It is a beatiful place and beach. It is a small beach, but you cand find a spor for your towel. The water is cristal clear in more than 12 meters, you can do snorkeling, cayaking, SUP and other. You have shops ans cafeterias near the beach, it is a family and baby friendly beach. You need to wear water shoes because there are some stones.

Cala del Portet is such a charming sandy beach, small, cozy, and absolutely beautiful. From the soft sand to the calm turquoise water, it’s just a few steps and you’re swimming in paradise. I went with my very special best friend from Argentina, and after beach-hopping around a couple of spots, this one instantly became our favorite. We got the perfect beachy tan, enjoyed some sweet and salty snacks, and later shared a jar of sangria at a classic Spanish chiringuito, with patatas bravas and fried calamari on the side. The views, the vibe, and the color of the sea made it an unforgettable day, pure Mediterranean magic.

Lovely bay at one end of Moraira. Great for swimming and water sports. Lovely cafes on the front with beautiful view of the bay.

Crowded! Hard to park your car, be there early, or you'll need to pay for your car parking. Nice beach for snorkeling or stand paddle!

Good varied market. Fruit, vegetables, cakes, nuts, flowers and clothing plus much more. Lots of stalls to buy from though marked down 1 star as unfortunately because I touched a bag to see if it was leather the seller assumed I wanted to buy it and when said no thank you he seemed to get a bit agitated and began mimicking me “thank you, thank you, thank you” as I walked away. Saying that he was one of many traders and was the only one I came across who I found to be a bit curt. The market is well attended and so a very good vibe. Get there early, as with all markets they start packing up at about 2pm. The market is held in the main car park. There is plenty of parking over the road if you are driving in the beach car park.

Nice market,you can find lots of summer clothing,bags and hats there There is one line with fresh fruits and vegetables and some olives as well. It operates on Fridays only,till 13:30 But keep in mind,that the later you get there,the busier it will be. I came at 10:30,it was already very packed,especially if you come by car.There is a big free parking,but at 10:30 it took me about 20min to wait for smb to drive away and take the spot

Lovely wander round the market. Couple of hours and you're done. Great mix of touristy stuff and lovely produce.

Good tee shirts. Don't buy watches from the watch stall, no instructions, vendor couldn't set up watch. In the end changed for another, on this one the second hand sticks, wouldn't give refund.

Good spot for families as there is a big available terrace with shade. Prices are ok food and drinks acceptable. On the weekends it's obviously super crowded so parking becomes an issue, you need some patience. Water is ok the clean side despite the people. (August) I've visited this place on late September and is much nicer 👆

Fantastic beach. Especially the first days of October. There are only a few people, the weather is warm and the water is comfortable.

Its a good enough beach. Since there are not many alternatives it can get quite full. There are no showers as far as I can recall, only some taps to clean your feat. The water is quite nice there, though!

Geat beach with many facilities: chair and sunscreen rental, food and drinks, first aid, disabled facilities, life guards, parking, etc... really well-maintained. I would give it 5 stars but the arrival of Dutch fast food that can be ordered by phone to the beach, has reduced the traditional, local atmosphere.

The beach is clean and a decent size. There is a kids’ playground, and a parking area. Dogs are not allowed. The restaurants are also close by which is great! (Photos taken in February 2022)

Worth visiting if your in the town. Free to get in, you don't need long to ponder the displays, but very informative. Nive views from the staired windows.

Fantastic Castle This is a really nice location in the town centre. You can view the castle have a little stroll around and go and eat in one of the local restaurants. The castle is beautiful and worth perusing although it is quite small. Still worth it!

A great talk about the Pirates in and around Moraira in the XVIII century. Finishing with a short video of the history of the Castle in Moraira. The Tourist Office in Moraira has plenty of talks to enjoy this summer in the area.

Try to go when the museum is open, it's very interesting! There's a short film that's shown in several languages.

Great Walk & scenic views This is a great place to walk around with the family. Not many bars etc, but great for the views. We really enjoyed wandering around here whilst visiting Moraira.

