Castle
Located on a hill overlooking Rivoli, the Castello di Rivoli is a restored 17th-century castle that now houses the Castello di Rivoli Museo d'Arte Contemporanea. Originally built as a fortified structure, it later became part of the Crown of Delights complex. The castle offers stunning views of the surrounding area and nearby city of Turin. Visitors can explore modern and contemporary art exhibitions within its historic walls, including both permanent and temporary collections.
What a great place to see the most amazing contemporary art! Simply mindblowing. Worth the detour. Beware of the (many) stairs though.

Amazing work on creating architecture around old castle! And exhibition… Like we felt in another universe and came back different person! Can’t wait to come back and see the park part renovated!!!

beautiful place and arts, the staffs are very friendly, accessible for person with disability, the chocolate cake in their cafe/resto is delicious, the backyard (sitting under the trees with Rivoli view) is very convinient to have a rest from this very hot weather.

Amazing experience totally recommend it!! The ticket was 4€ with student discount they gave us little notebooks as gifts. The whole palace and the art installation were really wonderful. It was a terrific experience to enjoy modern art in an ancient palace. And the view was also so beautiful
Helia S — Google review
I thought I liked modern art, but then visited this and not sure what to think
Ivan L — Google review
Great venue - the juxtaposition between the setting and the art was what made it. The art is not all top tier, but there is enough to maintain interest. A good way to spend a rainy day in Turin
Neil H — Google review
Yesterday morning I visited Castello di Rivoli for the first time, I must say with great difficulty due to the limited public transports. Enchanting place with a magical atmosphere, full of potential and fascinating installations inside beautiful frescoed historic rooms. Pleasant experience if it weren't for the very lack of professionalism of the person in charge of the ticket office. The lady was really unpleasant and rude, as well as speaking only her native language. I find that in an international museum the first business card is the welcome at the entrance. Otherwise, it's an excellent place to immerse yourself in history and contemporary art!
Katherine D — Google review
AKN is a great person of culture, but this castle 🏰 is a disaster. Really low information, the people working there follow you every time you leave the room. NOT RECOMMENDED

Casa del Conte Verde, also known as the House of the Green Count, was once the residence of Amedeo VI of Savoy and is now recognized for its arched facade and ever-changing displays showcasing Piemontese folk traditions and ethnography. The building's terracotta-framed windows and frieze adorned with figurines are a sight to behold. While closed on Mondays, its exterior alone is worth admiring.

The Cerruti Collection, located at Castello di Rivoli, is a truly indescribable experience that evokes powerful emotions. The collection was made possible through the generous donation of a philanthropist who dedicated their life to amassing precious works of art. Visitors are transported into the history of art and are left in awe of the beauty and significance of the pieces on display. The visit is highly recommended as it offers an unforgettable journey through art history.
Absolutely loved this hidden gem villa just a stone’s throw away from the Contemporary Art Museum of Rivoli. Absolutely worth every penny. Mr. Cerruti’s life story is just as mesmerising as his private collection - just to name a few: Renoir, Magritte, Ribera,Modigliani, Kandinsky, Picasso, De Chirico, Klee, Severini, Boccioni, Balla, Bacon, Fontana, Warhol, Paolini.

There is a guided tour, highly recommended, which explains well beyond the collected works, but the life and choices of the Torno collector of Genoese origins. An incredible treasure chest of works, especially from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, seen up close in their context, in a highly evocative house-museum. A fun experience for families. If child is under 6, I don't recommend as route is too short. 7.5 son could have completed the whole course, but was sadly unable to as he wasnt 9. (Translated by Google) We arrived at this truly beautiful place on a Saturday morning. There's ample parking. There are two agritourism establishments nearby. One is closed on Saturday lunchtime. I recommend booking well in advance or bringing a packed lunch, as there's a picnic area inside the park. There are various routes, for both adults and children. I found the price a bit high. They say the route takes 3 hours, but it can be done in 1 hour, but you can do it multiple times. For the little ones, there are 3 bouncy castles and 2 trampolines. The staff is very friendly and very good at explaining how to use the equipment!

(Translated by Google) The park is suitable for adults and children of all ages, with levels (up to age 6, only inflatables and a low-level course). From age 6, there are two courses, each with nine stages, each at a height of over 1.5 meters, which are not difficult and are concluded by long pulleys. From age 9 and 12, there are additional, more complex, high-level courses. The carabiner system is a bit dated, given the presence of a "frog" that is sometimes difficult to navigate through the joints, but the staff are available to help. There is enough time to repeat the available courses several times. There are excellent options for using the shaded picnic tables and sun loungers, and for purchasing drinks, ice cream, coffee, and snacks at the refreshment stand. Everything is very well maintained, with always clean restrooms and careful attention to waste separation. There is a QR code system in the trees to listen to the sounds of forest animals. Close to the trail to the center of Prali (10-15 minutes) or the walk to the waterfall, it's also a great spot for children to swim and play, given the very shallow and relatively still water. Very close to a farm with a restaurant and artisanal ice cream parlor, with horses, llamas, and farm animals (rabbits, geese, ducks, etc.) that children can interact with. Ample parking with an additional picnic area.

The Obelisco di Beccaria, commissioned in 1760 by King Carlo Emanuele III of Savoy, stands as a remarkable tribute to the work of Giovanni Battista Beccaria. He meticulously calculated Turin's geographical coordinates using two measuring points along the "Stradone di Francia." One point is located in Piazza Statuto, while the other is at a bustling roundabout in Rivoli.

Michele R — Google review
(Translated by Google) In 1760 Giovanni Battista Beccaria was commissioned by King Carlo Emanuele III of Savoy to calculate the geographical coordinates of Turin, and to do so he used two measuring points which he placed at the two ends of the 13 kilometers of the "Stradone di Francia". He defined one in Turin in Piazza Statuto, the other in Rivoli, in what is currently the large and busy roundabout that closes Corso Francia. Using those two points as a trigonometric basis he detected that the 45th parallel passed through Piazza Statuto, right halfway between the Equator and the North Pole, carrying out measurements and calculations of great precision as far as the instruments of the time allowed. The original marble memorial stones placed by Beccaria were forgotten and buried over time, and were brought to light only at the beginning of the 19th century, at the behest of Napoleon who had two commemorative obelisks erected above them, surmounted by an astrolabe. For this reason the position of the one in Piazza Statuto is not very certain, because in the forty years preceding the erection of the obelisk the area was the subject of numerous excavations and repaving. The original stone from Rivoli, however, is almost certainly located exactly where Beccaria placed it, and the obelisk that rose above it is not only better maintained but also escaped the urban legends that would have it be the Turin "summit" of imaginary magic triangles.

(Translated by Google) Let's start with the site: it is very clear and allows you to easily book a visit. At the chosen time you are welcomed by the guides into the house, and then you dive into Carena's life and works: it is a pleasure to listen to them as they narrate the artist's pictorial language in the various phases of his life, and this is because their passion shines through in their words. Thank you for guiding me and my father in this little/big artistic corner.
