Mediterranean restaurant
Spanish restaurant
Volta i Volta is a restaurant located in the Historic Centre of Javea, offering a modern twist on traditional Mediterranean cuisine. The establishment carefully selects regional dishes and reinvents them with contemporary flair. The restaurant boasts beautifully presented, modern interpretations of classic Mediterranean fare, complemented by an extensive wine list that focuses on organic and eco-friendly options. With its gorgeous setting and friendly service, Volta i Volta provides a fine dining experience at reasonable prices.
Took the menu del dia at Volta i Volta as a Valentine’s Day treat and wasn’t disappointed. The food was of exceptional standard, beautifully presented in a wonderful location in Xabia old town. Great flavour and texture combinations danced across the pallet with every course. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable and the ambiance was second to none. The restaurant isn’t large but that adds to the intimate atmosphere. Volta i Volta is highly recommended and we’ll be back dining here again soon.

We went on a quiet night at the start of the week so got a table easily. Service was perfect. I had Lamb 2 ways: charred grilled loin and its skirt Wellington-style with crushed artichoke and avocado, which was lovely. To follow our friend recommended Torrija (home made french toast, with raisins and ice cream), so all three of us had that. I've eaten many delicious desserts and lots of lovely french toast, but that was delicious - just mentioning it makes me want it again now 😊

Great place with nice interior, fresh food with unusual combination of flavours, outstanding service. We didn’t ask the name of our waiter, we only know that he is from Venezuela. Hats off for the perfect welcome 🤗

Service could be quicker but the food is incredible. I enjoyed every dish. Nice interior design of the restaurant. The second floor tables between the windows are pretty at daytime for a nice lunch. They have both a la carte as well as a tasting menu.

Fantastic, good value set menu for lunch. We’re happy to change one of the courses we didn’t fancy. Excellent friendly service in both English and Spanish. Good wines at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
Andrew W — Google review
Great place to try high quality dishes, made from local ingredients. Great lunch menu offer, not to be missed. Best to make a reservation upfront. Most delicious mushrooms soup I’ve tried.

We had a lovely lunch, took the lunch menu which is unbeatable value for money. Delicious food and very attentive service. Will definitely come back!

The most expensive right staurznt we did around javea, not having checked the prices before seating... It is not bad but it fo isn't worth the price... And we were still hungry leaving that place... So be aware...

Italian restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurante La Casa della pasta Jávea is a charming Italian eatery located near the old town, offering a warm and welcoming ambiance with rustic decor and soft lighting. The restaurant is known for its exquisite homemade pasta dishes, authentic Italian flavors, and well-prepared Italian meat dishes. It features a spacious covered outdoor terrace and a small playground for children, making it an inviting option for families.
Amazing place. The outdoor area is great. You can enjoy your meal in the shadows of beautiful trees even when it's pretty hot outside. The food is delicious. One of the best raviolis I've ever tried (even in Italy). The desert of the day was great. We'll definitely come back.
Christina U — Google review
This restaurant is a game of 2 halves, the atmosphere is great and the setting is good. Unfortunately the main part of this review has to be how disappointing everything else was. The portion size is small and the flavour is not there too be honest. The service was not great, upon asking for a drink to be corrected as they did it wrong we were made to feel like it was our fault that they made the mistake. Please consider other restaurants in the area as you will pay less and receive a much better service and food quality. I can only unfortunately say that this is overated by the people who own it and think that they are doing an amazing job and serve spectacular food but the truth is far from this. Could do a lot better!!!

Lovely restaurant, I would book in advance. Very busy evening on a Tuesday! Luckily they had room for us outside which is a beautiful part of the place. The food was sensational and all handmade. We had 3 courses and all were delicious. Service was great and the servers were happy and friendly, they didn't laugh at my attempts in Spanish too. Highly recommend! 👌
Chris H — Google review
Had dinner here on a Tuesday night. We didn’t have a reservation, but they still managed to find us a table—super friendly staff. If you’re coming in high season, though, better book ahead. We kicked things off with a cheese platter and shared the pasta and steak. Honestly, the steak was spot on: perfectly medium rare, maybe the best I’ve had in Spain. Don’t skip the pistachio helado—just €3, and it’s an actual dessert, not just a scoop of ice cream. If you’re into wine, grab the Poppone bottle! 5/5 stars.
Jacob V — Google review
Maybe my palate is not sufficiently sophisticated to appreciate the subtle difference in texture and flavour between fresh and dried pasta, or maybe there is something that is not special enough to interest me; something more ordinary and bland. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant is nice enough; There is a lovely, large, covered outside dining area at the back; and the service was quick, polite and attentive. It's just the food; There is nothing wrong or unpleasant about it. It was nice. I was just left with the impression that I could make a pretty good stab at something similar at about a quarter of the price. Don't be put off by my experience; if you love pasta, you will love this place. It's just that my taste buds were asking me the serious question about why I didn't eat in the restaurant next door

What a great find! Worth the little detour away from the centre of town - Wonderfully attentive staff, delicious dishes & very well priced! We had 3 wines, 1 starter, 2 mains & 2 desserts for €53. Highly recommend & will definitely return!
Chrystal F — Google review
Delicious Italian food in a relaxed setting. One of the best Italian restaurants we have been to. This is a family favourite whenever we are in Javea. The starters are huge but delicious , the mains are a good size but not huge like the starters. Friendly staff and reasonably priced , out of season it is even better value. During high season you will definitely need to book as it is always busy.
Dark N — Google review
We were a party of four for lunch on a hot day. The covered outside area was inviting with fans and AC. Service was friendly and efficient. All our meals were super, a notch above the average Italian menu. Beer was cold. Ample parking. Zero negatives. To be repeated.

Mediterranean restaurant
Restaurante Cala Bandida Jávea-Xàbia is a rustic-chic spot offering breakfast, seafood tapas, and cocktails with colorful bar and waterside seating. It provides fantastic views of the bay of Javea and serves modern Med-fusion food in a laid-back beachfront setting. The restaurant has become a favorite among locals and holidaymakers due to its blissful, breezy ambiance, panoramic sea views, and beautiful beachy decor.
We love the place as it has very amzing view to the beach/sea. We were lucky to get a table as a walk in guests during busy summer. The food were amazing, the staff was good. Only small hiccup to experience that my son belt was gone when he left it accidently in the toilet. Definitely not the restaurant’s fault, it was a good learning not to left anything behind. In conclusion, we will come back when we visit Javea again.

The views are stunning. Food and service top notch. They have the best hummus I have ever had.

Great family run place since 1965 in Xàbia, Alicante. Menu of the day with a choice of starters, main and desert or coffee for 22 euros is excellent valued for money. Big portions and fresh seafood. I had Mediterranean Salad, Swordfish and Cortado! Highly recommend
Amar S — Google review
Stopped here for breakfast with a few pals. Beautiful views across Javea beach. Breakfast order was taken and arrived in good time. It was delicious. I would definitely will pop back again!
Joanna — Google review
Very expensive and not worth it. Service was lackluster and despite our request (and plenty of free tables - which remained empty during our visit) we were seated inside. Paella had barely any meat. Will not visit again for food ❌
John D — Google review
I used to really love this place, but I feel like it has changed quite a lot. The portions seem so small, like half the size what they used to be. My family likes to eat starters and share everything. We needed way to many too actually get full (and we are not big eaters) and not for a cheap price. This was not like this on previous years. Overall, quite disappointing that this is how it is now; the food is truly delicious but the relationship price/quality is not worth it :(
Pepa P — Google review
Very welcoming, we arrived with no reservation on a busy lunchtime and they were couldn’t be more accommodating Food was very nice not exceptional but then again the prices were reasonable. It’s a fabulous location. The views are outstanding and I would thoroughly recommend it.
Matt G — Google review
Today was my wife’s birthday celebration, we booked off the back of the reviews, unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The various courses came out at vastly different times, everything was disjointed, the food was ok but not worth the prices. It was supposed to be an amazing experience but really didn’t deliver. I had a little moan and received a bottle of Cava on the house but really that didn’t compensate of what should have been a very special evening. I think the price should represent the service and it absolutely didn’t. I would think wisely before paying premium prices for mediocre service. Very disappointed! Sadly!

Masena is a charming restaurant located on the outskirts of Javea, offering a mix of French and Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant provides a cozy and rustic atmosphere with seasonal menu changes. It is known for its popular dishes such as Chateaubriand, goat cheese salad, and duck breast with orange. The establishment also features a children's playground next to its terrace, making it an ideal spot for families to enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner while kids have fun.
We spent a lovely evening in the restaurant. The service was very good and the food excellent. It was worth the price! Hope to be back
Marion R — Google review
Absolutely exceptional experience. We popped past on the off chance and managed to get a table for 2. The service was fantastic, the ambiance seated outdoors was lovely and the food...wow the food! Every dish was an event and by far the best food we have had so far in a year of living in Spain. The fact this gem is only 5 mins from our door insurers we will be back again. 5 stars is not enough. I was enjoying it so much I forgot to take pictures but the deserts had to be snapped.
Richard W — Google review
Yes, you should get the chateaubriand 👍 and the rodaballo is exquisite. Everything was impressive, perhaps with the exception of the gambas al ajillo — four small red prawns doesn't quite do the dish's name justice. Flavor was nice, just not enough to justify the 19€ price tag.
Julie Q — Google review
Dear Owner of La Masena. I think you are confusing my party with other clients. We arrived at 7.30 not 7.00. The waiter seated us and we then had to ask 3 times for a menu. The waiter took orders for 2 drinks and wandered off. When he came back with 2 drinks - for a party of 5! - we had to ask for wine which eventually arrived. During the meal service was slow and we had to ask 2 different waiters for the bill and then wait a further 10 minutes for someone to find your card reader. Despite that we left a tip. At no time did anyone explain that you were short staffed. One of my favourite restaurants, but yesterday the service was terrible. We got seated and then ignored for at least 25 minutes before we had a drink and the menu. Throughout the evening it did not get any better. Ignored by the waiter who was supposed to be looking after our table. I had to ask for attention continuously even when asking for the bill. It was a shame Valentino was not there as it would have not happened. Will not be back for some time...
Kim K — Google review
Literally everything was really excellent. The food, the ambience, the people who were so happy in their work, and very accommodating to all of our party of 6 people. Our first time, and we will definitely be back. Thank you all for a wonderful lunch today.
Wolf L — Google review
Great restaurant. The Chateaubriand was the best I have ever tasted, the meat was high quality, fresh; the roasted potatoes are so well cooked, they feel very soft in the middle yet with the right consistency outside. The salad was delicious, as well as, the roasted veggies. Definitely a must go place for good meat. There are not many in Jávea so make sure you come here!!
Elvira P — Google review
If you are looking for a cozy and highscale place to enjoy food, then Masena would be your choice. Set in tranquil surroundings away from the beach, Masena offers fabolous food and good service. It's recommended to make your reservations as this place gets busy. The terrace is shaded and a comfortable place to sit, while the inside looks spectacular. In my opinion, you should try the cheesecake. Masena have a style of their own, and it is by far the best I have ever had.
Kaspar — Google review
Nice food, the carpaccio and duck foue was delicious! We had fish for the lunch and it was really good. It's a lovely and beautiful place to spend some good time. The staff is wonderful, very nice and fun. Unfortunately we reserved a table outside (as I said it's a beautiful place) and it was a very hot day, that's the only thing I can say we didn't enjoyed.

