Bistro
Nestled in a quiet corner of Patricia Street, The Raven Bistro is an upscale and intimate dining spot with modern artistic decor. This cozy gem offers a fusion of Mediterranean cuisine using locally sourced seafood, beef, pork, and game. Their menu features creative dishes like the seafood pot simmered in a flavorful broth and served over sweet-potato noodles with Asian vegetables. The bistro also surprises guests with delicious vegan and gluten-free options like the chocolate-pecan tart.
It was so good, we went there twice during our three day stay in Jasper. The staff is super friendly and courteous. The menu differs on midday and dinner time. But stays delicious! The Schnitzel and salmon were perfectly done. Crunchy and smooth at the same time. The curry dip which goes with the yam fries was my personal favourite. I could have eaten way more of that tasty dip. I also have to acknowledge the variation of gluten-free options. My sister never had any problems with the food afterwards. Besides the gluten-free dishes they also have vegetarian options. I definitely recommend eating at the Raven Bistro!

Tasty and unusual meal - though the meat dishes looked great, we went vegetarian tonight. Started with the warm Muhammara, a slightly spicy red pepper based dip with soft pita - perfect with a cold crisp beer. One entree was the Root Vegetable Gratin, a hearty layering of beets, carrots, sweet potatoes and more, baked, with a light creamy sauce and nice side salad. Second entree was La Pastilla, a phyllo-wrapped variety of Middle-Eastern-spiced vegetables on a tomato-chili chutney - delicious, and large enough to bring home leftovers. Erica was charming, helpful with food and wildlife-spotting recommendations. Really want to come back for the Three Pharaohs- three meat dishes that looked amazing.

Locally owned and operated, make a reservation because you don’t want to miss this gem in Jasper. Let’s start with atmosphere. Calm, lovely, classy, clean, friendly.. Service- Excellent- Food -I could write a full description about each dish my friends ate - because the food was beautiful (and yes, food can be beautiful). I ate the ribs and they were outstanding!! So was the pasta, and the salad, and the whole table raved about flavors and taste. I always check the bathroom and it did not disappoint - clean and classy. (If you are in a wheel chair or have trouble walking you might want take out as it wasn’t very mobility friendly) Make a reservation if you want to eat here. I’m sure you can stop by and try but this is also a local favorite so it’s often busy! Final word 10/Yummmmmmm.
Sherry D — Google review
The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was excellent, making for an enjoyable visit. However, I found the food didn't quite live up to the price. The ribs, for instance, were a bit dry on the inside, and their flavor mainly came from a light BBQ sauce. I was hoping for a richer flavor profile - maybe some marinade or smoky elements - to enhance the taste. It was a pleasant experience overall, but I wouldn't say it's enough to make me eager to return again.
Rob W — Google review
Enjoyed a lovely alfresco meal after a long day of driving. I was up for anything edible and the food turned out splendid. To start, the Spanish chicken wings had a nice spicy kick that paired beautifully with the super sweet caramelized onions. We weren’t sure what to expect from the bison ribs, but they were surprisingly tender and the accompanying sauce was full of flavor. The seafood pot was also tasty, though I wish there was more rice to soak up the delicious sauce. The salad was fresh and vibrant. Many of the dishes had bright citrus notes which went perfectly with our sangria and helped make it a perfect summer evening.
Kingramen — Google review
The Raven is probably the hottest ticket in town at the moment given the number of groups that were turned away without a reservation, and it certainly lives up to the hype. Food was inventive, sensibly used local ingredients and was very well prepared - the lamb in the three meats platter was particularly excellent as we do not normally like lamb but on this occasion its pungency was well-balanced with the char on the patty and the mint sauce. Service was also warm and attentive. Would strongly recommend.
John L — Google review
After a day of hiking and researching restaurants, we opted for The Raven and what a great decision it was! The white sangria was excellent. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and our server Clarissa was wonderful, cheery and attentive. We shared nachos, falafel and wings to start. All were wonderful and the entrees weren’t rushed out. The entrees were 2 burgers and a salad with salmon on top…also all outstanding. Definitely a place I’d recommend and come back to.

Great experience at The Raven ! Food was delicious, very nice atmosphere for lunch / dinner. Our server was awesome, very kind and warm person. We got the Elk Reuban and G.O.A.T Burger for lunch and were very satisfied. The salmon soup and prawn flatbread were also awesome. The prawn flatbread is a great appetizer!

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in a small mountain town, Fiddle River Restaurant offers a rustic-themed dining experience with stunning mountain views. The upscale menu features responsibly sourced Canadian seafood like crab, cod, salmon, and lobster, as well as game meats such as wild boar and elk. Diners can savor signature dishes like Earl Grey smoked candied salmon and braised elk stroganoff while enjoying the picturesque surroundings from the second-floor dining room.
It is a great experience to dine in this restaurant. I didnt reserve my book beforehand n i requested a table by window. The lady welcomed us was so friendly n did give me a table by the window which made us cheerful. Then we were served by a pretty lady and her name is Kea. Her service overall was perfect n made u feel so comfortable to dine in this restaurant. (NB:Some other Canadian restaurants just make u so stressful to dine in.) We ordered mussels , seafood soup and snapper. They are delicious! I strongly recommend this beautiful restaurant n hopefully u can be served by Kea. She is friendly n sincere overall!!

The food was exceptional! I had the seafood chowder and my husband had the seafood risotto. The food was fresh, creamy and bursting with flavour. The service was friendly, fast and our server checked on us many times and refilled our drinks. I would highly recommend. I also loved the artwork on the walls by a local artist.

Right across the Jasper train station for all your Rocky Mountaineering customers is a restaurant offers a wonderful variety of seafood paired with an amazing view of Jasper. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the staff did a great job accommodating our party of seven. We started with the fried calamari and shrimp appetizer, which was crisp and flavorful. For the main course, we shared the Fiddle Fish Pot—a delicious combination of salmon, snapper, prawns, mussels, and clams simmered in a tomato, saffron, and fennel coconut broth, served with French lentil coconut rice. It was rich, fragrant, and beautifully prepared. The rest of our group enjoyed the salmon, chicken breast, and pork chop, all of which were well-cooked and nicely presented. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for dinner in Jasper—great food, welcoming service, and views that make the experience even more special.

To get to the restaurant there are a few flights of stairs. Unless there’s an elevator, I Didn’t see any wheelchair access. The Wait to be seated was very short. There were only a few other patrons inside. Ordered Two small shares for lunch, which were brought to the table shortly after. I don’t think the waitress was happy we only had water to drink and only the two shares. “Is that it?” Average service. For the value of the food I would have expected better serving size. Six shrimp and and small serving of Ceviche. Although there were lots of visitors in Jasper making street parking a challenge, Fiddle River used to be busy with customers. Maybe not so much now for a Noon lunch. Other lunch venues were busy with patios. Window views are dirty, and sadly wildfires ravished the mountain trees and no wildlife to be seen wandering the area.

Service is top notch. Our server was Tomi, and she was super friendly and accommodating. We are a party of 3 adults and a dog ( in a carrier ), she provided blankets for us and water for our pet. There is a portable heated pole outside to keep you comfy. Food is fresh and very well presented. Overall, highly recommend this place

Outstanding place for fresh seafood and chill ambience. ordered: fiddle fish pot, seafood risotto, rainbow trout all fishes were fresh and plump risotto was creamy and extremely delicious with a wonderful blend of mushroom and seafood and great texture from the rice fiddle fish pot was tangy and refreshing with a little brininess from hidden capers tldr: you cant really go wrong with choices here but the risotto is an almost must-get

Food was excellent!!! The Schnitzel is very large and took up the entire plate lol. If you order this item I would definitely ask for a gravy or a sauce to go with it. Wish I took a picture but unfortunately I did not. Desert was good as well but note the Creme brulee was a cold desert not hot or at least when we ordered it. We really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely be back again.

Delicious food and a lovely view. A busy restaurant, reservation recommended for the weekend. The staff were very kind and though we were late for our reservation, they sat us by the window :-) Our group of 5 got the - Pacific Rim Ceviche appetizer - Alberta Elk Stroganoff - Fiddle Fish Pot - Wild Game Meatloaf - Burger with fries Definitely a filling meal and very yummy, though the elk stroganoff was a little dry. Our favourites were the Fiddle Fish Pot and the Wild Game Meatloaf.

Brewpub

Canadian restaurant
Jasper Brewing Company is a modern brewery with a bright and stylish interior, offering housemade craft beers and elevated pub fare. It's a popular spot where visitors can settle down in front of an open fire, enjoy pub grub, watch big screen TV, and sip through a menu of craft beers.
Had a late lunch at the Jasper Brewing Company. Solid food all around. Fish and chips, wings, poutine, or just a nacho snack, all of it was top tier perfectly made. S&P wings were crispy and tasty, a good size and not dry, like many others I've had. Recommended. Lots of beer choices if you like a fruity type. I had the Crisp Pil. Easy drinking and smooth. Service was good and constant to check on things. Atmosphere was quiet, some large sports TVs. Bathrooms were clean. Overall a 5 star, will be back. Please support Jasper so that the town can be greater than it was. Thanks.

We had a spot outside in front of the business which was nice with the good weather. We just walked in without a reservation. They have a nice range of beers to choose from, some a bit more niche then the other. I also went for the elk meatloaf which was great. We had a good time.

We loved this place so much that we came three times during our 4-day stay in Jasper. That says it all! The atmosphere is great, and every staff member who served us was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. The beers and food were exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommended!
Adeline S — Google review
We stopped in at Jasper Brewing Co. and had a great experience! The atmosphere is very casual and welcoming — one side is more of a restaurant, and the other has a lively bar vibe. Service was good and friendly throughout our visit. We tried the wings and fish & chips, both were delicious and cooked perfectly. There are TVs everywhere, so it’s a great spot to catch a hockey or baseball game while enjoying a good meal and a cold drink. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Jasper!

Really great spot! We sat outside on the terrace, which was super nice. The beer was awesome, and the food was even better. We both had the BBQ elk and loved it—tons of flavor and cooked just right. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Got food and drinks twice at JBC during our recent hiking trip in Jasper. The service was fantastic and the Seared Halloumi Bowl was delicious 😋 The group really enjoyed the Beef Dip and the Korean Fried Chicken as well as some Crisp Pils, White Sangria and the Brad's Riefle. Thanks JBC 🦌🫎

The restaurant is quite big, which impacts the atmosphere. The service is friendly, but not fast. The 1660 stout is very nice, perhaps a bit too cold compared to Guinness. They sell nice merchandise like T-shirts and jumpers, as well as glasses (not cheap at 12$, excl tax (and excluding a drink in it!)). They have many televisions. At one point they showed the same game, but one screen was one minute behind the other one, which was slightly irritably
Philip K — Google review
Great place to eat! Super friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere! Quick service and plenty of seating and space too. The fish and chips were pretty solid. The elk meatloaf was also solid, with a nice a presentation for the plating. The meatloaf itself was a bit dry though. Overall great experience!

Takeout Restaurant
Jasper Pizza Place, known as JPP by locals, is a casual dining spot offering wood-fired thick-crust pizzas, wings, pasta, and other mains. The restaurant's rooftop patio is a popular feature among visitors. One of their standout dishes is the Canadian poutine with an Indian twist called Rogan Josh, featuring crispy shoestring fries, mozzarella cheese, squeaky curds, and cilantro.
Very nice, friendly staff. I enjoyed the pizza, had the thin version with a nice fluffy crust. The pizza was tasty, topping wise it could have been a bit more generous, other than that just a really good pizza, nice place with a great beer selection. When it gets crowded, it can be a bit loud. Overall, I would recommend coming here when staying in Jasper.
Suza — Google review
Tried 3 different types of Woodfired pizzas but they were all average. We get much better and yummier wood fired pizzas in California so may be not the same . Their patio looked great for such a small place like Jasper but the blinds were down because of the rain , when we went . And yes , they didn’t attend us for a long time until we asked them to take the order , they apologized for that however. Seeing the great reviews ,we thought our experience would be the same , or is it hit or miss ?
PS — Google review
After a long day of hiking we decided to do takeout pizza. A popular place in town it's always busy during peak dinner time. We tried their traditional baked pizza *the Sicilian* ham, sausage, yellow hot peppers and cheese. *The Athabasca* gourmet thin crust consists of black olives, artichokes and cheese. Both pizzas were delicious! No complains!
Phillip L — Google review
Haven’t been here in years, and it seems like there may be new owners because the food felt different this time around. The pizza itself was quality, and I really liked that they offered two options: pan or wood oven. The fries were tasty and seasoned just right. I also appreciated the great selection of dips to go along with the meal. ($2.50) per dip. The roof top patio was lovely! One fun surprise was their awesome t-shirts definitely a cool touch that stood out. The staff were very nice and accommodating, which made the experience pleasant overall.
Calista W — Google review
Great dining experience in this place. Was surprised by their meat ball pizza. It’s very pricy for a pizza ($28) but seems it’s expensive to eat everywhere in Jasper! Draft beer is fresh and server made very good recommendations.
L L — Google review
Came here for the rooftop patio on recommendation from a tour guide and we were not disappointed! We had Bri as our server and she was super lovely and gave us great service. The pizzas were amazing and the beers so refreshing on a hot summer day. Rooftop patio gave us a great view of the town and mountains as well!

Was a great experience eating at jasper pizza place. Veggie burger was my favourite, and pizza was good too. I liked the penne vodka sauce pasta and tropical bliss cocktail were perfection. If you are in area the place is must try.
AMI N — Google review
We stopped at Jasper Pizza Place during our trip and wow, their pizza was incredible. I am completely obsessed with their BBQ chicken pizza, it was loaded with flavor and cooked perfectly. Our family of four was so happy with our meal. We grabbed our pizzas to go, took them on a little adventure, and enjoyed a picnic in the mountains by the water. Highly recommend checking this place out if you are in Jasper.

Daniyal S — Google review
We haven't been to Evil Dave's Grill since they moved to this location, and since we were staying at the Marmot Lodge, we figured it was a great opportunity to have dinner at Evil Dave's with our children. I made a reservation through their website and I'm sure glad I did as the restaurant was full upon our arrival. People without reservations were either being turned away or having to wait, but it seemed as though most had made reservations. Our server was very helpful and offered some great suggestions. Our children both decided on the Hurtin' Alberta kids meal and they greatly enjoyed it, saying that the burger was better than the ones I make at home (how dare they 😆). They had some other great options for kids as well. The Little Buddha was their second choice. My wife chose the Karma Curry with chicken and naan bread, and it was easily the best dish that was ordered. It was very flavourful and filling, and I honestly wish I had ordered it myself. I ended up going with the Chef's Cut steak with daily vegetables which was perfectly cooked. Even though it was delicious with a peppercorn sauce that complimented the entire dish, I think I would've enjoyed the Karma Curry a bit more. We finished our meal by sharing their Chocolate Cake and ice cream. It definitely wasn't a cheap dinner for the family, but it was delicious and memorable. We'd definitely return again in the future.
Marc D — Google review
Really enjoyed the menu here. I had the bison meatloaf and it was very good. Good service and comfortable environment. Would go again.
David B — Google review
Food pretty great. Drinks not so much. Had a 'Cool Brew' cocktail (an espresso martini in all but name) that was the worst I've ever had. Their Instagram shows a better version than I was served, I think possibly the bartender's first day. For a place that boasts high quality cocktails, it was hilariously bad. See pic. Watched the bartender make it, he doesn't appear to understand how to shake a cocktail. Beer selection was also a lone hefeweizen. We were put on a table basically beside another large group, and seated after a couple who had a reservation a half hour after us, who got a much nicer table. Just felt like it was everybody's first day in hospitality. Everything except the food which I genuinely can't fault. My awkward order was accommodated perfectly. The chefs deserve a better everything else.
Chris W — Google review
Evil Dave’s Grill – A Jasper Gem That Misses the Mark on Flavor The name Evil Dave’s Grill sets high expectations, and walking in, I was impressed. The decor is beautiful and captures the essence of Jasper perfectly—cozy, stylish, and inviting. The service matched the atmosphere: friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the meal. Unfortunately, that’s where the praise ends. The food was a major letdown. Despite a menu that sounded promising, what arrived at the table was bland, uninspired, and lacked any real depth of flavor. It genuinely felt as if some of the dishes came straight from a can—overpriced and underwhelming. For the cost, I expected much more. Jasper isn’t short on great dining options, and sadly, Evil Dave’s didn’t deliver where it matters most: the food. With a bit more attention to flavor and creativity in the kitchen, this place could live up to its potential. Until then, it’s style over substance.
Yeshwani R — Google review
Very nice food, great service I went for the typhoon noodles with prawns and had the vicious hippies pan fried gyoza, lovely flavour throughout the noodles had a lovely background heat to them in a delicious sauce, the gyoza had a nice subtle gingery taste, id say slightly on the pricey side for what it is but can't fault the food as it was delicious and the service was impeccable.
Richard M — Google review
Overall food is good. I don’t recommend the poutine as it was made with goat cheese, the salad has panko on top which becomes quite soggy and weird once it hits the dressing. Overall though, it’s decent.
Bruh L — Google review
An overall 5! The food was incredibly yummy and our server was very attentive! It did take a hot minute to get seated even though it wasn’t that busy but it was nice and cool in the restaurant and the curry was mild and yummy! Steak was also excellent! Love that the menu denotes dairy free, gluten free, vegetarian etc! The “Daily Bread” is dairy free FYI

Great breakfast!! Fun atmosphere and caring staff. We came here twice because Harvest was so good! The French toast is the best in Canada, according to my 86-year-old mother who orders it everywhere she goes. They have gluten-free options, and all the salads and vegetables taste freshly-picked and delicious.

