The Jim Corbett Museum is located in the former home of conservationist Jim Corbett, situated on the tiger reserve named in his honor. It's a popular stop during a visit to the Jim Corbett National Park. The museum offers an insightful look into Corbett's life and legacy, showcasing artifacts and information about his adventures and dedication to wildlife conservation. Visitors can explore exhibits detailing his childhood, family history, and work experience. The museum also features personal items such as furniture used by Corbett.
The Jim Corbett Museum is a great place to spend 1–2 hours learning about the history and fascinating facts of Corbett National Park. I visited there on Friday and morning and spends 1-2 hours with my kids knowing about history of Corbett national park. The museum is well-maintained and features preserved tiger sculptures along with their original skins, accompanied by details about their causes of death. Museum offer a visual screen shows to know behaviour of animals and various attractions that engage children, helping them learn about birds, animals, and their sounds. Ticket price is rupees hundred which is worth… I recommend to visit Corbett museum to explore and know about history of Jim Corbett nation park.. Have a great learning visit

The first thing I want to mention here is that this museum is different from the Dhangarhi Museum. In Dhangadhi, the museum is especially good to visit with kids, and you can find there real skin of tigers, leopards, and elephants showcased. Here in the Jim Corbett Museum, this is the winter residence of Col. Jim Corbett, which is now converted into a museum. Here you can see some of his crockery, his furniture, and a camera obscura used by Corbett. The house is well maintained and clean. There is a souvenir shop where some textiles, keychains, and books written by Corbett are also available. You can see the grave of his two dogs who stayed with him while hunting. The price of ticket is 100 per person and free for kids.
Sachin M — Google review
Okayish museum to learn about the life and upbringing of Jim Corbett. It's not much of a museum but rather images on display. I expected to see ancient artifacts, maybe the tools / guns he used to hunt etc. For the price they charge (100/- per ticket), the experience isn't very immersive. There are two small huts / cottages with pictures inside and in one you can see empty shelves that were probably gun racks before. The vicinity of the museum houses a souvenir shop which has a nice collection of T shirts, caps, local spices etc. Nice touch.
Gaurav G — Google review
Jim Corbett Museum – A Quiet Tribute, Best for Enthusiasts Housed in the former winter home of Jim Corbett and his sister, this modest museum offers a nostalgic glimpse into the life and legacy of the legendary conservationist. Entry is ₹100 per person, and the museum is essentially a self-guided walk through a few rooms and an outhouse, each showcasing old photographs, personal artifacts, and stories from the Corbett family’s life. There’s no modern tech or interactive exhibits, and the upkeep—both indoors and on the lawns—is average at best. It’s a one-time visit, best suited for those who deeply admire Jim Corbett as a personality. If you skip it, you’re not missing anything extraordinary. For those driving in, private parking is conveniently available opposite the gate for ₹50..
Suryakant P — Google review
Audio video, visuals make it more convenient, some portions cover with Air conditioning environment make it comfortable visiting. Ticket pricing for more than 12 year is of 100 rs only, worth to visit, outside area good for videos
Naved A — Google review
This place was really good. It's a digital museum you get to enjoy information and jungle sounds. Very good place to visit with kids.
Richa N — Google review
I had different expectations when I heard about the Jim Corbett Museum. In reality, it's not a traditional museum . it's actually the house where Jim Corbett lived during his tenure. The site mainly preserves his personal history, including articles, books, and memorabilia. Beyond that, there's not much to explore. The entry fee is ₹100 per person, which feels a bit steep considering the limited exhibits and overall experience. I’d recommend visiting only if you're genuinely interested in learning about Jim Corbett’s life and legacy. Otherwise, it’s something you can skip, entirely your choice.

Jim Corbett belongings are there his hat his coat tables and many other things and a souvenir shop of Jim original publications. Recommend to visit to have least knowledge of the person on whose name whole Jim Corbett trip one planned.