Indian restaurant
Vegetarian restaurant
Curry Palace is a top-rated Indian and Nepalese restaurant located in Javea, offering a delectable selection of Indian, Nepali, and Balti cuisine. The skilled chefs expertly prepare perfectly spiced meals that cater to various preferences, including hot curries. The restaurant also boasts an impressive wine list with the option of enjoying vino de la Casa.
Great food and a lot of choices for us 'non meat-eaters'. Generous servings as well; two of the three of us, brought a doggybag back home. Efficient and attentive service by smiling staff throughout the meal. I highly recommend Curry Palace. We are returning customers, were here some years ago and will come back.
Børre F — Google review
The Curry Palace has been a consistent favourite of ours over many years. We have recommended it to numerous friends and acquaintances and have shared our positive experiences on TripAdvisor. On our most recent  visit, however, we invited friends & anticipated the usual high standard. Whilst the service was excellent and the food was plentiful, we found our menu choices to be extremely underwhelming if quite frankly 'not very nice' across all main dishes. Sadly, a lot of food went to waste. For now, we'll put down to our menu choice, but this is extremely unusual as we love all curry dishes & a first for us in any Indian Restaurant anywhere.  The ice cream dessert whilst delicious was very small. One side of our party left an extremely healthy tip, whilst not expected we were not offered a complimentary drink at the end, which caused raised eyebrows when our neighbouring table received a tray of complimentary drinks. Note: this restaurant offers an all inclusive menu but does not openly advertise it anymore. So you'll need to ask the staff if you desire this! Whilst we'll continue to recommend 'The Curry Palace', our recommendation now comes with reservation, 'A meal is only as good as the last' Based on our overall experience we will be trying the 'Royal Ghurka' on our next visit to Javea for a change.
Fletch U — Google review
This is the second time in a couple of years that we have eaten there when visiting Spain and we couldn't recommend it high enough. We are originally from London where we have experienced many Indian meals and this was certainly up there with the best of them. Absolutely delicious!
Louise G — Google review
Such a shame! Had high hopes for here... normally eat at Kathmandu, but fancied somewhere different.. Had to wait a long time to order, (almost an hour) but they were busy i guess. Starter was ok, king prawn puree was too sweet, and paneer pakora was luke warm. Tandoori mixed grill wasnt bad, but a little dry. Naan, I ordered a chicken tikka naan, but it came with cheese in it, not sure if my fault or now, but melted cheddar in a naan was disgusting, neither of us ate it. The biggest issue is that no one at all came to the table to check on the food at any point... not until the plates were cleared.. (about 20 mins after we finished eating!)which was too late tbh. I mentioned the naan and they offered to make us one without cheese, great, but too little too late. They did, at their own choice take the naan off the bill, which i appreciate, but it all could have been solved with someone just coming to the table occasionally... Also, the house wine... yuk... Summary. Service needs improvement, small issues that could have been sorted left us with a bad taste in the mouth.
Ian A — Google review
Absolutely lovely place. The staff or family are just so welcoming and friendly. Anything is no trouble. And the food is just lovely to. We sat outside, basically right next to the footpath, so we could see the fireworks in the bay.
Mark T — Google review
Absolutely recommended to try if you haven't yet. The service is top class with some great recommendations, the food is also really really good. My other half never was a fan of Nepalese nor Indian cuisine, however after dining at the Curry Palace, he ordered more food for take away 😅 Thank you! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Restaurante BonAmb, short for Bon Ambient which means "good atmosphere" in Valencian, is a renowned Michelin-starred restaurant situated in Javea. The restaurant takes pride in its Mediterranean roots and focuses on incorporating the gastronomic tradition and history of the Javea area into its dishes. It sources organic fruits and vegetables sustainably from the local region to ensure freshness and quality.
Beautiful setting in Jávea area for this 2 Michelin star restaurant (as of 2024). The service is very attentive and discerning of customer needs. Creative dishes well executed and presented. A small improvement point from my experience is that several dishes felt a bit salty and flavours did not stand out. Overall a great culinary experience worth its rating.
Antonio S — Google review
This was a special occasion for me and my family. I felt let down and embarrassed that I choose to come here. Every dish was around 4-7 out of 10. Nothing spectacular. Not a single wow among our table of 4 and around 12 courses. I personally found a distinct lack of variety of texture and by the end of the meal I was tired of getting yet another fish dish in a brown sauce. A particular low light was the goat milk cheesecake with lamb sauce. It tasted worse than it sounds and yes, it came in another brown sauce. Another low was getting cold pasta. When the surely waitress asked if everything was ok I told her the dish was cold. 'Vale' (ok) was her one word response. She clearly didn't care and on one occasion was squabbling with her colleague. Not a good look for a 2 star Michelin restaurant. I'm glad most people enjoy their visit here. I did not. I won't go back and I wouldn't recommend. Easily my worst Michelin star experience. Update: the restaurant tried to get this review removed. They have not commented or apologised in anyway for the poor experience.

Tony L — Google review
We had an evening reservation for 2. Arriving at the restaurant the first impression was a very warm welcome by the staff and the impeccable design of the interior and exterior. The design is very clean & focused, capturing the local esthetics perfectly in a modern style without being pretentious or overloaded at all. Before being seated we received our first amuse-bouche, an ancestral preparation of cured fish & a cucumber honey concoction - a nice touch setting expectations to experience more traditional ingredients & preparations from the region. At our table overlooking the pristine garden & sunset we were presented with the menu, giving the choice of 3 tasting menus mainly varying in number of dishes. A la carte dining choosing from the same dishes was an option. We chose the sol menu which is the ‘medium’ choice featuring 10 main dishes, 4 starters and 4 desserts plus the wine pairing. We requested a couple of changes to include dishes from the larger menu which was no issue. Service - overall we were very happy with the service receiving the right amount of attention including good explanations on the dishes without being intrusive or overbearing. Probably being a good 10-15 years younger than the normal clientele of such restaurants we felt very much welcome and appreciate the enthusiasm of the staff for the regional concept of the restaurant. Wine - due to the seafood focus of the menu, the overwhelming majority of the wines where whites, with only 3 reds. The pairings worked very well and we had a number of very original wines we would not have considered outside of such a setting. Moreover there was a number of original items like a regional sparkling sake or a wine-beer hybrid. Overall we were very happy with the wines. Food - the menu has a strong seafood focus, with the initial dishes showing strong Japanese influences which I enjoyed a lot. The only criticism is that some of the portions might be slightly too large for such an extensive menu. Especially the regional pastry dish - while enjoyable and well made - was definitely too large. A positive surprise was the Spanish caviar and sheep milk dish which to my surprise was very tasty. The mains showcased local ingredients very well and overall with the standouts being the cured tuna & iberico, the radish with egg yolk, the sepia noodles as well as the lamb belly. The dessert taco (pumpkin&sweet potatoe mouse with passion fruit & yuzu) was fantastic and a perfect refreshing bite. The peach mousse with yuzu sorbet was one of our favorite dishes of the meal. Unfortunately the almond cake was not overly inventive or special and a bit of a low point compared to the previous two very amazing dishes. The macaroons were a nice finish to be paired with a coffee or digestive. Overall the meal progression was quite good with the above criticism of some of the earlier dishes being a bit on the heavy/large portion side. Taste and preparation was excellent throughout which is to be expected at this level and - except for one or two dishes - everything was very inventive and unique and along a clear philosophy to be very true to the regional traditional foods and preparation methods while pushing the innovation by introducing Japanese flavors and techniques in a sensible and respectful manner. The price tag including menus, wines, water & aperitif and coffee was around 430 euro for 2 which we considered a fair price given quality of food &service. Overall we can only recommended this restaurant, it was a very good experience start to finish and we left the restaurant after 3.5 hrs very full & happy. When we come back to the region we will definitely visit again.

This is probably one of best fish-based tasting menus you can have around the world. Impeccably gentle and polite service, amazing decoration, plenty of extreme quality food no matter the menu, and desserts that will last in my memory for a good while. Don't even think twice. Investing in this experience is something you will not regret but remember 😃

4th Michelin stop in our little gastronomic tour on the Spanish east coast. Have a look at other reviews to compare and follow the challenges with my lists. What’s extraordinary here? Usually, I’m looking for what’s interesting but here it’s extraordinary. First, a bit of context, in gastronomy, there’s this concept of « Alliance terre mer « (matching food from earth and the sea). It’s a big thing, and most of the 2 and 3 stars try to have at least a dish where they showcase that they master it. I highly suspect that’s a criteria to go from 2 to 3. Especially in France. One of the reasons it’s a really big thing is because you can have a dish with a wider specter in terms of aroma, but you need to match stuff that are really difficult to balance. Well, you’re in the house of one of (if not The) the master of this delicate Art. And I’ve tried a lot of Michelin (most of them, I did not publish a review), so I’m writing with some background here. The craziest is that the chef is a natural. I don’t think he’s thinking of doing it consciously. No, it’s just natural for him. How can I be so sure? Well, two reasons : it’s in the roots and got a tip! The tip came from the right arm of the chef (le second). We had the chance to chat a little bit (she’s French, that helped me..), and during the chat I had a glimpse of the chef creative process. That’s my tip. It has to feel right. And to feel right, it has to be rooted. Which brings me to the second and the main point, it’s in their roots. I had the chance to chat (yes, I do like a lot to speak with the staff… I’m a nightmare!) with the co owner Pablo Catalá, and it stroke me. Pablo was explaining that people around here were working the earth during the days (cherishing their winter tomatoes, etc…) and fishing at night (they have their own techniques). That’s who they are. That’s the chef, Alberto Ferruz , and the co owner, Pablo. That’s the key to understand their food. It’s not instinctive, it’s their culture so deeply rooted that it feels natural. Hence this seemingly unnatural capacity to associate ingredients from the land and from the sea. I did not mention the staff because I was mesmerized by Pablo stories, but he has a great brigade de salle. In my book, it’s a top tiers two stars pushing to three stars, especially since the price point give them margin to grow.