Very nice and quiet place to have a great meal. We went to try their elk and bison and we we were not disappointed. Both made on point thanks to our server who kindly explained that both elk and bison are recommended to be cooled less so they stay tender. She was absolutely right. She came to our table many times to check on us and refill our water. We really enjoyed our lunch date at Harvest and would totally recommend trying the local dishes.

My favorite place in town, with the best customer service! I love everything here, my recent brunch here was phenomenal. I had the load avocado fancy toast and it was perfect, the eggs were pushed perfectly, the bacon was crispy and thick, and the potatoes had the perfect amount of crunch. My girl had the Kale and potato hash, I've never been a fan of kale but I would've devoured that dish. A perfectly poached egg, the kale was crunchy and with the house made lemon hollandaise went perfect with the mushrooms, potatoes and red peppers. Outside seating was great, I had my dog, my girl, and amazing food and service. Even the coffee was amazing. I highly recommend this place for brunch, lunch or dinner.

We had breakfast here the last morning of our trip. We were delighted to find a fully vegan option. Was very filling. The caramelized onions on the avocado toast had the most perfect tang. The espresso and Americano we had were the best coffee we had the whole trip. We had to get 2 more coffees to go!

Stopped in here for brunch and were incredibly satisfied with our service and meals. The staff were friendly and attentive. We walked right in and didn’t have a wait. Our lattes tasted great and mine had the cutest bear latte art. We got the short rib poutine, which I couldn’t stop talking about through the rest of the day. And to top off our great experience, the staff was so helpful and accommodating when I realized several days later that I had left my purse at the restaurant. They offered to mail it back to me in the US and did so the same day I realized I had called about leaving it. Great people all around!

Must stop in Jasper. Food was excellent and service good. We came for lunch, ate some incredible sandwiches, and left happy. The short rib dip stays solid and crunchy even after you dip it.

Restaurant
Terra, located at 200 Connaught Drive, offers a unique dining experience with its locally farmed and foraged fare. The restaurant's signature dish, Albertas Poutine, features thick-cut, triple-cooked potato chunks topped with a rich mushroom gravy and steak bites, garnished with dark green kale chips. The presentation alone is worth the price of $17. Additionally, Terra's modern design and innovative cooking perfectly complement the rustic mountain landscape.
Excellent food, though the cheesecake does have a hint of an aniseed. Waiter told us the food isn't necessarily foraged, but sourced from within 2 hours drive. Tofu dish was delicious and filling.

I chose this place based on the positive reviews, and while the design and ambiance are indeed beautiful, our experience fell short of expectations. We ordered a charcuterie board, but as shown in the attached photo, what we received was simply a plate with nine pieces of salami—something that was quite disappointing and unexpected. The chicken dish we ordered for dinner was not bad in terms of taste, though the portion size was quite small. Overall, while the setting is lovely and may be worth visiting once, I don’t see myself returning or recommending it to friends.

If you have been looking for a stylish cafe for a long time, then you should definitely visit Terra. The eyes were happy to look around. The service is also at the highest level, we were brought wine to taste until we chose what we liked. The dishes are not big and in one of the dishes in the menu there is a leg and wings, but in fact there was only a leg (maybe we misunderstood something, of course). But the dessert was incredibly tasty. I will definitely come back here to enjoy the dessert and the style of the cafe again!

Had breakfast here one morning. It was fancy without being too much. They incorporate a lot of local ingredients and even small details like the side of beans were clearly made in house

Nice ambiance, pleasant staff and very delicious food. We ordered the burger - was great, and the red lentil tofu which was absolutely amazing. Most times is hard to find plant based dishes besides a boring salad but this red lentil tofu and veggies dish exceeded my expectations. We were hungry after a long day of travel and hiking and so glad we chose this place to eat dinner. We will be back during our stay in Jasper!

The menu is really interesting with a lot of vegetarian options. Unfortunately 2 of 3 hot dishes were only slightly above room temperature. If the food was hot I’m certain it would have been much better. The pasta that was heated was excellent and we were happy with our server.

Syrahs of Jasper is an intimate and warm-hued eatery and bar located in downtown Jasper. The restaurant offers a changing menu featuring regional Canadian cuisine, with dishes made from fresh Alberta bison, Angus beef, British Columbian seafood, and creative sides like hand-made potato gnocchi or white-cheddar poutine.
What a surprise and first time customer!! Having lived and travelled many places this restaurant is right up there. Don’t be fooled by the storefront which is misconspicuous…what you get for quality, presentation and price is amazing. The duck, elk and salads are incredible. If you’re in Jasper… don’t miss having a diner here. I took a couple pics of our meals.

Shared a beautiful meal here celebrating my friends bachelor party. The service was excellent, and the wait staff was attentive. Would recommend for any special occasion or just treating yourself! The old fashioned was my fave drink on the menu and the amuse bouche was a lovely start to a delicious meal.

Awesome food and service. We ordered wild boar chops which was one of their featured dishes for the evening. Juicy and tender, very nice. The wild mushrooms and lentil loaf was a bit burnt at the bottom. That's why four stars for food. House salad tastes delicious with house made dressings. Our server told us everything in the restaurant is house made.

Absolutely wonderful place that felt very cozy. The waitress was so attentive and kind. Her recommendations were on point and the freebie items of the bison tartar and the carrot and chive biscuit were delicious. The chef has made it so that most of the menu is gluten free, which I think is pretty cool. The bison striploin was scrumptious and to die for. They do have a plant based option on the lentil meatloaf which I thought was pretty well seasoned and very delicious. The desserts were out of this world! The goat cheese cheesecake with blackberries was so good that it tasted like an elevated version of an Oreo cheesecake. And the creme brule of the day was spoon-licking good. Overall, it is a place that you have to visit and have a dinner at least once! It's pretty romantic too, so bring your date!

This is the best restaurant we have been at in Jasper, and we have eaten in the top 10 of them. Everything was delicious and special. The server was so nice, when she asked if we needed anything else, I made a joke that world peace would be nice, so she drew me that. The food was Michelin level. If you want a better life, try their cheese cake. The drinks were also delicious. We will come back in our next visit.
Amir S — Google review
I was skeptical at first with the mixed reviews, but I am so glad I ignored the bad ones because I had an amazing dinner here. The elk carpaccio is honestly one of the best dishes I've had ever, even more enjoyable than some Michelin star restaurant dish and I'm really not exaggerating. The caramelized onion tart was also amazing, really amazing pastry and tomatoes and herbs were a perfect match. The bison rib eye was a highlight. Very flavourful and perfectly cooked, normally I don't like my streaks with any sauces but this sour cherry glaze worked so well with it. Elk Wellington...I'm normally not a fan of the tenderloin cut but this was really perfectly done as well. Keep in mind there's a strong mustard used for the Wellington. I liked it but for those who don't like the mustard/horseradish kick, be warned it is a strong flavour. I think you get the point of you're still reading my essay. Just eat here...you won't regret it! Well done Syrahs! I'd give 6 stars if I could.
Sam L — Google review
I came to this restaurant because we read amazing reviews, and they didn't disappoint. Make sure you book reservations ahead of time, because I saw numerous people get turned away due to the full capacity of the restaurant. Our server, I believe his name was Brian was an amazing host for the evening. He was welcoming, friendly, attentive and professional. For starters, me and my friend split the elk capasscio, and grime meatball. Elk capasscio was delicious, and packed with flavours. Super light and tasty. Grime meatball, I felt lacked flavour and felt like it was just sitting in tomato sauce and onions. Main course, I had the Elk Wellington, which was cooked perfectly. Pasty was very flaky and crisp, and elk was cooked to a nice medium rare. Mashed potato and berry sauce paired very well with everything. I highly recommend coming to this restaurant, as it was one of the highlights of my trip!
Terry C — Google review
The vibe inside is appreciated. Service was profession and attentive but casual, not trying to be too fancy. Complimentary (included) pallet cleansers and biscuit is a welcome and appreciated touch. The menu is intriguing. Elk carpaccio was good but I felt it was overpowered by everything else on the plate and the quality of those elements didn’t match the elk. Bison was good, like a slow cooked beef and the richness of the vegetable sauce was savourable. Unfortunately I found it hard to find the 3day smokey flavour, and the gnocchi was far more of potato flavour and texture then I would expect. Dessert also enjoyed. Overall all nice food, but at $90+ pp it was just too expensive for the flavours I got and the quality of the ingredients. I’m glad I tried but I wouldn’t return. I’ve had better for less.

Bear's Paw Bakery is a cozy spot in Jasper, offering a warm atmosphere with wood paneling and serving up delicious house-baked pastries, breakfast items, and coffee. It's a local favorite and popular among visitors as well. The bakery offers an array of freshly baked goods including muffins, cookies, cakes, artisanal breads, sandwiches, and wraps. While it has limited seating inside, it's worth stopping by for a delightful breakfast or lunch experience.
Bear’s Paw Bakery is hands down one of my favorite spots in Jasper. I have been coming for years and it’s definitely a family favourite. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the comforting aroma of freshly baked goods and rich coffee — it’s the kind of place that immediately feels warm and welcoming. The location is perfect, right in town and easy to find whether you’re a local or just passing through on your Rockies adventure. The space itself has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes it ideal for grabbing a morning coffee, a quick bite, or even just relaxing for a few minutes with something sweet. It’s clear that everything is made fresh daily — from the flaky croissants and buttery scones to the hearty breakfast sandwiches and mouthwatering desserts. The coffee is excellent every time — rich, smooth, and brewed just right. Whether you’re a fan of a classic drip, espresso, or something more indulgent, they’ve got you covered. The staff are always upbeat, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Even during busy hours, they’re efficient and kind, creating a positive experience every single time. It’s rare to find a place that nails great food, coffee, service, and atmosphere all in one — but Bear’s Paw Bakery does just that. If you’re in Jasper, this place is a must-visit. I can’t recommend it enough!

We came on a Friday morning at around 10am. There was a line of people, but the line goes pretty fast. They have a microwave inside to heat up pastries if you choose. We saw a sign to order online and pick up at their outside window, so we did that. We got a cinnamon bun, a maple pecan Danish, and a garlic cheese stick (no picture because we finished before taking a picture). All of them were very good, not too sweet. The Danish texture is less flaky and feels more like a biscuit? But still good. Not a lot of maple on it, just a touch of sweetness.

This bakery is a Jasper gem. The baked goods are delicious with a variety of coffees and teas. I did feel a bit rushed as there were so many customers and the staff was trying to move people along, I couldn’t see the selection behind other people until someone moved and then I didn’t have a chance to order it. Despite this, excellent baked goods, lovely little shop.

This review is based on a single visit. This is apparently a very popular bakery in Jasper. While we were there, we learned that this bakery has loyal local customers, visitors returning for more treats, and first timers (like us) who had heard of the deliciousness created here. At noon on a summer Sunday, the bakery was full of customers. All the tables and counter space were occupied with visitors, sipping their drinks and having pastries. The line was almost out the door. We don't know if this is normal, but for us this is how it was. There were plenty of young and friendly staff to handle the workload. Everyone was hustling about, filling orders and making sure that the customers were taken care of well. We did not wait in line long before we placed our orders. We got a couple of pastries and regular drip coffees. The pastries were OK. We suspected the pastries would have been better right out of the oven, but that's more of a timing thing than a quality thing. The medium and dark coffees we had were excellent. Excellent. We neglected to take note of the name of the coffee we had. However, we believe they were local to the area. The seating area inside the bakery was full. There were small tables and counter space for customers. There's also some seating outside, but not very much. For the bakery, that's a great problem to have, a bakery full of customers. For customers, however, it could be a problem if you wanted to have a place to sit and enjoy the pastries. We took ours out to the parking lot across the street and eight off the bed of our truck. We're used to it, and to be honest, we preferred it. The parking lot across the street from the bakery is more than enough to handle the customers that visit. If not, there's street parking available. However, everything is "paid parking" so keep that in mind.

We tried a few things here but the clear and undeniable winner is their STICKY CINNAMON BUN. You'd think you'd miss the creamy frosting of a cinnamon role, but this beast when warm is just a gooey caramelly masterpiece. The other pastries we tried leaned towards dry but no issue with the sticky bun. VERY popular spot in town so expect to wait in line 15 minutes or so, or I gathered you could order online for pickup outside quicker.

Gets very busy in the mornings because it’s a very small space, but this is a nostalgic place for my family and I so we don’t mind! Used to live here about 2 decades ago, and the baked goods are a bit dry (depending on what you get), but generally are as good as I remember. the variety is great, and the service is very efficient! Only unfortunate thing was that their drinks just taste like milk. We had a chai and London fog, and both just tasted like steamed milk with a very very faint flavour. The addition of the chocolate on top is always nice though!

We went to this café right after breakfast, around 10 to 10:30 in the morning. Unfortunately, by the time we got there most of the breakfast sandwiches were already sold out. They only had one left, which we ordered. It was actually really good — fresh bread, good flavor, and you could tell their bread and pastries are baked in-house. We also tried a pastry that was rolled in caramel, and it was delicious. The café had a microwave too, so you could warm up your pastry if you wanted, which I thought was a nice touch. I especially liked the caramel and cinnamon combo, and overall, all the baked goods we tried were fresh and tasty. The only real disappointment was the muffin. There were four of us, and none of us liked it. It was very dense, kind of dry, and just didn’t have good flavor. I’m not sure if it was an off recipe or maybe just not fresh, but it was definitely the weakest item we tried. The coffee was fine, nothing special, but totally acceptable. The café itself had a nice atmosphere, and the baristas were great. They were attentive and friendly. The only thing that felt off was the cashier, who seemed to be rushing through orders a bit too much. It made the interaction feel a little uncomfortable. Overall though, still a good spot.

I recently visited Bear Paw Café in Jasper Downtown, and it was such a happy experience! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and they offer a wonderful variety of food and coffee. Everything we tried was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend trying their pizza pretzels and croissants—both were absolutely amazing! The cafe features a balcony where guests can enjoy breakfast while taking in the beautiful surroundings. We were really impressed by this amazing cafe! The breakfast was outstandingly delicious that could be ranked as the utterly top cafe, if not the best, in our experience so far. The way that the chef created their fusion cuisine was a kind of art that not only respected the authenticity but also embraced creativity.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Sunhouse and it was incredible. The food is innovative, delicious and well-sourced. The coffee impressed all the coffee snobs. Such a cute and wonderful cafe! I loved everything about it, from the decor, plates, cups, all the way to the food and drinks. As a coffee person, I was relieved to find a place in Jasper with solid espresso. The food is also creative, thoughtful and carefully prepared. I would wholeheartedly recommend any of my friends to visit this cafe if they are in the area. Seating can be a bit challenging to find in larger groups, so be prepared to wait or split up if you want to inside when it’s chilly out.

Great view, excellent food, slow service. I want to start by saying that while the menu is small, it delivers on all fronts: freshness, flavour, portion size and value. I want to love this place, but it's tough when it took 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and there were probably around 10 other customers dining at this time. Additionally, I requested the fried eggs to be subbed for poached, which the waitress said would be fine, but when the dish arrived they were definitely fried. Unfortunately we were now short on time so I didn't mention this to the staff. To be fair, the meal was still delicious - just not quite what I wanted. On the bright side, there is a lovely view to enjoy while waiting, and plenty of opportunity to soak up some sunshine. In summary, I'd try coming here again, hoping that the slow service was a one-off. Personally, I think it could be due to their small kitchen size - I was surprised by what they could produce in that small space!
Graeldon — Google review
What a chic cafe with a great selection of food! The French toast was sooo good - not too sweet with the lime jam and the right level of softness and sponginess. Also loved their massive sunroof! Highly recommend if you happen to stop by Jasper for a coffee or brunch.

This was our favourite place for breakfast in Jasper. The food was fresh, healthy and delicious and the service was great! I had the avocado on sourdough which was amazing! I’ve never had avocado toast presented this way. It included a perfectly poached egg, sliced avocado, fresh herbs and greens, pomegranate, pistachio mint pistou, and preserved lemon dressing. All on nice thick piece of sourdough bread. Delicious. We will definitely be back.

Famoso Italian Pizzeria in Jasper National Park is a cozy spot offering authentic Neapolitan pizzas, pasta, and sandwiches along with a selection of beer and cocktails. The pizzeria prides itself on its fire-roasted Neapolitan-style pizzas made in a traditional bell oven. From classic margherita to unique combinations like cavoletti and prosciutto with arugula, there's something for every pizza lover.
From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile! We chose to sit at the bar so we could watch the Calgary stampede on the television. The bartender was also the manager and the service was outstanding. The pizza was cooked perfectly with abundant high quality toppings and extremely flavorful with the Campania tomato sauce! We have been to Italy and traveled around the US so we know good pizza and this was one of the best we have had! Highly recommend Famoso if you are in Jasper and looking for a great dinner! Also good selection of wine and beer!

We chose Famoso based on reviews and it didn’t disappoint. Great overall experience! Dustin, our server was wonderful. Not only attentive but also made some park/hike recommendations. The meatball and prosciutto wrapped mozzarella appetizers were wonderful as was the pizza.

