Park
Grasslands National Park is a vast protected grassland that offers rare native wildlife, hiking trails, and campgrounds with tent cabins. The park's east part features the Killdeer Badlands of the Rock Creek area, showcasing multicolored hues from exposed layers of various formations. This landscape holds many fossil deposits, including the first dinosaur remains discovered in Western Canada.
I agree with other reviews that said this park is under-rated. It was well worth the time and effort to come here. We stayed in the west side at Frenchman valley campsite in an o-tentic. Very comfy - even during a heat wave (cooled down nicely at night). Gorgeous sunset, amazing star gazing. We were lucky enough to cross paths with a bison and saw some other wildlife! Enjoyed the fireside chat hosted by the park staff. We had a fabulous time.
Lisa P — Google review
My husband and I visited the east side of the park last summer. The Badlands Parkway offers great vistas with magnificent views. For lunch, we had chicken salad sandwiches and iced tea at the red chairs. Impossible to do the whole park in one day. Next time we're in Saskatchewan, we'll the west side.
Daniel C — Google review
Absolutely special and unique. Undeveloped and wonderful. Spiritual. Saw more animals in a two hr drive than we saw in any month travelling around Canada for the past year!
Anne B — Google review
Take a drive out here and experience the beautiful serene landscape that has the abundance of history for any adventure. We loved the path, there are rental cabins here, probably try another trip. There is some gravel near the last mile or so, please no Lamborghini....have a safe trip if you go!
Preston I — Google review
Grasslands National Park is one of Canada’s least visited wild spaces, and that’s both so very good and too bad at the same time. It’s so very good because this unique and hauntingly beautiful ecosystem is fragile and would be damaged irreparably by too many intrusive visitors. And the lack of visitors - particularly relative to the immensity of the space - only enhances the emotive power of the place. Put simply, too many humans here would be a crime. But it’s too bad because the grandeur of the immense spaces reaches deep into one’s soul, acting as a balm against the manic pace of modern life and reminding us of nature's healing powers. More people need to experience these feelings; if they did perhaps they’d feel more connected to this fragile planet we call home and be more inclined to take better care of the natural gifts we’ve been given. During our three says of say hiking (we stayed at The Convent Inn in Val Marie) we lost ourselves (metaphorically) in the beauty of this place. Within 15 minutes of setting out on our first hike we caught a quick flash of movement in some rocks adjacent to the trail. Lo and behold, here was an endangered Greater Short-horned Lizard scampering about a mere metre off the trail. As if that weren’t enough, a few minutes later we had a reasonably close encounter with another endangered species - a Pronghorn Antelope scampering along a series of hills below the high trail we were tramping. This beautiful animal teased us with its presence for about ten minutes before disappearing for good. After about 30 minutes of walking the groomed trail gave way to cross-country trekking with no distinct trails to follow. Instead, one is expected to look for one metre high plasticized, painted trail guideposts spaced out at random intervals and distances. For the most part these are reasonably visible, but there were a number of times when we had to stop and stare - sometimes for ten minutes or longer - to find the next marker. While this can be disconcerting we managed to find all the markers and continue on our way with reasonable certainty that we were on the right track. *Note: this is a place where you want to bring a compass (and know how to use it) just in case you lose track of the trail. We hiked to our turnaround point, which just happened to overlook a vast Prairie Dog town (yes, they’re called towns). We set up for lunch and just listened to the sound of the town’s residents calling back and forth, their calls carried on the ever present breezes that also brought the scent of prairie grasses and wildflowers to our high perch. Finally, a word about the beautiful quiet of this place. You can spend hours walking, or sitting, and hear nothing more than the hum of pollinators, the rustling of grasses touched by the breeze, the occasional “yip” of Prairie Dogs, or the cry of a hawk gliding overhead. It’s one of the most magical and therapeutic places we’ve ever hiked. Highly recommended - but not for too many people!

I visited the east block on November 18, 2023. The experience was very cool since the landscape paired with snow made it look super unique (kind of like Antarctica). I recommend anyone to visit grasslands NP & do the ecotour drive like I did.
Denis — Google review
Absolutely incredible park. We camped in the East Block and did the scenic drive along the Badlands Parkway for the views. It was 28°C during the day and 8°C at night. We also drove over to the West Block for the eco-tour scenic route and got to see a herd of bison. Make sure you drive to the lookout on the back country loop in the West Block. Amazing place. Can't wait to revisit.
Rachel I — Google review
Loved this place! I went specifically for the endless sea of grass, wildlife, wild territory, backcountry camping and hiking. Don't expect trees and shade or swimming creeks to cool down. Very hot in July/August so bring lots of water, sun screen and cover up (we were wearing long sleeves). Great landscape and peace. Barely saw anyone there except two hikers and 3 or 4 cars, which is amazing. The staff at the entrance is great and helpful. Cool informative book and stops to complete by car to learn about the grasslands and the history of them. Beware of rattlesnakes, but 3 days in the country and we didn't see nor hear any. I encourage people to go visit greatly worth the detour! Very different than what most of us are used to for landscape and park. Great value to keep protecting and to discover.

Park
Nature & Parks
Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, located at the border of Alberta and Saskatchewan, is Canada's first provincial park. It features the picturesque Cypress Hills, reaching 580 meters high and offering a range of activities for nature enthusiasts. The park spans 400 square kilometers and boasts diverse landscapes including forests, wetlands, grasslands, bluffs, prairies, and hills. Visitors can enjoy camping, biking, hiking, skiing in winter months as well as water sports and wildlife watching.
Hands down, this is our favourite Provincial Park in SK. It has incredible amenities and something for everyone. Glorious vistas abound. The campsites are quite open/very low privacy due to the pines, but if you book the sites on the outside edges of the loops, they're better. Weather can be unpredictable at these elevations. We had hail and cold temps in July. The observatory and dark sky preserve are also a real treat!
Jason S — Google review
Cypress Hills were as beautiful as ever. Very quiet as we went in Sept. If you want activities go in summer. Was a bit smokey when we were there so view from lookout wasn't as good as usual .
Carl — Google review
Only got to spend 1 night on my way to Alberta. The park is located south of the town of Maple Creek. You can refill gas and buy necessities in here or do it in the park as they have a store, restaurant, and gas pump within it. There are many trails around , beach and many modern amenities. The trails are full of deer, and where there is deer, there are ticks. There is a golf course as well. This is a park well worth visiting with the family and for more than 1 day.
Vivian F — Google review
Grew up coming here. It's changed a lot, but it's a nice spot for families. There's always something going on. A bit more commercialization than the Elkwater side, so be aware of that if you're looking for seclusion and time in the bush.
Angie N — Google review
Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park is one of the most beautiful places in Saskatchewan. There are lots of things to explore. We tented in #67 in Terrace and the site was lovely. Terrace is quite sloped so plan where to raise your tent accordingly. Unfortunately it is quite open to site #23 and we had some loud talkers for neighbours. There was no patrol of the park to enforce the 24 quiet times. We had ear plugs and used them. Loch Leven was lovely to paddle, we launched off the beach, there is parking nearby. Conglomerate Cliffs are lovely, as is Bald Butte and more. Will definitely be back!
Patricia M — Google review
First time at Cypress Hills this year. It's a fantastic park. Would recommend at least 4 nights stay to take everything in. Washrooms were very clean, including the odd outhouse building. Nice warm showers you don't have to pay for and free campfire wood. Hiking trails are very well groomed. All employees in the park were very friendly. Hardly any tree coverage in the Meadows campground, would highly recommend selecting a site on the outer edge. Water craft rentals are very reasonably priced and enjoyable.
Jim P — Google review
Beautiful place to eat a quiet meal. Facilities were clean. Plenty of places to put garbage. The time of year we were there left the park pretty quiet. I would say when it is busy you are pretty close to your neighbor. That said, there are plenty of books and crannies to find some alone time. The scenery is to die for.
Dante M — Google review
Been there two years in a row now. Lots of walking/biking trails. General store has almost everything and is very reasonably priced. Enjoyed the ice cream and food at Dar’s Little Dipper. My only complaint is there is not much around for water/lakes but the small lake in the park is still fairly big enough to enjoy for a couple hours.

Parks
Echo Valley Provincial Park, located in Saskatchewan, offers a perfect getaway for fishing and water enthusiasts with its two beaches and access to Echo and Pasqua Lakes. The park features Camp-Easy sites for easy booking and is an ideal destination for a hassle-free vacation. Visitors can enjoy epic views of the lakes from the drive-up rim viewpoint and experience stunning autumn colors by hiking on any of the nine trails leading off from the Hole in the Wall campground.
First time staying at Echo Valley, and we had a great time. We stayed three nights in one of the yurts, which is very worth the extra $$, particularly when you have a toddler. The yurt had nice bunk beds (others we’ve stayed in had one bed and the rest were cots). You’ll want to bring a fan or two if staying in the summer, it gets real stuffy in there. Campsite was clean and so were the bathrooms and showers, which were very close by. Visitor center was nice. Decent playgrounds. Of the two beaches, we preferred the one on Echo Lake; though it was a tad busier, the water was cleaner and the beach was smoother. Mini-golf and ice cream is a nice afternoon activity option. The hiking trails were well-maintained. Would love to return and explore more of the park.

