State park
Park
Wenatchee Confluence State Park, located in Wenatchee, Washington, is a 197-acre park offering a variety of recreational activities. The park features wetlands, grassy areas with shade, sports fields, a roped-off river swim beach, boat launch and camping facilities. Visitors can enjoy viewing wildlife such as muskrats and beavers in the area.
Amazing campground! So clean, well maintained, large pull-thru sites, big grassy areas, paved walkway, playground and full hookups for our site #56! Dog friendly! Highly recommend.
Crystal B — Google review
Our first visit to Confluence state park. We were in a pull thru with full hookups at site 7. First the sites are a good distance from each other and the outside loop feels like you are in your own park, grass from the tent pad out to the park boundry. Very clean sites was our first impression and nice picnic pads as well. The park is where the Wenatchee and Columbia rivers meet making for some beautiful scenery as well as abundant wild life everywhere. This is a year round site and would be great in late fall as well as early spring. We were treated to 75 degrees in late April. Lots of biking and walking trails as well as a large green grassy day use area. We highly recommend!
Bill F — Google review
I really liked this state park. It is fairly large & very well maintained & clean. We walked through the campground which looked very nice also. The Apple Capital Recreation Loop trail is right there if you want to get a good walk in. The beach area was lovely also. There is a bridge over the Wenatchee River where you can see it going into the Columbia River. Also, check out the gravel trail & you can see lots of nature there. Saw bald eagles & several ospreys. I'm a fan of Wenatchee in general, so I really enjoyed this park.

Amazing place to stay. The weather is awesome. Not much dry and humid. The cleanness level is 100%.

So we have been on an epic road trip this summer. We are on day 65. We're just about to 15,000, MI. We've been left. Nevada went through Arizona, Utah, Montana, Canada, Alaska back down through Canada now in Washington state. While it's been an epic trip, I've got to say that this park has been one of the most amazing parts of it. Just a beautiful place. Tons of shade. Plenty of room between sites. Really really nice staff and rangers cannot say enough good about it.
Rob B — Google review
Came very late at night to empty the septic tank in preparation for a trip. Easy access to pump out station which was well lighted¹. Fee is $5 with park pass or $15.00 without. Envelopes and all pertinent park information is posted at the park check-in booth.

Huge park with a great location close to town. Super clean and well kept Great water access lots of grass areas super spot for beach or river view picnic.

So much fun, great park, easy water access, and today, two planes were landing and taking off on the water over and over – it was so cool to see from our paddleboards!

Washington Park is a delightful oasis that offers a perfect blend of relaxation and recreation. With its towering trees providing ample shade, it’s an ideal spot for summer picnics, especially with the newly remodeled shelter equipped with numerous picnic tables and convenient restrooms. Families can enjoy the playground featuring swings and playful triceratops figures, while the serene atmosphere makes it a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle.
Old park with huge trees and lots of shade. Newly remodeled shelter for picnics, on-site restrooms, and a few picnic tables scattered about. There is also a playground with 6 swings, a slide, and a few other places to play, including two triceratops figures. There is also a fountain that very rarely has water, but makes for a nice centerpiece all the same. It is also very rarely used with few people so it is rather peaceful.
Adam M — Google review
Dog loved it. I lived near it when I was a college student. I have always been fond of this little park
Susan B — Google review
It's always a great park to take your kids to nice little play ground and lots of seating for adults
Thomas C — Google review
What is the point of having a bathroom and not have it open. Forcing both kids and adults to pee on the nearest tree. Get it together Wenatchee. 🤦🏼‍♂️ the play equipment is nice. As well as the grass. I suppose we pee down the slides?
Zachariah R — Google review
Love it cause of all the trees. So it doesn't get too hot in the summer.

Cozy. It has lots of conifers and other trees. Single person restrooms w/locking doors. It has a great shelter. Nice sized probably 15 picnic tables in there. Multiple outlets. No water. There is a washing pool that is seldom used. Light on toys but great for up to 3rd graders. Swings. Enough open field to play a game of soccer, light practice, frisbee something like that. My kids all to go there. Cool on a hot day

Ok. I took my 8 year old here at noon on a Saturday afternoon. It was vacant (or so it appeared) I was watching my little guy move through the children’s big toy and as he was working his way to the top of this toy, I noticed there was a man or an older teen in the “crows nest” of this big toy! I yelled for my son to “get down now” as my son walked away with me, he asked “why wouldn’t you let me go up top?” I told him “ there was a man up there!” I looked back as I put my boy in the car and could see the man smoking something in what looked like tinfoil! Very sketch! Parents beware! Next stop was Walla Walla much safer more of a family vibe