Impressive and absolutely brilliant restaurant. One really can't understand why BonAmb does not qualify to be a top ranking restaurant globally, as it has everything and more to succeed: a beautiful and modern setting, an attentive and exquisite staff, and the most important of all, a menu to impress you. Chef Ferruz and his formidable team are masters of textures. Whether it's the use of vegetables, shellfish, fish or meat, it is a festival of flavor, texture and taste. Pure and constant display of mastery that brings back old techniques to marry them with modernity. I didn't expect this level of perfection and was truly blown away to become a dedicated fan of BonAmb.

It is, with out a doubt, one of the best restaurants in the area. Food is outstanding. The service is impeccable and the sumiller is a star! He always helps us discover new and exciting wines and champagnes! Extra touch: my son is a leftie, they noticed and set up the cutlery accordingly for every dish! Little details that are special.

Chabada is a beachfront restaurant and champagne bar owned by The Javea Company, known for its top-notch service. The open setting of the restaurant allows guests to enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, although it can be confusing for smokers and non-smokers. Recently renovated and expanded, Chabada now offers swanky decor, trendy eats, live music on selected nights, and even houses an in-house boutique.
Great food, good options for a group of 10 with various takes. Squid, meatballs, and the bacon Cheeseburger were all great. It's a large restaurant on the beach.

Absolutely Incredible Experience! This place is an absolute gem right in the heart of the Arenal (beach promenade). The location couldn’t be more central, making it a perfect spot to meet up with friends or start a night out. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric—great vibes, fantastic music, and a warm, welcoming energy that makes you want to stay all night. The food was delicious, the drinks were top-notch (seriously, some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while), and the service was spot-on. The staff are super friendly, efficient, and clearly love what they do. But what really set this place apart was the manager. He left such a lasting impression—genuinely one of the most welcoming, attentive, and personable people I’ve ever come across in hospitality. He made everyone feel like VIPs, and you can tell he’s fully on top of everything happening in the venue. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!

A Must-Visit in Arenal! Amazing spot right on the beach with great vibes. We danced to some salsa music while waiting for our food and drinking some Sangria. Delicious food with a choice for everyone in the family; from curry to burger to Paella. Will go back!

Great pizza with a view – Chabada, Jávea I had the pepperoni pizza, and it pleasantly surprised me – slightly spicy and full of flavor. I really enjoyed it. I also had a mojito, which was very tasty as well. The whole experience was topped off with a beautiful view of the beach and relaxing background music. A great spot to unwind and enjoy good food.

We went here for lunch yesterday 26/09/25 having a lovely day on Arenal Beach. What can I say the food was absolutely gorgeous. The waiters were very quick asking what drinks you would like. They left you to peruse the menu at your leisure. We ordered a Chabada salad, calamari Roma & patas bravas. We had 2 pints of Heineken. The food come out about 20 mins after ordering and the portion sizes were excellent. The staff checked on us to see if everything was ok which it was. The bill came to e41 euros. Wow. We definitely will be going again. It was extremely busy one of the busiest on the front so that tells you something about how popular it is.

Fab seafront restaurant in centre of beach. Prime position but reasonable prices- no wonder it was packed. Lunch for two - €25 and great food. Didn't include drinks as I was driving but quality. Nice friendly atmosphere and great service. What more could one want and only 50m from my sunbed!

The restaurant has received praise for its faultless service and stunning food, making it highly recommended by visitors.
My fav spot since the first time we tried this. Best food in Javea, lovely service, beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend!! And best porn star martinis I’ve ever tasted!

What a truly beautiful setting for lunch. On top of that fantastic service, great drinks, and incredible food make this a highly recommended place. We dined on a Friday at 2pm and the terrace was maybe half full but my local friends advise to make a reservation especially for the weekend. The menu is off a QR code but they do have hard copies available if you need it. Dog friendly for the outdoor seating; not sure about inside. Between the four of us we shared 8 dishes. The tuna tataki was incredible but honestly everything we ate impressed us. Even the edamame has a beautiful smoky, slightly chili bite to it which made it extra special. They make good use if a charcoal bbq in the kitchen 🥰 Yes the prices are on the high side but you won't be disappointed with what you get for that price. Set this place on your to do list as a special meal and enjoy

An amazing experience! We loved everything! The place is amazingly beautiful the staff was extremely attentive and polite and the food was exquisite! We had the Peruvian cevice and the T-bone and they were one of the best we have ever had. And the bread - unbelievable. Altogether this restaurant deserves a 10 not a 5 :)

Looking for a little paradise with delicious food, friendly service and an almost tropical ambiente? Well, the “Terra” might fit your bill! Yes, the prices are a bit higher but you get value for it: The food was excellent, starting right with the olives that came with the drinks - a class or two above the average. The bread and aioli was a treat, with fresh crusty bread and nice salsas. The salad with figs, avocado, apples and pomegranate was crowned with an exquisite dressing which brought out the individual flavors. We tasted the pork belly and the stake and both were excellent quality and outstandingly prepared and presented. An true treasure to be discovered and enjoyed- I would rate it 5 star+!!!

Lovely restaurant in a nicely decorated setting. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. We were asked if we liked the glass of wine we ordered and also the food. We shared the solomillo as we are not big eaters and it came with chips and brocolli, cauliflower and carrots. It was nicely presented. The bread and aioli came with tomato salsa and was a big enough portion for 2 or 3 people. We had a lovely experience and was made very welcome. The menu is varied and makes you want to try a different dish next time. They do burgers which we saw being served and they looked good. The prices are reasonably priced for the quality of food and ingredients.

Two fabulous meals on Thursday and Saturday this week. Absolutely wonderfully presented, delicious food. The Sea bass to share was stunning. The Thai steak salad was out of this world, and the grilled ribeye (on the bone) was as good as it could ever get. The grilled pineapple with coconut ice cream, the chocolate tartlet with almonds, and "the original" tarte tatin were all to die for. The kitchen staff had obviously already worked their wonders, but all the front-of-house staff were just so welcoming and friendly. Carlos (in particular) was attentive, pleasant and helpful and made the whole experience special. He suggested appropriate wines, without letting his finger wander down the menu to big-priced bottles. Sharing a common interest in football and Oasis, he made time to chat, yet wasn't neglecting other tables. All-in-all probably one of the best restaurant experiences ever ... and that's saying something.

An excellent Indian restaurant a few streets back from the busy Arenal. The interior looked very nice but they also had a terrace at the back set in a small square. Restaurante Tosca is a charming dining spot nestled in the picturesque coastal town of Javea, offering a delightful culinary experience that showcases the vibrant flavors of Mediterranean cuisine. Situated overlooking the sea, this restaurant has garnered popularity among both locals and visitors for its impeccable service and mouthwatering dishes. The name 'Tosca' pays homage to the region's historically mined sandstone, reflecting the team's reverence for local food and wine.
We went here last year, and again this year for my birthday and then once more, because the Sol menu changed and it is just sooo good. For me this is the best restaurant in Javea. My review is for the Sol, lunch menu (because we have a 2 year old). With what I've tasted, the love of food and ingredients shines through. Flavours are light and interesting and the service is impeccable. The lady server is lovely, can't understand a word she says but she is a ray of sunshine. Wines are also fabulous. The second time we went I paid and because I am so bad at math I undertipped a little (my husband pointed this out later and I felt horrible). We'll make that up when we come back. Thank you so much for the best food and service experience in Javea!

Not very hearty portions as one would imagine Excellent service by head of house, and secondary waiter. Ceviche de pescado was perfect with many surprising elements. I won’t give any spoilers here… Prompt attention for everything. Good wine selection with local and regional options. Very reasonably priced in relation to other places around the area. As far as seafood goes there is something here for everyone. They were even thoughtful enough to cap the dinner with a glass of moscato which is a small gesture but it does make a nice impression after a pleasant dining experience. Gracias

Beautiful patio seating available - definitely book. The food was excellent,I wouldn't usually choose the salt baked fish ,but they filet it for you in front of you ,and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was also just as good. The warm crusty bread is hard to resist, but definitely try and save room for the desserts ,the lemon meringue was really in your face lemon but if you love citrus dessert this is a must . Not the cheapest but definitely one of the best in the area.

I've had the pleasure of dining at Carnaval twice. The first time, I ordered a vegan poke bowl with tofu. The bowl was fantastic, with fresh ingredients, though I found the two accompanying sauces less appealing. On my second visit, I tried their breakfast options. The cashew butter toast was outstanding, and the avocado toast was also delicious. Additionally, the freshly pressed juices were excellent. However, I must mention that the prices are quite high. Personally, I am willing to pay more for high-quality, fresh food, but this is something each person has to decide for themselves. Overall, Carnaval offers great food, but be prepared for the higher cost.

One of favorite restaurant in the costa blanca. the food is a 10+. fantastic always. the service is so bad.... There's a tall waitress working, and oh my god, that's truly awful. Chef Fabrizio's culinary skills shine through the menu, which features homemade international, Asian, and Japanese dishes alongside Mediterranean cuisine with an Italian touch.
Unusual and creative sharing menu. We ordered 4 dishes for 4 people which was easily enough and easy to do as 1 choice each. Wide choice. Set in the middle of the old town in one of the narrow streets. Very reasonable price considering the quality of the food.
Mar K — Google review
Fabrizio is an excellent chef and this is an excellent restaurant. We have been lots of times and it’s always fantastic. Last night we asked him to surprise my wife and I as we usually pick similar dishes each time. He started us with his delicious salad, followed by pear gazpacho and cured mackerel. He then served us a superb pressed pork dish with pickled beetroots & cauliflower with soy. He finished with a piece of steamed turbot with greens and an anchovy cream sauce. It was delicious. He was classically trained in Italy but loves Spain. First time we haven’t had his meatballs in almond cream! It made a nice change to sit in and chat to him as he prepared the food. Great night, thank you so much. 😊

An absolute MUST TRY for Xabia. I’m looking forward to going back again, possibly in the next few days, to try more delicious dishes.

