Amazing location and very professional staff. The food was very nice but very expensive (we had food of similar quality in other places for half the price). Amazing alioli sauce. No regrets and we enjoyed it, but I felt the prices were dictated more by the luxury feel of the place rather than by the quality of the food.

The food was okay, definitely not worth what you pay for. The grilled fished came raw and they had to finished in the oven and the ceviche was okay. 45 min between the appetizer and main dish. The place is beautiful and the service was good.

We had a lovely table and lovely food until we pulled out a very long hair from our meal. The waitress saw and said yes I saw that, came over after and said they were ‘inviting us for that meal’ the meal we couldn’t eat for a hair, of course we shouldn’t pay for that we couldn’t eat it. As it was towards the end of the meal we didn’t want a new one… we asked if we could sit by the pool afterwards and they let us but honestly to just take the coffees of the bill and not make a gesture or give much of an apology in any other way isn’t what you expect from 5 star. I work with hotels around the world as have an agency and sadly I would have expected better. It’s a shame as the food was great but the way that was handled was really not as good as it should have been.

A very nice and modern hotel with all the amenities you need for a beach getaway. It's on the beach and you can walk down and enjoy the sea or if you prefer, you can stay at the infinity pool and have a nice drink from the tiki bar. There's also a lap pool by the gym. The spa is small but has everything you need, a hammam, a Finnish sauna, a small indoor pool with jets and a plunge pool. There's a fancy tasting menu kind of restaurant on site as well as a snack bar and there's a Mediterranean restaurant on the beach as well as a beach bar. The room is spacious, modern and clean.

We only ate at the restaurant but what a fabulous dinner. The food is all your traditional favourites like Russian salads and croquettes but done to an exceptionally high class twist. I loved everything, flawless food and we had lovely service plus a great espresso martini!

We are having a wonderful experience at Cala Saona Hotel. The hotel's standout feature is definitely its location, right in front of the stunning Cala Saona. This hotel offers a perfect setting to enjoy a breathtaking sunset, and the hotel’s fantastic restaurant and bar make the experience even more enjoyable. The service at Cala Saona Hotel is exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and assisted with our luggage. The staff, particularly the polite lady who welcomed us, ensured we felt at home. We also appreciated the help of Fernanda, who does an excellent job cleaning our room. Everything was spotless, adding to our overall comfort during the stay. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but we opted for a sea-view balcony, and it was absolutely worth it. Initially, I was hesitant about paying the extra for the sea view, but it turned out to be a great decision. The view was stunning, overlooking Cala Saona, and added a special touch to our stay. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. While the rooms may not be spacious, the large balcony compensates for this, offering ample space to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. The breakfast at Cala Saona Hotel is another highlight. The variety and quality of the food were impressive. One of the best aspects is that the eggs are made fresh to order. You can ask for any style of eggs, and they prepare them for you on the spot. The quality of the ingredients and the taste were outstanding. I particularly appreciated that they offered avocado—a sign of a well-thought-out menu. The coffee was good, though surprisingly, they don't serve a proper cappuccino, which was unexpected given the island's popularity with Italians. However, the espresso quality more than made up for it. The Spanish ham was also excellent. Although we didn’t use the spa, it looked very inviting and is included in the stay, which is a great perk. The hotel is inclusive for families with babies or children, which we greatly appreciated. However, it still maintains a peaceful environment, making it suitable for all types of guests. The only downside was the dinner offering. The hotel only serves a tasting menu with around 18 courses, which can be quite expensive. While it could be a nice experience, it's not something you necessarily want to do every night, especially if you're looking for a beach style dining option, like grilled fish. I was quite surprised to learn that the hotel is not rated as a five-star establishment. It offers a wide range of services and amenities that you would expect at that level. The only aspect that might not align with a five-star rating is the size of the rooms. However, with the large balconies and the overall quality of the experience, this is a minor point. The price reflects a five-star experience, which is understandable given the hotel's prime location. Overall, Cala Saona Hotel provides an excellent combination of location, amenities, and outstanding service. For a small island like Formentera, this hotel exceeds expectations. Worst service ever for lunch at the hotel’s terrace! Have been there for years for lunch when in Formentera! We live close to Alicante. This year just boring! Staff not interested and not able with 4 staff to serve 5 tables! Never again and will not recommend it to our friends for holidays! Told the receptionist but do not expect anything will change!

