Fine dining restaurant
Champers Restaurant in Barbados is a top dining spot on the South Coast, offering a delightful culinary experience with its creative Caribbean-inspired menu and stunning cliffside location. The restaurant provides panoramic ocean views and a welcoming atmosphere, complemented by an in-house gallery showcasing local artists' works. Diners can savor hearty portions of Bajan fried flying fish with caper dressing, West Indian chicken curry, lionfish, or herb-crusted rack of lamb while enjoying the relaxing Caribbean ambiance.
Another amazing restaurant, where ambience, service, food and views are all what you expect for a fine dining restaurant. Had a lovely 3 course evening meal here. Pre-booked and a table on the sea front. They'd specially prepared printed menus due to our anniversary, and brought out a sparkle and cake at the end as well. Food was exquisite. Lamb shank just melted off the bone as you expect, parents were excellent. Sea bass was divine, and shrimp curry was awesome. They staff were attentive and left us alone as well, to enjoy the evening and weren't rushed. Overall a lovely evening out.

Champers is a gorgeous restaurant that truly delivers on every level. The food was amazing and absolutely lived up to the high standards I’d heard about. The staff were warm, friendly, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. For the quality and ambiance, I also found the prices to be quite reasonable. We visited for a belated celebration, and I loved the thoughtful touch of their custom menus. It was the cutest surprise and made the evening feel extra special. Cheers to Champers for a wonderful dining experience!

This five star dining experience is the culinary delight of the island of Barbados . Beautiful ambiance by the ocean side is just the beginning of your dining experience! Highly recommend this restaurant if you want quality food, class, and an amazing staff to guide you in an experience you won't soon forget!

The food, drinks, and service were all excellent—everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff was friendly and professional. The only downside is that they get very busy, so it can be tough to get a reservation. But once you’re in, it’s a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend planning ahead!
Lacey M — Google review
Great resultant with stunning evening views by the ocean. The food is really good and the service excellent. You pay a little more than restaurants around but that’s because it’s more luxurious. Would highly recommend
Brett C — Google review
Amazing food, the best service I've ever had. Great location looking over the sea, and the ambience was second to none. Thank you everyone x

I celebrated my 40th birthday in Barbados with a dinner for 10 friends, and this restaurant absolutely exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The food was outstanding; every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ambience was top-notch, creating the perfect setting for a special occasion. What truly made the night unforgettable were the thoughtful, personalized touches the staff added throughout the evening. They went above and beyond to make my day feel truly special, and my guests were just as impressed. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional food, impeccable service, and a memorable dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back. they’ve earned a loyal customer!

A marvelous spot next to the ocean. Perfect place to see the sunset. Romantic if it's a date. The food is nice. Best restaurant in the area. Make sure to book in advance. We went there three days in a row, and tried both lunch and dinner. Their cocktails are great.

Tapas restaurant
Located along the lively south coast boardwalk, Tapas is a chic and trendy restaurant that offers a unique dining experience with its array of small plates and substantial entrees. The restaurant boasts contemporary indoor seating as well as outdoor terraces that provide stunning ocean views. Emphasizing a fusion of local and Spanish cuisine, Tapas specializes in an extensive selection of tapas designed for sharing and sampling.
This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to hands down! The food was delicious! I got the snapper! Wish I took a pic….my wife got the Seafood Risotto which she was amazing. Desserts were great and looked good too! The service was too notch. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Great location. I highly highly highly recommend you eat here!!
Jerome — Google review
Staff were very friendly, the atmosphere of the place is rather spacious and tastefully decorated. We downstairs, by the seaside although I would prefer to be upstairs. The came quickly and had good flavor all around. (Starter): Salt & Pepper Shrimp / (Main): Shrimp Risotto / (Dessert): Apple Crumble w/vanilla ice cream.
Pickles S — Google review
Service was off the chains. I must commend them for that. From the moment we arrived . ☯️. Alfredo wasn’t all that and there was one drink that wasn’t all that. The other foods and drinks we had were wonderfully made.
Sasha H — Google review
We had an absolutely fabulous time at this restaurant. The food was great. The service was spectacular and the atmosphere was out of this world! Very nice little restaurant with seating upstairs downstairs and out on the boardwalk. I definitely recommend sitting upstairs so you have a great view of the ocean. The sound of the waves while you’re having dinner is fantastic. Kids portions are great, I have a recommend the Cornish hen, Fish of the Day- Barbados style, and the seafood risotto. For dessert, we recommend the tiramisu and lava cake. Everything was delicious! Our waiter was fantastic and extremely attentive. I highly recommend asking for Jaylin as your server. We enjoyed having him thoroughly.

The ambiance was relaxed yet elegant, perfect for a casual meal or a special evening out. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring a smooth dining experience from start to finish. Overall, Tapas is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy good food and heavenly desserts in a beautiful setting.

Tapas is a lovely restaurant showcasing the beautiful seas and boardwalk of Barbados. Situated close to the boardwalk enabled a pleasant breeze and background. The food was spectacular and flavors were magnificent. I had the shrimp, calamari and fettuccine Alfredo and would highly recommend it from their diverse menu. Finally, the service was amazing and our waiter brought a pleasant atmosphere and food was served rapidly. Highly recommend!

A beautiful restaurant, with tables near the boardwalk and ocean- if you reserve in time! We sampled the calamari, Greek salad, fish pit and zucchini pasta and can happily recommend! Excellent, attentive service and reasonably priced.

The Cliff is a top-notch restaurant perched on a cliffside, offering unparalleled service and breathtaking views of the ocean. The setting is truly awe-inspiring, with flaming lanterns illuminating the area and a flood-lit cove below that attracts marine life. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking an upscale dining experience, The Cliff promises an unforgettable atmosphere.
I recently visited The Cliff Restaurant on a recommendation from a friend whilst there for my 40th Birthday. I am so pleased as I was blown away. The location is truly breath-taking. One of the most unique restaurant locations I've ever experienced, perfectly complemented by it's decor and ambience. The food was out of this world. There were two of us and from the bread to the steak to the dessert, everything that touched our lips was completely devoured. Finally, what really took it to next level was the service. We had an issue with our reservation and on the final of three days of our trip, I was wracked with unfounded concern that this would prevent our visit. It didn't and the manner it was resolved was with the utmost professionalism. Then at every step of our visit, every member of staff we spoke to was knowledgeable, approachable and friendly. Modern restaurants need to begin to recognise that this is what sets the world class experiences from everyone else. That steadfast commitment to a great customer experience. Cannot wait to go back. Thank you to all the staff.
Nukey — Google review
Kitty and I had an absolutely amazing evening at the Cliff last night! The staff treated us like royalty. The summer 4 course menu was perfect for us and we each shared a glass of red and white. I think the summer menu is a great idea and just brought the meal into our affordability bracket! Thank you so much and we very much hope we can return again in the future! Best wishes James and Kitty

What a beautiful place! Very few places in the world have that special view, the nicest staff and food that tasty! Multiple levels, each with a special view, the short ribs were very tasty and the shrimp curry was amazing! Our waiter was super attentive and you can tell everyone is well trained to complete your experience with the best service. We loved it!
John G — Google review
While we were here for drinks mainly, the atmosphere and ambience is unmatched. From the view to the staff, everything is top tier. The limoncello is crafted in house by the bar manager and is delicious. While I can’t attest to the food, I can only imagine it is incredible as well!
Ivy G — Google review
We celebrated my 60th at this beautiful restaurant and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious - oysters, sushi, beef wellington and lobster. All prepared with style and cooked to perfection.
Driftwood R — Google review
The police is super nice and super modern in terms of decor look and feel. The staff are really nice and attentive and very professional to boot. The appetizers are actually quite tasty, the tomato salad is not to be missed it's actually incredible. The sushi was ok, the reported wagyu steak was mediocre at best, it was not very tender and it seemed like a power cut of meat. The bread rolls are ok, the one with the bacon was quite nice. The bill was very high for the quality of food. The decor and the staff make up for it somewhat.
Zlatko Z — Google review
We had high expectations from learning this was supposed to be one of the best restaurants in the Caribbean. During our stay we went to Tides, Champers, Lone Star, Tapas and Primo. All fine dining restaurants. We were celebrating 3 occasions this holiday, so we didn't mind splashing out on fine dining and so didn't district ourselves to cost. The place, ambience, decor, location and service was all 5 star. But unfortunately the food was not and at best 2 stars. Especially when you factor the cost as this was the most expensive restaurant we went to from all the ones mentioned. They served some complimentary entrees which includes lobster balls, salted sticks with fish mayo. All good so far. Choice of bread and butter was very good. Drinks ordered were pretty amazing, although the nin alcoholic ware not so amazing. Starters we ordered a beef tartare, Waldorf salad, and a couple of different sushis. Beef tartare was excellent. Sushi was mediocre at best. Had better sushi in UK local Japanese restaurants. There were 8 pieces so it was generous. But the taste and quality didn't elevate at all. Wasabi had no taste and was dry. No kick or fire to clean the pallet. Waldrof salad was the biggest disappointment with 4 decided small leaves and was barely even a starter! For mains we went with the beef wellington to share , lamb chops and a chicken Kiev. The beef was good and tasty, although I wouldn't say 5 stars. The lamb chops were a little disappointing and didn't have much flavour. He chicken Kiev was undercooked to one half and had to be sent back and really didn't taste of much. They were good enought to. It charge for that. But then two courses at $330 and 3 courses at $380 Bajan dollars was a lot anyway and it just didn't feel worth it. We ordered two deserts, a raspberry cheesecake and a soufflé.l with Bailey's cream. Those were excellent. They did make us feel special and and bought a little anniversary dessert too. And then something to clean the pallet. Os all in all I would have given this place a 3.5 star at best overall. I think if they get the food right with a top chef then this place could be something special.
Naz N — Google review
Everything about this restaurant was 10/10 , a little on the pricy side but worth every penny. Had a lovely meal with my partner and we received exceptional service. The sushi is definitely highly recommended by us.

Cuzz's Fish Stand, located on the west coast of Barbados, is a popular spot known for its traditional Bajan cutter sandwiches. The bright blue shack attracts locals and visitors alike who line up to savor the salty flying fish cutter, made with pillowy Bajan salt bread filled with warm fish, lettuce, tomatoes, and special pink pepper sauce.
Great fish cutter. The fish had a great crisp, but the inside was moist. Service was fast and there were additional condiments that you could put on your sandwich if you wanted. This place was very busy during the lunch hour. The atmosphere was nice, with a great view of the ocean. What a great little lunch place!
J B — Google review
The best fish burger/cutter you will have on the island. For $20 (Barbados dollar) you can’t go wrong with the double fish cutter with cheese. Grab a drink from neighbouring stores and it’s perfect. You can easily have 2/3 for yourself. Range of sauces for you to use too the best is Bajan pepper sauce. It’s only fish sold here so it’s halal and cash only either Barbados is USA dollars.
Ish M — Google review
The best fish cutter's on the island. We loved the double with cheese so much we had it twice. Cuzz's was open on Saturday despite what Google says. A must try when coming to Barbados 😊
Frankie L — Google review
Loved it! I was recommended to eat here by multiple people, and I knew I had to check it out before I left. Everyone was right that the cutta is so good. I had a simple fish cutta with cheese, and it was freshly grilled. I added Bajan pepper sauce to mines and it added that extra heat I needed. So good, and he uses marlin in case anyone was wondering what fish. I was lucky that when I went there was no line, so I got in and got out. It started raining heavily and the juice shop next door let me sit under their tent while I waited for the rain to subside. I also tried fresh green apple juice which was so good.

This is the best fish sandwhich that you will have in your entire life! I will have dreams of this fish sandwhich.. no joke.
Jessica Z — Google review
Overrated. I just had the fish and cheese cutter… meh. I really don’t get the huge fuss. Definitely not with the 45 minute wait in the queue (there is ONE person doing the cooking AND ordering, mental). I’ve had SUCH AMAZING fish meals during my week in Barbados but this was definitely the lamest. Just not that flavourful.
Jennifer S — Google review
This place is a definite must try. My husband doesn't even like fish and I convinced him to try it and he actually requested we go back the next day. The fish cutter with cheese is amazing!!
Jacqui R — Google review
Cuzz and his fish stand are incredible. It’s the first stop I make when I’m on the island. Double fish cutter with cheese and load it with the bajan pepper sauce. Grab a banks beer. Sit with tourists and locals. Few things in life are better than that.

