One of the places in Satara with historical significance. It is sad that its not maintained well. Definitely worth a visit as it does not take very long. You can drive 4W all the way till the top and then there are about 30 odd steps to go the top of the fort. The fort offers great views of the city and has lush greenery in the rainy season.
Aditya G — Google review
Visited Ajinkyatara Fort in monsoon — lush green views, misty hills, and peaceful vibes! The drive is scenic, fort clean and historic. Perfect for a short trek, photography, and weekend getaway near Satara.
Sujit — Google review
Ajinkyatara Fort, perched on one of Satara’s seven surrounding hills, is a blend of history, panoramic views, and serene atmosphere. Known as the "Fort of the Brave," it holds great significance in Maratha history, once serving as a capital under Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj. The trek to the fort is relatively easy and rewarding, with sweeping views of Satara city and the lush Sahyadri ranges. Though some parts of the fort are in ruins, the ancient gates, bastions, and temples still reflect its glorious past. It’s a must-visit for history lovers, trekkers, and anyone looking to enjoy peaceful hilltop vistas.

When I visited, half of the work of the museum was done and half was in progress in feb 2025. you have to pay for parking and entry tickets which is nominal. Newly constructed place. So you can see things which has been used at the time of shivaji maharaj like talwar, banduk, bhala and more.

Pleasant surprise to see such a good show on various armaments used by our ancestors... If you are a student of history or history aficionado, then it is a must visit...bring a pencil and sketch book as photos are not allowed... A quick tour will last for 1/2 hour...but it will not justify for this museum...

Memorial
Char Bhinti is a serene and picturesque spot located near Ajinkyatara fort in Satara. It offers breathtaking views of the city, including the city lights at night. Visitors can enjoy the cool breeze and stunning vistas of Ajinkyatara fort, the road to Kaas, and NH4 Pune Bangalore highway. It's recommended to visit in the evening for a calming experience or during sunrise or sunset for an unforgettable sight.
This is another place which provides beautiful bird eye view over Satara after Ajinkyagad Fort. Although we visited it at night yet the view was auspicious. Disclaimer if you ever visit this avoid throwing garbage, its not cleaned which is making this place loose its beauty.
Pratik K — Google review
One of the best place and must visit place in satara. Yeh nahi dekha toh kya dekha. You can see whole satara city from this hillok. At night this place add cherry on the cake.
Shubham N — Google review
Chaar Bhinti does not feel like a historical or well-maintained tourist place. The area is littered with garbage, especially cigarette butts and alcohol bottles, which creates an unpleasant and unsafe environment. There's no proper parking space available, which adds to the inconvenience for visitors. The only positive aspect is the view between 7 PM to 8 PM, which is quite beautiful and peaceful. However, after that time, the place becomes uncomfortable due to the presence of litter and signs of alcohol consumption. It's not ideal for families or peaceful evening outings. Authorities should take steps to clean the area and maintain it properly for tourists and locals alike. --
Sachin P — Google review
View from top is very nice specially in the night. In the night consider by going car or auto. And ask auto to wait till you visit monument from safety purpose. One suggestion, no lights available in char bhinti smarak area. So you can't read any information about our freedom fighters.
Amit K — Google review
You can see good view from there...(almost all Satara city )these are quite old monuments...good seating arrangement and lights..good for one time visit
Dr. N — Google review
Char Bhinti in Satara is a historic monument with deep connections to the Maratha period. Built by Chhatrapati Pratapsingh Maharaj, it was once used as an administrative office and has witnessed important events in history. Today, it stands as a heritage structure and a reminder of Satara’s royal past. The monument is simple yet elegant, with four beautifully constructed walls that give it its name. The place also offers a nice view of Satara city and nearby hills, making it a good spot for photography and quiet walks. Though not very large, it is significant for those interested in history and heritage. Maintenance could be better, but the monument still carries an aura of pride and legacy. A quick but worthwhile visit if you are exploring Satara and want to connect with its cultural and historical roots.
Prasad C — Google review

If you're a sunset lover moon gazing person then you must visit this place at least once. From chaar bhinti you'll able to see Ajinkyatara fort situated nearby, road to kaas, city view from east and west both side, NH4 pune banglore highway, some of attraction buildings of the city. Highly recommended to visit with friends and family.

