Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in West Bay

Went for happy hour and listened to a band on Tuesday. We read on a flier that they have Taco Tuesday Special. The server said they do not offer this. Although we were disappointed, we enjoyed listening to the band & watching beautiful sunset. The food and drinks were pricey so we only had appetizers & drinks. There are several other restaurants to choose from for dinner in the West End.

Fabulous place in every way - but- get the fans working !! Live music is such fun. Bar staff are fabulous. But Mr Owner - get those fans working !! Have the fish bites !

This is where all the cool foreigners go for overpriced drinks in the early evening. Location is nice, right on the beach… everything else is average at best. It’s also cash only, or they charge exorbitant fees for cash apps… which is kinda weird since even pulperías in Los fuertes take credit cards… but yeah, it’s cool to stop by for a drink and people watch the strange northern peoples trying to act like divemaster caribeños 🤣

I decided to stop by this place since I am all in for a restaurant or bar with live music. I ordered fish bites with plantain chips along with cheese burger with fries. Good food, huge portions, amazing ambience but customer service needs improvement. When you walk in, there is no one to greet you and you are on your own when it comes to grabbing the table and taking the menu. Another thing which ruined my experience was that they don't take credit cards which is a surprise considering this place is packed with tourists. They only accept payment through cash, PayPal or Venmo.

Loved my brief stop here. The bar tenders were so attentive and kind- very fast service as well. The atmosphere is super fun and there were plenty of people to talk to. Drinks were top shelf in every way. Loved my daiquiri.

Great spot for sunset drinks and an early dinner. There’s always something going on — live music, trivia, and more.

Cool 2 story beach bar directly on the water. We only had drinks, could have been a little cheaper, but $6 for a nice beer on the water not bad. The bartenders were great, very personable. Location is great

Good food, but small portions. Good price. Teriyaki bowl was delicious, but I hear that that the Everything Burrito is also a must.

Good view and nice coffee, but the service was too slow. We waited 30 minutes for breakfast, even though there were only 7 customers ahead of us.

The best Cafe/restaurant in West end! Nice, authentic, amazing food (lots of veggie options) and great service! The only problem they close at 2:30 and Wednesdays are closed too.

Cute lil restaurant with a nice view. The staff were kind, drinks AMAZING (we got a nutty monkey smoothie and caramel latte). Food was great as well. Would return!

I can’t review based on food or atmosphere but I can review on service (or lack thereof). I mean I’ve never felt unwelcomed coming into an establishment before even asking if they could seat a group of 4. We stood there for 5-10 minutes before we just went up and asked for service and they all looked at each other like who was going to answer our question…. Food or atmosphere may be good, but there’s other places with good food or atmosphere

Stopped by for breakfast. Had a good breakfast sandwich, tasty banana pancake & some fresh fruit. The food was light & refreshing. Got a couple of iced coffees with our food. Overall, good place with a view of the water & (relatively) inexpensive prices.

We loved the laid back vibe of this place! Our food came out so quickly and we had a really kind server who was willing to give us pointers as far as what to order when feeling indecisive. I had the huevos rancheros, and my partner got the pita sandwich and French toast. I'll be honest... I'd never order French toast out, but I took a bite (or a few) of his, and it was TO DIE FOR! I also loved my meal... especially the crispy potatoes! Everything was simple, but so flavorful, and gave us a true taste of Honduran cuisine.

Very good food. Anthony and his wife started this restaurant in 2008. She is the main cook for the family-run restaurant. I got the jerk chicken with plantains and it was very good. Wonderful to support a fantastic local restaurant.

The chicken was sooo good, we went 3 times during our stay in Roatan and would go back again. If you're feeling brave, and want some heat, be sure to ask for "Jasser Style". So dang yummy.

Don’t hesitate to stop at Anthony’s Chicken. We took their jerk chicken, everything was fresh, hot and tasty. Excellent quality food for the price. Service was good and owner his friendly and kind. I highly recommend.

Personally, this is the best local restaurant without frills on the island if you ask me. We stayed at the other end of the island past Loretta’s and we made the walk into town at least 3 times for their food. Freshly grilled fish and sides for $15?! Order ahead if you can and avoid the long wait. No AC but the food was always worth it.

My wife was craving some jerk chicken so that's how we ended up here. It was a pleasant little hole on the wall place with a very friendly and attentive staff of locals. the food was pretty nice, not the best jerk chicken I've eaten but still nice. If you have a bad back all the chairs here have no cushions at all so just a word for the wise. This place is inexpensive $$/$$$$$

Wanted to give a shout out to this fantastic restaurant right on the water! The owners were super wonderful to talk to, (we found out that Anthony’s is name for the owner and his son in celebration of their family). Best jerk chicken that I have had so far on the island, increíble view, beautiful plants everywhere and super cool art. You will love it!!! The food was delicious! It was so tasty and made with quality ingredients. This family-owned restaurant is amazing. We asked if I could get a vegetarian plate and they were able to prepare such a flavourful meal!

Pazzo Italian Restaurant was an incredible dining experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch—attentive without being intrusive. I had the spicy beef pasta, and it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauce had just the right amount of heat to enhance the flavors without overpowering them. The quality of the ingredients really stood out. I didn’t have an appetizer this time, but based on the main course alone, I can confidently say this is a place worth returning to. Looking forward to trying more dishes on the menu! Highly recommend.

Excited to come back this May!!! Found this amazing restaurant last year and though my trip was only a few days, this was the only restaurant I made sure to come back to. The food is fresh and incredible. Johnny has set out to do something exceptional in Roatan and he has succeeded. Make a point to put this on the short list of must try in Roatan!!! Owner Johnny was very friendly and greeted us after we sat. Had probably the best tasting Bruschetta and my fruit de mare pasta was delish! The great part also was BYOB. We certainly enjoyed our evening. The food was delicious! Must visit!

Words cannot explain my experience here! The owner Johny invited my fiancé and I himself. The food melted in your mouth so rich, the steak the shrimp and pasta with spicy red sauce, the mussels and it was BYOB . The pasta was rich omg we will be back, it was like a drop of Italy in Roatan! Thank you sooooo much Johny our brother from another!

This place has the most underrated Italian dinner on the island AND the service is top-notch! It’s basically a porch that can seat maybe 20 people at a time - you must have reservations. And it’s BYOB. We always bring food home because the portions are huge! Finally, the price point is totally reasonable- $20ish a plate.

This place is a little fancy. You might need a reservation. Wearing shorts is no big deal, but you might want to put on a polo shirt. I had the meat lasagna, and it was freaking great.

Found this unassuming place while walking the West End. It's name belies what is here....authentic Italian food! And, the food is AMAZING. Georgia greeted us and introduced us to the wonderful menu items for the day. This place was so outstanding, we actually ate there twice during our stay. I had the squid ink, lobster/cheese stuffed (rather large) tortellini with shrimp while one of my mates had a seafood linguini - perfect al dente pasta with tantalizing clams, mussels, squid and shrimp in a creamy, garlicy sauce. Both served with a crispy outside, tender inside slice of bread (so no sauce would go to waste). The second visit, we tried the deep fried pizza (almost like a cracker with still some chew), simply dressed with a red sauce and basil. Simple, but delicious, as was the fried ravioli. Other's with me had the eggplant parm, canelloni and lasagna...all scrumptious. Other than the charm and attentiveness of Georgia, the other nice surprise was the price. It was very reasonably priced and less than I would've expected. Next time I'm in Roatan, I'll be sure to dine here again!

One of my favourite restaurants in West End! I went twice here on my 1-week vacation and both times the atmosphere and food were incredible. First time: I got a delicious homemade tagliatelle with pesto sauce. After going to Italy last year, I haven’t found pasta that tops Italian pasta until this location. You could tell the pasta was freshly made and sauce was made from scratch. Second time: I decided to try one of their specials. I got the gnocchi with black truffle and ricotta. It was incredible, every bite was a burst of flavour in your mouth. Both times: I got the aperol spritz which came in a comedically tall glass — it was delicious! The atmosphere was also amazing. They have swings that you can sit on to eat your meal which makes the experience so fun. Highly recommend!

This is our family’s #1 favorite Italian restaurant to eat at the West End. At first we thought this place was a bar with the limited seating and based off the name of the restaurant. We have eaten here a few times in one week and loved every meal we ordered. The lasagna is absolutely the BEST I have ever had, the Chef’s special, Traditional Tortellini in Creamy Parmesan Sauce & Truffle Oil, and Cappelliacci in Ribs Sauce were amazing. The kids also loved the pizza. The Tiramisu and Panna Cotta desserts were delicious. The Italian couple are so friendly and we absolutely loved the atmosphere here.

Loved this super cute little Italian restaurant! Reservation recommended. There are so many specials to try! We loved the fried pizza, the calamari was nice too. All of the pastas were delicious. We had the squid ink pasta with clams and the penne vodka, the vodka sauce was some of the best I've had. Don't skip dessert! Awesome tiramisu, mascarpone ice cream and of course espresso with sambuca

Best meal we had in Roatan. Started with the Caprese salad, which was enough for two people at least. Then we had an incredible tagliatelle Bolognese, calzone, and ravioli stuffed with burrata topped with shrimp in a pistachio pesto. All were wonderful. A nice Aperol spritz and a Montepulciano accompanied it. Can’t say great things about this place.

Easily one of the best italian restaurants I've been to. The owner is super friendly and takes the time to explain his menu and specialties in very helpful details. We had the Big Gnocchi filled with bacon and smoked scarmoza cheese in gorgonzola and the Ravioli stuffed with burrata in pistachia pesto with shrimp, the flavors felt like they were engineered to fit together. A must if you're in Roatan!

There are no words to describe this place the pizzas, the pastas, the tiramisu… everything is just amazing! 😍 From the service to the food, it’s all perfect. My favorite spot, with GREAT prices !!!

Located in West End strip; seafood, chicken or beef is on the menu. Walkable if staying in West End. Water taxi guide “Captain Raymond” recommended the whole grilled red snapper which came with choice of two sides. Can opt for fried. Delicious. Happy hour 2-6pm; drink specials were 2 for $12USD. Have to be the same cocktails. Opted for margaritas. Strawberry better than lime. Special of the day was 3 lobster tails for $22USD. Service was great and lovely spot to watch the sunset.

Coconut shrimp and cracked conch were delicious! Very decent Bloody Mary with a great view while we ate. Our server was fantastic too!

Fish Sandwich was great…everyone in our group liked what they ordered. I loved the BBC drink. Lots of people selling items on the Beach. Overwhelming at times for people that have a hard time saying no. They are not part of BEACHERS BAR & GRILL.

Really enjoyed our time at Beachers! I ended up booking the same day and the manager was extremely kind and accommodating to get us transportation to the beach (which is included in the $35 per person day pass). Our driver Marco met us at the port and got us safely to Beachers. We let him know what time we wanted to leave upon our arrival and he was waiting and ready for us at that time. The waiters and beach attendant were friendly too! The beach chairs are a bit crowded but the water is gorgeous and spent most of the time in the ocean — definitely recommend walking down the beach a bit for beautiful scenery and pictures.

Beachers Bar and Grill is a must visit destination, if ever you are in roatan. It is located in West Bay, and it may take time to find it, but you will not regret. I was lucky to be here on Monday night, their lobster special and live music is unforgettable. Three freshly grilled lobster tails for around $20, with salad and mashed potatoes. Tails were not skimpy, instead meaty and flavorful. The live music, by a Honduran performer, with just a guitar, played and sang beautifully, lots of nostalgic American tunes. He could win, AGT hands down. The night ocean views at this restaurant are heart stopping. Just remember that there is a 15% tax on all food. If you order alcohol, there will be an 18% added tax to that beverage. If you are okay with that, the service and unique ambiance, will not disappoint. Clearly, a destination for the memory books.

