Quality of the food gone very low these days. Pepper egg dry doesn’t even smelled the pepper. My friend complained about the quality of mutton pepper roast. Egg roll was just above the mark. Egg rice is equivalent to the taste of road side cart. Management should bounce back to the good old days .

The hidden gem ( literally, easily not visible, we need to search) of Shimoga, exactly at the Gopi Circle. When we were searching for this Restaurant, we missed it initially because of the closed curtains but later enquired with the Sentry, posted near the stairs, whether the Restaurant is opened or not. It was in the first floor, the ambience was good and the service was very efficient. We have ordered a variety of items and the taste was very good. The Andhra Style Vegetarian Lunch, Biriyani, Starters and mocktails were all made with care. We will surely visit this Restaurant, when we visit Shimoga again.

I was pleased to have a gift certificate worth ₹250 from another establishment, which I could redeem at Anmol Restaurant. This added to the overall positive experience. In summary, Anmol Restaurant is a place to savor delicious food in a clean environment. However, the service could use improvement to make the dining experience more enjoyable. If you have the patience for slower service, the food here is worth a try, and the option to redeem gift certificates is a nice touch.

The food is really good and the atmosphere also . But service related if we go inside no one is welcoming customers . N if we go two and order simple food they are neglecting customers. N waiting for when the customer moves /go early like n AC also not works in all tables. Only one or two sides AC working not a whole table. in this summer it's horrible to sit without AC . In service related - No smile when they are servicing and when they are taking orders also. We like to appreciate Cook really wonderful food. Good taste.

Food and ambience are good, but the service is bad, we tried Andra meals with some starters. We received the order very late and after we were done eating half, we got the starters and when we are almost done eating then the server comes with ghee😅

One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been to. Charging Rs 140 for an egg burji which literally has nothing but a single egg. Worst in taste and looting peoples money by over pricing everything. Biriyani is too oily and never would i suggest to anyone.

The hotel was 4Starred..So visited this hotel when we were in shimogga and searched for good resto..around.. It was bit crowded when we went for lunch but luckily got the seating..In the AC Section.. Ambience was pretty good..with nice interiors and good seating with plenty of space..and a light music..👍 Lets talk about the food..we had hobi manchuri..and pulav..must say it was very tasty..I loved the hyderabadi biryani..❤️ Food wise yes I would visit to this hotel when in shimogga.. Service..was not up to mark for me..we waited for 20-30min for the order..while the people beside our table were getting served who were seated after us..😐 So a minus star because of the service.. Price was resonable according to the ambience and the food.. Good spot to have a vegetarian meal with your family and friends..

We accidentally bumped into Hotel Shubham... And the Taste, Quality and Service was Next Level... At 1st glance the Hotel from outside looks simple... My wife quickly read reviews standing outside Hotel Shubham... 4.6 it was and we bumped into it... We went on the 1st Floor and it was packed... 8:45 to 9:15 PM was waiting... We got the seat and the Rest was Fantastic... The Owner himself attended us from the Waiting till we got Table... He advised us the stuff we can try... And all were damn Tasty... He did give my younger one to play 1 puzzle which kept my kid occupied for 15 mins... He awarded them both key chain gift which I personally believe is a kind gesture...That's how one touches the heart... Overall, a must visit place in Shivamogga to have some really good food... Must try for lunch - Tomato soup, Baby corn kasturi Manchurian (lite on the tummy), Roti and butter kulcha with kaaju mutter gravy, Ghee rice, Chikku milkshake and Sweet and salt lemon soda.

Three of us Had been there. Very tasty food. They have a separate section for north indian food. Servers were very polite. Good ambience. A/c room also there separately. Auto stand was just opposite. Rates are surprisingly reasonable.It was 70 percent of what I assumed.

Very bad stay .. rooms are ok but bed is not good even two people also cannot stay properly.. not good for family.. I strongly say don’t go for stay in this place with kids.. you will get irritation.. hot water also not available in the evening time.. if you coming from long journey you will get hectic stay won’t get sleep in these beds. See the pics .. within half an hr we went and asked for check out. Refund also didn’t get. Went for lunch here. Simple, good food and waiters are always helpful. Have stayed in their rooms here earlier. The rooms are really huge. For the price charged, it's a really great deal.

