It was a fun experience. There are so many butterflies in their cool little greenhouse. It is smaller than expected but full of life. And many of the butterflies even landed on us as we walked around. The vegetation is beautiful as well. We did manage to see some unique ones (the bug shiny blue ones) outside but they were to quick to snap a picture of them!! Price is reasonable for what they have. I would recommend it.

The Australian Butterfly Sanctuary in Kuranda, Queensland, is a pretty good attraction for butterfly enthusiasts and families. My kids particularly enjoyed the fairy garden, a dedicated space with smaller butterfly breeds that felt tailored to younger visitors. It was a charming touch that kept them engaged. However, I have some reservations about the value for money. For my family of three kids and a grandparent, the entry fee was $80. While the sanctuary is well-maintained, the experience is entirely self-guided, relying on walk-through paths and reading informational signs. There’s no guided tour or real interactive component to deepen the experience, which left me feeling that $80 was a bit steep for what we got. Your family might find it worthwhile, especially if you’re passionate about butterflies, but it’s worth keeping the cost and self-guided nature in mind. Overall, the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary is a lovely spot to appreciate these incredible creatures, but the price tag may not match the experience for everyone.

It is very impressive to see so many butterflies at the same time and so closely. However we thought we’d see more species and also the price was too high for what we saw. It was definitely an interesting experience, but would not go again.

The sanctuary was smaller than we expected but was a great way to fill in half an hour. The butterflies were everywhere and we really enjoyed looking at their beautiful colours. The price was slightly high for the size of the sanctuary and amount of time spent, but we did enjoy the experience overall.

Nice enough place to visit while on holiday - highly priced as a family entry though. Short time spent at the sanctuary, enough time to walk around and see most butterflies. If travelling on a budget, would suggest finding a different day trip activity

Always a pleasant experience encountering butterflies. Small little habitat but lots of beautiful butterflies everywhere. Family friendly, toilets available and informative centre. Definitely recommend if you are a sucker for butterflies like myself.

We really enjoyed our visit to the sanctuary, so many beautiful butterflies and a lovely gift shop but we thought $25 per adult was a little expensive for the experience however it didn't stop us and we do still highly recommend everyone visits 😊

Visited May 2025 If you are a senior show your card for a discount on entry. A handout is given which is used to identify the exotic and native birds in the aviary. You are advised to use the tape supplied to cover your earrings as the birds are quick and will remove them from your ears. There was a jar full of single earrings the birds had extracted. And YES the birds do bite! So, if you don't want to be bitten it's as easy as not putting your hand out! I thought this was terrific. So many colourful birds in a huge netted aviaries free to fly. The only birds in an aviary are the tiny finches. The blue macaws are quite happy to sit on your shoulder while you roam around, so do many of the other birds. Staff wander around and are happy to answer questions. The curlews were hand bred and just lie around on the walking paths not taking any notice of the humans. There is a mandarin duck in the enclosure which is so beautiful as well as many other species. You can also see a cassowary up close. I loved this aviary being able to see the birds without any obstructions.

If you like birds, you'll like Birdworld Kuranda. Yes, some of the parrots do talk, some even sing "Old McDonald had a farm"! They'll also happily land on your arm, shoulder or head if you have seeds to offer

My partner and I absolutely loved Birdworld! So many beautiful birds especially the macaws 😍 Majority of the birds are friendly and tame however do watch out for the little red birds as they like to bite 😆 A big thanks to the gentleman who let us in half an hour before closing time, you made our day!

The birds are great. There isn’t much in terms of educational quality to this place though. They give you a printout with some pictures of birds but then you’re in your own. They have food you can feed the birds but there wasn’t instruction for how to do it so I felt like I was always about to be bitten. I would recommend going but if you only have time for a few of the karunda animal attractions this would be the one I suggest skipping.

The cassowary is sad. I felt so sorry to see him in such a small space, even more so seeing such a lush and beautiful forest around him. I deeply regret paying for this. While it's true that the birds are untethered and can fly within the designated space, this is still a large cage. I promise never to set foot in a place like this again.

What a fun experience especially for the kids! The birds are friendly and you can feed them with bird food available to purchase at the entrance. Just be mindful of jewelry and buttons as some birds love them and might snatch them from you. There is a water feature where some birds, ducks and turtles hang out. Overall, its a lovely experience for the whole family.

Lots of animals here with a chance to feed kangaroos and wallabies (they prefer to keep to themselves though). My favourite part was the section with the nocturnal animals, especially trying to spot them in the darkened enclosures! I love the owl! 🦉 Students also get a 10% discount

A great animal park! It may be small, but there is a lot of see, and the opportunity to have a photo taken with a koala can’t be beat. The exhibits were all nice and provided a nice place for the animals. The kangaroo feeding area was a lot of fun as well. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and willing to take the time to answer questions.

Cool experience to see koalas up close. Definitely buy a ticket in advance as they can sell out easily for the photo session. Relatively small place though and nothing much else to it other than some other species there. Luckily, Kuranda is a nice community with many other things to see and do. I wouldn't go out of my way to come to the Koala Gardens otherwise.

To be so close to the animals, a great experience! The koalas were cute as 🥰 We got to hand feed kangaroo's! Saw crocodiles for the first time!! There was a cheeky little water dragon cruising around 😆 But it was a little sad to see the animals in small enclosures 🥺

Good way to see some animals up close and personal. It's a small place so allocate 30 mins to explore unless you pay extra for photos with the koalas, then allocate an hour to wait in line.

This is one of 3 nearby attractions at Karunda, one focused on birds, another on butterflies, and this one on animals, especially koalas. You can get tickets for individual attractions or buy a ticket for all three. If you have to pick just one, I think this is the best, followed by the birds.

This was a super cool addition. The photo with the Koala was good, but felt a little staged. To be honest the highlight was with the Kangaroo. Feeding and petting those little guys was an absolute highlight.

We went as part of a tour group. It was an overall great experience. Lunch was good and staff were friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was the Koala photo experience was too short and transactional. We paid $41 for a single photo and the entire experience with the koala lasted no more than 10 seconds, just enough for the staff to snap a picture. It may be better if the group can have a closer look at the koala with some commentary? The experience felt too impersonal and only focused on the picture alone. Other than that, it was great. The Army Duck tour guide was educational and funny. We enjoyed it.

All the three experiences were great. Aboriginal dance, boomerang and their history was the best. It was great to experience the army duck. Animals were great for my kids. You can easily spend a good 4 hours. This place had buffet food which was value for money. The whole place is accessible and with public toilets.

Amazing nature conserve and education centre, we visited as part of a tour and after 5 hours wished we had more time still. Great aboriginal demonstrations and very accessible viewing of the animals of Australia. We had an awesome guide for the DUKW tour who gave us loads of information on many indigenous plants on the tour. After all that we wandered around to read the information signs for the many trees and plants they have there. We really enjoyed our visit there.

Food at the buffet was delicious with many good options. We really enjoyed seeing koalas, crocodiles and kangaroos and could tell that they were well cared for. Every staff member we encountered at the park was polite and helpful. The Aboriginal dance performance was wonderful and the performers were very friendly. They even taught us how to throw a boomerang, which was a memorable experience. The army duck tour was both fun and informative. We learned about the different plants in the rainforest. Our driver, Rhys (if I remember his name correctly), was fantastic! His sense of humor and commentary made the drive engaging. He shared many interesting facts, which made our experience even better. We will be coming back!

