Roseau, Dominica skyline: the 19 most iconic buildings and best views in Roseau

Wasn’t much of a Gardens. Was more like a park. Was sort of kept up. Few flowers or special plants. Had some old beautiful trees. Interesting walk up from the Cruise ship pier. No ticket required.

Large variety of trees and flowering shrubs from Caribbean and elsewhere. Some are labelled. While not highly manicured or a fancy design with formal gardens or statues and fountains, this is a free admission nice place to relax and explore. While uncrowded and spacious, we saw a good number of people enjoying the park, Moms with kids sitting on benches (wish I could sit here with my dear Mom), people recreating, etc. We enjoyed this park and checking out the fine trees young and old. It’s easy to walk here from your lodging in downtown Roseau. Dominica thanks for providing this nice garden.

This was an excursion from the cruise terminal in Roseau Dominica. the drive there was very interesting with busy narrow roads and some steep hills. Lovely trees and a parrot compound but not much of gardens with flowers, more of a park than anything, and of course the bus under a tree. The view from the Morne Bruce above was beautiful as was the view from the cruise ship.

We enjoyed the trail from the botanical gardens up to the top of Morne Bruce known as Jack’s Walk. See scan code in pics.Beautiful view of the whole city and ocean. Walk took us about 30 mins. with lots of stops to rest as it is quite steep ( we are in our 60’s ).

Our tour guide gave us great information about many of the plants. It is very interesting and worth a visit. It was so lucky there weren't any school children on the bus at the time the tree fell during a hurricane 😳

An array of beautiful plants. It's a most visit on your trip to Dominica. Nice place to have a picnic in the middle of town. Try it! Get some local food and just vibe out amo g the trees. Yes! It's free!

A lovely display for tourists and locals alike! Sadly, our visit here was rather short due to being part of a cruise excursion, more time would have been nice. We did get to walk among the shady trees and see some native parrots. Fascinating to see the tree that fell years ago in a hurricane with a bus still under it. Lots of fun and unusual trees and plants.

Awesome view of Roseau. Great picnic area, with some slight upgrades it will be perfect!

Small and informative local museum providing an overview of the founding of Dominica. 5$ us entrance fee.

We enjoyed our visit here. Head up the stairs to the 2nd floor and pay the posted $3 US per person to enter (I see another review says $5 US so maybe there are seasonal differences?). Staff quietly pleasant and welcoming enough. The exhibits are not fancy but provide a good amount of information on Dominica’s history, culture, people, geology, and flora. There are historical photos, artifacts like a dugout canoe, and art. To me, the creators have done a wonderful job of providing info in summary form fit for a wide span of audience interests. I believe that most folks will spend 30 to 60 minutes here. Please check out my photos herein.

When visiting Roseau, go to the Dominica museum. It is worth the $3usd to understand the history of the island.

It's so much fun! Inexpensive and a great place to learn and view historic information about the island.

I learned a few new things! Nice collection however would be good to use a museum expert to redecorate everything. It could be displayed and explained so much better.

Good range of information and friendly staff. A lot of the displays have aged a bit. Would also be nice to see some more recent history and information about significant people from Dominica.

Disappointed Experience as a Loyal Customer I'm a regular KFC customer, placing multiple orders weekly. (Yes, I have a stove at home, but with my tight schedule, cooking can be challenging — and thankfully, my two online jobs allow me to indulge in ordering out as pleased.) While I've had multiple issues in the past — forgotten items, missing sauces, not enough mayo on the toasted twisters, or mixing up original for spicy and so on— I’ve never left a negative review. But tonight pushed me to speak up. I placed an order online tonight, but it said the transaction didn’t go through. However, my card was still charged. No big deal, I thought — I called the first number listed on the website and waited on hold for five minutes without any response. (Side note: please fix that!) I tried the second number, and thankfully someone picked up. The supervisor was kind and clear, instructing me to WhatsApp my name, location, order details, and a screenshot of the charge. I sent everything over, but after waiting with just one tick for a while, then two ticks — still no response. I called multiple times that night with no answer. Now here I am, over an hour later, no food, no follow-up, and still hungry. This experience is genuinely disappointing. Update : No one contacted or responded to me for the rest of the night or the following day!! I kept calling until a delivery driver finally answered and mentioned that the supervisor was "in a meeting" but would get back to me later. The supervisor never reached out. Around 7 PM — 24 hours later — I called again and was told my order had been refunded. I asked why the refund was issued without informing me and why no one had responded to my messages or calls. In the end, I never received my food. 0/10 for customer service. While KFC food is great, the service needs serious improvement!! Update2: The KFC refund reflected after a whole week. Thanks, I guess....

I ordered 6 thigh spicy, 2 fries, and a corn. I didn't get any napkin and no ketchup. All the 6 pieces of thighs was not properly marinade they had no taste of season no salt etc only slight pepper nothing much, was barely spicy.

So, This KFC has a limited seat available. The quality of the original recipe chicken is okay,but not as juicy as the one served in Japan. The ketchup is very very limited. By then 3 star is enough.

In the early morning between 9 and 11am the service is pretty good. Unfortunately once lunch hour hits the service takes a bit of a decline due to the increased number of customers. However, a little patience and understanding will take you a long way.

One of the cheapest KFC I've been to in terms of price vs quantity. Taste really nice when compared to one the best KFC which is in St. Kitts, lol

On my last visit to KFC the experience was very poor. This is how my meal was packed 😩 honey BBQ mix with original chicken. There was no separation and everyone knows honey BBQ is a messy meal.

Long lines all the time - needs a better system for taking orders (kiosks or online ordering would do well at this location; they make enough money to afford that change). Do yourself a favor and try a local spot with healthier/better food instead of this place

Because the old cathedral is undergoing a lethargic repair this is where masses are celebrated. Hours: Monday to Friday 6am. Saturday 6pm. Sunday 7am and 9am