This place is a must of you are in the area! The view is spectacular, the drinks are amazing and the food is always delicious!! The staff are super friendly and helpful, and we found that they just go one step further to make your time their special!

We ate a late lunch on Friday. Our server was attentive. The menu items were reasonable priced. We were able to lounge on the beach chairs after.

I’ve had a lot of chicken in my life, but nothing comes close to what I experienced at Creoles Rotisserie Chicken. Hands down, the best chicken I’ve ever had! I visited this place multiple times during my stay, and every single visit was amazing. The food is consistently delicious, juicy, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is cozy, and there’s a small, charming shop inside that adds a nice local touch. The staff were always incredibly kind and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you’re in the area, you have to stop by. Highly recommended!

The 1/2 chicken was AMAZING. Incredibly tender and flavorful. The garlic yucca was also a great surprise!! Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Amazing jerk chicken. I’ve had it all over, this is as good as it gets. Lots of stray cats here, so come prepared… if you like cats that’s a plus, if not get it to go 🤣

Some of the best meals we ate on the island! We had dinner one night. The chicken was delicious and juicy. The sides were all amazing-the coconut rice and beans was phenomenal, the beans were great, and wow the yuca! We had breakfast a different day (they open at 9 am). Portions were big. Prices were fair. And the food was very tasty! Last but most importantly: the pies!! Wow they were phenomenal. My husband said the key lime pie is possibly the best key lime he’s ever had in his life. And the coconut cream pie was so good we had it multiple days!

Great chicken. Done simply and well. One of the highlights of the west end. The corn tortillas are pretty awesome too.

Spectacular! I had been waiting for an entire week to come to Creole's and it was totally worth it. I had the rotisserie chicken, potato salad and the beet salad. I had missed this creole flavor for so long that my taste buds were having a huge party. The service by Dola and her staff was just superb and incomparable to another other place I had been to on the island. The staff is very friendly and you'll be welcomed by her dogs and cats also into a great ambience. I would highly recommend eating here.

Creole’s Rotisserie Chicken is hands-down one of the tastiest spots in Roatán — a perfect blend of island comfort and incredible flavor. Had our Christmas Eve dinner here :) friendly staff and delicious food! We had the seafood pasta. Baby back ribs and the short ribs. We had the steak tartar and Buffalo cheese and squash appetizers. Everything was delish:) must try !

We absolutely love this place. Food and service are always on point. Best ribs around, and you won’t want to miss the firecracker cauliflower. This is also the ONLY restaurant in the world where I order a ribeye (I’m typically a filet girl). Delicious!

When I recently visited Roatan Oasis, it was only open Wed - Fri, that too, for only a few hours every night. Before arriving in Roatan, I communicated with the restaurant and got swift replies, to all of my questions. The month of October featured their small plates menu, which the management graciously sent me (at mutual request), in advance. I like small plates for two reasons. For one, I am not a big eater. Secondly, small plates give you the chance to taste different dishes. I chose the lamb lollipops to start, actually more like two small lamb chops, when they arrived. They were moist, perfectly charred and with satisfying flavor. Nice optics. For my second dish (which turned out to be the final one), it was the lamb kofta and chicken kabobs. After ordering it, I was curious to see if they could grill two different meats, on the same skewer to succulent perfection. Yes they did. Nice aromas, intoxicating taste, tender, tasty and well presented. The place gets crowded and it is very loud in there. Expected I suppose, for a popular dining destination. I had a chance to speak to the owner too and provide the due conpliments. It was a treat to be here. In my opinion, one of the best, if not the best, restaurants on the island.

Excellent food, top notch service. I recommend making a reservation in advance. Kudos to the chef, I had their special which was lamb shank in a curry sauce with rice and a bomb yogurt sauce. This was so good! My husband had the baby back ribs and omg they were so tender and tasty! Highly recommend!!!

The Roatan Oasis is an indoor setting and open patio setting restaurant. (My wife called it a tree house.) The staff were very nice and accommodating, remember you are on an island and things are more relaxed here. The food was great (I know cause I got to try some from everyone in my group).

We walked up from the West End for a family dinner. We tried the cauliflower, tuna tacos, short rib, vegetable risotto, and ribs. Everything was amazing with lovely flavors. I would say the cauliflower is a MUST try. Amazing place 😊

Extremely well thought out menu; very creative and well done. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, and you'll likely need a reservation. The food quality, unique flavors, and the knowledgeable and friendly service make RO my favorite restaurant on the island!

Cozy & congested sittings, nice view. Food could be better. Grilled vegetables tasted fresh and delicious. Curried potatoes- potatoes were not fully boiled. Grilled whole fish - could be little bit spicy. English menu available. Accept credit card. Staffs speak English & helpful.

Been one of the best places to eat not just on west end but on the island for many years. Everything is good here. I recommend coming to eat here at least once during your stay. Staff is friendly and attentive. It gets a little warm on the hottest of days so plan to come later in the evening if you’re not used to the heat in the islands!

Empanadas were delicious. We came back just for those before we left the island. The table bread is soft and flavorful. I ordered the skirt steak medium and it was a little under (but I’d prefer that over overcooked) with the rice and beans and curry potato’s. I do wish the potato’s had a stronger flavor to them but overall a delicious meal.

We came to have a stake dinner and indeed, the stakes were very good. They did arrive Medium as asked although a bit burnt on the outside. The restaurant is a bit pricey and prices are in $US. The portions were in good size.

One of the best filets I’ve ever had. Best chimichurri I’ve ever had. Twice baked potato is also very good- also slathered with chimichurri 😂. Key lime pie is also delicious 🤤.

We absolutely loved Ginger’s Caribbean Grill! We ended up eating here three times during our stay because the food was consistently fresh and delicious. The chicken fried steak special was a standout - perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was always prompt and friendly, and we really appreciated the personal touch when the owner stopped by our table to chat. The relaxed patio overlooks the water, creating a beautiful setting for a meal, and there’s even a small beach where you can take a swim if you feel like it. Great food, warm hospitality, and a perfect waterfront island vibe - highly recommend!

I came here on a recommendation and enjoyed a delicious burger with grilled pineapple - my favorite! Service was quick, vibes were lively, and I wish I could have spent more time here before our cruise ship boarded for departure. I had an absolute blast overall and would go out of my way to come back again if I ever found myself in Honduras!

We ate at Ginger's twice during our visit to Roatan in June 2025. The food is excellent and the view is gorgeous. The orientation on the bay means you can sit in the shade and enjoy a cool drink and delicious food and just hang out!

We came in on a Sunday after just wandering around West End. So happy we found this gem of a restaurant! We sat on the patio overlooking the water. We ordered the shrimp tacos and the fresh fish of the day. Everything was cooked to perfection and was super yummy! The service was excellent. I think it was the owner who came over and made sure everything was up to par. Oh, and if you like mojitos, be sure to try their frozen one. It is probably the best I've ever had!

What a cool and chill place. My family and I had an amazing time. We arrived a bit early and they were kind enough to let us hang out and order from the bar. Food was great and probably the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. We did have a guide who had his own set of recommendations but Ginger's came highly recommended and the view was amazing. Also there was a dog swimming having the time of its life. Super chill and fun vibes.

The food here was amazing! And the view was even better! We went decided to grab a bite to eat after snorkeling right outside their back patio. They let us sit outside at one of their tables in our wet suites. The service was outstanding! I asked our server what was good and, he told us some things that were off the menu. Our server also checked on us so many times. It was nice. My brother got the special for the day and everyone else at my table got the lobster wrap. Everything was delicious! We also got pina coladas!

An absolute must if you’re on the island. The menu is full of amazing dishes. We all ordered something different and every plate was a 10/10. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. And the cinnamon rolls were out of this world. Thanks for the amazing food!

Owned by fellow cowboy owners, so this place is already a win in my book. Highly highly reccomended getting the garlic sweet potato fries. We also really enjoyed their cinnamon roll. Recommend having it when it’s hot instead of having it later when it’s just warm. Great ownership and fantastic service.

Considering the high touristy prices the restaurants in West End are charging, finding a decent plate of food worthy of the prices is a challenge. If you miss good quality food, with American proportions, Sandy Buns is the place. Great breakfast, awesome burgers and the services is excellent. In my next trip I will certainly visit them again.

Great Texan-American place with amazing burgers, yummy breakfast and excellent cinnamon rolls. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. After 2.5 weeks of vacation in Honduras, being served the American way (glass of ice water, quick and friendly service, etc.), was very refreshing.

Sandy Buns, oh Sandy Buns! Your food is delicious, staff are amazing and the ocean view superb! The food! Bountiful, tasty, scrumptious. The breads, and oh my; the cinnamon rolls. Did I mention hot dog Fridays and the beef brisket, the sausage gravy is to die for😋 If there is one place you cannot miss on the island Sandy Buns, is it!!! Locals, cruisers and tourists make sure to visit!!!

Omg!!! Cinnamon rolls are made to be shared, they are huge! Owner has a great story and he will gladly take tale to welcome you for coming! Each of us had something different and everything delicious!

Ate breakfast here, had the Mother Clucker, soo good, spicy! Also took back some cinnamon buns that were really tasty. Quick service, right there with water, coffee, refills, highly recommend.

Had an excellent Sunday brunch and bottomless mimosas! The food was great and the service very good. We went to the beach afterwards and we were able to use their beach chairs and umbrellas without an additional charge. Bonus is - you can park at Mayan Princess at no charge also. We will definitely go back!

San Simón Beach Club has truly perfected the Sunday brunch experience. The food is absolutely amazing — the ceviche is incredibly fresh and delicate, bursting with flavor. The mini waffles make for a great little appetizer, and the quesadillas are an immaculate breakfast choice, perfectly prepared and satisfying. The bottomless mimosas are another highlight — with multiple fruit juice selections, they add the perfect element to a relaxed, island-style brunch. Combine that with the beautiful beachfront atmosphere, and you have one of the best brunch spots in Roatán. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the beach with reserved loungers, umbrellas and tables. The unlimited drinks were delicious with a full drink menu. Beach massage was so relaxing. Clean beach. The five course dinner was delicious and served with great presentation. We highly recommend this for a day of relaxation.

This place is gorgeous and right on the water. They did a great job with the decor. We came here on a weekday so it wasn’t too busy. Our server was really friendly and helpful. If you’re staying in West Bay and you want to try different dishes I definitely recommend coming here. The reason why I’m giving the restaurant 4 starts instead of 5 is because my salmon was overcooked but the flavors were really good.

This place was absolutely amazing. Wonderful service and fantastic food. Definitely recommend making reservations for dinner. The atmosphere was so relaxing. We came back again for the summer and the menu has changed! Still just as good, portions seem a little smaller but still great service and good food.

this place is horrendous. food took ages to come from kitchen and was cold, received attitude when spoke to waiter about it. atmosphere kind of mid and owner seemed too up himself. definitely not worth the hype or money, will not return

I can’t even begin to describe how delicious these pizzas are! The owner hand makes everything and he uses quality ingredients so you can literally taste the freshness in every pizza. Honestly the best I’ve tried on the island! Since they make it all fresh every night, I even recommend you message them beforehand to make sure they have some pizza left. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy while still giving local vibes. They also offer some drinks, and dine in and takeaway is available too. Junior’s is by far my n1 place on the island for pizza, we’re making this a weekly visit!

Crust and sauce homemade. Toppings fresh and generous. Some of the best pizza we have ever had. Had to go back a second time before heading back home. Can’t wait to come back!

Met Junior out at the bars and he told us about his pizza shop so we decided to give it a try the following night. The pizza was SO GOOD! You can taste all of the fresh ingredients. My husband loved it so much that he ate 5 slices! Super chill spot. Will be back when we come to West end.

Junior's patio pizza is one of the best I've ever had. Crust was thin & crispy. No flop. Under carriage was just right. Our basil was had picked from the garden in the front yard. Cooked to perfection. The cook came out to talk to us and was very appreciative of our visit. Ambiance was nice. I love this place. Enjoy. P.S. a little hard to find. Opens at 5:30. Update: moved down the hill to the east in the Coconut Tree Plaza.

