Had a lovely lunch there today. Service was great. Very pleasant and helpful servers. Tried the butternut squash soup with mushrooms. It was luscious! Then a pork filet with pureed carrots and parsnips. So so good.

We ate a long, slow family lunch and enjoyed every bite. We were last to leave but never felt rushed. The food was tasty and presentation great. All served with efficiently and with a smile.
Graeme B — Google review
We had an excellent lunch in Le Parvis, especially given the price. The food was cooked in a clean, pure style with a heavy focus on flavors. There was no need for complex presentation or embellishments. The weather called for simple, good food. The maitre was friendly, jovial and all-seeing. Service was quick and correct. Definitely an address to remember for a tasty lunch in Orange!
Bart G — Google review
Excellent food and service! Starter and main course Michelin star quality. Bit surprised that they served salad with the cheese, and also a bit too many out of stock in the wine list. But will definitely visit again if I am in Orange

While travelling in South of France, We have stopped in this restaurant in Orange ( only 5 mins away from the A7 autoroute). Light food, good and tasty.Wine buy the glass very intersting. We have enjoyed the stop over during lunch. It is worth getting out of the freeway

Delicious food, and an excellent wine list, with an emphasis on Provençal produce. Very friendly and helpful staff. There was no vegetarian main on the set menu but they were happy to prepare something off menu.

Brasserie
French restaurant
Monteverdi Café Brasserie Restaurant Bar A Vins is a fantastic restaurant located near Orange, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. The friendly owner and staff provide excellent service, making it a top dining experience. The menu features delicious options such as escargot starters, huge and tasty burgers, pave du salmon with rice, and unique Picon beer. Visitors praise the well-cooked dishes like rib eye steak with frites and the Shepherdess Salad.
We spent three days in Orange and enjoyed dinner twice at this restaurant. The food was consistently excellent on both visits. Each of us (a group of four) ordered different meat dishes, and every single one was really good. No disappointments here—just great food and a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended! The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Carlos T — Google review
The food and service are absolutely superb. Quite expensive but absolutely everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommended.
Toma L — Google review
Friendly and attentive staff, very quick service (I asked for it being in a rush).

Found this restaurant randomly and I’m not disappointed. The food was good, the staffs were really nice and the place is lovely. Really well decorated, even in the details.
Melo A — Google review
A fantastic restaurant with seating outside and plenty of room inside if you prefer. We Had two great meals here during our two week holiday near Orange and enjoyed them both, the escargot starter was lovely... the burgers are very good and huge, try the pavè du salmon with rice its superb. Very friendly owner and waitress and the service is awesome and so is the food, also try a picon beer here its a very french way of adding picon to a beer which transforms it into something wonderful ...try it you will love it at Monteverdi👍
Tony B — Google review
This place is so cute, the service friendly, and the food delicious. Had the salmon and the shrimp and they were both excellent (except the fries that came with the shrimp). Local delicious wines by the glass very reasonable at around 6 euros.
Aileen K — Google review
We went here yesterday. It's a nice restaurant a short walk from the theater or the Arc de Triomphe. The food is great and the staff is very friendly. We started with a shared plate of Escargots, a dish I've never had before, but ended up being very tasty. For the main dish I went for something I'm more familiar with, the hamburger, which cannot really go wrong and indeed had a great taste as well. All in all if you're in the area I'd recommend stopping by this place

Lunch restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Avignon, Le Riad is a culinary gem that transports diners straight to Morocco with its enchanting decor and inviting ambiance. Housed in a charming 19th-century building topped with a stunning glass roof, this restaurant offers an authentic taste of Moroccan cuisine. The Berber chef crafts each dish with care, ensuring every bite bursts with flavor.
We had lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal! We split an order of mixed (meat and cheese) briwattes, then had chicken and kefta (spiced meatball) couscous with a small bottle of Moroccan rosé wine. Beautiful interior and good service, too.
Tess L — Google review
We reserves this restaurant on a Wednesday and it was quite decent filled. The stuff was friendly the whole time, broken english, and sometime not as attentive. The food was perfekt, sooo hot (maybe a bit too hot to be honest), but super delicious and high in quality. We ordere 4 tajines and briwattes as a starter and the biscuits for the dessert. Everything was delicious and can be recommented. The biscuits are really sweet but have a original taste. The one thing we did not like was the bread which was served to the starter and main dishes. It is way to light and unfortunately does not really have a taste. We would recommend to serve a heavier baguette, maybe even a white and a brown one, but both should have some substance. All the best to the kitchen and thanks for this great evening!
Niklas L — Google review
Fantastic place! Incredible service and fantastic Moroccan food. The lamb tajine was perfect and all was for an excellent price!