One of the top breakfast serving restaurants in Shimogga. Got referred to this by a local. Also saw that the high ratings and planned to pay a visit and was least disappointed. The ambience of the place was good. Ordered a Masala Dosa and Special Coffee. Dosa was outstanding. Coffee was good too. Service was a bit slow as it was their first Dosa order. Another important thing about this restaurant is that they only take cash, no upi payments are accepted. Also, the menu price is exclusive of taxes. Found that the price was slightly on the high side. But nothing can beat the quality and taste. Would surely recommend.

The place was recommended by my father, he used to eat here when is was a teenager. This was and is a very popular breakfast spots in the city. I would highly recommend this place. Have the Vada it is crispy and soft inside it’s an absolute delight. We had masala dose, idly Vada and coffee. All the food we ate was delicious and the service was lovely. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming and friendly, the place holds a lot of memories and can be seen when you enter the restaurant. Delicious South Indian Food at Meenakshi Bhavan, Shimoga Had an absolutely delightful meal at Meenakshi Bhavan! The food was authentic, flavorful, and served hot and fresh. The dosae were perfectly crisp, the chutneys and sambar were bursting with taste, the avalakki with mosaru was finger licking good, the puddu was soft & fluffy and the filter coffee was the perfect finish to the meal. The place is clean, well-maintained, and has a traditional charm. Service was quick and courteous despite it being quite crowded — a sign of how popular this place is among locals and visitors alike. Highly recommend this place if you're in Shimoga and craving delicious South Indian food. Will definitely be coming back!

You can taste fried gram in chutney, yummy fermented batter in dosay, coffee beans in coffee, soul of the food can be tasted in every dish here. Note that UPI payment isn't accepted only cash. Malnad flavor in every dish is unmatched & can't be found in any other hotel. Must visit hotel when you are passing Shimoga or staying there. Bon appetite..

I have been a regular customer of the hotel for the last six months, having stayed there on about ten occasions since May 2025. My last stay was from 06 to 08 Oct 2025. All the staff are cheerful & courteous, attending to the needs promptly. All the front office staff, right from the gentlemen at the door who greets you with a Namaste, to the helpers & those taking care of the room allotment are efficient & cheerful;. The house keeping staff do their job to the best of their ability. Special mention about Smt malti & Smt Jyoti who were prompt & nice. Restaurant offers a wide variety of cuisine. Two live kitchens cater to any extra needs of the customers. The location is one of the biggest plus points.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay at this hotel was far below expectations. From the moment I arrived, the service was disorganized and unhelpful. Check-in took much longer than it should have, and the staff seemed indifferent to guests waiting in line. Throughout my stay, requests for basic things like clean towels and room cleaning were either delayed or ignored. When I tried to speak to the front desk, the staff appeared uninterested and offered no apology or solution. The level of customer care was very disappointing. While the location of the hotel was convenient, the lack of professionalism and poor service overshadowed everything else. I expected a much higher standard for the price I paid. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until they make serious improvements in staff training and guest relations.

During my recent two-day visit to Shivamogga last week, I had the pleasure of staying at the Royal Orchid Central and the hotel deserves five star for its service, cleanliness and hospitality. The queen room I had booked, was spacious, clean, and very well-maintained. Both the check-in and check-out processes was very quick and ease, each taking less than five minutes. The dine experience in the hotel was very good. Special mention to the staff Mansi, Maruthi, Meena and Laxmi for keeping the room very clean. Overall, my experience was wonderful, and I would definitely recommend Royal Orchid Central Shimoga to anyone visiting the city.

The restaurant section where buffet was served was full of Chaos , running with just 2 staff who were struggling to manage the crowd. Buffet spread was very average nothing great for the price they charge. They were not ready to serve ala carte even though we enquired before visiting. They promised 10% off but never gave it. Receptionist was clueless about which restaurants were open and kept on giving wrong information. Overall not a good experience wrt their restauarant service. Do not recomment their buffet at any cost Its highly priced and not worth the money for the basic spread. Also did not find it convenient to go with family on a weekend. Better to avoid buffet.