We came here the other night. The setting was very nice and casual. Ambience was great and music was at the appropriate volume to conversation. Service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and food came out quickly. Serving sizes are very generous. My mother in law and I had Margherita pizza. My wife had the tomato bisque. The pizza was in my opinion, phenomenal. The crust was perfectly cooked. The sauce, cheese and spices were perfection. Just like I have even in Italy on vacation. Let’s just say, my mother in law and I love their pizza so much we picked up more pizzas for takeout the next evening. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Staff were very helpful and cheerful. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who likes pizza just like it’s done in Italy (Naples to be precise, home of the first Margherita pizza). If I discovered this place sooner it would have been 3 days in a row, eating here. Highly recommended!

Stopped in for a bite and was not disappointed! I ordered the 12-inch “make your own” meat pizza — thin crust, perfectly crisp, and somehow light enough that I polished off the whole thing in one sitting (no regrets). My wife went with the fettuccine Alfredo and absolutely loved it — creamy, rich, and cooked just right. Great atmosphere, quick service, and a solid choice if you're craving Italian while in Jasper.

I recently visited this restaurant for lunch. The food itself was tasty and enjoyable, and overall service was decent. However, I did notice an important hygiene issue. After clearing dishes with leftovers, the server immediately prepared and served us drinks without washing or sanitizing their hands. This is something the management really needs to pay attention to, as hygiene is just as important as good food. If they improve on this aspect, the overall dining experience would be much better.

Although the prices are slightly on the higher side, every dish we ordered was exceptional. The pasta stood out with its impressive flavors, and the wine was equally delightful. Had a great time at Olive Bistro while in Jasper for the day. We enjoyed the patio (which is dog friendly), had great service from the staff and very much enjoyed pur food. We enjoyed the Elk Burger, Bison Burger and the Feature Burger (French Onion) all with their shoestring fries. Love the Farm to table menu and look forward to coming again.

The food was just way too overpriced for boxed pasta and not even real tomatoes in their pasta sauce it tasted like sweet Campbell tomatoes soup and it was $34. I have had some amazing homemade pasta at restaurants in Edmonton for the same price with 10x the quad I of ingredients. Service was great and can’t blame the server. My partner got the French onion burger and it was good. Expensive for what it was but what do you except when you come to a tourist destination. Drinks were also mediocre. I got an espresso martini for $16 and the vodka tasted very cheap and there was shards of ice in my glass

This was one of my favorite restaurants in Jasper. They use local ingredients and the food is spectacular. It was better than Terra. The staff was friendly and the Owner and Chef, Daryl stopped by to describe how some of his dishes were made. The red beet salad with goat cheese was amazing. Wagyu steak and cod were out of this planet. It is amazingly delicious.

We decided to eat here because it was locally owned and we wanted to support someone local. We were greeted at the door by the owner and chef who was taking a break and saw us walk in. He was super nice and got someone to seat us right away. I guess I would describe the atmosphere as ‘upscale casual’. You would feel as comfortable eating here in your hiking clothes as you would in dress pants and a button down. The service was fantastic, everything was timed very well. We never felt rushed but we also didn’t have to sit and wait forever for food or drinks. The food was excellent! My husband had the bacon wrapped filet and it was done perfectly and I had the smoked chicken sandwich which was both tender and flavorful. I would definitely eat here again. They do have patio and indoor seating. It was chilly so we ate inside.

Orso Trattoria, located at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, offers a delightful taste of northern Italy with stunning views of Lac Beauvert and the Canadian Rockies. The restaurant features a Sunday brunch with a rotating tapas-inspired tasting menu and recommends making reservations in advance. Diners can enjoy house-made pastas and locally sourced produce while taking in the picturesque vistas from the heated patio.
My wife and I chose Orso Trattoria to start off her birthday celebration on September 12, and it was an excellent choice. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt inviting, with a classic, elegant décor that combines traditional charm with the capacity to comfortably host both intimate meals and larger groups, such as tour parties. We were warmly welcomed by our server, Rodelita, whose service truly stood out. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and made thoughtful suggestions to ensure we had the best start to our day. With her guidance, we decided on the breakfast buffet, which turned out to be a highlight of our visit. The buffet offered an impressive variety of fresh, high-quality dishes — far too many to list in full. I especially enjoyed the bacon and cheese eggs, which were perfectly prepared, while my wife sampled several other options and was equally delighted. Everything we tried was flavorful, beautifully presented, and made with care. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience that made my wife’s birthday morning even more special. Between the excellent food, warm service, and welcoming atmosphere, Orso Trattoria is well worth a visit whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable breakfast in Jasper.

We had breakfast at Orso Trattoria and really enjoyed it! The Salmon & Avocado Toast was fresh and flavorful, and the Omelet (we picked goat cheese, bell pepper, and mushroom) was spot on — filling but not too heavy. We also loved the Beauvert green juice and a strong cappuccino to kick off the morning. Everything tasted great and felt healthy, but heads up: the potato wedges that came with both dishes were super salty. Wish there was an option to swap them for fruit or veggies instead. The ambiance is relaxed and upscale with a beautiful view, and the staff were friendly and quick to seat us. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but hey — it’s a resort, and it kind of comes with the territory. Would definitely go back (and maybe just skip the potatoes next time).

We were staying at the lodge as part of a Rocky Mountaineer Raily tour. We had breakfast in the morning, and this was our first (and only) dinner hear. The dinner room looks out over Lake Beauvert which is stunning. We had reservations for 4, and were seated right away. It took a while for our server to get to our table, greet us, and get serve waters. Our server was professional and efficient, but definitely not friendly. We had a 3 course meal as part of our package and there were plenty of interesting starters and entrees. It took some more time, before the server returned and took our orders. As a matter of fact, it took nearly 2.5 hours for the entire meal. Turns out that our server kept getting distracted in conversation by another table next to ours. He was totally oblivious to the other tables around. Our table ordered a collection of varied entrees, lamb chops (for me), a rissoto dish, scallops, and bison steak. During our wait we were served some olives and crostini with a spread, and focaccia bread. The crostinis were not fresh and tasted as if they had been sitting in a too cold refrigerator. After another wait, the food did arrive. My lamb chops were amazing. Cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the vegetable bake was good as well. The scallops got good reviews. However the Bison was undercooked, and tough. The risotto was bland and soupy. After finishing our entrees, it took 30 minutes for the server to return (chatting it up again with another table). It was getting seriously ridiculous. Asked the server to bring our desserts (which was included in our 3 courses). My Tomato and Raspberry dessert was very interesting, and good (a little chili powder in the chocolate pudding). Asked for the check for the cocktails. Mentioned to the server the long wait, and he apologized and blamed it on the busy dining room, but I felt compelled to point out his chattiness with other tables. After the rest of my party left, I hung back and asked to speak to the manager. He explained that while they have just recently opened, there was no excuse for what had happened to us. Offered to pay for our drinks (which I declined). I hope they are able to get their act together. A beautiful, upscale place like this needs to do better.

I can't recommend this spot enough. It's expensive, but so, so worth it. The lakeside view was picturesque, and the food and drinks were absolutely incredible. Our server Christina was attentive and friendly, and we left knowing we'd be back the next time we're in Jasper! No complaints!

This is where you have breakfast. The service was phenomenal but the food wasn’t. I ordered poached eggs and they couldn’t get them right they kept coming out with very runny egg white and I gave up and had the buffet eggs. I was told the “eggs aren’t cooperating.”😀 The buffet was not replenished as quickly as needed and the seating was challenging as we saw empty tables but had to wait to be seated.

The atmosphere is spectacular, the team's service was exceptional. Our attendant name is Jason. The experience peaked with the dessert, a truly unique take on tiramisu .It wasn't the traditional version, perfect blend

Food was not amazing or great. For the price I guess I just expected more. Besides that the service was pretty good and the atmosphere and vibes are really nice. We tried the short rib ravioli which tasted extra el dente or slightly undercooked, the sablefish was bland and tasted like butter, the lamb pasta tasted like canned corned mutton with linguine. No knock to the people that run this establishment they were really nice but the prices do not match the food.

The rustic charm of the restaurant adds to its appeal, creating a cozy ambiance. While the beef stew's temperature could be improved, the overall experience at Maligne Canyon Wilderness Kitchen Restaurant is delightful, making it an ideal spot to unwind and refuel after an adventurous hike.

Our yogurt fruit granola parfait was very good. So was a their brisket sandwich. Their menu is limited. The indoor dining area has high ceilings, cozy, comfortable and varying types of chairs and set-ups. Outdoor on the deck are picnic tables with umbrellas and the sound of flowing water.

Came here for lunch after exploring the canyon and got seated on the patio, beautiful scenery while we enjoyed some good food. We ordered the wings and pulled pork. Both was delicious and nice presentation. Drinks were nice and cold. Service was fast and got seated right away (Roughly 1:30-2:00 pm seating). Came here for lunch after exploring the canyon and what a beautiful place to enjoy the scenery and some good food. Sandwiches and burgers were great, I loved the fries! Our server raved about the mac ‘n cheese so a few of us upgraded to it but personally found that it was just okay.

Wonderful restaurant with a great view. It took a while for our food to arrive, so we had plenty of time to souvenir shop and enjoyed the view. They did have the buffet line for quick eat, but we wanted something more and the dishes we ordered were pleasantly tasty and beautifully plated.

We ate here after hiking in the canyons. The space is very comfortable. We stayed in the patio & enjoyed the view. We ordered burgers for a quick meal - pulled pork burgers, beef brisket & bison burger. Everything was so tasty with the fries, coleslaw & especially the bison burger!

Our visit to Maligne Canyon Wilderness Kitchen was one of my favorite lunches on our BC & Alberta roadtrip mid-September. Service here was very efficient and friendly (even though it was pretty busy) and I liked that everything appeared well organized. The food was delicious; we had two sandwiches, one with soup and one with salad, everything was fresh, tasty and came out fast. We also had a drink which was very good. The views are very nice as well, especially if you catch a clear day. Don’t forget to check out Maligne Canyon while you’re here - it’s truly spectacular and beautiful!

Wow!! This was one of the most delicious meals we’ve had. Location/food/drinks/service/price all 5/5. If there’s a way to give this place 6/5, I would. We went on a weekday in July and sat on the patio - this is a late review. The outdoor environment is serene as you’re overlooking the Maligne Canyon trails. The indoor seating is cozy, modern and subtle. We tried a large variety of cocktails dishes, everything was well-executed, balanced yet complex. From the cocktail menu, I’d recommend the Rumpert’s Campfire! This whisky based drink is transformed with bitters, roasted marshmallows, and infused in a smoky wood plate. We each had a second round after quickly gulping down the first. Other favorites include the Prickly Bear and Observation Peak. On the food menu, I really enjoyed Bison Tartare, Brisket, and the Bison Striploin. My only regret is only having a day in Jasper, otherwise I’d be back for brunch and dinner a second time! Hopefully we’ll be able to get out there and excited to see what new cocktails and dishes land on their menu.

Coco's Cafe is a charming spot in Jasper known for its commitment to serving incredibly fresh coffee and espresso. The cafe offers a menu of light fare with options for vegans, vegetarians, and those with celiac preferences. The cozy space is designed to make guests feel at home, featuring calming colors, natural light fixtures, and soothing music. Additionally, the cafe bakes its own artisan bread and caters to large groups.
Excellent little cafe with seating inside and some patio space to enjoy outside during brunch. We had the breakfast wrap and the French toast, which has cream cheese in it. I prefer breakfast wraps/burritos to sweet and the wrap was quite tasty. The French toast was surprisingly lighter than I thought it would be versus dense. If you have had an asian made cake before you will understand what I mean. Price was also quite reasonable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite in a quaint spot.

Great place, we ordered a salad, a pumpkin soup with homade bread, angus beef (super tender, buttery) and their desert. My husband escually loved the s'more old fashioned. Everything was delicious, and super fast service. For the quality, the prices are more than fair. Definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Jasper.

20% forced tip??!! Slow service, took about 20-25 min just to have my drink while it was not busy. We were 12, everyone left disappointed with taste and portions considering the price. When the bill came, surprise, they already added 20% tip included in the bill, no way of giving less or more. We asked about it and no shame at all from the waitress. Unacceptable!!

Everything was good until the bill, they added 20% to the price because we were 6 people, really rude. We asked if we would sit at two separate tables, they would charge an additional 20%, they said no Obviously we won't be coming to the restaurant again. Be careful and sit at separate tables.

I was recommended the pizza after a long day skiing, and how amazed I was at so many things. First off the service is absolutely amazing with informative staff that answered my questions on the menu and even happily remembered to move me to the dining tables from the bar in case one opened up. The gourmet pizza was an absolute treat. The sauce and ingredients are so fresh and well made. I was even given the option to choose two of the 3 or 4 types of pizza and have a split pizza so I can try more flavors. Who would've thought there'd be such a gem of a restaurant in my hotel. Definitely coming back here on my next stay.

I haven’t dined in this place but we ordered to go for our room. I give them 5 stars for the food. We ordered the fungi pizza and raspberry cheesecake. The pizza was to die for!! They don’t cheap out on the ingredients so every bite is bursting with flavour. The cheesecake you can tell is homemade. It was very light, fluffy and even came with some white chocolate chunks.

Got take out ceaser salad. After looking at the reviews I see nothing has changed. It may have anchovy but it definitely isn’t home made or even a quality pre made dressing. Lettuce was also bitter and the soggy lumps of herb(?) was quite unappetizing to look at. 20$ and very unfortunate

The beer wasn’t that great—it had a bitter taste. The lamb kebab was very tasty and perfectly cooked. The spaghetti Bolognese was delicious and impressed my daughter. The blackened chicken was also great. Overall, a wonderful atmosphere and a perfect place for family dining.

No complaints, a classic Greek pizza and steak restaurant in the heart of Jasper, what more could you want? They only have Greek options for their appetizers, which was great to see. The flaming cheese dish was one of those, both delicious and a spectacle - try it for sure! The Greek-style pizza was spot on, just what I was looking for. Try the walnut cake, it had some unique Greek flavors (ie cloves and citrus) and was delightful!

We got the alfredo pasta with chicken, salmon and blackened chicken. The pasta sauce was so creamy and flavorful, and the salmon tasted really fresh. The blackened chicken was cooked perfectly. I loved the overall vibe of the place. It’s super aesthetic and cozy. Service was quick, portions were just right, and our server was really friendly. Definitely recommend!

I rate this restaurant 100%! The food was excellent. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and served in a generous portion. The salmon tasted incredibly fresh, and the Greek rice was so delicious that you don’t even need a side dish. The service was outstanding, and the ambiance felt like we were in an upscale restaurant, but the prices were surprisingly affordable. We were shocked, especially since we live in B.C.! 😂😅 We will definitely be back. Thank you for the amazing food!

Amazing food, great service, and family atmosphere. The portions were great, but it was a little pricey, in my opinion. The spaghetti pasta was slightly overcooked, but the meat sauce was delicious. I had the steak and shrimp (wasn't crazy for the batter) steak was good. My husband had the ribs (amazing). Kids had the - veggie stir fry (he rated it 7.5) and chicken souvlaki (he rated it 8.5). We had the smoked salmon for an appetizer (a little bit of a messy presentation), but it tasted great.

L&W Mediterranean Restaurant in Jasper is a must-visit spot, despite a minor hiccup with the owner. The standout feature here is the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Our group of friends decided to explore a variety of dishes, and we were thrilled with the results. The calamari starter was crispy perfection, and the soup was flavorful and comforting. Our main courses were equally impressive, with a diverse range of Mediterranean options to choose from. The Baklava dessert was the cherry on top, a sweet ending to a delightful meal. While the owner's demeanor left something to be desired, the wonderful staff and delicious food more than made up for it. If you're in Jasper, don't miss the chance to savor the culinary delights at L&W Mediterranean Restaurant. It's an experience that will leave you smiling and satisfied.

Fresh, hot and delicious! We loved our dinner at L&W. It's owned by a sweet Greek Lady who has been working here for a long time. Both chicken and lamb Souvlaki were very good and a complete meal. Surprisingly, the one non-Greek item, the Teriyaki stir fry was also very good! It's a good vegetarian option. Our server was friendly and prompt. Would recommend this place during your stay in Jasper. Dedicated customer parking is an adjacent lot.

Just grab a quick lunch before heading back to Edmonton and did worth the try. The hamburger is a little bit salty but still great. Not quite sure the owner or staff, who serviced us but she was very nice and caring. Good work. I highly recommend if you want a cozy place for lunch or dinner.

We got seated in this greenhouse looking room with a 40 year old tree growing in it. There were many plants and it made a very unique atmosphere. We ordered chicken and lamp souvlaki and a donair and all of them were really good. Food also came out quickly. For dessert we got baklava (which came in walnut flavor only) , apple crumble cheesecake, the chocolate cake. All of them were really good. Our waiter gave us some good recommendations on what to do while on our day-trip to jasper. Overall I would recommend this place for Greek or Italian food since they had pizza and pasta.

Came here with some coworkers and thoroughly enjoyed my food. A bunch of people were getting the espresso martinis and loved them. The drinks took a long time to come out but they were delicious! The portions here are big! Prices are also very competitive and execution of skills - although not top tier - is competent and experienced. Their Carbonara pasta and meatball appy are delicious. Mushroom ravioli is fresh. The slight let down were the gnocchis but overall we enjoyed everything. If you are craving for italian food, come to Alba!