Museum
Dhangarhi Gate and Museum is a popular attraction in Jim Corbett National Park, located near the Dhangarhi Gate. The museum serves as an introduction to the park, showcasing area history exhibits and wildlife displays. Visitors can explore hunted wild animals on display and shop for souvenirs at the gift shop. Additionally, there is a 3D show inside the museum that provides insight into the park's wildlife.
Visited Dhangarhi Gate and Museum before our safari in Jim Corbett – a great experience overall! The museum is small but informative, with displays of local wildlife, old photographs, and even weapons used by Jim Corbett himself. It’s a good place to understand the history and ecology of the park before entering the forest. The 3D show and some of the exhibits are quite engaging, especially for kids. There’s also a small souvenir shop with books and local handicrafts. One thing that could be improved is the lighting inside the activity area—during the evening, it's quite dim and visibility drops a lot, probably around 50%. Also, the food options nearby are limited and could use some improvement in both variety and quality. Still, it's a worthwhile stop if you’re entering through the Dhangarhi Gate. Adds meaning to the safari experience

Nice museum at the Dhangarhi gate of Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. You get to know about the flora and fauna of the park. There are a couple of exhibitions, including a night time scene of the forest which was quite good. The 3D show was just ok, it needs improvement in both content and quality. There are a few stuffed carcasses of tigers, leopards and a few other animals which are interesting and more so if you haven't seen the real ones. Kids will surely like the museum. The ticket price is ₹100 and approx one hour is sufficient to spend in the museum. Overall must visit if interested in wildlife and forest.
Gaurav N — Google review
Dhangarhi Gate & Museum is a worthwhile stop for anyone visiting Jim Corbett National Park — whether wildlife enthusiast, family, history‑lover, or casual tourist. It offers a compact, friendly, and informative experience: not overhyped, but with enough substance to make you appreciate the park, animals, and Corbett’s legacy more deeply. If you expect something very high‑end (immersive VR, extensive interactive scientific displays, luxury infrastructure), this may not meet those expectations, but for its purpose — introduction, education, and orientation — it does its job well. Especially good for kids or casual visitors, and ideal to visit early in a trip or even on non‑safari days.

Girija Devi Temple is a quaint and serene temple located on a hilltop overlooking the Kosi River. Accessible by a pedestrian river footbridge, it sits amidst scenic forested surroundings, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Despite its small size, the temple's serene ambiance and decked up idol of Devi make it a compelling destination for visitors.
This temple is available in a beautiful location near Dhikuli. It is a riversideview where you can enjoy swimming as well, being careful with children. Established 8-10 km from Ramnagar town, this temple is quite old and famous. You need to climb around 50-60 stairs to go there. After that you can enjoy the riverside view and click some really wonderful pictures. 4 KM away there is the Dhangarhi museum, which is a bonus for kids. Both places are must visit if you are going to Ramnagar or Jim Corbett National Park.

Garjiya Devi Temple in Ramnagar is truly a hidden gem! The location is absolutely beautiful, and being right by the riverside adds a serene charm to the whole experience. It’s not just a spiritual place but also an awesome spot for a picnic with family and friends. However, one concern I had was the littering around the river. It takes away from the natural beauty and peaceful vibe of the area. I really hope visitors become more responsible, and some proper dustbins and awareness signs are put up. Also, having toilets easily accessible below the bridge would be a great help. It would ensure cleanliness in the temple premises and make the overall experience even better. Highly recommend visiting, but let’s all do our part to keep this place clean and beautiful!

This is a beautiful temple located by the riverside, surrounded by a serene and scenic environment. The location is excellent, and you can even take a bath or play in the river. To reach the Devi, you’ll need to climb some steep steps, but it’s truly worth it. An excellent place to visit, though weekends can get crowded.”

A truly memorable moment at one of the best temples—beginning with divine darshan and receiving the sacred prashad. After offering prayers, sitting peacefully by the riverside brings unmatched calm. The crystal-clear water flows gently, so pure you can even drink it. A perfect blend of devotion and serenity.

I have visited this place during my visit to Ramnagar. I have not visited the temple inside so can't comment on it but it has big lines to go inside the temple. Beside that there is a beautiful river which is must visit place. There you can take bath in water and devour with Maggie and basic food which is really a good place for hangout with friends and family.