It was Good scenery place especially if you are living nearby Regina. The park offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and outdoor activities, making it a great destination for a weekend escape. Camping facilities were clean and well-organized, with a good balance between privacy and accessibility.
Maulik P — Google review
Amazing lake, beautiful wide beach and stunning sunset! Lots of picnic spots and campsite. Nothing much to do but we had fun with the mini golf and ice cream is as good as the one in Cypress Hill. Be back soon!
Regine L — Google review
We love this little park. It's close to the city and has great facilities. The kids love the beach and the lakes. If you are just looking to get outside for a while you don't have to drive 4 hours to do it. Great play grounds for the kids and the camping sites are all well maintained. We love this place for a long weekend trip.
Trent B — Google review
I recently spent a couple of days camping at Echo Valley Provincial Park, and we had a great experience! One highlight of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the park manager, who kindly offered to bring our kayak back to our campsite when she saw us carrying it back on foot. This thoughtful gesture made our trip much smoother and more enjoyable. The park itself is excellent, with stunning scenery and well-maintained facilities. Despite the mosquitoes being exceptionally vicious, we still had an amazing time exploring the area and soaking in the natural beauty. The trails, lake, and overall park experience made our camping trip truly memorable. We highly recommend Echo Valley Provincial Park to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque camping experience. We'll definitely be returning!
Brandon T — Google review
Nice picnic place for a day. Tickets can be purchased online or at the entrance. The water sports are allowed here. There are not so many people usually so you can enjoy quite place of you like these kind of places. Ice cream shop is available for you if you want to buy one, not too much costly.
Nimish B — Google review
We went for 5 days “Valley view” Camp site was exactly as described. The walk to look out point is a MUST at sunset !! 🥰 Bathroom and showers were clean . Hot water ! 👌🏼 only down side I would say that the beach and mini golf etc is NOT walking distance. So For us ( we have a vintage slide in camper) it was inconvenient as we had to disassemble and repack some stuff to make the drive down the valley (5 minutes) totally worth it though . The beach (echo side) is amazing . We will definitely be returning ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amanda D — Google review
Great provincial park, well maintained and great staff. Close enough to the city to drive but far enough to disconnect from the hustle and bustle, great amenities and has some breathtaking views and landscape. Family friendly.

Meadow Lake Provincial Park in Saskatchewan offers the 135-km Boreal Trail, perfect for experiencing the autumn foliage of spruce, pine, larch, poplar and birch trees. The trail is suitable for shorter afternoon hikes or weekend trips. The park features backcountry campsites located 2-10km from parking areas and friendly staff at the gates and offices. Visitors can enjoy swimming spots, fish-stocked lakes, and abundant wildlife along the trails.
I love Meadow Lake Provincial Park! ♥️ From lakes, to hiking trails, to beaches and rivers and don't forget the Saskatchewan wildlife Meadow Lake Provincial Park provides a variety of activities that you can do all year long! 🚶🏊🚣🚴🎏 The mosquitos are terrible so be prepared for that but other than that I have no complaints.
Rhea M — Google review
We stayed for six days in Northern Cross Resort in Meadow Lake park on the south side of Lac des Isles, venturing to the north side for hiking on one of the days. The camp is very clean, and it has 4G mobile coverage if you need to maintain a Duolingo streak or upload an activity to Strava. Every day was beach day and we rented a boat to try our hands at fishing. The water is cold for swimming, but clear and doesn't get too deep too quickly. Easy place to recommend, whether you have a car and a tent, or want a bit more luxury and rent a cabin.
Daniel F — Google review
I have visited the Murray Doell campground twice in July 2021. It is a beautiful park with access to Lac Des Îlles. Campsite 64 has a great path down to a private beach area. There is a great ice cream shop/concession stand that had plenty to eat and reasonable prices. Ice was $5 a bag. The first trip we did was during the Western Canada heat dome and the flies were bad. The second trip we didn't see any horseflies or deerflies. I recommend this campground to anyone nearby.
Rachel I — Google review
Great campground. Wish some of the flooded hikes were better marked (we did Kimble Lake Interpretive trail to Little Raspberry) as we had to backtrack quite a bit. Still a great adventure though :)
Emily M — Google review
Have heard good things about the hikes in Meadow Lake Provincial Park. Was super disappointed. Very poorly marked, and not upkept. Some trails are completely non existent. Tried the short loop of the gold Creek hike. Walked by the turn 3 times to find a knocked over stick leading to no trail. Also tried the wolf bay hike. After missing most of the turns and guessing the majority of the time where the trail is, it wasn't enjoyable. Management of MLPP, please slightly maintain the hike so people don't get lost/hurt
B M — Google review
Overall, the park is good with decent camp sites. But some things make me think twice about going back. The cost is really high when you have to factor in entrance fees and a $12 booking fee for what is an automate booking system. As a senior I would like better rates. The roads within the park as far as I gather are not patrolled and I encountered several speeding vehicles shedding gravel all over and as result I had a lot of chips on my windshield and bodywork. I encountered one station with shower/toilet facilities out of order and a couple pit toilets that were a disgusting mess. More frequent cleaning and upkeep is a must.
Home P — Google review
So beautiful out here. Back country camp sites that range from 2km-10km hike from the nearest place to park. The staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful at the park gates and offices. If you are going to back country camp, definitely call the park office beforehand and ask questions! There are some trails that are confusing if you've never been there before, and could use more/updated signage. Some good swimming places, fish-stocked lakes, and lots of wildlife to spot along the trails.

Prince Albert National Park is a sprawling million-acre playground for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a variety of activities throughout the year. The park features diverse landscapes where prairies meet parklands and forests, with numerous lakes adding to its charm. Visitors can enjoy canoeing in secluded forest lakes or hiking through mysterious parkland trails. The backcountry campgrounds provide an opportunity to immerse in nature's grandeur.
What the heck Saskatchewan?! This place is so cool!! I have been lucky enough to trek up here a few times this year. Cross country skiing in the area is fabulous, but the best part is the canoeing/kayaking in summer. Endless adventures on the lakes in the park. Excellent and well maintained back country camping. The wildlife I've encountered are otters, bears, and elk. Wear a bug suit in the summer 😬.
Kailey J — Google review
Flat national park with a dense and tall forest. Instead of mountains there are wooden towers that you climb to get above the canopy. The views are breath-taking. Beaches, boardwalks and lots of animals (all photos were taken from the safety of the inside of a car). If you come in June, bring lots of bug spray.

Prince Albert National Park is a wonderful park for hiking and outdoor activities. The trails are well-maintained and offer a variety of difficulty levels, making it accessible for everyone from beginners to experienced hikers. It's a perfect escape into nature. Highly recommend! ⛰️

Lovely park in the boreal forest. Plenty of hiking trails, good fishing, great boating, canoeing and kayaking opportunities. Not inexpensive to stay in the park’s hotels and cabins.
Ian B — Google review
Being from New Brunswick and living in Saskatoon, it feels like this is the closest reasonable place to spend some time in a forest. There are lots of places to hike, camp, or go out on the water. I have done front and back country camping in the area and always enjoy the peace and relaxation I am afforded. We really enjoy packing a lunch to cook in one of the many shelters in Waskesiu. On our visits up here we have seen lots of different wildlife: moose, deer, chipmunks, and various fish and birds. Bug spray is highly recommended!
Daniel F — Google review
Been there couple of times. Its the best SK has to offer. There is a marina if you like to rent a boat, you can go zip lining, tubing, disk golfing and hiking. There is a decent size beach there. Always a good time there with the friends and family.
Riayad H — Google review
Great facilities with access to nature at reasonable costs. We camped at the Beaver Glen Campground at Waskesiu Lake for 4 nights in their oTentiks. 👍 We visited the narrows Campground and Paignton Beach. We hiked the Boundary Bog trail. So many great things to see and do, we couldn't do then all in our short stay!

Lovely undulating paths – a few very steep. Interesting valley flora, with beaver-dammed pools. Evidence of moose, wolves and/or coyotes.

Lots of red ants in the site and no beach access close to parking to launch SUP's. We were at Riverside in a beautiful site beside the lake. The maps are deceiving as it showed a water outlet between our site and the next. Shower house is also not accurate on the map. Overall decent campground and the ants aren't the fault of the park.

Camped here for several days. It was hot. There is alot to see and do in the area. The bathrooms and showers were very nice and free $$$. Wood was free as well. Be aware when you stay you will be paying a daily fee for your vehicle on top of your camping reservation, weird. Alot of people fishing Lake Definbaker.

Breathtaking views, and exciting adventures! Climbed the big hills till we lost our breath, and then kept going! Definately a destination I would recommend any day! Even if you just go on the hills nearby without going in the park!