We spend 2 nights at Cala Soana. We were disappointed because rooms were quite small and we asked for sea views but didn’t get it. The tiki bar is expensive and get ready to pay for every service (like late check out etc..). You’ll not even have free water in rooms (6€ for water in your room is ridiculous in a four star hotel). People were nice, the emplacement was nice. We rented scooters really easily! Breakfast was great

They advertise themselves as a 4 star hotel but they aren’t even close to it. Having stayed at actual 4 star hotels in this price range it is entirely too expensive for what is offered. While the hotel does have a beautiful view of the beach- it is not a private beach nor do they have sun beds or umbrellas on the beach that belong to the resort.- you’d think this is a beach resort so they have some beach front that is theirs but no that’s not what happens here. Instead you can rent them from some men that walk up and down the little beach $10 euros for the bed and $10 for the umbrella. The hotel provides you with two cards which you can exchange for beach/pool towels you can only get one towel per person per day and in the room closet there is an umbrella. The rooms are small, our room had a desk chair that was all frayed and has seen better days, as well as bathrobes that seem old and dingy looking I wouldn’t even touch them. The bathroom door in our room didn’t open all the way and would screech on the floor. Basic amenities such as hand soap, tissues and body lotion aren’t made available in the room! The path to the beach has a boardwalk with some missing planks. Reception was helping us get information for renting a car and then in the middle of that stopped to do something for another guest completely ignoring us when she was in the middle of helping us- unprofessional in my opinion. Good things about the hotel- drinks and breakfast were good, overpriced drinks but still good that’s about it. I honestly feel robbed/lied to having stayed here. If you’re looking for a beach luxury relaxing resort this isn’t it. They have all the potential to be what they advertise but as you notice details throughout your stay it’s like they aren’t even trying.

We’ve been very happy with our hotel choice. Good facilities, friendly people. Various services available (like a pick up to a bike rental place nearby or pilates). The biggest drawcard might be the food, for dinner: almost Michelin star quality dishes from a Bilbao chef, in a really nice garden setting. Breakfast buffet is also good (€25). Perhaps everything is a bit expensive, but thats the case all over the island.

This is a review for the restaurant. The setup is spectacular, in a lush garden nicely lit. The dishes include local products and have a rich combination of flavors and textures. I tried the bacalao and it was delicious. The desserts are also very creative and tasty. Wide selection of wines (a sommelier can assist you). The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with many customers and could be better coordinated. Overall, a very good restaurant in Formentera.

I want to start stating that the property itself was magnificent, beautiful, completely renovated and lovely. Everything was very clean and with excellent decoration. However all of these was eclipsed by the bad service the hotel personnel provided. Everybody was very unprofessional and slow, the crew was not coordinated at all, very bad management. The lady at the front desk was not very nice, she was not very servicial and had a weird attitude towards guests and then there where times when even no one was paying attention to the front desk, also they tried to add things to our account that we never ordered, this was very unpleasant. The restaurant was also very charming but the same issue with service, super slow and pricey. As an anecdote, I ordered a gin and tonic before dinner and after 45 minutes I was still waiting for it… of course I had to cancel. Also first day we went there for dinner (we were staying at the hotel and it was convenient) we were waiting for the main dishes more than an hour, they brought them at midnight finally when we were not even hungry anymore, a disaster. Also please be aware this hotel is quite far from the island main places and beaches so transportation from there will be quite expensive and painful.

Lovely place. Beautiful gardens, stylish, well laid out to provide intimacy, clean rooms, helpful service. Short walk to the beach, but its not far to drive anywhere on Formenterra. It was a 10-15 min drve from the port. Our room had plenty of space, and the beautiful gardens are lovely to walk through or just sit. We didn't eat at the restaurant but apparently its very good. Breakfast was good, and the coffee was amazing. Will definitely come back (reception told me the best prices are if you book direct). Nice pool to relax if you're not an explorer, or or a dip after a day on the beach. We chose to drive to one of the nicest beaches every day (Pacha) which was recommended by reception, which has ample public beach space, clean white sand, beautful swimming - or you can hire umbrellas and deck chairs (€10 each, so €30/per couple). Hotel for us was perfect, as was the whole Formenterra experience.

