Last night was about visiting one of North India’s most renowned Tibetan restaurants, a place that has been serving authentic flavors for over four decades. The ambience was warm, cozy, and truly Tibetan, making the experience feel special from the moment I walked in.
The menu was extensive with Chinese, Thai, Korean, and Tibetan options — both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. I ordered Pad Thai noodles and Mokhtuk, and they were absolutely outstanding. The noodles were perfectly balanced in flavor, with just the right blend of spice and freshness, while the Mokhtuk was comforting, soulful, and perhaps the best I’ve had anywhere.
This restaurant stands out not just for its history and reputation, but for the consistent quality it delivers. A must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Asian food with an unforgettable dining atmosphere.
Extremely disappointing food, it doesn’t not deserve this high rating at all. The space is very small and almost congested, almost none of the food we ordered were nice. Soup was the only saving grace. Please try Domas Inn for better food
Four stars just because of the food despite the fact it's famous and crowded all the time there is certain way to treat your guest. Service needs some really good training and especially how to talk to guest. Rest everything was good.
Mind blowing food!! The place offers authentic business from the hills - laphing, thukpa, baos, flat hand pulled noodles, dumpling soups & a wide variety of meat options.
Every dish we ordered was finger licking delicious & served in generous portions.
Speaking of ambience, it just couldn’t get better with the Himalayan vibes, music & decor.
Exciting stuff - They have a uniquely designed Photo Booth (Korean Photo Booth); the first of its kind in Dehradun where you can custom dress up & get clicked with your gang. Also, it’s quite affordable, priced at just Rs 100 per picture.
I visited Kalsang Pan Asian Cuisine in Mussoorie and tried the veg momos and veg noodles. Both dishes were very tasty with a nice smoky flavor. The food was fresh and full of flavor. You can try khao suey also.
The place was quite crowded, and there is not much parking space nearby. Because of the crowd, the service was a bit slow, but the food made up for it. The restaurant has a good vibe and is worth a visit if you enjoy Asian food.

Kalsang in Mussoorie has always been our go-to. Tried the mushroom flat noodles again and honestly, they never miss…always hit the spot. The vibe here just feels right, warm and alive in its own way. You might have to wait 15–20 mins, but once the food comes… it’s all worth it.
It's a great place to have Tibetian cuisine. This place is more than just for food as it's full of amazing experiences. Hospitality here is friendly & attentive that melts your heart along with their splendid food.
It's located on the mall road so it's very difficult to find nearby parking.
The interiors of this place are designed to feel closer to Tibetian culture. Having food here is like a culinary journey filled with rich flavours & tibetian authenticity. They prepare their food freshly so it takes a little time to serve.On busy days be prepared to wait for a 15-20 mins waiting period owing to its popularity.
We tried many delicious Tibetian dishes that included Chicken Momos, flavorsome Chicken Lamen fried, Chicken thukpa, Chicken Mokthuk etc.

The ambience was warm and welcoming, and the overall environment felt very pleasant. They truly impressed us with both the quality and generous portions of the food. A lovely experience overall!

Very friendly owner. We visited here on the very first day it opened after renovation. The owner recommended us his best dishes and everything was yummy n Punjabi style 🤓 spicy and flavourful 😋 we tried kadhai paneer, mutton rogan josh, chicken Changezi and garlic naan. Awesome food!!! We ordered some drinks and multiple appetizers, they all turned very tasty. We asked to customize a few items as per the kid's needs, and they made it really well. A must try place in Mussoorie mall road.
Nice vibe, lovely food and good staff and owner. We tried their malai paneer with lacha parantha, both of them were really good. Although the price in the physical menu they provided was 300 for the paneer but they charged 320 on the bill saying the price has increased but not updated yet but apart from that very good price experience. Must visit if you want to have punjabi food in Mall Road.

The place has a legendary fan following. The inside is quite cramped and you will hardly find seating place. But every order is prepared with care and love. No matter how long is the queue, he does not hurry and makes every omelette with same style. We had the masala omelette and it was heavenly. The eggs were cooked just right and the bread super soft. The wait is worth it.