Dinner at Alba was splendid!!🤩 I was so struggling to find a nice restaurant because.. if you are paying some money(I am a young worker so I don't have much money), you want it to be worth it! Alba is TOTALLY WORTH IT! Ordered Meatball, Mushroom soup, Mezzi Rigatoni, Alberta Bistecca. The food came out so quick and at once(loved it). They were all yummy and I liked that the steak here came out with mashed potatoes as well. The plating made the dish more luxurious and valuable. Kudos to the chef! The waiter was really nice and really made us our day as well. I wanted to treat my boyfriend and my little brother because boyfriend, he drove us YYC to Reddeer and my lil bro came to visit me from S.KOREA. They both loved it and I am sooo satisfied!! If you are struggling which restaurant to go, go ALBA☺️
Gyuri ( — Google review
I'll start off by saying we didn't plan to go here. The place we intended to go didn't have a table for us so we went here randomly which turned out to be one of the best meals we had in Jasper. This place is really underrated, which I'll get into at the end. First and most importantly the food was fantastic. Each dish was prepared just right. We had the shrimp risotto, gnocchi parmigiana, duck and sockeye salmon. Each dish was awesome, with maybe the only the salmon being just good. Both risotto and gnocchi were prepared just right and tasty without being overbearing. The duck was perfectly medium with a nice glaze and tasted delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked but but in comparison to the other dishes, I could only rate it as good. I fully expected the salmon wasn't going to be spectacular, but felt I needed to get off the over eating of red meat and carbs that I've had all vacation. For desert, despite being full, we shared a tiramisu and rhubarb panne cotta. Both were small but very good. Just enough to hit the spot. We also had a bread basket and meatballs appetizers. The bread, while nice and warm, was just ok. The meatballs were nice. The portions for the gnocchi and risotto were just right. The salmon was as expected, but the duck was a bit smaller than what we would have liked. The great basket portion was a small considering it was just bread and we had to pay for it. The meat balls were a bit on the small side too. Despite the smaller portion sizes, the prices were very reasonable given the location, overall quality and taste of the food. I highly recommend and if it wasn't our last night in town, we'd certainly go back. I feel this place should be packed but somehow they aren't and I'd offer up some suggestions: Since they are on the 2nd floor, the restaurant need do a much better presentation for first impression at the entrance. We almost didn't go in because of that, but went anyway because of the good reviews on Google Maps and my kids were hungry The menu board frame looks worn and beat up. The glass is not clear, inside the frame it's a bit dusty, the wood frame itself is worn and water damaged. The menu board advertising "best prices in town" was a real turn off. No good restaurant would draw clients in with that catch line, or you'll get the wrong clients in looking for cheap prices and they'll be disappointed. The pictures on the menu board really do a disservice to the food. Both the colors and the actual photos are not appealing. The stair case needs a refresh or something. The concrete paint damaged stairs, metal hand rail makes this seem like a back door emergency escape, rather than the main entrance of a nice restaurant. I noticed many customers come up, looking confused and trying to figure if they were indeed in the right place and if they should really eat here. I can only assume many don't even make it up. Lastly if this was my place, I'd replace the folding sign with something a bit more upscale, maybe a chef caricature statue holding a chalk board menu, but this is a small detail. While the inside decor could use some work that would be a bigger investment. I'd first focus on the lower cost front door issues.

Overall food quality is reasonably good though not great (great means close to Michelin-star quality), am surprise we can have this quality in Jasper. The shrimp risotto too me is abit soft not al dente though if i have to complain. Service was great but somewhat understaff, they may need one more helper for better service.
The Y — Google review
Very nice restaurant. We ordered the risotto and arancini, they were pretty good. We also ordered the steak and the lasagna, but both were awful! The steak had a huge nerve through it, very cheap cut. The lasagna was half grease and oil. The service was excellent, they were apologetic and offered us free dessert and took the bad food off our bill. But even the dessert was sad. The tiramisu was more of a yellow pudding. Maybe they have a new chef? I’d say great service, not so consistent or good food.
Vicky R — Google review
Delicious! I particularly enjoyed the Crostini Platter and the Mezzo Rigatoni. Tuscan Arugula and Prosciutto salad was good, the baked meatballs however is just about average. Overall, nice setting and good service!

De'd Dog Bar & Grill is a cozy eatery with a rustic ambiance, offering classic pub fare and an array of beverages. This establishment is known for its lively atmosphere, making it a popular hangout spot, especially among the younger crowd. The menu features hearty options including vegetarian dishes and daily specials such as wing night on Wednesdays. Additionally, they are celebrated for their unique events like Sunday steak nights and Jasper in January where they introduced a special poutine inspired by authentic Indian flavors.
Just stayed at the Astoria for two nights and did dinner here both nights. The 32oz beer special is right on for Thursday. Had the big game burger with a side of poutine. Wife had the Canadian burger with fries. Burgers cooked great, hot and juicy with fresh fries. The poutine was also quite good fresh fries, hot gravy, and I think I even heard a curd squeak before the all melted. 5 stars Followed up on Friday for the special: 1/2 rack of ribs, 3 wings and fries. Again fresh fries under the honey/hot wings which gave the wings some sauce as well, bonus. You could bite the ribs without all the meat falling off but came off the easily. Great place with friendly staff and love being located to my hotel.

Stopped in here for a quick bite while in Jasper. Food and service was good. I had the Big Game burger. I was really hungry, and I love me some good meat, so I opted for the extra patty. Normally this place is great and I can’t fault. The team is awesome, but tonight I Ordered a burger to go - paid an extra $1.50 to add pickles. Got the burger home to see only 1 pickle, Kind of disappointing. Fries were also soggy and really salty :(

Came here to watch a Stanley cup playoff game. They had one large projector screen and multiple TV's throughout, and played the game audio throughout the bar. It was clear the patrons were there for the game and there was a fun atmosphere throughout (aside from the Leafs getting bounced 6-1 by Florida...). TVs were loud enough to hear though overall it was not too loud in the bar. Excellent deals on pitchers of beer, and the food was pretty good. The chili and root vegetable salad were both of particular note. My friend ordered a "dog bone" which was one giant meaty rib and he enjoyed it. A nice sports bar!

The place has been owned by the same family for over a century and features a wall of photos of local heroes and legends who have passed on. The heritage value of this place, alone, is worth at least one visit, but you'll catch me here often. Love it.

My husband and I were in holiday in Jasper a few days ago and popped in for dinner. I had the Bison chilli loaded fries which was absolutely delicious and I couldn’t fault it. Really tasty and I’d highly recommend it. My husband had the Reubens sandwich and fries and loved that too. The service was great and the place had a good atmosphere and felt authentic. We are really glad we chose to eat there.

Had a lovely lunch at this eclectic pub in the Astoria Hotel. Matt was our server who was kind, funny and shared the humanity of the impacts of the fire. He had a beautiful heart and we are so glad we went there. Matt you were terrific! Much love and thanks from your Golden Girls

Located at Jasper's world-famous Maligne Lake, The View offers stunning panoramas of the iconic Canadian Rockies landscape. This outdoor seasonal restaurant in Jasper National Park is a top choice for tourists seeking a delightful lunch experience. With an emphasis on regional, chef-driven cuisine, the menu features delectable options such as Rainbow Trout with flavorful vegetable accompaniments. The service is commendable, and the ambiance adds to the overall dining experience.
This spot is definitely worth the drive! My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal on the patio overlooking the lake, and then took a stroll over by the boat house. It was truly one of the most memorable points in our entire trip through the Canadian Rockies!

We came here for a quick lunch before our Maligne Lake cruise. Thankfully, our food was served quickly so we weren't late. The food was good and interesting, fresh. We got the pork canna dilla, pork flat bread, and pickerel lettuce wrap. The sandwiches were good, but I was not a fan of the chips it was served with. Prices are high for what you get, but makes sense since this is a tourist area. There is a large patio area where most of the diners were seated. Unfortunately the washrooms were broken so we had to walk up the hill at the other restaurant.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience for lunch at The View, Maligne Lake. Our server, Jess, was extremely friendly/polite, very attentive & gave great recommendations on the food/drinks menu. Food came out promptly & didn't disappoint. We will definitely be coming again & look forward to the kind staff & exceptional food!

I had a good experience today at The View. I went for a very long hike and was looking for something to eat; The View was the only place there was. I ordered a poutine (since i'm from Montreal haha) and a chicken cesar salad. The food was good, but the portions and prices were really not it. The poutine was $12 which iis reasonable, but the chicken cesar salad was $17. For both these meals, the portions were very small. The atmosphere was great. Lots of place to sit inside AND outside. The service was also okay. The girl at the cash register today (monday june 10 at 2pm) was very kind and was definitely the nicest employee i spoke to at The View. She is doing a very good job and i hope she knows. My experience was overall very good and i do recommend.

Words cannot express how disappointing lunch was today. We only came here as it was included in the package deal with the Maligne Lake Cruise. In the original booking, it shows the full course entrees, and allowed us to pick any of the options, but in person there were only three. We ordered the Steelhead Trout and the Chicken with one of each dessert. For a restaurant that proclaims they have a "gourmet menu", and local ingredients, and with the price point that it is, I expect the food to at least taste good. This was not the case. With several failed culinary techniques; not seasoning the food, potatoes on the verge of being raw, plating, inconsistent cooking, along with the service. I certainly and highly recommend people to avoid this touris trap. Sarah (Manager), understood the frustration and took the proper steps by upgrading our meals and offering on the house dips and chips during the wait. Once again, the food was a disappointment. Moving onto the second course, the radicchio was cut into a 1/4 and just left whole and dirty (inside had dirt still), proteins were bland AGAIN, food was cold. We waited a total of 1.5hrs (including dessert) and all of it was extremely horrible. The desserts alone looks like a child created it, and I come from a fine dining background (which we would not serve). Steve, the GM, seems to struggle with our frustration and felt as if he did above and beyond service to make our experience better when he absolutely did not and actually made it even worse. There were many more issues to go along with our dining experience, but to wait 1.5hr in addition to 1hr and 45mins (cruise), and to eat nothing because the food was disgusting and leaving starving and unsatisfied, this shows a lot of volume of how they run a business. Please spend your money elsewhere or pack a picnic to enjoy Maligne Lake.

The restaurant is aptly named as the view is unbelievable! We especially had great time chatting with the server, Davie - he had us laughing the whole time. All the staff we met including Noah and both of the Eves were super friendly from the moment we walked up till the moment we left.

I was absolutely delighted by my experience at "The View" in Jasper National Park. The breathtaking scenery left me in awe, and the warm hospitality of the staff truly enhanced my visit. The restaurant prides itself on providing fast and friendly service to ensure a memorable dining experience for visitors. Guests can expect a warm and inviting atmosphere while indulging in the finest comfort food.
It was our 1st day arriving in Jasper from the train station. A short walk away and we stumble on this cafe. There were seats available for walk in and the service was welcoming. We were seated quickly and able to put our luggage aside with their help. There was a great choice if waffles with good portion and there were choices of juices as well. It was reasonably priced and the waffles are crispy on the outside and the texture is chewy and moist, very delicious. Most importantly, Tejas, who is our service staff welcomed us in warmly and also provide outstanding service. We were well taken care of on our day of arrival. Tejas made a great difference to our day and we had a great meal there.

This is the best place we ate at in Jasper during our 5 day stay! We actually ate here twice because it was so good! Our waiter was awesome and the waffles and breakfast are out of this world! Highly recommend this place. You can come get a meal from here or get a dessert waffle!

A very nice place on the main street of downtown Jasper. Servers are attentive and friendly. The waffles are made fresh, but i find the portions a bit on the small side, and both our chicken waffles had a bit too much Mediterranean taste. The shakes are reasonable priced, and very tasty. They offer a large variety of desserts as well.

Amazing Breakfast Spot! We had a fantastic breakfast here. The food was excellent—especially the waffles! We tried the chicken & avocado and the maple blueberry waffles, and both were delicious. The view is stunning, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly, attentive, and great with kids. Highly recommend this place for a relaxed and tasty breakfast.

This restaurant is highly overrated. We had avocado waffle and sunrise waffle. The fried chicken was hard and dry. The avocado waffle was topped with plenty of spicy sauce, which was not matched with avocado. Sunrise waffle got little fried eggs which was also dry. Just worse than breakfast meal in any fast-food chains.

We were very surprised to find this kind of quality in a small town. The menu has a good assortment and not all the normal menu items from a traditional Italian restaurant found in the US. We ordered the Crab cakes as an appetizer and they were different, but very good. The sauce for them was very good. The Chicken Parm was also very good. They have an assortment of sauces to choose from. We also did the 12oz Rib eye. Presentation was nice on the cutting board and the flavor was out of this world. Good char and the seasoning. We would definitely come back here and highly recommend.

We had a phenomenal dining experience here, made truly exceptional by our server, Lovely. He was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive throughout the evening. His warm smile and thoughtful service stood out right away. I ordered a glass of wine, and he kindly offered a taste before pouring — a small but appreciated detail. We were a group of five and split the bill into three separate payments, and to our surprise, Lovely remembered exactly who ordered what without any confusion. He checked in on us at just the right times — never intrusive, always considerate. We finished dinner quite late (around 10:00 PM), and although the restaurant was clearly wrapping up for the night, Lovely never rushed us. He still asked if we wanted to order dessert, making sure we had the option to enjoy the full experience — even though we chose not to because of the time. The food was excellent. I especially loved the pasta. The mussel appetizer was a touch salty for my taste, but everything else was beautifully plated and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere was cozy, with relaxing music — an ideal spot for a date night or special evening. I’d definitely return if I visit Jasper again. Highly recommend!

Food was terrible. I feel that people are lying here and giving this restaurant undeserving stars. Grew up in toronto and went to New York (Tasted lovely Italian cuisine) However We need to be honest here. Me and my girl order a flatbread pizza.... The dough was not cooked thoroughly and the meat did not taste fresh. Majority of the food (we ordered pasta) did not taste fresh but tasted bland and old. My homegirl did not even finish her gelato ice cream and neither did I finish my tiramisu (I have a thing for sweets). Overall, the food did not taste fresh, was bland and felt the food was kept in storage for quite some time! Would not recommend. Second time not finishing a restaurants food in Jasper. What's going on Jasper??! However service was nice. Lovely was nice serving us!

Enjoy a wonderful atmosphere paired with delicious food and friendly service. Conveniently attached to the neighbouring hotel, it's situated on a street parallel to the train line where the Rocky Mountaineer stations, making it easy or the visitors. Be aware that street parking in Jasper (like Banff) requires payment by the app (scan the QR Code) - $4.50 per hour.

It’s generally okay, service was a bit iffy and my bratwurst was room temperature when they brought it back it still wasn’t great. But the food was really fast. If you are looking for an unpretentious breakfast in Jasper come here.

We had a hard time deciding on where to grab breakfast while staying in Jasper, and settled on Papa George's Restaurant based on kids menu options. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated, but we were not given any kids menus for our children. Our waitress then did not return and was busy chatting with the other staff. As I looked around the restaurant, there were only 3 other tables seated, two of which we're finishing their meals and one of which was waiting on their server. I asked if they had been waiting long and they said they were ready to leave, which is the point we were now at as well. Luckily the waitress returned and attended to both our tables. The service was definitely better after this point. We all enjoyed our breakfasts, and the kids devoured theirs. My wife and I were surprised at the portions for the kids meals given the pricing, so definitely worthwhile. The hash browns were delicious as was the bacon with was perfectly crispy. We'd return again and hope the service is a bit more attentive especially when guests are first seated.

Had dinner here with the kids. The children's menu is very simple. We got the mini burger and it was clearly a frozen patty served on a bun. No veggies, cheese or sauce. The adult menu items we got were ok. Nothing to write home about. The staff are very friendly and it has a nice atmosphere.
Vahid R — Google review
On August 19th at 7 PM, we dined at this restaurant and had a very disappointing experience. We placed our order at 7:15 PM, but the food wasn’t served until 8:54 PM — an incredibly long wait considering there were only three families dining at the time. My kids were starving by the time the food finally arrived. We ordered a salmon bowl and a beef steak for ourselves, and from the kids’ menu, we got spaghetti and a mini burger. I specifically requested a well-done steak, but what I received was completely burnt — bitter and almost inedible. I couldn’t even finish my meal. I informed the server, but she didn’t offer any apology or solution. The salmon bowl was extremely dry, lacking sauce, and the rice was undercooked — barely 30% done — so my husband couldn’t finish his meal either. As for the kids’ burger, it arrived without any sauce or cheese, and the patty was so dry that my 8-year-old couldn’t even chew it. The spaghetti was overly sauced. Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in Jasper. The food quality, service, and overall experience were extremely disappointing. I would not recommend spending your money here.
Jececa S — Google review
Top notch everything. Slightly disappointed that I got two pieces of bacon instead of three but they made up for it with phenomenal service and tasty everything. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious but beware if you are not into pulp; it’s chewy.
Beth N — Google review
This is the very first time when I was asked of why I didn’t pay a tip. And not just me, the server asked all my other 4 friends. This was so humiliating as I am a first year student who saved and came to have some time off. Most of all- tips is a choice, not a compulsion. I have been to so many eateries- this was my first experience where I was asked in such a derogatory way. There are so many nice places in jasper but I chose this as the ambiance looked nice but had such a mood spoiling experience.
Sehajpreet K — Google review
This restaurant blew my expectation. I figured this resturant would be average or good. However, this restaurant was excellent. The server was great, friendly and helpful. The food was good. I didnt expect my Wild Boar dish to be good. The sauce gave more depth and flavour to the boar. The portions are generous. Even the soups was delicious that I want to order another one. Shepherd's Pie is also good that I felt like I was at a British Pub. Dessert is also good. Unfortunately I do not remember what I ordered but it was good. The server told us that the dessert are made from local bakery not from mass produced bakery. Supporting local business is a big plus for me. The breakfast looks interesting and delicious. I will come back for breakfast. If I come back to Jasper, I would come back to this restaurant!!!