Very decent place, clean and big rooms, and good pricing. They have improved a lot lately. Rooms are very affordable. We opted for 3 rooms, and the price was around 2K. And very good room service, they helped us with all requirements, as we were in need of Pooja items they got what was required and were quick. The food was amazing, too.

The restaurant has separate veg and bar restaurant. Food menu is good and taste was delicious. Staff behavior is very professional and seems they had well-structured hospitality training. Ambiance is another plus point. Best of all, the place is less crowd and hence your food will be served quickly. It is quite pricey than other few hotels, but given the consistency in taste and less-crowd the price seems total worthy.

We had stayed in Clarks hotel and got to know few restaurants are inside this. We had the buffet breakfast option. The breakfast was better but could be good. Panner Paratha, poori, sagu, bread, jam, butter, idlis, vadas, sambar, two types of chutney, set dosa, strawberry milkshake, water melon juice, tea, coffee, cut fruits, dosas. Service was worst. The staff dint inform us reg the menu also we had only to enquire about the breakfast as dosa was something which we had to order. The taste was not good as poori was made from maida, dosa was not crisp and was soggy, paneer partha had hardly paneer in it, strawberry milkshake had artificial strawberry flavour. When we had been to Rice bowl in the evening to have some snacks french fries were ordered and none were there in the reastaurant except us. There were staff who were chit chatting playing games who dint bother to serve as it took more than 25 mins just to bring a plate of French fries. The service is very poor.

Nice restaurant located within hotel Green View Clarks Inn, which is a number one hotel in Shimoga. Unfortunately, it is a vegetarian restaurant, also alcohol is not served. Ambience of the restaurant and service is good. I had dinner and buffet breakfast. The varieties for the breakfast is appreciable. Highly recommended for your visit.

While the service and ambience is good, the food falls awfully short. They didn't had any South Indian items for dinner so our group of 9 ended up ordering North Indian dishes and we immediately regretted it. The Veg Hyderabadi curry was green in color. Palak paneer was bright green with clear indication of added food colors. Phulkas were okay. The outdoor seating, service was top notch. The management should improve food quality.

We had lunch at Atithi , pure vegetarian family restaurant in Shimoga. Ambience/Atmosphere was good, clean and neat. We had ordered for Basundi, sweet, but it was not to our expectation. Regarding food it was good except for rasam which contained garlic. Service was good. They have separate AC hall and also for family outside tables are there. Sufficient parking space is also available.

The taste taste is not consistent nowadays. The place has good options in curries, and others have limited dishes to try. Service was quick, and ample parking space was available. It's a very old hotel. Bedsheet and pillow cover had stains. Even the towels were not clean. They have good food but the hotel room is very decent. There's no dental kit and any other amenities. Also few doors will not unlock with the card.

Not recommend to visit this place , but since jewel rock is the known place we came for a stay. Pathetic front desk behaviour.There was miscommunication in the prices of room. Upon that the manager and receptionist staff was very rude to resolve the issue . They have no professionalism to treat the customers. They do not meet the first criteria to treat customers. Jewel Rock Hotel is in a nice spot. Rooms are clean and big. Staff are friendly. Food tastes good. A few small problems like mosquitoes, but overall it’s a good place to stay.

This hotel has good ambience with cosy atmosphere. The management of this hotel has been changed recently so they have created a better atmosphere by giving seperate space for family, smokers and etc., by this kind of atmosphere it will be more comfortable to have our food. Staff are very kind with the customers and they prepare and serve the orderd food with in 15 minutes which is a good thing. This hotel says that are they are specialised in costal dishes, which true also. If you are looking for a better non-vegetarian hotel with moderate prices this is one among them.

This hotel situated in the heart of the city provides decent accommodation, though it can be managed better. It has one veg restaurant on ground floor where the quality of food and maintenance is average. It has one non veg restaurant with bar on 1st floor which is reasonably good though not the best. Ambiance is good though the tariff is slightly on the higher side.

Food was very good albeit a tad bit spicy (may be its personal preference, my family members were ok with it though). Very good ambience, excellent and quick service. We had ordered tomato soup, harabhara kebab, tawa pulav, veg kofta curry and some breads. The triple sundae was very good with vanilla, rose and coffee flavors.