We walked a long way to get to this place.. and found the guy taking a lunch break, he asked us to wait for 30 mins but at least he was true to his word. He was back in exactly 30 mins.
Coming to the omlette, we tried cheese butter omlette and the taste was nice .. better than what you get in the area but nothing out of world... You can get the same omlette in sadar bazaar gurgaon (maybe better) so there definitely is a false hype around the name.
The owner is a nice guy though... He serves on a first come first serve basis, and has also reserved a day for children of doon school... Meaning they only serve children on that day, and none other.
You can try if you are around and there are no long queues... But walking all the way and standing in a queue for over an hour --- let it pass, there are other very good cafes in the vicinity.

Famous Omelette Centre at Mall road, mussorrie. It's a very old shop. You will get different types of omelette here. Taste is really good. Rush is always there, you have to wait for some time. Cash payment is accepted here.

The owner was a great guy to have a chit chat with whilst enjoying a great omlette, and the food was true to its word. A large celebrity base have also come to taste the food here, and there are specific days where it is open just for school students.
The store opens timely before 10am, and there is no rush in the morning during that time so it is the best one to visit. Food tasted as good as mom's cooking 😊

The Tavern Restaurant is a nice restaurant right in the mall Street, The restaurant was not very busy and generally good atmosphere and very spacious and very enticing good old style décor. The food was really good too. We had a Dim sum both veg and non Veg Hot and Spicy mushroom, Golden fried Prawn, fish Chilly, Wok tossed Veg in Schezwan style, Burnt Garlic fried rice as well as Burnt Garlic Fried noodles and Lamb Cashew Chilly Stir Fry, The dishes were good. We ran into this restaurant as we were walking the area around Street. Although it took some time to serve as we were 11 of us, But we spend the time having the Beer and the cock tails and enjoying the good ambiance. While the restaurant was pricy, Service was really friendly and the food was very tasty. Good place to spend the time. We understand the place is very busy during evening and booking is required to get the seat. We could also so that there was music in the evening, The staff at Tavern Restaurant is attentive, friendly, and provided good service, giving us as a pleasant dining atmosphere. Average experience! The place is quiet full during the evenings and staff is generally way too busy. You probably have to look out yourself to find a table for yourself and the order may take time to be served since it too full. We had a pizza, n few drinks. Loved the red velvet pastry, can go again for that. Rest nothing exceptional. Food quantity and quality was pretty good too. They must work on their service.
It was a very middling experience. We went in and sat at the corner table, and even after 15 minutes, no one from the staff came to take our order. It was as if they completely forgot we were sitting there. We saw them serving others (even the people sitting at the table beside us). Later, I had to call them over and ask them to take our order. The food was great; I really enjoyed their wood-oven pizza. But the service needs improvement.

This place is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, the ambiance hits you—it’s just next level. We opted for takeaway butter chicken for dinner, and let me tell you, it was absolutely finger-licking good! While there, we had some soup of the day and coffee, soaking in the vibes before we had to leave.
I’d love to visit Mussoorie again, not just for the views but to relive the experience at Emily’s & stay there at Rokeby Manor as well.

Even though this place has great ratings it still feels like a hidden gem. We randomly came across it and instantly fell in love. The pork chilli is one of the most delicious things you'll eat in mussoorie. Their pork chilli momos are just as good. We tried their thukpa, it was way better in veg than in non veg.
If the owner recommends something, just listen to him, his suggestions were on point.

Momo were awesome but please change your chutney it should be the authentic spicy chutney that should be served and all together it will be the best momo.
Its a good Tibetan restaurant where you can find both veg and non veg options.
Overall it’s good and worth to visit. Food taste is nice so you can definitely go there.

We went to this place twice. Tried Chicken Thupka for the first time and I really loved it.
The place is small and cozy and serves good food.
Do try the momos here too which are super Amazing. We had chicken steam momo and veg fried momo. The chutney is also very tasty.