Service was not bad but food was subpar. The skillet was not hot. Crunchy chicken burger had 1 lettuce leaf, poor presentation. The chicken was good but not worth the price. The red wine beef brisket was very lean and the mustard was cheap. The apple crumble's ingredients were all separated, not baked altogether. Water tasted weird. They did the potatoes really nice (fries, mashed potatoes, etc.), but not worth $90 Staff was friendly.

Okay food for average prices. A little expensive in comparison to similar breakfast places, but is is in Jasper. The bacon was not the greatest. Not many options for side. I tried to substitute hashbrowns for fruit, it was extra charge. Other restaurants usually sub for no charge. Coffee was alright.

We decided to try it after being in jasper several times. We were pleased with the great fast and friendly service. Food was good, fast and hot. Inside is looking dated and old but Jasper is still rebuilding from the fires.
Bryan P — Google review
Not what it used to be. I’ve visited Smitty’s Jasper a few times over the years; I won’t be making that mistake again. I ordered the 1 piece fish and chips. The fries (chips) came in a tiny bowl. I dumped them out on the plate - it amounted to 10 fries. All from frozen. The single piece of fish was also obviously from frozen. The tartar sauce was tossed on the plate in a little packet. The coleslaw was about 2 teaspoons worth also in a tiny bowl. It was watery and disgusting. My hubby ordered an overpriced burger that was dry and looked as though the patty had been thrown on the grill freezer burn and all. Servers never asked how the meals were because I’m sure they know they are serving worse than jail food at ridiculous prices. I love Jasper, but Smitty’s is not helping their post-fire recovery efforts. Do better Smitty’s management and owners. You’re doing a disservice to an amazing town.

Kimchi House is a cozy eatery in Jasper, offering traditional Korean cuisine with the option to customize the spice level. The restaurant's warm ambiance features red walls adorned with Korean art. Diners can enjoy dishes such as BBQ meats and vegetables, seafood pot stew, sizzling chicken, stir-fries, hot garlic squid, spare ribs, dumplings, and tempura.
Amazing Korean food. Tasty Kalbi (short rib) BBQ on sizzling plate. Korean Bi Bim Bab with beef served in a hot bowl. The sauce was delicious. Kim chi was a bit too spicy and probably over fermented (with alcohol smell), but edible. Anyway, the two mains made up for it. We were not expecting to find a good Korean place in Jasper.
Khun M — Google review
One of the best Korean restaurants I’ve ever been to, I came with my family and friends with a total of 8 people. They had various tables which can be linked to have all 8 of us to eat at the same table but unfortunately it wasn’t done. Although the food was amazing, I’ve ordered #7 which I highly recommend. Unfortunately my other 6 of my family and friends departed with major stomachaches which is why my star has decreased to a 4/5 stars. Overall this place is amazing and the employees are well mannered.
Ellerie L — Google review
This is a Filipino owned restaurant that serves Korean food cooked by Filipino chefs. It is not authentic and food was below mediocre. There was no wait and server just pointed to a table for us to sit. I ordered the Woo Dong which came with beef and vegetables but the beef were beef slices that were chopped into very tiny pieces which made it difficult to eat. It felt like I was eating bits and pieces of leftover meat. Broth did not taste particularly like anything… slight sweetness at best. By the end of our meal, there was only us and one other table. No servers to be found. My boyfriend had to walk to the kitchen to get someone’s attention to grab our bill. Very disappointed experience. For the price, you have better options.

We were so excited to find a Korean restaurant in Jasper, but unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The food was not as authentic as we had hoped, and to our surprise, this was the first Korean restaurant we’ve ever been to that charged extra for side dishes (banchan). The biggest letdown, however, was the service and organization. It was clear the restaurant couldn’t handle the number of guests they were accepting. After placing our order, we waited over an hour for our food to arrive, and the dishes for our group of three were served more than 15 minutes apart. It turned into a long, frustrating dinner. The servers seemed overwhelmed, rushing around the restaurant while continuing to seat more customers even though they couldn’t keep up with the orders. To top it off, the portion sizes were very small, especially considering the prices and wait time. Overall, a very disappointing experience—we wouldn’t return.
Jessie W — Google review
A nice Korean restaurant to come in Jasper. The food was good enough, the atmosphere was ok, but the service quite weird. Staff were like not trained, brought the wrong dishes, wrong table. When they brought to us, they just stood still there, staring at us and waiting us to clean the table for them to put the dish on. Anyway, the food came quite fast, and the portion quite big, a little salty though.
Victor L — Google review
Side dishes (banchan) are not free here, unlike most other Korean restaurants, which was quite surprising. We ordered several hot pot soups and had to wait quite a while for them to arrive. The price is around $24 per dish, and the portions are not very large. Maybe the higher price is due to being in Jasper. Not sure. The overall experience was not great, definitely not a place I would recommend.

Had dinner at Kimchi House. It was awesome to have some Korean food after eating burgers and sandwiches for a few days. The restaurant was packed at 7:30 PM on a Wednesday night but got seated in less than 10 minutes. We tried the tteokbokki and dinner for 2 that had a soup, spicy chicken bulgogi and beef bulgogi. Everything tasted amazing! Have never had broccoli and mushrooms in these dishes before and maybe it was Chefs take on the dishes but it was all delicious. We loved every bite of it and highly recommend stopping here for dinner when you are in Jasper.

This is not an authentic Korean restaurant, they don serve the side dishes like kimchi and the rice / corn tea. The soy bean paste soup Is too salty, but the Soon-Doo-Boo Jegoe is good. The Woo dong, Bul Go Gi seasoning is too sweet. Kun Mon Doo is nicely fried.

Aalto is a romantic restaurant located in Jasper, Alberta, offering an exceptional dining experience amidst stunning scenery. The name "Aalto," meaning wave in Finnish, reflects its inspiration from Scandinavian flavors and the concept of lake food. Situated by Pyramid Lake with views of Pyramid Mountain, the restaurant crafts dishes that highlight regional flavors infused with Nordic essence. The menu features fish, shellfish, Alberta-raised beef, and fresh salads that evolve with the seasons.
My daughter and I stayed at the lodge and enjoyed Breakfast and Dinner at Aalto. Both experiences were really special in their own way. The food was so well done and leveled up the incredible atmosphere with windows over the lake. It was so good. The third element of any dining experience was also so well done. The service. Emily took such good care of us for breakfast and made us feel so welcome. She was extra kind to my daughter which always makes a parent beam. Then. Shawn took care of us for our dinner the following night in front of the huge cozy fireplace. He was personable and kind and made us feel seen as well. It was a memorable stay much in part due to this great restaurant. Great staff and an experience all around! Props to Emily and Shawn!

We visited Aalto in Jasper with another couple and it was an unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant has a warm, modern atmosphere, perfect for a special occasion. We had the salmon and the bison—and every bite was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was exceptional: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. The wine and cocktail selection complemented our meals perfectly, adding to the overall experience. Aalto is the perfect spot for a celebratory dinner, offering a combination of excellent food, welcoming ambiance, and top-notch service. Highly recommend!

We visited this restaurant in late September 2025. We were seated near the window. Unfortunately, it was already dark outside, so we missed out on what I’m sure would have been a beautiful view of the lake. The interior, however, has a wonderfully Canadian charm, which we absolutely loved! Now, on to the food… it was simply amazing! We shared the cheese plate as an appetizer, and the variety and combination of flavors were excellent. For the main course, I had the bison. The first piece was good, though not spectacular, but the second was incredibly tender and absolutely delicious. The accompanying sauce complemented the meat perfectly. My girlfriend had the tenderloin, which was also beautifully cooked — very tender and full of flavor. Overall, we had a wonderful evening here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area

Excellent dinner overlooking Pyramid Lake and the yellow Aspen lining the shoreline. The bison was delicious, with a rich sauce, and the duck breast with cherry sauce was exceptionally good one of the best preparations we’ve ever had. Crème caramel was like a rich flan, and the pavlova was an elegant, large meringue with blueberry compote. Andrea was friendly and helpful, even when it came to hiking recommendations. A lovely evening! (“No Wait” because we booked on Open Table - reservations strongly recommended.)

Opportunity for greatness exists! But not actualized. Dim the lights by 50%, add area rugs to cut down noise. Amazing location and good bones but seriously: the food was not good. Pappardelle noodles were great but drowned in cream with literally one bite of chicken and no more. Brussel sprout salad was too salty to eat. Amazing location tho!

Felt like a punishment to eat here - horrible food and horrible service, the beet fungi salad had only one beet and was mostly greasy and deep fried for 37$ - the chicken papardelle tasted like warm mayo chicken salad with noodles, also way overpriced. View was nice though. Save your money and go somewhere else!

This was my first time in Jasper and this restaurant really took it to the next level. We first went there for brunch in the morning and it is the most gorgeous setting. There are these huge windows and you get to sip your tea and enjoy the best house-made bacon you've ever tasted. Brunch was delicious, quick to the table and hit all the right spots. Austin made sure we were well attended to. 10 out of 10. lt was so good we came back for dinner. For dinner we had the pretzels, the scallops, the brussel sprouts, tartar, different cocktails and a dessert so amazing we got a second one to go! Our super sweet server Charlie helped point us in the right direction with our snacks with excellent pairings!! All of it tantalize the taste buds and intrigued the senses. Staff is beyond friendly and very informative. We were lucky enough to have chef Andrew stop by for a quick hello and a little chocolate treat at the end. Views are to die for you. Need to check this place out. I couldn't have dreamed up a better night. I attached a picture of the night... The food was too good not to eat before thinking of a camera. You just have to come try it

The Emerald Lounge, situated within the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Canada, boasts stunning views of the lake and mountains. Guests can enjoy delicious food, live music, and a cozy atmosphere with roaring fireplaces. The lounge is open all day until late and offers a welcoming vibe for visitors to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings.
Chicken wings and the charcuterie boards are fantastic. I love getting a drink and a snack while curling up by the fireplace with read, with a view of the mountains. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Service is usually very attentive. Can’t beat the atmosphere.

Nice spacious area to have a meal. Portions were large but the taste was just so so. Food took a long time to come out even though it was about 20% occupied. Cool atmosphere and free parking. WiFi was very very slow.

Quite unfortunate compared to the old days. Used to live here about 2 decades ago and their food has gone quite downhill. With regard to the Great Hall, their menu has become generic instead of being unique to the park area, and their food quality and service are not very good (to say the least). For example, my poke bowl was essentially just a mayo and rice bowl. The rice was very cold and dry, and the other toppings seemed plentiful at first glance but it was all very small pieces that were drenched in mayo. The fish and chips were appalling - it was essentially 2 small pieces of fish skin with no flavour, and 6 wedges for $33. The fries with the burger seemed store bought. The service was incredibly slow and almost non-existent. What we thought would be a 1.5 hour lunch turned into a 3 hour meal because no one was coming to serve us, and it took over 45 minutes for our dishes to come out. The dining area and outdoor patio was almost empty, despite it being peak lunch hours. The fact that the bill was $140+ for this lack of food quality and service was definitely the worst thing. All in all, it’s a shame to see what this place has come to, as it used to be a bustling restaurant with unique flavours of the Rockies.

I had an amazing dining experience. The chef Tomas, Benjamin(Hayden), Tal did an outstanding job -every dish was perfectly prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really tell how much effort and passion goes into their cooking. The server Carra was equally impressive — so friendly, attentive, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Truly a wonderful experience from start to finish — I’d love to come back again soon and try more of their dishes!

The staff at The Emerald Lounge Restaurant deserve a special mention. Their warm and attentive service added to the overall enjoyment of our meal. They were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also eager to accommodate our requests, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The ambiance of the restaurant is both inviting and charming. The patio, which overlooks the picturesque lake, provided a breathtaking backdrop to our evening. Dining with the tranquil waters of the lake in view added an element of serenity and beauty to our meal. And let's not forget about dessert! The pastries we indulged in were nothing short of divine. Food is in good quality, atmosphere is great. The staff needs more training. In my case, she did not inform us that there was no Taco bread for Taco and bring only fried fish. It was surprise. The burger was overcooked.

Nestled just a scenic 10-minute bike ride from downtown Jasper, Tekarra Restaurant has been delighting diners since 1952 with its charming wood-paneled ambiance and upscale modern Canadian cuisine. This cozy cabin in the woods offers an inviting atmosphere where guests can savor gourmet dishes crafted from local ingredients like AAA Alberta beef, elk, bison, wild boar, and rainbow trout.
Fine dining in a cozy family setting. Father (owner) and daughter served us with efficient ease. The short ribs were very tasty. The serving were large - would have been happy with a half portion of the pasta.

Fine dining place with some unique dishes. Nice presentation of the food. The small plates in the menu are smaller than expected, not typical for Albertan restaurants.

Not sure why the restaurant didn’t take this entertainment book coupon and it was kinda of embarrassing that it was our first time that one vendor doesn’t take the coupon from entertainment book. I mean if you don’t want to give out the discount why advertise yourself in the entertainment book? We got the App from entertainment book and we showed them and they refused to give out the discount saying never seen it before and they don’t even have a code for it...Food was very delicious and high quality and service was good too. Jus a bit disappointed and embarrassed.

Ate at an outdoor table at Takarra Lodge, beautiful weather in July. Unlike previous reviews the waitresses were prompt to take our orders and the four orders came quickly. The bison short rib, trout, and chicken dinners were all excellent. Was not expecting fine dining in such a remote location but was very impressed, highly recommended.

Really dissapointed...probably the worst restaurant experience I've had in Jasper. I ordered smoked salmon sushi. I understand that it's under the small plate call him but honestly what you get is nowhere near worth the price of $17+tx+resort fee. you get 6 medallions about one centimetre thick each. All in all when you put them together it's about 1/2 to 3/4 the size of your typical hand roll and 80% of it is either rice or the deep fried panko crumb. The flavour was also nothing to write home about and came purely from the spicy mayo and a brown sauce that was drizzled on top. I would probably never order something like this again especially as it was nothing different from a grocery store hand roll that I could probably get at about half the price. The restaurant advertises itself in various Jasper magazines as a foodie Paradise what I was served today hardly fits the description.

Nestled in the heart of Jasper National Park, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is a luxurious retreat that recently underwent a multi-million dollar renovation. Set on the picturesque Lac Beauvert, this upscale lodge offers a range of accommodation options including elegant rooms and suites in the main building, as well as historic log cabins dating back to the 1920s.
Loved our stay at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, and hope to return someday. 10/10 reccomend the Jr suite in BayView Cabins (#116 had a great view!). Room was updated, spacious with an A frame window view of the lake, & comfortable couch/seating area. Service & Staff was top notch, everyone was so beyond friendly and helpful. Saw lots of families, people with dogs, and couples of all ages. Great hiking loop right around Lake Beaumont. Elk all over, including right outside our cabin! Bingo, trivia, yoga, fitness classes. Spa, pool and hot tub, gym, was so fancy and nice. My only negative was the service at the Great Hall restaurant was so slow.. but we realize we are not restaurant people and just ordered room service after that. Thank you for a great trip, JPL! It was fun knowing the Queen was here before too!

Truly magnificent 4-night stay last week! Words cannot fully capture all the magic that is Jasper National Park, the Town of Jasper, and of course, the iconic Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge!! Needless to say, my stay was beyond perfect, and I could not ask for a better experience overall, from check-in to check-out. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing luxury mountain experience in the Canadian Rockies, then look no further than the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, which always manages to exceed all expectations, both in terms of its picturesque location and for the hospitality and service by every member of “Team JPL.” I firmly believe that outstanding service must be recognized, appreciated, and thanked. Therefore, I’d like to make mention of quite a few exceptional and standout members of the JPL Staff. Sorry for anyone who I may have missed, the staff here are all best-in-class, and they make the experience better-and-better, every time I visit! To start, thank you very much, Jake, for a consistently seamless and warm check-in & front desk experience. You make the property feel like home, and I appreciate you sir, always going the extra mile, and undoubtedly one of the best team members throughout all of JPL!!! Ellie at both the coffee shop and golf course is SO FRIENDLY, I can’t say I’ve ever met a more positive and energetic team member! Tilley at the coffee shop was great, as always, and she makes a super tasty latte. Patrick (or Cappy) at the valet was extremely helpful & friendly, as was Mitchell C, who was overseeing the operations at the front of the hotel/luxury property (valet, bell service, etc.). I had excellent conversations with both of these great team members, and very much appreciate their warm welcome & hospitality at the front of the property. Dan and Jacob at the boat house were delightful and very pleasant, and these are two of the best guys I’ve ever come across in all my travels! Karyna at the health club and pool was absolutely incredible, and she really does everything she can to ensure guest satisfaction! Additionally, Matthew Adams at the golf course was absolutely amazing & extremely friendly, alongside Reno, who helped check me in to my cart for probably the nicest last day on the course in 2025. Phenomenal service at the Spa for 3 days of treatments too, and I cannot thank Bailey, Meagan, and Morgan enough for such great hospitality, services, and treatments at the world-class JPL Spa! I had the best massage of my life from Morgan, and will guaranteed return for another. Orso servers, Tim and Christina, were very pleasant… I truly appreciate their menu and wine recommendations, and especially their prompt and always friendly service. The Chef here also deserves a very special mention, as the 3 meals, over 3 nights, that I had the privilege to enjoy (rib eye steak followed by lamb shank, and finally, turkey with a half chicken alfredo side), were all delectable & cooked to perfection. Each meal was SO FLAVOURFUL! Last but not least, thank you Daisy, on the Fairmont JPL texting line, for a friendly pre-check-in experience, and Jan (a supervisor), for accommodating my room type request. Thank you so very much to the entire JPL Team for making my stay so wonderful and flawless overall!! Truly world class luxury & hospitality, and an easy 10/10 review. I have already booked my next visit and I cannot wait for another perfect stay, at the best place in all of Canada!