Mediterranean restaurant
Au Petit Patio, a delightful establishment in Orange, provides an exceptional dining experience. With an enchanting outdoor seating area adorned with whimsical artwork, the restaurant offers professional service alongside inventive and well-presented cuisine. The amuse bouche presents a delicate cheese mousse infused with French flavors. A shared tartare dish combines mangoes, peas, shrimp, and onions to create a remarkable blend of textures and tastes.
Outstanding in every way. Delightful patio with whimsical art, professional service and above all, inventive, flavourful and well-presented food. The amuse was a delicate mousse of a cheese - just not sure which as our French isn’t good enough for us to understand the description. We shared a tartare of mango, peas, shrimp and onions - an amazing combination of textures and flavours. Our main courses were the tuna with Asian flavours and noodles and the dorade with a fennel confit. Exceptionally flavourful and beautifully plated. We finished with a cheese course. We had wines selected for us for each course which were perfect accompaniments. Highly recommend you make a reservation if you are in Orange.
KASinYVR — Google review
We visited the Patio twice. The first time we had the menu of the day, which included duck breast, but it was a little tough. The second time we had the €49 menu. Individually each dish was excellent, but overall there was not enough variation in the type of food being served. Including the amuse-bouche we had four dishes with mousse type consistency. If there was more variety we would happily give 5 stars. The patio garden is delightful as was the lady serving us.
Hugh S — Google review
We had a wonderful lunch here. Simply the menu of the day: dressed crudités, filets de rouges, clafoutis figues. Everything fresh perfectly seasoned, perfect portion size, and a great selection of wine by the glass. One of the best meals we have had in any country, highly recommended.
Imogen F — Google review
We had the set menu & it was great! Each dish well prepared & good value for money. Despite a very busy Fri evening, the food came out promptly. Service was attentive & friendly. Many choices of wine by the glass. Highly recommended!
Claudia M — Google review
We were visiting Orange on Thursday, market day, and saw the “Menu de Marché” for 24€ posted. All three courses, entree, fish, and dessert, were delicious and beautifully plated. In addition, we were surprised with an amuse-bouche of a tuna tapenade with our apéritif and a second small dessert with our espresso. Friendly service, too. I recommend that you stop by around 11:00 to make a lunch reservation, especially for outside seating on market day.
Tess L — Google review
There are lots of good restaurants in Orange, but this was the best dinner in all categories that we had while in Orange. We really appreciated that the wine in half bottles was excellent, not always the case in other restaurants. This restaurant was recommended by locals and we were very grateful to them. Highly recommend this place.

French restaurant
Bar
A La Maison is a charming bistro located on a quiet square, offering modern French dishes in a creatively presented manner. The restaurant features a lovely terrace with the Amphitheatre as a backdrop and provides good service. While some visitors found the dishes to be disappointing and lacking in flavor, others raved about their dining experience, describing it as one of the best meals they've ever had. The wait staff has been praised for being fantastic and providing excellent winery tour suggestions.
Excellent experience! Service was impeccable. We had the terrine appetizer: A+. The sea bream plate was the best ever. The tuna tartare just melted. Every server was warm and personable. Highly recommended!
James R — Google review
We came for lunch on a Saturday before an event at the theater. The restaurant owner was very friendly, he went above and beyond to make us happy. Staff is nice and restaurant atmosphere is beautiful. The food is Mediterranean and absolutely delicious. We would eat here again and again!
Heather T — Google review
What a fantastic experience. Amazing combination of good food, friendly service and charming atmosphere. They also have a very good children’s menu. Not to be missed!
Matt R — Google review
Delicious food and nice staff! We were traveling from Spain to Germany and stopped here while looking for a great place to eat — and we definitely found it! The stop was absolutely worth it. The food was excellent — no burgers or fries, but genuine, high-quality French cuisine at very fair prices. Highly recommended!
Timo P — Google review
Highly recommended if in Orange. They are really helpful when selecting wines. The food was great. We sent back the ceviche, it tasted a bit weird. They helped us out in a very professional manner, and we did not have to pay for it. The manager, Tom, was very nice and offered us mezcal when we left. He also plays great music in this place. Hopefully we will return.
Pablo R — Google review
This could be a great restaurant. Located just a few steps from the magnificent Roman Antique theatre this makes it an ideal location for a night at the Choregie. The food is good and use fresh and local ingredients. The service is unfortunately very slow and could be more attentive to the need of its customers. The team is very sweet but the wait between courses is unreasonably long (>15min) and at some point you feel you just have been forgotten and just want to leave…it would not take much for this place to get from just average to great…
Mecene D — Google review
Rounded up to 4 stars, but it’s only worth 3.5. A lovely setting with the Amphitheatre as a backdrop and good service. The tuna tataki was very good but the rest of the meal was disappointing. There was nothing special or inventive about either main course. We had pork with a chorizo sauce and veal with a black garlic sauce. Neither had much flavour - even the sauces were bland. This was our second visit but based on this meal, we won’t return as this restaurant doesn’t deliver on value for money.
KASinYVR — Google review
We were there with a group of ten. All meals were fresh and tasty. Oncluding the meals for the kids. The service was friendly and quick. Highly recommended place for families and people who love good food. It’s not explicitly cheap. But the value for the price is still pretty attractive.

French restaurant
The new American restaurant, Académie de Billard, offers generous portions and delectable dishes like burgers and fries. The food is simply incredible. Additionally, they provide a complimentary appetizer, which I can't recall the French word for but it was absolutely delicious! The ambiance is comfortable with an American diner vibe inside and outdoor seating available. The service is fantastic, as they even served food (specifically desserts) when we arrived late at 23:00.
Portions are big, fries and burger were tasty, really amazing food. Or and they give you free after appetiser, I’ve forgotten the french word:) But it was delicious! Great to sit outside and there is American dine vibe inside, very comfortable:)

The atmosphere of the place refers to the USA, very nice staff who care about your well-being. If someone likes billiards, American "fast food" is a place worth visiting

This is the best bar in Orange by a long way. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The staff were great and went out of their way especially as we were unable to speak French. The food was very good and in relation to the other establishments was very reasonbbly priced. Had a fantastic time there and would recommend it to anyone
Paul H — Google review
I'd say, it's my favourite place to go. A nice atmosphere, great designed restaurant for all ages. The food and drinks are great, very reasonable prices. There are pool tables, which is fun. Good music and very nice and friendly staff. I'd love to recommend this place to everyone.