Less busy than the main beach in Moraira with the downside of a rocky, not sandy approach to the sea. Small car park but out of season there are parking places. Behind the Beach is a small grassy park area with tables that benefits from the shade of the trees. Very popular with Spanish enjoying time with family. I love the peacefulness of this beach ⛱️

Lunch reservation for 4. Three of us had the duck. Mine was tough and tasteless. My wife enjoyed hers. The 4th meal was vegetarian and that was tasty. Service was attentive, prompt and friendly. Atmosphere and setting, awesome. Overall, a pleasant lunch, albeit a little pricey which was offset by great setting.

Fabulous place for dinner. Superb location and view, friendly staff and excellent food. This was our favourite location and we will be booking a few nights next time - you must book a good week or more in advance.

El Chamizo is a fantastic spot for dinner with its stunning oceanfront location, perfect for a relaxing meal. The staff were attentive and made our experience enjoyable. I loved the fried anchovies, crisp and flavorful! Most of our table enjoyed the dishes, though two weren’t as keen on theirs. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stop for food with a great vibe. I’d happily return.

If it's not windy ask for a table to the front of the restaurant for great sea views, but if it's windy you may want to be indoors or in the rear courtyard. Food was very good. Two of us had the mixed paella, very tasty but be warned it is a traditional paella so the meat is in the bones to give flavour. All dishes came with fresh vegetables. Service was very friendly.

I may be biased because I come all the time, but it is a stunning beach! Occasionally smells like tar on the far side when the kids start digging. Beware of jellyfish after a very stormy day as they come round the headland. Great for snorkeling and has the 2 beach front bars!

Shallow Water, perfect for kids. Sand is pretty dirty though, and there is not much space.

Nice with beautiful water but too crowded all day long with little space to put your towel down. No breeze, hard to breath! Too hot with the kids and hard to park! I’m sure it’s fantastic in June or September!

I went to Saxo more than 20 years ago, and I still remember it — which is saying something, considering the average night out from that time has long since been lost to history. Whatever magic they had then clearly made an impression. If the place has even half that atmosphere now, it’s still worth your time.

Saxo is very popular & a great place to enjoy live music from a selection of very good artists. No entrance fee, drinks are reasonably priced and the wait staff are very attentive. A nice relaxed & chilled out ambience. Plenty of sesting however does get very busy. A Burger bar on site and the food is sooo tasty. Plenty of free parking in the adjacent car park. Good times to be had no matter how big your party is. Enjoy🍾🍷🍺🍹🎼🎶🎤🎸🥁 ...also night club.

The restaurant has been favourably refurbished. As always, staff are very polite and professional. The food was exceptional and beyond compare!

Very beautiful place. I think the most beautiful in the area. The food was nice but nothing out of this world. The waiters are great but the kitchen is very very slow in preparing the food. Also for the anniversary they gave us a nice gift of two sweet wines at the end which was a great touch. I also say cute sofas on their first floor just for drinks. We will come back for the vibes and views for sure.

A magical evening at Le Dauphin. Lovely welcome by delightful head waitress followed by outstanding amuse bouches watching the sunset. Service warm with some very minor niggles (e.g. never asked if things were ok). Both starter and mains were great. The 'Espuma de Bearnesa' only disappointment, had gone wrong and shouldn't have been served. But again minor niggle and all in all, muy bueno! 👌👌👌

It was a pleasure to eat at Le Dauphin on my husband’s birthday. The food was amazing and the staff was fantastic and friendly. Thank you for the surprise song for my husband he was very happy. All in all a perfect evening and perfect food.

Exquisite dining at Le Dauphin, Moraira ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our experience at Le Dauphin in Moraira can only be described as exquisite, and strangely enough, that feeling started before we even entered. Small tip: don’t make our mistake. We arrived a bit too early, saw a chain with a “no entry” sign across the main stairs, and thought the entrance was somewhere else… 😉 The approach takes you past a small sandy beach and charming terraces. Enter through the wooden gate, climb the stairs, and you’re met with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Along the way, you glimpse different dining areas. We chose the “small terraces with sea view”, just two tables on the top level, giving us privacy while still soaking in the ambiance. The larger terrace sits to the left, separated by glass, so there’s no disturbance from any hustle and bustle. Our table was beautifully set. We were warmly welcomed by staff speaking a charming mix of Dutch, Spanish, and English (several speak Dutch). Warm bread arrived with outstanding olive oil and salt. We went for the “Menu Le Dauphin,” a thoughtfully curated 4-course menu, with two choices per course. The view? Simply spectacular. Service: Exceptionally friendly and professional. Restrooms: Small, but spotless. Coffee & dessert: Excellent, and any Dutch person will understand why this matters. If I had to mention one tiny improvement, it would be that the little plant on our table looked a bit sad… but that’s just nitpicking. A flawless dining experience with breathtaking views, warm service, and refined cuisine, worth every moment and every bite.