We were here only for the day for a new experiment that the park was trying out. A Farmer's Market! We brought along wooden and 3D printed items for sale to the Saturday would have been a much better choice of days to hold such an event in the park, as since we were the first vendors to set up shop at the amphitheater, we sure encountered many more campers arriving at the park as we were departing! We were located at the amphitheater at the Sagebrush Camp Loop. The weather was a scorcher, as it was 33 during the time we departed the park around 6 pm. This was our first experience inside the park. The grounds were cluttered with multiple tree branches, which ended up to be trip hazzards for both us and our camping customers. Sure, I get it that they like to keep the grounds as natural as possible, but the experience we encountered was pathetic, to say the least. I will include some of our photos of the day where you just might be able to see some of the clutter of debris in the background.

Favourite spot to off leash with the dogs. With precautions and care for all others, must respect. They will leash up for company. Do not encourage chasing so watch closely and far for any creatures. Part of the fun of my adventures is keeping it from going south in a porcupine flash. Yes be careful it is not tamed here. And is more glorious because it is not disrespected. Can see ahead of time who is walking with no surprises. Have extremely rewarding heart stealing soul cleansing lung filling scenery walks here. Warm dry air that day can be a cool wind others. Beautiful. Any trash found goes out with us. No fires. None. Leave it thrive.

Narrow Hills Provincial Park, shaped by the last glacial period, boasts dramatic features such as eskers, kettle lakes, and rare boreal forest. With most of its 53,000 acres left wild and minimal tourism infrastructure, the park offers a true wilderness experience. Visitors can start at the park office for maps and recommendations before embarking on the Narrow Hills Scenic Drive. This drive leads through thick forests and opens up to sweeping views over lakes and forests near the top.
It is wonderful place for camping @Lower Fishing Lake. Specially, when you spend family time staying out of network. I was lucky to watch Northern Lights during our camping in 2022, moreover this park is so neat and washrooms are nice and clean. I had so far 2022 & 2023 on the same spot. I would like to go again and again.... 2024 on same spot

We took the scenic drive, it was beautiful but I would strongly recommend a truck with some good brakes suspension and a good driver, there is places to pull of and take photos and if you go into the park about there is a ice cream store. Seniors are free.

Whether you're hiking, fishing, or simply enjoying the tranquility, Narrow Hills Provincial Park is a place where you can truly reconnect with the great outdoors. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the beauty of Saskatchewan's wilderness.

Lower fishing lake campground was immaculate and the escape we needed. Staff were pleasant and the showers were better than most national parks. Will be on our top 5 list for sure. Epic dual-sport motorcycle trails in the area as well. Pack out what you pack in!

Fantastic New wash house at the main campsite. Pre-cut and dry firewood was best we have ever seen at a campsite. Clean facilities, big bins for garbage, great fishing! Lots of lovely walks. The narrow hills scenic drive is a must! Great information at the ranger station at check in. Thoroughly enjoyable adventure!
Sarah S — Google review
Great campground, ample facilities and helpful staff. Always prepare for disruptions to potable water supply and possible fire bans. If kayaking, check out the connecting river at the southwest area of the lake.

This is such a beautiful park, with views and scenery I didn't think were possible in Sask! The campsites were great, hiking and atv trails a-plenty, and clear-blue refreshing water for swimming. We had a great time, would definitely go again. Word to the wise though, bring lots of bug spray, and be prepared for isolation; the park has almost no cell service anywhere (though there are at least payphones).

Super clean service center (washroom, shower). Pre-cut firewood. Very friendly and helpful check in staffs. Great place for walking running and cycling. Wildlife is surrounding. Narrow hills got many wonderful lakes. But there was no cell service.

Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, located just 20 minutes from Moose Jaw, holds historical significance as a former bison hunting ground for Indigenous people. Today, visitors can observe a captive herd of bison roaming the picturesque hills. The park offers well-maintained campgrounds with fire pits and various amenities. Upgrades include a new pool, trails, bathrooms/showers, camping areas, mini-golf, and a store. The staff is known for their friendliness and helpfulness.
One of my favourite provincial parks I’ve ever stayed at. Beautiful campsites, beautiful views, clean facilities and absolutely wonderful staff. Me and my partner stayed there on our way to go tree planting and had great conversations with the young staff working there. We will definitely make sure we stop there on our way out next year. If you ever have the chance to visit, go! (so many prairie dogs, so cute)

Great little find on our western Canada trip. It was just supposed to be a pit stop but it's a great venue. It's very well suited for families with young kids with tons of activities. It has a boat launch,a pool,a mini putt course, a Frisbee golf even an axe throwing activity ! Also play structures and an ice cream shop. Great views of the lake and we spotted what might be future accommodations on site. Oh and pelicans were a surprise! Facilities were modern and clean,we might come back!

I love it here. The campground is great and you can camp right at the edge of the lake. Careful of ticks in the spring but other than that the fishing was great, they had a porta-potty in the early season before the water was working and everyone in the office was very lovely and helpful.

It’s a very serene and peaceful place full of nature beauty. Perfect to just hang out with friends or go for a family Picnic. This place has amazing grass, a lake, mountains that one could hike, washrooms, BBQ stations, sitting benches, pet friendly and a great vibe. I have been here 5 times and would love to go back. I grab Pizza from the nearby Red Swan store located in Moose Jaw since there is nothing available inside to eat. I would also recommend taking some games like Vollyball, Frizbee and cards. I am yet to try the camping experience here. Hope this was useful

Great camp ground. The facilities are very nice and the sites well kept. I like the wheat sheefs on the provincial parks fire pits. A friend figured you could get some of the rotisserie motors to fit in the holes and do a roast over the open fire which is delicious!!! All the park staff are fantastic and you can tell they love what they do. Even the RCMP doing their checks are great to deal with. There are some sites that are better than others as would be expected in any camp ground. We had lots of space for 2 large tents and 2 gazebos in Elk view.

We were on our return to Saskatoon from Regina and stopped there with no expectation. But it was a gem for us. Wonderful view. It has couple of spots near the water. The beach we stopped, was small but full of beauty. The uphills, downhills and the green water completes a full package. One warning…the washroom is closed for the season. So it might be an issue if you have kids as they need frequently. Other than that everything was perfect!!
Nahin S — Google review
Always a good experience at this provincial park! We camped there for the first time this summer and the site was okay because it was slope and we didn’t have enough space to set up our tents. It was clean and washrooms around were well maintained.

We are so disappointed during our family camping this year, we felt like we have been discriminated as immigrants because the workers at the campsite are keep coming to us and told us so many things are prohibited. We know the rules as this is not our first time to camp, we keep coming back here because we like it and it's closer to our home but as we are very upset this time, we will never be coming back here again. You should just make a rules that no Filipinos allowed if the workers are racist.

Moose Mountain Provincial Park is a scenic nature reserve characterized by rolling hills and an expansive trail network. It is anchored by a picturesque lakeside stone chalet visitor center, which unfortunately has limited hours of operation. The park offers visitors the opportunity to take peaceful walks along the shoreline and winding paths while enjoying stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Despite its popularity, Moose Mountain Provincial Park remains pristine thanks to its well-maintained facilities and tranquil atmosphere.

We enjoyed our stay here, we loved the very clean bathrooms and free showers! The park was very clean too. We got a spot by the lake thinking we'd be able to hangout at the shore but it's very weedy, mucky and rocky. The boat launch dock and the beach at the core area are the only nice places by the water. There was also a ton of black flies, like thousands. It was crazy. Also, there was hardly any signage for it, but there is tons of poison ivy around the campsites , especially on the trails that go down to the shore - be careful! I definitely recommend driving to the trail head of 'Birch Forest Trail' it was a beautiful and easy little nature walk with lots to see. We enjoyed our stay here overall.

Stayed at Fish Creek Campground a bit late in the season so the trees were starting to change colour, it was beautiful! The highlight of my stay was the camp host, Larry, and the artist colony! Larry and his dog, Canyon, came to greet me and answer any questions I had about the park my first evening. He also offered me a map, though the lovely young lady who checked me in made sure I had a map also. Every staff member I met was wonderful! The washrooms were clean and well stocked, and the showers were free, hot and clean! I can’t wait to visit again!

Visiting Moose Mountain Provincial Park in Saskatchewan was an unforgettable experience. The breathtaking landscapes, lush greenery, the amazing but maybe overpriced gold course, and diverse wildlife made for an incredible adventure. The trails were well-maintained and offered varying levels of difficulty, catering to both novice hikers and seasoned adventurers. The facilities were clean and well-equipped, making the camping experience comfortable and enjoyable. The park staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing helpful tips and ensuring a safe and pleasant visit for all. Whether you're looking to connect with nature, enjoy outdoor activities, or simply relax in a serene environment, Moose Mountain Provincial Park is the perfect destination. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a rejuvenating escape into nature and a great place to bring kids.