These people say rates for ac and non-ac are the same and make sure you sit in AC. While the Bisleri water which all over India sells for 20 here they charge you 25 saying it's AC price! The staff is always in a hurry for order and doesn't let you enjoy food peacefully. Food is however good, and they customize if we need less chilli or any addition. The quality of the gravy could get better after you've had food they leave you with colour stains in your hand so definitely they have got some food colour there.

I went here as I was in a hurry. Worst food i could have had. Firstly there's no air circulation and sitting inside feels suffocating. I ordered dosa, it was very bland , the chutney was even worse. I wouldn't recommend anyone to visit here even during rush. Choose wisely and avoid this place

Food is full of oil , after i had the mushroom noodles i couldn't travel to Bangalore because of motions i experienced in the bus . I recommend to others not to order the food here , staff don't know how to behave.

As it's inside the bus stop so the main thing the customers expect is quick service and washroom. Nobody responds and there is only one guy who does quick service and rest all ignore if you are calling them. We ordered butter roti and paneer curry it was nothing but oily no taste nothing..and the washing area stinks so much and not at all clean and there was no water in tap we had to use the glass from vessel to wash the hands..it really needs to be improved atleast in this as it's inside the bus stop and they will be having the customers all the time. The restaurant looks good but it ends there. Service is pathetic, they take forever to attend you and serve the food. We had Gobi Manchurian - which was burnt out and couldn't eat at all. Ver biryani tasted like normal pulav. The fruit salad with ice cream was small and poorly made. Please don't visit at any cost.

Morning breakfast wasn't available here I guess it's only lunch facility here, coz last time when I went inside for breakfast they directly said me to go to some other hotel we don't serve breakfast. Service is extremely slow. Unfortunately Twice I had been for lunch as I was extremely hungry ( usually I avoid this hotel) but food was literally tasteless, am not being mean here but fact is fact

Pleasantly surprised when I found this restaurant for breakfast in Shimoga. Had been looking for some decent place to have good breakfast and found this on Google. Drove to the place to see that it was in a KSRTC bus stop. Made me think whether it was worth since all those restaurants near bus stops are pretty dirty. Still gave it a try and was astonished...It was spotless clean and well maintained. Service was good and so was the food as well. Had a Masala dosa which wasn't as crispy as it is in Bengaluru, however didn't disappoint in the taste. Puri's were slightly oily. Filter Coffee was awesome. The cleanliness was the big positive I saw there. Definitely worth a visit for people in Shimoga.

One of the best hotel for every day meal.. Small but neat and good.. Tea, Breakfast and luch are served here.. Only few peoples can sit and eat inside. And you can stand and eat outside the hotel..A special cold carrots juice is famous... Only few options in break fast and lunch, Morning tiffen rice items and idly Wada for the lunch you get only Rice, sambar and crude rice, along with mirchi pakoda or potato pakoda... On Saturdays only rasam is served... Taste is ok.. service is also ok.. Street parking for two wheeler and cars.. Not recommended for families going out..

The mess is located on BR road. Bangalore road. The mess serves lunch at affordable prices. The serving is typically on plantain leaf. Starts with salt, pickle, 2 different types of vegetables, pulses curry, cucumber salad, Ragi ball, rice roti, chapati, rice, sambar, rasam, curd and butter milk in small proportions. The single serving is sufficient. The cost per meal is 50rs. It is one of the most popular locations by the locals and tourist. Value for money. Must visit if you are a foodie. However the ambiance is simple and neat. No AC nor cushion seats.

I have been visiting the restaurant for decades. The food is extremely good and the taste wise there's no complaint. I always liked the Mutton Biriyani, Kabab, Mutton Pepper dry. They have plenty of non vegetarian options on the menu. The restaurant is often crowded, and the owner must look into setting up a good wash basin and a toilet facility and request to maintain good hygiene. This might attract a few more new customers. I stayed at this hotel as my wife had an exam, and we were accompanied by our 5-month-old baby. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. When they noticed me struggling to manage alone while having coffee, they kindly looked after my baby for a while, which I truly appreciated. I had also requested a late check-out until my wife’s exam was over, and though the standard check-out time was 11 AM, they graciously extended it to 1 PM without any hassle. The hotel staff were always courteous and supportive throughout our stay. The hotel is located slightly in the corner, so there was a bit of a ventilation issue, but if that is improved, I would say this is the best hotel I have seen in Shivamogga. Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable experience!