A place steeped in history. The North Indian fare here has a distinct Delhi slant to it, and I am not complaining.
Highly recommend the Chicken Afghani and the Mutton Rara. While the Kali Mirch Chicken and Mutton Seekh Kabab were also great, they still fell a bit short of the first two dishes, such was the depth of flavors in them.
Additionally recommend pairing the Rara with Roomali Roti. The flavors brought out as a result were otherworldly.
Staff and owners were very courteous, and I hope to come back again.
This is apparently the oldest restaurant in Mussoorie, running since 1949. In recent times they have made efforts to talk about the heritage of this restaurant. A nice display greets the visitors which talks about the restaurant's history and its famous patrons. The service is good and one can see many old timers still at work here. However not many tourists come here and hence the quality of food is suspect here.We ordered Paneer Khurchan and Naan. Naan was the best we have ever had, soft and just about sweet. The Paneer khurchan did taste good but we had an upset stomach next day!
This place is a one stop shop for all your non vegetarian cravings in Mussoorie. We visited this place twice and had their mouth watering signature dishes like mutton rara and butter chicken with butter naan and were grandly treated with delectable taste in every bite. Didn’t even think about visiting any other place after trying their dishes. Staff is courteous, service is prompt and ambience has that old school Mussoorie charm in it. It was also heartening to see the owners taking so much interest in ensuring that all their diners have a pleasant experience! Must visit place whenever you are in Mussoorie.

I ordered chicken biryani and some vegetarian dishes from this restaurant, and the experience was very disappointing. The rice in the biryani was undercooked, the chicken had a bad smell, and the taste was unpleasant. It seemed like very low-quality oil was used in the food. Overall, the quality of both non-veg and veg items was poor. I strongly advise not to eat any non-veg dishes here. My rating: 1/10.

This is one of the four original cafes in Chardukan complex. It opened in 1910 and is still going strong. They serve great Pan cakes, French fries, and Waffles. Compared to the other three cafes here, this one has better organised seating space. The place is always crowded but service is quick.
If you visit Char Dukan and your are confused which cafe you should seat . I personally recommend that place try this shop The owner will personally take care of you with a very warm and welcoming nature. Must recommend is to try pancake & omelette.

One of the char dukaans in the famed row of shops at Landour. Has old school vibes. Small setup and the owners are welcoming for obvious reasons. It took us 15-20 minutes to get a seat for the three of us and took approximately the same or more for our order to reach the table. Fries were a little over salty the waffle and ice cream was fine. ₹700 seemed a tad steep for just these two items for this kind of a setup but nonetheless it’s probably a seasonal thing so they’re raking in whatever they can. They did return crisp fresh notes in change though 😜 perhaps just go there for the experience with little or no expectations. Seemed like getting a seat there was the premium we had to pay.

My recent visit to this restaurant was deeply disappointing. We arrived to find both of the establishment's two tables occupied. Since we were eager to try the food, we politely offered to take our order to go and eat elsewhere.
To our surprise, the owner and his son responded arrogance. They flat-out refused our request, stating in a condescending tone that we could only eat there and would have to wait for a table to become available. This attitude was completely uncalled for.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this place to save their money and go somewhere that appreciates its customers.

However the cost was too high (approx 400 INR) for the order but I guess it’s because of the location.
It’s best to reach on foot because getting vehicles here is too chaotic.
The owner is warm enough but his son is very rude and is in no zone to cater the customers. He was eager enough to pick a fight when he was asked about the prices of the food items we had already ordered. Guy took a big blow to his ego.

Amitash (The Rice Bowl) is the best Chinese restaurant you will find in the whole of Mussoorie. The prices are extremely competitive and the it's authentic Chinese. It's located on the mall road itself, just about 100m from chic chocolate.
Must try : Chicken Wanton Soup, Thupka with Dimsums, and Fried momos. It's their speciality.

Ambience is good as per fast food restaurant, I usually see chinese items are delivered faster as compared to any other items, so the delivery of food items were quick and staff was polite in taking orders.