It has been several years since we have been here. We stayed in Fisher Creek, the camping spots are well treed, with lots of free firewood. We also have electric bikes and enjoy touring around the park and the town. It is too bad the water slide park siting in decay, it was an excellent place back in its day.

Great place to spend the day. Lots of things to do in the outdoor. ATV. Hiking, beach n beach inflatable park for the kids, biking, horse back riding tours, etc. I did a 2 hour quad trail. It was awesome all u need is an ATV national park permit valid driver license n liability insurance (if u have a quad).

Lake side campsites are quite small and steep. Hard to level a camper, as well as the path down to the lake but beautiful once your set up. Not big enough to put out our awning, but well sheltered by trees. Perfect for a small group, definitely would go back.👍 Definitely a nice weekend getaway. site 203 fish Creek B

This is our second time at moose mountain provincial park and it was just as nice as the first time. Being a weekday in September, it was quiet with just a few other people. That made it serene and lovely for a walk along the shoreline and down the path. The visitor centre was closed as it's only open Thursday to Sunday but we walked the grounds anyway. The facilities were spotless.

Was beautiful camping in #30... on the other hand ...#60 which I paid for both :/ for 4 days each... #60 WAS NOT a good spot... yes it was electrified but if you like camping by a big ole lamp post where the light is shining on you ALL night long...Do it... but if you prefer something a little more dark find another spot... they wouldn't move us to another spot because we had stayed one night so ended up moving to #30 ...other than the ole light post ...it was great ...unfortunate the pictures on their site doesn't show that though other wise I'd have not spent an extra 130$ on top of the 170$ for the first spot :/

I really enjoyed stopping here for 2 nights. The pitch was good and pretty level with picnic bench & BBQ/Firepit. There are a couple of trails we went walking along and with Merlin, identified so many birds, taking photos of quite a few in the scrubby woodland dotted around the meadows. We did get the downside of this with around a dozen dog ticks, but worth it especially for the birds. The lake was also quite pretty especially the first morning when it was mirror-like. They'd just finished a new wasroom block, which was beautiful, but oddly sparce of toilets, urinals and showers for the huge amount of space. It was like a high end boutique with a lot of floor and not much stuff. The showers were free and hot though. The 2 things I've marked it down for is the ridiculous $11 booking fee (we booked 1 night at Battleford and this added on $11 for that too). If we knew it was relatively empty, we could have avoided it altogether. The other thing is in the Email receipt in the Note section, there was nothing about the fact you cannot enter the site from the south and we came from the south. Google maps took us on a pac man journey around small stoned farm roads with each way to the park blocked and locked by a Parks gate. So we arrived much later than we should have. When we mentioned this to staff at the office on the last morning, they said they couldn't change it as it was run in America. Pfffff to that I thought. Change those and it'd be 5 stars.

Beautiful place, great to spend the day with the family for a picnic/BBQ and a day at the beach. There are very clean and well maintained indoor washroom and shower facilities available. Great spot for camping if you don't want to drive too far. Fishing was not to good as there is too much shrubbery causing the lines to get constantly tangled. Fishing areas could use some improvement. Otherwise a beautiful place to get away from the city buzz.

Batoche National Historic Site offers a captivating glimpse into the late 1800s, when it was a bustling Metis village along the South Saskatchewan River. This historic site commemorates the rich cultural heritage of the Metis people and reflects on their struggles during pivotal events like the Battle of Batoche in 1885, where they faced defeat under Louis Riel's leadership. Visitors can immerse themselves in this significant chapter of Canadian history while exploring its scenic landscapes and learning about traditional Metis customs.
Really great place run by some really lovely people! Loved learning about the history of Batoche and the resistance, as well as meeting some cute little goats! My friend and I met multiple passionate guides and really appreciated the golf cart shuttle to help us get around the site and learn about each of the stops. If you have a chance to get a tour of the church and rectory from Ross (pictured) I would definitely recommend it. He has a lot of knowledge to share and is very engaging!

What a sad but amazing story. I’m so glad that we drove out to see the settlement. Yes, it is small and very spaced out, but you can feel the history as you’re walking around. I would absolutely recommend for people who wanna have a good journey and walk to drive to Batoche to learn about the Métis and indigenous heritage and what they endured.

I visited Batoche National Park as a volunteer for my kids’ school trip. The experience offered a fascinating historical perspective, especially on how trade and daily life were conducted in the past. The staff did a great job bringing history to life through storytelling and demonstrations. Some moments were engaging and fun for the kids, particularly the interactive exhibits, while others were less exciting for their age group. Still, the educational value was clear. Overall, it was an awesome outing that balanced learning and exploration. I would definitely like to return someday, perhaps with a different group of folks, to experience it from a fresh perspective.

Each year we miss the open days because I take my vacation in September. This Is thefirst year we went out and actually were able to see inside the village buildings and have a tour. Wanuskewin is a cultural complex dedicated to honoring the history and artwork of First Nations people. It is built around 21 Northern Plains peoples' pre-contact sites, with a 6,000-year-old archaeological park that is on track to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the next few years. The site offers educational trails, ongoing archaeological digs, an amphitheater for First Nations performances, and free workshops for traditional crafts like drum-making and tipi-building.
Nice place for a walk but probably better in late spring when the snow melts. Although snow is packed on the trail some sections still had very thick icy snow and cumbles in when you step on it so couldn’t really go further in to explore the trails. Spent only 1.5 hours here.

Beautiful building and grounds. Some things didn't seem to be working and the larger gallery was being set up. We really enjoyed the hoop dance presentation. Wish list items. We really liked the logo. I wish there was more merchandise that was special to the site itself or with the logo. Other than some shirts (kids sizes) that were mostly sold out there was nothing more than the usual gift shop items. It would be great if there was additional seating or the museum walking stools available. It would also be amazing if there was a way to tour people with mobility limitations around a few sites along the trails.

Please stop by if you are ever in the area. This beautifully curated Indigenous location is so worth your time! Nestled on the banks of the North Saskatchewan, there is so much to do and see. The indoor displays are stunning and interactive. The walking trails are easy to navigate and very interesting including a buffalo jump and magnificent playground. You could easily spend several hours here. We were there for about 2 hours and didn’t do everything available to us - will definitely go back. The gift store sells authentic Indigenous treasures so bring your pocketbook. I think my favorite artifact was the teepee made from hide and stitched together - stunning!

I recently visited Wanuskewin, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience, even on a cold day! There’s so much to see and do indoors that it turned out to be the perfect winter activity. The guided tour was a highlight—since it was too cold for an outdoor walk, the staff thoughtfully arranged an indoor experience. We learned all about the bison, how every part of the animal was used, and the traditional hunting methods. It was fascinating and so well presented! We also had the chance to see a traditional dance performance, which was beautiful and powerful—a real cultural highlight. The food at the restaurant was great. And the boutique is a gem. Overall, the visit was educational, entertaining, and deeply enriching. The warmth and knowledge of the staff made it an unforgettable experience. Fort Walsh National Historic Site, located just 30 minutes outside of Maple Creek, offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of the northwest mounted police. Visitors can enjoy guided tours and weaponry displays while exploring pine forest trails. The site provides living classroom opportunities where visitors can step back in time to the 1870s and learn about life at a working fort during a lawless period.
Getting here is a bit off the beaten path, with the secondary highway poorly maintained but it is worth the hairpin turns to visit! They have a terrific little museum and informative video. Shuttle ride to the Fort if needed or a nice walk down the road. A historic site that is highly recommended for all those out for adventures and Canadian history.

Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park, home to the renowned Good Spirit Lake, is a top destination in Saskatchewan. The lake boasts sandy beaches and warm, shallow waters free of weeds, making it perfect for families with young children. Visitors of all ages are drawn to its natural sand dunes and the opportunity to hike along the Trans Canada Trail. The park offers spacious electrified campsites with well-located firepits and numerous water taps throughout the campgrounds.
Shallow main beach, well-maintained facilities, has a small sand dunes area, bike/walking path well maintained, has a mini golf and ice cream place that serves snacks. One of the hidden gems in Saskatchewan

Very friendly and present staff at kiosk. Golf course, just outside of the park, should have proper highway signs, but the course was good-the back 9 being more challenging. The park has a store downtown ...and a market store just South of the park for those small grocery items. The electrified sites, mostly have lots of room and majority of them are level, with the firepit in a perfect location. Lots of water taps throughout the campgrounds. Brand new service centre with laundry was so nice with nice pressure and temperature in showers, super clean always, and friendly cleaning staff. The old service centre is a bit dated, but still kept clean! New pavement throughout campgrounds, except non electric. Non electric sites, at Sandy Ridge, would be better changed over to electric or full service, as no one was in them. Besides, they have 10 non electric sites just West of the new service centre that are not marked, that are very private and nice, with, what looks like the option of adding 4-5 more. The beach is fabulous, so clean, and dragged daily...Thank you! Trails...well, the Main Trail is barricaded and closed, even though it shows it on the map. The other trail from the beach to the Lookout is a lovely one, but only is bike friendly part of the way, then it is super soft sand walk, with no signage, until you stumble across a steel expanded mesh ramp on the beach that meanders up the sand dunes to the top. The steel mesh has parts that are covered with sand and overgrown by trees. Definitely, not bike friendly. The view at top, was nice, but one could see it had been nicer years before. There are trails you can walk or bike within the campgrounds that take you downtown or along the shores in heavily treed natural landscapes. Very quiet. Woodpile is easily accessible with lots of wood.