I stayed here in late September 2017 on honeymoon. It's a beautiful location and the staff are wonderful. Rooms are clean modest and perfect for the time you'll spend in them. The Terraces is a nice touch. Staff are very helpful but not overly attentive either. A 3-4 minute walk through shady tails brings you to the beach. It's a bit of a clamber down (steep) onto the sand, and beach bars are less than 100 meters away. There's other options to the beach that don't include steep steps, but will be a longer route. There's a convenient store Mini supermarket near to the hotel, selling fresh food, bread, wine and essentials. Restaurant has a very high standard, and costs reflect that, and we found beach bars/restaurants less, but not the same level of cuisine. But all good the same. The gardens are beautiful and they're maintained everyday, I honestly can't say I spotted one bug. But did spot a few very little lizards. I would highly recommend Hotel Casbah, and hope to visit again.

In sum, a beautiful hotel that we would absolutely stay at again. Positives to highlight: - the main building and the outside space is beautiful and oasis-like. You enter and immediately feel relaxed. - the food and the drinks at the Casbah restaurant are simply delicious. Not cheap but I feel fairly priced for the quality you receive. Service is outstanding - staff at the hotel is friendly and attentive. Breakfast is simple but good. Size of hotel means you never feel surrounded by too many people - Covid Protection is high and you feel safe here Some negatives where hotel could improve: - the bathrooms are really quite dated and I feel much below the level of the rest of the hotel. I never would expect to find such outdated bathrooms in a hotel that is otherwise so beautiful and well-designed. - the hotel charges a small fee to have beach towels replaced. Not a huge issue but I do feel that for the price tag of the hotel, such extra fees are unnecessary.

Amazing small resort, nestled between sand dunes and steps from the beach. Rooms are distributed in spacious villas, with warm decor and large bathrooms. The restaurant is an invitation to relax with sea views by the pool. Very friendly and attentive staff. A sure bet for those looking for a luxury getaway.

Great, but not perfect for this price point. What’s amazing: the location. Beautiful strip of beach that it’s on. Infinity pool has a great vista. At night we were also lucky to get a view of the Milky Way which was incredible. What’s good: the rooms are beautiful and calming color palette. Very chic vibe. What’s mixed: The food is average. Breakfast is very nice. Lunch and dinner are less good and very similar menus. Also we ordered one of the specials and it was 3x the price of the average main on the menu. Sticker shock paying e130 for a very average ribeye. What disappointed: The service standards were very mixed for a resort of this quality. Everyone was very nice and friendly and very patient with my 5yr kid who is a handful so I really appreciated that. However the level of attentiveness of the staff was terrible. I had to get out of my seat many, many times and flag down a waiter. This should not happen at a place like this. And given how nice the staff are it’s an easy fix and could have changed the whole complexion of the visit. What’s worth noting: the beach isn’t actually part of the hotel and you don’t get service and loungers there. Rather you have to pay separately to a beach bar/lounger company to get access to these things. Also there are public car parks interrupting the view of the sea a bit. Not the end of the world but something to be aware of.

Stayed for one night with my partner. Arrival service was friendly, and while we expected the room not to be ready before the 3pm check-in time, the delay extended beyond 4pm despite having to follow up multiple times. This set a disappointing tone. The restaurant service, however, was excellent—special mention to a gentleman with a ponytail who was outstanding. The room itself felt underwhelming: small, with dated details and amenities that did not reflect the standard of a relatively new five-star hotel. When we raised our dissatisfaction with the delayed check-in, we were offered a round of drinks as a gesture. At checkout, this was handled poorly. Instead of a seamless acknowledgment, the receptionist scrutinized receipts to offset the cheapest items possible (an Aperol Spritz and tonic water), rather than the actual drinks consumed as promised. This was not about the cost, but the attitude—something that reflects a lack of genuine five-star service. Overall, the hotel benefits from a prime location and a beautiful beach nearby, but service inconsistencies and lack of attention to detail leave room for serious improvement.

Really relaxing stay in a beautifully designed, eco-friendly place. a short walk to one of the most beautiful beaches in Formentera. Clara was so sweet in leaving a little bottle of cava in our room for our honeymoon vacation, a personal touch that really warmed our hearts and made our stay extra special.