Without doubt the Best restaurant for burgers in Orange..just round the corner from the Roman theatre .. a fantastic "cafe gourmand" for dessert is a must Try a picon beer here also its lovely stuff (something you will only get in France) and if you want wine they serve it by the "pichet"..a glass jug... and it's good quality After your meal you can play pool if youd like...a great restaurant for families and the staff are super friendly Jennifer the waitress speaks perfect English if your french is rusty

Pizza restaurant
The Festival Café in central Orange is a pleasant establishment known for its excellent pizzas and convenient location. However, one drawback is the prevalent second-hand smoke, which appears to be popular in France. It would be appreciated if the European Union implemented a comprehensive ban on outdoor smoking, similar to what has been done in Sweden where outdoor restaurant smoking is already prohibited. On a positive note, the mussels in roquefort and tartare are highly recommended menu choices, satisfying customers' taste buds.
Wonderful, kind and sincere service for people with allergies. We had a stopover in Orange, off season, and saw that they had a Quinoa salad on the menu, which suited my partner who cannot eat gluten and lactose. After we were seated and we tried to order they explained that they did not have the ingredients for the salad at this time. However, they went back and forth between the chef, other staff members, and us to understand what they could offer based on the dietary requirements. The food they made with what they could was delicious - a salad with prawns and salmon. Even without this, the food I had from the regular menu (pizza) and the service was fantastic - really great attentive staff who were sincere and engaged even when they were busy. Thank you!

Wonderful service and delicious food. On arriving and explaining my gluten and dairy allergies, the staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful, making what is normally a very anxiety inducing experience the complete opposite. All ingredients in the meals they suggested were checked with me first to make sure they were ok for me to eat and staff were incredibly flexible in changing ingredients to create a beautiful meal I could eat. My gluten eating partner also had the most delicious pizza! Thank you to the staff at festival cafe for a lovely dining experience!

La Cantina offers excellent, top-quality cuisine with a focus on daily fish specials. The restaurant's unique location within a cave creates a pleasant and cool ambiance, particularly appealing during hot summer days. The owner is friendly and dedicated to meeting the customers' needs, although the service could benefit from a larger team as there were occasional delays in receiving beverages.
Our family had an excellent dinner here. The chef himself made everyone very welcome and then explained the menu to us. The food was just great.
D H — Google review
“We felt like being the worst people on the planet.” I typically reserve writing reviews for exceptionally good experiences; however, I find myself compelled to share a recent dining experience that was notably disappointing, not for the quality of food or the ambiance, but due to the service we received. The food was good, nothing amazing, there was nothing wrong with it. The place and its atmosphere are quite nice; the restaurant is carved into a rock. The interior is also well made. The music was also modern mainstream pop music with some jazzy variations. One can run an absolute gem restaurant in this setting. However, what really shook us and made me write this review was the rude behavior of a (the) waitress, perhaps the owner or another key employee of the place. We started by ordering a bottle of wine. It got slammed on our table, was not poured to taste it, nor poured in the glasses. We felt like we did something wrong, ordered the wrong wine, didn’t speak good enough French (but we still tried!) - no clue. It felt like road rage in the rush hour, leaving us completely baffled. Luckily, one of the kitchen personnel approached us and was very talkative, spoke English, German, flattered our home country, etc, clearly making an effort to make us feel comfortable. He literally went the extra mile: you would expect him to be busy enough in the kitchen. Bottom line: fix the waitress and you fix this place. Until then, go somewhere else to spend your precious (holiday) dinners.

La Cantina serves very good, high-quality food - I really liked the daily fish. It is also important to mention the special location in the cave, the ambience is pleasant especially in these hot summer days as it is quite cool. The owner is a friendly man and tries his best to meet the customers' needs. The service can be improved, it seemed that the team is too small, since we had to wait longer and ask several times for beverages.

Le Petit Resto de Paul is a charming eatery that specializes in West-African cuisine. The service at Le Petit Resto de Paul is attentive and full of personality, ensuring that guests have a lovely dining experience.
Just returned from one of the best experiences eating out in France in 2.5 months. Beautiful African food 'cooked with love'. The hosts were a lovely couple who went out of their way to ensure we had a great evening. Highly recommend. Beef Gombo and chicken couscous absolutely delightful.

Not good to be honest. €27 for a salad entree and beef gumbo (which was microwave reheated by the way) cold rice and vegetable sides. Wine was really the best thing I had there. Surprised by the average rating being so high. Definitely wouldn’t go back. Service was fine but not a saving grace unfortunately.

Simple restaurant serving West-African cuisine. Paul, the owner is from Benin. He is a friendly and relaxed person. There is one vegetarian dish. When I ordered the dish, Paul said that no vegetables were available. When I said that I am vegetarian and have no other choice, Paul managed to put something together which was better than the standard vegetarian fare in any classical French restaurant.

On the outside this hotel does not reflect it’s quality: a real hidden gem. We had a small but adequate room with a very comfortable bed. The real surprise however was the meal which was simply outstanding! Very friendly service too.

Very nice place that I really recommend. People are very kind, rooms are good, but the best part of this place is the restaurant. It was delicious, it has been a long time that I enjoyed my diner. Congratulations for the chef cook.

Set in the middle of vineyards, this unpretentious hotel has an amazing restaurant. Seating is in a lush garden under an old shady grapevine. Friendly service and great selection of local dishes showcasing seasonal fresh local produce. Enjoyed a great dinner - restaurant was also recognised by the Michelin guide

The 5-star rating is completely justified for L'amarena restaurant. The cuisine, a delightful fusion of French and Italian flavors, is simply outstanding. One can easily tell that the dishes are meticulously prepared with a homemade touch, reminiscent of traditional family recipes. Notably delicious is the visually appealing dish showcased in the picture and the highly recommended mushroom risotto. The attentive and affectionate waitress adds to the perfection of the dining experience.
Hidden gem in Orange! In an small street with festive lighting you will find this restaurant. Creative and cooked with fresh ingredients, served by the passionate Vero and Max. We felt really welcome and loved the food. We will be back!

Amazing place to have lunch - Maxim & his wife are a top team and will serve you a superb menu, at a very reasonable price. Lovely part shade part sun terrace (indoor dining also possible). What a treat this was, and how lovely they are! 10/10. Will return for sure. Merci Maxim!