Beautiful quite Park. Big camp sites, newly paved roads. Service centers are clean and have running water, flush toilets and paper towels. A few sites have yurts if you don't have a camper. Nice beach, shallow water. Great for kids. Lots of bike trails

Decent size sites. Nice beach and trail. Both beach and campsites have play areas for kids. Standard washrooms. Annoying that you are charged for a day pass along with the camping site fee.

This is one of the best provincial parks Saskatchewan has to offer. It's well equipped with nice bathrooms, running water, paved roadways (minimizing dust from passing traffic), private campsites, plenty of firewood, a cute mini golf (which is licensed to serve alcohol), concession and best of all: it is dog friendly. There is an off leash dog park area, but most importantly, there is a dog-friendly section of beach on the lake. Other campgrounds would do well to take some pointers from Good Spirit, a campground the staff and guests obviously care a lot about and maintain well. Highly recommend, will definitely return.

Located in the northeastern part of the southern fishing zone, Greenwater Lake Provincial Park is nestled amidst picturesque forested landscapes teeming with wildlife such as elk, moose, deer, and black bear. The park is a haven for anglers seeking pike and walleye, while nearby Steistol Lake offers trout fishing opportunities. Visitors can also enjoy various outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, mountain biking, horseback riding, and canoeing.
Greenwater was highly recommended for our family camping trip. There are great amenities, rentals, tennis and pickleball courts, a nearby golf course, restaurant flush toilets, free showers, potable water, a nice beach area that is raked nightly, big pull through campsites and free firewood. We visited from Winnipeg, which is a bit of a drive (6.5 hours) but worth it for a 4+ night stay. We stayed at the lakeshore campground, and really enjoyed the space! The plan is to return next year!

Beautiful Canada Day Weekend spent here at Greenwater park with our family. Fantastic weather July 1 for an excellent beach day! Water was nice. Beach was clean and sand was kept raked and ready for castles. The lake is really nice for those with paddle boards or kayaks. Even with a bit of a wind the kids could still be out on the water. Great supply of firewood for making meals and visiting by the fire. A really nice weekend.

Love this park, went last year and again this summer. Stayed here a week and always had something to do, they have a new trail that was fantastic to take (very long so bring water). Unfortunately there was a fire ban when I went but every site has it's own fire pit. I have nothing but good things to say about Greenwater.

I went there last year just for a day trip and I loved the place a lot. I am a regular camper/tenter there now. Good water to swim in Great for fishing Nice beach Great picnic area Group campgrounds are linear and don’t really give you the feel of “Group”. Also the activity shed is missing. But the beach area is great to spend time during day. Services are well maintained

The sound of water is quite relaxing. Nice place to visit. One drawback is limited washroom/changing room compared to visitors.

Waskateena Beach is the best beach we visited in Saskatchewan so far. We enjoy it a lot! Very clean water and the sand is white and soft. Kids friendly because of the shallow waters. On the other hand, Sandy Bay campsite has too many big mosquitos! We didn’t enjoy the campsite because of that, we use different kinds of mosquito repellant for no result, even smokes from campfire doesn’t work.

Families can enjoy the fun at Danielson's Inflatable Water Park or relax on its sandy beaches that stretch along miles of shoreline—perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
I recently visited Danielson Provincial Park, and it truly exceeded my expectations! Located along the shores of Lake Diefenbaker, this park offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. The scenic views of the lake are breathtaking, especially during sunrise and sunset, making it an ideal spot for photographers and nature lovers. The park's facilities are well-maintained, with clean campsites and modern amenities that cater to both tent campers and RV enthusiasts. I was impressed with the variety of activities available, from hiking trails with panoramic views to excellent fishing spots. The marina is a great feature for boating and water sports, and the beach area is perfect for a relaxing day by the water. What really stood out to me was the peacefulness of the park. Even during peak season, it never felt overcrowded, allowing for a truly relaxing experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, Danielson Provincial Park is a fantastic destination for anyone looking to escape into nature and enjoy the great outdoors. Clean, shallow, beach area by the visitors center. Beautiful scenery and plenty of space. Restrooms were also roomy and clean. Safety floatation devices (life jackets) for borrow, hanging on the outside of the bathrooms. Place for cookout in the camping space at $11 for the day. Plenty of firewood! I recommend this place for day trip.

First time camping here and the sites were lovely!!! We had a nice private tree enclosure on our site so it felt like our little oasis!!! Even though it rained for 24 hours our first day we still had a blast! Showers were CLEAN and HOT. The Beach area was not the most amazing but there was plenty of room to swim and no WEEDS!!!! Needless to say we were very happy with our short time there!!!

Quiet this time of year. Big spots, good washrooms. Beach for swimming not close by. Beautiful sunsets over the water. Can see the stars, but there are several lights in the campground, so it was a bit bright for that from your campsite. Also dog friendly.

Nice beaches around the lake. The area next to the visitor center may be busy during the season. Has a car parking lot. The areas little deep may be less crowded. No car parking lot. A nearby hydro electric dam may be an another attraction.

Pike Lake Provincial Park, located just 20 minutes from Saskatoon, is a nature lover's paradise. Nestled along the South Saskatchewan River, it offers a range of outdoor activities including swimming at the lake beach and outdoor pool, paddle sports, and a 1-mile hiking trail through groves of aspen, ash and birch trees.
We love this place for short canoe outings close to Saskatoon. You could launch at the boat launch on the west side, but we really enjoy launching at the public beach and heading into the East/Northeast arm of the lake, into the marshy area full of birds and wildlife and very few people (no powerboats in there). It's calm even on windier days, and a lovely getaway.

The double camp sites and 40 year plus BBQ grills is why I wouldn't go back. Couldn't have a camp fire without starting a forest fire. Visitors can explore the historic district with beautifully preserved buildings showcasing various architectural styles.
The Chicago Tour was so great. Brenton (Gus) and Frankie (Connor) were so entertaining. From not breaking character, to the lingo, to the costumes and accents —- top notch, really! And I have done some impressive tours (including a Safari and The Crown Jewels) and would honestly say this is a top ten!!! Particularly Brenton, who we found out was brand new and that today was his first shift!!! Highly, highly recommend a visit to Moose Jaw to enjoy this awesome place as well as a few other cool spots in town. We were pleasantly surprised by the history and culture here!!!!

I did the Chicago Connection tour at the Tunnels of Moose Jaw and absolutely loved it. The experience was incredibly immersive—the actors were fantastic and really brought the Prohibition-era story to life. I felt like I had stepped into the 1920s, complete with shady deals, hidden passageways, and gangster intrigue. The set design, storytelling, and energy made it both fun and educational. It gave me a whole new appreciation for Moose Jaw’s colorful history and its legendary ties to organized crime. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting the city—especially if you enjoy interactive history with a bit of drama and mystery!
Abdullah S — Google review
This is a great place to visit! The tour lasts about an hour and takes you through a fascinating story filled with adventure and mystery. The spaces are beautifully adapted to reflect the era. We did the Chicago Connection tour, and our only suggestion would be that the female guide toned down her performance a bit, she tended to overact and raise her voice more than necessary. Aside from that, it was a wonderful experience and definitely a great activity to do.
Majo R — Google review
A must-visit experience! We thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The cast did a phenomenal job portraying the story—it truly transported us into the real scenario.

We didn't have any idea what to expect but my husband and I loved every minute of it! We did the Chicago Connection Tour, learning about Al Capone and bootlegging during the prohibition. We definitely recommend The Tunnels of Moose Jaw Tours!!

Did the Chicago Connection tour. Not what I expected, but I really enjoyed it. It’s like being inside a play. Actors did a great job. Wish I was able to see more of the tunnels. Nice gift section inside.
Beth — Google review
Went on the Chicago tour a few years ago and had a lovely time with my friends. The actors were lovely, funny, and was an overall good experience. I had the pleasure of going on the other two tours offered a few days ago. The passage tour was by far the better one. I forgot his name, it starts with a D, but he delivered his role well and was able to convey the sad but realistic history of Chinese immigrants back in the day. The bunker tour was just alright, I felt the information was too much at one time but the actresses were good and funny at times. I recommend the tunnels to anyone passing through Moose Jaw or if you're a local like me! Definitely bring friends as more people make the experience worth while.