The rooms were very tidy. We did group booking for 3 executive rooms for 2 days but when we reached, they were kind to provide free upgrade for all 3 rooms from executive to suite. The suite rooms were facing main road and had great view They have a restaurant in ground floor with lot of vegetarian options. There was enough car parking in basement and in ground floor The staff was humble and friendly, suggested us nearby tourists spot. They have a travel desk available to guide It has a supermarket just next building of you want to go for quick shopping. Overall it was a decent experience.

Room cleanliness - 0 Hospitality & Customer service - -5 I had a very bad experience at this hotel. We checked in at 2am in the night. The pillow and bed had few blood stains, the bathroom wasn’t really clean and flushed 😫 We had to check out at 10am, and when we gave this feedback, the receptionists were not even ready to accept or apologise. We wouldn’t have taken the room if it was known beforehand that cleanliness is not a priority Very rude staff behaviour.

The only items that were was just ok were masala paapad and masala peanut. The kabab fry was only bones and all maida corn flour, the lollypop was tasteless, rasam mediocre, malai kabab was sweet!!!. We were group of friends we asked them for family section but they said without any girl in group you can't enter family section so we were forced to sit in bar section. The food here was really overpriced than it’s worth, the chicken tandoori was burnt, the chicken biryani was really dry, while ordering a chicken roll, the price was set really up high as the waiter said it was for “customising” the food from the menu, and finally got the chicken spring roll, an item in the menu.

A good hotel with soft and crispy dosas. Many varieties of vegetarian dosas can be found. My favourite is the open butter Dosa. Its soft and has potato masala inside. You could taste the robust yet complicated texture of the masala. To add more flavour there was the butteriness of the ghee. The chutneys served are really good but a little spicy. The golibajje is also soft and fluffy. Overall, a good place.

Previously it was Pack N Take now, it is renamed as Donne Briyani Pack N Take. Cleanliness and service is poor. We ordered Rumali Roti with Chicken Curry. Rumali Roti was cold even after me asking them to serve Hot. Chicken Curry tasted awful. The Curry was like Rasam in texture. Price was decent but not worth visiting here.

I mean definitely there was lot of room for improvement. Staff are good and polite. Coming to food, mushroom what we had ordered had become too spicy to eat but roti was nice and soft. Awesome food. Simply amazing food. Surprisingly the place is very affordable considering the superb cleanliness and high quality of the food served. Never expected it to be that good, we'd visited it just to try it out. Also make sure to tell the wait staff if you don't want your food spicy, the general spiciness level is pretty high here and those who can't eat spicy food have to explicitly specify it while ordering. The ambience is sort of OK OK. They just have one brightly lit hall with tables arranged. The only downside is there is no privacy. You can practical hear what anybody in any table is talking about

I had ordered pasta and a cheesecake from Swiggy. And they did not send cheesecake for which I had to pay penalty for cancelling the order of Swiggy and they are so pathetic that they accepted the mistake but don’t even bother to deliver the item or give the refund. Yet I placed order 2nd time only with the hope of good food. I had ordered pizza and they made it so spicy, so spicy that had to throw the entire pizza away. Adding the video where they have put sauce in between dough that was way too spicy. I would never ever order from this place. Such an irresponsible service.

The ambiance of the cafe is truly delightful, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. When it comes to the food, the quality and taste were outstanding. We had the pleasure of trying their delectable burnt garlic noodles, which were absolutely delicious. However, I wasn't particularly fond of their pizza as it had a strange taste. On a brighter note, their burger was quite enjoyable, and the white sauce pasta was decent. Lastly, we indulged in the delightful chocolate truffle cake, which was absolutely scrumptious and definitely worth a try.

Lovely cafe style restaurant. Beautiful ambience and tasty food. Quantity and taste was worth the the price. Not a big place so won't be crowded and noisy. We had a great family time leisurely. We tried macho soup, pizza, pasta, some starters as well. Starters were so good and we missed taking a pic.