Great family managed restaurant. Service was very friendly and attentive. Our lunch exceeded expectations. Burgers were cooked perfectly to each’s preference and loaded with toppings. Lunch special salad was a great mix of local items. It was a dead Sunday in town but this restaurant patio was full of locals no doubt here because the food is so good.

Had a great evening meal here. Great food, service and atmosphere. Arrived at 7:10 and we had the last table for 3 so I suggest you book. I had escargot, filet de Broone (white fish) and crème brûlée. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I recently dined at L'amarena in Orange, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The three-course menu, featuring a succulent duck breast as the main dish, surpassed all expectations. Each course was a masterpiece, skillfully crafted with a delightful blend of flavors. The ambiance at L'amarena is enchanting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. What truly stood out was the impeccable service provided by the fantastic host. Their attention to detail and genuine warmth added a special touch to the evening. In every aspect, L'amarena deserves a resounding five stars. It's a culinary gem in Orange, and I can't wait to return for another extraordinary dining experience.

The 5 stars are absolutely justified. The food was fantastic. The cuisine combines French and Italian food. My dish (you can see in the picture) was really tasty and seemed handmade "a la mama". A warm recommendation from my side is also the risotto with mushrooms. The nice and loveable waitress made our visit perfect. Would love to come back to this place one day.

Regal Tendance Artisan Chocolatier Glacier is a delightful destination for dessert lovers, offering some of the most exquisite ice creams you can find. Their pistachio flavor is particularly noteworthy, though it may not always be available. While the sweetness level might be on the higher side and prices could feel a bit steep for portion sizes, the experience is undeniably rewarding. Guests rave about their rich hot chocolate and commendable service in a prime location that enhances your visit.

If you're in Orange and craving a taste of Eastern European cuisine, look no further than restaurant CCCP. This charming eatery offers a delightful array of traditional dishes that will leave you wanting more. From the heartwarming borscht to the delectable pelmeni and the standout golubtzi (cabbage rolls), every bite is a celebration of flavor. The staff at CCCP are incredibly welcoming, even extending their kindness to furry friends, which adds to the warm atmosphere.
We went to this restaurant out of curiosity, we were blown away. It was so good. The staff were so kind. They were also very kind to our dog, which is always appreciated. We went for dinner and returned the next day for lunch. We also got a to go package to eat at home. We had borscht, pelmeni, and golubtzi (cabbage rolls). All were good, but it’s the golubtzi that really stole our hearts. Amazing. It sounds like a joke, but it is not: my partner is planning a road trip to Orange again so we can eat here again. I thought I should write a review because we can’t stop talking about it.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the tea room Cocoon’Age in Orange, France. Lovely café with a focus on high-quality infusions and specialty coffee. We ordered two different lattes, both of which were absolutely delicious—smooth, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. One of the nicest touches: while they don’t serve pastries themselves, the staff warmly encouraged us to pick up a few from the bakery next door and enjoy them on their beautiful terrace. A very thoughtful and customer-friendly gesture! The service was genuinely kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere on the terrace made for a perfect coffee break. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and appreciate great coffee and warm hospitality.

Les saveurs du Marché is a charming regional restaurant that offers a more casual dining experience compared to its gastronomic counterpart. The owner's sweet niece adds to the delightful atmosphere, and the food is a pleasant mix of regional flavors with unexpected twists. The restaurant boasts an impressive wine selection and reasonable prices, making it an excellent choice for both lunch and dinner. With exceptional quality and friendly service, it's no wonder that visitors look forward to returning with their families.
5 minutes from the motorway, a fabulous french restaurant. Home made from the"marché". We had a great time, thank you to all the team
Bbcb C — Google review
Based on other reviews we had high expectations. The food was adequate, but nothing special. We started with the tomato salad served on focaccia. The tomatoes had very little flavour and the focaccia was dense and quite difficult to cut. We were unable to figure out what the brown sauce spread on the focaccia was as the flavours were so subdued. The fish was served with risotto that was devoid of flavour - so much so that I had to add salt to try and bring it back to life. Perhaps it was an off night for the kitchen but based on our experience this was a very ordinary meal and not a restaurant we would recommend.

The more casual little brother of a gastronomic powerhouse, it's a regional gem. We were lucky to have the owner's sweet niece serve us. She's a delight. The food is both regional and unexpected. Awesome wine list. Reasonably priced. And air conditioner inside on a hot evening.
Scott D — Google review
Unbelievable. We asked for a table for three persons and immediately got a table. However 15 minutes later, after having ordered drinks already, the same person that gave us our table asked if we had a reservation. We said no, but no one asked us for a reservation when we entered the restaurant. The waiter as well as the owner of the restaurant (I guess) became very unfriendly. At no moment did they realize that they had made a mistake by not asking if we had a reservation. They asked us to leave immediately in a very rude way because people who had made a reservation entered the restaurant. Not going back to this place.

I can't confirm the negative reviews found here about Le Pigalle, as it is important to note that it is a French brasserie and not a high-end gourmet restaurant. While some items on the menu may be pricey, I personally had an excellent experience with their three-course menu priced at 27.9. This is exactly what one would expect from a traditional French restaurant. It's worth mentioning that they offer wine by the pitcher (0.5l for 9.
The duck is amazing. It was well cooked, portions are large and prices low. Seating and view are definitely more than adequate. Don't be scared to pick something other than pizza or burgers. Would eat here again.

We had lunch here with my girlfriend, my in-laws and our 9 Month old baby. The restaurant is located at a nice square and have lots of tables inside and outside. First we went inside but switched tables when one table on the terrace became free. I had the beef skewer which was delicious and very affordable (€15,50). My mother in law had a cesar salad, which was quite large and had plenty of chicken, cheese and croutons. The others had a chicken skewer. All the food was really tasty and was well worth your money. We parked near the Arc de Triomphe which is only 8 minutes walking away from the restaurant. Near the restaurant you can find, on walking distance, the Cathedrale Notre-Dame, the Arc de Triomph and the Roman theater.