We visited recently as a family of 3 (2 adults and a 3 year old). The Army Duck tour through the rainforest was a highlight of our trip to QLD. Jared our tour guide was extremely informative, and my husband and I walked away with so much knowledge on the local plants and wildlife! I wish the trip was longer as we enjoyed it so much. We look forward to coming back the next time we travel up to QLD.

Our family had a fantastic time at the Rainforestation Nature Park the staff were friendly, informative, and joked with our two boys. Very good family environment! We would highly recommend.

Great train ride, good views and at the scenic locations the train even slows down to enjoy the views! The combination of train ride and the gondola is not cheap, but its an unique experience with a rich history.

We took the railway up and the cable car down. It was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed the commentary about the railway and the views. It was well organised and there were clean restrooms and a cafe at the station while you wait for the train. Everything ran efficiently and was well organised. We highly recommend this experience A+++

We took the railway up, and the skyrail down (2 ad + 2 tweens). It was a stunning trip up to Kuranda. The landscape is beautiful. The handouts are great, and it was really nice to follow along with the map, corresponding to the audio voice over at points of interest. There was a brief stop at Barron Falls to allow a better view of the waterfall. A truly lovely experience.

A wonderful trip to Kuranda. We were fortunate to get Gold pass at the last moment. It was very relaxing with drink and morning/afternoon tea service. Very comfy lounge seating. Would recommend 👌

Lovely train ride from Cairns to Kuranda with stunning views. So much history & very informative. Journey takes 2hrs one way. I paid $85 for a return ticket. I had to reschedule my booking multiple times, which wasn't an issue. Definitely recommend booking in advance.

A truly spectacular and scenic journey! The Kuranda Scenic Railway is a must-do for anyone visiting Cairns. The old-school train carriages are charming, and the ride through the rainforest is breathtaking. The views of Barron Falls are incredible, and it's amazing to see the engineering of the track. A perfect way to experience the beauty of the Wet Tropics.

A lovely experience. If you want to do the sky rail as well then your best option is to take the sky rail up to Kurando and book both through the sky rail site and add a bus transfer to the lower sky rail station. Then you can stay on the scenic railway all the way back to Cairns station. The trip itself was 100% scenic with some amazing corners in the tracks and views of several waterfalls. The trip back to Cairns takes about 1.5 hours. Cheers and enjoy

Meandering through the old markets is wonderful for the soul. There's little twists and turns with something to look at with each one. Absolutely love going there and the food stalls have some of the tastiest, most interesting meals. Definitely well worth a visit for both tourists and locals alike

We didn’t have much time to fully experience the market. It was pretty quiet when we visited. Most shops were closed. It seems like a good place to check out local arts and crafts. We stopped by for a quick snack break at the Pho place and got a honeycomb from another shop. We also got to check out the leather goods and opals. People seem friendly and not trying to push sales on us.

A lot of the shops are empty, closed or in need of repairs but it's a very unique vibe with some unique selection. You must try these jam donuts, they were amazing.

Beautiful markets set in a lush rainforest. Great food, talented artists and relaxing vibe. Best part of Kuranda by far!

Love, love, love this place. The whole town is peaceful, low-key, has a hippie vibe, great juice, lovely little cafes, like a world of it’s own. The shop keepers all seem friendly & welcoming, i visit every year in September & love every minute. Either markets are good, and i recommend going mid-morning :)

Check out the original watercolour gallery next to the gem store. In a world where AI art seems to be everywhere it was so nice to buy some original artworks and meet the artist. Some great places to have lunch amongst the shady rainforest trees. Highly recommended if visiting Kuranda 👌

We had a lovely tour out on the river! It was a gorgeous day and we spotted one crocodile and saw tons of different birds. We had a great guide and the tour left and returned promptly!

We arrived in Karunda, the town wasn’t quite what we hoped, a bit touristy, and lots of mass produced gifts in the market. We decided to try out the river boat and were pleasantly surprised, our guide was informative, fun & friendly, he pointed out lots of interesting things about the rainforest, told us about the local history, and introduced us to lots of wildlife in the river and on the boat, and we saw a freshwater crocodile. I highly recommend, children and adults alike I’m certain will enjoy the river boat cruise @ Karunda

A cozy, short trip on the Barron River at a reasonable price. The guide feeds the fish and turtles, so there’s a good chance of seeing them. We were lucky to also spot a couple of small freshwater crocodiles – it’s wonderful to see them in the wild rather than in cages at wildlife parks. The guide was friendly and informative.

We had a great time doing the river tour. Lot's of good information and loads to see. Well worth it.

This was not our original Kuranda plan, we adjusted plans after a hiking injury to be less walking. This still has a bit of a walk down the stairs to the river but was the perfect way to see wildlife in Kuranda. We saw a lot of birds, and our skipper knew a lot about them and did a great job describing them to us. We saw turtles, fish, and freshwater crocodiles! It was a lot of fun and a good length. We had 2 kids with us who also enjoyed it. We got close enough to the animals to get good pictures too but still not disturb them.

Amazing experience. Very knowledgeable guide/driver. Such a relaxed vibe about it all. Of course phenomenal scenery/jungle and some sneaky crocs to top it all off.

Walked around Mossman Gorge. The rainforest circuit track took about an hour. It is not wheelchair or pram friendly or for people that cannot walk up hill over rocks and on uneven surfaces. However, there is a shorter walk with a path and suspension bridge that is easier for all.

A nice little walk through the bush with little peeks of the falls motivating you to keep moving. Absolutely breathtaking views, and nice and cool even as we're heading towards summer.

Visit Karanda via Skyway or historic train and return vice versa to get the best views! 100% recommend the day trip.

Absolutely stunning place. Would recommend for anyone and everyone to visit in their lifetime. It’s a great walk but is also accessible to everyone regardless of physical ability.

Two views, one unforgettable waterfall! We saw Barron Falls twice — first from the Kuranda Scenic Railway, then later from the Skyrail Cableway — and both were absolutely stunning in their own way. From the train, you get a dramatic, close-up view of the falls thundering through the gorge. On the way down with the Skyrail, the panorama opens up, and you see the full scale of the landscape from above. Two totally different experiences — both breathtaking! Don’t miss the boardwalk lookout stops. This waterfall is a true highlight.

The waterfall is beautiful. The walk to the viewpoint is easy and takes about 10 to 15 minutes. If you have a drone, you can take great pictures, as drones weighing less than 250 grams are permitted in that area.

Breathtaking, well worth a visit even on a cloudy day in June when the waterfall is not as full as at other times of the year. Great tracks to walk down and take photos.