If you’re in Roatan, you cannot go past a pizza from Juniors. I’m well - travelled and never had a better pizza in all my travels. Best pizza in the world - no cap! You have to try it to see why the 5 star review!!

We went at around 7 pm on Saturday night and they close at 8 pm. It is a quaint, casual restaurant. They only had a few items left. We ordered shrimp curry and conch fritters & each dish came with 2 sides. The food was ok and pricey.

Meal was nothing special. I was expecting a more flavorful meal after reading the reviews. We were the only ones there until a second couple arrived. Service was friendly. We had the blackened snapper. Cocoanut beans really didn’t have any coconut flavor that we could detect. $41 for the 2 dishes with no drinks. They don’t give receipts for some reason. Cash only and they add 15% to the bill. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back.

If you are looking for local Honduran flavors, one of the recommendations (they said), would be to visit Lorettas’s. It is at West End. A small open air eatery that is popular with the locals and tourists. There are about 5 well appointed tables. The menu is basic but can satisfy the hungry. I ordered the grilled fish (snapper I later learned), in their special spiced recipe. The fish seemed pan fried and tasted exactly like a cajun spice. It was succulent and flaky. Very fresh, because I even questioned if it was not Tilapia because it was falling apart. The kidney beans, lacked a unique flavor. They were sweet and reminded me of the canned stuff you get in the States. It took about 30 minutes to get the food out. That is not a problem. They had numerous carry outs. The service was indifferent. Customer service is a department they need to work on.

This appears to be a popular stop for tour groups. The food was decent, though somewhat overpriced in my opinion, and it didn’t seem cooked to order. However, it was still flavorful. Service was good and the staff was friendly.

What a cool place! We brought in a black fin tuna we caught and had it cooked up in the late afternoon. We were the only ones in there and enjoyed how authentic everything was. This is a place to taste and experience true Honduran food. You can feel the love in every bite.

I am in Roatan now for the past 4 days and I've been trying to make it here. First night was too late then the next day we walked over there and it was closed by 6:30. Yesterday we got in too late again. Today I messaged them on WhatsApp at 6 and thankfully they were open. My daughter wasn't even that hungry. But I really wanted to try this place based on so many recommendations. I'm so glad I got the chance. I wanted everything on the menu but I settled for the curry chicken and rice and beans and my daughter got coconut shrimp with rice and Plantains. The portions are generous. The food was delicious, service was excellent and it was so inexpensive. I probably could eat here every day if it were up to me. I don't think my daughter would be happy. But u surely would be.

We didn’t see what the fuss is all about, prices are expensive no pride or finesse in platting or presentation . We ordered coconut shrimp which were ok but the oil dripped out of the shrimps on first bite. We asked for a recommendation. Of a house specialty ? They suggested curry chicken so disapointing thick rubbery chicken strips, the most liquid and tasteless curry sauce ever and canned beans and plain white rice. It’s a nice place to visit and get to know a bit more of the chocolate & cacau history. You have the free tour upstairs and the café downstairs with a small shop to buy chocolates, gifts, etc. You can go only to the cafe if you want, it was what we did. The cakes are goooood, the coffee is average and the environment is nice.

We discovered this place while on our cruise and were so profoundly inspired by it that upon returning home, we promptly placed an order for more chocolate!! The most exquisite and transcendent chocolate experience ever!! We will undoubtedly be ordering again!

A must visit we watched chocolate being made on premises, free sampling and coffee and chocolate goodness on the first floor. Chocolate making happens on the second floor. Please remember your in another country. Enjoy there culture.

Here on a ship excursion. Was very busy, noisy and crowded. Chocolate samples were excellent, with numerous flavors and percentages of cacao. I did not purchase anything even though I got the usual hard sell. They did had a little talk about cacao and the manufacturer of chocolate. Numerous touristy shops around also with obnoxious vendors pressuring you to buy/purchase something.

Saw bad reviews before we go, we decided to get 5 bars to try. It’s actually tastes as good as samples. We were there 1/7 and All bars printed before the day we go, I opened oldest one which is 10 days from now still tastes fresh and good. Package is only use foil wrapped around no seal so I put the whole box in ziplock.

Roatán Chocolate Factory is a sweet adventure you don’t want to miss! From bean to bar, they show you the whole process behind making real, rich, and delicious chocolate. Don’t leave without grabbing a bar (or five) of their local creations.

Good place to visit for sweets (no lunch anymore). Carmelita is delicious! Head to second floor to see how they make their chocolate bars from cocoa. You can taste free samples of all the different chocolates they make.

Great food! We had coconut shrimp. Dish fillet with passion fruit glaze , streak, and hubby went with traditional burger(no pic). Large portions and great service.

If you are a foodie, you have a list of restaurants to visit, and then, do you have enough time? So one has to prioritize, allocate time slots. As it transpired, the Argentinian Grill in West Bay (where my hotel was), could only fit for the morning. To top it, it was raining. I like rain, so this blessing of nature was not an impediment, instead a reward to watch nature in its wonder. After arriving at the restaurant, I was greeted warmly. What is not remarkable is the menu. Standard concoctions. I chose a simple breakfast dish. Two eggs over easy, a tortilla, refried beans (which were clumpy), avocado. Also asked for the included crema not to be sprayed on the eggs and delivered on the side. It was a good move. Eggs were tasty, tortilla was superb. Nice place. They just need to revamp their menu.

Customer service is horrible. First drink a fly flew in the cup. He came back and poured it in a different cup. We could tell because there was no slush just like we had the first. We mentioned it and he had denied it. He talked to manager and they stared and laughed when I had mention it. Food is bland with no flavor.

This place was great! We arrived and they set up an umbrella, table and two lounge chairs right on West Bay Beach. Jonathan was great and making sure we got drinks and food throughout the 4 hours. The beef empanadas were hands down our favorite though the beef tenderloin sandwich was also really good.

We ate lunch mid-week. It wasn’t busy. We ate in the other Argentinian Grill West End and this restaurant offered similar menu except for the sides. We enjoyed our lunch and hang out in the beach chairs afterwards.

Wonderful!!!!!! We ate here twice. Hint - sub the tenderloin for the skirt steak on the lobster combo. The house chops were the best side. The twice baked was good. The cheese app is loaded with olives - was tasty, but some didn’t like the olives. The buffalo shrimp were not plentiful enough for the price. Go for the steam and lobster. Enjoy the view and experience.

So the food here is worth the wait, but if it is busy you will be waiting a long time. There was live music. Everything was made to order, the portion sizes were great, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. We tried the burger, the chicken fingers, and the pulled pork wrap, I would recommend all of them. The fries were the best I’ve had on the island.

Cool Canadian addition to the food around the area. Very laid back vibe. Truly hangover greasy food to the max and all looked delicious! Also, service was quick so always a plus. The owner waited us, he is super nice and gave some good tips for around the island. Going back to try more for sure!

Best burger on the island (without trying all the burgers on the island)! You can add as many toppings as you want, for no extra charge!! Egg, avocado and bacon are included in that toppings list! 😯👏🏼😊 Fries were really good the first time, but I think we got the bottom of the barrel the second time we visited… so hit or miss, but I’d bet yours will be good. Cash only… or PayPal. Didn’t try the bathrooms, so cannot comment on that.

I can’t read that menu and not get EVERYTHING on that burger!! It was delicious! I’ve never had pineapple on a burger but I lived it! Staff was friendly! Ambience was great! Drinks were cold! Love it!

A great selection of burgers, wraps, drinks (including a Caesar). Probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had with a generous selection of various selectable toppings.

The hangover hut felt like a home away from home. We visited one afternoon for a quick bite to eat, which turned into 2 more visits. The food is reasonably priced and is very tasty. Definitely get the poutine! The key lime pie is out of this world, which is why we returned. But the real deal is the owner and his staff, they treat you like family. If you are looking for an authentic Honduran restaurant in Roatan, you have to come to Calelu’s. Although it has its name as a grocery store, it has a hot case and a menu, with both downstairs and upstairs restaurant seating. It has a good island vibe, there is music and the interior decor upstairs with shocking pink and blue tables and chairs is unforgettable (see my pictures). Since this eatery is located in the West End, I took the cheaper option of a water taxi from my place of stay, in West Bay. I sat upstairs, was provided a nice menu and of course, they were pushing the Langosta. So you get 2 cola de langosta (lobster tails) $23 USD. Comes grilled, with 2 sides (I had both as rice and beans). The tails were small, but plumpy, succulent, well grilled and full of flavor. Service was attentive, friendly, caring and nothing short of excellent. Fully worth the additional private $25 round trip water taxi fare, from West Bay, just to have lunch here. Clearly, one of the best Honduran restaurants on the island.

The Baleadas were amazing. We got a chicken and chorizo and they were both perfect. Best on the island by a long shot!! Upstairs has a great ocean breeze to get out some of the heat.

Calelu’s is a must try when visiting the West End of Roatan. I stopped by for lunch after hearing many reviews raving about this restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was very tasty yet affordable. I had a Chicken Baleada which was amazing, it was well seasoned and surprisingly filling. I also had their Lobster and wow, it was amazing. The Lobster was tender and flavourful, and a good size for the price. Service was quick and friendly. They also have a grocery store on the ground floor if you need to get other items. I’d highly recommend everyone to check out Calelu’s. I plan to return when next I’m in Roatan.

Calelu’s is an over hyped greasy spoon joint that is half a bodega and half a restaurant. While waiting to order food your face will melt from the heat as the kitchen area does not have an exhaust system. Also ladies behind the counter could not be bothered with taking orders or serving customers. The subject of customer service is altogether unknown to them. I was told the Baleadas were good, they were not. They are cheap compared to what you find in that touristy row of restaurants, but I Not only didn’t find the food special I found the place to be hectic, noisy and somewhat dirty. I had a Baleada with eggs avocado and queso. It was soooo salty I choked on the first bite, later I learned when they say queso they mean salt. Anyhow, for a quick cheap bite it’s an ok greasy place but definitely not a place you want to go out for dinner. If you go to Calelus go upstairs, it’s much better, downstairs seat are terrible in the middle of all that hustle n bustle.

Wow! The balaedas were pretty good. We had the pork and chicken ones. I thought the pork one was better than the chicken. For our mains we had fried fish with French fries and fried ribs with sweet plantains and rice and beans with 3 cocktails and a papaya smoothie. The fish and fried pork were well seasoned. The rice wasn’t great as they gave me hard old rice but I’m sure if it was fresh it would have slapped. Overall very good and more on the traditional Honduran side which is what we were looking for.

Absolutely delicious traditional Baleada s Amazing flavor and prices. And the best seafood is upstairs. Caviche is great. Carla was a great server so pleasant and informative id ask for her by name.