Our three day stay at the Jasper Park Lodge was very memorable. Upon arrival and parking, we were greeted by a tall friendly gentleman by the name of Patrick, who held the front door, and directed us towards the reception desk. This was not the last time we would receive such assistance from staff and Patrick’s cordial welcome, we soon learned, exemplified one of the signature assets of the Jasper Park Lodge, a staff willing to go out of their way to help make your stay memorable. This was true of the wait staff in the restaurants, the valet and housekeeping staff, the reception desk, and the attendants at the fitness and aquatic center. We are grateful for their assistance and also the suggestions from various individuals, including Patrick, Anna, Bayong, Luca , and Christine among others about places to see and visit in the area. We also appreciated that we received an upgrade of our room, and had a superior room with a view of, and quite near Lac Beauvert, the beautiful lake which is a centerpiece to the property. During our stay, we enjoyed our walks along this and other lakes nearby, as well as watching sunrises and sunsets reflected in them. Dining-wise, the meals at the various lodge restaurants were excellent and filling, and servers were friendly and attentive. Morning breakfast not only was especially delicious but our table offered a beautiful view of the lake. We are grateful that we received complimentary valet parking, which proved to be necessary due to the parking restrictions caused by construction and property improvement work being carried out. The construction work proved for the most part not to be a major inconvenience during our stay. However, on our last day, we were surprised to find the road near our cabin closed off and we and others had to maneuver through a makeshift road arrangement to reach the main lodge to check out. A warning would have been nice. As for our accommodation, as stated earlier, we welcomed the upgrade and its location. The cabin was roomy and comfortable for the two of us. However, while appreciating the refrigerator (albeit a bit small) and coffee maker, we missed having a microwave. Since we had in-room food service one night and left overs from our pizza and other meals, a microwave would have come in handy for re-warming food and a welcome addition to the accessories in the room. Also, a small instruction sheet about the coffee maker might prove helpful. One other experience that we need to mention is the evening programs at the on-site planetarium. Jasper is a great place for star and planet-gazing, and the planetarium offers interesting programs. Overall, we would return to the Jasper Park Lodge on our next visit to Jasper. It is a beautiful place. We are especially thankful you to all who made our visit to the lodge and Jasper National Park enjoyable.

My husband and I came for the long weekend in November to celebrate our anniversary and it was nothing short of magical. We got engaged at JPL, and spent our honeymoon and now are having a baby so it was a special weekend. The team was fabulous, super attentive from the valet to room service to text requests everything was seamless. Our room was upgraded which was so special and we brought our dog for the first time and will be bringing her every time we go now. We especially had a fabulous breakfast on Monday Nov 10 and were served by Merjorie who was especially memorable. She was prompt, polite, attentive and was genuinely joyful to be around! She heard what a special place JPL was to us, and took care of our whole breakfast. We are so grateful for the extra mile she went to make our day and our stay perfect. People like her are the reason why we have stayed at JPL for all our milestones and will continue to do so. Thank you to the wonderful team! Note special shoutout to the staff who had moved their operations to the golf course the day before our arrival and still managed to make our stay seamless. Great job!

This resort is incredible. The food, the rooms, the setting, and the staff all add to the overall experience. The service by the staff was accommodating and they went above and beyond. Special recognition to Jan at the front desk, Kieran in the Orso restaurant, Prathulya and the floor manager of the gastropub. Our room was lovely, but warm. Even with windows opened it never seemed to cool off. We loved the view and the ability to walk around the lake. We really enjoyed our time and plan to return.

This hotel was one of our favorites in the world. The hot tub, pool, and steam room were magical! The grounds were very well kept. Although they were under construction our room was amazing and the hospitality from the staff and Calla (hotel dog 🥰) was unmatched. This included Paddy, Corey, Daniel, and many more who treated us like royalty! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Everyone was so nice and the property is truly one of a kind. If I had to make one critique, it would be to have the complimentary shuttle to and from town. The staff was able to accommodate us when the buses weren’t running, and it all worked out perfectly. We hope to be back!

It was my birthday weekend and I had seen all the activities that were offered from the hotel included in our stay and we decided to take advantage of it. From the accommodating my food allergies when making halloween cupcakes, to great prizes at Bingo, an informative Hotel History tour and more, we had a fantastic weekend. Thank you to Kaya, Stella, Jordan and Dan for a fun weekend and to Frixie, Merjerie for excellent table service. The location is beautiful and the layout of the cabins allows for a view of the lake for all.

All I can say is WOW! The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is like an upscale summer camp, complete with cabins, lakes, tennis/golf, and horseback riding. We booked this hotel very last when a forecasted rain/storm cut our anniversary canoe trip short. The staff was so welcoming at every interaction (valet, check in, spa, restaurant, etc.) and made us feel so welcome. They upgraded our room to a lakefront cabin with amazing views of Pyramid Peak and Lac Beauvert. We were there in late September so some of the restaurants were closed but both our dinner and breakfast were fantastic and we really enjoyed the delicious mocktails. The valet even remembered us from the previous afternoon when we came to main lodge for breakfast and commented how we made the right choice to end our canoe trip early since it was pouring down rain. While this is the only Fairmont hotel I've stayed at, I have stayed at multiple other 4 and 5 star hotels and the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge was by far one of the best. If you can afford it, don't even look at other hotels in the Jasper area.

Wow wow wow. This place has wicked food! Literally! Their veggie burrito and VLT tasted so good. They have fresh pastries as well. Their muffins are delicious. Their flavoured latte was good but a little bitter.. I’d go for a regular latte next time. They have great and quick service. It is such a beautiful breakfast place to enjoy in Jasper with a mountain view. We went there on our last day and we wished we had known of it earlier. I recommend trying it at least once while in Jasper!!

Their breakfast was excellent. The pancakes were good and bacon was prepared the way I like it, crispy and not greasy. Hash brown was excellent too. It was nice way to start the morning in Jasper. I had drip coffee and iced Americano. It offers 2 coffee drip coffee options but non dark roast coffee had dark roast taste to it. Otherwise I would enjoyed the coffee more.

One of my favorite pizza joints in Canada! Such friendly staff and clean restaurant. Conveniently located on the main drag in Jasper. Chose my own ingredients: pepperoni , mushrooms & anchovies. They pile on the toppings and a ton of cheese !!! Make your own or choose from the menu. They also have a wide variety of meal offerings. I posted the entire menu. I stop in here whenever I can. There weren't many Pizza places open in Jasper when we came through and this one seemed to have some of the better ratings, but we weren't excited about it. We ordered a couple of pizzas. The largest you can get is 12 inches. We also had declined an order of cheese bread but for whatever reason they made it and charged us for it ($20), he offered to refund it, but I felt bad since they had already made the bread. So he offered us a couple of free sodas. We ate half of each of the 2 pizzas we ordered, which were again only 12 inches in diameter. They were mediocre at best. Definitely not a place I would return and order from again. The service was good, but food. Was definitely not to my liking.

When we came it was not busy, there was no one in the restaurant. We ordered a large loaded pizza to go. The pizza took about 15 minutes to make which is pretty standard. The pizza looked ok when we got it, although it probably could have been baked longer to get the cheese more toasted. Taste wise it's ok, nothing life changing especially considering the price. But what really bothered us is the bottom of the pizza was really soggy. The crust was crispy but near the middle (and anywhere in the 2nd picture) you can see there is a lot of water for some reason. Probably the toppings were not properly drained of water before putting them on the pizza. As a result a majority of your slice will be soggy, only the crust was dry. The soggy texture was really off putting. Overall, I wouldn't come again.

As great as the location is, there was basically no cell service. I did manage to get 1 text through but was hard to communicate with another party coming through that I was hoping to meet.

Stayed here for one night while travelling along the parkway from Lake Louise to Jasper. For what we paid, this place was pretty disappointing but it is one of the few options available on the parkway. Staff at check in was great. Room (cabin king) was clean but dated. Bathroom had no fan, walls in the bathroom were a little mouldy and the door wouldn’t stay open. Dinner at the restaurant was quite good given location but odd that we had to get up to order at the counter. Also not cheap. Breakfast buffet was the worst I’ve had at a hotel in recent memory. If doing again I’d drive the 45 minutes and stay in Jasper - far better lodging and dining options there for what we paid.

I'd give a lower rating but Christine was super helpful and cheerful! The wifi needs to be improved because I needed it to catch up on work and only found out it's basically nonexistent in the rooms after taking to front desk. You have to work in the restaurant or check in area to have decent speeds. Breakfast is acceptable but man their yogurt spread is so tart. Location is top notch if you want to catch sunwapta falls which we recommend since it's pristine and a 2 min drive away.

We had a beautiful stay at Sunwapta Falls Lodge- but what really made it was the lovely Brianna! She was so knowledgeable, warm & full of information about the surrounding area. Such a bright spirit (and such a professional!) We loved her reccomendations of Pyramid Lake, Otto's café & Jasper Brewing. (The korean fried chicken sandwich and the fireweed ale truly were delicious). Brianna made our trip memorable & we got to see Jasper through her eyes. Thank you again! :)

My wife and I stayed at Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge for three nights during our visit to Jasper National Park. We liked the location along the Icefield Parkway which gave us easy access to places like the Columbia Ice Fields, Athabasca Falls, and the attractions around Jasper. Jasper itself is about a 40 minute drive. Sunwapta Falls is just down the road and is worth seeing in and of itself. The room was as expected - not particularly luxe but had all the essentials including a wood-burning fireplace for cooler nights. There is ample free parking available. Staff were friendly and helpful, although we didn't have any specific requests or needs. The included breakfast had all the basics (cereal, oatmeal, bread and pastries, hot options, fruit, etc) and tasted great. We also had dinner at the lodge's restaurant one night which was delicious but a bit pricey, in my opinion. You can find better value in Jasper so I would recommend looking at options there before you head back for the night unless you need the convenience of dining on-site or if you are spending the day south of Sunwapta visiting the glaciers.

We are spending five nights here, viewing the gorgeous area. Very clean, comfortable rooms, very quiet, and great breakfast included. The customer service is amazing. We sit outside every evening and watch the sunset on the mountains. I highly recommend staying here over staying in Jasper. We travel the world extensively and been to over 50 countries, so I’m speaking from experience.

We loved it and came back twice. Staff was wonderful, fun and super kind! The cabins were perfect: cozy, super clean and just what you want after sleeping in a tent for days :-) JK, the beds are suuuper comfy!! The bison burger was devine! Hit every spot there is :-) We can recommend this lodge to everyone!! We’ll be back, for sure. Please visit it, when you‘re in the area!

Silverwater Grill & Lounge is a charming restaurant with an inviting atmosphere. The staff are attentive and accommodating, making the dining experience enjoyable. While there may be a bit of a wait, the food is well worth it, served promptly and hot. The menu offers reliable North American options with some rare and innovative choices. It's family-friendly but on the pricier side. Overall, it's recommended for its delicious breakfast and reasonable prices.
We had the pleasure of being served by Travis. We each shared the arrinicini for a starter and loved it. The new winter menu was simply exquisite and the atmosphere delightful after an afternoon of hiking. Will definitely be back!

Had breakfast a la carte here. Got the One Time which was okay, tasted like what you'd get from hotel buffet breakfast. Would recommend the House Made Waffle though which were great. Service was good. 3.5/5 overall.

We got the breakfast buffet, and the food is delicious, especially the pastries. Every pastry tastes so good.

Was very hesitant to eat here as I have an allergy to cheese and mushrooms. The waitress was phenomenal and worked with me until I had a meal I could eat. She also kept checking with the chef to make sure nothing had cheese in it. So although it’s not on the menu, my salmon was perfect and the marinara sauce on the spaghetti was very tasty. My aunt who died with me had the tomato soup and the focaccia and her experience was also wonderful. I would highly recommend this place if you’re in Jasper Canada.

My husband and I had a delicious steak dinner here while were staying at the hotel. Service was great and the atmosphere was perfect for settling down after a day of hiking. We also enjoyed the dark sky reserve theme espresso martini they had 😊

Stop serving pizza if you don’t know how to make one! I ordered one because I thought you can’t go wrong with pizza — but you guys proved me wrong. $28 for a piece of dough with eight slices of pepperoni. Super dry. I couldn’t taste any cheese or any of the other ingredients listed on the menu. The only reason I ate three quarters of it was because I wanted to eat together with my family, and we were starving after driving 1000 km. After I told them it was horrible, they gave me a 20% discount on the pizza. Wow … And by the way 10.5$ for a big sparkling water…

First time dining here and it won't be the last! It's a spacious room with an intimate atmosphere. My server Angelica was very attentive despite having a lot of tables. The little pre food snacks were a very nice touch. The food portions do not disappoint! I will be waddling back to my hotel after this delicious espresso martini im sure to regret come midnight but for now I'll enjoy the soothing sounds of their music as I sip away.

We were staying at the Lobstick Lodge next door and ate at the Silverwater Grill both nights. First night was really busy and we had to wait 10 minutes or so to be seated. We had a simple salad for an evening meal and it was really tasty and good value. The second night was much quieter and we had a really nice meal of salmon with salad and tortellini.

The Spice Joint is a popular Jamaican sandwich bar in Jasper that serves some of the best grilled cheese in town. The cafe is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, but is especially popular for its jerk chicken and apple turnovers.
This place is cozy with a great vibe. The owner is friendly and a lot of fun. I had the grilled cheese tuna melt and it was excellent - with nice, perfectly ripe avocado on it. My husband really enjoyed his chicken sammo. We shared a Jamaican beef patty just to try theirs out and it was also very good. Made in house. We’ll be back to take some home with us. Didn’t see the jerk chicken sandwich on the menu - we had had that before and it was REALLY good, maybe it’ll come back.

I visited everyday during my stay in Jasper. If I could, I would give it 10 stars! The owner is incredibly friendly, and every single dish I tried was absolutely delicious. Among them, I highly recommend the “Quinoa & Sweet Potato Wrap” with chicken added. It was amazing! If I ever come back to Jasper, I would definitely visit again!

Walters Dining Room stands out from typical hotel restaurants with its exceptional quality and affordable prices. Its elegant atmosphere is enhanced by the lush greenery of a four-story atrium. The menu showcases modern interpretations of Canadian cuisine, highlighting ingredients like Alberta beef and salmon. Patrons rave about their fabulous dining experience, particularly praising the visually stunning presentation and delectable taste of dishes such as the salmon with vegetables.
Really enjoyed the breakfast buffet by the fire for $21 per person. Coffee was pretty good as well. I see bad reviews but if u like classic breakfasts then you'll see value. If you expect fancy eggs Benedict on an avocado toast then go elsewhere. Good service
Emilio J — Google review
I was skeptical at first, as I usually avoid hotel restaurants for breakfast. Nine times out of ten I am disappointed. But this is that one time when I am glad I came here for breakfast. They have a decent layout for the buffet and some delectable choices on the menu. They even have a kids menu.
Adam R — Google review
The food is not very good, even off of the menu. The pancakes came with the syrup already applied. I never seen this at any restaurant in the world. You’re supposed to pour your own syrup. That way you choose the amount you prefer. With the syrup already applied, they were soggy and gross. How can you mess up pancakes? The service was friendly.
Jamie B — Google review
Scrambled eggs from the buffet were disgusting. Tasted/smelled like rotten egg or fish. Coffee was never refilled and I ended up having juice after asking twice. Staff is nice and so is the place but not the greatest way to start the day :(
Camila B — Google review
The buffet was okay, but nothing special, it was convenient. Service was not that great. Coffee was gross and there was no cream or milk available (even after being asked if I'd like cream for my coffee). Server rushed us at the end because the buffet was closing, we weren't told it was closing either, or we wouldn't have gone up for seconds. She was also a bit rude and awkward.
Ryan M — Google review
Worst place ever to have breakfast. We were there late morning when it was not busy. We waited a long time to be seated. I had to flag down a server and she said to grab menus and seat ourselves. Then the server comes, takes our order and never returns with our coffee. Again I flag down a different server and she brings our coffee at the same time our breakfast comes. We then have to ask for cutlery. Our eggs were disgusting and by then we were so frustrated with the whole experience that we just got up and left. The server notified the manager who came to see me. I explained to him everything that we experienced from beginning to end and that we would be going elsewhere for breakfast. He replied, " Well enjoy!" I was so mad that I went to the front desk to express how appald I was at the manager's incompetence...A while later I received a call from the hotel manager who credited us $50 towards our stay. That was appreciated.