Perfect IF you like being ripped off and gaslighted. If you book Can Aire (which features 3 beds on their website and Instagram), do not , I repeat do not expect 3 beds to be there on arrival. Apparently, you're supposed to access a Dropbox link with over 50 pictures after making your reservation; and it is entirely on you if one bed is missing from those 50 pictures. Can 3 Formentera takes great care to mention that they are not a hotel but a “tourist apartment complex”, however, should your definition of an “apartment” include a working kitchen I’m afraid you should brace yourself for sink and fridge only. A fried egg in this “apartment” will be as unattainable as its 3rd bed… If however you are a masochist, this will be the perfect “tourist apartment complex” for you because there is absolutely no chance whatsoever that the manager will ever admit any wrongdoing; you are totally incompetent and it is a surprise no one has ever told you in the 50 years you have graced this Earth. You clearly are blind to see the corridor they blocked to the 3rd room and you surely will be imagining the fact that there is a license sign (#6271) for a 3 bedroom apartment next door and not the 2 bedroom “2/3rds of an apartment” you arrived to (without a license sign). While I understand that renting out 3 licensed houses to 4 different parties might be good for the bottom line, I'd caution against it if your aim is to get good reviews. In fact, I'd dare say that the manager’s motto is “We Aim to Disappoint” because notwithstanding the 3rd missing room debacle I was called back to pay an extra 25 euros for the unpriced rosé placed next to the welcome card since it was... so obviously for sale; how could I have been so dumb not to see the price tag that was not there? I could recommend the interior design but since I am an incompetent, blind, delusional and dumb guest, I won’t even try. I do however need to point out the amazing Air Conditioning that just about saved me from melting out of frustration and the diligent work of the cleaning staff. Can 3 Formentera is a hospitality disappointment because of its leadership. It is proof that no decent interior design will ever trump a passive aggressive management. Here customers do not reign supreme, they are always wrong and as such should serve supreme. Pity that was also not featured on their website because I'd have made sure to stay away. Fabulous hotel near the beach. This is an incredibly stylish hotel - the rooms are beautiful, it has a pool, beautiful breakfast area and bikes you can borrow to explore the island. I had a fantastic stay. My room had a beautiful bathroom, kitchen and outdoor terrace where you can while away an evening in the dusk. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the location was minutes from playa mijorn. It’s a short cycle/drive to spar and other beaches. Hugely recommend.

We stayed at Paraiso de los Pinos three weeks ago and we're already missing it so badly. The staff — in particular Vinnie, Margo, and the other lovely folks in the restaurant — were so kind to our little boys, and made our trip feel easy (a feat traveling with small kids). We loved our suite, the frog pond, the beautiful pool, the breakfast buffet, the chess board set up to enjoy at any hour, etc. Thank you!

For the price this was a really nice stay. Only downside if you are a couple is the number of kids. but for 3 nights was perfect for touring around the island.

Peaceful, clean with such a kind team going out of their way to make it a perfect stay, notably Patricia who made great recommendations, Paula who cared for every detail in the logisitics and Vicente who ensured the ebikes were in excellent shape. Really lovely hotel in the middle of saint Francesco Xavier (white-washed town a 5 min drive from the port). Impeccable attention to detail. Spa is really top notch. Buffet breakfast was one of the best. Truly a wonderful stay.

We have just returned from 3 nights at Es Pas. The communication between us and Nura at Es Pas prior to our arrival was excellent, with detailed information of how to get there, discount information for the ferry and recommendations on restaurants etc. When we arrived we were upgraded to a truly beautiful and spacious room. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We loved the location being able to walk into Es Calo and to the sensational Platja Migjorn. Like others we fell in love with Es Pas and will definitely be back.

The BEST place to stay in Formentera. My husband, baby and I stayed here for over a week and we had the most wonderful time. The rooms are gorgeous, very clean and the pool is amazing. I arrived earlier than check in today and the owner kindly gave me a room before the check in time. I explored the area and came back a bit sunburnt and the owner went out of his way to get aloe Vera for me! The staff at the desk were so friendly and wrote me lists of recommendations for places to go to. The rooms are very clean and quiet, and designed well. I haven’t even stayed a night yet but would highly recommend based on my experience so far.