Seafood restaurant
Nestled in Bridgetown, Barbados, Lobster Alive is a must-visit for seafood enthusiasts. This casual restaurant offers the freshest lobster on the island, sourced directly from the Caribbean waters and kept alive in a large tank until cooked to order. The restaurant's unique feature is its huge lobster tank where lobsters are flown in from nearby Grenadines by private aircraft. Visitors can choose their lunch right from the tank.
Lobster Alive in Carlisle Bay is a true beachfront gem, offering an unforgettable dining experience. We were fortunate to secure a table right on the sand, surrounded by white tablecloths and candles, all while enjoying the soothing sounds of the ocean and live jazz. The food was exceptional, with fresh seafood and beautiful presentation. The drink menu was impressive, featuring creative cocktails and a well-curated wine list. Our attentive server made the experience even better. Overall, although Lobster Alive is pricier, it’s still a must-visit for a romantic evening or a delightful meal. The combination of stunning views, fantastic food, and live music makes it a standout spot in Barbados. Huge thumbs up!
RAW E — Google review
Fresh amazing lobsters just by the beach. It's on the pricier side, but worth it, we came here twice. Can be busy in the evenings, booking recommended. Going for the lobster itself rather than other dishes makes sense here.
Vera S — Google review
Lobster Alive is definitely my favourite restaurant on the island. The lobsters couldn’t be fresher and were grilled to perfection. The live jazz band was amazing. We had a fabulous time dining here and will certainly be back again on our next trip to Barbados!
Evelyn W — Google review
I was finally able to visit Lobster Alive since I usually visit Barbados when it’s closed. I came in a Tuesday night when it just opened in the evening. It was quiet, but did not matter. The service was impeccable, from the front door to the waitresses to the chef asking me to pick my lobster I was fully taken care of and not hovered over. The lobster Thermidor was fabulous. Lived up to my expectations. Loved the look. Sat on the deck and took in the whole view. Loved the decor and jazz music. No one rushed me and I will definitely return.
Shannon M — Google review
Lobster Alive, Barbados – Lovely Beachfront Ambience Before leaving the island, I visited Lobster Alive for a solo lunch. Located on the beachfront, the light, beachy decor perfectly matched the vibe. I was warmly greeted by the front-of-house team and my waiter. In a rush, I managed to enjoy a starter, a rich pasta main, and a glass of wine. The food was nice, though I’d try the lobster next time. The calming ambience, with gentle music and stunning beach views, made it a worthwhile experience. The front-of-house team went the extra mile to help me get a cab and navigate traffic quickly to my destination. While I’d happily return, I’d also feel content if I didn’t. Worth a visit for the atmosphere!
Ruby — Google review
You cannot find a better location (ON THE BEACH!) to eat the best fresh lobster in Barbados! Let them pick one for you or get up and select your own from their enormous lobster pool. You can get an average lobster or you can get a MONSTER!!!! Go for it! This place has been family owned and operated for generations and it can't be beat. The staff is great and the kitchen does it right every time! If you're in Barbados (local or visitor) and you want lobster, you must go to Lobster Alive!!!
Scott K — Google review
I went twice, Very nice beachfront restaurant with an enjoyable atmosphere. A jazz band was playing swing, not my taste but they were very good musicians. The service is very attentive. Particularly, the lobster and creme brulee were delicious. Be aware, it is expensive.
Rainer G — Google review
From start to finish, our experience at Lobster Alive was nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere immediately set a unique and unforgettable mood — relaxed, warm, and perfectly in tune with the stunning surroundings. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated to create a memorable evening. A very special thank you to the staff, who made the experience even more incredible, especially Michel, the manager. Her attention to detail, genuine kindness, and effortless hospitality truly stood out and made us feel so welcome. It’s rare to find a place where the food, the setting, and the people all come together so seamlessly. I will absolutely be returning and recommending Lobster Alive to anyone looking for a truly special dining experience. 🇧🇧♥️

Located just south of Bridgetown, Brown Sugar Restaurant is a must-visit spot for those seeking an authentic taste of Barbadian and Caribbean cuisine. The restaurant is renowned for its all-you-can-eat Planters Buffet lunch, featuring a lavish four-course spread of Bajan dishes such as cou cou, flying fish, bul jol, fish cakes, souse, and an array of homemade desserts. The service was great the wait staff was very attentive and the food was very delicious. I had the Seafood Medley. They also brought out a slice of chocolate cake for my daughter and sang Happy Birthday

The lunch buffet is really good and there is a lot of choice. If you want to have local food, this is the right place. Our host was nice and friendly. It is busy on Sundays, it's better to get a reservation. Last service is at 2.30 pm.

Nice restaurant serving local cuisine. Good friendly service. I assume the food is prepared in a traditional way, but we, having a European taste, didn’t find it delicious. Nevertheless, it was interesting to try.

Brown Sugar; what a little gem. Enjoyed this place a lot. Decor was very nice and the food was great. Service was wonderful. A casual dining experience with a little flair.

Just enjoyed a delicious gluten free buffet lunch at Brown Sugar, and would definitely go back again! It meant so much to be able to try the Island's local dishes in a gluten free version-- made me feel like I wasn't missing out so much! Especially loved the pepper pot, the fish cakes and steamed pudding with gravy.

Went there on a Saturday night, employees very polite and nice. However, as previously mentioned the restaurant is not air conditioned but the washrooms were which is a plus. There were many fans but was very hot still. The food was ok, had the coconut beer shrimp and the seafood medley, the shrimp were huge but the seafood medley was a little disappointing as I was expecting other types of seafood such as clams and mussels as the menu had described instead there was only shrimp and fish. My group had arrived at 6:30pm and it took almost 45 minutes for our appetizers to be served. Our drinks order was wrong however it was corrected. Our waitress also informed us a few items on the menu was not available and service took a very long time. Overall after expecting a better experience I was terribly disappointed.
Karina W — Google review
Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff, varied menu, great drinks. This restaurant has everything going for it except: 1. Some of the meals lack a little flavour. I had the King Prawns they were perfectly seasoned but tried my other friends' meals and they were a little bland. 2. And perhaps what let's it down the most bit could be easily rectified: the presentation of the food is sub-par. For such a beautiful restaurant, I would expect more creative presentation. Due to the above, I couldn't give 5 stars. Saying this, becauae of the other things I enjoyed about the restaurant, I would return.
Lydie N — Google review
Ordered the seafood fettuccine, it was quite tasty. Very flavorful, would order again! Also ordered the fruit punch, which was really yummy, it comes frozen, and is somewhat of a mix between a slushy and a smoothie. My rating is low because the rest of my party did not enjoy their food. Did not enjoy the crab cakes as an appetizer. They also did not enjoy the snapper or curry shrimp. Overall, not the tastiest place we've been on the island. Overall, I would recomend the seafood fettuccine, it was delicious (along with the fruit punch). As for the other dishes, mentioned above, I would not recomend.

Located on the picturesque St. Lawrence Bay, Primo Bar & Bistro, previously known as Pisces, is a modern restaurant offering a fusion of Italian-Mediterranean flavors with a Caribbean influence. The elegant eatery provides diners with breathtaking ocean views and a diverse menu featuring fresh seafood, juicy steaks, and gourmet pizzas. It's an ideal spot to savor delectable dishes while enjoying the stunning coastal scenery in a contemporary setting.
One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Delicious food, AMAZING service, and such peaceful vibes. The hostess actually came outside to greet my family and welcome us in. Our waitress was so kind and attentive. We also had an amazing view of the sea as we ate and chatted. Came for my birthday and I highly recommend going for special occasions. Even locals I talked to love going there for special occasions. Primo really is the best!
Aderonke A — Google review
The ambiance was exactly what I was looking for, for my birthday sunset dinner. The special dinner menu had a great set of options for the price and portions. (The Half Chicken, Jambalaya, and Alfredo) My only complaint is the service felt a bit rushed, very sweet servers but they made my friends and I feel a bit antsy with how much they came to the table. (I recommend using one or the same form of payment when in a group like cash only.) The desserts were so good! Very well balanced with variety. Their specialty cocktails are good the common ones are okay, but overall I would go back again. *Not my best photos or videos.*
Kaikai F — Google review
Wasn't sure, and didn't go with high expectations as no one personally had recommended this place. It was our last evening and wanted to go somewhere nice. Primo didn't disappoint. They were excellent from reception to our server Junior who needs a special mention as he was running around continually, up and down the stairs and attentive to all tables he was looking after. The food was excellent, from starters such as steak brochette to chicken bao buns. Delicious. Mains were also excellent. Salmon, a generous piece on a bed of potatoes, chicken fettuccine, parmesan crusted Barracuda and the blue fin tuna with wasabi and soy was all excellent. Deserts, classic bread and butter pub ING and a bed of rum cream liquor was divine, as was the toffee sticky pudding and chocolate brownies. Cocktails, were excellent too. Including cocktails. The ambience, location, views and service was all spot on. Subtle music playing which all added to the experience. Fabulous. And the prices was reasonable as well. So all in all a great evening for any occasion.

This is our first time in Barbados, and we have been to Primo twice this week and we couldn’t fault them what so ever, the food, the atmosphere and the staff are amazing. Ricardo King & Javon were our waiters and they were an absolute delight and a credit to Primo! If you go here definitely ask for them! ❤️

Primo is located on the ocean view area of St. Lawrence Gap, Christ Church, Barbados [South Coast]. Reservations are typically required and we arrived about 15 minutes early, but the staff was nice and accommodating. Menu is diverse with hints of local cuisine but for the most part the menu has an international theme. Some items include New Zealand Lamb, Greek Salmon, Duck A L'Orange and Jambalaya "Primo Style." If this is your first time to Primo, you may receive a complimentary desert which includes a sparkler. Very fun! Overall the food was fantastic. Our server Ricardo was very polite and attentive. Listening to the waves against the shore while having dinner is also a great plus. We will definitely be returning to Primo during our next trip to Barbados. Pros - Large appetizer/starters selection [Primo Signature Flying Fish was amazing] - Large entree/main menu selection - Great cocktail selection [also thank you for having Guinness!] - Amazing artistic food presentations - Beautiful ocean side views - Very clean restrooms Cons - None

Just Grillin' Sunset Crest is a popular haunt for locals and visitors seeking affordable, delicious local food in Barbados. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including jerk chicken, grilled shrimp, blackened catch of the day, barbecued ribs, and Caesar salad. The casual and friendly atmosphere of this open-air grill and bar makes it a popular spot for enjoying some of the best-grilled fish on the island.
This restaurant has a casual laid back atmosphere, whether dining in or take out, it's always good food at value with generous portions...with 2 locations and both ideally situated...this one is my favorite. From platters to sandwiches with your side orders, along with beers, soft drinks, liquors and blended cocktails...everything is tasty, delicious and fresh, they also offers prepackaged desserts. This however is not a service restaurant, so don't go with such expectations...your number is called and you pickup...so no additional charges or tips. The restaurant is clean and comfortable with a nice atmosphere of relaxation, just about everything you need is in close proximity including your accommodations. The staff however is too laid back and a lot can be said about their unfriendly body language towards customers, especially in an area that is steeped with tourists, and quite popular with locals.

Just flew in to Barbados with the family on April 14th. After a long day of travel, two flights, a crazy supermarket visit, getting to unpacked and somewhat organized…. Then letting the kids run into the ocean at sunset… we finally found something close to home that smelled delicious Took a bit to order and then get the food, but it was pretty tasty. The hotdog through my 9 year old off due to the bbq flavour, I got the jerk chicken platter with rice. A few ordered the burger and we also got a marlin platter. All in all the food was decent. I thought the jerk chicken would have a little more punch to it. The rice was ammmmmaaaaaazing. That through me off in a good way. I was very flavourful and the red sauce on top of it added to the tastiness of the dish. I would go back, but not before we explore the island. Oh the strawberry daiquiri was delish as well. Bad photos…. I know.

Came here after snorkeling and walking around for a bit. We both ordered a burger. The staff wasn’t very friendly and the food took awhile to get. Once we got the food, it was a let down. Not worth the wait or price. The burger had no real flavor and had two small pieces of cut lettuce on there. What?!? How do you not put a full piece of lettuce on? I asked for no tomato which they left on which isn’t a big deal but it’s annoying. The coleslaw was mediocre compared to the amazing coleslaw I’d been eating in Barbados at other places. The corn on the cob was shriveled up and kind of hard like it was microwaved for way too long. There was no seasoning on it either. My husband got fries and a Cesar salad for his sides and the salad was very small with runny flavorless dressing. The fries were alright. Overall, we were really hungry so we ate it but it was the worst meal we had in Barbados. Definitely would not be back.