The heritage- (now hippie-) market stalls/shops/local people were all great. Very genuine. Even met a lady with her 'pet snake' wrapping around her/us 😳 Pleasantly surprised to see quite a large Japanese influence. The only negatives were the high cost of foods and endless labyrinth of stairs (no ramp options)

Nothing mind blowing but had a generally positive experience here. Generally the stallholders were friendly and engaged well, which is why I offer 2 stars. One stallholder however, selling stuffed toys and "handmade" hats etc had a real problem with my 2 year old going near her stuffed toys. As in, he picked one up with delight, and she told us to "look with our eyes". I left with him, but when my wife went in later with him, the lady started again, telling my wife that our 2 year old was undisciplined and would be trouble later in life. My wife queried if she was OK, and she said she was sick of kids touching her stuff. In a shop selling toys. My wife asked if she bought something would it be OK to touch it then. The lady said "only you, not him". My wife told her to go to hell and left. Looking over later, the lady was obviously talking about us, and smiling with her friends, which really upset my wife. When I challenged the lady, she fired up and tried to deny everything and then started screaming for security. Admittedly I then gave her both barrels but felt it was warranted as she had been extremely rude to my wife and son. Other stallholders came to see what was going on, but none stepped in, making me think this isnt the first time. The restaurant owner even came over and apologised for her behaviour. I would avoid the markets until shes gone.

Wander around the fantastic markets in the heart of Kuranda many local and interesting shops the prices are very reasonable and the people are very friendly get a snack I have lunch have a lovely drink buy some clothing it’s a great experience.

I had a couple of hours spare so I went for a drive feom Cairns. It is not far and I wasn't expecting much. But I have to admit it is a little breath taking. Photos do not do it any justice. I would l9ve to see this is the wet seasin

The park is lovely with a nice easy walk but the falls were a bit Barron! Not a lot of water seen but can imagine how impressive it would be after some heavy rain.

It's always great hiking in a national park but we found signature for the Barron Gorge lookout confusing, and weren't the only ones. We got there in the end, doing approx 4km which helped burn off breakfast.

Such a beautiful spot. The walk ways are very easy and well maintained. The views are incredible 😍

You need waaayyy more time in Kuranda but the travel to Kuranda in the gondola is next level. Would love to see the waterfall in the wet season

With features like Barron Falls, Stoney Creek and the Scenic Railway, this national park is a must-see location just outside of Cairns. There's beautiful views, nice creeks to cool off, and plenty of places to learn about the landscape too. It's definitely worth spending a day in the area to see everything it has to offer.

Red Peak Station Visited on 15/7/2022 Skyrail Rainforest Cableway Visited on 15/7/2022 The gondola starts its ascent from 5 m above sea level at Smithfield Terminal, gliding metres over the rainforest canopy to reach the highest point at Red Peak, which is 545 m above sea level. There are 32 towers, and the highest one T6 is located at Red Peak. It stands at 45 m high abive the base. At Red Peak Station, there is a interpretive display centre explaining "the jungle out there", and the 5-layer structure of the rainforest. One display shows a big galactic explosion 4.6 billion years ago resulting in the formation of the Earth. 3.5 years ago, life began on Earth. I am quite amazed by the scientists who could estimate the years to a precision of 1 decimal! It is a real experience to watch from the lookout, and I am glad to take a stroll along the boardwalk loop among the lush green ferns and the imposing rainforest giants. High up in the gondola, I can see the top 3 players of the rainforests, Emergents, The Canopy and The nderstoreys. The bottom 2 layers, the Forest Floors and the Subsoil, can only be seen and discovered on the ground.

An leasurly & enjoyable ride up and over the mountain to see great views of Cairns. At the peak is a short and healthy example of the rain forest. I only wish it had been a longer walk. The second cable shows a great view of the Barron Falls. We then took the Kuranda railway train back to Cairns. It was beautiful but very slow and had large sections with no views. So if you are strapped for time, or want to make the most of your time for the day I suggest you ride the Sky Rail back. It is cheaper and faster than the train.

Great location. Definitely worth getting off and exploring. If you can wait for a ranger guided tour it is well worth the wait. Our guide was a local from the area and had a wealth of knowledge. He was also very entertaining. The tour ran for about 20 minutes.

Had to get off the Skyrail Cableway here to change gondolas for the final leg down to Smithfield. Opportunity to take a break and look around. Nice but relatively short boardwalk with more great views of the rainforest. Staff friendly and helpful.

Caught the cable car down the mountain some very nice views with a couple of stops on the way down. Lookouts and boardwalks to explore. Great for the kids. You can see all the way to the coast. A little pricey but worth the experience.

I took a Diamond Gondola but not recommend as there is only one Gondola for Diamond, you will be waiting long time to take it. Nevertheless, normal Gondola is pretty good option to get to Kuranda. On the way, you will get 2 stations for rainforests which one has great waterfalls. It takes about 1.5 hr to get to Kuranda but still worth it.

Yeah not bad. Not a huge array of options, but they all look like they were made in store. We bought some grubs, snakes and watermelon gummies. Not a big hard candy fan, but some samples we had were ok. Would love this more as a kid I’m sure. Thanks for having us.

The Kuranda Candy Kitchen is a sweet little stop that’s definitely worth a visit. Watching the candy being made right in front of you is a great experience—fascinating to see the skill and precision involved. It’s not just for kids; adults will find it just as entertaining. Being able to buy the freshly made candy afterward makes the whole experience feel worthwhile. A fun and tasty part of a day in Kuranda!

My family and I love candy from this store and each time we go up the range we stop for some sugar fix. We love getting the 300g bags which the ladies always pack for us on the spot. Today we were very disappointed we went as we always do and asked for the same sizes but the lady in today at approx1300 refused to sell us that size, we wanted to buy several packets. She said that size is only available online (even though we’ve bought this size in store multiple times) she also said if she sold the 300g size to us it would mess things up- not sure what she meant. The customer care should be the same but today was definitely different we’ve always had great service in the past, which was a shame as this has put us off returning.

Bit expensive I got a sour gecko and some sherbet. The lollies in jars were a bit over priced but we got a hard lollies jar and they were so good! They have many flavours.

While the selection may be limited, the attention to detail and craftsmanship make up for it. The staff is friendly and passionate about their creations. If you appreciate handmade treats, this candy shop is worth a visit!

Stop in. Watching the hard work going in to making this candy. The lady gave a a piece, fresh and still warm. Sold. We purchased a few packages and absolutely awesome. Thank you. 🤩

My 3 girls had such an amazing time on their ‘Quest’ with faerie Jenny at The Magical Lane today and have spent the whole afternoon playing with their fairy gifts and communicating with the fairies. Stopped past on a day they were closed, however Fairy Jenny just magically walked past! Two very happy kiddies were able to peek into her shop and two beautiful little fairy’s have made their way back home with us to Sydney

How lucky are we to live in a town with a real live fairy in it? A gorgeous fairy with a huge heart who inspires our kids - and us - to look after the world and keep the magic alive. My daughter Mira lights up whenever we see her in the magical lane or anywhere in town and Fairy Jenny is super generous with hugs, stories and the kind of conversation that kids just love. We had the pleasure of going to a birthday party at her place last year and all the kids were spellbound for the entire time. They had special flower tea, were adorned with crowns and magic wands, and each child got to lead the group on a part of the quest. The quest takes them through mystical lands of a stream, a beach, a snowy slope and garden - all a genius creation in the back of her shop. The goal of the quest might be to find a baby unicorn and reunite it with its mother, and along the way they learn all about the importance of taking care of plants and animals, recycling and keeping our community and natural areas clean. She has a room out the back where the kids can then enjoy the birthday cake and other treats and they take a fairy home. The kids at the end of the party we attended were so bright eyed and mesmerised by the end of their quest with Fairy Jenny and I highly recommend it as a birthday treat for your little one. You can take your child for their own personal quest or one with a friend any day she’s open, and now she also offers her own unique Story Time on Fridays. I’ve seen kids up to the age of 15 totally immersed in her world, and I myself, never fail to be inspired and delighted at her magical lane as well.