Lovely location but I just don’t understand their concept.. the meat dishes were drenched in heavy sauces and the spaghetti seemed fried/burned? Is it supposed to be Italian tapas? It didn’t make sense to me.. Wines were fine though.

At 9 donde Fabrizio you are in for a unique experience. Set in a living room like atmosphere, the restaurant presents a cozy and vibrant atmosphere to enjoy delicate food prepared by the chef. Everything is freshly made and depending on your order, you may have to wait a little while, but this is the price you pay for getting high quality food. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. A must vist in Xabía if you are looking for that unique experience. I highly recommend the Wellington bacalao.

We were even given a mis en bouche of a little jar of soup which was delicious. All food was delicious, well seasoned and lots of it. The staff were attentive and amusing too. We will be back as soon as possible and can’t recommend La Fontana highly enough. And it was very busy considering it’s midweek.
Mandy W — Google review
Really enjoyed La Fontana during our stay in Xabia. The location on the port is great, just by the promenade and right next to the statue of tennis star David Ferrer which is a nice touch. Food was excellent – I had the seafood paella and it was one of the best I’ve tried in Spain, rice cooked just right. Service was friendly if a bit slow at times, but honestly worth the wait. Prices are fair for the quality and the view. Would definitely come back again.

First time customer. We found a lovely place in the sun and food was excellent. Our waitress Teresa charming and fast. Wine was good too. Very happy customer. Oh and , Glas of wine €3.60. Amazing.
Marcus G — Google review
Food was tasty but more cold than warm. I had to ask for salt as no condiments were offered. He seemed like he could not care less. Never asked if everything was OK with my meal. Never got offered a desert or asked if I wanted one. I'm very disappointed. I have come back to this review as that same evening I had the most awful food poisoning. I believe it was the meat that caused this and I was violently sick over 10 times throughout the night and early morning. I do believe the meat was reheated and then left to get cooler again and this may have been the cause. My friend and I ate and drank the same all day apart from the evening meal when I ate on my own.
Gillian K — Google review
The food was fantastic and the best we’ve had in the region - fresh and with flavor. But the service lacks care and personality. It was adequate service and nothing more. Unfortunately the British and expat clientele in the region have significantly lowered the standard at the Spanish coastal. This is a tourist town and it seems there is little incentive to deliver good service if there will not be repeat customers.
Christine H — Google review
Visited this mid-way through our holiday (August 2024) as reviews looked good and lots mentioned good service. We had a great 1st visit there (I had fish with mussels - pictured) and it was great. Service was very good and very friendly/attentive staff (more so than any other restaurant we visited) - so much so we returned for our final meal of the holiday and again were not disappointed. Sea bass (pictured) was lovely. We had a table right on the promenade each time which made both visits even nicer. Would highly recommend. Book ahead as it can get very busy.

Beautiful restaurant in a great location. But the star is definitely the staff and the food. Extremely tasty and well done plates with a good price and good size portions I could have chosen everything. Very well designed menu and the flavours and presentation shine. There is some very talented chefs The front of house staff are super friendly, work very hard and make the dining experiences enjoyable. Highly recommend, and I would take a detour again in the future to re visit. Well deserved the high ratings they have .

We had a fantastic lunch at Posidonia in Jávea! The grilled scallops were perfect, the oxtail croquettes crunchy and soft, the goat cheese salad fresh and flavorful, and the monkfish paella absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the cozy, relaxed atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Fantastic service, stunning food! We turned up without a booking and they managed to accommodate our group of 7 including two children, which was much appreciated as it was prime busy time, but we got one of the last available tables so I’d recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Well worth the visit and we will be back again! Gracias!

Fantastic beach restaurant. I came here on a hot summer evening and it’s exactly the kind of place you want by the sea – big, open, buzzing with people, but still relaxed. The menu is very Spanish, not the tourist “paella + sangría” trap you get in a lot of coastal towns. We had arroz a banda and grilled sepia – both spot on, rice cooked just right, with that proper depth of flavor you only get when the stock is made the right way. Starters were simple but good – tomatoes actually taste like tomatoes here, and the alioli had a proper kick. Service is friendly and casual, which fits the place, though don’t come here if you’re in a rush – it’s more about long lunches or late dinners with wine flowing. Price is fair for the quality and the location right in front of the port. If you’re in Xàbia in summer and actually want to eat the food locals would order, Posidonia is worth it.
G — Google review
Exceptional from start to finish. I can honestly say I’ve never experienced service like this, warm, attentive, and genuinely above and beyond. The food… next level! The paella was rich and perfectly cooked, the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the daiquiris were hands down the best I’ve ever had. Every bite and every sip was a 10/10 — no exaggeration.

La Cocina is a charming family-owned restaurant located at Avenida Lepanto 2, 03730. The establishment offers a diverse menu inspired by their travels and the flavors of Spain. Operating hours are from 1pm to 3:30pm and from 7pm to 10pm, with closures on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. The new ownership has introduced Yemma-style cuisine, providing an exciting addition to Javea's dining scene.
OMG!! Fabulous, great food and a wonderful family that own and run this place. My wife and I dined for dinner three times. Great vegan options. The mushroom flatbread was downright addictive. The Indonesian mungballs were in a curry sauce like nothing I have had before!!! They also accommodated us the first night when they were really busy.

New ownership, and homing in on a different cuisine: Yemma style! A nice terrass and parking around, but also a lovely decor inside! I think this restaurant is a welcome addition to Javea: for those who want to eat fish or Meat in a different way, the vegetarians, those who are open to a different cuisine, and those who are supportive of local initiative to be an entrepreneur.. i like!

Fabulous restaurant great team work lovely staff & yes the food is the star of the show …..5 stars actually! Using Delicious fresh ingredients the menu is put together to produce a taste sensation! Good wine list & all at a reasonable price
Adele — Google review
Not sure how this restaurant has so much good reviews. The food was a bit mediocre. The dorada was awful and tasted like old fish. The rice in the prawn curry was dry and half cooked. Almost no salt in the food and very little taste. Everything that has fish or seafood on the menu is not fresh even though the place is in a coastal town with abundant fresh fish… but instead they use imported prawns from Asia. Probably because they are much cheaper. In general it’s very disappointing. Very amateurish and I don’t even think they have a qualified chef because everything looked and tasted like a bad attempt of cooking at home. I’m putting 2 stars because the service is good and the owners are friendly. The food is not so much better than McDonald’s.

Just about faultless. Friendly and attentive service, wide menu choices, superbly cooked food, sensational elevated views from the classy upstairs dining room, great and not intrusive musical ambience. Nice little spot — a bit on the pricey side, but the view of the water makes up for it. I had the cod fritters, which were delicious, though the crispy tuna rice was a bit disappointing. The tuna flavor got lost under the sauce, which was just too overpowering. Overall, a pleasant experience! If you don’t eat fish or meat, though, I’d probably recommend another place. :)

We have stopped in here two times in the last month or so. The food is wonderful. Add to that the very pleasant staff and great feeling of the place. This should be a top pick for place simply enjoy a fine meal. I highly recommend the meal of the day. We have tried four different main dishes, and they have all been fantastic!

This was the star of our trip to javea. The servers were really nice and cracking up jokes, all our orders were correct and they were always around to help us. The starters I had were some of the best I’ve had. I’d recommend the prawn croquettes and the patatas bravas were insane. The bread sharer was tasty, and my main I went for the lamb shoulder, it was huge and fell right off the bone. I had a bite of the mixed paella too and I think next time I’d go for that one. The restaurant itself is in a really nice location too and we were able to sit on the terraza. Additionally, the music playing was perfect volume and perfect songs
James B — Google review
Food was good (lamb shoulder pictured) but I had asked if it needed anything else to go with it (e.g. a side dish) and was told this would be plenty. The lamb was accompanied by 1 small piece of pepper and 1 small piece of potato, which was not enough to go with the meat. Tasted great, just portion/quantities could be improved we all felt. August 2024.

We were looking for a place to enjoy paella and ended up at Casa Grau Bistró, and we definitely didn’t regret it. As a starter to share we chose the patatas bravas, which were absolutely delicious, honestly the best I’ve ever had! The paella was also full of flavor and really tasty. The restaurant is located in a charming little street with a terrace, and inside it’s just as cozy and welcoming. A lovely spot to enjoy authentic Spanish food!

Say ´Hi´ to Dani - he is super friendly.

Loved our evening here. Great food, service and atmosphere. Had the 1/2 suckling piglet - so tasty. Crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. A lovely picturesque location serving really nice tapas type food. I made a reservation and was unable to move it by 30 minutes as I couldn’t get them to answer the phone! Waiting staff were indifferent upon our arrival and pointed to a ‘bar code’ for us to access the menu. Food was of lovely quality and deserved a much better introduction to our table than it got! Bill was delivered to the the table while we were still eating and gave the impression that the restaurant is sufficiently busy that customers can be taken for granted , consequence free. Lovely food, disappointing service and very little interest from restaurant personnel when we gave honest feedback. I won’t be back.

Very nice waitres that arranged a table for 11 persons without a problem. We ordered a mix tapas from the chef, and it was delicious. The different tapas dishes arrived with fried vegetables, bravas, sea food, meat, delicious duck and a entrecote that ended a perfect dinner. Nice place and highly recommended.

We were served and seated by a lovely waiter, the food was delicious, in particular the tempura bacaloa and secreto iberico. I've marked the score as a 3 star due to us getting overcharged, and the attitude of the young lady who we paid the bill to, my husband has never ever had his change slammed at him on the counter. We had been here before several years ago and decided to take visiting family members there. The service was good and the food that we ordered was nice. My own feeling is that compared to other places that serve very similar offerings, this was expensive. We probably won't go again for quite a while as there are other comparable places to eat in the same vicinity which we all agreed were better value and of a similar standard. No real complaints and they deserve their good reviews if you don't mind the prices.