Enjoyed dinner in my hotel tonight. They had a new menu sot it’d was a first night. I enjoyed a steak, fries, and onion rings item. The steak came cooked as I requested. In addition there was a sautéed kale and leeks and flavoured butter. It was quite delicious. My server was Evan and he was friendly and professional. I also had a house Cesar with gin ( my preference) with olives and a little olive juice. I finished with an apple crisp. Interestingly it had a marshmallow topping I thought might be too sweet but it was quite good. If I were staying longer I’d definitely go back.
David W — Google review
Dinner here were fabulous. I had salmon with veggies. The dish was not only beautiful, but it was the best meal I had during a nine day stay in Alberta. I am a foodie and visit some of the best restaurants in the world. I don't understand some of the reviews here, because Walters is definitely fine dining. First class service. First class food. I was staying at the hotel, so I tried the breakfast the next day and it was just as good. You cannot go wrong with the food at Walters.

Nestled in the heart of Jasper, Jasper Curry Place All You Can Eat Indian Buffet is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. This charming eatery offers a delightful all-you-can-eat buffet for both lunch and dinner, featuring an array of authentic East Indian dishes crafted from fresh, natural ingredients by skilled chefs. As you step inside, you're greeted by enticing aromas that set the stage for a flavorful adventure.
If you’re craving authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine in the heart of the Rockies, this place is a gem! The curries were rich and aromatic, the naan was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the service was warm and welcoming. We tried the butter chicken and paneer tikka masala—both were absolutely delicious. Portions were generous, and the spice levels were just right. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Jasper and looking for comfort food that hits the spot!

Best place to satisfy your cravings at a very reasonable and affordable price buffet. They deserve 5 star rating. Recommend to everyone.
Jai C — Google review
I have zero clue how this only has 3.6 average as of my posting. We were in Jasper for 3 days - and this place was so satisfying that we ate here ALL 3 DAYS. I'll admit I have a weak spot for Indian buffets, and this one is extremely affordable (around $22/person). But beyond that there was a great selection of great dishes. I loved the cold pasta salad, Onion Pakora, Chicken Korma (bone in chicken covered in sauce - SO flavorful), and the cliche but winner the Butter Chicken (extremely rich in flavor as well). Great naan and the dessert of coconut cream and rice as well. Everything made fresh, you can watch them tossing naan into the tandoor oven in front of you.
Nicholas K — Google review
A decent place with tasty food. As it’s a buffet the service is pretty quick. There are around 3-4 veg and 3-4 non veg options. There is onion bhajiya for starter and Rice pudding for dessert. Over all for the price it’s pretty good. And the fact that they are maintaining the low price even after going through a recent massive wildfires is great.
Sunil K — Google review
We had a good experience at Jasper Curry Place. It’s a self-serve, all-you-can-eat buffet with number of options at a fair price. We especially enjoyed the butter chicken, tandoori fish, naan, and kadhi paneer—all full of flavor and freshly made. The outdoor seating was nice with a beautiful view, and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Jasper and craving Indian cuisine!
Nima K — Google review
I recently visited this curry place for dinner, and while the service and outdoor ambience were wonderful, the food was quite disappointing. For a place specializing in curries, the taste was far from authentic. • The butter chicken tasted more like tomato chicken, lacking the rich, creamy flavor it should have. • Both the dal tadka and dal makhni were underwhelming and didn’t deliver the depth of flavor you’d expect. • The chicken itself felt stale, which further took away from the experience. Overall, while I appreciated the friendly service and pleasant atmosphere, the main aspect—food—was not up to the mark. If you’re looking for authentic and flavorful curries, I’d recommend exploring other options

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Review for Earls Jasper Earls in Jasper is hands down one of the best dining experiences in the Rockies. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere that blends mountain lodge charm with modern style. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable—our server made fantastic drink and food recommendations and checked in just the right amount to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell this team truly cares about customer experience. The menu was diverse and well-crafted, with something for every taste. Whether you're in the mood for a juicy steak, fresh seafood, or something plant-based, Earls delivers. The quality and presentation of the food was top-tier, and every bite was bursting with flavor. Bonus points for the great cocktail list and local craft beer options! What really elevates this location is the view. Great vibes, excellent service, delicious food, and scenery that rivals any restaurant in Canada.

Service & atmosphere were both fab. Lots of gluten free options including pudding, delicious cocktails too. The only reason it’s not 5/5 is because both steaks came slightly overdone. We requested medium but received medium-well. Food was all lovely nonetheless.

Very good experience. The restaurant itself is unique, the second story concept is nice but the stairs up are steep. Beautiful once you get up there and is nicely set up. We sat outside on the patio to enjoy the view, spectacular! The service was outstanding which is unusual in tourist town where getting good people is hard. The food was excellent, happy hour pricing is good deal an worth ordering. We had the Tuna Poke and chicken tacos and they were delious. Prices reasonable. Great experience. Recommend 👍

Good quality food the waiters are too busy so in the end I don't even know whos the waiter for my table, so I just randomly ask other waiter for help. But overall is good i'm satisfied.

We stopped in for happy hour and came back an hour later for sunset dinner. The views are amazing. The grapefruit smash and margaritas were delicious. We had a few oysters with fresh grated horseradish and a vinaigrette that was so good. The avocado dip was fresh and roasted corn added a great sweetness. Chips and salsa come free at happy hour and both were great. We had calamari as well again delicious. For our meal we did the surf and turf which was the only thing I was disappointed by. The steak, a ribeye, was over cooked and the “prawns” were just small shrimp with no flavor. Nonetheless we’d still go back again!
Kim C — Google review
I’m an Earl’s fan. Generally, I have a great dining experience at their restaurants. But not at this location. Received a lukewarm reception. Dined on the patio. Food arrived cold, and was disappointing (poorly plated and seasoned). Maybe they didn’t think they had to try because it was high season? Or because of the Jasper wildfires, tables were at a premium? I’ll chalk this up to a rare miss. But I won’t be eager to return, either.
Kathleen T — Google review
We were so lucky to stumble upon this place during our trip! They had a full plant based menu with clearly marked vegan options. The server was well informed of options. We had an amazing non alcoholic cocktail… the strawberry hibiscus mule. The bitters in it absolutely just made the drink. Sooooo good. We were able to sit on the patio with no reservations and the view was stunning. We had the Vegan Burger which was a real veggie patty and the Vegan Tofu Sesame Citrus Noodle Bowl. The bowl was outstanding! Every member of staff we spoke with was wonderful.

We all loved our experiences here I had the chicken and ribs, very good. Wife and son had pasta, both loved it. Daughter has salmon and said best salmon ever. And she eats salmon everywhere we go. We visited this restaurant twice during our stay in Jasper. It is located within the compound of the Jasper Inn and Suites, where we were staying. So it was a very convenient option for us. The food was really delicious. The ambiance was good too, especially in the patio. The Smoked Brisket Sandwich was juicy and loaded. The tomato soup and garlic bread were scrumptious. We also loved their fish and chips. The service staff were friendly and welcoming. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but we found the whole experience to be worth it.

I’m finally leaving a review after 4 weeks straight, staying at this hotel and eating most meals here. At first it seems a decent place to eat. The buffet breakfast was good and the steak I had was decent. As I continued to come back, it just kept going down hill. Service is not great at all. Last night and tonight, both different waitresses never came and asked how my meal was. I could even eat my meal last night, it was so terrible. It was the chicken club. I ate half and pushed it aside. No questions asked to why I didn’t finish it or nothing. Tonight I asked for coffee. It was ice cold. I downed it hoping they’d ask me if I wanted a refill. No, never asked. Coffee set empty the entire meal. It seems the staff care more about chit chatting with each other than looking after their customers. The table up by the tv in the lounge seems like a common area for them to hang out and chat with each other. While I like staying here at the hotel, I think I’ll be finding other places for my meals.
Bruh L — Google review
Great service! The place is a bot of run down but everyone is nice. We came in around 8pm. Best dish is their fish and chips. Steak is better than what we had at a much fancier restaurant at Banff.

The Inn Grill is an absolute hidden gem in Jasper. For such a small town, I was blown away by the quality of food they’re serving—it’s fresh, flavorful, healthy, and made with real care. The menu has a ton of variety, with creative dishes that taste like something you’d expect in a big city, not the middle of the Rockies. Prices are fair, portions are generous, and the staff are genuinely warm and welcoming. What really stood out to me was the kids’ menu. Instead of the usual fried or overly processed options, they offer ultra-healthy choices like grilled chicken, fresh salads, and other wholesome plates that kids actually enjoy. It’s rare to find a restaurant that puts so much thought into kids’ meals, and as a parent, I really appreciated that. Overall, The Inn Grill completely exceeded my expectations—it’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. If you’re in Jasper, don’t miss it!

A late-night dinner at The Inn Grill, inside the Jasper Best Western Inn & Suites. I’d not known Best Western’s to have their own restaurant before and this was quite nice. The restaurant is part of the main lobby building, and is open to non-guests, as well as those who are staying at this hotel. We dined in the Courtyard Atrium with big windows looking at the Garden Terrace, which was closed because it was rainy outside. Dinner was nice. I had the Buffalo Meatloaf wrapped in Bacon. It was quite tender, layered, huge, and expensive at $24. It was also more than I could eat. My partner had the Sirloin Tips. The ambience was nice and the server was attentive. There is parking, but it is not separate from the hotel.

Karouzos Steakhouse is a great place to go for big portions of internationally themed steak. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were delicious. The prices are also very reasonable.
5/5 for service, food, and atmosphere. Patio and indoor dining Great customer service. (A Child in our group required some food earlier than us and they accommodated us without fuss.) Excellent food, steak was prepared as I requested and my sides were delicious and the portions were filling. Appetizers were also quite tasty, I tried the mussels, recommend them highly. It has a nice open feel that helps you feel comfortable not rushed to eat and pay. Super friendly staff as well. Will return next time in the area.

Had to rate it a three due to the main course steaks 🙈. The entrees started on such a high, Pita and Tzatziki and the Wings with Thai Chilli - delish! We ordered two Ribeyes for mai and were convinced to change one to the 14oz Prime Rib - bad idea. They sold the prime rib as slow cooked (that’s all fine) and that it would be seared like a steak. It was not. It felt like a slow cooked pot roast prime rib and was not seared on the outside and so did not meet any steak expectations. It was more like a roast. Such a let down 😔

Very nice outdoor patio, delicious food and good service. We ordered the seafood fettuccine and the jambalaya penne and thought it was really good. Perfectly cooked seafood and amount of sauce. Portions were smaller than you would expect, my husband was still hungry. Service was friendly, quick and the best on the patio was awesome!

We went to this restaurant 5 years ago. It was great then. So we decided to go back. Their food is still amazing.!! My husband loved his prime rib. I had the Salmon, I think it was the best salmon I've ever had! Even my broccoli was good! As for out drinks, my husband had a Folding Moutain Lager, witch he said was really good. I had a Long Island Ice Tea. Witch was good as well. The staff were super friendly they seat everyone staggered so you are not right next to someone. I highly recommend this place.

Where to start? As a family, we appreciate dining in-house in the restaurant or on the outdoor patio, but we also appreciate the option of take-away when eating at home suits our schedule better. We've feasted upon and thoroughly enjoyed our go-to choices which include chicken souvlaki, char-broiled steak, rack of lamb, hand-formed bacon-cheddar-mushroom beef burger, Karouzos 'special' pizza, prime rib and Greek salad. There's an excellent wine selection and they can make a mean martini. And the desserts... Oh my gosh (if you have room because the entrees are sizeable) The last time we ate there we shared a Skor bar cheesecake, the time before Galaktoboureko was available and it was fantastic. Eat where the locals eat and you won't be disappointed.

Went here for a walk in dine in experience and it was absolutely amazing. The food was absolutely perfect and the old fashioned... was the best old fashioned I have ever had, and my favorite was the keg. The atmosphere was perfect, nice and relaxing and with the best view you could ask for. Our server was extremely bubbly and friendly making the whole experience an absolute joy. Would definitely visit again. Thank you Ari and the Altitude team for making it an unforgettable experience.

I appreciate the fact that they have all these nice amenities near the natural wonders. It can be tricky, bringing all these many tourists to places that are both awe inspiring, and fragile. The Altitude Restaurant has a full buffet that can pretty much satisfy most appetites. It has plenty of cold salads, hot entrees, desserts and beverages. The views outside the windows were spectacular. Most of the help was new, but eager, and friendly. Would recommend to others visiting the area.

I recommend to have a reservation book for breakfast and dinner! We had our dinner here on June 10 and were served by Taylor and Geraldine. Both are sweet and awesome. It was our honey moon, and when Geraldine knew about it she made our desert on the house. Isn't that sweet 😊 Taylor was super friendly host, hyping us for matchy matchy outfits and drinks. We really indeed have a good time here.

Food was just ok to fill our hungry tummies after the great adventure. There are variety of options for food like salad, sandwiches, pasta, meat and desserts. I have to rave about the view which was more than amazing!! My husband and I sat outside and enjoyed the marvelous view while we dined.

Worst food I had in AB. Seafood chowder tastes like vomit, kids pasta is salty, Caesar salad too much lemon juice makes it too sour. Beef is not the worst, and Alberta lamb is by default medium rare but you can’t even cut it with knife, too much sinew. Waitress is sassy. This level of food and service is not fine dining for sure. If you stay at the lodge I don’t recommend you dine in here.

We stayed one night in the Glacier View lodge and had both dinner and breakfast in the Altitude restaurant. Both experiences were wonderful! The food was delicious and service was excellent! The views and atmosphere were fantastic as well. Highly recommend!

Be advised: Altitude Restaurant prioritize tour groups over walk-in customers until after 2:30 pm most days, so don’t rely on this restaurant for lunch. It costs $49pp. The only alternatives are their cafe (Chalet) or Starbucks downstairs. This three-storey building caters to hundreds of people at any given time, so it is always very crowded. If I was heading towards Jasper, I’d go up to the first-floor balcony to take a selfie. Enjoy the view for a moment and then drive to Sunwapta Falls Rocky Mountain Lodge restaurant (30 minutes down the road). It’s a charming little spot with an open fire, decent food and good service.

Great place for dinner. Made a reservation so we wouldn’t have to wait (October) but there wasn’t a line anyways. Definitely worth it for the location and quality of the meal.

Located in Jasper, Alberta, O'Shea's is a classic hotel dining room that has been serving guests since 1921. The restaurant offers a wide range of Canadian comfort food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. From Alberta steaks to British Columbia salmon, the menu features an array of options including burgers, pasta dishes, chicken, and stir-fries. The establishment also includes a sports lounge for patrons to enjoy.
My husband and I ate here in mid-June. He ordered the Fish and Chips and I got a Steak Sandwich. We both enjoyed our meals. Our waitress was lovely and we had a great conversation with her. We went early before it got busy, so it was nice and quiet and the waitress was attentive. We would recommend eating here.

Great dining experience in Jasper. If you like a touch of historical experience with some delicious meat - this is the place for you. The best part about this restaurant is the ambience and that it shares space with the historic hotel.
Vinit D — Google review
We ended up having lunch at O'Shea's, the restaurant inside The Athabasca Hotel, because our VIA Rail train was delayed, and passengers were given lunch vouchers to use here. Unfortunately, it was a very unpleasant experience. We arrived around 12:00 noon, when the restaurant was about 70% full, so it wasn’t overly busy. We stood at the entrance for several minutes. Two servers saw us multiple times but didn’t greet us or acknowledge us, instead walking past us repeatedly. One young female server with glasses even looked directly at us, then went table to table asking other guests, “Is everything all right?”, completely ignoring us. Only after we proactively spoke to another server, who seemed slightly more polite, did she glance at her colleague and say, “Okay, wait a moment.” We waited several more minutes before the young server with glasses finally seated us — with a very forced smile and no proper greeting. After we sat down, she handed us menus and asked if we were ready to order. We said we needed a bit more time, and she walked away. Then she didn’t return for a very long time, so I had to get up and walk to the entrance to find her so that we could finally place our order. It really felt as though these two servers were deliberately avoiding us, and we honestly don’t know why. The whole experience was uncomfortable, like there was some silent hostility, which made the meal very unpleasant. As for the food, it was disappointing: The French onion soup came with a huge chunk of mozzarella cheese on top. It was very hard to cut or eat and didn’t blend well with the soup at all. The tuna poke bowl was especially poor. It seemed randomly thrown together with Thousand Island salad dressing, which completely clashed with the ingredients. Compared to poke bowls we’ve had elsewhere, like at JOEY Restaurant, it felt like they didn’t know how to make poke at all. Overall, this was a very negative dining experience — poor service and mediocre food. Even though the lunch was included due to the train delay, we would not return and do not recommend this restaurant.

This is are new favorite restaurant to have dinner at when we come to Jasper. 10/10 amazing. First off history lovers its in the coolest building 1916 hotel. In which Bing Crosby Visited the Athabasca Hotel in 1946 during the filming of The Emperor Waltz. Marilyn Monroe Stayed at the hotel in 1954 while filming River of No Return. We went for dinner at around 6:45pm. We head inside and the host was quick to seat us. There was like one other table with a family at it other then that nice and quite. The food was amazing and you feel fuel when done but not heavy and sluggish like other restaurants. The meals were delicious and so healthy. Highly recommend the Atlantic Salmon. About $30 a plate on average.