Greeted the cashier and no response. Placed the order and advised that we were dining in. Order came, it was in a to go containers. I ordered dolphin and vegetables and they were overcooked. The dolphin was dry. Inedible! This is not your usual standard. We were disappointed! This is your Holetown location on 04 Sep 25 around 215pm.

Ordered some takeaway as this spot is close. Very yummy ribs and rice! Serving comes with 3 pieces of ribs, I ate two before taking a photo. Recommend a visit!

Great little find in the centre of Holetown. Went for dinner tonight 21.06.25 and the staff were brilliant, they were working so hard because the queue didn’t stop once! The locals use this place so you know the food is amazing. We had ribs and jerk chicken, the meat was so tender and the macaroni pie was the best. Very reasonably priced and a great family atmosphere! Loved it!

Italian restaurant
Nestled at the entrance of the Courtyard by Marriott complex, Buzo Osteria Italiana has quickly become a must-visit spot on Barbados' vibrant dining scene. This charming eatery, helmed by Italian Chef Cristian Grini, boasts an inviting atmosphere where guests can indulge in a diverse menu filled with generous portions of antipasti, fresh pasta, pizzas, and an array of meat, fish, seafood, and vegetarian options.
Summary: outstanding food, upscale and pricey Food: fried app trio was okay…Lacked flavor. The mahi mahi on zoodles/chickpeas special was outstanding. The specialty side salad was great too. Dessert was fantastic but overpriced. Delicious treat, yes, but $16 for a slice of cheesecake? Yea, absolutely not worth it. Feedback to the GM: your food is very good — fresh and flavorful— but your prices are a tad high, coming from an American. Even by fancy American restaurant standards, your prices are quite high. Delicious, but I don’t know that I will return purely based on cost factor alone.

The location was easy to get to, open and the hostess was very welcoming. Our server, though he stated he was new and hasn’t tried much of the menu, was still able to give some good recommendations. We started with the tuna tartare which was great, and the mushroom risotto, which was slightly undercooked. The flavor was there however, it wasn’t even cooked through. Onto our mains which were beautifully cooked and made us forget about the risotto almost immediately. The lamb was beautifully cooked and tender and the mint sauce was luscious, and extremely flavorful! My husband had the roasted half chicken which was falling off the bone and incredibly easy to eat. He isn’t a dark meat man but started with the thigh and leg and said it was cooked to perfection. We also got the lasagna which was flavorful and cooked so well. It had the crispy edges that I love and a soft tender inside that was overcooked. We ended with the chocolate soufflé and cheesecake and both desserts were beautiful!!! The soufflé came with a berry sauce and ice cream which were so perfectly because it was so decadent and the cheesecake had a great crust and was super creamy but also light! Our meal was beautiful and our server was great! Beautiful location and very spacious!

I recently visited Buzo Osteria Italiana in Bridgetown, and I can confidently say that this restaurant lives up to its new title as Restaurant of the Year in the Caribbean! From the moment I stepped in, I was struck by the warm, elegant ambiance — an inspired fusion of Italian old-world charm and Caribbean vibrancy. The open-kitchen layout added a theatrical touch: watching fresh pasta being rolled, mozzarella stretched by hand, and pizzas pulled from the wood-fired oven felt like being part of a culinary performance. Every dish was a masterpiece. The polentina cotta al forno con gorgonzola e miele al tartufo was divine — a perfect balance of creaminess, earthiness, and sweet truffle notes. The Gamberoni alla Diavola showcased the best of local fresh seafood combined with bold Mediterranean flavors, and the Ligurian meatballs—which carry a secret blend of meats—were tender, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. Service was impeccable. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive without being intrusive, and clearly passionate about each dish. They guided me through wine pairings, explained menu details, and made me feel genuinely welcomed. It’s no surprise that Buzo has now been ranked #1 in the Caribbean and placed #41 in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. They’ve seamlessly married authentic Italian technique with Caribbean soul, and the result is world-class dining right here in Barbados. If you’re in Barbados and want an unforgettable culinary experience, Buzo Osteria Italiana is a must. Bravo to the entire team — I can’t wait to return!

This place has a wonderfully relaxing ambiance and was easily one of the best dining experiences we had in this area of Barbados. While the prices are slightly higher than other spots nearby, the quality makes it well worth it. The bruschetta was outstanding, flavorful and generously portioned. We saved this visit for the last day of our trip, thinking it might be overhyped, but we instantly regretted not coming sooner, it would have been our go-to dinner spot. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided great details about the specials and dishes.

Located on the picturesque Batts Rock Beach, La Cabane is a charming beachfront restaurant with a bohemian vibe. The open-air layout and relaxed atmosphere make it an ideal spot to savor locally sourced dishes while enjoying the ocean views. This popular venue offers a variety of grilled meats, fresh seafood, and refreshing salads, along with creative cocktails.
The atmosphere was great. Sitting right on the beach, the chill vibe really comes through. The service was very friendly and I felt very comfortable. Food wise, everything was great, and we recommend the fish tacos and ceviche for starters. The chicken with the sauce was so delicious and definitely get the plantains. Our only fallback was on the desserts; we got the chocolate orange tart and cheesecake and they were good but not outstanding. Thank you for having us and we hope to be back. 8.8/10

Hidden gem on Batts Rock! The staff are great, food delicious and the view is sensational. Prices are high, but worth it for the delicious food. Starters, mains and desserts all worth a try. We visited twice during our stay and enjoyed both times. On Saturday’s they have a DJ which was great fun!

Absolutely love this place. (Note it is closed until October. This is must do if you are over this way in Barbados. We went twice. First time was a walk in at lunch. From the beach. It was quiet and we were accommodated without any issues. The second time was an evening meal that coincided with sunset. Which is a must do if you get the chance. (Do book this time). We went twice which say it all. The food honestly is fantastic. So many options but the fish of the day was choice for me. It has a great drinks menu. The location/setting is superb, but you are on a sandy beach in the elements. So you might encounter flies but they have fly fans to help. So prepare for that. Lastly the staff are great, very attentive and helpful. This is my dream location to eat. I am so happy we discovered this place from a recommendation from our local taxi driver.

This cool, right on the beach bar and restaurant is the perfect place to watch the sunsetting and enjoy a cocktail, food, live music and friendly service. It has a wonderfully relaxed feel. The menu is limited but the food is good if rather secondary to the great location on Batts Rock Beach. La Cabane is the only venue on this beach and has plenty of parking. There are serviced, clean but basic toilet facilities. Book a table if the sunset is your aim but the lighting and atmosphere are great after dark too. It’s a must visit destination.

The restaurant of my dreams. I could live here. Almost don’t want to give a review so great of fear of it being too discovered. Amazing services, amazing food, great environment, dig the music, absolutely killer location. And when the swell is right, great wedge to surf. I hope one day to own a place this great in paradise.

Mustor's Restaurant, established in 1941, is a charming eatery in Bridgetown, Barbados that has retained its old-world charm with minimal changes over the years. The restaurant offers a no-nonsense approach to dining with a focus on delicious food. It is known for serving iconic Bajan dishes such as cou cou and flying fish, along with local drinks like mauby.
I absolutely loved the Flying Fish and Cou-Cou, the national dish of Barbados! The service was excellent, and the owner was such a friendly and welcoming person. Every dish served was amazing. If you’re in Barbados, this place is a must-visit for some delicious local cuisine!

Wow! Authentic bajan food. Very satisfying meal of flying fish. The staff was very pleasant. If you're visiting Barbados; this is a definite visit to place to add for "places to eat." Prices were very reasonable, and portions were plentiful. Nice view too if you sit on the balcony. This is a true gem of Barbados. Highly recommend!

My taxi driver recommended Mustor's for local food. His father is an executive chef in New York, and this is his favorite restaurant on the island- I can see why! The flying fish and cou cou were delicious! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. It felt and tasted like a homemade meal!
Orláith D — Google review
I visited Mustor’s with my family while in Barbados on a cruise, and it was a disappointing experience. We shared two local dishes—flying fish and marlin with typical sides—but the marlin seemed spoiled. While my family found it off, I ate more of it and ended up with severe diarrhea, fever, and a headache that lasted several days. The rest of the family had mild symptoms. The restaurant was a bit neglected, and the British owner was not the most welcoming person. Although the flying fish was ok, given the negative experience I would not recommend this restaurant.
Luis T — Google review
Had delicious flying fish and coocoo (sp?) with ice cold beer, sitting on a little balcony where you could see folks walking around downtown Bridgetown and the ocean in the distance! Price was great too- cash only. We got there at 11:45, and it was totally full by the time we left! Service was fantastic- they even offered to come give us extra gravy halfway through the meal.

The sleek wooden decking, floor-to-ceiling windows, and white-washed walls create a tranquil setting for dining. Whether you choose to dine inside, enjoy nibbles at the bar, or have dinner al fresco, the inventive menu offers a fusion of Mediterranean dishes with a Caribbean twist.
Was there for a end of crop over party and this venue is lit. The interior areas have natural lighting and the deck which overhangs the water is amazing. The retractable roof makes it that you don’t have to run inside should the rain start. Amazing views, friendly staff and good food. Overall fabulous! Best party of the season! Will be back!

The experience here overall was pleasant. The food was tasty but the service boys were all young and clearly not up to par with the value of service that this restaurant should be at for the higher end cost of the dishes, decor and valet service. No issues but they seemed a little clueless at times about what/how they should do things.

Positives... Great ambience, very friendly, good service attentive not over powering. The manager on the evening was very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. Starters were great (lobster salad and Crab cakes), had a very nice Sauv Blanc to go with the meal. The Atlantic Salmon from the mains was lovely... The only let down (which was handled well by the manager) was the Lobster main dish from the specials was very chewy... I was expecting for the price for it to be soft, well cooked lobster. The manager as I said looked after us, I think with the lobster being cooked well this was an easy 4 stars....

This visit was a bit of an impromptu 30th Anniversary celebration. The tone of the email confirmation was the first indication of what was to come. From the moment we drove up, we were totally wowed by the unexpected valet parking. As we disembarked and entered the reception area, we were greeted and shown to our table. Our cocktails were ordered and promptly brought to us. These were quickly followed by the three courses of our meal, with constant attention by the staff there. When we thought it was all over, a small additional cheesecake was presented to us on a well decorated dessert plate as a surprise for our anniversary. We also had a staff member volunteer to assist us as we took seafront photos on the terrace before departing.

The staff are very good. I have quiet a few issues with food and ash if then would find out if something was OK to eat or The chef would adjust the dish. They anyways ask if you are ready for the main if you have had a starter. They are anyways filling you glass of water. Very friendly. I would recommend to book a table but if you very in around 6pm to 6.30pm you might be lucky to get a table. There are a few steps into the restaurant so bear that in mind if steps are a problem. Mexican restaurant
Cafe Sol is a well-known Mexican restaurant in St. Lawrence Gap, Barbados, offering an authentic taste of Mexico in the Caribbean. The vibrant atmosphere and diverse menu make it a popular choice for locals and tourists alike. From classic dishes like tacos, burritos, fajitas, and enchiladas to options like nachos, empanadas, and tostadas, the restaurant serves up fresh and flavorful Mexican cuisine.
On our first visit to the island and being vegan there are limited options available. My daughter and I first visited this place on a busy night, tables were limited so we were sat at the bench over looking the sea...and what a beautiful view we had. I ordered the veg fajitas and my daughter ordered the chicken enchiladas. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food. My fajitas were stunning and sizzling and the chicken enchiladas were succulent! The service can be a little slow and the server was too quick to take my plate even though I hadn't finished but my daughter had. I told her to come back. We loved the place so much we went again for a late lunch. Although less busy and the service was a little slower. I could not fault our server. She was attentive and suggested other vegan options for me, this time I tried the burrito and my daughter ate the chicken salad....OMG it was divine. If you're ever on the island I would suggest visiting....you will not be disappointed!

Great mex place on the corner of the gap. Good location and views. Really nice service, casual dining. Never sure about eating food that's not generally a local dish, but this place knows how to do mex food. All traditional mex dishes, and decently done with fresh ingredients. Service, even though busy was really good. Even without a booking and them being pretty busy, they still managed to squeeze us in. Reasonable prices for good food.

