues 3 times to get extra tissues. On top of these issues, this Westin hotel does not have a concierge counter/service! There's the universal concierge symbol on the desk on ground floor, but they're just bagmen's. We asked 3 different staffs behind the concierge desk, our touristy Qingdao questions were often met with "search on Baidu yourself on phone", or "not sure", or "I think so". We didn't even ask them to book tours or reservations for us, we just asked for basic info like how to get to certain tourist sites. [And if you ask the reception desks on 5th floor, they will refer you back down to G floor concierge desk]. Room service food was atrocious, but can't complain too much due to the below average hotel room service pricing. Ordered the beef noodle soup to be safe, but the broth turns out to be completely watered down, noodles super overcooked, minimal amount of dried out beef pieces, and more noodles than soup. Cup noodle would've been a better option. Finally, almost all the employees just seem miserable working here. On the day of our check out, we handed our keys back and told the staff our room number. The total bill was printed out and loosely shoved in an envelope without any explanation. No eye contact, no "did you enjoy your stay with us", or "hope you had a great stay", and not even a goodbye.

Being a frequent traveler, I must give a 5-star to this beautiful hotel for its overall exceptional quality and facility. Front desk staff were very courteous and respectful. Upon request, they upgraded us to a suite for our membership status. The cleaning lady was super attentive and took care of all our needs during the entire stay. The location is excellent which is close to many famous places and subway stations. Love the hotel and will definitely stay here again.

This is the worst five-star hotel I have ever stayed in — the Westin by Marriott. The overall experience felt more like a basic three-star hotel. All the facilities and equipment were outdated, and the service was far below five-star standards. I was extremely disappointed. I will never stay at any Westin hotel again.

Excellent location with metro just at the entrance. One of the largest shopping mall in town is just 5 minutes walk. The service is excellent and staff are very responsive with good attitude. The breakfast has good choice of food. The hotel is in general well maintained but there are some details that need to be improved, such as the windows are not clean, the bath tub has rusted edge and unclean pot for boiling water, etc. Don't order the fried beef rice noodle, it has only 3 small pieces of beef which is far below normal standards of 8 pieces or 150gm of beef.

The hotel is in front of the no.1 bathing beach..the hotel is nice with large room..the restaurant serves nice food and we can enjoy qingdao beer which taste very good in their cafe at night.. I went there in march where the weather is still cold so i cant enjoy the beach..but the scenery is beautiful especially when i came to their restaurant for breakfast..we can see the qingdao in 360 view from their restaurant..i will come back someday

Inside the room, numerous switches control various lights, yet the inconvenience arises from having to access the toilet to toggle them, with the switches somewhat obscured within the toilet area. Additionally, the washing sink area lacks sufficient space to accommodate toiletry bags comfortably. The breakfast spread offers an impressive array of Asian and Western cuisines. However, despite being a titanium member, the absence of an executive lounge is notable. Situated in a rather remote location with little in the vicinity, the hotel nevertheless maintains its upkeep well, ensuring a pleasant overall stay.

This hotel is beautiful. It was a great place to stay on Qingdao. They were very helpful. My suitcase had broken on the flight and they sent their maintenance man right up to my room to see if he could fix it. Most hotels in China smell like cigarette smoke, however the Four Points did no. They kept it very clean and actually enforced their no smoking policies. The food was also very good. Although, I was expecting a slightly more international selection. It was definitely a more Asian selection, but it was still good.

Marriott Bonvoy's low-quality benefits.(Four Points by Sheraton Qingdao, Chengyang) There is no refrigerator in the room. I asked the hotel staff to bring me a refrigerator. The hotel staff brought the refrigerator. It was so dirty. I never come here again.

Hotel does not allow you to tune the air conditioning and provides warm air only. It is so warm to even sleep at 24 degrees Celsius let alone to use the duvet. Extremely disappointed that the airconditioning control is intentionally blocked for individual temperature comfort. I had to open the windows but the noise from the street made it hard for me to have complete rest. I am upset and never staying here again.

Very very bad experience. They turn off the centralized aircon at mid nightwithout any information to customers and there is no windows in my room. Called front desk for help and no one coming after 30mins. Lastly, send me a noisy and old stand fan. I totally not recommended this hotel. Update: The hotel moved me to another room and everything is fine.