We visited this restaurant again after a wonderful experience last year, but unfortunately this time was quite disappointing. The overall standard has dropped noticeably. The food from the set menu was fine, but nothing stood out, for the price and the portions we expected more. The service, however, was below expectations, staff seemed unprepared and couldn’t recommend a suitable wine when asked. What also affected the atmosphere was the presence of several fruit flies above our table, which really shouldn’t happen indoors. It’s such a shame, as last year the service, food, and overall experience were absolutely outstanding. We hope the restaurant can return to the high level it once had. When the staff asked about our experience we did politely pointed out the fruit flies, unfortunately it was laughed away.

Literally the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. I had the lamb shank and Carmel cheesecake and they were both to die for. The service, atmosphere and everything else was amazing. All I can say is thank you VERY MUCH for this wonderful experience! I’ll definitely be back in the future!

This restaurant truly exceeded all my expectations when it comes to service. The service was simply next level — I have never been treated so well during any of my visits to Spain. This was, without a doubt, the best Spanish hospitality I have ever experienced. The team was incredibly polite, genuinely caring, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. A huge bonus for us: they welcomed us inside with our small, very well-behaved dog, who quietly stayed under the table without disturbing anyone. We usually face a lot of restrictions about this, but here, they were so relaxed and accommodating, which made the experience even more special. Honestly, I don’t know what else to say — I will definitely, definitely be coming back!

We've been 3 times since theyve reopened and we love it. The terrace is so pleasant on a sunny day. Food is great, some traditional dishes some more creative ( love the smocky aubergine tempura!), everything was delicious. Nice wine selection too and staff is very friendly and attentive. We've not seen it very busy yet so I hope more people come to visit, it's truly a gem

We had a superb meal/dining experience - so pleased we went! We had eaten here several years ago and since then it has changed ownership and we hadn’t returned (not sure why?!). Anyhow, we have returned and we wish we hadn’t left it so long! The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was calm, peaceful, spacious, relaxing and welcoming. The service was excellent and the wines were spot on. All-in-all a really fabulous evening and we will be back. We ordered 2 starters (both of which were superb) and that was plenty to share between 4 of us. Our main dishes were all delicious and we all said we would be very happy to have them again! If you want an evening to remember, I’d definitely recommend here!

Ate here as we could walk it to & from the restaurant without going into too busy Moraira. Excellent service, they made us feel so welcome, we had 2 children with us aged 7 & 9. We have just had the most amazing meal at Ca Pepe . The food was incredible, service amazing and good wine too. We went to Ca Pepe the week they opened as we live almost opposite and to say we were disappointed was an understatement ……until today we haven’t returned. However, following reading recent Facebook reviews, today we thought we would try it again. (Thank you everyone for your feedback) . We had Garlic Prawns to share, the best I have ever tasted! Our main courses were Iberico Pork and Shoulder of Lamb and again amazing flavour and texture as the meat was so tender. Followed by green pineapple with coconut ice cream which was incredible . We enjoyed a fabulous bottle of Chardonnay . Overall a delicious meal. We will definitely return

We didn't have a reservation but the staff sorted us out a table indoors which was good as it was still very hot outside. The service was great and the food really enjoyable. I recommend the goats cheese salad, it was exceptional. Will definitely return. Lovely restaurant.

My wife and daughter didn't take the olives off and they knew it: they both got food poisoning. Food and service have been aweful. The service was slow and very grumpy and stressed. Had to get the childrens chair ourself. The pasta tasted like it was warmed up, fries tasted as if they had been in very old oil. Tortilla was slimey.

Excellent food, good service at a very good price. Fillet steak was cooked perfectly. The paella was very well cooked and presented. The linguini was massive and full of seafood. May well head back here.