As expected for the main restaurant square. OK pizza and salad for lunch. Nothing spectacular, outstanding or negative - just plain middle of the road. Had the pizza carnivore- which was OK, salad chèvre chaud look good.

Nice Restaurant for a quick lunch. Meals are of good quality, service was however on the slow side.
Cornelia K — Google review
Because the only other restaurant at this Place de la Republique in lovely Orange during summer festival season had closed its kitchen, we choose ‘the other side’ Pigalle which didn’t look much inviting because of the use of TL-light (We already called the 80’s to get those back). The friendly and hardworking staff spoke as good English as my French, so that was really helpfull. Having said that; it’s what’s on the menu that counts. We both fell for the lasagna, but it didn’t quite fell for us. This pasta dish had been made mainly from lasagna sheets and minced meat and drenched in oil. This made the taste bland which couldn’t be saved by some extra salt. We did use the oil to sweeten the rock hard additional bread. The stars are for dessert which was crème brulee, more than plenty for two people and tasted fine.
Edwin P — Google review
We ordered salads for ourselves and the children’s menu for our little girl. The waitress was nice and when ordered the food came quickly. However after main we felt a bit forgotten. And our girl had an ice cream included in her menu but we had to wait for this for like 30 and remind them again about it before we got it. Hence the low rating for the service

It was the most rude and tourist-hostile thing I have ever experienced! When we arrived, the owner came straight up to us and asked what we wanted. We tried to communicate with him in English, as the website advertises that they can speak English. However, we were answered in French, but also in an incredibly unfriendly tone. When we then tried to speak French, we were sent away with the first excuse that he "didn't have room for us" (he didn't even know how many of us there were), even though most of the store was empty. To summarize: We were less than 3 minutes in the restaurant, the owner already came running as if we were about to set fire to his grotto, didn't even exchange 2 sentences with us until he shooed us away in the most unfriendly tone and with hand movements, as if we were the plague. Edit: I really wanted to go there and finally got the others to go there to, drove a long way because off the risottos(food), the good reviews and the nice pictures they had online. I was really exited and made pictures of the restaurant and we received that kind of treatment. And if you see the answer from the owner: I never threatened someone with a bad review, I had the idea to share my experience a day later and I also was totally calm when we went into that restaurant and calm when we walked out. We never had interest into the theater, just your food. Therefore I really think and hope that you confused us with someone else, because we went straight inside to you and the other two waited at your menu down the way so that they would not be in the way. And Sir, I also worked in the food industry and if I had behaved like you, I would have been fired. Just because you are the owner does not mean you can treat people the way you do.

This place was very nice. The atmosphere was really nice with the ceiling being old roman stonework from the theatre in which it's located. The servers were very kind and our food was excellent. It wasn't as expensive as we thought it was going to be. The red wine was excellent and also was surprisingly inexpensive. You're also allowed to write on the walls so we were able to leave our mark for years to come. The restaurant doesn't open until 7pm. We got there at 7 and we were able to get in and order our food before the big rush of people afterwards.

What a treat to the senses when you eat inside a UNESCO classified grotte (cave) that is directly attached to the ancient Roman site of Aurosio (old Roman settlement for the city now called Orange). It is literally next to the old Temple and Théatre Antique d’Orange. Their Fish Filet with truffle risotto and Squid ink linguine with Gambas in orange reduction sauce were a delight. Their wine selection is good. Take a date there or simply enjoy a date with history.

We arrived right at opening after a cold and windy day,and enjoyed Barbara’s charm and delicious food. We also had the Vita Dulce which had a variety of delights including tiny shrimp salad, roasted vegetables, and sliced meat and cheese on salad. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and a beautiful view of the amphitheater. Unfortunately, I was unlucky with my entrecôte – the meat was so sinewy that I couldn’t chew it. Perhaps if you are French, you have a better chance of getting a good cut. The rest of the food and service met my expectations.

They were rude upon entry, maybe they have a problem with tourists or with children, we wouldn’t know. Making faces and rude gasps when looking at the children, serving water with a fly inside and moaning when we asked to replace the bottle. really couldn’t say why they think people will stay after acting absolutely disgusting. Left after 5 minutes and received a loud ‘merde’ to top it all off. Absolutely despicable.

Our host was not friendly. We had reservations and we were a large group of 10. We ordered soups and she never told us they were out until she brought back pizzas instead and told us they didn’t have soups anymore. Also they only had one serving left of the special fish plate. We were there at 20:00, it wasn’t that late. Someone in our party wanted butter for their bread and they wouldn’t give it to her. We just wanted to finish our dinner and leave as soon as possible

Fries from frozen bag. Rosbeef Meet - no taste. Their most expensive wine at the was a rather low quality, plain and low quantity. Bad hospitality by the lady. Empty place and still can not seat where we want. No light. The cook/chef was helpful in explaining the dish. I rarely give such low score and no tip - this was one of the places for such review. Price, by the way, on the high but is not a problem - I see the price before and I choose to pay but I expect to get, at least, above average food... not fries from frozen supermarket bag..

Absolutely fantastic meal. Stumbled on this place and had no idea I was in store for such a treat. The presentation is great and the food is phenomenal. I didn’t leave a crumb of any of it behind. Prices are reasonable. Service is great.

Absolutely superb from start to finish. Complimentary gaspachio, fresh bread rolls. The house white and red wines were excellent. Attentive service. And the food from starter to desert was superb. A bit more expensive but definitely worth it. 10/10

Food was fabulous, the presentation was amazing, however, the server was rude, and unfriendly, along with the kitchen staff. Service was mediocre at best.

Perfect place to go before a concert at the Theatre Antique. Their €31 menu was a steal. Delicious. Service was very efficient. The owner was very accommodating with our request.