This is an amazingly nice hotel. Don’t let google’s address fool you, it’s halfway between the airport and the coast. The restaurants are delicious and the entire space is so well designed, it will become my standard for hotels. The rooms have spacious soaking tubs, waterfall shower heads and warm lighting. The views of Laoshan mountains are breathtaking. It’s easy to feel like you’re in paradise. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and their English is excellent. And out of nowhere there is the most amazing garden and pond area that transcends you from QingDao into a fairytale landscape. I will definitely be returning.

The towels are always, always, gray color. I honestly don't know what do they do with those towels so they can look this dirty even when they are clean. Great location near the airport in Chengyang with lots of walkable restaurants and a beautiful park nearby. The staff are very helpful and the maintenance of the building is excellent. The wifi works well and the breakfast is amazing.

Large, old fashioned hotel. It was extremely crowded when I was there. It was in a weekend so a lot of tourists. I stayed here for business. The room was old and worn out and the elevators are not sufficient for the number of people. During breakfast much more people than tables. We were lucky but many people were walking around with their plate to find a place to sit. Maybe for tourists a good hotel but for business not the best place to stay

I’m giving this hotel a 2 star because at least the breakfast was good. The rooms are terrible, with a strong smoke smell inside. I had booked 2 rooms and when I passed by other rooms had the same smell! The rooms are creaky, old and this hotel is rather unpleasant. The breakfast is excellent, and I would rate it 5/5. The rest is terrible.

Came here while visiting Qingdao for a few days and I really enjoyed my experience. The hotel is very beautiful and has many different restaurants within so that you don’t have to travel too far to get a meal. The breakfast buffet was also very good with a ton of selection to choose from. Overall I really liked this hotel and would definitely book again if I am ever back in Qingdao.

This was my first time staying at this hotel, but it was really nice. The staff were very welcoming and kindly upgraded me to a suite, which made the stay even better. The rooms were spacious, clean, updated, and modern. The bed was wonderful, so I had a great sleep. The Club Lounge was also nice with very courteous staff and a nice selection of foods and drinks. Unfortunately, there was no hard alcohol (like whisky), so just enjoyed Tsingtao beer. The gym was very spacious with a great selection of equipment, so it was a great way to start the day. I did not explore much around the area (as I was there on business), but there seemed to be quite a few restaurants and shops within walking distance. I did find a couple of nice local bars to have some affordable beer within a 15-minute walk of the hotel on my final night, however (Charlie's Bar and LPG Laofei Bar, both of which are across the street from each other).

Well it’s Crowne Plaza, Over the top standard and services. The concierge was really helpful, They have a really large restaurant, the buffet breakfast as superb with plenty of options from cut fruits to pastries. Loved the variety of bread spreads they have. Doppio was average.

I stayed in this hotel with some colleagues during a work trip for two nights (26th and 27th May 2015). Check in took approximately 30 minutes due to a queue of 6 or so customers. Several of us ordered room service; all of the food that arrived at our rooms was of terrible quality and barely warm. My burger was of a quality that didn't even match fast food, with portions that were smaller, soggy chips and at a price of $18.22. The rooms are very 'tired', small and smell of dampness and are in desperate need of refurbishment. The WiFi was unusable early in the evening when many people were trying to access it. Upon invitation I completed an on-line feedback form (with positive and negative feedback) for IHG which was rejected as being of unsuitable content - perhaps due to the fact that I included photos of my room service burger, which the hotel chain did not want to be seen by potential customers. Judge for yourselves; I've uploaded them with this review. A positive note is that check out was immediate. I am genuinely curious to see what the company's response will be to a review on a third party forum. Their reaction to one on their own website was not to publish it!

I stayed here with my family for almost two weeks, and we had a very comfortable stay. The staff were friendly, the breakfast buffet had some great food choices and amazing coffee and deserts, the hotel amenities were very convenient. The hotel is very family-friendly, and we loved that the location was very convenient with walking distance shopping malls, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The only thing we had a problem with was cleanliness, the cleaning service could be better especially with their prices. Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay at the Meridien Qingdao if we come back.

NO A/C! None of the rooms have proper working A/C. Made them switch my rooms 3 times. Rooms won’t get colder than 75°F (23°) and was actually closer to 77°f all night. When I was Complaining they were trying to gas light me into thinking that I like my cold frigidly cold. If you type “what is room temperature”into google it says 69-70°. They also explained that they turn down the A/C during summer to save money, as a “5 star hotel” I believe that’s unacceptable. If you like sleeping in the gym steam room then this is the hotel for you.

Location is good but the fitting out is quite at a depreciated state. The most unpleasant thing is the pattern of the bed panel which comprises of a lot of bagua (八卦) signs.