From the moment we stepped into the calming lobby, everything at Can Micalet was wonderful. The staff were particularly lovely and went out of their way to do things for us, such as booking taxis and sending us local recommendations. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. The beds were great, shower temperature and pressure was excellent. The weather wasn't quite warm enough to utilise the pool but it was nice to sit by it on a morning. We didn't do the breakfast included but used the cafe on site every day and it was honestly one of the best in the area. Proper specialty coffee and healthy, tasty breakfast options, even for me who is gluten free. The location is fabulous, especially if you don't have a car. We walked from the ferry to the hotel and a quick 15 min taxi took us to other towns if we wanted to visit elsewhere on the island. There is a beach nearby and some great restaurants (even in low season!) If we ever return to Formentera we will absolutely stay at Can Micalet again.

Beautiful hotel BUT money was stolen in my room I had a wonderful time at Teranka, the hotel went above and beyond to make my 40th birthday very special.. they even decorated my room with balloons and a bottle of bubbly.. HOWEVER, a large amount of cash was stolen from my wallet (did not use the safe, my bad, but in such a luxury hotel you don’t expect this) so this left me with a mixed feeling. Beautiful hotel with an excellent breakfast – honestly one of the best I’ve ever had (they even had fresh avocado slices!). The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only downsides were that the hotel isn’t directly on the seafront, so you don’t get sea views, and the flooring in our room was in need of urgent repair.

We absolutely loved our stay at Blanco. We stayed four nights. This begins with the wonderful staff. Besides, the hotel is situated just a two-minute walk from one of the imho nicest beaches to take a bath on the whole island. We were here Middle of May in 2024 and the ocean was warm enough to swim. I think, for a trip to Formentera it's usefull to speak at least a little bit Spanish. My experience was that English indeed didn't seem common; German, of course, is not. :-D We have travelled with TUI. All worked fine, also the transfers from Ibiza Airport to the hotel and back. One thing - if you are in possession of a credit card, please pack it when you are going to vacation! I stupidly didn't (my last vacation abroad was in 2015 and I got invited at that time) and it would have been much easier if I had, because the hotel needs € 50,00 for each day of the stay for security deposit. ;-)

The hotel itself is really beautiful but it is located right next to a big street. It has a nice small pool area and a really friendly cleaning lady but all in all I would only consider it for people that don’t care about sound or safety. There wasn’t anyone at the reception so we had to check ourselves in and the front doors are always open and you can only lock the glass door to your room, so as girls we didn’t feel safe. Maybe the host should consider putting a numbers lock at the front door and also there wasn’t any sign of free breakfast in the morning.

They will make you leave the bicycle outside. There seems to be no one around from the staff at night. Absolutely nothing to fault here. We stayed 3 nights and I wished we had booked longer. The spa was lovely and we could take our toddler with us if we went in the morning. The sauna and outdoor pool are especially good. Breakfast was great too with a huge buffet and hot dishes to order. Coffee is great if you order from the bar. Our room was spacious and very clean and there’s a little kitchenette to do basic meals and coffee/tea. There’s also a beach umbrella for use, and a bag to take your beach stuff in. The toiletries in the shower were organic and of great quality. I even used the shampoo on my toddler. The staff made our whole stay. They were all super friendly and very helpful. Overall we loved our stay, our toddler was happy, and we would love to be back. I highly recommend!

This is a fabulous hotel and the breakfast really is excellent. The staff extremely friendly and attentive. Location is great, just on the edge of town so extremely quiet. We didn't spend time at the pool or spa but they look top notch. Some areas for improvement: - Whilst the cleaning was pretty good, sometimes is seemed the shower and toilet floor had not been cleaned - we were in room on the second floor and the air-conditioning unit on the roof was loud in the room. Too loud and should be addressed - sometimes in the roof there was a smell of sewage coming from the shower. We could clear this ourselves but not what you expected. We'd definitely go back!

Absolutely lovely warm and inviting and helpful staff - we came out of season and it was very quiet and a little rainy so we made good use of the inside spa area with steam room and sauna and jacuzzi pool. Outside the pool area is very pretty and would be amazing on a hot sunny day in season! Everything super clean in all communal areas and our room with comfy beds and slippers and robes provided. Would stay again in summer, very reasonably priced.