The RCMP Heritage Centre, located in Regina, Saskatchewan, is a museum operated by the non-profit Mounted Police Heritage Centre organization. It showcases the history of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) through exhibits, multimedia presentations, and programs. The main exhibit covers the founding of the RCMP in 1873 and its role in establishing law and order in Canada's west and protecting its north.
Beautiful museum with lots of history and artifacts. The space is beautifully designed and the store near the entrance has a wide selection of Mountie memorabilia and gifts ... it's also not for profit. The staff are genuinely friendly and easy to chat with to learn more about the facility and the history of the RCMP. The RCMP Heritage Centre must definitely be a stop on everyone's Regina visit.
Sam J — Google review
It's a small little "museum" to showcase the RCMP's history. It is not worth a detour but if you're around the area, it doesn't hurt stopping by to check it out. The exhibits are a bit dated and the interactive elements are really just meant for kids. I think the entrance fee is a bit too much for what it is. The gift shop is great though, it has more RCMP related/themed merchandise than any other places.
Pak C — Google review
The RCMP Heritage Centre was truly impressive, offering a fresh and thought-provoking perspective on Indigenous–RCMP relations during the early years of settlement. The exhibits were well-curated, with great displays and an abundance of historic memorabilia that brought the past to life in vivid detail. Unfortunately, a recent storm led to the cancellation of the Trolley Heritage Tour, which we had been looking forward to. It would have given us a unique opportunity to witness the cadets' cavalry drill—a glimpse into the ceremonial traditions that continue to shape the RCMP's legacy.
Elain H — Google review
It is a very historic history museum I really like the Outside of the RCMP heritage Centre with the very open window design and a life size horse in front of the museum. My favourite part of the museum would be the RCMP car game that you can drive and sit inside of it. So much history of the museum of the First Nations and the old RCMP cars and their medals on the wall. I enjoyed the gift shop that offered everything RCMP related and this place has a lot of places to sit down but can get busy from tourists walking around. and relax, it’s definitely worth a visit!

A perfect blend of Science, Marine Biology and First Nation History one can find at this place. The two storey building displays wide range of prairie animals, birds and unknown facts about Dinosaurs and theory of their extinction. A place filled with so much knowledge and appreciation about this grasslands and their importance in our ecological I system. Key Notes : 1. Advanced booking won't be necessary as the front end staff are super helpful and respectful. 2. Entry hall has a coat room as well as rest rooms for adults and kids. 3. Ground floor covers a giant dinosaur skeleton and ways in past wherein First Nation people shared special bond with the animals and their seasonal food options. 4. The Museum preserves the aged foundational history of Canada. A combination of written, pictorial, trades, communal life, regions, animals and the people etc. The people lived very simple lives guarded and guided by their beliefs some of which are obedience, trust, care, shared knowledge etc. it's beautiful place for the entire family to visit. I wasn't able to mop up 70% whilst there, so I'll plan another visit soon. The staff were courteous. The environment was peaceful and just across the Museum, there is a big park with a water front.

The big draw for us was Scotty the world’s largest TRex skeleton. The had some beautiful dioramas, the displays were great and engaging. Some were interactive and the kiddos loved those ones. They learnt so much about the different types of birds and the sounds they make. Definitely worth the visit. 💛

Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo is a picturesque destination that offers a blend of natural beauty and wildlife encounters. The park features an array of mammals, reptiles, birds, and insects, making it an ideal spot for animal enthusiasts. Families can also enjoy the woodland-themed playground with various attractions like slides, climbing rocks, and a boat for imaginative play. The park's wide paved walking paths are stroller-friendly and safe for children to explore.
I visited the zoo during my trip to Saskatoon, and it turned out to be an enjoyable stop. There was a variety of animals to see and different spots to explore. One of the highlights was the butterfly exhibit-I had never been to one before and to see them so close. The surrounding park area was also a nice visit. I enjoyed going for a walk through the area and seeing the gardens and flowers after seeing the animals. Overall, it was a great way to spend an afternoon and worth checking out if you’re in the area.
Patricia L — Google review
A great way to spend a day out! Cheap admission, loved the train ride, the ringtailed lemurs and the butterfly pavilion were our favorites. (Wear bright colors and sweet scents and they may land on you!) The animals seem very well cared for. There is a request for donations to expand the bear enclosure, and I can see why—poor dude was circling the tree the whole time. The staff want to improve their quality of life and have clearly done the best they can, with things like the swimming hole and ball toy, so I feel comfortable supporting them so they can succeed. I hope they get the donations they need.

I love this place for my grandchildren, It's a small zoo but perfect for little legs. The best time to visit in the morning before it gets too hot. Although it is a place to see animals, I really enjoyed the flowers.
Paula H — Google review
The Saskatoon Forestry Farm & Zoo is quite different from a typical zoo experience. While the number of animals is smaller compared to larger zoos, the grounds cover a vast area and offer a lot to explore. Riding the train around the park was a fun way to see everything. The natural forested surroundings are beautiful and make the visit enjoyable and relaxing. A great place to spend time outdoors with family.

The park also provides fat bike rentals and features high ropes courses and a treetop drop at its Cypress Hills location.
Incredible experience on July 17, 2023 We went there without any reservations but got lucky and found the spots immediately. Our instructors Carlos and Claire were throughly professional and friendly. Safety procedures were explained at the beginning of zip line and bridge climbing. There wad 7 zip lines and three bridges which took 1.5 hours in total to finish. Cost was $95 per person which we thought was reasonable. Our experience made special by Carlos and Claire who continuously engaged in conversation with us too make first time users calm. Suggestion to improve 1. Pictures quality not good. 2. They must arrange videography to record the experience. It may be costly but they can sell the video package separately. I suggest putting good quality camera at the platform when leaving and arriving, not on all seven zips but couple of them. But all in all we loved the experience and strongly recommend to all. Go Enjoy!!

On Tuesday, July 15, 3 of our granddaughters, aged 8, 9, and 10, and myself took the treeosix adventure. The girls had a blast and so did I. The 2 guides, Mannix and Jesse were absolutely wonderful ensuring our safety and making us all laugh. This adventure totally exceeded my expectations. 10/10.

It was my first time (August 2025) at Tree-O-Six, we had two fabulous guides Cadence and Dylan. They made the day a lot of fun. We felt really safe, they were very professional. I would highly recommend it.

Tuesday, August 5th 2025. Cadence and Dylan were wonderful guides! We had the best time despite the rain. They had lots of funny jokes and had us laughing the whole time. They were very kind to us when we had a few in our group who were scared to zip line since it was there first time.

This is a wonderful experience in the Waskesui area. Cadence and Dylan were great tour guides. I highly recommend for a family experience (was awesome seeing my son working in action, loving what he does as a tour guide!).

We had a great day of ziplining! Our guides were Claire and Sven and they were amazing, funny, and capable. We felt very safe, laughed a ton, and had a blast. Guides like them make you want to come back, as well as to tell all your friends to check out Treeosix. Thanks again for a wonderful afternoon Claire and Sven!
Ryan H — Google review
Every summer, I take my kids ziplining and this year we went to treeosix. The location was easy to find and checking in was simple. They had bathrooms on site and recommended using them beforehand. They weighted each person before starting and then provided a safe place for valuables. The tour guides helped fit everyone in harnesses and then we took a group photo. We were with another small group so I would have liked to get a pic with just my family but had put my phone away with the valuables. Next time I would take my phone with and make sure I have a zip pocket. There are 7 lines and they were all really fun. The guides gave ideas on how to position yourself. They were great with kids, and we had a really fun time. We also did the giant swing which both kids highly enjoyed. We did a day trip from Saskatoon but I would recommend staying overnight.

AMAZING exhibit on the top floor by Shelley Nori. I was absolutely enthralled by it. Visiting soon? I strongly encourage you to check it out, it’s the entire top floor. Some exhibits had some spectacular paintings, whereas some were just…modern art if you know what I mean. 😅 Explore the whole thing, give yourself 1.5 hours at LEAST. That’s if you’re someone like me and you like to try and see every art piece. You’ll find some stuff you love for sure. Gift shop is random and expensive but definitely pretty and curated, I’d say it’s a LOT of art supplies. Admission is by donation for 18+ and free for 18 and under, and parking can be tricky downtown but it’s worth it. Overall, I absolutely loved this art gallery. Feels like a gorgeous gem in the middle of the prairies :)

Remai Modern is a cozy and quiet place where you can walk through and take time to reflect on your day, your ideas, your life, and more. Admission is free, and if you enjoy your visit, you can easily make a donation by cash or debit card. On the second floor, there’s a beautiful long hallway where you can pause to look out at the river and enjoy the amazing views. You’ll also find many modern art galleries filled with paintings, photography, short films, and other visual art. I highly recommend everyone to visit Remai Modern and spend a few hours in this wonderful place.

This is a nice museum. Their focus is indigenous artists and other modern artists. I like how it is not too big that you feel like you are running through the whole museum. You can take your time and immerse yourself in the artworks. We came during the week and it was nice and quiet with a few groups of elementary kids doing the tour.

A very interesting place to visit! There is a large collection of art to view from local artists to international collections as well. It is a very cool place to check out if you're just looking to clear your mind and spend some time in a different atmosphere. The art pieces all around the museum were beautiful!