Dine here if you wish but be VERY careful in Karim is your server. The following is an e-mail that I sent to the owner, which was never responded to: "Dear Uma, My name is Xxxx Xxxx, and I have had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant Calelu's three times since my arrival in Roatan. Each time has given me an insite into the rich culinary traditions of Honduras. Unfortunately on my 4th visit, tonight, my friend and I came in to dine and had Karim as our server. I will keep the account of our interactions as brief as possible and just highlight the most troubling portions. When Karim brought my food to the table, after almost an hour, the ceviche order was incorrect. He asked if I would eat it, I said I would rather not, and that I could not wait for it to be replaced because I had an early dive scheduled. Soon after, he brought my friends' food. Dropped it off and left. As soon as she lifted the tortilla, she realized it was not what she ordered. She had wanted chicken ribs but was served fried chicken instead. I advised her to go downstairs and explain the problem to Karim. When she did this, he put his hand in her face and said, "You need to go." She was shocked and said, "Ok, could we have the bill for the two drinks." He put his hand back up, raised his voice, and said, "You need to go now." She came upstairs to get me and explain the situation. I packed to leave and saw Karim coming up the stairs. I very quietly said to him that his reaction to the situation was unprofessional and very hurtful. He then repeated the performance in front of the entire upstairs and told me to get out as well. Needless to say, I was shocked. I asked him for his name, and he said, "No servers have names here." When we descended the stairs, I ran into another staff member and asked for assistance. She was equally disturbed by my account and said, "This is not the first time this has happened." The server then directed me to speak to the young woman in the convenience store. She was the one who was kind. Enough to give me your contact information. After three amazing visits to your restaurant, this last one has really put a damper on our vacation. I wanted to make you aware of the situation and I hope to leave it to your best judgment on how to handle it. Thank you very much for the time you took to read my e-mail. Sincerely, X"

They are not open unless you've booked in advance, one day. They only serve three tables at max unless you are a big group booking far in advance. I was lucky that someone else had booked and they let me in too for a serving. The two that live here and own this place are the coolest nicest down to earth life lovers. The atmosphere is a hippie like vibe, my vibe, and the food was top level, and I do go to Michelin restaurants. This visit will be one of my top experienced in my life.

Our family of 10 had the most beautiful experience with our most lovely hosts! The food and wine - excellent. Atmosphere- cool, funky, inviting, eclectic, amazing art( the tour of the studio so special!). Hosts: excellent communication, so attentive to our various needs and wants. Cannot tell you how much we were absolutely touched by their kindness and pure spirits. Places like this make me sad that the default rating for a decent restaurant is 5 stars. This place truly deserves five stars. Everything was amazing. The food was wonderful, the ambiance was unbelievable, and the service was super friendly. You have to make a reservation ahead of time, and they are not always open. Absolutely give this place a try.

This place is that off the beaten path experience you're looking for. The restaurant is ran by two gentlemen, seating is limited so you're getting a whole experience, we only had 4 other parties enter with us and most were 6 or less persons. The food is excellent and the ambiance is eclectic and charming. Plus there is the added bonus of the opportunity to interact with the owners extremely well behaved dogs and have a lovely conversation with the owner or chef, but you may also get to feed a colony of fruit bats! Which is honestly the best thing ever. Solid 10/10 for me, but I enjoy the quiet and simple, that give me more of an open and friendly feeling.

This was easily the best food that we had on the island after two weeks of being here. And this place is so unique, wonderful, and magical, that I recommend you don’t miss out on this place. My girlfriend and I both had steak and two potatoes (because we love potatoes) and it was so good! And the dessert was amazing too! This was such a nice, relaxed, and wonderful evening! Nice little spot with so many lights and decorations. It is definitely a labor of love kind of spot where you can come and have a glass of wine- relax. The proprietor and cook are very friendly and amicable folks. Appreciated them very much. The light went out when we were served but there were candles and lights everywhere that I didn’t notice it much. Welcome to the Island Life. Haha. From the food, the best dish was the sea bass- catch of the day cooked to perfection. Chicken was a little dry and lobster thai sauce although delicious, a little underwhelming for my personal taste. Would recommend this spot for relaxing time, a glass of wine with great quirky ambience and nice people.

The Lily Pond House Restaurant is a truly unique and beautiful place. There were so many details and small things to notice and enjoy all around the space. I had the seafood pasta in red sauce which was divine. The hubs had surf and turf. I also felt very special to see the amazing artwork that Luis had made - he is truly a talented artist and chef. The ambiance and charm of Lily Pond House Restaurant is one of a kind and I felt whisked away upon walking in.

I recently visited Roatan on a solo trip and stumbled upon this absolute gem — Sea Salt. From the moment I arrived, Petra, my server, made me feel right at home with her warm and friendly personality. She even crafted the best espresso martini I’ve ever had — smooth, balanced, and unforgettable. The food was just as incredible as the atmosphere. The grilled octopus, paired with kidney beans, was cooked to perfection — tender, flavorful, and such a unique combination. And for dessert, the pineapple ravioli was truly to die for — light, refreshing, and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. As if the food and service weren’t enough, the view is breathtaking. Watching the sunset melt into the horizon over the beach was an experience in itself. Between the gorgeous setting, world-class service, and unforgettable dishes, Sea Salt isn’t just a place for dinner — it’s the spot in Roatan. Don’t miss it!

Incredible experience. Terrific food and outstanding service. Lovely setting and location - sunset views. Appreciated the amuse bouche and the after dinner cocktail. Our group had lobster pasta, grilled octopus, ceviche, beef carpaccio, and grilled hogfish. For dessert, pineapple ravioli using shaved pineapple for the wrapper. Every single dosh was outstanding. Cannot recommend more. We were pleased to discover this on our last night on the island, but disappointed that we didn't discover it early enough to eat there every night.

Just left here for my birthday dinner and it’s one of the most special meals I’ve ever experienced. Our waiter Elvis was the best. I’ll have dreams about the ceviche and chocolate surprise dessert for the rest of my days.

Let me tell you, finding this restaurant was quite the adventure, but totally worth it. The food was delicious, and I’d even say the service was better! The place is gorgeous, with a great vibe, water views, and a pool to chill by. Yeah, it’s a bit pricey, but it 100% delivers. We ordered a bunch of dishes, and honestly, they were all amazing. The octopus and tartar were hits, I loved the carpaccios, and the steaks? Really good stuff. The desserts were super interesting—definitely try the pineapple ravioli. Yummm! Big shoutout to Omar and Elvis for their awesome service—you guys made the night even better!

I was on my honey moon and this was the best dinner experience I’ve ever had. The service was outstanding, Elvis and Omar were exceptional. This food was Michelin Star caliber and deserves to be on the list. The food from the starters, entrees, and sides were packed with flavor. Will be coming back with more friends and family. This was recommended by our hotel as a great local place cooking Costa Rican food. Gotta say that it was better than almost all of the food we had last year in Costa Rica. The staff was super nice. The tropical sangria was refreshing, the chicken empanadas were outstanding and the shrimp stuffed lobster was incredible. To be right on the beach with a nice breeze topped it off. Highly recommend!

This place is great for highly sensitive Celiacs. Almost all the menu is gluten free, and the chef knows what gluten is, which is rare around the area. We came to eat almost every day and not once did we have cross-contamination issues. We tried almost every plate and drink, and there was not one thing we didn’t like. The waiters, chef and owner are super kind and nice. They have a nice relaxing atmosphere, with a fantastic sea view, and the occasional cute little humming flying by. We had a great time here.

You could say I’m pretty picky when it comes to restaurants. I expect good service, great drinks, and most importantly, amazing food. I was a little disappointed with the food in Roatan until I stumbled upon this hidden gem. Pura Vida is a gorgeous waterfront spot in Half Moon Bay. The owner’s from Costa Rica, and let me tell you, she knows her stuff. The vibe, the service, and most importantly, the food—all of it was top-notch. I ended up eating there more than once during my week in Roatan. Their empanadas are downright delicious, the fresh juices are so good they might be addictive, and the main courses? You won’t be disappointed. I’m still dreaming about that stuffed lobster dish I had — I actually went back more than once just for that! Honestly, I dare say it’s the best lobster in Roatan. Big thanks for the mouthwatering experience—can’t wait to go back!

This place all around is amazing! Beautiful little restaurant by the water. Love the atmosphere, and the food was so GOOD! I got the cold pressed juice that was so fresh. I also ordered pancakes with eggs, bacon and fruit. My husband got the steak, eggs and potatoes.

Honestly, I was expecting more. The food was good, my husband got the eggs benny with lobster and I got the coconut French toasts. He liked his, but thought they could have been better. I really liked my French toasts but very little scrambled eggs and bacon in my opinion. However, the service was pretty bad. We were left waiting for 20 minutes at a time and the server had a terrible attitude. She brought my French toasts and forgot to bring the syrup and I had to remind her and then she took another 20 mins to bring it so my food was cold and my husband was done eating by the time she came back. The chai latte did change my brain chemistry and it’s the reason I’m not ranking this place lower. I had a lot of expectation and had been dying to go and I didn’t think it met my expectations. I was there yesterday morning.

100% would recommend. The coffee is the best I’ve had on the island. The food is top notch! So good. Don’t leave the island without coming here.

I had many a breakfast in the mornings here. The women here are all very nice. Service is slow but you’re on island time! There’s wifi here and books to browse through. There is a path to the dock to have a sit at after breakfast. Beware, the outdoor couches on the docks aren’t nailed down.

Sad we waited until our last morning to try this place. The food was amazing, every bite, every side, so good. It’s out away from the main strip but man it’s a gem. Highly recommend

We ordered the polo & beef along with blackberry & passion fruit juices. So fresh, so so good. Soul nourishing good. The staff were lovely & kind as well. Can't wait to go back & will be dreaming of this hand made with love meal for a long time to come.

Nice little shop to get really good baleadas at. We got chorizo and chicken. The chorizo was delicious! The iced coffee turned out to a whipped/blended instant coffee but it was pretty tasty.

We were staying by French Harbor and decided to take a scooter ride to try this restaurant. While the place itself was charming, the experience was overshadowed by the unwelcoming service. The woman taking our order was unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome, which took away from the overall ambiance and enjoyment of the meal. A more hospitable approach would greatly enhance the dining experience.

Very nice breakfast and lunch spot! -This place is known to locals as a very good and cheap place to eat. Very good quality food too. If you ask anyone in town about good breakfast they will say here. -They open early, at 7am, so you can get here and eat breakfast before most dive shops leave for the first dive in the morning. -Simple menu, with very fair prices. best prices for breakfast in town. -I ate the same thing each time, the fruit, yogurt, and granola dish. It was a big bowl of fruit layered with yogurt. The yogurt was good, sometimes yogurt in other countries is a bit off, but this was great every time. The fruit was bananas, Papayas, and pineapple. with a good amount of granola on top. -Served pretty fast. -They do have limited seating, 3 tables in front of the window, and a side garden patio seating, but you can order for here or to go. -i didnt try the smoothies but i saw some and they looked very good. I highly recommend this local gem to everyone.

This has been my go to for breakfast and lunch, never heard of a baleada before coming down from the United States, if you love refried beans and quesadillas at all you need to try. Super delicious and very reasonably priced. I think I have ordered about ever combination available! Egg is a go to for breakfast and their chorizo is upper tasty as well!!! If your staying in west end Roatan don’t pass this place up!!!

You have to be confident about your produce to name your place CRISP in a tropical climate and they don’t disappoint. I had been eating too much fried food and really needed a healthy salad. I chose the Thai salad and was very pleased. The peanut dressing was delicious and the greens and veggies were super fresh, and of course, crisp! I added chicken which was marinated and tender but they had lots of protein options including a katsu tofu that I almost ordered. If I ever come back to Roatan I will definitely eat here again. The place was decorated with a cute mashup of prints and original art that works beautifully together and the chill contemporary music made for an all around lovely lunch experience.

The restaurant is cute and the service friendly. However, we paid $18 for a poke bowl with tuna that was well past its prime and no amount of soy sauce was going to cover it up.

The food was great. Such a nice change of pace from the standard dishes everywhere else. They try really hard to please. The drinks are equally as delicious as the food. Perhaps some window decals might help, so inside diners are not staring directly at diners outside. Please print and post a Spanish language menu. The interior ambiance is very artsy and warm. I had a quinoa Buddah bowl (no cheese) and hubby had a Poke bowl and spring rolls. Very fresh. I had the Choco Mountain smoothie and hubby had the Reset pressed Juice and he had the Wake Me up shot. Our first time to Roatan was simply amazing! Crisp was the first restaurant that we had went in the west end area and the food and drinks were very fulfilling. The service was great and the people were very helpful and friendly. Loved the hospitality.