I 100% recommend doing the skyrail. I did it there and back and WOW such amazing views. You get if at two stops between the start and finish and you get the most amazing views of the rainforest and the waterfall. I also fully recommend getting of at karunda and exploring the town, it was so beautiful.

Amazing experience gliding over World Heritage rainforest with stunning views of Barron Falls and the canopy. The mid-stations with boardwalks and ranger talks make it more than just a ride—it’s educational and memorable. Diamond View gondolas are worth it for the glass floor. It can get warm in the cabins and busy at peak times, but overall it’s a must-do when visiting Cairns.

We took the railway up & the skyrail down. Excellent experience - a definite highlight of the holiday. Staff were friendly and efficient. Spectacular views. Great gift shop. The stops were great to make it a full experience and provide great views of the falls. It works very well, being able to get on and off, with staff talking you through the process each time, and keeping it running smoothly.

Take the train up and Skyrail down. Book in advance. Hop off the Skyrail on the way back to see the waterfall from the other side ( better view). 8am to 1pm was more than enough to see everything. They will say you must be there 30 minutes before train’s departure, but look 10-15 is plenty.

Another great trip while in Cairns, scenic rail to the Karunda village,aboriginal experience,cruise down river on army ducks, then the amazing trip down on the skyrail. Highly recommend this day trip. It's a long day but we'll worth it.

An experience well worth the cost and time… Left from the base terminal at the earliest (8:30 am) time available…} Possibly the best time to go - to beat the crowds, especially during peak season (School Holidays in July)… Stopped at each location along the considerable ride and worth each one…. To smell and hear the rain-forest is worth it. The staff were so accommodating and attempted were possible to seat people for the best possible experience… Give yourself at least 1/2 a day to experience both the Skyrail and Kuranda.

Enjoyed it. Good views of the rainforest canopy and the Barron Gorge etc. Great view of Cairns northern beaches as you come over the escarpment.

Definitely was not worth the money. I saw a total of 5 snakes and two spiders and they all looked to have been not looked after properly. It looked like a run down shed that had a few random bits and pieces thrown in to make it look as though there was maximum effort put in. The reptiles were in the smallest enclosures, they were definitely not fit to be in there. The owner had a bigger ego with tonnes of murals about himself and was obviously not concerned about making the ‘zoo’ look inviting to customers. You could barely see the spiders or scorpions in their tiny enclosures due to there being no light in a dark room.

I really enjoyed my trip to the venom zoo. I'm from England and we have absolutely nothing like this. Some of the snakes there were very Interesting and rare. Included with the admission price you get a free photo with a snake. The spiders and scorpions were very cool. Definitely worth $10

Amazing experience. Staff are so passionate and keen to share what they know. My kids (boy and girl 4&7) loved it! Highlight of the week. Holding and touching snakes plus learning about the scientific research underway was fantastic. Thank you so much!

It was way too expensive for a disappointing experience. We saw two spiders, some frogs and one scorpion. The snakes are amazing but the enclosures are too small for these magnificent animals. As usual the handlers at this place think that they knew more than anybody else. They give reptile lovers a bad name. I would not recommend it too anyone.

The owner was extremely rude to my 9 yr old nephew who was excited to talk to someone else that loves reptiles, it is a dark and dingy barn with snakes held in enclosures are are far too small and not maintained with snakes shedded skin and poo left in the enclosure for at least the past 24 hours. I wouldn't recommend this as something to visit in Kuranda

The young curator was nice enough. Then the owner started to openly berate and abuse him in front about 8 of us. Felt for the kid. Owner was incredibly unprofessional and downright abusive. I actually had to tell him to settle down because it was making everyone uncomfortable. He completely ruined our experience

Rude and arrogant staff members lack knowledge of the reptiles on show enclosures were not clean (snake feces,snake shed). The whole shed smelf of the snake poo. Couldnt even tell that a snake was in the process of shedding ( eyes were cloudy)therefore snake was snappy.several enclosures were way to small for the snake that was in them regardless if it was for demonstration or not. Couldnt even see the turtle that was in a glass enclosure. Would not reccomend that you waste your money on the admission should be closed down

Delicious honey and great service! They have many different varieties, each with its own distinct flavour, and I can rest easy knowing they're all 100% real honey, not corn syrup or full of chemicals. There's also a real person answering emails and helping with any questions!

Trish was soo helpfull today in helping us out to save our beehive after it was knocked over by a falling treebranch! We were able to set it up safely before the rain started this evening! Thanks Trish, we really appreciate your spontaneous help today!

I came here and bought some vanilla-infused honey and honeycomb, and they are perfect. The only thing I regret about my visit is not buying more. I would 100% recommend coming to the honey house. I love the honey house

The owner rears the honey bees himself and the prices are really attractive here. We got 1kg of lychee honey for abt AUD$16. They come in different sizes and there's free tasting too!

Absolutely beautiful honey, I love dark rich honey and they had that and so many other varieties to be enjoyed. They even rap them ready for plane travel. Highly recommend stopping here and supporting local business.

Having enjoyed Kuranda honey at breakfast every morning at Hilton Cairns, I was delighted to find this lovely honey shop is the supplier. Bought a good quantity of honey to enjoy at home. Absolutely delicious!

I did the 1h quad biking tour with my wife and 13 year old son. We all loved the experience! The hosts were freindly and knowledgeable making sure to drive to our ability levels, pointing out any obstacles well ahead of us driving over them. The grounds are amazing, we drove on multiple different routes, through forest tracks, beautiful fields and through muddy water - great fun! The location is amazing, serene and calm with awesome views. After the thrill of the quad biking we spent time feeding the animals, they were all super freindly and obviously well looked after. A great experience - highly highly recommended!

From the moment we arrived at the farm in Cairns, it felt like a perfect escape from the everyday. One of the highlights was the peaceful horse ride guided by Revear — she was amazing. Super professional, friendly, and made the whole experience feel really smooth and relaxing. We got to hand-feed adorable animals (definitely a core memory), then jumped on the quad bikes for an adrenaline-filled ride through the trails — so much fun. The glamping setup was surprisingly comfy, and after a full day of activities, sitting around the campfire with good company and a delicious BBQ dinner really hit the spot. The team running the place were all so lovely — welcoming, helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do. Whether you're looking to unplug, connect with nature, or just try something new, this place delivers.

Booked the hay ride today for something to do for Easter! We loved every minute of it! Kids had a ball with all the animals and it was nice to get away from everything and do something different. Will definitely come back here again. It was such an awesome experience!