Weekend away in Javea & reserved a table for Sat 22/7 as first visit 2 weeks previously was super. Had the same special - baked fillet of turbot with a butter & caper sauce - served with mix of fresh veg - small roast spuds, carrots, courgettes, broccoli, cauliflower. I’ve wanted to try this restaurant for a while after visiting Jávea on numerous occasions and was a little dubious about booking after reading an awful review. This person clearly had been out in the Spanish sun too long or had just crawled out from under a rock! Our meal was delicious and we had excellent service from waiters in shorts? (God forbid) Also nobody rubbed their backside on us so my husband was quite disappointed ! 🙄 Jokes aside I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I would say it’s wise to book if you want to avoid disappointment. Very good value for money and our experience was great! Mucho Gracias!

The is one of my favourite restaurants in Old Town Xabia. It’s become a staple for us. The pulled pork pizza, the burrata salad, eggplant parmigiana…. Delicious. The staff are fun, attentive and kind and always make us feel at home. 💖

My visit to this restaurant was simply awful. We were served by two unfriendly men wearing shorts, who showed absolutely no respect for their guests. While serving, they shamelessly pressed their backsides against us and reached across the table, handing plates over our heads. It was an extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional experience. The whole atmosphere felt messy, unpleasant, and far from what you would expect from a proper restaurant. After dining there, I asked around and, to my surprise, people actually laughed when they heard I had eaten there — apparently, the place already has a bad reputation. In short: a major disappointment. This place is not worthy of being called a restaurant. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. What a joke.

We arrived fairly early about 6pm and the outside seating area was quiet but come 7-8pm the tables started to fill up and the atmosphere was lovely. We were instantly greeted by friendly staff and we ordered food and drinks. There is a very wide range of options for food including vegetarian options. My friend and I shared four plates between us: the birria and pork tacos, spicy chicken wings, and the mozzarella arancini. I highly recommend all of these!! The tacos come in 2s per plate so we thought it would be best to share 4 between us. Each plate was so delicious and cooked with love. The staff were so attentive and took away empty plates and glasses. After the food we decided to stay for a while longer as the atmosphere was so lovely. It was a nice mix between locals and tourists and a pleasant level of distant chatter. We left tips for the staff as their service was so great. Additionally, I believe there is street parking in the town that shouldn't be more than a 10 minute walk away. Overall, we had a lovely authentic experience which includes the top-notch food and amazing staff. It’s definitely worth a visit!

The food is okay, till I saw the Kitchen Chef. Go outside to smoke after every order, his finger dark brown of the nicotine..........yak The waitress was very attended and friendly. Also a lot of vegetarian food.

Quirky little place split into two areas – a lively bar/restaurant at the front and a quieter back room. We hadn't booked but managed to get a table, albeit facing a wall next to an unused meat grinder, which felt a little odd. The service was friendly, and the menu offered a wide selection of dishes – not all traditional Spanish, which was a refreshing change. The food itself was surprisingly good – well presented and full of flavour. However, the decor feels tired and in need of a refresh – a lick of paint would go a long way. The biggest letdown was the washrooms, which were quite unpleasant and clearly not well maintained – always a telling sign for any restaurant. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, just not one I'd personally return for.

I can't give less than 1 star. Terrible experience, a busy lunchtime and one young man serving. The menu is on a chalkboard. The small tables slope. We watched 9 ladies cramped up on 2 small tables, there was hardly room for the drinks never mind food. You can't make any changes so for example an steak comes with rosemary chips, no choice of vegetables or even a simple salad. We ordered 2, just one arrived. The meat was very tough. The plates we cracked, chipped and crazed, not very hygienic. The prices are high, we could have gone to a place with tablecloths and had a 3 course menu for less money. We used to tell our friends about this place as it used to be good. No more.
Glenys G — Google review
Absolutely stunning food! I was worried due to the amount of variety on the menu (jack of all trades, master of none kinds of thing) but I was so wrong, every dish was amazing. Nothing had that premade or frozen look, everything was Fresh. Highly Highly recommend!

Fabulous service and great food.I am a solo traveller/ ex-restaurateur and this town is my favorite for many reasons. I found a new one in my lunch experience at La Sucreria. On a very busy festival day, I was seated promptly, and then helped with my menu choices by breathless, yet efficient wait staff. The food arrived promptly, and was a deliciously different, which I love. The waitress was running, but she stayed cool under pressure and knew her menu well. Well done kitchen and service. Thanks and I'll be back!

The food here is some of the most inventive I’ve seen anywhere, and the value for money is exceptional. It can get busy and the staff sometimes struggle but it’s all done with a smile. Well done!

Chola Gastro Xàbia, also known as Chola Cacao, is a cafe run by the Gavilanez sisters that offers all-day food with a focus on breakfast and brunch. The restaurant's concept blends their Latin roots with their wanderlust spirit, using the best local ingredients to create dishes like red tuna causa, which has become popular along the Costa Blanca. The indoor patio is surrounded by tropical trees that provide passion fruit for ceviches and cocktails.
The place that offered us one of the best meal during our latest visit to Spain. Traditional design location, is suited for both small and large groups, the food it’s just amazing, you will be surprised by the amazing flavours dish after dish. We didn’t even checked the menu, but asked for recommendations and we were not disappointed at all. The Cocktails were delicious as well, and the wine collection offered many choices

One of our favorites in Jávea! Delicious food from Latin American to Asian at Chola Gastrobar. We love the Korean Nem, the bao buns, the Tuétano with tuna, the Ceviche and the yuca with guacamole; all so good! The friendly service and the good wines complete the experience!

This place is fantastic. The owner is also very kind. If you want to try something just tell him what you don’t eat and ask him to surprise you. Total bill 53€ including 2 glasses of white wine. This place is honestly a must try in old Xàbia.

Best hidden gem restaurant and best find of 2022. What an incredible restaurant, it deserves a Michelin star. A temple of deliciousness. We went through every item on the menu and couldn’t find a single flaw. A must visit.

Food was excellent value, both taste & value. Had to minus one star though for the weird system they had, as our group wanted to have one main course each (as we assumed these weren't sharing dishes), they were brought in one by one so we weren't able to eat on the same time. Other than that it was a lovely experience and will definitely return.

Unique restaurant in Javea old town. Need to make a reservation. Really enjoyed the experience and food. Nice atmosphere and Miguel is very friendly. Highly recommend for a good night out. Found the beef cheek dish outstanding. Music Great.. visited once again and the atmosphere and service was enjoyable. Menu is varied and food to satisfy all.

A truly unique gem with its own special charm, nestled in the heart of Jávea’s Old Town. This cozy little spot immediately welcomes you with a warm, inviting atmosphere steeped in history. Miguel, the owner, is a remarkable host—passionate about food and dedicated to creating a memorable experience for every guest. There’s no printed menu here. Instead, Miguel arrives at your table with his blackboard, enthusiastically explaining the evening’s offerings. His multilingual charm puts everyone at ease, making you feel like a guest in his home. The dishes change daily, depending on the freshest local ingredients sourced from the market. Expect an array of delicious starters, mains, and desserts, all crafted with authenticity and care. The wine list is equally impressive and reasonably priced. The quality, flavor, and presentation of the food are truly something to remember—each dish bursting with freshness and character. As the evening unfolds, the atmosphere becomes magical. At one point, Miguel may even start singing, and soon, the whole restaurant joins in. It’s a moment of pure joy, with an infectious energy that stays with you long after. Getting a table can be tricky, as the place is often fully booked—but trust me, this is a must-visit if you’re coming to Jávea. Miguel, thank you for yet another unforgettable evening.

A gem of a restaurant. Great food with excellent service. I think the menu changes regularly due to local ingredients, which only adds to the experience. Portion sizes are generous but ask the waiter for advice. You can always add another course later. The house wine was good value.

I opted for the classic burger accompanied by a side of fries. The burger was cooked to perfection, featuring a juicy patty nestled between fresh, toasted buns, and topped with crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and a flavorful sauce. The fries were golden and crispy, complementing the burger wonderfully.

The views are great, with the sea in front of you while you are having a tea. That's great. Unfortunately, it's the only thing. I have been going there for the last few years, every 6 months, and the place is downgrading in every single aspect. Even the views, as now they have had the glass broken for at least 2 weeks. The food is NOT worth it. We ordered the Smoothie smile breakfast, where there is a smoothie included, but it's 100 ml., which is less than half of a regular cup, basically a shot. We were extremely disappointed with it. Also, the service was not very professional, having his attention to his mobile phone rather than serving the tables. I had to go twice to him to ask him things. Also, they tried to overcharge us with a tea, that according to the waiter was not included in the breakfast. It was good in the past, but they have taken a terrible road. Hopefully when I get back in 5 months it won't be a 2 stars.

Beach front, clean and nicely decorated restaurant. Chairs are comfy to sit. Pet friendly. They have big menu but when we there many things are not available. The food we got was OK. But the begal bread is clearly old. I don't know it it still not summer when traffic is higher. But it could do better. The staff are not that attentive. But only one person is working as well. So i don't know. Service in general is slow. I don't kind since we just chilling and sit by the beach. We might give it another try in summer.
Maythavee D — Google review
So disappointed, we stopped here for a drink on our holiday (with 2 locals) the service was dire, there were only 6 people in. It took a good 15 minutes for service, and even then he was taken back to be asked for a g&t....it took a further 15 minutes for 4 drinks to arrive. At this point we asked for pan y Ali oli for 3 people. Which took another 15 minutes to arrive. The bread was warm which was nice but we were given 2 very small pots of Ali oli which tasted just like the one bought in shops. But it was essentially 6€30 for 3 bread rolls and (approx) 50ml pots of Ali oli. When we went to pay the bill 2 members were on the settee one just lying there on his phone, in fact both were on their phones. It was expensive, the cocktails were not very good at all and small for the price. 9€ on average for a whisky tumbler size tequila sunrise... The only reason we stayed and waited was because my father in law has limited mobility and it took a bit of effort for him to get up and seated. In fact a customer helped us, not the staff to get him and seated says it all.... Clearly younger staff are cheaper to employ maybe but they also had no idea it seemed!! Such a shame, there's a lot that needs to be rectified!!