Very poor quality if food. Uses subpar ingredients. The nutella they use for the waffle is also some local brand. I saw it with my own eyes on the counter shelf. The mushroom sandwich tasted bitter. It was priced 400Rs and honestly there were only 4 pieces of mushroom and a dollop of Pesto. Intially the servers were adding mayo I had to tell them that it mentions pesto and not mayo. They were themselves surprised. They don't even know their menu. Coffee was pathetic. Tasted just like milk. Please do not visit this cafe. Infact all reviews seems to be fake. Please be mindful.

Charged higher amount for 500 meter delivery distance, and the food had clearly been sitting around for a while before it was delivered. I wouldn't recommend ordering from this restaurant based on my experience.

We also had their softy post lunch but it was pretty average and couldn’t feel the flavours at all.

Myshop in Mussoorie is the kind of place that makes you question every life choice that led you to walk through its doors. I ordered a Mutton Seekh Roll, which was *okay*—nothing special, just edible. But the real horror show began when I glanced at the refrigerator near our corner seat.
The bottom two shelves of the fridge were stained black with what I can only assume was years of accumulated grime and rotten food. It was a biohazard masquerading as a kitchen appliance. And yet, there it was, storing tubs of curd and paneer, covered only by a flimsy muslin cloth, completely exposed to the filth. If the fridge—something openly visible to customers—looked this disgusting, I can’t even imagine the state of the kitchen.
This isn’t just a lack of cleanliness; it’s a blatant disregard for basic food safety standards. Myshop is a crowded restaurant, but no amount of foot traffic excuses this level of filth. If you value your health and sanity, avoid this place at all costs. The food might be *okay*, but is it worth risking food poisoning? Absolutely not.
Final verdict: A stomach-churning experience that left me questioning how this place is still in business. Myshop, clean up your act—literally.

I came to this place for dinner after being attracted to its decorations and aesthetics. However, the food was tasteless. Also, it didn’t justify its price. Bit costly compared to what I had. I ordered kadhayi chaap and there were barely four-five pieces of chaap and lots of capsicum and onion which didn’t taste good too. The tables weren’t cleaned properly and the floor was soiled.
I came to this restaurant for the first time and I did not like the food here that much. We ordered Soya Chaap which was not chewable at all, we had to order again, the restaurant people politely returned it, the main course was ok and the portion size was adequate. The place was empty, we were the only customers in the restaurant. More work needs to be done on the quality of food.

It’s been just 10 minutes I am coming after having one of the worst dinners. We ordered veg momo and veg hakka noodles. Noodles were too oily and stale. Momos were cold and had small sizes in maximum and tasted bad. They later gave only 2 momos to have and said they won’t take food complain as we had 3 pieces of all. Also they had issues in payment. There network was slow that’s why it was showing as paid at their end. And the guy in photo was so rude, harassing and forcing to pay again. Other staffs behaviour was good only.

Jeet Restaurant serves authentic Garhwali cuisine which is mouth-watering. The restaurant is not too busy, which might be why the food tastes so good!
Located right at the beginning of Mall Road near the library, it is in a very crowded location. But it is an excellent place to try Pahadi cuisine. Most of the items on the menu are Pahadi favourites and they are served with love. We tried Jhangora ki kheer, Gahat ka paratha with bhang ki chutney and found both to taste great. Though located at a busy junction, finding an empty seat here is not a problem.

Jeet Restaurant is located on the edge of Mall Road and is known to serve Pahadi food along with other cuisines. The ambiance is of a typical restaurant. There are tables and chairs inside and the place is usually packed during lunch hours. The walls are filled with painting and information about Mussoorie.
We tried their Pahadi Thali which came with Ragi Roti, pakoda, Padadi Dal, bhaang ki chutney, aloo sabzi, some gravy, red rice, butter milk, millet kheer, salad and ghee. The Butter milk here is to die for as it is given a tadka. The Pahadi dal was delicious and so was the millet kheer.
The thali is one of its kind and shouldn't be missed. It is very filling and can also be shared.
Need of clean Washroom in hill station ⛰️ can only be understood by female and males who have family.
I didn't get chance to have their food but I used to go to washroom if I wish too. And washroom were so clean. The pahadi thali here is outstanding. No fancy names no fancy descriptions but simple pure good food which one would want to have after a tiring day. The thali is portioned as such that 2 people can have 1 thali. And it’s really good and tasty. The jhingora kheer and bhang chutney is different and tasty.