Rooms were rather small only just enough room to get around the bed and the bathroom door almost hit the bed! No fan in the bathroom. We were told they would bring us fire wood for a fire pit but the sun set and we gave up waiting for it and went to bed then we here’d them bring wood before we fell asleep! In the morning we saw the 3 very small water logged peace’s of wood they had brought us! That night we lit the fire and asked for more wood at a reasonable hour they had a 9pm cut off for asking for more wood or assistance witch I thought was good but we never for more wood or a reply! Wouldn’t recommend for the price we stayed at much better places at lower prices and better service. Might be ok if you are from the city wanting a country view and pat a horse or something.

I had the pleasure of staying 2 nights at KUR-Cow and had a fabulous time whilst in Cairns. This was truly a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and an enjoyable way to reconnect with nature. Not only did I enjoy the serenity of the open landscape whilst horseback riding, but also had the thrill of exploring the wilderness during my quad bike tour. Special shout out to Ken, Revear and Ocean for being such amazing hosts and taking care of us throughout our stay! Still thinking about my time at the farm and hope to come back soon! If you are in the area, give this place a visit as it won't disappoint <3

Absolutely fabulous for the whole family. We did ATV riding and horse riding, it's very safe, the host is a lovely man amd very friendly and makes your entire family comfortable and feel very safe. This is a must visit destination of you're coming to Cairns Thank you guys this was seriously a memory well never forget.

Fabulous glass bottom walkway looking out over the Baron Falls. It’s a couple of hundred meters walk down from the Skyrail station. View from the walkway is lovely, we were here at the end of the wet season and the water flow was down to a bit of a trickle. That said, a fabulous experience!

Did you know you could swim the the pools? We’ve seen locals doing this.

First stop on the Skyrail when leaving from Kuranda. Highly recommend that you take some time to enjoy this facility. Very impressive! Stunning view of the Barron Gorge and the falls. We had an amazing experience at Nunu! Suzi took care of us and she was absolutely lovely — her personal recommendations were spot on, and we loved every dish we tried. We ordered the duck rice, the Signature Beef, and two pieces of lamb with a glazed sauce. Everything was exquisite, with such a unique and tropical flavor. We also loved the cassava chips with their homemade lime salt, which they serve complimentary at every table. We truly recommend this place 100%!

My wife and decided to visit NuNus restaurant. We were not disappointed. The food was exquisite and the staff was very friendly with good service. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and our experience there. There are some beautiful sea views from the restaurant as well. I noticed that the restaurant makes its own bread for sale there and also sells relish and other types of jams. We will definitely be back.

I dined here three times during my stay in Palm Cove. The restaurant has the best location of all the dining options. Huge outdoor space with panoramic views of the ocean that are lit in the evening with festoon lights, providing an intimate setting. Also has a large indoor space. All the waitstaff I encountered were welcoming and attentive, many are travellers of the world so it was lovely having a chat with them. The food is divine, great options for breakfast/ brunch and the dinner experience is very special. A must visit during your stay.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. Our waiter was fabulous—friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I am in a wheelchair and being able to wheel right at front is amazing. The food is divine amd so delicious. Breakfast is perfect. Location outstanding. The staff are beautiful people and show such a professional and friendly attitude. I definitely will be going each day while I am here for the next two days.

What a vibe. Banana hanging from the ceiling, beachfront patio, super friendly staff. The setting raised expectations sky-high, and the food did not disappoint. Amazing combinations of familiar Western flavors with exotic twists. Special shoutout to the ricotta tortelloni: it’s a rare day when an Italian actually enjoys pasta abroad (especially outside an Italian restaurant). Chapeau!

The food at Nu Nu was outstanding. During my stay I had a delicious lunch on the Terrance, and decided to book The Tasting Menu with wine pairing for dinner Saturday night. I was not disappointed. Every dish was a culinary delight. I have not experienced such an abundance of flavour, ever. The delicate use of various herbs enhanced each dish & the edible greens like the betel leaf were a knock out. Australian & French wines complimented the meal. I highly recommend the tasting menu & wine pairing, it is simply delicious & value for money.

Beautiful views from the window-side tables. However, tends to feel a little cramped inside when all tables are full. The menu boasts a great variety of pizza toppings. The dough was unfortunately quite doughy in the crusts, rather than large and puffy. Generous with the toppings, and overall, a wonderful customer service experience. Would love to return and try their gnocchi.

Apparently the best pizza in town. Maybe. We were told to return in an hour, so we popped next door for a quick wine or two. But when we came back, we were informed with a flat-out “no”—without apology—that there was no pizza and our table hadn’t been kept. (He sort of reminded of the soup episode in Seinfeld!) If it was genuinely that busy, we should have been told up front. We’d have happily gone elsewhere. Disappointing experience. Food - decent pizza, we actually ordered takeaway a few days - always tricky to tell with takeaway. Atmosphere - was busy and looked like it was good…

Bravo! As a Greek myself, I was very impressed with the food. From the paidakia to the loukoumades, absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was so warming. James and Lisa are very hospitable and their staff are so friendly. Well done James! Cooking is superb mate.

Update ** unfortunately I have woken up with a dodgy stomach, not great right before our trip to the reef. I’m usually a 5* reviewer and love giving good reviews, however we didn’t have a great experience. Firstly we ordered a glass of Merlot which was totally stale (and at $17.50 per glass we weren’t happy to let it slide), when we asked for a fresh glass the waitress told us the bottle was opened this morning- curious because the restaurant isn’t open in the morning and who’s ordering Merlot for breakfast? They then proceeded to pour us a fresh glass which tasted great. But only after stating how the manager had tasted the stale wine and thought it tasted the same as the fresh wine? If it was my restaurant and the wine was stale I’d just apologise take the glass and bring a fresh one, it’s awkward enough without a debate. This first part of the evening was unfortunate but I wouldn’t normally rate any less for this as mistakes happen. Moving on, we had some pittas and dips to start which was nice with some delicious flavours, and I also had the skewers as a main. Unfortunately the skewers were raw, the lamb was totally charred on the outside but raw on the inside not sure if it was perhaps taken from the freezer straight to the grill. Anyway after the awkward complaint about the wine we didn’t want to complain again and left without dessert. Photo attached of the raw lamb, hopefully I don’t get sick🤞🏼 waitress were otherwise helpful and smiley no complaints there. One shared starter, one soft drink, one glass of wine and a main came to $120 for the two of us.

The moussaka was rich and perfectly seasoned, and the grilled octopus—tender with a smoky char—was the best I’ve ever had. Don’t even get me started on the tzatziki and warm pita... divine! The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Our server helped us choose the perfect wine pairing and made sure we felt right at home. The atmosphere was cozy and authentic, with Greek music playing softly in the background. It felt like a quick getaway to the Mediterranean. Whether you’re a fan of Greek cuisine or new to it, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

One of our favourite meals from our trip! The staff were all so personable, a great range of food available on the menu. So much so that we struggled to decide what to order! We had the mixed grill & beftekia piperata. Both were delicious with great flavours. We then shared a dessert which was also lovely.