Shri Uttar Chidambaram Nataraj Temple is a magnificent Hindu temple dedicated to the Tandava Performance avatar of Lord Shiva as Lord Nataraja. Located in Satara, it is a popular destination for religious travelers. The temple's architecture resembles that of South Indian temples and is adorned with stone depictions of Bharatanatyam postures. This Temple has the amazing architecture and has the peaceful environment in surrounding nature. I felt overwhelmed after visiting this Temple. The all gods idols in this Temple 🛕 are divine, big and beautiful you can feel divine presence there.
Rahul K — Google review
The Shri Uttara Chidambaram Nataraja Mandir, located in Satara, Maharashtra, is a distinguished temple dedicated to Lord Nataraja, an embodiment of Lord Shiva performing the cosmic dance, Tandava. This temple is a faithful replica of the renowned Chidambaram Temple in Tamil Nadu, earning it the moniker “Uttara Chidambaram” or “Northern Chidambaram.” Established in 1985, the temple’s inception was inspired by Pujyasri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Mahaswamiji during his stay in Satara. The construction was a collaborative effort, with contributions from the state governments of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh, while Kerala provided the timber required for the structure. Renowned architect M. S. Ganapathi Sthapathi led the design, ensuring the temple’s adherence to traditional Dravidian architectural principles. The temple complex is notable for its intricate carvings and sculptures, including 180 representations of Bharatnatyam dance mudras. It houses several shrines dedicated to various deities, such as Adi Shankaracharya, Lord Ayyappa, Lord Hanuman, Radha-Krishna, the Navagrahas, and Lord Ganesha, reflecting a confluence of spiritual traditions. Situated along National Highway 4, the temple is easily accessible and serves as a significant spiritual and cultural landmark in the region. Its serene ambiance and architectural grandeur make it a must-visit destination for devotees and tourists alike.
Ashutosh J — Google review
I am from Tamil Nadu and was surprised to see this temple (Tamil Architecture) while passing through the highway. Turned the car back and visited. It is a miniature of Chidambaram Natarajar Kanaga Sabai. Great experience
Varadha R — Google review
It's a very peaceful place consisting 4 walls made by four state Govt.s Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh , Tamilnadu and Karnataka . Camera inside the temple is strictly prohibited. It's a place to feel rather than capture in mobile .A must visit place.

Natraj Mandir in Satara, also known as Uttara Chidambaram Temple, is one of the most peaceful and beautifully designed temples in the city. Dedicated to Lord Natraj, it reflects South Indian Dravidian architecture with tall gopurams, detailed carvings, and a calm spiritual atmosphere. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and easily accessible from the main highway. I like how it represents unity between different states, as it was built with the support of several southern states. Visiting the temple early morning feels very divine and refreshing. It is an ideal place for prayer, meditation, and appreciating traditional art and culture. In my opinion, Natraj Mandir is not only a religious place but also a cultural landmark of Satara, bringing peace and pride to everyone who visits.
Suraj S — Google review
Good south indian style built temple of god Natarajan, located on pandharpur route. Complete vibe of south Indian style temple, having 4 doors marked based on donation come from various States. Must visit for clean and call environment.

Very calm and peaceful temple. Gives a divine feel of south. Pandits sitting in the main premises are very good and explain about the temple in a great manner
SHAILENDRA G — Google review
A peaceful temple of Lord Natraj which is known as an Avatar of Lord Shiva and god of Dance, situated right in the middle of the Satara city. The art works are fascinating and interesting. The temple has openings from 4 sides with exactly same design and style. The architecture of the temple will remind of the temples from South India. There are around 7-8 small temples of various Gods and Goddesses situated inside the temple.