Well maintained cafe and it gives you unique experience compare to other cafés in Shimoga. You can find thincrust Pizzas here, as I didn't see any other places providing such pizza options. They also have variety of cuisines which is much appreciable. The guava martini was best 🍸 And coming to center of attraction is the DESSERTS 🧁. I tried the Lotus Cheese cake which was amazing and creamy 😋. And I really like to try Choco Pudding next time.

Worst experience ever. We went for dinner at this place as recommended by a friend. But it was a nightmare being there First, we had to wait around 30 minutes for the menu card and for someone to take order. I only went out to find someone who could take the order. They After some time, they sent someone. We asked for cocktails and other drinks, and they said it's not available. Everything we asked was not available, then the bartender started to give some pathetic options like he will bring cold coffee and bailey's, separately and later we can make a cocktail from that. Who does that. They again we had to struggle for the food menu; nothing we wanted was available there. Again, we settled for something of their choice. They server noodles but with no cutlery. How to eat that. We waited 20 mins for that and then they gave use cutlery to eat, till that time the food wasn't hot enough to eat. The food was okayish; we started eating that, and suddenly the bartender came and turned off the lights and AC saying that we are closing the bar. What was that?? First, they wasted so much of our time by not taking orders on time and not serving it properly. Then, they are like they have to close because of government regulations. They didn't inform us before. All other places have this last order policy; they stop taking orders after some particular time. They just directories off the light while we were eating. They should at least inform before taking orders that they will close at so in so time. This is the most pathetic experience I have ever had.

I ordered 1/2 hot and sour soup and 2 k.s.b bt they brought manchow soup and it's taste not good. Later on i ordered chicken tikka but it was not tender and hard to chew. Lastly I ordered egg hakka noodles and it's making process is 3-5mins but it takes and served after 20mins and with Chinese red chili sauce . I recommend that is to be served with hot garlic sauce .f&b service staff name Romeo is very polite but he is not serving properly while the girl (f&b staff) was very gentle and serving properly

Visited this newly opened fine dining place on New years Eve with lot of expectations after seeing reviews here . To my dismay ,food was utterly disappointing 😒. Paneer was so hard. Lemon chicken which is supposed to ooze with flavours,,was so bland ,dry n tasteless.. a simple egg fried rice was totally burnt. I don't know if chef was on leave but not a single dish was worth eating.. staff were not bothered if we liked the food or not.. very bad experience. We have visited the veg counterpart many times and were never disappointed.

Very good interiors. Specially on the first floor. You’ll love the ambience. The writing on the walls are something that you should read if you’re literate. It’s spectacular. It shows different ways they respect food. Prompt service. Food is usually served within 15minutes after placing order. Hot and in a really good way. Great food. Food is great. No doubt about it. Quantity is more generous than other famous restaurants out there. And pocket friendly. Don’t we all love great and cheap food?! Exactly. 2 persons ~ ₹500. Good staff. Helpful too. They usually suggest you that you won’t be able to eat something else if you try to order. Food shouldn’t be wasted. :) Try out their chicken broast if you’re a non-vegetarian. It’s a must. :)

The only decent place we found to lunch in, at Shivamogga during our road trip from Goa to Coimbatore. Very nice interiors and ambiance. To our shock, we saw no customers there that day (not a single soul even though it was a weekend). We went for it because we saw good reviews of it on Google. Ordered fried rice, chicken manchurian and french fries. The dip that came along with french fries was really great. But the rice and Manchurian were pretty mediocre. Even the juices we ordered kinda tasted a little stale. Couldn't raise an issue at that time as we were in a hurry to complete our road trip.

From outside the restaurant looks average but once you enter service area.. it's cosy and nice. Ordered their recommendations like Drums of Heaven and Chicken Broast. It was yummy and portion was very good for two persons... Overall experience of service and food was great

Tried special north meal this was below average food. Served in a plastic breakfast plate this only shows their dedication on presentation. Coming to food soup was bad, two curries quantity was too less n taste was also average, rotti was better, served three varieties of rice except curd rice both the rice varieties was full warm nd not up to the mark.