We were so looking forward to Greek food, tantalizing lamb and chicken. We were disappointed. Firstly, we were seated next to a god awful loud group, that ruined the atmosphere. Good wait staff would have recognised this and offer to move us. We literally sat down, were given the menu and were asked what would like to drink. Hadn’t even looked at the menu. The waitress came back 2 minutes later and asked again, on the 3rd occasion we ordered drinks. Then the pressure was on to order a meal. The food was a let down ☹️ The saganaki was like cardboard, lacking flavour. Was it from a supermarket? Watermelon and feta salad tasted ok but was thrown together in a bowl. The stithos spanaki was bland, the cream sauce had no flavour. We didn’t stay for dessert- way too noisy, instead of a special night out - it was disappointing.

I didn’t take part of the activities but watched . The staff made us feel welcome to watch and no cost . Beautiful setting with cafe and bar . Fun watching those brave people jump .

Fun thing to try. Prices are pretty good. Staff are friendly and helpful. A lot of stairs to the top, gets the heart pumping. Probably wouldn't do it again. Nobody mentioned the free Tshirt, luckily one staff member told us about it on the way out.

I booked the Big Swing for my mother and I on her birthday this week. The big swing was absolutely amazing! We ended up booking a tandem bungee but I was a bit nervous and my mum ended up doing a solo jump. Very entertaining watching everyone jump & swing. The staff are very friendly. I was very happy with the footage of our big swing. I received a voucher for my bungee jump. We will be back sometime soon so I can complete my first bungee. Thankyou for the great day! My mother very much enjoyed her birthday.

Another awesome experience at Skypark. This places was the reason we came back to Cairns. Great facilities, a bar and a hot food available. Staff were super friendly, they're inclusive and accommodating to everyone of all ages and abilities. My son had a great time bungy jumping for his birthday. We bought tickets in advance for simplicity's sake, but you can purchase them there too.

Amazing experience! The bungee jump was absolutely insane — pure adrenaline from start to finish! The team was super friendly and professional, and the pickup right in front of my hostel made everything so easy. Totally worth it — 10/10 would do again!

Such an incredible experience! The bungee jump and giant swing were thrilling and so well run — I felt safe, supported, and full of adrenaline! This was a great cultural experience. Learned about the aboriginal culture in Australia’s rainforest. Everyone was very friendly and excited to share their knowledge. Can easily spend an entire day there, but half day is sufficient. Make sure to check schedule to be able to visit the shows. We paid a little extra for the cultural creations and were able to make a bracelet/necklace and paint a returning boomerang that we got to bring home. We were able to throw boomerangs and spears in an open field which was a lot of fun. For lunch, we got a tasting plate for 2 which had a great selection of Australian food (kangaroo, emu, crocodile, prawns, etc.). A must see for anyone wanting to learn about culture in Cairns area. Keep up the great work on sharing your culture!

Highly recommended experience with lots of different fun activities including spear & Boomerang throwing. The dance show was amazing as well. Special shout-out to the very friendly staff and guides!

Very interesting. The guided tour lasted 2.5 hours approximately with different stations. Our favourite being the boomerang and spear throwing (although we would have liked to throw more than 2 spears and 3 tries at the boomerang throwing, guessing this is because of the size of the last tour at 2pm for the day). We were disappointed that the boomerang painting was only at 11:30am. Also our guided tour didn’t do all the things promised in the brochure, we didn’t do the face painting or traditional oven demonstration and guessing other items listed were all done in the dance. None the less fun, informative and friendly staff. The cafe had delicious food for lunch as well.

This is a fun experience. The dinner show was fabulous. They interact with the audience. Our overseas visitors from California really enjoyed themselves getting involved in traditional tribal dance and fire making. Giving us all facial paint was also fun. The buffet food was fantastic. We planned it that we attended after catching the cable car down from Kuranda as it is located not far from there. Altogether a great experience and highly recommended.

I have a great interest in Aboriginal culture and this place blew me away. There is many displays to look at including a dance performance and guided experiences to take part in including boomerang & spear throwing, learning about bush foods and their rituals. There is a variety of experiences that are offered as extensions which I did both the creative experience & bush tucker & medicine walk which included lunch ($30) and afternoon tea.

We visited the tjapukai theater in the afternoon. After entering you see the hall where there is an exhibition of various things used by the aborigines, there art and culture. Then you enter the theater. Where a group of aborigine dancers welcomes you. Their leader was very funny and won over the crowd. They narrated their culture and traditions, their musical instruments and the importance of making fire using traditional methods. They were also gonna display the throwing of boomerang, but as it was raining heavily outside, they couldn't. But they displayed marvelous songs and dance of their culture. They also got the crowd involved, as their song had a nice rythm and beat to it. Has to say tjapukai theater is an impressive show.👌🏼👍🏻

We had the most amazing time here. Our personal guide was great and the chef was super accommodating in regards to food allergies. A fabulous place to learn about aboriginal culture.

What an impressive collection! If you're a history buff or just enjoy learning, I can highly recommend visiting this museum. You can get up close and observe machinery and weaponry that have survived for hundreds of years. So much to see, and several experiences such as the shooting gallery and Humvee rides available to observe or participate in (get there early!) There is a play area for the kids, and a well stocked gift shop. Be prepared it is quite warm inside the very large shed, so stay hydrated.

Well worth a visit if you’re into this type of boys toys. Everything is well laid out and the information boards are informative. There are special activity days and also you can book rides on a couple of vehicles but check first. Another busy attraction is the rifle range downstairs

Awesome collection of armour/tanks. Been following their YouTube channel for awhile now and was keen to visit. Must see if you are into WW2 Tanks and history as well as more modern armour. Warning, a large collection and so much to look at just don't take a partner that is not as interested in it as much as you are...lol. I needed more time to read the descriptions and take reference pictures for my model kit set growing collection.

Definitely worth every penny. Really admire the love and care that went into keeping everything in pristine condition. The displays are well layed out and the shop has plenty of things you can buy for memories. Easy parking and there are clean public toilets on site.

I was expecting it to be great and it was even better than that! A must-see fir any fans of artillery, the military, war history and memorabilia. I recommend paying for the top tier shooting range package.

Amazing ! Had a great day . Driven around in a Humvee was great fun. Used a couple of guns on the range, all done very safely . Lots of historic vehicles and a really good gift shop .

If you haven't been here then you should definitely put it on your bucket list. This is one of the better collections of Armour and artillery pieces in the world. To maximise your time and experience here I would recommend to come to Ausarmourfest where you can ride some of the tanks and get to see some truly rare pieces of history in motion. Ausarmourfest was well organised and executed we all had a ball and took away some life time memories with us. Thank you to all the staff who were friendly and very helpful plus answered any and all of our questions. keep up the great work and good luck with the maintenance and clean up after another epic event.

Pleasant spot right at the edge of the jungle. Just from our table we saw, wild birds, lizards, and other creatures. The grub was great. My friend got the advertised crocadile dish, which he enjoyed. I got a regular burger, which was appetizing. The owner who served us was friendly and gave us some interesting info about ketchup.