Fabulous dinner at this small, 10 table restaurant. We had lobster risotto arancini for an appetizer and two excellent main entrees- a monk fish with asparagus risotto with a lemon ginger hollandaise sauce and a delicate crispy phyllo wrapped lamb with vegetables that was one of the best meat dishes we have had in France. Make a reservation and try this delicious spot! Delicious local wine and lovely host/owners

The food was really very good, but the service really really let’s the place down- it’s honestly the worst service we’ve experienced in a long time. Very hostile and negative from the outset- to the point that we had reserved a table and the head of service informed us immediately on arrival and confirmation of our booking with our 5 year old that she could not feed our child (she assumed we wanted a child’s menu; we did not, our child has a very broad palette). It took an age to actually serve us, glasses for our wine were forgotten, eye contact was repeatedly avoided, when ordering we were rudely and abruptly interrupted mid order if dishes were unavailable almost as if it were an affront to tru to order it! 🙈 Genuinely perplexed. It’s a shame as the other lady serving was pleasant and the food really good but we cannot recommend based on the very negative and uncompromising attitude of the head of service there which despite best efforts left a bad taste in the mouth.
Melissa G — Google review
Nice ambiance and we had a great lunch. High quality cooking and nice presentation. Very friendly staff. We were only the 2 of us and they were serving 3 tables of 7 guests so running the risk of 'being forgotten'. But no, we were served as it should be! Great value for money. We would strongly recommend.

It was a pleasant discovery to stumble upon La Crémaillère, a cafe that defied the usual Monday closures in Provence. This made planning on such a day quite challenging in the region. Our taste buds were pleasantly surprised by the delectable variety of lunch crepes and accompanied by a refreshing glass of rose. The amicable staff added to the enjoyment of our experience, as they were customer-oriented and accommodating.
The staff was very nice to us. Client friendly! The food was delicious. I ate a salade océane and it was really good. My sister ate a pizza and she was also happy with it. Beautiful view from the inside (on the theatre).

Soooooooo it is Right in front of the theater and has some trees providing some shade which is why we chose this place. The Pizza was mediocre, a little thick out of a weird yellowish dough.. tasted ok. The Cesar Salad was a complete joke - it had around half a kilo of feta, mayonnaise and Cesar Sauce out of a jar and no chicken.. when we asked for it we were bought a huge bowl of very dry chicken coming right out of the fridge. Most of the (student?) waiters were on there phones all the time and vaping in front of the entrance, even when carrying dishes you could see them scrolling an Instagram lol
Dr. D — Google review
Very nice location. In spite of the few people that were sitting here, it took a long time to take our order. People that sat down after us were served first. We only took some drinks. On leaving we think it is polite to say goodbye. Unfortunately there was no response from te staff, because they were nowhere to be seen.

It was nice to find a café open on Monday, the day when everything is usually closed, so it is a difficult day to plan in Provence. We were pleasantly surprised with the food. We enjoyed the assortment of lunch crêpes and a nice glass of rosé right across from the amphitheater.

Booked 3hours before and told the tables location couldn't be selected. When arrived fir dinner, table location was not good (behind à tree), many others booked with names written but they didn't agréé to swap. Very unfriendlly in the manner and answer too. Found another pizza place with very smiling service and outstanding pizza (festival cafe). Avoid if you can and prefer friendly / smiling service places 👍

We were a bit unlucky because it was especially windy. The food was decent, but nothing special. Our pizza wasn't that warm anymore but our wine was too warm at the same time. The knifes could be a little bit sharper because it wasn't easy to cut our pizza. It was a really windy day so sometimes a glass would fall over, but when our neighbour's wineglass fell the waiters didn't take action until the neighbors asked for help (at least he got a new glass when he asked). At the end our experience was mostly underwhelming, but the food was okay.

Stopped in to pick up a pizza to go. Lightning fast service and the food was ready in minutes. The pizza was a bit oblong and not cut, but tasted great. This pizza was one of the best pizza’s i’ve ever had. It was very filling, mostly because it was a thicker crust pizza (so not really an italian style crust). Owner was very nice and gave us a lot of free cold water to drink with our meal. If you are in the area, definitely check this place out!

Had pizza here. Maybe good for pick up but cannot recommend eating here. Slow service. Not polite. Long waiting until Pizza is done. Pizza is okay but not exceptional. Great and tasty pizza in Orange ( France ). We found the place as we were traveling north. Ordered it on the phone and it was ready in 10 minutes. it was surprisingly delicious. Ordered a vegetarian one and a bolognese. Both were outstanding. The veg were beautifully roasted, onion caramelised and everything. We thought the pizzas were smaller but they were pretty big, so probably would have needed only one. 26€ for both big pizzas . Totally worth it. If you are in Orange, go for a pizza here . A verry verry bad service! We where tired after 12 hours driving checked in the Hotel Ibis next to it. We went to sit in a table in the sun. The staff was sitting on another table. We told them to not worry we would smoke our sigaret first. ( ashtrays where allready in the table) a family with 2 children came and they went to a high table behind is in the back. The staff went to that family not to us só we wait patiently. Suddenly one of the Waiters came pointed to a table for 2 in the shadow and said:” you sit there’! We:? Hé:” thats for 2 persoons ) we Said because it was a big terras and due to the virus hardly no people. We Said : no. Then hé called the Female manager and also she Saïd not friendly at all: You sit there! I said we like to sit in the sun. Then she pointed to a low table in the sun Next to that family with kids while she knew we smoke!the Lady put het hands on the table and yelled with het mask on: go to that table! We laughed stood up , the lady went to the family with children and started to talk about us! and went around the corner to a pizzaria upon asking advice in the hotel ( wich function independent of the restaurant) later we came back . Restaurant and the places of our choice still free. We sat down they ignored is. We called the lady manager who was standing there 2x , the second time a bit louderwfor the winecard with she put verry obnóxios in front of U.S. but had to behave because of the other guests. We stood up and calmy walked to our hotel. What a verry verry bad people working there Un très mauvais service!