I’ve never complained at a restaurant before or left a review but this food was so bad. The meatballs in sauce was just some blobs in a watery oily sauce, patatas bravas was just bad and undercooked and the calamari was the WORST! It was like a tyre texture, we tried to rip it and it wouldn’t no matter how hard we pulled and it was like this rubbery gross fish.

An absolutely abysmal paella Valencia. The rice was burnt and stuck to the pan and add for the chicken words fail me. A total lack of edible meat, think of broken up chicken wings and the knuckle of a drum stick and you are almost there. Had to ask repeatedly for pan con alioli. The cheesecake was tasteless. The girl and young man where attentive whilst the 2 older men seem to be suffering with delusions of grandeur. If with the best of goodwill I can't recommend the place.

Bro, they ignored us the whole time. When we raised our hands, they quickly look away and pretend nothing happend. That 4.1 rating? i call that B.S Do they have something against dutch people? Answer: We raised our hands multiple times and when we asked for service she told us to wait. She never returned and just stands there. We got patience but after being ignores for over 15 min it was done. Coincidently when we asked for the check, they came instantly. Weird. And that 4.1? Probably from local people and not tourists. Probably even bought those 5 star reviews. I also can tell off your responses to other 1 star reviews, that you don't like criticism and not even want them to come back is just pathetic.

Horrible, don’t recommend at all. Is a tourist trap, i went there with a friend and it wasn’t that busy but they took more than 45 minutes for some fried little squid (that takes less than 5 minutes to cook) and close to 1 hour 15 minutes for a seafood paella (again, it takes max around 20-30 minutes). Waiters were rude to us when asking about our food and not willing to help or even bring us some bread or something for the wait. There was only one spanish guy that was so nice to us, but the rest shouldn’t be working in front of house, confused all the time with the tables, serving the same paella we asked for to tables that came in later than us.The paella was disgraceful, i don’t know how they can call it like that. The picture you can see the supposed to be ‘socarrat’ is just rice stuck to the bottom of the paella. Tasteless and half of the rice was stuck. We paid around 70 quid for the worst meal of our trip. Don’t go there.

Fun beachside restaurant with local cuisine. Having only ever had paella or fish but these were flavourful and well presented. Prices are average for this type of venue at the seaside in Moraira. Clothing casual. It gets busy & service can be slower so go to relax. They have inside dining but nothing beats sitting by the sea and sharing a meal with friends or family.

We ordered a seafood paella for 5 and it was the perfect amount for 4 adults and two small children. It was flavorful and everyone wanted a second serving! There were no tables available outside so we ended up eating in the restaurant upstairs. We appreciated their flexibility in seating us in the upstairs area because they were actually closed! It made for an excellent birthday meal out 🎂

I highly recommend this place, we were there 2 weeks ago, and although it was close to closing, the staff said that if there were customers - they were open. The service was top class, and the food was phenomenal. I recommend it to everyone!!

I can’t recommend this place enough! On sea front with beautiful views, lovely staff and the best paella I have ever had. Every time I come to moraira I go there at least twice for their Paella Marisco. Definitely worth the trip!

Like the adjacent business, it's all about the views. This restaurant also seems to have equally miserable staff, who are slow and unattentive. To their credit they do have more food options but it's nothing to shout about. It's a shame because again the location is fantastic and it would compliment the area is the restaurants were equally fantastic. We headed here last night and we’re not disappointed! What a beautiful place, the decor was stunning, the staff were excellent and friendly. Food was exceptional. No photos I’m sorry. I haven’t been feeling to well so unfortunately didn’t eat much of my meal and the gentlemen who I presume was the owner came over to ask if all was okay. I assured him it was and that unfortunately my appetite wasn’t to good at the moment. He said if we went again and I needed a smaller portion they would accommodate me. Excellent and look forward to returning next week

We attended early July and had the most wonderful experience. The food was incredible and the service was even better. When we left we were presented with a bottle of Prosecco as the owner wasn’t there (unfortunately in hospital but recovering thankfully) and it was there way of apologising. I would recognise this restaurant to everybody - it truly is incredible. We cannot wait to come on holiday again so we can return

This restaurant never fails to reward. The food is unmatched in it's quality and the service is everything to the owner. 5 stars doesn't do it justice. Of all the restaurants I've eaten in globally, this is by far the best.