Delicious fresh healthy options. I had Choco Mountain bowl and my wife had Pretty in Pink bowl. Both awesome. Make your way over for a great treat in the heat

Great service. The restaurant is tucked into a corner of a mall-type building. Very clean and comfortable. We had a Buddha Bowl with crisp-fried tofu, which was wonderful and a couple of salad rolls, also great. It was refreshing to have some nicely prepared fresh food. Not cheap, but nothing is on Roatan.

I think this is one of the only sushi places on the island, and I was impressed!! the decor of this place is super cool, murals on every wall. their chairs are really comfortable, like cushions on every seat, and they have about average chopsticks. a lot better than the one use ones I get at home. the food was delicious! we got the sashimi mix to start, 4 rolls, and two poke bowls. extremely fresh and flavourful. I highly recommend the sunny fire or the cangrejo loco if you’re doing rolls, and the poke if you still want fish but you’re not feeling the rolls. the service was excellent, staff was lovely, and if I went to this place in my first week I would be making a second visit.

It is a nice surprise to find a sushi place on this island. The sushi's were good in general. It is worth the try if you are craving for Japanese sushi while being on this island, the only thing is it is quite a drive because it is not near anywhere of the core areas. I deducted a star because the bill had aan additional charge after the tax line of 15%, which is not a tip, and no one could explain what it was.

This place is a must-try! We go here every time we come back. It’s some of the best sushi I’ve had. Friendly staff. Great overall service.

Absolutely amazing sushi! We loved every dish we had. Attention to detail and quality is second to none. The miso soup was the best I have ever had! Going to Dragonfly shouldn't be a matter of if; but when.

Let me start by saying we took a water taxi and ran 2 miles just to get to this place before it closed, but boy was it worth it. Dragonfly was a great restaurant to go to! We were greeted by a very lovely server, whose name I cannot recall, but she was very attentive to our needs as we had a vegan in the group. Jonah, the owner, stopped by our table and we got to talking about the amazing spring rolls and then got started on a conversation about music festivals. The inside of the restaurant has gorgeous murals painted throughout and the bathrooms were very clean. Very friendly staff and delicious food! We will be back next time we are on Roatan! Thank you!

This is a roatan hidden gem, you won’t find better sushi or cocktails out here… do yourself a favor and check it out!

Amazing sushi and Asian fusion! Wow! This restaurant opened in 2021, during the Covid pandemic. About a month or two before the restaurant opened, we had the owners/chefs come to our home and prepare a several course meal for us, which was out of this world! Now that the restaurant is open, it does not disappoint! The restaurant is in Sandy Bay, a short drive from West End and the Lawson Rock area. Great atmosphere with a beautiful mural on the wall and tasteful decor. Our favorites are the firecracker shrimp, seared tuna over mashed potatoes, tuna roll, Philly roll, and the apple cinnamon egg roll with vanilla ice cream tops off a great meal perfectly! I provided some pics but kept forgetting to take the pictures before we took bites! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, the owners/chefs and staff. Sierra was our server this last time and she was such a sweetheart! They also had a cellist playing live music which was awesome! Good drinks, great food and a casual, relaxing atmosphere!

This place looked really cute on the beach. We stopped for dinner and to get out of the rain. The service was the worst I’ve had so far and the food took a long time to come out. They weren’t packed. It was our first real dinner on the island. We just thought they were on island time until we went to different restaurants. The alcohol drinks came out in paper cups. We noticed if you sat at the bar you got a real glass. Our food came out barely warm. The lobster, shrimp tacos, grilled octopus, and seabass were good. The fried fish was just okay. So far their beans and rice have been my favorite on the island. It’s very flavorful. They did forget to make the octopus as an appetizer so it came out after we revived our plates. Our server only checked on us once and then after clearing and wiping our table off after eating it took us a while to flag him down to pay our bill.

So, it was my idea to try something close to my resort. Was tired of paying for taxis to go all over the island. The reception staff at my hotel recommended Cayuco, at the Paradise Hotel. Since this was also in West Bay, apparently 2 resorts away, I decided to give it a try. My biggest mistake was trying to get there by walking on the beach. It was dark, the tide was creeping high and it was really scary. Never do that. Take a taxi (I did so on my return). So how was the place. It is an open air restaurant, on the beach. We had a strong breeze that night. But let me not take it away from the excellent service and the food. Believe it or not, I ordered their taco special (2 Chicken and 2 Beef), before the clock ran out by 7 pm. And french fries (I had this hunger for them). Food was excellent. See my pictures.

The view was absolutely amazing!!! The food was really good!! The value was also very good!! Lobster was the same price as ribs and wings! My sons loved their pizzas (Hawaiian and margarita), my son said his wings were some of the best he’s had, I had the ribs and they were very tender and delicious, and my husband really enjoyed the lobster!! He also enjoyed his mojitos!! We definitely recommend this spot and will come again at our first opportunity.

Came here for a day from the cruise port and so glad we did! The atmosphere was calming and so beautiful. But OMG the food! So good! We had the BEST authentic Honduran sopa de mariscos and mojarra frita, a delicious club sandwich and tasty pizza for the kiddos. The service was 5 star, so friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to visit here again!

We ordered 2 of the most expensive dishes they have on the menu, which were $92 per dish plus a pizza and sodas. Shockingly we were served spoiled seafood, we noticed blackish parts on the king crab, took a bite of the lobster and was completely hard then proceeded to smell it and smelled sour and disgusting! They took an hour to bring the food and we were offered to remake the food but denied it because the kids were tired and wanted to go to bed. They apologized and removed the two seafood dishes. It's crazy that this place charges a lot of money and they don't care what they are giving to their costumers. We could have died, don't serve rotten seafood please!!!

Great view, great atmosphere, great service! The restaurant was very well maintained, the food was well prepared, think casual beach fair. We walked right off the beach and got - what my wife said, the best pina colada on west bay beach. The service was a little slow, though that is nothing to be too angry about as their location is so good. And they have swing dining. You can sit in a swing and eat and drink!

This is a fun beach side restaurant that is paired with Pizzarama. They offer a large sized menu with a great options and drinks. The prices are relatively fair and the service is great. We ordered fish burgers, calzones, fish and dips and it was all delicious. They were served quickly and were delicious, the drinks were also great and delicious. They allow for a lot of customization which also helps with having the best meal possible, we considered this to be our best meal while on the island. Being next to the beach is amazing and they sometimes offered entertainment which was fun, however the sand flies were a bit annoying.

I didn't know that I liked piña colada until I visited this place. Like pretty much everywhere in Roatan, the drinks need a little bit more booze, but they were as good as I can remember while visiting and for the best price. The rice and peas were the best I had on the island too. Service was quite slow but I hear that they were on island time.

Been here a couple times now. The drinks have been great along with the food. I recommend the BOGO pizza on Monday with BOGO monkey lalas. Right on the beach with a beautiful view. Watch live music, hermit crab races, and fire dancers all right here.

Great friendly folks, good food, beach front dining, good pricing, restrooms, changing rooms with outdoor shower, beach stuff for rent, pretty beach. We paid $75 for 5 people to bring us here and take us back. Our driver waited here until we were ready to leave. Great way to spend the day in Roatan, Honduras (West Bay Beach)

This is the hangout spot at sunset, arrive about 30 min before it sets because this place gets busy. The views are perfect for a sunset dinner. They have daily specials, which are a nice touch, to include a movie night and free popcorn. The pizza is delicious and fairly priced. Good drinks and the service is efficient. Live music on occasion.

We loved this place! No kidding, the medium pepperoni pizza was the best we have ever tasted and one of my friends worked in a pizza restaurant. We watched many sunsets with a Rum Punch in hand at the Thursty Turtle. Thanks everyone - we can't wait to come back to Roatan!

Our tour guide was amazing and brought us here on our tour. The food was delicious! We ordered the Roatan Dip, and Shrimp Tacos to eat. The Tacos were delicious but the dip was fabulous! We enjoyed a few too many drinks because they were just sooooo good. I drank the Monkey Lala and Mom enjoyed the Strawberry Margarita. Better than the Food and Drink- this place is right on a gorgeous beach. I love that they had money from all over signed and stapled on the post/ ceiling of the bar area. Of course before we headed back, we left our mark.

EDIT: we went back for the bang bang shrimp 😋 We were soooo hungry on our beach day. The bang bang shrimp was cooked perfectly. My bf said we were going to come back for it again before we leave. I settled with the chicken club. The chicken was dry. Didn’t seem freshly prepared. So I would say order something else or order the shrimp! The fries were cold. It does seem more expensive for the quality of food you get.

The ambiance, the lighting, and the staff were all pretty terrific. Now if we could just get the food aligned. The coconut rice and beans were good, and the french fries were cooked perfectly. But my bang bang shrimp was all wrong-- just got fried shrimp with some squirts of sauce on them. That was rather disappointing because the waiter said it was an excellent dish. I definitely would have passed on it if I knew what it was. But seeing the sunset while eating dinner really helped make it easier to forget that the food wasn't quite what I had hoped it would be.

This place was amazing! Stefany and Francisco from the wait staff at the beach were quick and ready to take care of us. Food was good. I had the Sea Bass Sandwich which was really good. Infinity pool looking out to the beach created the perfect picture! Look forward to coming back to visit Isla Roatan

Our appetizer was very good, Lobster cream dip. I had the blackened snapper and it was so tasty, with rice/beans, and veggies. My wife had the Coconut Shrimp with mango chutney, garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. She LOVED the mango chutney! The dining room is open but cozy and the island ambiance was exactly what we were looking for. We will make it a must stop every time.

very friendly staff! love the breakfast pina bread…so good. we had both dinner and breakfast there and the food is good. Breakfast is my favorite. Jerk chicken baleada is very good. Love the staff at this restaurant…very sweet. And the adorable cats just lounging are cute.

My wife enjoyed the lobster ravioli, and I enjoyed the the coconut shrimp. However, my wife found me unconscious in the shower spewing fluids from both ends several later after having a vomiting fit on the toilet. This was the only food I ate that day (coconut shrimp, the garlic mash, and vegetables). I would review your food storage and handling policies. The incident has put me under the weather even after trying to recover.

Celeste's was a treat. Family members got the seafood platter to share, which came with delicious garlic/basil butter and other dipping sauces. I got the jerk chicken which had a great spicy seasoning. The key lime pie was creamy with graham cracker crust! Come early for a table, we were turned away last night around 7pm because they were already full for the night. So glad we came back!

A fantastic night with friends and fabulous food! We had arranged a special all you can eat lobster dinner for 7 people and it was delicious! It's a beautiful spot with great food, wine and a pretty path that leads around the property! Definitely stop at least once on your trip!

Went here every single day to visit the parrots, especially Batman. The staff are all incredibly friendly here and let you walk around the grounds and explore the restaurant + cabanas and pool. Ate a few meals here as well, of course. Great local food and every time we were eating here there were customers coming in talking about how they've been coming for years and it was a very special place for them.

We were at Anthony’s Key for a dolphin encounter, and decided to walk here after. We were thrilled to have found this place! The drinks were amazing- best spicy margarita I have had in a long time. I had tacos, and they were so delicious. My husband had jerk chicken that was juicy and tender, and our kids loved their meals as well. Service was attentive and quick. Would have loved to go back, but ran out of time before leaving Roatan. Highly recommend!

Blue Bahía Beach Grill is an absolute gem on the island. Everything we tried was outstanding. The hamburgers were juicy and delicious, and the loaded nachos appetizer stood out with fresh pico and hearty beans. The blackened fish tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had—the fish was incredibly flaky and full of flavor. The jerk chicken carried that authentic island seasoning, perfectly balanced and not overpowering. The coconut margarita was a surprise—almost like a dessert, smooth and creamy but not overly sweet. We also tried the calamari, which was excellent: not chewy, not over-battered, just fresh and perfectly cooked. Whether you’re looking for fresh seafood, island flavors, or just a great beachside meal, this spot delivers every time. Highly recommend!