I was at Remai this past weekend for my niece's wedding there. I **highly recommend** this place for such an event. All staff, from start to finish, in every aspect were amazingly wonderful and kind. Set up/take down/food/bar/security/and every position behind the scenes. They all knew customer service, and exceeded what they needed to do when we encountered hiccups (of our own issues, not Remai's) to keep things stress-free for us. As well, the food was delicious! If you want a site with a great backdrop view do check out this venue, you will not be disappointed!

Tons of space for recreation, areas for bird watching and even a canoe rental place on the river. One of the main attractions is the Sand Dunes Trail, which provides stunning views of mesmerizing dunes that are perfect for photo opportunities. My family and I went here last weekend. One of the best campsites! Staffs are super nice from then front desk, rangers, janitors etc.. the service is superb! Also the washrooms are super clean! It looks like they clean the washroom every 15mins. We’ll definitely go back! 💯 Also the ice cream is so good! The people there are also very nice!

My first visit to Canada and my friend brought me out to the Sand Dunes for a hike. Super beautiful, well maintained, quiet, and thoroughly enjoyable. We did the short route which was about 2 miles in and 2 back out, depending on how far into the Dunes you go. We brought a little lunch and blanket to sit and have lunch after. Would def recommend!

Excellent Provincial Park near Saskatoon. They have great campgrounds and very fascinating Sand Dunes. We went there for May long weekend a did camping for one night. The campground is great. Toilets and showers area was clean. They had logs for making fire. There are not many trails except the lengthier Sand Dunes Trail which is fantastic. Tou will end up seeing mesmerizing dunes and it's a great place to take pictures as well.

Always a great experience to stay at this campground. We don't even have a favourite site, almost all are great. We love that there is a (very good) concession for food, ice cream etc and camping/fishing supplies. Lake Diefenbaker is very clear and you can walk in far. There are beautiful walking trails, we finally did the Juniper trail on the other side of the road. At dusk we often go watch the sunset or look for deer near the campground. Never a dull moment!
Marlies W — Google review
Very lovely sand beach. It has the most private comping sites. Most of the sites are filled and covered by trees. There is store by the beach. It have many beaches, I personally prefer the sandy beach that you have to walk a bit to get there as well as the beach by boat launch. It has a clean water to swim. The only issue might be washrooms that are that clean and the showers which aren't that many and you have to walk to get there.
Kourosh M — Google review
I love all aspects of this park, but you must visit the sand dunes. What a wonderful experience. After a twenty minute walk on the trail, which has plenty of trees and cactus, the sand dunes stretch out before you like a mirage. And remember, after a hot walk to the dunes, make your way to Lake Diefenbaker for a swim in the nicest lake in the province.

Highly recommend visiting this piece of history! We learn something new each time we visit as each tour guide has a different fun fact to share. Great for families, couples or solo. This farm homestead has animals on site (horses, chickens, pigs, cows and sometimes sheep), a garden, kids activities/playground and you get to walk through the historic stone house and other buildings on site. I expected this places to be much like similar historical sites that I've visited. And it had abundant historical artifacts, signage for historical highlights, a well-run visitors center and even a cafe. But it had something more. The grounds and the buildings unexpectedly filled me with a deep feeling of peace. Out in the middle of nowhere, a family created this little slice of warmth and charm and contentment. The staff that run and maintain it do an amazing job of carrying on that tradition.

What a place !!! It was like a fairly tale story. From the time you enter, you reach a different world. You traveled back many years ago and see an amazing lifestyle of a man who made a difference. This is not recommended to all of you. People who like history and would love to appreciate even the single tiny innovations they made would find this so attractive. I prefer to go again. It's a great place.

Visitors can explore artifacts related to the Poundmaker Cree Nation at the nearby Chief Poundmaker Historical Centre and learn about the Willow Cree First Nation, Metis, and Pioneer cultures.
Wonderful museum. A goldmine of local prairie history. The pioneer days of white settlers in Saskatchewan. The legendary Louis Riel & Gabriel Dumont days of rebellion. Great artifacts! So much Canadian history to learn. The tower offers great views in all directions. A great stop for anyone interested in the struggle of the Métis and First Nations population who were the indigenous people of the prairies.

It was such a valuable experience that brought me closer to understanding and appreciating their rich heritage. I feel so lucky to have been a part of this enlightening journey, and it's definitely taken me one step closer to the wonderful community here. Once again, a big shout-out to everyone involved in making the Duck Lake Regional Interpretive Centre such a fantastic place. Super cute museum with a great gift shop. There is a staircase that takes you to the observation tower. I had a difficult time climbing it due to my fear of heights, but it was worth it. The gift shop employees seemed confused about their job, but that’s fine. Still a nice time. Recommend stopping in at least once.

I was able to take a step back in time at the Duck Lake Regional Interpretive Centre. There is a small fee to enter. I love how the displays are set up and there are First Nations, Métis and settler interpretations. I was sad to hear that the DLRIT was flooded this spring so please come out and support this place! Some of the displays were very close to my heart. The interpreter was friendly and knowledgeable about the local history. There is a small gift shop filled with works from local artisans. The only downfall was that the washroom was not clean.

Deer Park Golf Course, situated on the west side of Yorkton, is a beautifully maintained municipal course that offers an enjoyable golfing experience. The clubhouse boasts stunning design and immaculate facilities. While some visitors found the greens to be lacking in quality, others praised the challenging nature of the course and its well-kept condition. Additionally, the Owls Nest at Deer Park serves delicious meals, making it a great spot for lunch or dinner after a round of golf.
The course, clubhouse, and staff are all excellent! I was in a pinch and needed my clubs re-gripped, and Alan Sauser greeted me with a smile and gave helpful advice. My clubs were in rough shape, but after Alan was done with them they felt brand new. Fantastic service all around!

We came here on a cloudy day, obviously it drizzled so that was no fun. The club house was immaculate, very well designed and stunning conceptually. We rented a cart and did the first nine holes. We enjoyed ourselves, and the price was comparable to most golf courses I would say. I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the greens though, for the way the club house looked it really made us feel like it would be a very high end course. In the end we still had fun, we would return but it isn’t as well kept as other courses nearby. Maybe it was just the start of the season, will update if and when we return. Good course though as far as challenge goes. Despite the proximity to the highway at some points and the risk haha.

We love coming here. It's a great beach and has many private picnic areas. It is awesome for kids. There is a nice play area and large public bathrooms. My only complaint is that there is no longer as much shade on the beach because several of the large trees were cut down.
Robyn J — Google review
Peaceful and fun-filled, year round fun! Both public and private beach areas include plenty of parking and local conveniences. Also affords fishing points and boat dock, play structure and public bathrooms, all season walking and/or ski trails, plus more. Park is maintained year round

Beautiful beach with all the facilities. Beach is super clean and is maintained regularly. Clean water and good to have a quick bath and back. You can have your jet ski, boat or fishing equipments. A place for a superb gathering and picnics. It's one of the best beaches in Saskatchewan.

Little Red River Park in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan offers over 30 km of hiking trails and a notable attraction is the Swinging Bridge that spans the Little Red River. The park has recently undergone improvements including a new playground and renovated lodge for the ski hills. Visitors can look forward to winter activities such as cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and sliding down the expanded hill. In summer, it's an ideal spot for camping or exploration.
This playground is a true paradise for children! The wide variety of swings, slides, and interactive zones ensures that every child finds something they love. Safety is a top priority here, with soft surfaces and well-designed play areas providing peace of mind for parents. The picnic area next to the playground creates the perfect spot for family relaxation. Visiting this playground always leaves unforgettable impressions!

We grabbed pizza and came to the park to break up our drive. Lots of picnic tables and an epic park. Climbing structures, zip line, and something near 20 swings. Thank you City of PA, this is really nice!
Michael K — Google review
KIds spotted this playground when we were passing on the way to the lake and asked 100 times if we can stop on our way home. We did, and spent hours there. This is the best playground I have been to in western Canada. We had so much fun here, we will be going back again. You must look at the pictures as the equipment is amazing, the playground park is next to a flowing river, metal bridge, picnic areas and so much more. This place needs to be added as a must see in Prince Albert, SK.

Close to city. Small and lovely peaceful park for families to enjoy. Hiking trails with new playground. Unfortunate they closed the back section which was my favorite.

Great in the winter for skiing and a fun spot for day hikes with the family. Beautiful playground at one end and loads of trails throughout the park

Love love love little red! Prince Albert's own little enchanted forest. Have been coming here my whole life and will continue to do so until I am no longer here. ❤️💗❤️ Has something for everyone, for every season.