A friend of ours who is a local told us about this spot and we are so glad that she did!!!! The food was very flavorful and well presented. They had options for basically everyone ranging from wings to salads to steaks to tacos. The staff were very helpful and accommodating which is definitely a plus!!!! The food came out quickly, it was piping hot and the price really is not much different than what you would expect at an American restaurant back home. The ONLY issue I had was the size of the wings because they were tiny BUT they were still delicious!!!! They are closed on Mondays and are very popular on the weekends especially; so plan accordingly.

Wasn't to impressed with the service or the temperature of the foods on my last visit here. 2-1 cocktails is now 2nd cocktails for half price. Clumsy waitress marked my t-shirt with her pen as she went pass me! Back again and again.... love this place as it offers you something different from all the other places. Great Mexican restaurant with good quality food and drinks. Big portions served in a great location at one end of st Lawrence gap. Happy hour is 5-6pm every evening and 10-11pm, also 2 for 1 on a special selected drink every evening till close, Great cocktails. It gets very busy and normally no bookings are taken on partys less then 4 persons so you may have to wait out or the bar if there's space. Fairly priced and worth a visit.

Lovely beach and snorkeling was an experience although no turtles were seen. Plenty of beautiful fish though. Food and drinks on the pricey side but only like everywhere in Barbados. We keep forgetting that Taxes etc are added on to the prices which doesn't help. The coconut shrimps though, they were to die for they were so big and delicious, well worth trying those. Located on Bay Street, Bridgetown, The Boatyard is the ideal spot for calm waters, white sandy beaches, great food and drinks, along with activities for both kids and adults. If you are staying on the south coast, it is a straightforward drive along the coast to Bridgetown, St. Michael. It is also in close proximity to the cruise ship port making it a great spot to spend a few hours when your ship is docked. The entrance fee includes credit towards food and drinks up to a specific amount. The amenities and activities include snorkeling and rope swings but if you would rather relax, they are plenty of chairs and umbrellas available. This wasn't our first time to the Boatyard and I must say that they have definitely stepped their game up with lunch. Everything that we ordered was 5 star quality. I truly do not think that you can find better fishcakes on the island. You will also have to pay close attention to the signs on the walls - you might just giggle at some of them. Overall it was a great experience and will definitely return on our next trip to Barbados. PROS - Beautiful beaches - Great food selection and quality - Great drinks - Good value for money - Wide range of activities included in entrance fee - Short distance from the cruise ship port CONS - Parking can be dicey depending on the time of day - You may have to wait up to 45 minutes for food depending on the time of day

The mango daiquiri was so good. I could taste it in my mind long after . My food was great too. Beautiful atmosphere. The money remaining on the ticket can’t buy you a proper meal. They should probably remove that 🤷🏽‍♀️. Loved the place though.

Great time at the boatyard. Spent the entire day with my family of 7 here. Looks like prices went up in the last few months. Atmosphere was great, friendly staff, food was pretty good, drinks were delicious. The kids had a great snorkel adventure and loved the 2 bounce trampolines. Bathrooms were clean I was on crutches and didn’t have any issues getting around.

The Boatyard really worked for us. We found it to be the most organised of the beach clubs we attended. They have towels to rent which we found useful. Great that the boat trip is available and included. Amazing to see the fish and the wreck. Deals on beer at the bar. Good restaurant with nice seating to get away from the sun if you want it. Good toilet facilities that were always being cleaned. Friendly staff and really enjoyed our day here

We went here recently after a holiday to Barbados. We went to Pebble beach at around 6 am to watch the race horses being bathed in the water and then went into Bridgetown to explore the city. Following this we went to the boatyard at around 9:30 am. For 70 Barbadian Dollars per person (around 30 GBP) we thought the price was very worthwhile considering you get 40 Barbadian dollars per person on a card to spend on food and drinks + a trip snorkelling at the shipwrecks in Carlisle Bay. the Bathrooms weren’t the best. In the men’s there was one cubicle and 2 urinals. However you don’t spend much time in them so it’s not an issue. The beach is absolutely beautiful and there were plenty of sun loungers available for all guests. The Snorkelling trip was just incredible. We went about 20-30 mins in the water looking at the fish and the wreck. 2 stingrays and a tarpon showed themselves briefly. Once we got onto the boat a turtle came right up to the guide who was still in the water at the time. The food was absolutely incredible. Coconut shrimp especially was to die for. We had such a great time there we went there twice!
Callum M — Google review
We were walking along the beach, looking for a place to stop for a drink and some food, and this beach club was the last one in the bay, looking like the best option. When we tried to enter from the beach side, we were stopped by staff. We explained that we wanted to come in to eat and drink. To our surprise, the employees refused entry and immediately became aggressive, calling us "dishonest." We were completely confused and repeatedly asked for an explanation, but they only mentioned something about a "band" without elaborating. When we asked how we could enter, their only response was to rudely tell us to go to another restaurant. Only back at our hotel with internet access did we manage to find out that there is apparently an entrance fee to be paid on the street side. What a shame. We would have been happy to pay the fee and enjoy the place, but nobody explained the rules to us. Instead, the staff’s aggressive and frightening behavior ruined the experience. Management needs to train their staff on proper communication and customer service. There is no excuse for calling guests "dishonest" and being aggressive simply for not knowing an uncommunicated entry policy.

Nestled along the picturesque south coast of Hastings, Naru Restaurant and Lounge has been delighting diners since 2011 with its unique blend of Caribbean and Pan-Asian fusion cuisine. This charming eatery offers a diverse menu that caters to all tastes, featuring everything from exquisite sushi and sashimi to hearty pork chops and flavorful Thai chicken curry. Guests can savor their meals on the terrace while soaking in breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, making for an unforgettable dining experience.
It was a hidden experience for me. Imagine driving past this restaurant, maybe for years. Figure it not for me. But I was pleasantly surprised last Friday, and I dined with my wife there. The food, drinks, and dessert menu are expansive, and they delivered on service and taste. That's why we are heading back there this weekend with all the grown kids and their associates, which is leaning toward my go-to place for dining and having that real Japanese experience. I'm tempted to compare against the other, but I wouldn't. Let's just say I enjoyed Narus' experience.

Food was excellent. Service was quite good. It was extremely hot and cloying inside the restaurant. Not enough fans and no air conditioning. The night would have been perfect if it was a little bit cooler. They could really step it up a notch if they installed air conditioning. That or put more fans ends to circulate the air. If not for the very uncomfortable temperatures and humidity, it would have been fantastic night.

One of my favorite restaurants in Barbados! Always a great time & great drinks! The staff is warm and impeccable! Choose anything you think you would like, it will never disappoint. From entrance, photo opportunities, staff, quality of food, ambience, location! NARU hits it out of the park.

Discovered this place on our last night. Fantastic wish we'd found it sooner. Will definitely return next year. Wonderful tuna sashimi and tune martini amongst others. Thankyou

If you are a sushi fan, this is worth the visit. Great combination of flavors on pretty much every dish that came out. Even the basics like tuna nigiri was great. The highlight was the martini glass of tuna tar-tar on a bed of greens. Staff was nice. Cocktails delicious. Be prepared for island time promptness 😊

Very good service, very attentive and very good quality food. Definitely recommend the calamari. Overall a great evening over the water. Bit pricey but worth it.

The atmosphere was relaxed and service was friendly, without being over the top. We arrived a little early and the server seated us straight away and offered us the happy hour cocktail menu even though there was only a few minutes left in happy hour! The location is gorgeous and you can hear the waves crashing as you eat. We had the blackened catch of the day and the fish and chips. Both were delicious.

Back again for a delicious evening. Pleasant evenings dining here. Excellent location open air overlooking the sea at the gap. And when the rain started to fall staff quick released the canopy to cover the area. Food and wine was pretty good here but there was no break between the first and second courses! Literally one after the other. Also on arrival the bottom floor of the restaurant was completely empty and the sign on the reception was turned around so there was no indication it was first floor dialling only! Set menu option. Staff were polite and attentive.

Really friendly and hospitable staff. Always checking to see if you needed anything. The food was nice and the setting was incredible being a waterfront restaurant. Really enjoyed dining here. Was so so quiet which we couldn’t quite understand as it is a lovely restaurant and we would have thought would be more busy!
Josh — Google review
The setting of this restaurant is lovely, the rum punch was lovely, then our meal arrived. My husband had the fish & chips, I had the half chicken with bbq sauce and rice and peas. The fish & chips came in what can only be described as a fruit basket lined with fake newspaper. As it was impossible to cut the food without tearing the paper, part of his meal ended up on the table! The fish was barracuda and was nice. My chicken 🐔, well that bird must have had a hard life! It was tough and dry, add in the rice and peas, this made the meal even drier! I ate half of it because I was hungry, my husband tried the other half. We mentioned these points to the waitress and she just laughed! This place is not cheap and we were looking forward to a lovely meal. Needless to say there are better places on the gap to spend out money. Perhaps we were just unlucky, we won't be back to test that theory.
Corinne H — Google review
Our booking coincided with happy hour which was a good bonus. From entering to leaving the restaurant staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The food was amazing. Fish cakes- best ever., well presented and the sauce was Devine. Cheeky wee garlic veg dish for a starter for the vegetarian. The blackened fish wow, 2 large chunky pieces of well seasoned and cooked fish, rested on top of the most perfect mash with veg and curry sauce around the plate. The pasta was of a large portion and delicious. Too full for dessert but coffee was lovely. The views were excellent. The Pinot Grigio was that good we had 3 glasses each. Highly recommended.

Surfer's Cafe, also known as The Cafe locally, is a laid-back and rustic restaurant and bar situated at the mouth of Oistins on the South Coast. It offers a delicious breakfast and lunch/dinner menu with live music by local artists on select nights. The cafe features deck seating that provides breathtaking views of the South Coast ocean. The food is hearty, traditional Bajan cuisine with generous portions, including homemade Bajan fish cakes and buljol.
We had breakfast here and it was great. If you're lucky, you can get one of the 2 tables with sea view. There is also some outdoor seating available. The food was great, the drinks were as expected and the prices were good. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast.

very nice location! We sat right on the edge with the ocean to our side (con: was kind of toasty, sun was right on us) the food came quickly and I was impressed with the quality and tastiness!! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here :)) I got the avocado toast with smoked salmon and every addition was well seasoned and prepared (the lil tomatoes were really good!!) my partner got the steak and eggs (well seasoned and nicely cooked steak!) and we got french toast to share (maybe a little over ambitious with the room in my stomach) but wow, I will be back here again
Yseult H — Google review
This was the best breakfast we had in Barbados (including Cafe Luna)! We were lucky enough to get one of the two tables on the outside patio above the surf on our first visit, but our second visit not on the patio was still well worth it. First off, the coffee is both excellent and hot (lukewarm coffee is a pet peeve of mine). I had the avocado toast which was sumptuous, and my partner had the excellent breakfast flatbread. The portions are ample so come with an appetite!

One of the best views around! Our table was very one of the two tables on the balcony and they are literally on the ocean, if you could jump you would fall in the water lol Great food (we went for breakfast), good service as well! A must go place if you are in Barbados

I’ve been on the island for the past couple of weeks and visited Surfers Café three times because the views and atmosphere are honestly amazing. It is right on the water, has relaxed vibes, and is a great spot to hang out. However, each time I ordered food, it took a very long time to arrive. Even when the café wasn’t busy, the wait for meals was much longer than expected. It definitely took away from the overall experience. If you are looking for a beautiful place to grab a drink and enjoy the ocean view, this is a solid choice. Just be prepared to wait quite a while if you plan on ordering food.

I had a table on the large verandah. The service was attentive and very funny. The yummy blue cheese hamburger came with a HUGE helping of fries. I'll definitely will have another hamburger but skip the fries for the sake of retaining my circumference 🤣🤣😂😂

This place was recommended by my Bajan friend. The service was not good. We placed our order and waited for about 40 mins no food, called the waiter over and he claimed there was a mix up. Offered us drinks to make up. Waited another 15mins they brought out only my burger and a fish appetizer, we did not order. . I thought they give my husband this to make up for the bad service. We waited some more and I then asked to speak to the manager. She apologized and offered us two drinks. I was almost finished eating my burger before my husband's fish dinner was brought out. The food was bland. I did not enjoy my burger and my husband's fish was not seasoned, it was not tasty. Our dinner date was not what we expected, I was very disappointed. Maybe it was just a bad night for service, but when you are on vacation you don't need to be stressed.