It's a great place to take a walk, enjoy the waterfront with family. The Pybus public Market is within walkable distance from here and there's plenty of parking.
Sijeeta D — Google review
Amazing splash park! Park is clean, there’s a nice pathway to walk/ride if you feel the urge but we spent the entire time splashing away.
Stephanie — Google review
Great variety of plants. Labelled well. Scenery is gorgeous. You can see rivers and mountains.
HW C — Google review
This riverfront park is right on the Columbia river, it has a paved easy to navigate track for walking or bike riding. Made it really easy for strollers and wagons if you have kids and need to have easy terrain for their needs. Not far from a public market if you need a snack or to get out of the heat or sun for small children. Definitely recommend if your in the area or just passing through for a break while driving.
Cliff M — Google review
Nice place to spend some time walking running or bike riding also encouraged.
Michael J — Google review
Gorgeous sculptures, clean level pathways, several sandy beach areas, to s of grassy areas, walking and biking trail combined. Safe and fun for all ages and speeds. Great playground, small train for the kiddos and even the Wenatchee Rowing & Paddle Club located here. I had a beautiful 5 mile run along the river.
Katherine V — Google review
Beautifully decorated with many flowers tress shrubs which have the name plates of all of them. It’s well kept and brings little knowledge of flora.. there’s water access here too . The dog was happy in the shaded lush grass. We brought lunch and enjoyed a nice walk. Paths is concrete so bring your wheeled whatever.

Walla Walla Point Park, situated on the Columbia River in Wenatchee, WA, spans 70 acres and offers a variety of recreational activities. The park features playgrounds, sports courts for softball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. Visitors can enjoy paved riverside trails with picturesque mountain views and access to the Apple Capital Recreation Loop Trail. Gorgeous long (paved) walks along the river, also perfect for bike rides. Well maintained and really lovely. The photo is a view from my walk.

We visited Wenatchee for an ice hockey tournament and noticed this park across the street and made a quick visit. The facilities are excellent, nice paved trails, beautiful grass and trees, nice view of sand bar and river, well kept horseshoes courts, tennis courts, beach volleyball courts, and playground. All neat and clean. Many well spaced picnic tables, also a picnic pavilion for groups, all looked pretty new. It’s a gem of a park.
GT H — Google review
Honestly, we’ve been to a town of parks, but this is easily in the top 4 of all parks! A beautiful walk along the river, where the park is very well kept and maintained. Folks were out jogging, biking and walking, and not a single issue. There’s a little bit of everything for anyone who is looking for something to do, from horseshoes to volleyball to even some light swimming or fishing. This park is a hidden treasure and a true gem!
Chris L — Google review
Fun with hoops at one of the best Wenatchee parks! Epic Dance Studio had a popup set up with aerials, music, mat work and my favorite... hula hoops!!
PRM D — Google review
We spent a few days here for a softball tournament and the park is very clean with good fields, despite the grass being a little long in the outfield. Clean bathrooms and covered picnic areas. The playground is really nice. Sand volleyball was awesome and a ton of fun. My only complaint is the swimming area because it is really mucky and gross. We still had fun, just try to avoid putting your bare feet in the muck.
Mackenzie N — Google review
Likely the best park to visit walk and let one’s dog “be a dog here.” It has several easy access to the cold cooling water for everyone to enjoy kids dogs anyone who hot! Some shady spots had sand , dirt and gravel terrains. Things with wheels were useable but not easy in some parts. Saw little wildlife. Snakes, porcupines etc so that’s good!

This is a beautiful spot. We passed by it on our way home from Montana to stretch our legs. The walk is short and there are some historical explanations behind the Gorge. I highly recommend you stop at the scenic view point at exit 139. The only reason I took a star away was due to some litter on the ground.