Hindu temple
The Dholya Ganpati Mandir, located in Satara, holds great significance and is situated in the ancient area of Wai, once known as Virat Nagari during the Mahabharata. The temple features a 10-foot tall idol of Lord Ganesha, crafted by Shri Ganpatrao Bhikaji Raste in 1762. Visitors can also take a dip in the nearby Krishna river.
Wai, often called “Dakshin Kashi” (Kashi of the South), is a peaceful town known for its over 100 ancient temples. One of the most famous temples here is the ➡️ Dholya Ganpati Temple, located on the scenic Ganpati Ghat by the Krishna River. The huge idol of Lord Ganesha (called Dholya due to its size) is a major attraction and holds deep religious importance. Just near this temple is the Mahadev Temple, another beautiful and serene spot dedicated to Lord Shiva. Both temples are perfect places to sit, relax, and soak in the spiritual energy by the river.
Yash B — Google review
Very big bappa murti(idol) and clean environment within the mandir. No pic of bappa could be taken due to rules(posting one small replica available at fadanvis wada). Kashivishveshwar mandir is also nearby. The venue has kind of limited parking if visited on weekends, weekdays should be fine. If in wai, do visit and take blessings. Rating is just something Google needed..but this also enroute the nana fadanvis wada, so could be done in one trip.
Dinesh P — Google review
Dholya Ganpati Mandir is located in Guruwar Peth, Satara. The temple cannot be easily found as the way to reach there is through narrow paths and lanes. You have to ask about the way for Dholya Ganapati Mandir. If you have a four wheeler then you should park your vehicle at your own risk besides the road. Trust should launch the name board at the road side so that it will be easy to reach there. Dholya Ganapati Mandir is an ancient temple.

Dholya Ganpati Mandir is a must-visit spiritual landmark in Wai, often referred to as the "Dakshin Kashi" of Maharashtra due to its rich temple heritage. Located on the banks of the Krishna River, this temple stands out with its majestic architecture and historical significance. 🛕 Architectural Marvel Built in 1762 by Sardar Ganpatrao Bhikaji Raste, the temple features a 24-meter-high spire and intricate carvings of Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, and Goddess Parvati. The temple's grand hall is supported by arches on three sides, creating a serene and spiritual ambiance. Inside, the 10-foot-tall, 8-foot-wide black stone idol of Lord Ganesha is the largest of its kind in Maharashtra, earning the temple its name "Dholya Ganpati," meaning "Fat Ganesha" in Marathi. ZP Satara +1 🌊 Scenic Location The temple is situated beside the Krishna River, offering a tranquil setting for visitors. The surrounding area, including the Ganpati Ghat, is known for its historical temples and is a significant pilgrimage site. Wikipedia 🙏 Spiritual Experience Visitors often praise the temple for its peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity to connect with the divine. The adjacent Kashi Vishweshwar Temple adds to the spiritual experience, believed to be a replica of the original Kashi Vishwanath temple of Varanasi. Discovering Temples ✅ Visitor Tips Best Time to Visit: October to March, avoiding the monsoon season. Accessibility: The temple is easily accessible by road from Pune. Dholya Ganapati, just name reveals itself much more. This mandir is situated in satara city and not in wai. Mandir in wai is named and famous as Maha Ganapati mandir. There is very nice idol of Lord Ganapati Bappa in this dholya ganapati mandir. As we go upstairs and enter into hall, we get divine feels and have darshan of Lord dholya ganapati bappa. Nice place for worship, meditation and prayers rituals. श्री ढोल्या गणपती बाप्पा यांचे यांचे दिव्य दर्शन घेतल्यावर मन अतिशय प्रसन्न व प्रफुल्लित होते. It's very calm and peaceful mandir surrounded by nature and in the base part of ajinkyatara fort towards satara city. Please avoid taking car upto mandir since road is so narrow, instead park safely at main road area and go by walk for just 5/10 mins. Two wheelers can be taken upto mandir easily but please park those very perfectly so as other vehicles can pass easily and go further from narrow road. No access for wheel chair. While visiting please take darshan, enjoy calmness and atleast sit for sometime and enjoy divine feels.

A scenic Ganesh temple on the banks of the Krishna River in Wai, Satara, with an ancient Shiva temple nearby. The name Dholya Ganpati signifies the huge belly of the Ganesh idol. The river flows past a well-built ghat, which becomes the centre of the annual Krishnamai Utsav in November. Though there’s no permanent temple for the goddess, an idol of Krishnamai is taken out in a vibrant procession with drums and lejhim performances.

Lodwick Point, formerly known as Sydney Point, is a picturesque mountain clearing located about 5 kilometers from Mahabaleshwar's central market. Named after Colonel General Lodwick, the first European to ascend this hill in 1824, it offers stunning sunset views across hills and valleys.
A beautiful breathtaking view. Excellent spot. Easily accessible. Beautiful natural environment. Very clean and we'll maintained. Lovely place to visit.