Took my daughter here for her birthday and it was not good. They were only 3 servers, who were obviously very busy So we had to sit and wait a while to be served and then had to sit and wait for the food to arrive for a long time. The outside seating area is not nice, its too dark and Bushy. No music to help with the atmosphere, so it was just dry and boring. We ordered wings which were like 3 or 4 small pieces cut up smh.
Sharon W — Google review
When we arrived we were advised that quite a few items on the menu were not available. We decided to go for the steak and it was very tasty indeed. The chips were exceptional (surprisingly). The soup starter and desert that we wanted were not available. The young waitress was very attentive. We very much enjoyed our meal.
Leonie O — Google review
We arrived for an early dinner when no one else was in the restaurant or bar. Word of caution... you enter through the side door. Initially, we thought the place was closed when we saw the lock on the front gate. We were welcomed by a friendly staff and an adorable cat named Jerry! (See pictures) Our server helped us by recommending local beer and menu selections. I had seen a yummy picture of pasta on Google and went to this restaurant with the intention to get the same dish. Found on the menu, I ordered penne pasta with all the vegetables and creamy pesto sauce. To my surprise, there were no mushrooms or corn in my dish even though I had seen them in the picture, on the menu and had ordered them. Despite that, the pasta was good and hit the spot for a weary traveler. My husband ordered a Tuna Wrap but was told it was made with canned tuna so changed his order to the Fish Wrap instead. He proclaimed after one bite that it was 85% lettuce. Not super satisfying. The fries that came with the wrap, however, were seasoned well and pretty outstanding. Considering the friendly service and cute cat, we were happy with our experience.

I visited Mojos Wednesday evening to watch the live band. The bar service is very poor as I believe is an every week occurrence, No one seems to know what they are doing and waiting time for a drink is shameful. Too many staff wondering around doing nothing tables on the outside not cleared. Clearly this place is a great venue that needs a good leader. Until that time I would not return as many other people there indicated the same. Sad as the band was fantastic.
Audrey C — Google review
I will start off and say that the food was very good. We ordered our drinks and put our order in at the same time. Drinks came in a reasonale time frame. When our Meal came it was in take out containers. They apologized for the mix up. Come on!!!!! The meal should never in a 100 years be presented in TAKE OUT CONTAINERS. Who allows this to happen. Really disappointed. Been coming there for over 10 years. But it is my Last time. It took an experience like that to lose my business. It effected the overall experience for me to vent my dissatisfaction.

Harbour Lights Barbados, located 2km southeast of Bridgetown, is a popular spot for dancing and socializing. On Monday nights, they host a Beach Party with transportation, buffet, drinks, live band, and themed entertainment. The venue also offers the Harbour Lights Dinner Show with live Caribbean bands and Bajan BBQ dinners on select nights.
This was definitely worth the price! Very entertaining, great food and the manager was an absolute gem. Great Staff!!! Very attentive and knowledgeable. The dancers, amazing. This was our first night in Barbados and we are so happy we decided to attend this show. The rum punches will give you a good punch after a few. Tourists all dressed decently. I wish this wasn’t only on Wednesdays and Thursday but everyday

From start to finish the Harbor Lights Show delivered with customer service, entertainment, welcoming atmosphere, and great food! If requested, they can provide transportation from your hotel or villa. Our transportation was on time and the driver was very courteous. Upon entering the venue you are greeted with your first rum punch followed by a souvenirs vender with some reasonably priced goods. Then you are greeted and seated. All drinks, food, beverages are included. Tips are welcome and I would say well deserved. Before the show begins, you can get drinks or some appetizers. The show will provide a few great acts before dinner. I forgot to mention, as you enter, you are asked what kind of meal you would like (jerked chicken, steak, shrimp, fish) and receive a ticket. Mid show you have dinner which was delicious and little after dinner dessert is available. The food was cooked and seasoned well and the drinks were not watered down! The show was a combination of history, a little carnival vibe, that later turned into a party. I am glad we made this choice. I would recommend to anyone!

Harbour lights was a fantastic beach club on boatyard beach. Only a 10 min taxi from the cruise port for $5, the beach club was $35pp for sunbed, umbrella and a snorkeling boat trip to the shipwrecks and to swim with turtles. It was worth the entry fee for the snorkeling trip alone. Sunbed service for drinks and food. The food was really good. Highly recommended for a great day in Barbados

The show was amazing. I had so much fun dancing and singing along. The dancers were very professional and entertaining. The band sounded good and kept the audience engaged. I highly recommend attending. There was plenty of food to choose from but it could have been more flavorful. Dessert was simple but delicious. The ice cream helped cool me off from all the dancing I was doing in my seat. The event ends with a full on dance party. So much fun!! Tip: Guests are asked to arrive at 7. They check you in, give you a welcome drink (rum punch 🥳) and show you to your seat. There are appetizers to enjoy prior to the start of the show around 740. Dinner isn't served until 830. Be prepared to eat late.

Best experience in Barbados for entertainment. Great entertainment showcasing Barbados rich culture and history. The variety of dancing was amazing. I love how much the performers interacted with the guests which adds more memorable moments. The food was absolutely amazing, fresh and my steak was cooked to perfection. Unlimited drinks were very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would do this again on my next visit. I highly recommend Harbour Lights for the entire family.

Fabulous night at the dinner show. Food was very good and served efficiently given the amount of people there. Pre dinner appetisers were welcome to have with your welcome rum punch. Drinks were good too, best pina colada I’ve had all holiday and the rum and tonic was a good measure. Just be mindful that some cocktails are not part of the package but can be purchased for 12 USD. Entertainment was very good, and there is a real party atmosphere. I would definitely recommend an evening out at Harbour Lights.

We were on a cruise and Barbados was one of the ports. We wanted to go to a local beach and found Harbour Lights Beach Club while searching online. Made reservations for a front row reserved seat that included two lounge chairs and umbrella. Paid just a bit more to include turtle snorkeling. We took a taxi from the pier for 5.00. We arrived at Harbour Lights and checked in. It’s a nice beach club with great drink service on the beach. Derek took care of us and provided great service. There was never much of a wait getting our drinks. The beach club has restrooms and showers. The turtle snorkeling was good. We saw colorful fish, a couple stingrays and turtles. Highly recommend. Would definitely return next time we’re in Barbados.

The card machines don’t show the totals when you pay so tourists beware!!!! Staff aren’t friendly, loads of nicer places to try instead. This bar definitely doesn’t represent the local area!!!!!! Great place to watch sports if your looking for games. They were able to put any games we asked for on the tvs. The food is above average for a sports bar. I tried the fried shrimp and then the roasted half chicken with a Caesar salad and grilled shrimp. My friends food all looked decent as well. If there's a Gane you want to catch while on vacation this seems like the spot to be at. Drinks were nice and strong as well.

Absolutely perfect! The food at QP Bistro was nothing short of amazing, every bite was delicious. Service was quick, and the staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and even gave me great recommendations for things to do around Barbados. Now let’s talk about that passion fruit cheesecake… hands down the best thing I’ve ever tasted in my life. If you’re in Barbados, do yourself a favor and RUN to this restaurant. Highly recommend!

I got to check out QP Bistro, and wow… what a vibe. I went with a few friends to celebrate a birthday, and we ended up going right around sunset. Honestly, that was the perfect time because the whole place just lit up with this warm glow, and the live music in the background made it feel even more special. I went for the ribeye steak, and it was pretty solid—juicy, flavorful, definitely hit the spot. My friends ordered the grilled Caribbean spiny lobster and the catch of the day, plus a kingfish crudo to start, and everyone was pretty happy with their plates. The food matches the setting: a little fancy, a little island touch, and very satisfying. Now, heads up—this place is on the pricier side. Definitely not an everyday spot, but for a special dinner (like a birthday, date, or just treating yourself), it feels worth it. Between the ambience, the sunset, the music, and the food, it all comes together into a pretty memorable night.

Lots and lots of hype regarding QP Bistro. Lots! So of course we had to see what all of the hype was about. We decided to visit for lunch prior to hitting the beach at One Sandy Lane. Our server - Antonio, the man. Best server we have had by far on any of our trips to Barbados. We could talk to Antonio for hours if time permitted. Polite, attentive, funny and very knowledgeable about food and Barbados in general. Starter - Our lunch started off great with a nice presentation of fresh bread roll options. The jalapeno option was our favorite. I opted for the Amazing Spanish Gazpacho soup which is served cold. Yes, I was a little skeptical at first regarding cold soup but Antonio reassured me that I would not be disappointed - and I was NOT. Great flavors, texture and presentation. The Caribbean Spiced Chicken Wings were well executed. Tender with a nice BBQ sauce accompanied by a side of coleslaw. Most restaurants don't worry about presentation when it comes to wings but most restaurants aren't like QP Bistro. Main Course - The Beef Burger was cooked perfectly and the presentation of the fries in a mini fry basket was a very nice touch. Pairing the cheesy Ground Provision au Gratin with the Blackened Catch Of the Day was a good choice. I cannot recall exactly what the "Catch of the Day" fish was but typically in Barbados it is either Mahi-Mahi or Marlin..just to name a few. Dessert - Our choices for dessert were the Mr. Whippy's Soft Serve Ice Cream served in a waffle cone, the Tiramisu which is was a nice blend of coffee and dark chocolate. Both were a great ending to our lunch. Not too sweet. We also tried the Passion Fruit Cheesecake. I wouldn't call it the best cheesecake we've ever had but it was still good. Drinks - Strawberry daiquiri, was amazing as expected. But really, those drinks are hard to mess up anyways. As a person who loves stouts, bocks and dark beer, it was nice to see Guinness as an option on the menu. I had a few. If you would prefer liquor or a mixed drink, you are in excellent hands. They have an extensive list of options. For the Whiskey/Bourbon options alone, I counted about 23 different options. At the end of our experience, because it wasn't just lunch, it was an experience - our server allowed us to feed the fish in their beautiful fish pond. This place has it all! From the food, to the hostess, server and bathrooms, everything was superior to the other "upscale" restaurants that we visited. The beauty of the restaurant even attracts nearby yachts and boats. PROS - Great food presentation - Great food flavors - Best server during our visit in Barbados - Beautiful beach side views - Cleanest and fanciest bathrooms on the island CONS - The entrance to QP Bistro parking lot creeps up on if you if you're not driving slow. Nestled on the scenic west coast of Barbados, QP Bistro effortlessly merges European elegance with Caribbean charm. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere strikes a delicate balance between upscale and inviting — all soft lighting, ocean views, and the comforting hum of relaxed conversations. I opted for the steak with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables, and it was easily one of the standout meals I’ve had on the island — maybe anywhere. The steak was masterfully prepared — seared to a perfect medium-rare with a caramelized crust that gave way to a buttery, tender interior. You could taste the quality of the cut and the chef's precision in each bite. It was seasoned just enough to enhance the beef’s natural richness without overpowering it, and the house jus added a subtle depth that brought everything together. The mashed potatoes were a creamy dream — whipped smooth with a touch of garlic and possibly a hint of truffle or herb oil, lending a bit of luxury to a humble classic. They soaked up the steak juices beautifully without becoming mushy or bland. The mixed vegetables were anything but an afterthought. Perfectly cooked with a slight snap, they added color and freshness to the plate. Think tender carrots, sweet bell peppers, and bright green beans — sautéed lightly in what tasted like a garlic-butter glaze, retaining their natural flavor and integrity. Service was attentive but never intrusive. The staff had a warm professionalism — quick to recommend a wine pairing or make sure everything was to my satisfaction without hovering. Final Verdict: If you find yourself in Barbados and crave a meal that feels like an occasion without being stuffy, QP Bistro delivers. The flavors were thoughtful, the ingredients fresh, and the execution spot-on. My steak dinner alone was worth the visit — rich, satisfying, and elevated without trying too hard. Highly recommend for food lovers looking for a refined but comfortable dining experience on the island.

Sea Shed Restaurant is a trendy and popular spot located on Mullins Bay Beach in Barbados. It offers a feel-good atmosphere with delicious signature drinks, tropical decor, and live DJ sets. While it has a full menu for fine dining, its cocktails and sunset drinks are the big draw here. The restaurant overlooks the water, providing a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the beach vibe.
Amazing location with amazing food. Eaten here for the second time. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Didn’t have starters this time as I made the mistake of having the ribs, and a starter too were way too much. Lobster tail was well presented and very tasty. The wok noodles were also well presented and very tasty. Puddings were of a high standard. We will be back.