Pioneer Park, located in Washington state, hosted the Apple Capital Swim Meet and offers a rare 10-lane 50m pool. Although not very deep, the pool lacks ideal starting blocks and is generally slower compared to others. However, its prime location boasts a pleasant surrounding park with ample shade and a refreshing breeze to keep attendees cool during breaks between their children's events.
It is a beautiful playground with built in stadium . Washroom facilities and plenty of parking space is provided.
Satyakumar K — Google review
Two workers sit in a truck with a pressure washer in the back doing nothing while there's what looks blood in the skate park track, and directly on the other side of the building are exposed wires. Nice work... I think we can do better
Debbie H — Google review
Lots of families. Seemed like a nice safe park with a great variety of activities. A nice park for a picnic with lots of shade. Check it out!
Paul D — Google review
Nice inner city park 🏞️. I remember as a kid using the fire pit in the corner to make hot dogs and s'mores. A lot of good memories going to the sea first bank Seattle supersonics basketball camp as a kid, met Gary Payton 🏀. Later on they built the skate park and I think that was a great addition 😎
Shawn N — Google review
Was here for the Apple Capital Swim Meet. Hard to find a 10-lane 50m pool in WA, let alone an outdoor one. The pool isn't very deep, so not the best starting blocks, and generally a bit slower than others. But great location, especially the surrounding park which has lots of shade and a nice breeze to keep you cool while waiting for your kid's next event.
Tomasz K — Google review
Pioneer park has been around for years . I remember going as a kid to the city pool (that's in the park) every summer. There's tables for picnicing, toys for kids, and a fairly new skateboard area for the bigger kids. Ample parking and clean restrooms. I take my grandkids to play there.
Sherrell C — Google review
I remember my earliest years, coming to places like Pioneer Park, and having a child hood full of good times. Today: smaller trees, no City Pool, a couple of kids in the Skate Park, less shade. When I was a kid, the whole park was shaded, there were these giant great big'O grandfather trees.
El D — Google review
It's an all around good park. Skateboarding bowls and rails. Lots of shade, 1 big area for large parties with lots of tables. Outlets don't work. Free WiFi sometimes. City pool is there restrooms and a modest playground. Popular with locals.

Very small park with paved corner on cross streets with two benches, covered picnic shelter, restroom (no privacy doors), watered lawn, sculpture of salmon with rabbit and two benches under a tree on top of a small hill. Benches on top of the hill are soaking wet after the lawn is watered, and it is watered mid-day, so sitting in the grass isn't advised as you WILL get wet. No picnic tables at shelter, one garbage can chained to shelter. Shelter is rentable and was donated by the Rotary Club.

During a recent visit for a wedding, I couldn't resist stopping by the iconic Skyline Drive View Point, also known as "PCKER POINT." It was heartwarming to return to this familiar spot that holds so many memories. The breathtaking views remain just as stunning as I remembered, and the upgraded parking facilities make it even more accessible for visitors. It's a perfect place to soak in nature's beauty!
Grew up here, came through for a wedding and had to go visit the old "P£CKER POINT" . Same beautiful view and upgraded parking. Nice!

Saddle Rock Gateway Parking is a fantastic starting point for your outdoor adventures. Nestled in a stunning desert brush landscape, it offers multiple trails to explore. You can choose to hike up the moderately challenging incline to Saddleback Mountain or opt for a more leisurely stroll along the flat path right across from the parking area. For those looking for an additional adventure, there’s also access to the Dry Gulch Preserve trail at the back of the lot.
Proclaimed to you Daddy!

Desert brush lanscape with multiple paths to strike out on. You can hike up a moderately difficult incline to saddleback mountain top or take the mostly flat path directly opposite the parking lot. Finally, at the back of the parking lot, there is a trail leading shortly to a Dry Gulch Preserve trail. It appears there was once a fence but it has been removed. There are signs posted stating cameras are in the lot. There is a public restroom and parking is free. We walked a little ways in shortly before the days end, so I can't speak towards how far Dry Gulch trail goes. It was fairly easy with only beginner level uphill climbs the mile or so in we traversed. I'm sure, during the mid day heat, walking here can be extremely uncomfortable. There were still plenty of blooming , wild alfalfa, as well as a sumac, big leaf sagebrush among other varieties, arrowroot balsam, with spent flowers and birds and harmless "garden" snakes aplenty. During the cooler part of the day this is a great place to get outside.

Such an amazing experience! We did our wedding here and Samantha Segaline who runs the place, got all the tables and chairs set up beautifully and a dance floor too with microphones and speakers. It took out all the tedious and stressful work on the day of the wedding and it all came with the package. We were able to do photography months before the wedding for engagement photos and then for our wedding three hours before: they were very accommodating for all our needs. The food delivery ran smoothly as they had an accessible spot for food and for other accessibility needs like grandparents. So beautiful, loved it. Would recommend to anyone: very affordable.