Awful. Awful. Awful. Normally love their pizzas. Last weekend ordered pizzas and they were so different and so bad. The cheese was orange coloured, sticky, horrible. Weird like they’d switched mozzarella for Red Leicester or Stilton or some weird combo. I phoned them, they told me they’d run out of the normal cheese until Monday and they were sorry! I get these things happen but they’d swapped in an awful cheese and then refused to refund or change them. We left the pizzas. Totally inedible. They refused a refund or replacement. Check their reviews on just eat. 1.8 out of 5! We’ve returned the pizzas. I took them the next day to show we hadn’t eaten them. They’ve offered a 30% discount on our next order after days of arguing. I won’t be going there ever again.

Completely empty and now we know why. The only decent thing about the meal was the drinks, and they were out of a can. If you order anything chicken expect it thinner then wafer thin. Generally an awful experience even the birds didn't eat the chicken. Definitely not coming back

Went here twice today approx 1100hrs then 1330hrish. Relaxed atmosphere, I didn’t eat but the food looked good. Comfy seating. Great position on the seafront over looking the beach. Prices are very good. I paid €6.60 for a pint and a Fanta orange. Nice comfy pink couch in elevated position looking out past the beach to the Mrs. Rachel was friendly and welcoming and cleaned the table down and we sat, she took my order. Second time today went back because I enjoyed it there. My wife’s joined me a little latter, Service was slooooww I think maybe the lunch rush got there before the staff. Alejandro was a little flustered when he arrived and was straight into the thick of it. A few grumbles from surrounding customers about service and either having to go to bar to order or pay the bill. Would I go again Yes. Would I recommend of course yes. Great place to go. Had chat with manager on a chat app on the website and let him know about service then service picked up.

El Convent is an absolute culinary gem! I had the best octopus I’ve ever tasted – perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. The Patatas Bravas were crispy and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice, and the bread with aioli was a simple yet delicious addition. Pairing everything with a cold beer and a glass of wine made the meal even more enjoyable. The flavors were outstanding, and every bite was a delight. Very nice food, just unfortunate that when we ordered coffee, as it was so strong I asked for extra milk and my daughter asked for ice to change it to a cold coffee. Having spent almost 140€ on dinner, they felt it acceptable to charge 30c for the milk and 30c fo the ice! Very sad they felt the need to do this.

Been in spain 2 years. This has to be the worse meal we've ever had. When we mentioned to the owner we didnt like he seemed very offended. Apple in the salad was mouldy, eggs uncooked in another meal, kids burgers uncooked and not what was ordered althought they then replaced with an uncooked burger that we originally ordered. Battered veg was the size of your nail. Expensive and so so poor. Will not be back.

Food is “meh”. I booked a table here, attracted by the high rating but I must say that I was pretty dissatisfied with the quality of the food. I may have chosen the wrong things but what we tried was really not good. We started with the plantain/ banana, which was actually really good, so we were enthusiastic at what was coming but not. I ordered the salmon and my husband the chicken with peanut sauce (“kip saté) but both were really tasteless, and the fries of his dish looked old and greasy. The personnel was however very kind. Based on the food and having so many other options to eat, I do not recommend the food of this place

AVOID!!!!! First visit perfect, great service and honest pricing at Happy Hour. Second visit, service fine but when the bill arrived we were ripped off by the older guy in glasses on the smoking animal head kids cocktails. They scammed my family €15 per drink when the previous visit the same juice was only €6 each. We questioned this but totally dismissed by the guy in glasses. I would avoid at all costs as they clearly have an agenda to rip of tourists in here!! Avoid

Decor was tasteful and elegant in a great spot along the busy promenade. Service was quick and friendly. Sushi was fresh and steaks were fairly cheap but of great quality! One thing I would just say is that the wagyu is a great price but does not come with anything and it’s maybe not the cut you would expect , it comes in thin strips to be cooked on a hot stone. We discovered this place while staying on a campsite around the corner we were very happy to have the breakfast that they served there it was good quality and value for money if we ever return to this area we surely will return for a fantastic breakfast.

Gurkha Palace is a highly recommended restaurant in Xabia, known for its extremely tasty and fiery dishes. The staff is friendly and accommodating, offering a wide range of delicious options for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The food is cooked to perfection at reasonable prices, with excellent service and a great atmosphere. Whether dining in or opting for takeout, visitors are sure to enjoy the experience at Gurkha Palace.
The best Indian I've had so far. Excellent service and delicious food, cannot recommend it enough. Friendly staff, and great atmosphere. Can eat inside or out. It is #2 on places to eat in this area on trip adviser, but should be #1. A must visit.

Great range of food, all cooked perfectly and the prices are very reasonable. Very helpful staff speaking excellent English and Spanish. Our second visit was for a takeaway which was also very good and last night we didn't want to cook, so went again. We are now greeted as friends and will go back.

The staff was so friendly and the food was so delicious! By far the best food I've ever had. Great thanks to all the staff! We were with six people including two vegetarians. There were so many dishes for them. Also very delicious. If you are in Xabia you must have had dinner here. I've been in like 15 restaurants in xabia and this restaurant is by far the best.

Have just had another wonderful meal from the best Indian-Nepali Restaurant in javea The staff are the most welcoming and friendly I have come across, and go that extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful night. The meals are great value, great tasting, freshness, reasonable price, well presented and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I found that the restaurant had moved to a new location and I had to go there as I had been going to this place for years. They have amazing and friendly staff. The food there is really good.
Bivek C — Google review
This place is often recommended so we gave it a visit. My main comment is the service was painfully slow and inattentive it was very difficult to get the waiters attention and in total there were 12 people in the restaurant. The food was mediocre.
Lisa S — Google review
We visited after seeing reviews on Trip Adviser. Gurkha Palace lived up to its excellent reputation and we had a fantastic evening out. We are both vegetarian and can struggle in Spain to find suitable food when eating out. This restaurant is definitely not a vegetarian restaurant but it has a varied range of veggie food and non-veg options. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

My go-to spot in Jávea. Peaceful and relaxing in low season, vibrant and lively in summer. Stylish design, friendly service, and a great mix of tapas — from pizza to fresh, healthy salads. Stunning sea view. I always love coming back.

Loved this restaurant/bar! Food was great, service, views right on the Mediterranean is unbelievable. 30 min walk from L’Arenal beach, 10 minute walk from port area.

La siesta could be a top Ibiza style location in Javea; with its amazing decore, 2 large bars, different dinning and lounge areas overlooking the Mediterranean sea. We went for dinner and waited to get acknowledge for at least 15minutes. They weren’t even full. Super slow service but at least friendly. The food tasted good and so did the drinks. Still a place to stop by while in Javea.
Alexa's W — Google review
Very beautiful place on the sea. Nice breakfast but not many options and looks very minimal. The waitress's service was the worst. She made faces that she didn't feel like working. This is the only place with service that doesn't suit the area.
Ari A — Google review
I’ve been there 2 times, first time both food and drinks (beer) were delicious but second time food was much worse than before, we asked for medium well steak and we received medium. Also Patatas bravas had different sauce than the first time we were there. I don’t know if the cook was different or something went wrong but we are sure that next time we’ll get only beers there.

Absolutely amazing meal had again at Sofia’s restaurant, with fantastic food, drinks, ambience and service from their warmly welcoming team. Absolutely loved this family run business. The food was superb, full of flavour and perfectly cooked. All of the staff were incredibly welcoming. I had the hummus and wings to start, both were perfect, sauce with the wings was exceptional. For the main course I had the steak which was cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. Please if you are in the area, visit this restaurant, you will not be disappointed. We will most definitely be back. Well done to all of you.

Unbelievably welcoming hospitality, the front of house is so lovely and friendly. The food was nothing short of phenomenal. We had the Thai green curry, liver and duck and all were ten out of ten. In summary the food, service and ambience were simply top notch, highly recommend.

Wow what a fabulous meal & dining experience we had here. The restaurant is a credit to the owners. Superb staff, friendly & welcoming & food to die for. I had mussels in a ginger & coconut broth followed by sublime duck breast & then , oh wow, the best chocolate mousse I’ve ever eaten topped with homemade honeycomb to finish. Every mouthful was excellent. We will have no hesitation in returning here, can’t wait. You’ve got it totally spot on. Keep up the good work guys 👏

This was the second time visiting the restaurant, and I have to say, it was fantastic yet again. This time they had a vegan tasting menu, and the food was top quality from very first bite to the last one, especially the sweet potato cakes were to die for. The vegan wine recommended by the waiter was excellent as well, and complimented the dishes nicely. Service was very attentive and quick, and all in all it was a great dining experience, and everyone from our group of friends enjoyed it. Would recommend Sofia's to everyone - the vegans as well. Will definitely be back soon!
Jemina P — Google review
We've been going for maybe 10 years now, periodically, and the food remains tasty, with excellent friendly service and really very nicely made cocktails at reasonable prices. It's not easy to make a balanced and pleasant martini, but Laura certainly can. Atmosphere is just right, with a good selection of music to just occasionally tap your feet to. All the things cooked nicely as they should be - such as the liver, and a very pleasant evening had by all !
S T — Google review
This is simply one of the best restaurants left in the world. Owner operated, with such attention to detail and flavour, it is simply a rare experience to have a restaurant like this, in this day and age. Proper thoroughbred hospitality from Sharon, Drew (and Maya) makes the entire dining experience incredible. As a vegan family, what we celebrate each and every time we visit Sofia’s is a proper approach to making and enjoying fantastic food, with world class ingredients. Drew is totally on top of his game, and is a shining example of culinary genius. Real food, no unnecessary fluff. Flavour - flavour - flavour, and timeless presentation. To put it simply: gastronomically, he cares. I’m going to be honest here: we purchased a home in Xábia, and a component of that decision was based on our “Sofia’s experience” - and that’s not an exaggeration!
Kiran H — Google review
We have now been to this wonderful restaurant about 5 times and in our opinion it’s the finest cooking in the Xabia/Denia area. The salad dressing alone has been the subject of many pleasant recollections but the minty chocolate Brûlée, my word! This place is for those who value high quality cooking above all else……..go and enjoy

Best food I had in Javea! And I tried a lot. Service was also very nice and polite. Definitively a strong recommendation!

We came across this restaurant on a visit to Javea port. A lovely location right by the sea - we ate outside and our table directly overlooked the sea, and there were great views to the Montgó. Service was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our menú del día lunch - the food was tasty, plentiful and great value for money. We don't hesitate to recommend and will visit again.