Place looks like taken from a movie or a wedding. In front of the sea. Gorgeous decor and ambiance. They had a DJ with great music. The tuna tartare is the best we've ever had. We devoured it! The poke bowl also the best one likely ever. The coconut mahi mahi and the barracuda were also fantastic. Would love to go back.

Beautiful spot on a gorgeous stretch of beach! The food and drinks were great, and we really enjoyed being able to rent beach chairs and spend the day there. Unfortunately, we did run into some heavy rain during our visit, which put a bit of a damper on things. When the storm rolled in unexpectedly, the staff didn’t seem to move with much urgency and it would be great if Sea Shed had a clearer rain plan in place to help guests feel more comfortable when the weather turns. That said, the setting is absolutely stunning and has so much potential. We would definitely return to give it another try.

The Sea Shed was within walking distance of our villa and we cannot imagine coming to Barbados again and not going there multiple times! The staff are so friendly and the service excellent. We chose to sit on the sofas that are located on the beach to allow our kids to play in the sand and ocean. The setting is absolutely spectacular and the food was amazing. We tried a number of cocktails and dishes (fruit bread and plantain nachos, fish cakes, hamburger) but the absolute standout was the spicy fish cutter. In a month of being in Barbados I think I had 5 of them! Truly a wonderful must visit spot on the island.

What a great location on Mullins Bay. Spent the day on their sun loungers then sunset dinner in the restaurant. Great service on the beach thanks to Dimitri, a super nice guy. He looked after us well. The place has a great vibe and tasty food

My mother and I spent a wonderful week in Barbados, and Sea Shed quickly became one of our favourite spots. The cocktails and wine selection were excellent, and the food was absolutely delightful. A big thank you to all the staff who looked after us so well, and a special thank you to Stefano and Lucas, who truly made us feel special and valued!

The vibes/ atmosphere were really nice. We went there last night and got the chance to see the fire show they have every Sunday. The food was a let down sad to say. I was expecting it to be more. We ordered the tuna tarter which was the only one we liked. The other dishes we ordered were the 10oz lobster tail and it was undercooked, with no seasoning or flavour. Then we ordered the grilled market fish, this was better than the lobster but same very bland. I ordered a blueberry sour and that was so so good. I had two.

Mimosas Trattoria and Bar is a charming beachfront restaurant and bar nestled in the picturesque Saint Lawrence Gap. This Italian-style eatery is celebrated for its top-notch service, reasonable prices, and delectable cuisine. The menu features an array of pasta dishes as well as 11-inch thin-crust pizzas, including a gluten-free option. Moreover, Mimosas boasts a full outdoor playground with swings and play areas for children, making it an ideal spot for families.
We were really impressed by this restaurant in the Gap! The colours, atmosphere and the vibe was just amazing! They even have a play section for little kids in the dinning section. So if you have little kids, they can play while you wait for your food…or…if the kids are done eating, let them go play while you finish your meal and have a drink. It’s a brilliant idea! The food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meal very much! The drinks were delicious. The service was excellent and very friendly. The food was even more affordable than other places we had visited.

This is a really nice restaurant with the most beautiful view of the ocean in Barbados. Prices were reasonable and the portions were right on. Food was fresh and delicious. Hubby has the lasagna and it was so good, he wouldn't even share. I had the Flying Fish sandwich....it was fantastic.

This place is amazing. First, they are very responsive and accommodating. The ambience, the food, the service was excellent. Scored 4 for service only because we had to remind about one item that we ordered. But. Shanice, it was a pleasure having you as our hostess. Great employee.

Watered down rum punches were replaced with slightly better whiskey sours after we spoke to the manager. We had calamari which were standard. The coconut shrimp were not coconutty but big and rather tasty prawns. Kingfish was tasty. However this is mostly tourist fare. Can be given a miss.

Editing my 1st review as we came twice in our trip 2nd time for lunch The coconut prawns and lasagna were delicious and big portions. While eating we saw many majestic turtles passing by the beach. 1st time for dinner The place is beautiful, looks like a small village. The service was great and staff friendly. The pizza was not good but might be how pizzas are here, the Caesar salad was very fresh.

Had a guest who was dying for pizza and our go to spot was closed on a Monday so we wandered down the gap and went to Mimosa’s since a hotel guest reccomended. We were told the breakfast is fabulous and will definitely be trying that out.

Nestled along Hastings Main Road, Salt Café is a charming little spot that promises to be a haven for food lovers. This delightful café, founded by Simon and Lauren Tempro, offers an eclectic menu that beautifully marries international influences with local flavors. Diners can indulge in mouthwatering dishes like the much-loved Truffle Fries and Asian Baos, alongside the refreshing Tuna Poke Bowl.
Every dish served was delicious truly enjoyed the drinks and the platters. Snapper was cooked to perfection and service was prompt. The waitstaff had a great sense of humour and were pleasure to be around. I'll be back.

Glad we got to eat at this cozy place with very well flavored food. Turns out, they do not usually entertain walk ins, but we lucked out due to a cancellation. Ordered the local pumpkin sweet potato soup with a touch of coconut and really enjoyed it. For entrees got - cauliflower steak, well seasoned; fish of the day- king fish, flaky with a side of one of best jasmine coconut rice ! Chicken and fish bao buns - both very good and finally the crème bruleed coconut cheesecake - as a person who loves coconut this was delicious with excellent coconut infusion!! Overall loved this food and is highly recommended!

Nice café if you are in the south coast. Very intimate set-up and I'd recommend the indoor seating with air conditioning but outdoor seating is available as well. The Asian wings are amazing but stay away from the pork/ear dish on the menu. Ok service and drinks.

Back again for 2025 Would like to see a couple of new choices on the menu as been the same practically since it opened. Still very good. My 2024 visit all very nice apart from my New York strip was chewy Once again visited twice on my latest visit to the island, really enjoyed the New York strip steak! Back on the island and visited Salt twice already . Always a good evenings dining here! Love the wings and bao buns I first discovered Salt last year when they had only been open for 6 months and was blown away by the flavours and attention to detail which goes into to every dish. Owners Lauren and Simon make the perfect team of head chef and front of house in this cozy restaurant. On my return last night to Salt I was happy to see my favourite dishes still on the menu and couldn't resist ordering them again. Asian chicken wings to start and a main of the lamb shank which both didn't disappoint and was delicious, my partner also went for wings but we added a portion on spicy salt fish fritters which was amazing, then her main was the catch if the day (barracuda) bao's which she described as out of this world! I can also recommend the crispy chicken main and pigs ears snack. This restaurant is definitely worth trying, there's a air con inside dining area and a outside seating area. but the wings are a must from the menu. Really established restaurant now with the locals and tourists so please make sure you book to avoid disappointment............ Back again for my second visit in a week! I can now recomend the New York strip ( requested served rare ) and the chicken with mac and cheese skillet 👍

The food was exceptional — every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. We couldn’t decide on just two starters and ended up ordering three, all of which were excellent. The main courses did not disappoint either. However, the indoor space felt somewhat cramped, which resulted in overlapping conversations and a rather high noise level. If you are sensitive to noise or prefer a quieter dining experience, this may be a consideration. Additionally, the staff were gathered in view of diners during slower periods, engaging in conversation, which detracted slightly from the otherwise professional atmosphere. Overall, the food and service were outstanding, and I would gladly return — perhaps at a less busy time to better enjoy the ambiance.
Amanda N — Google review
Lovely surprise. The food was filling even my mother who’s very hard to please enjoyed the salad she ordered. I had the mango lemonade which was tasty, and my partner had the pineapple juice which he enjoyed. Overall it was a very pleasant lunch

The food was not the best tasting , the only thing I really enjoyed was the pig ears. I told the waiter that my friend has an allergy to milk and they proceed to give her ranch. Also they put dishes on the table that contained milk. So I would say that they are not allergy friendly but the drinks are to die for. It was my birthday and I was very unhappy with the food. The waiter was very nice though 🫶🏿

Great place for Indian food, especially the roti selection. There is an unusual twist to a classic, a Salt Fish roti. We had that and the lamb roti and wax really good. Located in Lanterns mall with a really nice seating area. A must try!

A I can only share my own experience.Stopped by Chutney’s at Lanterns Mall craving a roti while visiting Barbados. The staff didn’t greet us or even acknowledge us when we entered—we had to ask if we could order. Service was cold and unwelcoming. The roti itself was just okay, nothing special. Overall, poor customer service ruined the experience. Won’t be returning.

The cashier was unwelcoming. There were 3 of them staring at me as I entered. I tried to asked for recommendations on what is popular to order but I felt like I was bothering them by asking. The roti was okay too but the skin was too dry and flaky. I had to pull some of it off.

Indian Grill is a timeless classic that offers authentic Indian cuisine in Bridgetown, Barbados. Located near the Raddison hotel, it's a convenient spot for delicious Indian rotis with a variety of fillings, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The food is not too spicy and perfect for group dining. The small seating area next to the building provides a clean and pleasant environment to enjoy your meal.
The Indian Grill was recommended to us by one of our tour guides earlier in the day. He said this place had really good roti. Having never had roti before, we decided we wanted to try it. We got a chicken roti and a chicken and sweet potato roti (add pepper sauce). The flavors were excellent and it was very filling. There was a little bit of a wait right at lunch time, but it was reasonable. Definitely a great little lunch place!

Blink and you miss it! Quiet little corner of the world. My wife and I were out exploring and wandering past this joint that barely caught my attention... As we walked home I noticed a line of locals and some tables that were lined up. My wife stopped to humor me and I ended up ordering the Chicken curry for approximately $10 U.S. Walked it back to our hotel (no indoor dining). IT WAS AMAZING! No nonsense eatery, great food, great price. 5 stars.

Arrived in Barbados last night and staying at Raddison. The Indian grill is only a few minutes walk from this hotel. This is a Indian roti road side place with a variety of fillings both vegetarian and non vegetarians. The roti wrap with a lot of filling tasted really nice. Not too spicy. Just perfect for my group members. Nice seating area as well. Person taking order was very pleasant. Busy. Open from 11am to 4pm. 2 cold drinks, 2 water, 2 vegetarian rotis, vegetarian rice and vegetables, 1 chicken roti and 2 pots of dhal. All for 85BD. Not bad at all. Highly recommend this place. Will definitely return

Roti was great (as always), but the wait time for lunch is too long, especially if you have a limited time for lunch. There was no apology for the long wait time either. But like I said, the roti is one of the best in the island so the wait time definitely won’t stop me from coming back.

Small little gem with excellent tasting curry. I had chicken curry with pumpkin and roti it's a BIG wrap. My wait time was less than 10 mins if so long but I got there as soon as they were opening. The shop was nice for buying clothing too. The view was scenic! Although it was a cloudy day. We would surely come again! Great value for money aswell. You can get bottles of banks for 5 bb dollars which is good value. Definitely going again.

A nice enough space, subdued on Fridays but more interesting on Saturday, but still not crowded or jumping. Food options are good. They are a few Bajan options, but most are not. With that said I tried one of the more Bajan options, the corn was great, the breadfruit and the fried chicken were very good. The chicken was small (insert diatribe about growth hormones in poultry). I also ordered drinks, and these were disappointing, the run punch was weak and poured over ice. I also got a draft beer, which also sucked - probably just a bad choice. Decor is nice, it feels like you're in the country side. The vibe is relaxed, there is music and a DJ with a stage.

Water's Edge Beach Bar is a delightful spot situated on a private beach within the Bougainvillea Resort. It offers a tranquil setting where visitors can relax on the boardwalk while indulging in freshly prepared scones and cakes. The menu features delectable options such as coconut and tomato soup, calamari, mahi-mahi in coconut broth, Tuna Nachos, and burgers.
Great food by the beach at a very nice resort. The poke bowl with tuna was fantastic. I've had it three times already. The shrimp spring rolls are also on point. My girlfriend had the grilled chicken sandwiche and said it was tasty. The rum punch is nice and strong. They also have live performances each day which is pretty cool.

While the atmosphere is great being in the beach the service is mediocre and the food is no better. My Lentil burger had no taste; no slice of tomato and no slice of onion. Nothing. The crab cakes were just about decent. Our server couldn’t be bothered to even smile or come around to check on us. Nothing. Anyways the ambiance is casual and beach oriented which ia nice.

We had happy hour here every afternoon during our visit in February 2025. The servers were super friendly but understaffed and it was challenging to get their attention. Food was consistently satisfying. Prices were awesome during happy hour. The cleanliness of the patio furniture and table tops especially needs to improve. Music was a bit loud making conversation challenging.