It's a wonderful experience. There is a provision for a wedding celebration in this place . We got the chance to see on wedding celebration when we visit this place. There is a sig sag walk paved with rocky stones and several water ponds in between. There are several viewpoints to enjoy the flowing of Chellan River and far away mountains. Entry is restricted by 8$ . Senior citizens, can you the walking sticks provided .And there is a Compas fixed on the walking stick to track the location.

Our guide, Megan, was truly a highlight of our personal tour here at the dam. I grew up here in Wenatchee in the late 70s/early 80s and remember visiting the museum as a youngster-- to have memories rekindled by seeing the volcanoes and glacier ice mural in its same location as my 9 year old brain remembered is truly extraordinary in this time period. The Discovery Center is a wealth of information, history, art, and a multimedia reflection of something truly extraordinary: a community-owned utility district and hydroelectrical system. Megan kindly and with incredible depth of knowledge took me, my partner, my dad and stepmom around the facility. She shared so much information that was new to me as an adult about how unique the facility is. With a progressive vision implemented in the 1950s with an eye for the long-term, Megan shared how the facility is continuing to evolve and how community-first this utility really is. To return to a place that is a mix of both old and new, the retro (but my living memory!!) and the evolving perspective/learning activities that is especially great for younger kids, is such a heart-expanding experience. Thank you, Megan and all staff we interacted with while visiting on site, June 26th 2025!! My inner 4th and 5th grader was thrilled to be able to try turning that human-powered generator in a box, now at age 55. It's still there, and what a treat to integrate so many positive memories in one place. This is a gem! It's not flashy and flashy wouldn't suit. You can see fish going through the ladders and the whole experience is gloriously analog and magical. Come visit. Not only that, it's a free resource held in trust by the Wenatchee Valley community. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. ❤️‍🔥💚🙏🐠

What a hidden gem! A delight for all ages. I am awestruck at how impeccable their grounds design is, and how well maintained. They offer so many options (playground and picnic areas outside, plus picturesque views-can't be beat), plus interactive and informative exhibits inside. They even offer some food options. It's wheelchair accessible, also. Best of all, this jewel is free (parking included). They upgraded extensively in the last couple of years. It is our favorite place to stop by, either on, or our way back from Chelan. Congratulations to the whole team on a job well done: planning, and excuting. Friendly staff to boot. Highly recommend.😊

Went with high hopes and young kids snd we loved every second! The grounds and playground are beautiful and the discovery center was so well designed perfect for kids and families! My kids loved looking for fish, the animal prints and their poop 🤭 steering the boat, the interactive displays and the clean energy game! The 4 adults that came had fun things to do as well! The staff was so friendly and gave our kids fish necklaces which they all love! Also so grateful for the little cafe/gift shop! Perfect place to stretch your legs and learn in a fun way before going to Leavenworth! We will be making this apart of our yearly family trip to Leavenworth and definitely telling others to make it a stop for them! 10/10!

Super small (<2 miles of trails) but a neat little park on the side of a steep hill. Nice for a quick stop, there's a few picnic tables and restrooms or a challenging walk on the trails. Good views of the valley and surrounding orchards.
Robert Q — Google review
Gorgeous views of unique rock formations, the Enchantment Mountains and town of Cashmere. Make sure to go counterclockwise and it is easier easiest to return the same route for an out and back. We did the complete loop however coming down was extremely steep and unsafe at some areas due to slides. Not ideal for kids due to very steep trail trails and unsecure ground. We also noticed several ticks along the way. Keep your eyes out for marmots too. Enter through the cute garden gate just past the restrooms. Be sure you already have a WA State Discovery Pass since there's no pay machine.
Richie D — Google review
Was a little hit and dry while we were there so our feet tended to slip on the sand covering the rocks. Great views of the valley and the pinnacles are a cool feature of the landscape. Had it been about 20 degrees cooler, we would have done the whole loop. As it was, we did about half of it. Follow the main trail switchbacks if you are afraid of slipping. There are a bunch of cutovers that people have cut that are much steeper.
Michael S — Google review
Nice moderate hike. We did the clockwise loop. Wear proper shoes because some parts of the trail are slippery. Beautiful view. Restroom is clean.