(Translated by Google) The atmosphere is pleasant and the music contributes to a good time. On the other hand, the prices are really excessive compared to the quality offered. I ordered two salads and drinks, which cost me almost €40, which is clearly excessive. As for the goat cheese salad, it was sparse: only three pieces of cheese and a fairly limited quantity of ingredients. Overall, the quality of the food does not live up to the price asked, even if the setting remains pleasant.

The beer at La Cantine Brasserie was refreshing and of high quality. The initial waiter who greeted us was extremely friendly, instantly putting us at ease. The subsequent server, although a bit aloof, didn't detract from the overall experience. The portion sizes of the dishes were generous, making it a recommended spot for a quick stopover. Additionally, for those traveling to their vacation destination and utilizing Tesla chargers, this restaurant is conveniently located along the way.
Quite possibly the best meal we have had in France!!! Service, quality and quantity wonderful. Outstanding restaurant. Thank you to all the staff and especially Emma our waitress xxx We will certainly be back when next in the area. David and Helen from South Wales

"Au salon de Charlotte" is a charming café with a lovely terrace where visitors can enjoy delicious homemade food and drinks. The Croque Carlotte with pesto comes highly recommended, as well as the tarte au citron. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is kind. (Translated by Google) Not a very welcoming place. A server who does the bare minimum in terms of service. We were only 4 customers in the salon, two of whom spoke with the managers as if there were no customers, not very professional or not at all. A stained tablecloth. A relatively thick pancake. A very poorly explained card, especially in terms of prices, so be careful. Little tip: there is a tea room right next door which seems much better.

This is the best food I ate this year, totally passed there unexpectedly and had the best food experience ever for a very good price! Texture, rich tastes together, certainly an highly educated chef! Thanks!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere lovely, but the extremely slow and bizarre service kind of ruined the experience. We arrived at 12:45 and barely got out the door in time for our 14:30 train (literally a 2 min walk). We waited a good 45 minutes just for our main dishes, possibly longer. Impossible to get someone’s attention afterwards for more water. We didn’t order wine or starters… and I would have liked a dessert but was told there would be a long wait even for a scoop of ice cream… or a café gourmand which is always composed of mini desserts prepared in the morning, so I can’t imagine how there could be a long wait). By the time the food came our toddler had eaten all the bread and tapenade and unfortunately wasted most of the beautiful fish the chef had prepared for her. It’s hard to understand if the chefs just weren’t there until 1:30pm or the waitresses were super disorganized among them, since there was a long period we didn’t see any food coming out, but nobody seemed to think anyone was hungry or had anywhere to go (despite it being a restaurant in a hotel across from a train station… so logically people often have a train to catch. ) In any case too bad that what should have been a lovely dining experience was spoiled by a mad rush to pay and get to the station.

Restaurant L'Opera offers a pleasant dining experience, especially for those seeking a simple meal. Despite being busy on our visit with a large group, the limited selection due to sold-out plates was somewhat disappointing. The service was slow, and there was an oversight in providing the drinks promptly. However, both the food and drinks themselves were satisfactory in terms of taste and quality, while being reasonably priced. Although it may not seem like much at first glance, this bistro provides delicious dishes and friendly service.

Nice place for a simple meal. We were here on a busy evening with a rather big group. As it was busy there were some plates that had been sold out, thereby limiting the choice. It took some time for the orders to be served and in the meantime they forgot to bring us our drinks. The food and drinks itself were fine and prices are in line with the quality of the food.

During my recent visit to Courtepaille Orange, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The staff provided exceptional service, making me feel welcomed right from the start. While most of the food was delightful, I found the cheese plate a bit lacking in flavor. However, the highlight was definitely the perfectly grilled chicken prepared right before my eyes on their open grill – it added an exciting touch to my meal!
The chicken was cooked to perfection on their open grill — you can watch the chefs work their magic. The whole experience was delicious and enjoyable. Plus, being so close to the highway makes it a perfect pit stop.

The owner was not honest, first she was very kind while we were ordering but later she said we had to pay 3 euros more. She talked very agressive and later she was talking to other clients about us and she closed the kitchen without warning us that she was not going to prepare our pizzas. When we discovered after turning the light off from the kitchen we were very surprised and asked for the bill. Then she charged us more for the wine and the water then we saw at the card. She begun to react very aggressive to our reaction and we decided to take the bottle of water with us ( where we paid for) but then she came after us and attacked my husband and damaged his sweater and also threw the water into my face and shouted very aggressively to us and the other clients (also from Marocco) were also very aggressive and we left and only paid for what was charged at the card. She told us before that she was closing down the restaurant to join her husband to go to Marakesh, so she didn't bother about her clients and reviews anymore. We really hope no one will ever eat her food and with her service again. It was a horrible experience. She also lied about the distance to another pizzeria where we finally got our perfect pizza's Thank you for reading this By the way we talked to her in French ( because we lived here for several years so it s not about a language difference)

After being seated, we had to wait 15 minutes to order drinks, after having to call the waiter ourselves. The food, snacks, and sushi were good, but the main courses were absolutely not fresh. We found hair on the cheese. The stir-fry sauce was sour, and by that I mean a sour, expired smell. The desserts we chose were also expired and completely sour. During our meal, we had to go to the cash register ourselves to order drinks. The staff were constantly on their phones. Definitely not recommended. Maar de hoofdgerechten waren absoluut niet vers. We vonden haar op de kaas. De woksaus was zuur, en dan bedoel ik met een zure overdatum geur. (Translated by Google) A pretty enough place, certainly, but a lack of rigor was noted. Indeed, I agree with some previous reviews, denouncing the non-existent friendliness of the staff (except when paying, of course). I just want to thank one of the waitresses who was super welcoming, smiling, and kind, the only one! What can I say about the food? Overall, it's good, however, the unthawed macarons served in a half-filled tray, so I suspect they're old. The wok? Undercooked. Nothing to add, maybe they're paid by the plate from the wok, which would explain the fact that each plate, regardless of the quantity, is dealt with in three minutes flat. Frankly disappointed. And the cherry on top, ✨the restrooms✨. To be honest, I did everything with my feet; it was so filthy that I refused to touch anything. Last point, I inquired about the price beforehand for the day of the visit, the answer was 19.90, and surprise, 21.90 at the checkout! It's only two euros, but it's not cheap. We were with a little one, falling into the children's menu formula, if we don't keep an eye on it, they count the little one as an adult meal with it.