Convenient area to eat if you’ve just been to the koala gardens/butterfly gardens/bird world. It’s a casual eatery situated amongst the trees and was quite peaceful and airy. Staff were lovely as well. They have an interesting menu with some standard favourites like burgers and salads etc but what stood out to me was their unique meat options. We decided to try the karage crocodile which was tasty but quite a small portion. The curry was the stand out dish - delicious despite the hot weather! Unfortunately I didn’t find the barramundi to be very fresh at all so that was a bit lacklustre. However, personally I did not find the food to be

We dined in a group of 42 people. The staff were fast and friendly. We had Srilankan food, plus pizza and fries. The taste of chickpea, paneer, daal was nice. Pizza were tasteless, thin crust but hardly any toppings or cheese. Fries were under fried. It was quite warm and stuffy during lunch time. There are some interesting handmade items on sale within the restaurant. Such as leather belt, bags, caps, ornaments. There is a Birds World next to the dining area. The entry is payable though. Overall, i found this restaurant unique, authentic with moderately good food.

Frogs Restaurant in the Kuranda Markets was the perfect spot for a well-earned break. As my family wandered the markets, I spotted the slightly raised seating area and the glorious sign that said “beer” — and I knew exactly where I needed to be. Grabbing a cold drink and relaxing at a shaded table while soaking in the atmosphere was just what I needed. The setting was ideal for people-watching and taking a breather from the hustle of the markets. A great place to unwind in the heart of Kuranda.

I did a day trip to Kuranda from Cairns as I read online it was an extraordinary, must-see place to visit. In my exploring I came across Frogs restaurant and as the menu looked rather unique and the interior fitted in nicely with the jungle aesthetic, I thought I would stop off for lunch here. Unfortunately I didn't receive my order for around half an hour so I asked as to where it was. The manager (I believe) profusely apologised, saying that it hadn't been out through correctly. As such, he gave it to me on the house! Such a kind gesture and not only was it a memorable gastronomic experience to try, but the crocodile curry ended up being very tasty! All topped off with being joined for lunch by water dragons - the full Karunda experience I'd say so can recommend eating here!

Food yummy, perfect service. Not much more you can ask for. Manager on-top of his game. Lovely outdoor vibe with air circulation enough to maintain cool feeling. Convenient location to visit after trip to bird world or other surrounding experiences.

Frogs is a great place to come and eat in a restaurant with an enjoyable atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. I was particularly impressed with the wildlife and the beautiful plants that surround the restaurant. Although there are many eating places in Kuranda, I would not hesitate to come here again.

Service was good. Food was good. Location was good. Unfortunately the trivia night took over the full venue. Great if that is why you went but for those just wanting to enjoy a relaxing good meal it had quite an impact.

Best place to take the kids for dinner in Palm Cove, as they have is lost of things to keep them entertained. Great place for a drink and watch sport. Food is OK don't expect fine dining.

Great spot for lunch and an afternoon bevvie! We stopped here recently for lunch. Good range of options, good portions and excellent service. My friend loved that she could bring her dog and there were even options on the menu for her!!

What a nice pub. Modern, casual, and well spread out. Order from the table (very quick service) or at the bar. Steak sandwich 9/10! Great chicken schnitzel too. Well priced drinks. Multiple screens to watch your favourite game. They also have a list of games being shown in that screen so you know what's on where. Easy walk from far end of the esplanade.

We very much enjoyed our dinner - we ordered number of sea food dishes and they were all amazing. There is little self service element to this restaurant which is ok by me. Overall great place to have dinner. Happy to come back. Side note there was a wedding reception at this location so we listened to lots of funny and heart warming speeches.

Last year we were recommended to eat here, we finally made it this year. Maybe there's been a change of chef and bar staff, or it was the regulars day off. Food and cocktails were not on par with other establishments charging the same price in Palm Cove, below average at best. Outdoor seating area was ok, if you don't mind the last dinners food all over the floor. Service was ok

I visited here with my family, and appreciated the friendly and enthusiastic service with a smile that I received. The staff were very patient while we tried several different flavours before deciding. There’s a huge range of flavours and options, including milkshakes, and the ice cream itself is absolutely delicious.

Great local ice cream shop in Palm Cove! We tried White Chocolate & Macadamia and Honeycomb — both were super tasty and natural. You can tell it’s a local business that does things really well. Highly recommended! 🍦

We've had almost daily visits to this great little ice-creamery every time we've visited Palm Cove... so many delicious flavours to enjoy... Cups or cones - you choose!! And you can try before you buy which is a bonus! Speaking of bonuses, Numi also has a store loyalty card, so after devouring about 10 icecreams, you get a free one - and there's no expiry date!! The store is clean and the staff are friendly. Given they're open from 10am until 10pm, it's definitely a great way to enjoy a treat any time of the day... See you again soon!!

Visited Kuranda and decided Fruibies was a great option for a healthy and nutritious lunch. My wife and I both selected a drink - Iced Chai for me and an Iced Coffee for her, at the exorbitant prices of S $10, M $13, L $19. They're also made with cane sugar which, as far as I'm aware, isn't exactly a healthy ingredient. That being said, both were really good and thoroughly enjoyed, whether healthy or not. Sadly, the salads we bought (mixed roast vege salad x 2) were very disappointing. A decent serving size of flavourless veges, alongside a large pile of diced tomatoes, sitting atop a bed of coarsely chopped iceberg lettuce. That last detail especially, when kale, baby spinach and rocket are much better options, gave the impression of lazy and generic meal creation and presentation. It was truly a let-down from the very first bite. The service was pleasant and polite, and dining in the heart of Kuranda is always going to tick the atmosphere box. Overall though, we would return for the drinks but little else.

Really healthy and organic menu. Lots of good drinks and some healthy bowls as well! Mango dream smoothie was delicious. All ingredients made themselves! Would recommend.

We had the sugarcane juice with lime and ginger. It was excellent. A tad bit expensive but then again, it is a tourist location. The lady at the counter was very helpful

Was searching for organic freshly pressed cane juice all over Cairns and Port Douglas and finally found it here. Nice relief on a hot day with the minty option, no ice. Jumbo option has no lid but works great to share with family. Fast service and great atmosphere with lively crowd. Also had organic coconuts but I wasn't into that, just the cane juice what I was looking for, finally.

Very friendly staff who helped us choose our food. The whole menu is fully vegan. We had a sweet potato bowl and a sweet potato wrap, both were very delicious, everything was freshly made on the spot, looked and tasted healthy and fresh, and made from scratch. The wrap was made of dehydrated carrots and ...(forgotten, but tasted great!) Highly recommended, and will be back. Thank you so much.

I have visited Fruibies several times and it is always a ‘go-to’ when I am in Kuranda. Each time I have visited, I have really enjoyed their food. Especially good is the deluxe burger, which they can make all raw if desired. I Love that it is all vegan and you can get all raw vegan meals too if you are on a raw vegan diet. Great quality produce, well put together meals, and Lovely flavour combinations. I have also have had delicious sugar cane juice here. Recommended for fresh vegan and raw vegan food and drinks. Looking forward to my next visit.

We ate here for 3 days in a row because the food and drinks are so good! Everything is fresh and tasty, and we didn't have to worry about health implications while eating pizza and wraps 😁 My only complaints would be: -it seemed like our juice order got pushed behind some other ones of people arriving after we ordered, waited 20 minutes for sugarcane juice when no one else had orders ahead of us. -the wrap did not cover the fillings so could not be taken out of the paper - had to pick out the fillings with my hands I sincerely wish I could eat here everyday, thanks guys for having a wonderful shop

I had a wonderful experience in this art store. Each piece is authentic and most of locally made. You can learn about each artist and the story behind their piece. Lovely person helped me to pick out a few pieces and I am thrilled to take them home. Highly recommend this spot!