I love the work they're putting in at little red river park! New playground, as you can see in the video. The old lodge got a new and fresh look for the ski hills. I really hope that a big mound of dirt is going to be used to make the sliding hill even bigger. Now, that would be a cool addition for this winter. I can't wait to come out here and do some cross-country skiing, maybe try snowboarding, and to go sliding with my kids. One day, I want to teach either both or one of my kids how to cross country ski. I remember coming here as a kid to go sliding, have wiener roasts, and just hang out with friends. I'm really excited to have a vehicle, and now I can take my kids to try the restaurant their and a little quality family time together. Great job to whomever is responsible for the upgrades to the park. I hope to see more people out and enjoy the good things they have to offer. Just wanted to add how beautiful the new adventure park is and what a big turnout there is with people. Great addition to little red. My kid is having the time of his life, as am I having fun.

Beautiful park with great amenities! My only comment would be that the trails could be a little better marked.

The Crooked Bush, located in northwest Saskatchewan, is a unique natural wonder featuring twisted trees that create an otherworldly atmosphere. This site is known for its peaceful and serene ambiance, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers. The forest is home to various tree species such as spruce, pine, birch, and aspen, offering stunning views throughout the year. Visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of the greenery during summer and enjoy the golden hues of autumn.
The crooked Bush, or crooked tree, was a very special experience. Experience. As folks have said, the pathway is worn, but that is nature. I have a bit of a walking disability and I was able to make it to the innermost area using just my crutch. My friend scouted ahead and we decided to go back the way we had came. I probably could have made it, but it would have been difficult. The day we arrived, which was late mid-summer, had very many mosquitoes! I advise putting on repellent before arriving at this destination. You do not want to discharge wildlife by applying at the scene. Mosquitoes are part of nature, so if you can't handle them, then it might not be for you. Unfortunately some folks had carved into some of this amazing life form and that was very disheartening. Please do not do that. Have some respect.

A natural phenomenon in Saskatchewan, Crooked Bush is a mysterious grove of twisted and contorted aspen trees located near Hafford. Unlike typical aspens that grow straight, these trees bend, spiral, and twist in eerie, unnatural shapes, creating a haunting yet fascinating landscape. Scientists speculate that a genetic mutation causes this bizarre growth pattern, making it one of Canada’s most unique natural attractions. Visitors can explore the boardwalk trail through the grove, experiencing the otherworldly atmosphere that has sparked local legends and ghost stories.
John S — Google review
An interesting mystery 16 km off the highway 52km east of North Battleford. There is a small blue provincial tourism sign that is easy to miss that tells where to turn - yes we missed it and had to go back another day! 16km north and 2 km east on gravel roads coming from NB and there is a small copse of trees with a driving loop around them nestled between canola and alfalfa fields. The trees are bent/crooked, yet healthy for no apparent reason. There is no information there and it isn’t maintained at all. The grass to the very broken boardwalk was half way up your leg and the mosquitos are plentiful as the breeze does not permeate the inner tree walk. We did the walk but hustled to avoid being eaten alive but not so fast as to fall on broken wood or missing walkway. There is a cute little outdoor privy, a picnic table and a garbage can. Worth checking out if on your way somewhere. Not really worth a specific trip.
Laurie M — Google review
Very interesting place to visit. Definitely gives you the heebie jeebies but worth the trip to see first hand the bizarre growth. Please be careful if you venture into the site as the paths are in desperate need of repair. Enter at your own risk!
Jennifer D — Google review
The trees are really cool, but it's a tiny patch with a very rough board walk.
Nicole W — Google review
Nice little piece of Saskatchewan, they have 1 picnic table , the walking path is a bit uneven so if you require assistance walking not the best place to visit, the trees are beautiful, nice drive out and there are signs posted before arriving that guide you to where the crooked bush is. 🙂
Ashley — Google review
I was so disappointed in the Crooked Trees today. I brought family fro Toronto to see these. The last time I was there, the walkways were clear and open. Today you had to find your own path because the walkways were either rotten or not there. Such a disappointment. The bush and trees neeed a trim and 90% of the walk way needs to be addressed immediately or stop people from going there! I had elderly people there and one was partially blind. Not safe at all!!!
Tracey M — Google review
Follow the signs, the GPS will take you from a blocked road and you'll have to turn back Has a small picnic table and a garbage can. Worth checking out if on your way somewhere. Not really worth a specific trip.

These people were awesome. They went over and beyond to help us out and make our day better. This is our first boat and we ran out of fuel just outside the marina and were not able to dock. They came and towed us in filled us up. But after that we were not able to get it started. This gentleman came and helped us get it going and was really helpful. The lady with him was kind and really nice to deal with. I was really happy they offered on water fuel services. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is out there.

Great Sand Hills is a unique desert-like destination in Saskatchewan, Canada. It offers a picturesque scene with vast blue skies and white sand dunes, creating an unparalleled experience in the province. Located near the small town of Spectre, it's open to the public for exploration. Visitors can enjoy climbing the sand hills and discovering cactuses, tiny bones, and cow prints. However, it's important to note that vehicles must stay on designated roads and camping or fires are not permitted.
Unique place, didn't think there is a place like this in canada. Be careful while driving in and out, and watch out for wildlife and shady people(not to worry too much), but be aware of your surroundings.
Melvyn J — Google review
A hidden natural wonder in southwestern Saskatchewan, the Great Sand Hills feature vast, rolling sand dunes that stretch across 1,900 square kilometers. These ever-shifting dunes, shaped by wind over thousands of years, create a surreal desert-like landscape in the heart of the prairies. Home to unique wildlife, rare plants, and free-roaming deer, the area offers opportunities for hiking, photography, and sand dune exploration. With its remote beauty and quiet solitude, the Great Sand Hills provide a one-of-a-kind experience for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
John S — Google review
Me and my children went to the Saskatchewan Great Sand Hill Dunes. It was difficult to get to this area, and we had to use Google Maps to ensure that we didn't get lost. It was gravel roads and actually as you got closer to the sand dunes it was not a gravel road and just a dirt path so I would not recommend going if it has been raining and you don't have a 4 by 4 type vehicle. I was driving a car that has front wheel drive and was fine to make it out on the road, and it was still drivable. Once you get to the location, they have signs that give you more details about the Great Sand Hills. The first dune that you see is amazing, and once you're up on it, it looks like you're in the middle of a desert. But if you actually look around it, it has a lot of vegetation. I did very much enjoy the scenery, and I would say everyone should check out this place at least once, especially if you live in Saskatchewan.
Terra B — Google review
Lots of walking and some uphill but so worth it. Wouldn't advise going on a rainy day probably have a difficult time on road. Sand is ivory colour and super fine not gritty at all.
Lori B — Google review
Fantastic! Super soft sand. Walked around barefoot. Saw some deer. Had a great time sand sledding with cheap saucer sleds. Sleds work on steepest side but be carful of the thorn bushes at the bottom. Coming up from the south, the road was difficult, uneven shifting sand. The road between and hills and leader/sceptre is better. Wouldn't try driving to the hills after a rainfall.
Sarah R — Google review
Such a beautiful spot, DEFINITELY worth the visit. We drove out here on the long weekend (4.5 hours one-way) just to visit somewhere new for fun and it was so worth it! Spent 4 hours just hanging out on the dunes and having a blast. Here is a comprehensive list of things we learned and everyone should know before visiting: Pack as if for the lake, bring sunscreen, sandals and NOT shoes, and dress for warm weather. We were there in +22 and the sand was hot and we definitely were grateful for our shorts/t-shirts/dresses and sunscreen. For kids I highly recommend bringing buckets and shovels and sand castle toys, their sandals, wipes to soothe their eyes when sand gets in them, and bubbles for extra fun. There is hardly any cell service and no bathrooms (bring toilet paper or a kids potty if needed). There are no amenities so pack plenty of water. If you bring a picnic (super fun), beware that there will be gusts that suddenly blow sand into your food, so cover containers and eat with your back to the wind. Drive in from Spectre instead of Prelate because the road is much better (beware that it is about 20 minutes of gravel either way). Wear footwear on anywhere there isn't pure sand; my sister stepped on a barbed cactus. There are three big dunes, the closest is still quite a walk from the parking lot, so consider that when packing so you can easily carry your stuff to the dunes. I also recommend a backpack that closes so you don't get sand all over your water bottles and cameras and such. I don't recommend bringing babies, the blowing sand would really bother them. My toddler loved it though, but I recommend bringing a hooded sweatshirt for them - when the gusts came my boy learned to turn his back to the wind, put his hood up, and put his face in his shirt until it passed. When they're only a few feet tall, the blowing sand really bothers them. On the way home, there is an excellent ice cream store in Leader, SK right by the highway turn off called The Big 10-4. Hope that helps you all! Definitely such an enchanting place to visit here in Saskatchewan.

A super cool desert experience in Saskatchewan! A short drive from the small town of Spectre. The Great Sand Hills are located on private land, but is open to the public. It has no cost, vehicles must remain on the roads and in the parking lot. No off road vehicles, camping or fires are allowed. There are also no bathrooms or garbage cans. The sand hills themselves are very neat and fun to climb. You can find cactuses, tiny bones and cow prints. Definitely worth visiting!