We came to this all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant on Friday evening with 11 people, arriving at 9 p.m. Before sitting down, we checked the buffet: there wasn't much left. We asked if it would be restocked, and were told yes. Unfortunately, once we were seated, very few dishes were refilled, and they were cold. The selection was extremely limited, which is unacceptable for an all-you-can-eat buffet. We expressed our dissatisfaction, but the managers were rude and offered no goodwill. We will not return and do not recommend this establishment. An all-you-can-eat buffet that empty on a Friday evening, no less, is not serious. Malheureusement, une fois installés, très peu de plats ont été remis, et ceux-ci étaient froids. Le choix était extrêmement limité, ce qui est inacceptable pour un buffet à volonté. Restaurant
Banane Fraise is a restaurant that offers pleasant service and delectable food. The waiter demonstrates exceptional salesmanship without being forceful, displaying a keen business sense. However, the ambiance falls short, with the use of paper coasters detracting from the overall experience. Nevertheless, patrons can indulge in scrumptious crepes made from buckwheat flour accompanied by a satisfying salad. Additionally, the establishment offers delicious local wine.
We stopped by here when bumbling around Orange looking for some food and drink. We found a table that was nicely shaded outside and were quickly served by a charming waitress who managed to decipher my GCSE French. We had some drinks including a very nice cold Gin Fizz and a gorgeous iced coffee. My kids had a crepe and some sorbet. It was lovely! Just what we needed on a hot day. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this place. On first impression, the atmosphere was very nice and there was so many cool things to look at. The place is decorated to the max with very unusual and original items. Their attention to detail is great. Everything from the napkins to the table tops was company branded. The wait staff was very friendly and the waiter even spoke English. The burger I had was so delicious and the pepper sauce was so tasty on my burger and with my fries. Everything seemed so fresh and I was highly satisfying with everything. Had a very nice raclette burger. I ended up sharing this with hubby as it was too big for me. Good fries and salad served along side it. Hubby had the Smokey Fondue appetizer and it was a dish that looked good on paper but not so much in reality. Croutons for dipping (pan too shallow to actually dip) were way overly toasted. Staff were nice and efficient. The restaurant is pleasant and clean. Handy access for travelers right off the highway.

Terrible service and even worse food, yet priced like a good French bistrot. The café gourmand was the worst I've ever seen...by far: two-thirds of a cup cake split in two and not yet fully defrosted, half a chocolate chip cookie and a ramekin of panna cotta (8€). On the positive side: they put 4cl in my Irish coffee rather than their usual 2cl! (8€). I should have taken a photo, but I only thought of that when the shock and tid-bits had disappeared.

(Translated by Google) Really low experience that filled us with disappointment. Restaurant which leaves no time to think about the choice and which comes back twice in barely 3 minutes and which dares to serve the dishes when you have not even eaten half of your starter, we have never seen that! Especially since we wanted to take the time to eat and there, we had the impression that we had to leave as quickly as possible. Then comes the dish, but we didn't have any water or bread served, we had to ask the waitress who didn't come. So, we had to go and ask for what is normal and essential for a dish at the counter. Then we have sauces for the fries, they come and take them for another table. Really, the quality of service was poor and we do not recommend this restaurant and will not return. The Hotel Restaurant Campanile Orange offers straightforward accommodation with basic rooms and a restaurant/bar. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi and parking during their stay. The reception staff provides a warm and friendly welcome, making guests feel comfortable upon arrival. The hotel stands out for its excellent food, especially the delicious duck Parmentier dish. The recently refurbished showers and overall well-decorated establishment add to the enjoyable experience.
Rooms were great! The staff was excellent with their service and the location was very scenic.

First of all, don’t expect to get what you see in the pictures. We booked a room with extra junior bed - didn’t get it and no clear explanation was provided why not. Our first room there had a hole in the wall and the shower in Asian standard (no glass or even shower curtain, and it was right next to the toilet). It was supposed to be dedicated for disabled people but easily could be designed in a more human way. The next room was better but you can easily see that it differs from the listing’s pictures. It gives 90s vibes and their hairdryer probably remembers those years… They also don’t show that you exit your room directly into the parking lot. Very disappointing and bad experience.

I booked a room at a hotel through booking. I write to the reception asking for information whether the reception will be open when I arrive at 1 a.m. The hotel writes back asking me to provide my credit card number because they cannot process the payment. I reply that I do not know why this is happening and that I will pay on the spot and I only ask for information whether the reception will be open? The hotel writes back that without providing my credit card number they will not provide me with such information. This is unacceptable behavior. Edit: there is no information on booking that you should call the hotel after 10pm. besides, I spoke to the hotel reception via text messages, so there was contact with the hotel.

This is a wonderful Campanile. The reception welcome is warm and friendly. It clearly is the best we've stayed in for food, the duck Parmentier is absolutely yummy. They say there is airco in the room, but only the tiniest breeze comes out of the fan, even not enough to blow out a candle. The room didn't cool down at all! We left a day earlier because of this.

We arrived at 21:30, gate closed, check-in system did not work. We had to find another hotel.. Campanile Orange charged us for the night anyway stealing our money. When communicating with the hotel, they would only write to us in French yet miraculously, on Google, they can write in perfect English. Sad, AVOID.