Good small shipping centre with quite a few dining and shops as well as the Coles supermarket. The Coles supermarket is nice and spacious.

This a nice tidy shopping centre. Convenient to where we are staying at Ellis beach. Coles is lovely staff helpful.

Pretty much has everything for a smaller shopping centre including post office, pharmacy, Dr, dentist, Coles, Target, butcher, Baker, News agency, bakery and fresh produce to name a few. Clean public toilets with easy signage, undercover parking with wheelchair accessible entry in addition to outside car spots directly in front. Petrol station is also on complex and car rentals in the same precinct.

Well spread out. Not a lot of shops, but has a very well stocked coles and liquorland, a reject shop, post office, bakery, butcher and a few health related businesses. Parking out front. Toilets were very clean.

Great little shopping centre, always plenty of car parks.

Poorly managed Disappointing experience at this store 18H20 on a weeknight, and all the tellers were shut - only option for self-service The elderly couple beside me had significant issues trying to operate the checkout. As a result, the self-serve error resolver was manually assisting them This then left about 4 self-serve points with errors waiting to be resolved. When another passing team member was asked for help, they refused stating it wasn't their department (so much for customer service) Feedback was reported to Coles and a week later no reply or follow-up Why would anyone choose to shop here with the lack of customer service and low staff levels

I'm a regular at this store and I always get such good service from all of their friendly staff. I enjoy seeing my favourite Russian checkout chick Galeana(?) Who is always bright, happy and helpful. The service makes this my preferred place to shop. 😊

Coles Clifton Beach is a typical Coles supermarket, but it shines thanks to its exceptional staff, who are always kind, helpful, and ready with a smile, making shopping a breeze. The store is never overly busy, so you can zip in and out without the usual crowds. Plus, the plaza itself is a gem, with a fantastic butcher and a great liquor store just steps away, adding extra convenience for grabbing quality meats and drinks. A reliable and pleasant spot for all your grocery needs, definitely worth a visit!

The Coles had everything we needed for a AirBnB week long stay. The aisles and are spacious, but the bakery does sell out of bread.

My go to grocery when I am in Clifton Beach. Like Coles everywhere, clean, fresh, reasonably priced. Always go back.

was here back in November 2022, found this place randomly while checking on maps what's around. Beautiful walk, clear water made me want to swim. How come i didn't know this place before??

The further up you walk from the creek, the better! Stunning clear water and peaceful area.

Was absolutely beautiful! A hard walk in parts but worth it. Plenty of places to stop and have a swim and explore along the trail. Make sure you wear comfortable and durable shoes, walking on the stoney paths can be difficult and rocks by by the water slippery.

Good solid walk through the rainforest with a nice view at the Rock. We actually got a glimpse of a cassowary which was nice… we heard some crunching in the distance and spotted it shuffling behind some bushes. There are some reasonably steep inclines but good solid path.

One of my favourite places to go to swim all the time. Also super safe even when it’s been raining heaps and great place to start the Douglas Track from. Lots of spots to swim so you don’t have to hang with others if you don’t want to. Waterfall at the top!

A lifetime ago when I lived in Cairns, this was my go-to spot when it was way too hot. When I’ve returned to the area over the years, I make time to traverse the path up to the weir. It’s a little piece of paradise; tread lightly and enjoy!

Amazing crystal-clear water, with cute waterfalls and small ponds, It's a great way to cool off and get in touch with nature - the water is extremely nice. It's incredible how you can find a place like this barely 15 minutes out of town.

So happy we booked this tour! We had a nervous 13yo but the staff were reassuring and delightful with him. He absolutely loved it! Ellen, our guide was a blast. We all had a lot of fun with her and she added to our experience with her knowledge of the fauna and flora. Highly recommend!

Loved this tour! We haven’t stopped talking about it. Perry was very helpful in getting everything set up for us (planning from the USA) and was very responsive and professional during our correspondence. We were able to book a full day tour (skyrail, scenic train and the ATV tour). Once we arrived in Cairns he continued to follow up with us to make sure everything was all systems go. To make the deal even sweeter, we had Ellen as our tour guide! She was def cool people, very knowledgeable and showed us a good time (down to earth, friendly, attentive). The views from the rainforest floor and learning about the history of the property and the surrounding area was pretty awesome. We would definitely recommend this tour to others and would do it again ourselves. I would also recommend the 2 hr tour as it will give you more time to see things.

Highly recommend this company! Saw the Cassowary up close (2 of them), had a blast in the rain on the ATV's while also learning a lot of interesting facts about Kuranda Rainforest. We booked the full day through these guys, which made things a lot easier: pick up from hotel, Skyrail to Kuranda Rainforest, 2 hour ATV Tour, finishing with the Kuranda Scenic Rail trip home, all sorted in one booking through these guys. Even had a good couple hours to explore Kuranda Markets and have lunch. Once again, highly recommend these guys! They were fantastic! And thank you to our amazing tour guide!

We had such an amazing time. We had a group of 11 (8 adults and 3 children). 6 adults road on the ATV quad bikes whilst 2 adults accompanied the minors in a 6 seater buggy that our tour guide drove. This was great as it allowed our whole family to enjoy the tour and no one had to sit out. Very informative, tour guides are friendly with a sense of humour. Nice small intimate group setting. Heads up it's a long drive from the turn off of the main street. Keep driving, you're in the right track lol. We will defs come again!

Fantastic tour. Great tracks for ATV beginners. My son loved it. Staff is very knowledgeable. Property is vast and beautiful. We were lucky enough to interact with cassowaries. This is a fun way to discover the rainforest and see cassowaries.

When taking a trip to Kuranda booking this tour is a must!!! The highlight of the day was the quad bike tour, the family that run this made us all feel so welcome and gave us a great insight into the history of the area. Our tour guide was great as well, he made sure we all got great photos to remember this experience

My family and I had the best time on the ATV ride. Not only did they fit us in (after i booked the wrong date) at the last minute they guide was very informative & fun to be around. The tracks are nice and its age inclusive as smaller children can go in the can am buggy with an adult. We all had a blast and had all ages from 7 to 31 and all agreed its a must do!

If you have time this is a great track to walk in Kuranda. Sealed and an easy walk down to the creek.

An easy hike around kuranda village. Can see the river, the train line and grab food in the markets. Mostly paved, a decent amount of stairs but not too many.

What a great trail and it is so well cared for. Seriously impressive how they made this trail work with the jungle around it!

Wonderful rainforest walk close to Kuranda. Dense foliage with stunning birds and a beautiful creek in the middle. It is long enough to enjoy and short enough to not be tiring.

The staff were lovely and willing to take the time to explain the various selections. Finally settled for the dark chocolate sorbet and what a great choice. Not overly sweet but lots of chocolate flavour comes through. Can recommend wandering across the road to enjoy the ocean and island views as a bonus

Friendly service, generous helpings, nice outdoor seated area, but some of the tastes didn't quite match the flavours and the gelato, which had a lovely consistency, were all very sweet, strongly flavoured and coloured, more like cordial than the all-natural marketing.