I recently visited this restaurant and honestly, it was quite disappointing. The food, service, and ambience were all below average.
I had ordered Kadhai Paneer and roti, and the first thing I noticed was a thick layer of oil floating on top of the gravy — I had to literally separate it before I could eat. The taste wasn’t impressive either — just very average and lacking in flavour.
I also tried their Gol Gappe and KitKat shake. The Gol Gappe were a huge letdown — they tasted off and seemed very unhygienically prepared. If you’re from UP or have tried real chaat, you’ll know what I mean. The taste was nowhere close to authentic.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend visiting this place. There are much better restaurants on Mall Road that are worth your time and money.

I found Chacha Ka Restaurant listed as a halal place in Mussoorie through ChatGPT, and even confirmed over the phone—they said it’s halal. But when I went there and ate, I had serious doubts. There was no sign or mention of halal certification, and the majority of customers were Punjabis.
Honestly, it felt misleading. If you’re strict about halal food, I’d recommend sticking to vegetarian options while in Mussoorie. Better safe than sorry!

A local cafe at any place is much better than chain restaurants. They put much more effort to entertain guests.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The view from the room was stunning. One of the things I appreciated most was how safe and comfortable it felt—especially for girls ( we were 2 girls staying).
The location is a huge plus, being right on Mall Road. Everything was within walking distance—shops, cafes, and local attractions—making it super convenient to explore without worrying about transport.
Highly recommend this hotel. Would definitely come back!

Had a very pleasant stay at this very convenient located hotel. The staff is very courteous and helpful. They take utmost respect in taking care of their guests. I would like to mention especially about Mr. Rajveer who manages the hotel operations as he ensures that guests have a pleasant and wonderful stay. Would also like to mention about Mr. Anand Chouhan Captain who manages the resturant operations. He ensures that guests are served fresh and hot food in the restaurant. Stayed with my family in a spacious Family Suite Room. The service was excellent, location was great, and the view from our room was lovely. Staff was very helpful—special thanks to Akanksha Ma'am for assisting with the booking. Hotel has parking, but taxis aren’t allowed on Mall Road, so take a cycle rickshaw from Library Chowk if you're not driving. Overall, a very satisfying stay.

1. They didn’t inform before private taxi is allowed or not.. we parked taxi near to different parking n paid 700 on daily basis.
2. Washbasin was broken, AC very old, tv very old, window panes were dirty. Very old fashioned.
3. Water issue was on every day, i called in mid night two times. After that they did something…Very careless.
4. Hotel prices are not worth it according to their services. Better to book different hotel.
5. We carried our luggages from library chowk to this hotel, they didn’t send any helper also.. so bad experience.
6. This hotel required renovation because they are uploading good picture n making fool people. Hate this hotel. Very worst experience

On May 4th, my wife and I visited a restaurant where we ordered vegetarian noodles that were very tasty. Unfortunately, my wife forgot her mobile phone on the table and we didn't realize it until an hour later. When we returned to the restaurant, the owner greeted us with a smile and returned the phone to us. It was definitely a great place to eat and the people were very friendly.

Horrible Experience – Stale Food, Stomach Upset & Vomiting!
I had the worst dining experience at Red Chili Restaurant today. Ordered chicken tandoori and chicken clear soup, and it was a complete disaster. The tandoori chicken was overloaded with artificial color, making it look unnaturally red, and the chicken tasted off, as if it was stale. The clear soup had an odd smell, and after having this meal, both my father and I ended up with severe stomach upset and vomiting.
This place is a serious health hazard, serving substandard, possibly rotten food. If you care about your health, AVOID THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL COSTS. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable!

It's a Chinese counter. Good on pocket. The items are priced economically. The veg platter and the non veg platter is the best seller here. The place is right on the mall road. The seating is very conjugated and it's better to stand outside the outlet and have the meal. There is not much seating space. Yeh food quality is good. Though it can be improved. The staff and management is nice.