There is some Road Construction work going on and hence you need to Walk for around 3 kilometres to reach there. But I would advise to take that effort because the view and the scenery it offer at the end is awesome. In the middle you can find some small shops for your refreshment needs. And can also enjoy Horse riding here. Ahead of this pont is the famous Elephant point or the Needle point which is also worth visiting

I honestly can’t express my feelings — the experience is on another level. The fresh air at the top of the mountains, combined with the breathtaking view of the river and mountain range, is something you have to feel in person. Absolutely magical and a must-visit spot

The newly constructed concrete road is not enough to pass 2 sedan cars in opposite direction. This cause heavy traffic & we got to drive in reverse for almost 3kms. One of the cars was almost went down the lane (the lane is 1 feet steep on both sides) Tourists have to be more cautious taking this route, I highly recommend NO to this spot having this road.
Kuzhali K — Google review

Sunset point in Mahabaleshwar with a view of Pratapgad fort. The point is a short walk from the parking lot and offers gorgeous panoramic views. During and post monsoon, several waterfalls can be seen in the surrounding hills. You can also continue walking ahead for about 10 minutes to reach Elephants head. Vendors offer simple local snacks and beverages. Usually, you will not get any network coverage at this point.
Meanderer — Google review
As a scenic location, this is among the best in Mahabaleshwar. But all the fun is spoiled because of the extremely narrow road leading to the point (up to the parking area that barely accommodates 10 cars, beyond which you must walk). The cement road is narrow and elevated about a foot from ground. You have to drive carefully to avoid either to stop the left wheel from going off the road into the ditch, or rubbing the vehicles coming from the other side. If you are traveling in an expensive car, it's best to avoid this place.
Rajeev D — Google review
It was a beautiful view from the point. The parking is approximately 800 to 900 meters away from the point so you have to walk for like 15 min but the road is great so that's not a problem and both the lodwick point and elephant point are close to each other just like 200 meters distance but elephant point has a greater view of the valley.❤️

Rajwada Satara is a stunning historical palace that beautifully encapsulates the royal heritage of the city. With its intricately carved pillars and grand wooden doors, this architectural marvel offers visitors a glimpse into the opulence of the Maratha Empire. As you stroll through its serene courtyards, you can almost hear echoes of history whispering tales from a bygone era.
I think this is heaven for fast food lovers. It's a very crowded place. U can have any popular Marathi fast food here, like pao vaji, bada pao, dabla, faluda, poteto ring, gol gappe and many more. I'm not a big fan of fast food but the place is amazing. Surrounded with old maratha structures. Must visit in satara.

Historical Majesty at Rajwada, Satara Rajwada in Satara is a remarkable blend of history, architecture, and cultural significance. This palace stands as a testament to the grandeur of the Maratha Empire. The intricate carvings, grand wooden doors, and spacious courtyards immediately transport you to a bygone era. While the structure shows its age in parts, the raw, untouched beauty adds to its charm. The surrounding area is serene, and the view of Satara's bustling town from the Rajwada premises is delightful. It’s a perfect spot for history enthusiasts, architecture lovers, and photographers alike. However, better signage and improved maintenance could elevate the visitor experience. Despite this, Rajwada remains a must-visit for anyone exploring the heritage of Maharashtra. Spend an hour or two here to soak in the stories of a glorious past.

The palace has now been converted to a school. Nothing much to look at except the pics which I have posted. The top floor lies unutilised. The stone structure gives a glimpse of how wonderful and grand the place must have been. With the Khau galli next to it, one needs to search for a parking space.

Under Chattrapati Shahu Maharaj I reign, Maratha power and influence extended to all corners of the Indian subcontinent. He was a powerful ruler of the Maratha samrajya(kingdom) after Shivaji Maharaj I and Sambhaji Maharaj I. However, after his death on 15 December 1749 at Rangmahal Rajwada Satara , power moved from the ruling Chhatrapati to his ministers (the Peshwas) and the generals who had carved out their own fiefdoms such as Bhonsle of Nagpur, Gaekwad of Baroda, Sindhia of Gwalior and Holkar of Indore.🚩🚩🚩

Excellent place to visit. Good waterfall in Sahyadri range near Satara. Walkways and stairs are well developed so you can have good views of waterfall. Entry fee is Rs 50 per person. If you want to see both falls you have to trek little more. Old age people who has difficulty in walking should avoid. Two water falls big and small. Big water fall can be seen from specially made overview platform. It's in valley and in rainy season you will enjoy this waterfall. Small water fall is from less height and you can go near falls. Cave behind waterfall is amazing. Enjoyed visit very much. Highly recommended during rainy season.