I came here to have a few drinks before supper. They have a vast choice of alcoholic beverages which is great, but the service was not the best especially because the waitress had not come back to the table after giving us the drinks. I also waived at her 3 times to have the check, before she saw me. I sat on the terrace and it was good. Very small however, and their huge plant pots really don't help. The prices were okay and i do recommend.

Becker's Gourmet Restaurant is a hidden gem located just five minutes south of Jasper, along the picturesque Icefields Parkway. This charming eatery boasts a classic mountain ambiance, featuring warm wood and stone decor that creates an inviting atmosphere. Diners are treated to breathtaking views of Mount Kerkeslin and the Athabasca River, making every meal feel like a special occasion.
My son was pleased with his Elk Steak. So were my husband and sister with their Salmon. Our Nay liked her Minestrone soup. My red bean soup was delicious, especially with the multi-colored crunches; however, I wish it’s not as thick. It was filling so I didn’t need my Lobster Cake appetizers. There’s lobster taste in it and the slight crunch was good but its flavor was dominated by other ingredients. Mr. Zach is a likable conversationalist😊. He recommended Pyramid Lake where there is a walking bridge to an island for a better view of the Pyramid mountain! I like the light stained wood ceilings and walls of this restaurant. The chalets look inviting to stay at🤩. The view is as beautiful. They also have Adirondack chairs on the grass along the side facing the river and mountains.

Beautiful place for dinner or getting breakfast . They have Breakfast buffet , plenty of options to choose from. For dinner time they have good cocktails and mocktails to choose and the river side view is amazing . The pasta was good and so is the chicken Main course . We ordered the fish appetizer as well . Service was super fast ! Would definitely recommend this place .

The hiker salad with chicken was absolutely delicious. The dressing was really good and the chicken was a huge portion! I was looking to fuel my body with something healthy and delicious and this meal was perfect! My mother in law got the salmon crusted with pistachios and said it was delicious. Our waitress was fantastic, she had brown hair but I am forgetting her name! Thank you for the great service throughout our meal.

Appetizers were amazing and so were the drinks but it took a long time for us to get our mains courses. And when we did our steaks were flavorless and way over cooked. We asked for medium rare and they were hardly even pink. We could have sent them back to have them fixed but the waitress never returned and then we had to ask another waiter for a dessert menu and our bill. We complained about the $50 dollar meals that we never ate to him and then our waitress came with the desserts and said they were on the house. We left there hungry after paying $217 .

Delicious! Stayed at the Cabins for two nights and decided to dine in the restaurant on the Friday evening so we could relax after a long drive. We made reservations in advance, just in case. Our meals were devine! Sorry, there are no photos of the mains because we hungrily dove right in. My meal was elk steak, and they happily exchanged the sides to what was offered with the ribeye meal as I thought it would be better for my limited potato dinner. It blended so well with the elk that I was so happy I made the substitution. My friend enjoyed the bison bolognese and reported it was delicious as well. We decided to forego appetizers and had dessert instead. My dessert was the chocolate creme brule and was the perfect ending for my elk steak dinner. My friend had the chocolate tower cake, which was huge and equally delicious. Service was great - friendly and attentive without being bothersome. All in all, and excellent experience! Prices are a bit high and reflective of the quality fare - worth the price in my opinion.

We dined here Saturday evening. We had a beautiful view by the window. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our server was attentive and provided excellent service. We ordered the bison bolognese, and the elk steak. Both dishes were tasty, the portions were a generous size, the elk was perfectly cooked, and our plates came hot which means our dinner was warm to the last bite.

We were visiting from out of country in August and we were recommended this restaurant from a local in town that worked at the visitor center . Our expectations were definitely exceeded from this place . From service (thank you again Amy for recommending your favorite chocolate towers cake and wine to go with the meal ) . There is a lot of great choices on the menu ( lots of great gluten free options ) . I will be recommending this for all my friends . This place was the best service we received in Canada .thank you for exceeding our expections

Montana's is a Canadian BBQ & Bar that specializes in fall-off-the-bone ribs, 100% Canadian steaks and burgers, as well as a variety of kid-friendly options. The portions are generous, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and well maintained.
We had a very good lunch experience at Montana’s BBQ & Bar. The chicken was juicy, had really good flavor and was perfectly cooked. We had chicken on a bowl, platter with ribs and the fried chicken. All were excellent! The ribs were excellent and the BBQ sauce had great flavor. The washroom walls and stalls were being wiped down and sanitized when we walked in and the washrooms were clean overall. Our server was pleasant and answered all of our questions. Loved this lunch spot in Jasper!

Had high hopes for what seems like a popular restaurant. First off the props, views were great and facilities were clean and liked the paper tablecloth to draw on while waiting. However the food didn't meet our expectations. We ordered the full rack ribs and harvest salad and a side of burnt ends. The ribs came out SO SMALL. The fries included wasn't much and cornbread came out cold. The salad came with dry apple slices that tasted cardboard-y and chicken was dry. Overall wasn't bad per say but we had hoped for better food especially on vacation

Supriya — Google review
Atmosphere was nice and view was beautiful, however the actual food and service did fall short. I ordered the spicy southern chicken sandwich and was disappointed as the lettuce was less fresh than even most fast food places I’ve been to and the flavour was mediocre. The chicken marketed as “spicy” was barely flavoured and the “spicy” sauce was not even coating the chicken as advertised, but rather a small portion was inside the burger with the other fillings, leaving much of the chicken without the sauce, and therefore with little to no flavour. This lead to me having to ask for additional hot sauce and needing to add a sizeable amount to the burger to make it taste like anything. As for the service, it was alright, but nothing remarkable. The food took around 45 minutes to arrive, despite the restaurant not being busy, which obviously wasn’t ideal. However, I must mention that the other guests I dined with, who ordered the ribs, were very pleased with the food. I assume the chicken just isn’t their strong suit which is understandable, but I would definetly not order this again or recommend to others.

The appetizers were fresh and flavorful, a perfect start to the meal. The steak was juicy, tender, and cooked just right — full of rich, smoky flavor.

The restaurant offers several amenities such as reservations, seating options, table service, parking availability and highchairs for families with young children.
We visited this restaurant and tried eight different dishes, every single one was excellent. But the skewer? Absolutely phenomenal. The best skewer we’ve ever had perfectly grilled, juicy, and seasoned just right. Great service and a pleasant atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Food was good, especially the brisket sandwich, but this place is quite pricey. However I would avoid ordering the cordon bleu, solely due to the price. It was $35 and the portion was ridiculously small (the left plate in the picture) The service was also very odd. I ordered a strongbow cider. The server brings me a blackberry somersby. When I let her know I ordered a different drink she goes to open the can and tells me “We dont have strongbow, but this is the same thing.” Really didn’t appreciate trying to have a different product passed off to me without even asking if I want a substitute. Especially considering I really dont like the substitute she tried to pass off to me. I understand running out of a product which happens. But giving me something completely different and telling me its “the same thing” put a bad taste in my mouth.

The food was decent but not worth the price. I wish they have more plant based option or improve the only option that they have. Paid $29 for this dish that didn't fill me and had to grab another meal somewhere in town. The service also needs to improve. Some staff were only there for the summer so they don't seem to care about the level of service that they provide.

Oka Sushi offers a unique and intimate dining experience with only one chef and server. The owner and chef, Tatsuhiko Okazaki, is known for creating delightful combinations using the freshest ingredients. Guests can sit at tables or at the small bar to watch the sushi being prepared a la minute. One of their popular dishes is the Jasper Roll, which features crab meat and shrimp served with a spicy sauce.
A must go whenever I’m in Jasper - I don’t even understand how the fish is so fresh here. Advanced reservation is a must, there’s only seating for 10 per seating/time. Oka special roll, negitoro, and octopus salad are a must. Amazing experience and food.

The best sushi we’ve ever had! We got lucky and got a table as walk ins and it turned out to be the best part of our Jasper trip. The sushi was so fresh and delicious, it was also a joy watching chef Oka make them. We look forward to visiting again soon! We suggest to book a table ahead of time.
Bernadette J — Google review
This is an interesting spot… I am not 100% sure why it’s so hard to get a reservation! I think maybe the locals book this place right up but thankfully we got lucky when we went as a reservation had canceled last minute. I understand now that the reason you can’t just walk in normally is because one seating lasts around 3 hours! Sort of a chill and intimate experience - one cool sushi chef, 8 bar seats - everyone just takes turns getting their rolls, drinking beer and getting to know one another at a leisurely pace. It was very unique and fun although I wouldn’t say the sushi itself was spectacular or anything… it was delicious! But I have had better sushi in Canada (nothing to do with fish quality, which was good, but more so rice/nori quality). The tastiest thing was definitely the spicy sauce which was his own special recipe. Overall I think it’s worth going at least once as we had a lovely time and left happy and full :)

If you are looking for a personal touch and want to eat authentic sushi (hand rolls), then you must try this place. Inside the Fairmont Jasper resort, tucked in a corner by the Fairmont store, this unassuming place serves the best sushi rolls. This place is small, very small; just 10 seats. 8 of them by the Sushi bar and you can see how Oka-san makes the sushi. Don't expect to be served in a hurry, because Oka-san does not rush. Enjoy the evening and order as you like. Take your time, have a conversation.

Is it Michelin Star Quality....no Is it edomae style omakase....no But is it pretty good sushi considering your in a land locked resort 3 hours away from anything that you can call a "'big city"....hell yes! Oka sushi exceeded our expectations in many ways. His fish quality is good, his portion sizes are generous and his pricing is more than reasonable.... especially considering if it's located inside a resort hotel. I especially like his Albacore Tuna Toro (no it's not as good as O-toro or Chu-toro from a blue fin) it's very fatty and full of flavor. His Amaebi and Hotate were both super fresh and very sweet. His chopped scallop Nigiri is great as he cuts up full scallops on front of you and mixes it with Japanese mayo and tobiko, rather than premade stuff.

Amazing place, hidden in the lower level of the main building of JPL, you’ll find the best sushi in Alberta outside of Edmonton and Calgary. Mr. Oka is a master sushi chef and makes delicious, fresh sushi rolls, sashimi, hand rolls, you name it. It’s funny because the fish tastes very fresh yet you are nowhere where the ocean - he ships in seafood from Vancouver weekly. Currently they are doing reservations between 6 and 6:30 PM but walk-ins after that until 9:30 PM. There are only around 10 seats so if it’s full when you walk-in, keep trying!

Mad Grizzly is such a great spot to stop in Jasper and we loved that their patio is dog-friendly (huge win for anyone travelling with their pup). The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, and the food was surprisingly solid for a bistro-bar. We ordered a few dishes to share and everything came out fresh and flavourful. Perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. Will definitely be back next time we’re in town.

This really just hit the spot. I was craving Asian food while being on vacation and I’m so glad we came here! They had everything, Asian food, burgers, and tacos. We ordered the sizzling pork and the vermicelli noodles with chicken. The chicken sadly was overcooked and very dry…but the flavor of everything was so good that it doesn’t take away from the meal. I would try to order a different protein if I were you! Staff was super friendly and nice. Loved our experience here!

The Mad Grizzly Bistro is nestled along one of the bustling main streets, offering a pleasant atmosphere that makes for a cozy visit. However, while the ambiance is inviting, I can't recommend their food. The beef burger has a decent taste, but surprisingly, it's quite small - see the photo (soup spoon for comparison). For a more satisfying and flavorful dining experience, I suggest heading over to Famoso Italian Pizzeria, located above the coin laundry just across the street. They offer better value and tastier meals that are worth your while.

Staff were friendly when they greeted us and took our orders, drinks and food were prepared and brought out in a timely fashion. Ambiance was quiet and comfortable.

Service was great! Food was not bad, and staff was friendly. Menu that they have is quite innovative as its fusion. There’s a lot of interesting things to try out! They also had some of the usual stuff like Bison and Elk etc. Good selection.

Agni Bistro is a laid-back and relaxed eatery that offers a diverse range of cuisines, including Indian, Thai, and Chinese dishes. Located in the heart of Jasper, it pleasantly surprises customers with its high-quality Indian food. Whether you're in the mood for flavorful gravies or delicious garlic naan, this restaurant will surely satisfy your cravings. Additionally, Agni Bistro also caters to Halal preferences; however, their Asian dishes are not Halal certified.
I was not expecting to find such good Indian food in the middle of Jasper. If you’re craving Indian food, this will definitely feed your cravings. The Garlic Naan was one of the best I’ve had in any Indian place. All the gravies were excellent as well. If you’re looking for Halal options, this place does serve it. The only thing not Halal are the Asian dishes (Thai and Chinese).

Delicious food and great service. We ordered paneer masala, daal makhni, garlic naan and rice. Everything was very well prepared and very tasty. We reached 10 mins before the restaurant's closing time of 9...the employees were very patient and served us very well. The food was just perfect..neither spicy nor mild. Would recommended to all who enjoy Indian cuisine.

At this moment they don’t have dine in. So you buy there and eat in take out restaurant . The naan bread and roti are not the best , in fact a little on hard side. The dal was amazing and the paneer masala and rice was great

Ordered Chicken Pad Thai. Overall, very disappointing! Do not recommend! Pros: - free delivery Cons: - Delivery takes over 2 hours (website said 45 minutes) - Food is cold and bland (asked for it extra spicy, was not spicy at all!) - Comes in a cardboard container which sticks to the food…..so the bottom layer is garbage unless you want to to eat noodles coated in cardboard.

Although the food here is a bit pricey but the quality of the food is worth it. Had the best lamb korma curry recently & it’s way better than expected. Would be happy to dine here again in the future.

This is the best Indian restaurant in Jasper, ala Carte menu, preparation is superb, and there was waiting,we had to wait for 30 mins!,the ambience is superb and staff super friendly, the kitchen is handled by owner Mr Gopal himself. The place opens only in evening . Don't miss this place if you are in Jasper.

When visiting Jasper, make sure to dine at The Nook for an exceptional culinary experience. This restaurant offers a cozy lodge atmosphere and is known for its excellent food and top-notch service. Indulge in delectable dishes such as French onion soup, prime rib, beef tartare, crab cakes, and osso buco. The menu also features a butchers cut with options like Wagyu ribeye that promises to be an unforgettable dining experience.
The ambiance at the Nook is truly special – a blend of rustic charm and modern elegance. Our server and guide Jao, was incredibly attentive, cheerful and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with insightful recommendations. Jao's recommendation on the Truffle infused Tomahawk was a standout, with perfectly prepared mashed potatoes and a number of sauces complimented each other really well. The prices are on the higher side, but the quality of the food and service justify the cost. This is a great spot for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. Overall, the food at Nook is like plated poetry and compliments to the Poet/ Chef Hayden ⭐ (An extra star for you because 5 wasn't enough) Highly recommend you to be entertained at this fine establishment and I also suggest that the Fairmont Management to put this on the map in some shape and form. God Bless.

Even if you are not staying at this hotel in Jasper, you should definitely go to this restaurant. It is an amazing steakhouse! We got great service! And the venue is really nice. The food was so good and I even got a little free dessert for my birthday, which was so yummy! Me and my mother split the filet mignon and the mashed potatoes, we also had the bread with butter, and everything was so delicious! I would definitely come back!

Thank you to the Nook for the most unforgettable experience. Our server Demi was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some excellent recommendations- Demi you are amazing! The food was delicious, in particular the beef wellington starter and the platter of 4 different meats. The Nook is 10/10 and I would definitely recommend to anyone staying at Jasper Park Lodge or in Jasper!

Special thanks to Demi for the great and charming service and to sous-Chef, Jean-Martin for the warm welcoming and collecting our feedback about our meals. He really is passionate of its work!!!

Delicious food, wonderful servers, and beautiful atmosphere. The seafood was really fresh and the scallop melts in my mouth! Unique flavours and plating

This was amazing! The staff were very nice and the food was excellent. I would personally recommend the beef wellington bites. They were packed with flavour and were very juicy. I had the 12oz AAA Prime Rib which was amazing! The mac and cheese side was also some of the best mac and cheese I’ve had. 5 stars would definitely recommend.

We had the best dining experience with our server, April, and the chef and staff going above and beyond to ensure our children were happy and taken care of and for an overall wonderful dining experience. April in particular took it upon herself to check on notably adventure exhausted children several times and to have their food come out first. April also shared her personal love, pride, and recommendations for the Jasper area. Wonderful experience!

We were a group of 7. Reservations were for 8 pm Friday night. They told us 15 minute wait, we returned twenty minutes later and were told ten more minutes!!! We waited patiently and then went back and were kept waiting for another five minutes. Finally seated. Starter Scallops were really bad. Rib Eye was chewy and no dressing whatsoever. Just a steak in plate. Halibut was dry. Best was pizza and Mac and cheese from kid menu. Disappointed with service. Everyone finished meal when two orders of chicken supreme finally arrived. As they were getting it from another restaurant. Manger did come to explain and apologized for the delay when half of the meal was already on table. The server could have told us at the time of taking our order, that it will be delayed and we could have changed the item. Anyways, disappointed experience from six out of seven people. Seventh person got couple of dishes from kids menu. I will never waste money going to this restaurant at such a prestigious Hotel.