Pleasant park- beautiful views of the Stuart range and Enchantments, as well as the Wenatchee Valley. Pleasant scrambling up to the ridge and back down, probably 40 minutes loop. Definitely follow instructions and stay on the trails, we didn’t and erosion was bad. Nice little restrooms and picnic area. No water.

Short and sweet hike with some views on the way. Trail is pretty narrow but in pretty good condition. There are some nice spots for rock climbing but no rock climbing was done on this hike. Rotary Park is an 8-acre park with a splash pad that operates from Memorial Day through Labor Day. It features amenities such as a playground, frisbee golf, covered areas for parties, and plenty of benches. The park offers a covered playground and a large field for kids to play in. Additionally, there are walking paths along the Columbia River leading to Pybus Market with shops, bars, restaurants, and a farmers market. The park also has ball fields and outdoor activity areas.
Awesome park! It was being well used by people. Even had an intense game of Frisbee Golf going with a family. We were there to eat lunch, and it was nice. Very relaxing and fun to watch the kids and people with dogs playing. Will definitely return.

I was there from out of town last month with my daughter and stopped by for a break. Unfortunately, the splash pad was not working, and there was no shade over the play equipment. The park was clean, the water fountains were working, and the restrooms were clean, too. Overall, we liked this park, and we enjoyed the peace rocks.

Great park to go for a walk, or ride your mountain bikes. The ability to park is never an issue. The plentiful parking is just the first perk as you start to look around you’ll notice the bike jumps. What a great place! I just started back up going mountain biking and trail riding again and I’ve got to say if you’re just starting out then I highly recommend a place that’s easy and very adventurous to start at. They have plenty of ‘green’ trails which are easy rides and are a lot of fun too! Everybody I’ve met so far riding or hiking these trails have been beyond welcoming and nice. There are jumps, right trails, fast long trails, rollers and more and it’s a great place for beginners. Highly recommend purchasing a discover pass in order to access this park and you’ll easily pay off your pass with a lot of fun.

We always like to come up here for sledding in the winter! We went a couple days after Christmas and it was a ton of fun! There are a bunch of little hills to slide down, which is perfect for our boys who are 2 & 4. There are also bigger hills to climb and slide down, but we usually stick to the smaller ones.

Great place to have a camping wedding!!!! The camping area is perfect for about 100 people. There are tons of hidden camping spots, and great spot away from the camping circle for the late night partiers (road to the left after the lodge).

Fantastic place to ride a mountain bike! Whether you are racing, riding with friends or introducing your kids to riding, Squilchuck SP has SO much to offer. It is definitely more of a XC loop network, but trails are smooth, fast and well-designed. When the valley is blazing hot in the summer, you can find cooler air and shady trails a short drive away. Riders of varying abilities can find something to enjoy and beginners are never far away from the parking lot.

Only fenced dog park we could find in a 30 mile radius from Leavenworth Washington. Very large fenced dog park, benches with some shade trees and water fountain for dogs and people. Worth the drive to let the puppies run free.
Slwpdx — Google review
Off leash dog park is a good size. A couple of things to note: 1) if your dog is afraid of loud noises, know that this park is next to railroad track. 2) there are plenty of benches, but the trees are young, so not mush shade. 3) excellent views of the river and people are friendly.
Carrie P — Google review
I initially helped get this park started. I petitioned the city to build a dog park and after nearly 10 years and many volunteers, it was build. However, the city doesn’t maintain it well. Maybe every few months they do a clean up. There’s no grass and the gates are sagging. There’s also NO water for dogs inside which blows my mind. You have to exit the park to let your dog drink. Why they didn’t build a separate small dog area within the park was foolish. The rocks and gravel that cover the park get super hot in summer. Many tripping hazards for people with walking issues or elderly people. Heck, I trip over rocks and exposed water lines all the time. The trees aren’t pruned correctly if at all. And the city lets the weeds grow everywhere until the park is covered…then they’ll remove them. Most dog parks I go to around the country close for a day a week or every two weeks and do regular maintenance (i.e. Sugarland Dog Park near Houston). There’s also no shade. No water feature for dogs to swim in. I’m very disappointed how the park is treated as a secondary thought by city officials. If the city would have volunteer days to pick up dog poo or teach people how to use the park correctly and keep the park well maintained then people would use it and take care of it. Doesn’t help that the homeless like to destroy the area around it. This park was not what I envisioned when I set out to create a dog friendly and community friendly public space.