Checked in late, room smelled like cigs, found cigarette butts under the bed made them change rooms. Other room had dead cockroaches under the bed. Immediately checked out early and went to a different hotel. Spent maybe a few hours there and they told me to kick rocks when asked for a refund. This is NOT a 5 star hotel, this is a motel 6 dressed up as something fancy

Very lackluster experience, most of the employees treated me and my husband with terrible disrespect. I could hear them making jokes about us in most of the rooms we spent time in on the property. We are a gay couple and it was undoubtedly some pretty severe homophobia.

One of the worst five star hotel I ever stayed. They won’t allow delivery driver enter the hotel so you have to walk in cold go outside to get it. Also, the dinner buffet is way overpriced, for that much money you only get little food. The hotel room has weird floor plan. Not recommended I wish Qingdao have better high end hotels than this one

Stayed here for 2 nights. Extraordinary service, ambiance and amenities. Super luxury hotel. The location is fantastic with walking distance to the beach in front of the hotel and plenty of food options including fresh sea food. The day I checked in I arrived earlier and it hey took time to make the room ready. I went to the steak restaurant and asked for a cheese burger - although it wasn’t on the menu, chef prepared a special one for me (pic), it and fries were delicious . They also offered complimentary tea and pastries. The views (pic) from room were breathtaking and the gym plus the pool was amazing. Overall a true 5 star experience in a nice city like Qingdao.

I rarely give a 5 star rating - but I think this hostel deserves it. We had a comfortable 5-night stay in this hostel. We stayed in the guest room (double bed), and the room was very clean. Although the toilet was a bit small, the room and toilet was overall well-maintained. On our 1st day, one of the lights were not working, so the room was a bit dark - but the staff immediately fixed it the next day. Service was amazing and the staff would warmly explain the different attractions, and how to walk there. Location: within walking distance to St Michael's Cathedral and Zhanqiao Pier. Also walkable to University Street and other attractions. It's within a 5min walk to the nearest subway station as well. The only thing is the hotel is located on a hill, although not super steep, so doable with luggages. Breakfast is at the L1 cafe, and the food was the best part of our stay, especially the egg's benedict. You get to choose between Western-style 6-8 sets (with a side of salad & orange juice), and we tried one every day - we never got tired or disappointed with the food. Amenities: there's a laundry room, a meeting room, and even a air conditioned room to chill around with books or games, with a nice balcony overseeing the city and the cathedral views (would be nice to sit here with a beer in the evening). The only minor downside: since this hostel is renovated from an old historic building, there are no lifts. Our room was on the highest 3rd floor, and you may need to carry your baggage up (the staff kindly offered to bring it up for us the first day). If you are wheelchair bound or limited in terms of mobility, might not be a good idea to stay here. Overall really enjoyed my stay here!

My regret is that I cannot give it 6 starts?! Ihink for around 40SGD per night , it is clean and nicely decorated. The reading room is classy and the staff friendly! Comes with water cooler . Haven't found recycling bins yet though

The ambiance was topped with the smell of our All-day-breakfast order of hashbrowns, German sausage, toast and fruit juice. I highly recommend this place as a restaurant, café and bar. Excellent location in Tsingtao, literally right beside the Carrefour which has a huge amount of shopping and is convenient as beside it, across the street there's 3 other malls, Inzone, M(all) and one other mall I didn't visit. Along the street down there's an Aeon which has even more shopping and a wide variety of goods and food. Hotel itself has great staff and extremely helpful; I had a heating issue with the central heater during winter causing my room to be way too hot and uncomfortable. Made a call to front desk and they immediately sent someone up to open the locked Windows and resolve the problem for us. Also they gave us a fruitbowl just got it, so service is impeccable.

Laoshan was both a great place and disappointment at the same time. The view was amazing but the path was only staircases up and down, very boring and nothing close to hiking. We followed the path all around the mountain, but the best view was from the top at the first gate.

We went as far as we could go, running into a small monastey with local monks (also a nice photo spot). We took a different road back and walked nearly 3 hours across the water, eventually passing one of the bigger waterfalls in the area and when it became dark fireflies came out. We did not encounter any dogs or monkeys, as the sign suggests. Only a couple friendly cats. Highly recommend to visit for a full day trip. Make sure you bring mosqito repellant and plenty of water.

A mountain with an awesome view on top, cable car is recommended to go on top as the hike up the mountain isn't very eventful. The cable car did have very nice views. After getting off the cable car, you have to hike up to 30 min. to experience the best view but it's definitely worth the tiring hike. Beautiful place indeed.