Heading for a different place when I saw the Calima restaurant menu. Only wanted a tapas style meal. Ended up having a lovely Thai style samosa with yellow curry sauce "tapas," Then a superb mango cheesecake with red fruit sauce and a carajilo . Friendly service, excellent presentation, all the other food served to other tables looked superb. Stunning seafront location Only closes for a short time in January. Limited number of tables in and out. Booking recommended. I will be back soon.
Paul T — Google review
We came due to the great ratings. We were disappointed, we ordered a paella for 2 and carpaccio, to finish we had cheesecake. The dessert dis not have a cheesecake taste, the bottom layer was moist and not crispy at all. The paella was ok but I would recommend adding duck instead of pork, the pork brings down the quality of the dish. I didn’t feel it very tasty, not sure if they used water as opposed to stock to cook the rice through. The carpaccio was good and the product quality too.

Everything about this restaurant is amazing. The food! We had dorada, chicken skewers and a hamburger then ice cream and brownies. We phoned ahead (speaking spanish but I'm sure their english is excellent) otherwise you would have to visit in person at least a day before. Beautiful view of the sea and staff were so delightful. Can't wait to come back. This is exactly how a restaurant should be run! Brilliant

Calima is a marvel of a restaurant. The cuisine has an international touch without losing the regional identity. Frequented by locals and foreigners alike their quality and service resonates well. The Chef is an artist from the Basque region, the team super motivated and friendly, the menu has a wide choice of amazing offers. Best of all: Calima´s pricing is absolutely fair. Calima is right by the sea in the port area of Javea - fantastic location. We like it since a decade and have never been disappointed.

I was sitting there 15 minutes waiting just for the menu. The waitress brought menu to the table next to me that came later. They were chatting in eastern european language and laughing a lot for a few minutes. After she took the orders, she went away. Not even noticing me although I was sitting maybe 40cm from her. The same thing happend again, the other waitress brought menu to the new guests that have just arrived. The stuff does not pay attention at all, I had a feeling they prefer to serve to the tables that have more people maybe hoping for higher tips. The cafe was not full at all.
K T — Google review
Always good service at this place and good coffee. It's a little hot sitting under the toldos and the fans were not switched on so we didnt stay long. I cant give it a 5 star because the coffee cups are tiny the coffee moderately hot and it's quite expensive compared to other places especially considering it is on the road with just cars and fumes. It's not one of our favourites. As a postscript, we re visited this place for a coffee and a brandy. We waited a long time to be served on this occasion. We ordered one special coffee with rum and a coffee with milk and a brandy on the side. It took far too long bur it didn't really bother us. Then the coffees arrived but no brandy. We waited a little lo get then caught the eye of the waitress thst had taken our order and mentioned it. She definitely had attitude and snapped back with a very abrasive..yes!.. We waited a long time and the coffee which was not hot to begin with had be drunk as had the other special coffee. By this time we were disappointed both because they hadn't brought what we had ordered but also because of the attitude directed to us when we politely asked for the brandy. Unfortunately we had to leave so I went in to pay the bill. They tried to charge me for the brandy and said it had been put in the tiny cold coffee which we certainly would have known. It definitely had not and it had been acknowledged already by the waitress that it had not been delivered. All in all not a positive experience.

Jos V — Google review
Nice place for dinner at the heart of Javea. Good service, we came without reservation and were able to get a table. The tapas are good, I liked the combination of flavours and they are a bit different from what you find elsewhere. A couple of suggestions to enhance the great base they have in the dishes: the melon with duck, please add more duck, 1 piece does mot do the trick as the flavour of the melon is very strong. On the aubergine with cheese, I would suggest to add a stronger cheese like blue cheese to make a better contrast of flavours (if this is the case, maybe put more ratio) also add more salt, it was a bit blend in my opinion and yes…we asked for salt. The sardines were tasty! Same here, add more figs! I loved the fact that you can choose your favourite bread and the aliolis/butter selection was delicious! Great experience overall, just a few tweaks to make it even better!

We really enjoyed the food, but the service from Victoria and Angela was what made this restaurant better than many others in the area. We had our 94 year old grandmother with us and they spoke to her, spoke slowly and clearly and kept asking that she, as well as the rest of us, were ok. Many other restaurants ignore her but they were very caring and attentive. Food was delicious. We had bread, melon & jamon, aubergine, octopus & pancetta, patatas bravas and oxtail croquettes. Sadly we had started eating before I remembered to take photos! We also drank the house rosé from Teulada which was delicious. Thank you Victoria and Angela

The Salad was great: 4/5 Octopus: 4/5 Cod tempurized: 4/5 Teriyaki chicken: 3/5 Sea bream: 3/5 The bathrooms were really clean. The worst thing was the heat, we asked for turning it cooler but they did not.

La Cantina de Jávea, also known as La Lonja, is a popular spot located right in the port with direct access to the daily fish auction. Their menu boasts an impressive selection of fresh local seafood including red prawns, baby squid, wedge clams, sea urchin, octopus and various fresh local fish. Very fresh seafood! The squid and fish are to die for. The service can be a bit slow and there are always a few flies around, but overall it’s a very pleasant experience right by the sea.
Joseph C — Google review
We were served stale fish that was not suitable for human consumption (smelled like rubbish). It was by far the worst meal I ever had. It's not even a cheap place price-wise but definitely cheap in every other regard. The place overall has a problem with hygiene and service. I wouldn't even come near this place again.
Reggaeton R — Google review
We advised to try La Cantina de Javea by the air conditioning engineer. He said they purchase the fish from the market 100 years away. He advised us to book, as it was popular with the locals. We tried and tried. We drove over to it a three times, once mid afternoon once late afternoon and the other at 19:25 and waited around for quarter of an hour. There was no one at the premises. I tried the number listed on Google over a three days at differing times morning, evening and night time. Even at 20:45 and 22:00 there was no answer. There are no contact details listed on the restaurant. There is a clip board with several names written on a sheet of paper, whether this is how you are supposed to book was not really clear. I can only conclude that during the 20st July to the 4th August the restaurant is closed. Maybe some one who knows how to make a reservation and what time the restaurant opens can please share the information via a review.

Pathetic pathetic fraud…first I would start we ordered 6 main items off the regular menus and day catch. There were four people in my party. ONLY ONE item we ordered of the six looked fresh and caught from the Med as they claim, rest looked frozen. Not only prices are inflated compared to similar restaurants it did not taste that well. When the bill came, every item, drink and food at least one extra was fraudulent added. It was 20-25% more then it should have. Be careful and vigilant when reviewing your bill. Conclusion…overpriced, fraud, not that fresh or tasty. WILL DEFINITELY NOT RE-VISIT.

The best restaurant for fresh fish as they have their own gishing boat.It is a lovely setting on the dock by the fishing boats
Richard M — Google review
Lovely place at first sight...between docks and fishing boats. Before we went, I also read new opinions and it seemed that we would eat very well... fresh and good. ...The experience was different....The only fresh dishes that are tasty are the cache of the day...a little bit peppery for the price for the quantity it offers....otherwise everything (tapas)... ..from frozen....The oil is unchanged and this can be seen by the way everything that is fried looks (brown instead of golden)...And not to mention the famous PATATAS BRAVAS....which in their conception are french fries with sauce...Ridiculous....However, they are lucky to fool many tourists who don't know....The locals would not accept such food and quality...at their prices...once again RIDICULOUS. ...And to finish....be careful what is put on your bill...the tendency of waiters to round up their tip even more...is to put more than you have consumed....Check ok and great attention....I was fooled once....the second one won't happen again...All the best

The hotel has a very interesting, art deco building. The staff are friendly and the food and service were good. The problem is that we did not sleep well. In the winter the hotel turns off the air conditioning and will not provide an electric fan. The room was quite hot and so we had to keep the balcony door open. This meant we were disturbed well into early hours of the morning by noise from people using the nearby bars and restaurants. It is a pity the hotel could not provide a fan.
Martin S — Google review
Excellent location and views, however the whole place felt a little dated and old. The reception were friendly when checking in, but they didn't have the room we booked (double bed), so we had 2 singles pushed together. Location and gardens were really lovely and the breakfast was very nice, however limited to buffet style. Room was clean but again felt old. Clientele also were on the older side, had the atmosphere of a retirement home. (Not a bad thing as we like the quiet), but if you are looking for something with a bit of life it's not for you. Overall, OK for a single night's stay.

Dreadful. Supposed to be a Parador but just a basic 4 star hotel which gave my husband food poisoning! 1200 euros wasted! 3 days half board and couldn't use what we had paid for and then they had the cheek to charge another 201 euros for extras!! Never again!

Breakfast buffet is now really basic Used to be a fab experience even if not staying. Now an omellete and some pastry and sliced cheese. Very sad.
Daviesjen — Google review
I am a bit disappointed of this hotel especially because of the price they charge considering what the offer and the fact that it says it is a four star hotel. Rooms are a bit old, better cleaning of the bathroom is needed (see picture) hairs on the wall. Looks like there was a flood at some point and you can see the water damage (pic) and the toilet seat is scratched and it gives you the impression that is dirty (pic). And during our stay there was a wedding and we could hear the noise of the party until after 2:00 AM. The next day my husband and I were talking between us very late in the night more like in the morning hours (no music, no extra noise, no drinking, just us, sharing our happy moments of that evening and someone complained that we were being too noisy which just really got to me as we were just having a conversation inside our room. I am really sorry that I didn’t let someone sleep. I never imagined that my conversation at night would keep someone from sleeping. They need to improve the isolation between rooms. Staff was friendly and nice, breakfast is good and location excellent. If they charged less and reduced the stars then I would probably recommend this place but not at its current rating and prices.

Ca Aleix is a remarkable restaurant that offers top-notch cuisine at reasonable prices. The food is of exceptional quality and served in generous portions. Dining outdoors late at night provides a delightful experience, enhanced by the attentive and accommodating staff who are always ready to assist, especially for those still learning Spanish. A complete meal consisting of appetizers, main course, dessert, and ample drinks for three people comes to a very affordable total of 120 units.
The food is great! I got the eggplant, my husband - entrecot. Both delicious! Inside the AC makes it perfect for summer lunch! The decor and the atmosphere are very designer!