Visiting the Girija Devi Temple🛕 was truly a peaceful and serene experience. Nestled amidst natural beauty, the temple offers a spiritual retreat like no other. Situated on top of a small hillock in the middle of the Kosi River, the temple’s unique location adds to its charm and sacred aura🏔️🏞️ To reach the temple, one must climb a steep staircase, which can be a bit challenging but ultimately rewarding. The panoramic view from the top, coupled with the divine atmosphere, makes the effort worthwhile. Devotees come here to seek the blessings of Devi Girija, and the temple exudes a strong sense of devotion and tranquility🌿🌷 ❗️During peak travel seasons and holidays, expect long queues and a fair amount of waiting. The narrow passage and steep steps can make the ascent difficult, especially for senior citizens or those with mobility issues. It's advisable to avoid the climb if you have any health concerns related to walking or climbing. 💫Overall, the Girija Devi Temple is a must-visit for spiritual seekers and those looking to experience natural beauty along with divinity. A small but beautifully located ancient temple in the middle of river on small but steep rock. Lots of devotees visit this auspicious temple to pray and offer their offerings. Especially on Friday, there is heavy rush and even long Q for devotees to have darshan of Garjiya Mata. People first bathe in river below and then proceed for mandir to have darshan but due to thi, the pure river is highly polluted and there is no check on it by any local authority.

Great location on the Ramganga River approx 30km from the gate inside the jungle. Pretty remote. Rooms are spartan but comfortable. Food is vegetarian only (very tasty) and no alcohol is permitted. One beef I did have is that two of my travelling companions, after the first night, were asked to vacate their rooms and relocate. This was rather annoying as they were paid several months in advance and should not have been given to others. A staff member confided in me and told me this happens regularly when foreign tourists are relocated for locals visiting the park. Quite rude I think. One of our group members is in his late 70s and was given a room with no shower, only a bucket and cup, and several hundred metres further from the main block where the food was served and cars assembled for safari. Very poor management.

Just returned from Dhikala. Thanks for such a wonderful experience. We stayed in Sultan rest house. The best part was our driver Naem. For the entire three days, he acted as our big brother. He arranged for all food material raw items and was always ready to help in the jungle. Driving in the jungle is a skilful job and Naem is just perfect. He literally chased the animal calls and finally we were able to spot the tiger. Very Very good experience.

Hi had booked 2 safaris one was morning safari in bijrani and evening in jhirna. In both the safaris our tour operator Mr Faheem Ahmed was just amazing. In morning safari we experienced wonderful jungle with animals like deers, peacock, etc but no tiger. We were overwhelmed when we sighted tiger in evening safari in jhirna not once not twice but 6 times. Thanks to our wonderful tour operator who droved the car with his experience of the past. He exactly knew the movement of the tiger and followed him through the jungle and made us view the amazing Bengal tiger crossing the road just infront of us. With this view if tiger our journey to jim corbett became successful. Thanks to the agency - jim corbett travels and super amazing operator - faheem ahmed

I recently returned from an incredible Safari experience with Jim Corbett Travels and I must say they very professional in every aspect. Witnessed the most amazing sightseeing including couple of beautiful Tigers and elephants. It was a magical experience. My driver Naeem is an experienced driver and guide and extremely knowlegeable, patient with all the questions and it was such a joy to travel with him. I booked 4 safaris (2 night stay at Sultan FRH) and In my first 2 safaris I did not see anything but Naeem worked really hard and with his experience and knowledge, I finally managed to capture 2 tigers in 3rd safari and what a thrilling experience it was while chasing. The entire team of Jim Corbett Travels took utmost care and managed the whole trip/itinerary in a fantastic way. I HIGHLY recommed anyone planning a Safari trip to Dhikala to contact Tasleem ji at Jim Corbett Travels and request them for Driver Naeem and you will not be disappointed. Now planning my second trip with the same team…..Love & blessings….

Hindu temple
Nestled along the serene banks of the Kosi River, Shri Hanuman Dham is a captivating Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. This sacred site in Ramnagar is not just a place of worship but also a tranquil retreat for those seeking spiritual solace. The temple's stunning architecture, highlighted by an arched gateway adorned with two fishes symbolizing prosperity and fortune, draws visitors from far and wide.
The dham cannot be described in words . You will feel presence of divine power here . The Aarti and Pooja is out of this world experience. Must visit for blessings of Bhagwan Shri Hanuman ji. Bajrangbali ji ki Jai

Hanuman Dham, located in the serene town of Ramnagar, Uttarakhand, is a beautifully designed spiritual destination dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Nestled amidst the lush greenery and foothills of the Himalayas, the dham offers a peaceful and divine atmosphere for devotees and visitors alike. The architecture of Hanuman Dham is stunning, blending traditional Hindu temple design with intricate carvings and colorful murals that depict scenes from the Ramayana. The main idol of Lord Hanuman is awe-inspiring and exudes a strong spiritual presence. Surrounding gardens, meditation areas, and clean premises enhance the overall experience. This is not just a temple but a place for reflection, prayer, and connecting with nature. Whether you're a devotee or a traveler looking for a quiet, scenic spot with cultural significance, Hanuman Dham is worth a visit.