This was a good restaurant! They had a small menu but it accommodated all dietary needs and was very delicious! The vibes were awesome with AMAZING LIVE MUSIC, nice seating and quick service all right on the beach; with beautiful views of the water! Though it’s pricey it is worth it for the vibes, views and food!

Looking for an awesome place to have a meal & hang out on the island? My hubby and I can’t say enough great things about Blue Bahia Beach Grill. The food is fantastic and the staff is wonderful and so accommodating. We are vegan foodies who recently moved to the island from NY, and have thoroughly enjoyed every meal. Also, the owners are the nicest people and the restaurant is on the beach, so the views are beautiful; especially at sunset. They have something special happening every night of the week, including live entertainment on Thursdays and Sundays. The prices are very reasonable, and we hear they that have the best breakfast. We haven’t tried that yet, but we’ve been there so many times this week that I think that we might officially be stalkers now! 😂 ♥️ Highly recommend!! 🌟👍🏼

One of my favorite spots on the island. I was staying at Blue Bahia Resort, and tried a lot of breakfast and dinner options. Food is very good, and prices are very reasonable (compared to West End, I would say “cheap” :) The service is great, and the place has its unique vibe - very relaxed and cool. They have wonderful live music on Sundays And Thursdays, and Lobster Tail specials on Wednesday!

Restaurant by the beach, service was good, food was very good. Outdoor seating available, beach bar, TVs, kids menu. Located on the grounds of Grand Roatan Hotel.

The first time I went, I had the chicken tacos. They give you four, corn tortillas filled with chicken, lettuce, a piece of grilled Honduran cheese and chipotle mayo. They had pretty good flavor. The chicken quesadillas with red beans were just OK. I think they charred too much of the outside so they had a bit of a “burnt” flavor.

We've been staying here and loving their included breakfast. It's a hot buffet with omelette station and the food has been really excellent. They've got amazing fresh fruit, pancakes and french toast, Honduran staples like beans, fried plantains, scrambled eggs and fresh cheese, also Chobani yogurts, fresh bread for toast, and a few other things that rotate each day. And again an omelette station and sometimes made to order baleadas as well. I'd be surprised if it's not the best breakfast you'll find in the region. We decided to try lunch and that was great too. We had the Honduran churrasco and their club sandwich, both delicious.

Disappointed. 3.5 stars. We tried the ceviche, ,burger, creamy seafood pasta, kids Mac and cheese, kabobs and seafood medley dish, bean dip., seabass. They look nice but nothing tasted right, quality of the burger was sub par, dish seasoning was off...except the ceviche, bean dip, fried snapper and seafood medley. For example...the sea bass was 2 small thin fillets, lightly breaded, with fake mashed potatoes and a side of sauce. I was expecting a nice thick fillet, sauted in a pan with a cream sauce over it...The service was good but I rarely saw the real executive chef. The drinks were tasty. All foods cooked by cooks. The keylime pie and chocolate cake were good. It's a beautiful and peaceful spot but expected much better. Other restaurants look crowded on West bay so this is the spot for a quiet meal.

The resort manager was very territorial and rude. One of the staff said I could sit on the sand in front of their bar, but the manager told me I had to sit elsewhere or sit at the bar and order drinks. I did the latter, not long after finishing my drink the manager had told his staff to harass me to order food. I told them I was waiting a bit for it to be lunch time to order food. Apart from the pushy manager, the staff were lovely (just trying to please their boss) and the food was decent. But what a negative experience over all to have whilst on holiday!

The Executive Chef here, Ezra, is PHENOMENAL. He goes above and beyond to ensure you have an amazing dining experience. The food was SO GOOD. We ate here twice. And the views?! Are you kidding?! Beachfront, stunning sunsets, crystal waters, white sands - total perfection. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is part of the Grand Roatan Resort at the south end of West Bay. It faces the water and is open air so it has great views. The breakfast buffet, though not particularly large in terms of diversity of options, was great and also they can set up dinner on the beach. One of my travel companions caught two tuna fish on a fishing trip that morning and the restaurant cooked the tuna three different ways and served it to us for dinner; it’s clear they go out of their way to please their customers.

Lovely beachfront cafe that serves amazing drinks, both hot and cold. They roast their coffee bean across the hall, so “fresh” is an understatement. But it was the staff that had us coming back day after day: Amy, Joab, and especially Tenil always had a smile and a positive attitude when greeting us. So thankful for this refreshing spot in Roatan! PS- they have delicious smoothies and perfect french fries, too!

Coffee is decent. Service is average at best. WiFi is terrible, the a/c either doesn’t work or they are trying to save money by having it turned way up… prices are outrageous for what you get, but this is the way things are going… I tried it three times to give them the benefit of the doubt. Bought one of every cake they had and they were all old and stale very bland tasting. They sell the most expensive baleadas on the island… the ones at the gas station are better and 10x cheaper… so is the gas station coffee shop by the way!

I wish I'd found this place sooner. Nice decor and menu. There is something for everyone. It is not just a coffee shop. Great water views but what brought sunshine to our last rainy day of vacation was our server Tennille. She answered questions, took our picture and a moment to chat she was worth 10⭐️. The people working can make or break a place with their attitudes and hers was the best. Very clean and fresh inside. As always in these areas please try to tip your server in cash.

I stopped by Bean Crazy a few times on my trip. The cappuccino is excellent, and I found it to be the best I tried in the West End. The sandwiches and mains are also well-prepared and very good. I particularly appreciated the fair and transparent pricing with no hidden fees. A solid choice for a good coffee or a satisfying meal.

We stayed at Mr Toucan and had breakfast here (and sometimes lunch!) Every day. The staff was so friendly and patient. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is fun and tropical. When I go back I will 100% come back to this restaurant for breakfast/lunch! Rhianna was our waitress for most of the meals and she really was such a pleasure to talk to in the morning. We loved her so much!

Had heard about this spot on. YouTube. Definitely some of the best coffee I ever had. Met the owner super friendly. Her waitresses top of the line... Service with a smile and such positive attitudes. We went twice in one day. It was that good. If you go to Roatan you have to go to Bean Crazy my hubby doesn't treat coffee he ordered juice and he loved it. I did not order a meal but saw some brought to other tables presentation on point! Other items beside coffee.. A must go!!!

This is our go to stop on the West End every time we are in Roatan. Their coffee is spectacular. We always do the buy 3 get 1 free deal on their ground coffee to take home. Also, the store is not ridiculously expensive like the other touristy places.

Excellent location, walking distance to many accommodations. Views of main center, can see the beach fireworks on special occasions. Non-alcohol mocktails are first on the drink menu. Plenty of options for all beverage tastes. Was expecting more seafood on the menu, but was not disappointed with the options. The half salads are a great idea! Staff is knowledgeable and attentive.

Restaurant on the second floor, nice view. Food was ok, over priced. We had dinner - Korean BBQ wings, Butter chicken, Red Snapper. Server Luis speaks English, he is nice & helpful. English menu available. They Accept credit card.

Had an incredible dinner here. Food was absolutely delicious. Service was top notch. This is an absolute must visit while in Roatán especially if you’re celebrating a birthday. The blueberry cheesecake was outstanding.

The seacuterie board was most of a meal for both of us. We are not fishy fish people and nothing was fishy!! Dessert was damn good too. No main course, no room, but we can only guess it would be as good!! And Louis was amazing!

Simply fantastic. Amazing service, sunset view, top chef level food (the cold sracha tuna and chicken curry was fantastic). Only gripe is the cost ($100 bucks for two people (one app, one desert and two entrees with no alcohol). I understand everything is locally sourced and that is expensive but the cost might make us only visit once more on this trip vs many many times. I would expect to pay a similar price in Charlotte. Do you have a teacher's discount lol 😂 Note written two days later (and reflected in my now 4 🌟 review versus initial 5 🌟) As a non Spanish speaker I was not aware a 20 percent tip aka "propina" or "bribe" in Spanish was automatically added to the bill. Seeing I didn't know this and it was not made clear on the menu or on signage (that I saw), I tipped 20 percent on top. To be honest, I am not saying it is intentional deception but it should be made clear to customers. I frankly should have asked what that line item was. That said, in hindsight, after exploring other restaurants in Flowers Bay and West end, there is much much better value in other restaurants. We got just as good of a meal for half the price at Seawiches.

There wasn't a plate that we weren't passing around to sample. I ordered the 1lb of mussels in a chorizo sauce. I was expecting to get a few. Omg they must have given me 10lbs. It was amazing. The creamy sauce should be offered as a cocktail 🤣

Beautiful spot right on the beach! I like the venue and thought their pina colada were the best I could find during my time at West Bay. I absolutely loved their lobster night for $17 US! However, their « taco Tuesday » special is ridiculous - $18 US for three small tacos, and you get a free beer. It’s way more expensive than just getting tacos in Canada. Just make sure to review your bill before paying too, they charged us $2 US extra on each meal for no reason.

Contrary to other reviews, we didn't get scammed when we visited babalu's. We had the 17$ lobster tails special. Unfortunately the lobster was overcooked and therefore a bit chewy. The food was otherwise ok but at a total of nearly 60 USD, I'd be hard pressed to recommend...

TOURIST TRAP! Watch out for these scammers, they will put all kinds of things on your bill that don't belong there. They put too many beers on ours and didn't give us the happy hour discount (even though they gave us the smaller happy hour cocktails, we could compare with our neighbors, which is fine if we would have paid half price). when we confronted them with this they simply said we should have ordered 4 mojitos to get 2 free, which is definitely not what the sign says. It was also a very lousy mojito for 10 dollars.

Look for Paola she’s absolutely amazing, went inside to ask about their menu and she really convinced me to try their Lobster special and steak bites were absolutely delicious. She has great service skills, very polite and talkative.

Feel like these reviews are for a wildly different hotel. Pictures are nice but the rooms don’t look like that. Rooms are not part of the hotel. Decently strenuous walk during the day and hazardous at night. Broken blinds in the rooms aren’t great for privacy. Bugs all over the walls when we arrived. Neighbors walking shakes all our furniture. In addition to being able to hear every single thing the neighbors do and say. The bathroom door is a partial door with wood slats, providing zero privacy and it’s two feet from my pillow. The WiFi is struggling to even allow this review. Don’t recommend.

Stay elsewhere. Largest issue is that after 10pm you are left to fend for yourself. Needed assistance at 11pm and had to go to the hotel next door. They were kind and the security guard helped us move hotels. Xbalanque resort on the other hand couldn’t assist and the security guard was not even on property. One thing to stay at a guesthouse and not have assistance but when you spend almost $300/night it’s unacceptable. property. Even before the incident, I was going to leave a poor review because The rooms are horrendously far from the beach. While you can get a golf cart it’s a pain and this was not disclosed in the booking process. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

We spent 6 glorious days at this beautiful resort. The staff was top notch and accommodated every request. Rooms were spacious and clean. Beachfront with a stunning covered dock. Loved the yoga and do not miss the spa! Great food as well! We originally booked an element room but moved to the main building since it was quite an arduous climb back up. As two ladies on our own we felt perfectly safe. I would definitely recommend bringing lots of deet bug spray. You don’t really feel the bites but they end up itching badly for weeks!

This is a very beautiful place on the private Tamarind Community Beach. This makes the beach very relaxing, quiet, peaceful and secluded. The staff are all fantastic and friendly Big Mike, Randy, William and Christopher are the best. I see a review by Ana from Texas that she did not understand, she rented the home above the hotel, not the rooms in the hotel, right on the beach. So this is a great hotel with 8 rooms on the beach in a boutique hotel and an additional home for rent above the hotel. The chef is great also just ask for how you desire your meal. Order the STEAMED snapper it will change your life for it is that good. This is a great location to stay at if you desire a peaceful, relaxing and great experience.

READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE BOOKING!!!⁉️We currently are staying for one night at Xbalanque. We came from Kimpton Grand Roatán because we decided to stay one extra night here in Roatan and opted to stay at this hotel. First and foremost the rooms are not even in the hotel you have to walk 5-6 min hard/steep walk in the hot sun to get to your room from reception same to get to beach/hotel pool. Moreover, the room is so-so. You have to lock the door which is basically a sliding door in this strange hard way. Just does not make sense. The cable is terrible and tv is very small. The hotel restaurant does not serve good food for the price. Then if you want to swim in main pool you only have until 7pm to use it. The beach is ok nothing like West bay. If you want to to be away from all the hustle and bustle, yes this is the hotel to be at. But not many things to do around here, not too many restaurants either. The staff are not as friendly as well. If you want to book after reading this review then you’ve been warned.

This place was a DREAM. Everything was extraordinary; the service, food, room, ambiance, vibe and amenities. My wife and I stayed only 2 nights while in Roatan, but I wish our entire stay was here (our main stay was in Tela, at the Hilton). Thank you to the two wonderful ladies at the reception area and the three bartenders that took care of us during our stay. They made a great stay, amazing. We can’t wait to go back.

My girlfriend and four other couples had a reservation valentine dinner. The food was mediocre at best. Two of the meals were sent back, very over cooked. The service, however, was horrible. Brought out the wine, but no cork screw. We had to go to the bar to do it ourselves. At no time did the staff ask myself or anyone else if we'd like a drink. Inexperienced servers. The entrees were brought to the tables without having cleared the appetizers, desserts brought out while table was full of dinner plates. This is not a cheap restaurant. When paying top dollar, adequate service should be expected. I was not impressed. I would definitely pass by this place. Much better options elsewhere.

We haven't stayed at the resort, but we were lucky to discover the Blue Roatan Beach Club, right at the beach on our walk between West Bay and West End. Placed right in the middle of the two towns it feels like heaven to do a stop there and enjoy a cold fresh lemonade. The service was so friendly and made us feel so valuable that we stayed there for hours to enjoy the pool and food. And to my surprise they even let you use their kayaks and Stand up paddle board (SUP). Their SUP board and paddle is by far the best quality I have seen in West Bay and West End. I really enjoyed it. And again the staff was super friendly. We love the place and highly recommend it.

I stayed at the Blue Roatan Resort for a total of 7 days, and during my entire stay, all my needs were met. Whether it was great food, refreshing drinks, or waking up to a beautiful view every morning, I felt completely taken care of. I enjoyed taking a dip in the pool or relaxing on the beach at the club. The staff at the resort were fantastic; they treated us well and were very attentive and friendly. They showed a genuine interest in us and recommended various activities and places to explore during our stay. One of the highlights was the pontoon boat ride, which I highly suggest. Cruising on a beautiful boat over the turquoise waters is an experience I will never forget. The ride was informative, stunning, and most importantly, fun. Our guide was exceptional and was able to answer all of our questions, no matter how big or small. If you’re looking for a relaxing and tailored experience, I highly recommend the Blue Roatan Resort. They have truly thought of everything you might want to do in Roatan.

We had a great day here. We had drinks and got beach chairs and could chill all day. Walked down and snorkeled. Came back for buy one get one free pizzas, the Monday night special. The pizza was excellent!

An outstanding experience on July 1 with Bananarama Dive Resort. I was visiting from a cruise ship and they were able to add me to a dive at the last minute. Very courteous, knowledgeable and extremely professional. Alex, Bryan and our dive leader Ben were amazing. Excellent equipment and good pricing. The reefs of Isla Roatan are full of life. Face to face with sea turtles. I'm so glad I had my C-card with me.

These people are awesome!! Although we were not staying at their facility, they treated us like family. Good service, good drinks and the food was pretty good too..

Had an excellent beach/dive day with family of 4 (incl 2 teenagers). We docked with a cruiseship early in morning. Banarama collected us at agreed time. Drove to their resort. Being certified divers, we started out with a dive, with Jordan and Harris, on one of the reefs close by. Saw shallow reef, drop-offs,turtles, baracuda and lots of coral and fish. After dive we relaxed for a few hours on the beach chairs and enjoyed lunch. At agreed time we were returned to ship, well before ship departure. We have good memories of Roatan, Banarama Dive and Resort, and their staff. Thank you.

Nice resort, showing some need of repair. A bit removed from West Bay, the .5 mile walk there includes a relatively steep hill and no sidewalk. The restaurant is run by wonderful folks and the fish tacos are great. Front office Supervisor is not great to interact with - your needs are annoyances to her.

Amazing! After a poor experience at a local hotel, we called Megan looking for a place for the week. Even on short notice, Megan was able to help us out. Our last week of vacation was saved by Megan. I can't say enough good things about this place. Absolutely stunning location. Entire place is immaculate. The Meridian has created a customer for life. I will definitely be back!

Definitely top tier compared to other places in the area. To my knowledge it is a newer resort but that doesn't discredit the experience. From the architecture, to the staff, to the iguanas that you can find around the property, I have zero complaints.

Ladies here are such a delight, we ordered coffee and just had to have some beans to also take home with us. The banana coconut almond bread is absolutely delicious! 😋

Great place, we went three times during our week visit. Coffee and drinks were good. Staff was kind and friendly. They have a ton of gluten-free options, which we really appreciate! We had breakfast sandwiches on a gf English Muffins and a gf breakfast pizza 😲 Both were really good and it was wonderful to have breakfast options and good coffee!

This is a small coffee shop in the west bay mall that offered a manu of snadwiches, breakfast items, drinks and pastries. The place was comfortable and had wifi and we were able to add so much to our sandwiches, which they offered fish as a protein though. The ice tea was nice but it was the unsweetened version which may not be appreciated by others. The cake and pastries were also good but seemed like they used cake mix which is fine but fresh is always best.

Came for breakfast sandwiches and did not leave disappointed, the pesto mayo was too good. If spending more time in west bay I likely would have came the following day. The breakfast sandwich includes coffee which is nice and they offer a wide variety of wines at a reasonable price. The AC was an added bonus. Total was about $10-$12 USD which is very reasonable Juan a short walk from the west bay beaches.

Had such a great time last night! Amazing wine! Stuffed mushrooms were phenomenal! Charcuterie board was legit. Pizza was solid (leftovers tasted great this morning!) I definitely would be here often if I was local!

Everything from breakfast to dinner is made fresh and tastes delicious. Coffee, smoothies, oatmeal cookies, to build your own sandwiches and pizzas. Best on the island in my opinion. The Women working there are friendly and know how a business should run. A must stop any time in WestBay.

We got breakfast sandwiches twice during our stay at West Bay. Yummy. Personalize to your desire. The coffee was delicious too. This trip we didn't get to enjoy the wine, but the selection is excellent. If you are staying at West Bay, don't miss this great place. Staff is awesome. They have advertising coffee insulated mugs for sale. I said they need insulated wine tumblers. I would have bought one. The painted rock for Ukraine was on a table outside. Hope to be back soon.

I had an amazing experience at Luna Muna! The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. I celebrated my birthday last night at the lovely Restaurant Luna Muna , and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality. Our waiter, Lisandro, was incredibly friendly and helpful. he guided us through the menu and helped us choose some amazing dishes. Everything we had was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The ambience was just right great music, a beautiful view, and a relaxed, stylish atmosphere. The location is also perfect, easy to get to and such a gem. I would highly recommend Luna Muna to anyone looking for a special dining experience. Perfect spot for a celebration or just a memorable night out.

The ambience and Garifuna performance was amazing . I was excited to try the food based on reviews from social media . My ravioli was disappointing . It was supposed to have king crab but instead was tiny pieces of lobster . The Muna burger was 4.5/5. The tomato soup was too salty . The shrimp tempura and veggies was pleasing to the eye but needed more seasoning .My passion fruit drink was on point . Overall we had a great time. Also , security stopped us outside and told us we didn’t need a reservation and to let him know if we had an issue . However , when we got inside the host acted like it was going to be an issue even though there were several open tables and even several empty over an hour after we arrived .

I am really sad to rate this so low because I really wanted to like it, but it was a terrible experience overall. The food and service is really not worth your money in my opinion. To begin, we got there and we waited 35 minutes for a server to come to get our order. Once the server came because I made eye contact we complained and they apologized. We decided to give it a fair shot and ordered away. Once the bread arrived the bread was stale. I knew right there and then we were doomed. We ordered the conch carpaccio (extremely salty), the scallops (they were good 6/10), we got the king crab raviolis (omg this was terrible 1/10– the flavor was not there and the inside of the ravioli you couldn’t really tell it was crab). The one redeeming dish was the lobster bisque which was excellent. However, overall for the price you’re paying you’re better off going somewhere else. Honestly, skip it.

Celebrated my 50th birthday at the Luna Muna Restaurant, and the service was excellent!! Starting with the host, waiters,and bartender, we had the "A Team" staff!!! I highly recommend this place!

Hmmm this is a tough one to write because I've visited Luna Muna several times (normally for breakfast) but I went to celebrate my birthday yesterday and it was extremely disappointing. The server only seemed interested in being attentive to every table EXCEPT mine. For example, the server took my friends drink order while I was in the restroom, brought him his drink while I was back at the table, didnt acknowledge me or my daughter at all, then moved over to the next table. He then spent over 20 minutes going back and forth with that table, bringing wine. At this point I still haven't been asked if I want anything to drink...and not to be that girl but like....it's my birthday? We eventually asked another server if we could order our food (going on about 35 to 40 minutes now of simply waiting for attention) and our initial server walked up to our table....then PIVOTED to the next table over, still not taking our order! For context, there were only 4 tables, including mine, and all of them had already received food. Eventually the food came, it was positively fantastic as usual...but then the dessert. This one I might be being nitpicky, but mind you one of the other tables had a birthday too, and all the team came out to sing to them. When my dessert arrived, and bracing for my turn at a serenade, the server simply popped it on the table and walked away. My 6 year old sang at least, and then after sitting there for a few minutes we had to remind them we needed spoons. All in all....an extremely awkward and cold experience during what should have been a celebration, at a place where I've historically been met with warmth and top tier service.

This place looked really cute on the beach. We stopped for dinner and to get out of the rain. The service was the worst I’ve had so far and the food took a long time to come out. They weren’t packed. It was our first real dinner on the island. We just thought they were on island time until we went to different restaurants. The alcohol drinks came out in paper cups. We noticed if you sat at the bar you got a real glass. Our food came out barely warm. The lobster, shrimp tacos, grilled octopus, and seabass were good. The fried fish was just okay. So far their beans and rice have been my favorite on the island. It’s very flavorful. They did forget to make the octopus as an appetizer so it came out after we revived our plates. Our server only checked on us once and then after clearing and wiping our table off after eating it took us a while to flag him down to pay our bill.

The view was absolutely amazing!!! The food was really good!! The value was also very good!! Lobster was the same price as ribs and wings! My sons loved their pizzas (Hawaiian and margarita), my son said his wings were some of the best he’s had, I had the ribs and they were very tender and delicious, and my husband really enjoyed the lobster!! He also enjoyed his mojitos!! We definitely recommend this spot and will come again at our first opportunity.

Came here for a day from the cruise port and so glad we did! The atmosphere was calming and so beautiful. But OMG the food! So good! We had the BEST authentic Honduran sopa de mariscos and mojarra frita, a delicious club sandwich and tasty pizza for the kiddos. The service was 5 star, so friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to visit here again!

We walked along the beach and the sign for pizza grabbed our attention. We ordered the margarita pizza, a Barena, and a water. We received the drinks and the pizza a short time later. The pizza was very good. Although the restaurant was not busy and they had a lot of staff, we didn't see our waiter again for some time. We could have used more drinks.

Great view, great atmosphere, great service! The restaurant was very well maintained, the food was well prepared, think casual beach fair. We walked right off the beach and got - what my wife said, the best pina colada on west bay beach. The service was a little slow, though that is nothing to be too angry about as their location is so good. And they have swing dining. You can sit in a swing and eat and drink!