Long wait for unremarkable food. I got food poisoning from the ceviche. Burgers are pretty stale, the flying fish bao has potential but is lacking. You're better off at the cutter shack just outside the Hilton.

Waters Edge Beach Bar near the pool was a great spot for lunch and drinks. We spent a few days here, and the staff was super friendly—especially with our kids. They’d greet them by name each day when we came down to the pool, which made it feel really welcoming. Lunch is cooked fresh and brought out in a timely way, but it’s worth planning ahead since it usually takes about 20 minutes to come out. We didn’t mind—it gave us time to relax and enjoy the beachside view. We got to know the bartenders and waitresses, and they really made the experience memorable. Great food, great people, and a fun vibe. It can get a little loud with the DJ in the afternoon. Nothing that put us off. But out of the 4 days we were here it was just one day. Evening entertainment was very enjoyable as well.

Savvy On The Bay is a family-friendly destination located in the Carlisle Bay area, just outside the capital. It offers a diverse selection of Caribbean and international cuisine, with a mix of food-truck park and beach bar atmosphere. Visitors can rent beach chairs and shared umbrellas for $8, then enjoy drinks at the bar or dine on various options including Bajan dishes, Jamaican jerk chicken, tacos, sandwiches, kebabs, and plant-based choices.
Located right in the beach with great views of the sea. Serving local food and drink. We opted for a seafood salad and a Greek salad. Both very good and plentiful. Washed down with a bottle of the local brew, Banks. Service was a bit slow but this is the Caribbean. Reasonably priced for this location.  5*

Picture perfect beach but facilities and service were just average. Bar area attracted a particular demographic selling their services which could be a bit intimidating and seedy. Food trucks rubbish smell with the heat was quite off putting. Good value offer for chairs and umbrella including a drink.
G C — Google review
Along Carlisle beach you have Savvy, smack in the middle. Walk to your left (towards the Hilton) all along the beach and you come to Browns beach and pebble beach where locals gather. Walk to your right and you have Copacabana, walk further down and you come to the Boatyard beach area with a water slide and swinging ropes off the pier. Great stretch of beach. Savvy have a several pop up food stalls. All have something different to offer. We really like the loaded chicken fries from one of the vendors on your left halfway along. It's a Taco place. We also enjoyed the greek wraps from the vendor on the left before the taco place. Music playing along the side. Benches to sit in the middle and around the front bar and all round can. A good atmosphere. Drinks are expensive and if you go to one of the side local beach bars you can pick them up at a much cheaper price

This place is a must-see for tourists of Barbados. They have almost everything you’d want in the same place here. We came here on our second day for food and ice cream. We love the options you can get with the food trucks and we loved the Coconut Caramel ice cream at Ally’s Shaved Ice! Savvy also has many turtle and shipwreck tours, snorkeling, jet skiing, and it is a good entry point to Carlisle Bay. We went here and noticed that the water is very calm compared to the Hilton and was easier to swim in. They also have a pickUp Barbados point for the drivers to taxi you to your next destination.

Great day spend at Savvy on the bay. We did the ultimate day package which included a boat trip, where we saw turtles, baby sharks and even a sting ray. Wasn’t too long either, just over an hour. The different selection of food trucks and live music was great. Plenty of choice of food options and they were all great that we tried. The bar gets packed because it’s such a good spot and getting served quickly is the only real issue sometimes. Overall a great day out by the beach with a great little boat trip.

A truly welcomed addition to the Barbados tourism product, Savvy is a clean and well designed beach oasis to visit on your next stop in paradise island Barbados, with loads of cuisine options to choose from in the food square, there is something to satisfy every appetite. If outdoor eating is your kind of vibe, take a seat under one of the many beach umbrella shaded picnic tables or in the cushioned elevated shaded Pavillion that is petfevtto relax in while sheltering from the hot sun and savouring one of the delicious meals.

This is a spot for a lot of tour and excursion pick ups. There are many food trucks available and you can bring your food to the beach to enjoy. Beach chairs and service also available here.

Had a great day at Savvy, we walked in with no reservation and there was no problem getting 3 sun loungers and umbrella. We did the boat trip/snorkel and saw lots of fish, turtles and a stingray, the guys on the boat were great fun and even got me to go down the slide into the water…. Something I never thought I’d do… my daughter was impressed! Loved the music whilst we were on the beach sunbathing/swimming. Great atmosphere! Highly recommend a day here!

Located in the bustling capital of Barbados, Bridgetown, Waterfront Cafe is a popular spot offering delicious Caribbean cuisine and a vibrant atmosphere. Since 1984, this artsy cafe has been a favorite among locals and tourists alike. With its waterfront views of the historic Bridgetown marina, it's an ideal place to refuel while exploring the area.
This place is a hidden treasure before you do anything make sure you order the Bajan fish cakes first and thank me later - trust me on this. Other than that this place is spacious with a relaxing vibe and a chilled out Vibe . Cocktails food and on some nights live music this place has it all highly recommended.

The food was amazing and the service was top notch. Tione, the waitress, provided fast and friendly service and provided helpful recommendations. The food came fast and the drinks tasted great. Happy hour had great prices on the drinks. The view was beautiful and relaxing. The owner also came by the table for a quick chat which was a nice touch. This is my new favorite spot in Barbados and I recommend it to anyone visiting Barbados.

Relaxed atmosphere, service was quick, and pleasant. I had flying fish on a bum, accompanied with fries and a salad. The fish was decently seasoned and prepared, the bum tasted a little stale. Good selection of drinks and food at descent pricing.

A well known and well visited cafe, with cocktails and other drinks. If you order something to eat you will get a glass of fresh water on ice besides. Prices are OK for the location directly at the harbour, but this is not the cheapest way to drink or eat.

We normally go a restaurant nearby but because their wifi was down we continued around the corner and found this wonderful restaurant. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly and happy. The interior is lovely. And I liked the grand piano as you enter. Wifi is good. Food was served hot and was gorgeous. It was so nice to be sitting there eating and having a beer while the boats were passing. Very relaxing on a hot day in Barbados. Well done

Nestled on the lively Baxters Rd, Pink Star is a beloved gem among locals, renowned for its unbeatable prices and hearty portions. Initially mistaken for something more risqué due to its name, visitors soon discover that it’s all about the food here. With dishes like liver cutters and necks that might not sound appealing at first, many have had their minds changed by the delicious flavors served up at this establishment.
This place is legit, the locals know what's good snd Pink Star delivers. Fresh, fast and flavorful. Top notch fried chicken and chips..Cant go wrong⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐‼

Have loved this place since I was a little girl 💗 people were nice to my parents & still nice to me as an adult :)
Charlene A — Google review
You don't go here for the ambience; you go here for the food. And this food is a fine example of Barbadian home cooking: tasty, generous, well-seasoned, comfort food. I have been eating their liver cutter for over the last 35 years, since I was a schoolboy. Every time I return to Barbados, it is one of the things I must eat. It brings me back home.
Renea B — Google review
I used to enjoy Pink Star many years ago, however, customer service seems to be on a constant decline over there. Admittedly adjustments made due to COVID-19 has impacted on some elements such as crowd control inside the business, but more can be done. I've found the attitude from the guy taking orders and dispatching to be below standard and the unsanitary practice of taking money and dealing with food to be unacceptable. It's the 3rd decade of the 21st century and they still don't accept credit/ debit cards. Service and prices aside, nothing quite beats a liver-cutter from Pink Star.
Master B — Google review
unfortunately the post covid-19 wait time is crazy long... I'm hoping that my last 2 visits were not the normal state... ended up going next door to Bryan's Bakery and got the rotisserie chicken which for me was a find...that plus the fact that the service was much much faster...
Anthony F — Google review
My husband took me here because we were hungry but we didn't want to blow all of our money at Mapps. At first I thought it was a stripper joint because of its name and the name of its products. But then I learnt its the name of the food. I don't eat liver and I don't eat necks but when my husband came with necks and a liver cutter. I "yam" it down! This place food was so good it changed my mind on liver and necks! It is also affordable, we spent $14.00 and filled our stomachs as oppose to $40.00 up the hill. Because of its location, wouldn't advise a visitor to go alone but accompany with a local.
Kimberlee B — Google review
The classic liver cutter was invented here ...it's the only place where you can sample this culinary delight and well worth it

Daphne's is a renowned waterfront restaurant located in Paynes Bay, Barbados, offering stunning ocean views and a sophisticated atmosphere. As the sister restaurant to its famous London counterpart, it provides a classy Italian dining experience with an emphasis on using fresh local seafood to create exquisite dishes. The menu features award-winning chef Kirk Ruck's signature creations such as linguine with lobster and sea bass with eggplant caponatina.
My wife and I dined here on Saturday November 16th after dining at two other very popular restaurants in the area. The food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was great, very close to the water and relaxing sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. My pictures don’t do this place justice as they didn’t turn out too well. Came to try for lunch....the food took one hour to make, which is laughable as we were the only ones there. Trust I understand island time but this was something way beyond that. Staff were inattentive, coming round to place our order 20 minutes after giving us our menus. I really did try to understand how this place got positive reviews, maybe it operates differently at night???? The food was mediocre at best, the only good thing was the fish croquettes. The mushroom ravioli was barely filled and the fish was so dry. To top it off they got one of our orders wrong! Truly terrible service and food, most definitely won't be coming back here again, especially considering the price. Their only saving grace might be the view as they are located right on the beach.....

Located on the opposite side of the road from Paynes Bay, Scarlet stands out with its vibrant red exterior. Despite its unassuming appearance, this restaurant offers a great atmosphere and fresh mojitos made with ingredients from their garden. Guests can also enjoy a variety of food options along with excellent cocktails. Visitors have been pleasantly surprised by the cozy ambiance and attentive service at Scarlet, where even small details like ensuring equal portions for shared starters have left a positive impression.
This restaurant went above my expectations. When I first entered I was expecting something bigger but the area ended up being perfect. The decor was lovely and the service great. The starters to share were 5 a piece, our table was 6 persons, when the starters came they were all in 6. I found that impressive that they made sure they were even. I had chicken pasta for my main dish and I ran out of pasta and still had chicken. That was incredible. Overall the experience was great and I would go again.
Jilian H — Google review
Mixed views on scarlet, nice interior decor but the food was really slow to arrive and when it did the starter was very bland and the main was over cooked and not very refined. The rum punch had too much lime in it and was incredibly sour. Other people's dishes looked more appealing so maybe it was just a bad one off experience for me.
Edwin M — Google review

My last experience at Scarlet was nothing short of stellar. I was a last minute walk in, with no reservation and with about five minutes left before the kitchen closed with my fingers crossed and thinking I would probably be turned away. Naturally, because of the time. To my surprise, I was greeted warmly, given a seat at a freshly cleaned table and served an amazing dinner. I was able to order dinner, a cocktail while I waited and enjoyed my meal without feeling rushed at all. My every need was handled with a genuine smile from every staff member. Special thanks to the staff at Scarlet and the owners Stephan and Sophie Domenge for giving me a truly fantastic dining experience.

Although only indoor seating is available (air conditioned, of course), this West coast restaurant is a gem! Reasonably priced, great food, and friendly and attentiveness staff. The walls are all red or mirrored, with alternating large photos of Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Be sure to consider the nightly specials, although if they don't tickle your fancy their mains are always constantly good. My favourite is their Pesto Chicken Pasta, with Calamari to start.

Nestled on the outskirts of Bridgetown, Copacabana Beach Club is a vibrant destination that promises an unforgettable experience for those who love fun and music. This lively beach bar and nightclub boasts a fantastic atmosphere with amenities like beach chairs, bars, and shower facilities. Guests can indulge in delicious food from a celebrated local chef while enjoying outdoor dining right by the calm waters of Carlisle Bay. The club is perfect for families and offers excellent snorkeling opportunities nearby.
Beautiful Beach Club with great staff – but tour operator (the Crane Resort) let us down We had a lovely day at Copacabana Beach Club and would definitely recommend it to others visiting Barbados. The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the iced coffee was perfect for cooling down on a sunny beach day. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The air-conditioned restrooms and changing rooms were a pleasant surprise, even offering sunscreen for guests who may have forgotten theirs – a thoughtful touch! The beach itself is stunning, with soft white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water – exactly what you dream of when coming to the Caribbean. Unfortunately, our visit was part of a group tour from The Crane Hotel, and the return trip didn’t go as planned. The organizer told us to meet front of the Club at 3 PM. We were there a 3 minutes before, but the bus had already left – without 4 of us. When we asked the Crane Hotel staff for help contacting the driver or hotel, they refused and told us to take a taxi back at our own expense (about $50 USD). They took no responsibility, which was very disappointing. We wasted an hour of our time trying to organize the return. Luckily, the Copacabana team stepped in and helped us out. Although the receptionist initially threw up her hands, saying there was nothing more she could do, once we insisted it wasn’t our fault and that we expected a better solution, the manager came over – and she was the one who actually helped. She organized a ride back to our hotel, and we’re especially grateful to Rico, who kindly drove us himself. Huge thanks to him and the other manager for their professionalism and support! A couple of things to keep in mind: the food prices are on the higher side – for example, we paid $36 for just four small shrimps. Also, although it’s a private section of the beach, there were a few vendors approaching guests with offers for tours or jewelry. It didn’t ruin the experience, but could be annoying for some people expecting total privacy. Overall, it was a nice experience at Copacabana Beach Club. Just make sure to double-check your transport if you’re coming as part of a group tour!