I recently visited Shri Hanuman Dhan Chhoi, located about 6 km from Ramnagar, and I must say it is truly a divine and enriching experience. The journey may feel a bit challenging, as the road has several potholes and is not in the best condition, but the destination is absolutely worth it. The moment you arrive, you can feel the spiritual energy and positivity of the place. It’s not just a visit, it’s an opportunity to gain knowledge about Hindu traditions, devotion, and cultural heritage. The peaceful environment, along with the aura of Lord Hanuman’s presence, makes it a place where mind and soul both find peace. For anyone traveling near Ramnagar, I highly recommend visiting Shri Hanuman Dhan Chhoi. Despite the road conditions, the experience you receive here is priceless and unforgettable. A must-visit for devotees, tourists, and anyone seeking a deeper connection with Hinduism and spirituality.

Gairal Forest Lodge is a popular accommodation option in Corbett, offering a unique charm amidst the dense jungles of the area. While it may be rugged and remote, its location near the core zone of the forest and adjacent to the river provides an unparalleled experience for nature enthusiasts. The lodge's canteen serves delicious food that exceeds expectations, making it a great choice for families or solo travelers looking to immerse themselves in the wilderness.
Great stay in Room No:4, on 4 Fed 25. It has a Good, clean room and a bathroom. It is right on the bank of the river Ram Ganga. One has to drive nearly an hour up to Dikaka for the safari but the forest was great!
Soundar K — Google review
Its in the midst of the Jungle, by the river . Very serene and beautiful location and it stops there, rooms are filled with bugs, not maintained well and literally no service attitude by the staff. We have been charged so high, still basic needs like running water, cleanliness in the rooms , broken windows and doors welcome you to the property. There is a canteen, which does not display the price list of the items and will charge you a hefty bill during check out , beware. The kitchen is extremely dirty
Sharath H — Google review
Had a great experience at Gairal FRH. Its near the core zone of the forest and just adjacent to the river. We could spot fish and other animals around the river. Food in the canteen was great and exceeded our expectations. If you are traveling with family its recommended to book the room instead of the dormitory.
Aayush G — Google review
Very old building. Not maintained properly. Toilets are not clean and the dormitory is congested. No electricity after 10 p.m. water is pumped from the nearby river and it is muddy. Not suitable for washing and bathing. Insects rush into the room in the night. Food is very expensive, e.g. one meal with two curries cost Rs.400 ! 1 coffee Rs.80!! No drinking water is provided. No internet or network coverage. Not recommended. It is advised to stay at the main Dhikala zone where accommodation is better. However, for those who want to experience a real jungle atmosphere, it is ok.
Life V — Google review
Great experience of staying in Gairal FRH. Very quite, covered with jungle and sound of flowing Ramganga river is relaxing. Staff and canteen food is very testy.
Nemkumar D — Google review
This was my favourite guest house by far because of the remoteness. However, it is rugged. Remoteness comes at a price. We visited in December and the clouds had come in. The solar cells weren't charging so we had no water for showers or lights at night. It was also cold and there is no heating in the rooms (no power = no heat) so you stayed warm under blankets. The food was great but limited in options so you fill your metal tray in the dark with what appears appetising in the glare of your flashlight. I loved it. This was the perfect place for a guy like me. But if you read this review and what a large variety of culinary choices, warm showers, light, etc... maybe this isn't the place for you. If you are someone that loves to camp, roughing it isn't a hardship and you don't need your food prepared a certain way this is the place for you.
Martin F — Google review
An absolutely wonderful experience - no electricity post 0900 pm. But it is pretty cool in summers as well. The location of this Forest Lodge is its main attraction. The accommodation is good though we felt that the food options for the price paid was below par. But no complaints at all.
Randal W — Google review
This lodge in the heart of the Jim Corbett national park under Dhikala zone is well maintained. The rooms are neat and clean. The food served is good and the service is excellent. The lodge runs on solar power and is situated on the banks of river Ramganga. A very serene place.