We ordered 2 of the most expensive dishes they have on the menu, which were $92 per dish plus a pizza and sodas. Shockingly we were served spoiled seafood, we noticed blackish parts on the king crab, took a bite of the lobster and was completely hard then proceeded to smell it and smelled sour and disgusting! They took an hour to bring the food and we were offered to remake the food but denied it because the kids were tired and wanted to go to bed. They apologized and removed the two seafood dishes. It's crazy that this place charges a lot of money and they don't care what they are giving to their costumers. We could have died, don't serve rotten seafood please!!!

Awesome atmosphere! The garden bistro lighting is gorgeous and music was an early-2000s mix, with music videos playing on the TV inside. We even got to meet Lala, the cute pitbull mascot. The drink menu is huge with tons of fun options. Food portions are BIG and yummy! They just opened another restaurant on the beach, which we will definitely check out before we go home.

What a fun and bright atmosphere for a lively night of entertainment. Friendly faces everywhere. Chocolate Cupcake was a hoot. Friendly, attentive, and fun to talk with. He was great at recommending drinks that fit our favorite flavors. Would highly recommend for a fun few hours on the island of Roatan. What a fun vacation all around. : )

We ate at Lala Llama Momma in Roatan because it seemed to be so highly rated online. What a huge disappointment. My husband and I went for lunch and we were the only ones waiting for food. It took 20 minutes to get our beverages and 45 minutes to get our food. Our total order consisted of 2 drinks, chips with guacamole and one quesadilla and the bill was $50! On top of that, the food was so awful, we didn't even eat it. It tasted as though they had not changed their fryer grease in months. The service was horrible and the food was very overpriced and inedible. We would never recommend this restaurant.

Best bar/restaurant in Roatan hands down! The staff are the BEST on the island and I'm not even exaggerating. The atmosphere here is breathtaking and during the day they have alot of trees protecting you from the sun and at night it's filled to the brim with lights and amazing music! You have to come here if you're in Roatan - you won't regret it!

This has a very trendy, cool vibe inside. Instagramable shots here, if that’s what you’re into. Dope art on the wall and great afrobeats music at my request. The drinks were yum; piña colada and pain killer. I’m vegan, so I put together some $2 sides to make a meal of plantain, fries, mixed veggies, and beans and rice. Our waiter, a young, thin, dark-skinned man, was very friendly and attentive. He went out his way to get the lady I was dining with some electricity flowing because her phone was dying and she was waiting on a call. He walked us out to point us in the direction of the farmacia we asked about too. I’d hit this spot again on a future West Bay visit.

Excellent food with a huge amount of flavour! I was very impressed with the quality and the how delicate the flavours were. Its' just too bad they don't draw a bigger crowd from not being right on the beach. Service was alright. Be prepared for a pretty quiet experience here but man that food is so good.

After a long year of no travelling I finally got to have a great meal here last week on my trip to Roatan! Great fresh ingredients and live music on Thursday. The owner Kerry does everything to make you feel like family. Quick walk from the resorts in West Bay make it definitely a must go to!

Our second trip to Roatan and this place was at the top of my list to return to. Fresh seafood and my personal favorite the spicy shrimp curry! Great service and wonderful atmosphere. You must have a meal here when you are in West Bay!

My wife and I had a nice dinner. Fish was good. Penne pasta gorganzola with bacon was great. Reasonably priced. Family run restaurant.

I have been twice... once the food was excellent and the next time it was just ok. I heard the the original owners/cook went back to the mainland. I have been hesitant to try this trip.

We ordered the pasta Alfredo con Mariano’s (seafood pasta). It looked promising but was without a doubt the worst food we have had on the island … the pasta dry and stodgy, the calamari was so tough we couldn’t cut through it, the lobster was dry and cold. All in all the meal was dreadful. We would never recommend eating here. So many other great food places on the island to choose from

PizzaRama in West Bay is an absolute gem! The food is on point from start to finish – the wings are packed with flavor, the cheese bread is perfectly gooey and addictive, and the pizzas are incredible. The Sweet Heat pizza is a must-try with that perfect balance of spicy and sweet, while the classic pepperoni hits the spot every time. Drinks are just as impressive – the Long Island Tea is no joke (definitely high octane!), and the frozen cocktails are refreshing and delicious. What really put the experience over the top was the service. Our waiter, Ryan, was outstanding – super attentive, friendly, and made the night even better. If you’re in Roatán, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Food was good, only thing is: people don’t need to be reminded to leave tip it’s rude and they already know. Ate a single time here and I wouldn’t mind eating here again. I wish they had gluten - dairy free options in their menu

We stopped by here during a private tour with Victor Bodden's company and its driver Zetro who was awesome. It is right on the beach and we could watch our kids playing on the beach from the table. We ordered Margaritas, mojitos and Monkey Lalas for drinks, which were all great! We also ordered the cerviche which was just ok, the chicken wings which were good, and some other things. Some things were great and other were just ok. Wish i knew the pizza reviews before so I could have tried it.

The food was better at other establishments. The service was faster at other establishments, and the price was better at other establishments. This was an altogether lackluster dining experience that I would not like to repeat. This restaurant does nothing special and they do it particularly poorly.

Table service is slow. Waiting for someone to acknowledge you can take a while. 2023 update, pizza isnt as good as it used to be. Lacks flavour.

Ordered an Italian sausage and bell pepper pizza, delivered to Naboo resort. The pizza was delivered quickly. From there, things did not go well. The Diet Coke is was told they had was actually Coke Zero. Much more importantly, the pizza was terrible! The crust was very undercooked, almost raw in places. The pizza was cut haphazardly, pieces of all sizes. The sauce was acidic and had way too much oregano. The toppings were overcooked. Very disappointed.

Very displeased with this place. First off I get here and sit down and got swamped by 4 different people trying to sell me things which i understand they are trying to make it in life too but geez I just sat down. Next I order the snapper for $22, I wait for about 1 hour for my food. I get it and don’t like what I see. A tiny piece of snapper and an ice berg lettuce salad, very sad place to dine I cannot recommend

Stay away from this place. Total scam. “Facilities “ are non existing or horrible at best. Prices super expensive, $4.50 for a bear and outside was $2. Dirty and lack of service at all. The beach is full of boats, jet skies , gasoline smell and dirty. Go somewhere else

It takes a while, but it's island time and super yummy lobster! Alex is a great server - be sure to ask for him and he will take wonderful care of you!

We stopped in here for a quick bite and a drink while waiting for others to join our snorkeling group. The chicken fingers and fries were delicious and the beer was ice cold. Our waiter Chris was excellent as well. It was a bit pricey but, it’s steps from the beach in a tourist hot spot.

Beautiful location Alex is great. Very good drinks and the best three lobster tail dinner on Friday and Monday nights. Appreciate the volume and selection of music as well. Use the lounge chairs during the day. Free wifi. Kid friendly. Love this.place.

Their lobster tail special is well worth the wait. A perfect dinner after a night dive.

Wonderful food, as always. Saw some recent bad reviews, other than it taking awhile to get our food, generally (it’s island time, like every place on the island) lobster is always good, steamed veggies are awesome and service is always good. Tonight it seemed like we even got our food sooner!

This is a really small area with a little restaurant dedicated to tacos! They offer great choices and a diverse set of tacos which is really nice when there is a vegetarian in your party. The tacos were made fresh and we had the choice of the tortilla, corn or flour! They were filled well and came with some salsa to add as well! The tables were filled with some games and was just a nice touch to a simple restaurant. They do not take card which is a bit annoying but they allow you to use paypall. The prices were a bit expensive but overall a great choice.

This place is quickly becoming one of my island favorites. Extremely high quality, delicious food and a great and friendly staff. So fresh and so good! Update: The staff and food are still great, but what used to cost me $11 or $12, now costs $21. I understand things are getting more expensive, but $6 each for these tacos seems excessive to me.

Come for the tacos, stay for the Guac. The food is fresh made, delicious and a great treat! It is fast, faster than anything you can find on the beach with a wait staff certainly. And it was priced really well. It is family owned and operated. It is a little off the beach, so you won't get beach front views, but the food is worth the three minute walk to get this great little off the beaten path restaurant. Really, order the Guac, you won't be disappointed.

Have made it a point to eat lunch here both times we’ve visited Roatan. Friendly people, delicious food. We’ve opted for different tacos eace time. Authentic and very tasty. Put this one on your list.

Absolutely love it here - the taste of the tacos is outstanding, service quick and prices very reasonable. The women and girls are running it with great competence. It has a local flair that many other places nearby are missing.

I loved the service and food at this taco stand. Probably the best meal we had in Roatan and great prices! The mango juice was delicious!

I was googling for a place to eat and I’m glad I ventured off a bit further from the main strip and outdoor food court to find this place nestled in a quiet alley a bit further down. It was a quaint little shop operated by such a sweet owner and young ladies. They didn’t have fresh shrimp tacos but instead the firecracker shrimp battered taco. I went with this and a fish taco along with chicken quesadilla. The shrimp taco blew my mind - so tasty! I couldn’t finish my meal but appreciated having the tin foil to wrap up my meal to snack on again after snorkelling West Bay. Also you can BYOB here - perfect!

Hands down the best place on the island 10/10. I went there twice and the first time Tayri served us. She was the most caring and sweetest server I’ve ever had. She noticed I really liked the bread so she brought me more and even gave me some to take home (which was a life saver later on). We ordered the pork belly, the garifuna raviolis, empanadas, and octopus risotto. Everything was excellent, but if you need to order one dish and are undecided go for the garifuna raviolis and thank me later. It was so good I had to go again and get it a second time. During our first visit the chef came out to meet us and quickly became our friend and invited us to come again with the promise he would cook special sweat breads for us. German the chef is a genius! His food is made with love and all the flavors truly complement each other. I’ve eaten everywhere in the world and his food is among the best I’ve ever had. Upon the promise of the sweetbreads we showed up again and they were indeed to die for. This time around Arturo served us and he was excellent! We got the steak, sweetbreads and the ravioli and again everything was espectacular. I would highly recommend this place if you’re there and want to eat delicious.

Alera is the flagship restaurant, at the stunning Kimpton Roatan Grand. Just look at that amazing door architecture. This restaurant serves a buffet breakfast every morning. After that, it switches to dinner mode. The menu may seem limited, but it is delicious. The internal decor is impressive. Service, at both the breakfast and dinner service, is exceptional.

Found this quaint restaurant serving up the most decadent dishes. The dishes took us a culinary journey and you can taste the chef’s passion in each plate. We were a party of 16 who showed up last minute and he accommodated us with no issue. From the starters to the desserts everything was delicious. Highly recommend this spot if you ever visit Roatan

The meal was delicious and the snapper and octopus were great. But the shinning star of the meal was the service provided by Ernesto. He was the definition of great hospitality. Friendly, informative and his timing was perfect. Made for a great dinner date.

Absolutely one of the best breakfast buffet I have ever had. The omelette, fruit, waffles🧇, breads are incredible. The atmosphere is located right on the west bay beach with amazing views. Would recommend for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

We dined here multiple times during our stay -- and enjoyed them all. One particularly notable evening we did one of the special dinner and wine pairing experiences, and really enjoyed it. The sommelier was knowledgeable, personable and took great care of us. The food was really thoughtful and lovely. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a special experience!

Dined here on our first night in Roatan. Absolutely delicious local flavors, the service was wonderful and attentive and the ambience was elegant in the evenings, and vibrant in the mornings for brunch. Such an array of choices at all times of day. Empanadas were a hit with younger kids, and the lamb dish was cooked to perfection. During brunch there is a honey station with various types of honey that come straight from a honeycomb display.

Great experience, yummy food, attentive service. Highly recommend! The lobster fettuccine was amazing, the guys raved about the tenderloin, every one enjoyed their meals! Definitely recommended reservations for a larger group!