So sad… after nearly 30 years of visiting here, I can only say I was served what was a child’s menu with zero atmosphere. To give some context this restaurant used to have queues up the road. The night I went it was empty… should have been a warning sign. At best I had an over priced McDonald’s… so sad. The cockroach on my leg which i splatted through dinner I could deal with but the pre heated food no longer commands a €100 price tag. The owners (who I know after many visits) probably need to bail out before they destroy the reputation of what was built me of Moraira best places to eat.

Their POS terminal was broken when we visited. They let us return the following night to pay for our dinner in cash and offered us a beer on the house for our trouble.

Even though it used to be our favorite place to have paella, after one unsuccessful dinner we have stopped going there. The thing is, when you just arrive to Spain and don't really yet know what's good/authentic Spanish food and what's just tourist oriented you might think what they serve at El Refugio is actually good. Same happened to us. In the beginning seemed like their paella is just the way it should be, until ones we've discovered a frozen shrimp instead of a fresh one in the pan. I was amazed specially that it was still frozen. Not only they don't use fresh shrimps, they even manage NOT to cover this fact by not bothering to at least cook it, before throwing on the pan with paella ready to serve. Very big disappointment, and it started sooo well in the beginning. We used to bring all our friends there, coz we were sure it's great native kitchen. So that is one of a very few places I will not recommend. 3 stars is a very middle quality sign, which is what you get there, it's OK but not great. Sorry guys, no offense.

Authentic and really fairly priced. This is NOT a tourist trap unlike the other restaurants in the surroundings. Really lovely staff and delicious food. I recommend Refugio from the bottom of my heart.

Very friendly place, excellent service. Went for the vegetarian menu today. The gazpacho starter was very good. Had the verduras a la plancha, and it was unfortunately greasy and salty, too much so for my liking.

AVOID! Such a shame to leave a negative review as we have been coming here for over 30 years , and the same lady owner is behind the bar but now the food is beyond awful, the portion size is tiny, poor quality , ie tiny portions with some tinned veg a hand fully of greasy chips for expensive price .. however the service is good but the restaurant is empty nowadays understandably.. goodbye el Refugio

The good thing was the very friendly staff. Starting with the sticky Menu cards containing a somewhat confusing menu You can ONLY choose between menus so you can’t really order what you want because you have to stick to the selection of the chosen menu. It’s just confusing… The food is truely dreadful I had the gazpacho and the vegetarian Spaghetti The gazpacho was extremely sour and and very very Bitter. The bread served on the side was loaded with oil and judging by its taste was made 2 days ago. Aside from the fact that I had a hair in my food the spaghetti were mushy and soaked in fat as were the vegetables. I really can’t reccomend eating here

Nice place overlooking the marina. It is quieter than the majority of the bars along the promenade because it is situated a bit outside. The contemporary design, lovely atmosphere. The only drawback - we couldn't get any coffee - the coffee machine was broken

Visited today for breakfast while out in town didn’t love it sausage was very mushy fell apart hash brown also very mushy. Wouldn’t recommend other than that it was a very good view would come just for the view of the harbour

What an amazing 3 course dinner. Tremendous setting and a beautiful restaurant. Very high quality food. So good that I forgot to take pictures from the first two courses. Friendly staff. A perfect evening in the Moraira harbour.

Quite a mixed bag of reviews! Speak as you find … our service was friendly and efficient throughout. Lovely spot for dinner right on the marina. The food was very nice although the calamari were a bit chewy sadly. I’d definitely return. Loo review - up some steps, I didn’t see a ramp there may be one. Clean and maintained.

Great views on the way up with several places to sit end enjoy thew view. First half of the climb is over loose rocks, some of which are very smooth so can be slippy on the odd occasion it is wet. Construction work around the tower at present which spoils the spot. It's about a 2mile return hike with 460ft of climbing from the start of the trail. There is parking on the road just down from start of the trail.

Easy hike - suitable for beginners. Would not recommend for family with young kids/toddlers as some areas are quite narrow and steep. There are a few rest areas along the path and at the top. The views are beautiful. Ps. The rocks may be more slippery in the morning.