Satara Thoseghar Waterfall is one of the most spectacular natural attractions in Satara and an absolute must-visit place for nature lovers. Surrounded by dense greenery and countless trees, the area offers a breathtaking view of both big and small waterfalls cascading beautifully down the cliffs. The sound of the flowing water combined with the peaceful forest atmosphere makes it a truly refreshing experience. The main viewpoint gives a clear sight of the tall, majestic waterfall, which looks even more stunning during or right after the monsoon. The smaller waterfall area is also very scenic, and they even offer professional photography near the water at an extra charge of ₹2000 — a nice option if you want memorable pictures. Entry tickets cost ₹50 per person, and it’s definitely worth every rupee for the view and experience you get. The place is generally well-maintained, but visitors should be cautious about monkeys, especially while walking toward the big waterfall. These monkeys can be aggressive and may try to snatch food or bags, so carrying a stick for safety is advisable. Overall, Thoseghar Waterfall is a peaceful yet adventurous destination that offers stunning scenery, fresh air, and a close connection with nature. When in Satara, this place is not to be missed — especially if combined with a visit to the nearby Chalkewadi Windmills for a perfect day trip.

The Thoseghar Waterfall near Satara, Maharashtra, is known for its beautiful series of cascades, and visitor reviews frequently praise its scenic charm. The site is noted for being well-maintained and offering a less-crowded experience, especially if you visit during the week or early in the morning. A well-managed and tranquil experience What sets Thoseghar apart is its ability to offer a peaceful communion with nature, a stark contrast to more heavily commercialized destinations. The management of the site is a significant reason for this. Orderly infrastructure: The site features well-constructed pathways and steps, which are safe and easy to navigate. An observation gallery with protective railings has been set up to prevent accidents and give visitors an excellent view of the main falls. Controlled access: There is a nominal entry fee that contributes to the site's upkeep, and access is managed by forest officials at the gate. This helps control the number of people on-site at any given time. Viewing areas: Separate viewpoints are designated for the main and smaller waterfalls, providing a clear and safe way to enjoy both spectacular sights. This reduces crowding in any single spot and enhances the overall visitor experience.
Piyush J — Google review
Thoseghar Waterfall in Maharashtra’s Satara district is a natural wonder made up of two major waterfalls, locally known as chota dabdaba and motha dabdaba (meaning small and large waterfalls, respectively). The pathway to the chota dabdaba is quite long and has several ups and downs, but the view is absolutely worth it. Entry to this waterfall is restricted as the water flows with great force, making it risky for visitors. The paths are not well maintained and can get slippery due to the mist and splashes from the falls. There’s a viewing deck for the motha dabdaba, from where you can soak in the breathtaking view. The site is maintained by the Satara Forest Department. Parking space and washrooms are available, though the washroom wasn’t lit during the evening hours, which can be unsafe. Recommendations: - Wear good-quality sports or trekking shoes - Elderly visitors should avoid the steeper paths - Carry a water bottle if needed - Walk carefully; avoid rushing or running - Don’t litter - Don’t pluck flowers or disturb the natural surroundings

Sufficient quantity of changing rooms for ladies and gents, similarly sufficient quantity of swiming costumes are provided 7. Unique activity of catching fish from the adjecent water tank for a fee of ₹100. 8. The same water tank provides peddle boating for free. 9. The hanging bridge isinteresting for adventure lovers, and is perfect spot for photography. 10. Bullockcart and toy train ride on the peripheral track is yet another enjoyble activity. 11. There are plenty of love birds, rabbits and geese which attracts small kids. 12. Sufficiant staff is looking after all the activities and are alway redy to provide necessary help and support. Especially canteen staff is very supportive. 13. Complete vegeterian homely food and tasty tea are worth tasting. 14. Residential rooms are cosy and comfortable, with hot water facility. 15. Perfect set up for cooling down for school trips from Satara and Karad area. There are positive points as well as negative points also. 1. Though the set up is perfect for school trips, it is not suitable and conviniant for aged groups. 2. Too much of crowd and noise during the school trip visit time. 3. Swiming pool has plenty of leaves from nearby trees and looks like no efforts are made to remove the leaves regularly. 4. Though food is homely and tasty, it lacks variety. 5. Dinner time is too early for visitors who are staying overnight. 6.No drinks and no nonveg food reduces the enjoyment of aged and matured groups. ( But it is choice and policy of the administration of jeevan agro farm) Overall a satisfactory experience.