Every time we dine here, it's a celebration! The quality is always high, the flavors are refined, and the menu is wonderfully varied. Prices are absolutely reasonable, especially considering the level of what’s served. The service is fast, warm, professional, and attentive. Even the bread with spreads stands out — so well made, it easily surpasses what you get at other restaurants. In short: a true gem 🫶🏻 Definitely go, order the delicious pulpo with truffle purée, take the bread, and enjoy the wine selection. We will be coming back, can’t wait for the next time!

Excellent food, amazing service, creative menu. It's not the cheapest but it's totally worth it. Each dish is beautifully presented, showing great attention to detail. The staff is attentive, friendly and always ready to recommend the best options. The atmosphere is cozy and modern, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special or a memorable meal. Definitely a place I would come back to!
Josep Q — Google review
Excellent food, quality and quantity was right on and reasonable priced. Dining late at night sitting out side was a good experience with attentive and helpful staff to over come our poor Spanish (still learning). Meal was starter, main and dessert with plenty of drinks for 3 came to a total of €120. The whale sculpture can be seen from the road with plenty of parking space in front of the sculpture gardens. Will visit again. Returned a week later the food and service was as excellent as the first time, this time remembered to take photos of the food. The rustic bread was sort and fresh with olive oil coating on top very nice. Starters very taste full of flavour Steak was excellent good cut of meat and cooked perfectly.

I've been coming here for 2 years now. Always superb. Ravioli frito de yema con jamón ibérico and the zamburiñas are exquisite. Rice dishes and rib eye chuletón cooked to perfection. A wine list worth exploring. And really first rate attention by the maître d and staff. Gracias Alejandro.
Kieran D — Google review
We've dined here several times and always refer to it as the "Whale Restaurant" due to the huge whale sculpture outside. The setting is beautiful and it's lovey to sit outside in their garden. Staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. It's clear they really care about what they do. Paella is highly recommended

One of our favourite restaurants in Javea. Authentic Spanish cuisine and the paella is just the best. Mainly a Spanish clientele which we enjoy.

A fantastic way to spend a couple of hours over lunch, great atmosphere and very good food. Rice dishes appear to be very popular here (paella and risotto), I think you may have to pre order these but check!

Restaurante Chino Montana de Oro is a long-standing family-owned establishment located on Javea's popular Arenal Beach. This Chinese restaurant offers a variety of meal platter sets and individual dishes, featuring generous portions of traditional-style cuisine. The spacious interiors cater to large groups, while outdoor seating allows patrons to dine with beach views. Known for its delicious food, affordable prices attract customers from northern Europe seeking budget-friendly options.
Been coming here for years and I cant recommend this place enough, amazing value with delicious, fresh food every single time. These guys deserve more recognition. 5/5
Esteban B — Google review
Best Chinese food. It took me back to my childhood as all the food is freshly cooked not microwaved. The staff were extremely polite and the restaurant spotlessly clean. Could not recommend more highly.
Elizabeth S — Google review
The good: Friendly staff, good service, very reasonable prices. The bad: The food, sadly. The SMALLEST spring rolls I have seen in my life! You need a microscope. All outer and practically no inner. The Tofu was supposed to include vegetables, but again, you had to look hard. A few pieces of mushroom and pepper, but they were well hidden. The tofu is the soft, silken variety in sauce. Very little flavour. Overall, disappointing. Very little choice for vegetarians or vegans. Too much salt content, too. Would not bother going again.
Andy H — Google review
Good value for money and nicely cooked , good portions and Meat . I had Sweet & Sour pork. A dish I remember from many years ago, I was only a little disappointed in the " blandish" taste of the sauce that accompanied that dish. Recommend to go to this good value restaurant .🤩👍

We hadn’t booked anywhere this evening and after trying a few places this was the only one that had space. We had Tequenos which were ok but were served with guacamole that was overwhelmed by the taste of onion. Patatas bravas were unlike any i have had before , more like potatoes in a sweet baked bean style tomato coating and served with aioli, unfortunately the Aioli tasted like it was made with old garlic , and did not taste nice and left a bad aftertaste. We also had padron peppers , these had been deep fried and were over cooked , soggy and just tasted of oil and for some reason were served with nacho chips. We really didn’t enjoy the food but this place does have other good reviews so perhaps we just had a really bad experience. On the plus side the beer was good although they only serve bottles not draught , and you can’t really go wrong with bottled beer. it’s not expensive and the portions size was large The location is nice but staff were not particularly friendly and we wouldn’t rush back Star rating amended as I may have been overly harsh initially

I dont know how these people got this job, pizza is disgusting. Ordered 10 pizza’s, they all tasted like they were out of the freezer without baking. Would not recommend anyone, only if you like puking.
Sietse B — Google review
The breakfast was lovely, but the lady serving us was not the friendliest of people I ever come across. Rolling eyes when I tried to explain what we wanted to order... Now I get it, I don't speak Spanish, but nevertheless I tried to explain in Spanish what we wanted... very slowly, possibly not all correct, but she just wouldn't try to help at all. So generally for me not the greatest of attitudes but breakfast was very good.
Victoria G — Google review
After 2,5 hours we have finally got our pizza’s. What a shame because our pizzas were less cooked than the boxes they came in…. Unfortunately we have to give 1 star, they don’t even deserve that, the food was crap.

Chinese restaurant
Bien Venido is a spacious Chinese restaurant that caters to families and large groups. The extensive menu offers over 80 original Chinese-style dishes, served in generous portions. Patrons can choose from either the ala carte menu or enjoy the buffet, which includes the restaurant's signature dishes. The food is excellent with a wide variety of choices, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Despite its size, the authentic decor creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere for couples or groups.
I have been coming here for 15 years now and Amy, the owner, is so warm it feels like family. It's always nice to be back! Considering the location, the price is very reasonable for the huge portions they give you. Unfortunately, her food is often misjudged due to stereotypes of Chinese food having MSG. Her restaurant gets especially busy during the evenings as many local Spanish like to takeaway. The Menu of the day consists of a soup/spring roll for starters, an AMAZING and generous main dish (I recommend Peking Duck, Chicken w/ vegetables, Chicken w/ almonds, Happy family sizzling: a little bit of everything) which comes with a side of fried rice/noodles or boiled rice, and finally a dessert (often ice cream or Chinese tea if you don't have a sweet tooth). The quality consistency of all the food always meets a high standard every time I come. There are very few occasions where Amy and her husband (who is the chef) are off and there is a temporary chef - if the food doesn't taste as good as usual, then this is probably why! I honestly think this is one of the best Chinese restaurants anyone could ever go to in Spain, and is definitely worth a try :)

Visited when visiting family in Spain. Unfortunately had a really bad experience when we visited. The pool didn’t seem very clean but the worst part was that I ordered a dish that listed only vegetarian ingredients however when it arrived it had meat in it. As a vegetarian I should have asked just to be sure and they did agree to make me a new dish but one of the staff members said something very rude about me in Spanish not realising my brother who I was with is fluent in spanish. She was told to be quiet by another member of staff who knew my brother could understand her. Really wasn’t a pleasant experience and i felt very uncomfortable after that.
Caitlin T — Google review
Not an impressive place, just like a large tent. Snack food obviously precooked, chicken raw on the bone, plates cold. Drinks - ran out of draught beer and coca cola. Charged 3 euro for a very small bottle of coke. A definite rip off.
John R — Google review
Lovely large outdoor bar restaurant with a pool. Attached to go carting so you could have a nice day out here. We only had a drink but will be back to drive the go carts. The drinks were slightly more than going to a typical Spanish bar but was worth it. Views are lovely surrounded by mountains. Was clean and staff were friendly.

XO Restaurante Xabia is a unique restaurant combining the Mediterranean, Asian and American cuisine. Chef and owner Kristian Greenwell worked in several Michelin starred restaurants in the United Kingdom, using multiple cooking techniques and creating balanced flavors. There is a gastronomic menu every week with seven courses for an affordable price, as well as a 2 or 3 course menu for lunch.
Relatively new restaurant in Jávea (old town). We had such a good time here. The menu immediately sounded appealing and although there were some last minute changes, for instance sea bream instead of mackerel, which wasn't delivered (which in our eyes only means they serve fresh fish which is good) it was very good and delicious food! We had a great time with good food and good wine and very attentive service from a nice server. Will definitely recommend it and/or come back!

Old Town New Restaurant We reserved a table of 6 adults and 4 children, we absolutely loved the service, (Alex) WAS AMAZING!!! Christian the chef and owner works wonders in this small Restaurant. The menu is maybe not suited for children but the kitchen made it fun for them to. The wine list is very carefully constructed by the Chefs wife and the restaurant suppliers. This is a must visit.

Apologies for a very late review, we dined here in february for the valentines menu..... Seriously good, we have recently returned with friends and this place just gets better and better.... the only negative i have is the location. But it is worth the journey. The tuna tartare I could eat every meal of the day, it was sublime. The restaurant is a fairly busy during the week, but the weekend was very busy.. Reserving recommended.

We had a belated Valentine's meal last night at XO, and I now have a new favourite for the special occasions! The best fine dining experience in Javea . Dishes are creative and elegant. Alex, front of house is superb , attentive and informative . Kris in the kitchen clearly cooks with passion and this is more than evident in the fantastic plates of food that he produces. They have managed to couple an informal atmosphere with food of the highest quality . If you haven't been go.
Nick J — Google review
A quality dining experience in Javea's picturesque old town. My partner and I visited last week for dinner and we both had the tasting menu. At 70 euros excluding wine, it is towards the upper price range of restaurants in the area, but for the standard of the food, that represents good value and we were not disappointed. The wine list is very keenly priced - we shared an excellent white at under 20 euros for the bottle. The tasting menu had 7 or 8 courses which showcased the chef's considerable talents. The tortellini in miso and the pea risotto with puffed rice were the standouts for us, but every dish was of extremely high quality and accomplished without being overly fussy or cheffy, which is exactly what we like. It's frankly unbelievable that it's just one person in the kitchen producing it all! While Javea generally has a wide selection of good restaurants, it perhaps lacks a little bit of culinary diversity, so we were delighted to find somewhere doing modern takes on a range of pan-European and Asian cuisines as well as this. Xo represents something different than most of the other offerings in the area and is a must to anyone looking for a fine dining experience in Javea. Highly recommended.

One of the best restaurants in Europe. The staff is number one and the food is transcendent. This is a new restaurant so the price point is a complete steal. Go before they inevitably raise to price to something around what they deserve. 10/5 stars