A must do if visiting Formonterra - one of the best restaurant experiences we've ever had.The staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly and always there when you wanted them. Food was amazing - we had a few raw items, sushi and then fish of the day for our mains. Everything was exceptional. Yes it's expensive, but worth it imo.

Service is absolutely terrible. The waiter we had had an awful attitude and paid no attention to us, he was very abrasive, slammed water and menus on the table. For the price of the food, I don’t expect this. Food was very tasty but was ruined by the service. We felt pressured and rushed to leave after we had paid the bill. Beso Beach was wonderful. The ambience was lovely, the staff were extremely polite and welcoming. Miguel, our waiter (5 star out of 5), was on top form! Thank you so much to him for making our stay so fantastic. The only disappointment was that nobody informed us that there is no longer a celebration of the “Tardeo” after 6, which we were sticking around for. I think in the future you should send an email to guests who may be expecting this. Other than that, a lovely time. (The only reason service is 4 not 5 is because of the lack of communication of the party after 6pm)

Most places in Ibiza had lacking customer service. I think the volume of tourists means they don't have to be too concerned about the experience the patrons have. It started with a bench being used to fit more that what was a comfortable amount of people, they initially refused to add another chair, insisting we make do with the bench only. It was a large group of us, all around a table, one side needed another chair. We eventually got the chair, but was there any need for all the hastle? Also they had "home made chips" as a side for 10€, when they came it was actually crisps!?! Home made crisps! We were like, we thought these were chips, and they said.. "no that's french fries and we don't do them here" for 10€ you'd expect them to be bloody chips! We mentioned had we known they were crisps, or called crisps on the menu, we wouldn't have ordered them, they replied with "it's too late, they're here". So their customer service isn't that great. Music was good, so ambience was nice, but please bear in mind, there was only one male and one female toilet cubical available and the place gets very busy, so that is also something that's a bit of an issue. It can get very packed in there, our food service was slow, it took around 3hrs to have our starters and mains served.

Very touristy and felt a bit gimmicky at times but still a great time if you’re with a big group! The tuna belly carpaccio and eggplant dish were probably my favorite. The paella was flavorful and seafood (especially langoustines) was perfectly cooked. I would say it is a bit too salty for my palate but very enjoyable particularly if you’ve had multiple drinks and need to line your stomach! One of our friends had a shellfish allergy so we ordered a vegetable paella for her and it was actually surprisingly tasty!! Drinks wise, they’re known for the white cava sangria - pretty decent and not super sweet. We ended with espresso martinis and it was delicious so would recommend that to keep the party going! This is worth stopping by if you’re on a boat in a large group and want the Ibiza party experience!

Had a lovely late lunch at Beso Beach Formentera - the seafood dishes and the paellas are outstanding. Great drinks, we loved the mezcalitas and the cava sangrias. While our server was super lovely, we had a bit of an unfortunate start where they had made a mistake with our booking but were seemingly blaming us, even though we had all the details - luckily we pushed back and had all the confirmations to show and it worked out in the end, but definitely need to be aware of slightly pushy behaviour. Other than that, it was a lovely and fun vibe, perfect for a large group / event.

Some of the staff, especially in the restaurant, they were a bit rude to us which it was really disappointed after all the money we spent there! The hostel and facilities themself are very old and, although they solved the problem with the pressure in the shower, be very careful because my friend and I have ended up covered in massive bites everywhere. It doesn't seem like mosquitoes bites at all so we suspect they were bedbugs :-( No matter how many times I return to Formentera, I would never book this hostel again.

We were extremely lucky as there was a very nice little festival on the main square while we were there - this made the location excellent! Besides that, the location is really good, near to beaches (rent a scooter!). The hostel has a nice vibe to it. People are friendly and laid-back. No cars travel in front of the hostel, as it's a pedestrian street with a few nice restaurants. The pool was great after a beach day! We'll be back!

Kiosko 62 at times had a magical vibe and attracted all kinds of people including many locals. Now there is a generic bar with generic ibiza-style music catering to well situated tourists. You can't beat the location itself, the beach, the sea, the sundown of course, and the people working at Karai probably do their best. But for people who are lucky enough to have known Kiosko 62 the new bar Karai can be a very, very sad place. The magic is gone.