Today 11 May 2025 I visited Janki Agro Tourism the place is located roughly 1 km from the Pune Bangalore highway. The road to the place was not good at all after reaching there the place was filled with a lot of people standing outside the ticket counter in a long queue as no online booking was accepted and many people were denied entry due to poor management. Entering the place with a morning package of 500rs from 10 am to 3 pm. Firstly they told us to have breakfast which was a limited one and if you asked something then you have to pay extra for it. The pool was congested and not a very attractive ride. The other activities were not that much interesting it was just minimalist. Overall it's OK OK type for a family trip.

Baramotichi Vihir, located in the quaint village of Limb in Satara district, Maharashtra, is a remarkable stepwell that dates back to 1641-1646. Commissioned by Virubai Bhosale, this architectural marvel was designed to provide water for approximately 300 nearby mango plantations. As you explore this hidden gem, you'll be captivated by its stunning craftsmanship and historical significance.
Baramotichi Vihir, located in Limb, Satara, is a stunning example of ancient engineering and architectural brilliance. Built in the 17th century by the descendants of Raja Bhoj, this stepwell is not just a water reservoir but also a symbol of Maratha heritage. The well, designed in an octagonal shape, has a grand entrance with beautifully carved stone steps leading down to the water. The intricate stonework and sturdy construction reflect the skill and craftsmanship of that era. The name *Baramotichi Vihir* comes from the twelve (Baramoti) moats or steps that surround the well, giving it a unique design. Visiting this place is like stepping back in time. The serene ambiance, cool interiors, and historical significance make it a must-visit for history buffs, photographers, and travelers alike. Whether you're interested in architecture, history, or just a peaceful retreat away from city life, Baramotichi Vihir is a hidden gem worth exploring.

No introduction needed for this iconic place—its rich history and cultural significance are already well-documented in countless reviews. For me, this was an unplanned, last-minute stop on the way to my hometown, but one that instantly brought back vivid memories from the movie Chhaava. The architecture is truly awe-inspiring, a reflection of the incredible craftsmanship of that era. If you’re passing through this area, this is definitely a must-visit spot that transports you to another time.

It’s a historical and ancient site showcasing impressive architecture. Located in a village about 3–4 km from the highway, the approach road isn’t in great condition. It’s recommended to read about the place beforehand or hire a local guide to fully understand its significance. The well could be better maintained and cleaned

What a fantastic muesum in small town of Aundh. This is great visionary museum and its very good museum crafted by Aundh sansthan and Maharashtra Government. You can spend almost half day here lots of painting and historical thing's are here. Each and every section is master piece here. Garden is good and ticket is only 10 ruppes. This whole building is spectacular. Must visit place for history and art lovers. Photography inside muesum is not allowed. So click only outside picture but its must visit place
GANESH J — Google review
A beautiful museum with very rare artifcats and many things to see. There are beautiful paintings and sculptures of various types by various artists. There are very beautiful metallic and ivory sculptures with intricate details. There are sandalwood carvings and also ancient papers. It's a shame that that the Government of Maharashtra which looks after this museum has not cared to check spelling mistakes in the labels under the paintings. Even Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's spelling is spelled wrong multiple times. This is not right for such a beautiful museum and such mistakes are not good when serious foreign tourists visit.
Nikhil G — Google review
Museum has more than 8,000 articles and 16,000 books including 3500 holy books (handwritten). Shrimant Balasaheb Maharaj studied the science of museum and constructed the present building with the help of foreign architects, considering natural light , ventilation and protection. Its great wonder to see the huge one man collection in such a rural area of the district. The scenic building of the museum situated on the slope of Aundh Hill, famous ‘Yamai Mandir’ is located at the top of hill with height approx. 800 ft. Aundh is 43 Kms from Satara, well connected by roads.
Milind B — Google review
Ticket price 10, no camera allowed, sculpture of Tibetan, Europe available, painting of Europe, North India, Tibetan, ancient painting, mythology painting available
Amit G — Google review
More than 500 paintings & 100s of monuments. Ancient cameras and what not. At least need 2 to 3 hours to explore the complete museum. No cameras or photoshoot allowed inside. The museum entrance is so photogenic and a garden itself. Also, ancient craved statues made of black stones like ajanta are kept under a shade. So that people could get in the vibe before entering the museum. Highly recommended. Must visit.