We had to go try this place to see if it was worth it the attention was given. So for 30$ you get an umbrella and a place to sit. In this is a $25 food voucher. The first row by the front beach was open but we were placed in the end, when l asked we were told it was occupied even tho no one was there. By 3.30pm they start picking up chairs and umbrellas basically kicking us out. Still the front row was still empty. Food not much choice and very greasy 😞. Fries soaked in oil. See picture. Drink mixed nicely. This place is more for the quick sit down for people that arrive from cruisers that don't need much. A few blocks away was another place with a similar offer but much better organized.
Valencja V — Google review
My 'premium' experience was a complete disaster from start to finish. It began with bad customer service at reception, setting a poor tone for the day. Despite paying for premium, I then endured an unacceptable wait of over an hour while other customers, who appeared to be white, were consistently prioritized. The issues continued on the beach: I had to argue with the beach attendant just to get my chairs set up. To make matters worse, he then proceeded to assist other white individuals before completing my setup. This pattern of service, where I felt overlooked and deprioritized based on race, is deeply concerning and frankly, not cool. To top it all off, there was no coffee available at 10:30 AM, and still none by 11:30 AM, forcing me to leave the premises just to get a basic drink. This entire experience fell far short of premium and was incredibly disappointing

A Perfect Beach Day at Copacabana – Barbados Bliss! We had an amazing time at Copacabana Beach Club in Barbados! The beach was absolutely stunning — crystal-clear waters, soft sand, and vibrant blue skies on a beautiful sunny day. We even spotted turtles swimming nearby, which was such a magical touch. We paid $60 BBD for the premium beachfront oasis, which included comfy lounge chairs, umbrellas, showers, bathrooms, and towels — totally worth it! Food wasn’t included, but they offer food voucher packages, and we loved sampling the delicious local dishes from nearby food trucks. The refreshing coconuts were a highlight — sweet, ice-cold, and perfect for the heat. The vibes were amazing, and we even made a few new friends while hanging with the friendly locals. Truly an unforgettable beach day!

Great beach. Friendly wait staff. Reasonable prices on chairs umbrellas and drinks and food. Easy to walk. Only downfall is all the people asking about snorkeling and jet skies.

Drinks are fairly priced and the beach is the best on the island in my opinion. The people selling boat tours and jet ski rides can be annoying but you will likely find that at most popular beaches in Barbados.

This is such a lovely place. I stayed here all day working on my dissertation and it's definitely popular with tourist and families as a lot of different groups came through and one big group was actually there before I came and wasn't gone when I left! The food was really good - I got the buljol, which was super delicious, and a small pizza which was also pretty good. The tomato sauce tasted a bit sweet for me but it's definitely one of the best pizzas I've had here so far (altho most pizza places have been bad so take that as you will.) Prices for food and drinks were very reasonable and the staff were so lovely and attentive. Particularly a waitress with short hair and a bartender who I think had a dreaded ponytail. I didn't catch either of their names but they were both so so nice and friendly. 100% recommend this place. Will definitely be back if I can!

Do not recommend. Waited 30 minutes to order and then another hour for the food to come out. Food was awful. We had a fish sandwich and a pizza. On a tiny island such as Barbados amazing food can be found anywhere. However my visit to the Carriage House at the Crane Barbados was beyond just great food it was an amazing experience. The service was truly the highlight and nothing short of exemplary! Between supervisor Robyn and our server Talisha, we could not have asked for better service. My mom who worked at luxury properties and restaurants were also delightfully surprised by her beer battered Mahi Mahi and the Guava Barbecue Chicken was rated the best ever. Add the best rum punch on island , breezy clean surroundings to all I described and there’s your 5 star experience without breaking the bank! Thanks Carriage House and well done to Robyn and Talisha on your 1st class service.

I had ordered the chicken wings and was sauce was very good. The pizza was OK. Service was really good. Waitresses were all very friendly and attentive. We did go back for a second lunch. The next day and food was good as well. Nothing to be wild with overall just good service good food and very convenient if you’re staying at the hotel.

I went to the Aquatic Club recently with my mum, as an appreciation breakfast to her. The breakfast boast a variety of dishes to choose from. There was: scrambled eggs, bacon, fish cakes, bakes, stew potato, sausages, salt fish, pancakes and a couple other things that don't come to memory. Along with that, there was an omelet station, cakes and breads to the side. Tea (and water) is complimentary, however, juices are paid for separately. If you're having a birthday do let them know as they do offer a complimentary cupcake and sing happy birthday in one of the most unique and cheerful ways I have heard (this was at another table nearby). The atmosphere is nice, open and breezy.

Food is nice, some dishes tastier than others but overall it was satisfying. They have 2 different menus; one running every other day so you can have different choices. Prices are not cheap, as expected on the island.

The service this evening terrible so so slow. 1st time visit to Barbados not a good start. 70mins for burger & soup to arrive 40min for 2 beers. That said soup was nice burger ok.

Food was much better than some of the higher end restaurants in Barbados. Would definitely recommend.

I came to this restaurant on 2 occasions. The first time, the food here was mediocre, but on the second occasion the food was absolutely terrible. Not only was the wait incredibly long, the food was not edible. It took over an hour to get our entrees. That is highly unacceptable. When i asked about it, the waittress just responded that our dishes were on their way (it took another 20min for the dishes to actually come). When they came, 2/3 dishes were incredibly sweet. You would think i ordered a dessert! It was a terrible experience and i will not be coming back again. Also the poor man sitting across our table has been waiting for his meal for over 1h30 that he began falling asleep BAD FOOD AND BAD SERVICE. this is not how a restaurant in a 4star hotel should run.

The Asian eatery, Golden China Restaurant, offers a delightful dining experience on Friday nights. The establishment is not overly crowded, ensuring that finding a table is hassle-free. The waitress exudes warmth and friendliness, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The menu boasts delectable options such as the chicken cashew, vegetable fried rice, and beef with broccoli. These dishes exemplify the high quality one would expect from a Chinese restaurant with Western influences.
We read the reviews which were pretty mixed. We were made welcome. Party of four had a meal for four, it was hot and tasty and a great variety and plenty of chicken, beef and prawns. We thought it was great value and really enjoyed our meal. We would recommend it based on our experience. Do try it.

I can’t give 0/5 or I would!! I went over at lunchtime to ask what time the food orders end. He said 9:30pm.& it closes at 10:00pm (still open as I type this) I arrived at 9:25pm to place an order. A young guy said the kitchen shut at 9:00pm when they close at 10:00pm. I mentioned to him about my lunch time conversation but he was rude, arrogant & did not care. I will never support this restaurant and as a full time traveller, will tell people to never go there. It will be on my travel page…

This place continues to be my number one Chinese restaurant! The portions are large, the food is affordable, friendly staff and I just like that it's open, you have the natural sunlight and a great location at the Quay Side complex

Believe it or not this was the best meal we had in Barbados on this side of town. From the fish fry to the other restaurants this place was very good and topped them all . I had the chicken fried rice and it was nice and filling and a nice portion for the price. I’d suggest you add some pepper sauce and enjoy.. it was great I’d highly recommend this place

Lovely meal here on a Friday night. Not super busy so got a table easily. Waitress was friendly and smiley- very welcoming. Had the chicken cashew, veg fried rice and beef & broccoli. All super tasty, just what I’d expect from a western style Chinese restaurant. Portions are big, shared this between 2 and couldn’t quite finish it. For 2 mains, rice, Coke Zero and a deputy beer it came to 106.50 BBD, this includes 10% service charge. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing some comfort food/ taste of home. Note that the menu prices are in BBD and they don’t take cards. There’s an atm in the quayside plaza a few steps away.

Reasonably quick service. We ate in. Expensive for basic food. They add a 10% service charge which I struggle to understand. I've given 3 stars because the food was about 50% onion. Massive chunks, not even chopped.
Ian W — Google review
Can’t rate the food as can’t get to eat there! Get the impression they don’t want your business - unfriendly, lacking in any hospitality skill. First night - table of eight eating - we get told too busy, not taking anyone else. Second night - table of two eating - again told too busy, it’ll be an hour. I ask can I book then? (Whether for tonight or future night)? The hour wait then changed to - we’re not taking any more orders tonight - I was asking to book? Very bizarre and very rude. Won’t be back, won’t recommend

If you're seeking a thrilling day out in Barbados, look no further than Rascals of Barbados, an exhilarating waterpark located in Bridgetown. As the Caribbean's largest floating aqua park, it promises endless fun with its impressive array of slides and obstacles that challenge visitors to bounce their way through. Over the past five years, this attraction has expanded significantly and now ranks among the largest aqua parks globally.
We were very lucky to come across Rascals as we had our 4 young kids on the beach. Amazingly supportive with them on the water park, inviting to all of us in the restaurant and nothing was a hassle. Food was ideal too, calamari 👌 This is what Barbados is about, welcoming and supportive. Kids loved the free Jubilee! Thanks to the team for helping create memories.

One of my favorite beaches in Barbados. 🇧🇧 The water is calm and perfect for relaxing and swimming. I’ll recommend having a car to drive there. The food and drink options are affordable and sets the vibe. I can’t wait to go back! :)

I’ve been being an owner on Barbados of a house and coming here for 30 years and being a regular at Rascals Beach bar Of at least two or three times a week. Where usually we have a good laugh and great banter with depending visitors and staff particularly the beach amazing. However, I find myself very distressed by a member of your staff whom decided after I had had my flag up on my beach for over 40 minutes to serve the people behind me and to the left of me. No problem this is Barbados. However, Within encountered an experience, which is and was not about making. The sunbed guy who we call Beachmaster was a witness to an horrific experience And so many other on the bench Trevin (If I spelt that incorrectly, I apologise). Whom after four attempts, I asked him, had changed his glasses, Which was a joke. He went absolutely mad through down the food menu Said he wasn’t going to serve us at all. He then stated he was getting the bill to my partner. Even though we paid for some beds all day and came back with the bill He then went and said, are you not going to pay? my partner said I will pay it at the desk In the bar. He’s too busy after telling us a few weeks ago that he got a young child to remember in chasing my young ladies, tips which he has stated to us previously, he does not get and neither do the other staff. I have to say our experience today is not necessarily what we usually experience having going there two or three times a week But for the moment we will be leaving Rascals well alone and this man needs to be watched and investigated When we went up to the bar, he rushed up to my partner to make sure that we didn’t say anything. So for wants I’m standing up for myself and I’m putting in writing Also, I realised that you have a lot of cruises visit your beach, which was who we were serving, although I have no objection to this and I don’t mind I do find that it’s absolutely disgusting behaviour. Shame on him. My partner is diabetic and we had to leave the beach for food

Asian restaurant
During my recent culinary adventure, I stumbled upon the Guang Dong Chinese Restaurant, a hidden gem that left me with mixed feelings. While the food was decent and certainly palatable, it didn't quite have that wow factor I was hoping for. One notable aspect is that their meat dishes—be it chicken, beef, or pork—are served without any sides like rice or noodles, which felt a bit lacking for the price point. However, the service was satisfactory and the ambiance of the restaurant was clean.
We were staying in st Lawrence gap and fancied a Chinese and came across this one about a 5 minute walk from our hotel. We were a bit dubious at first given the reviews but decided to go ahead anyway. We weren't disappointed. The staff were friendly and polite, the food was served quickly and was hot with lots of flavour and the price was very reasonable in comparison to other restraunts we ate in during our stay
Kevin F — Google review
Tried this Chinese spot recently, and overall, it was just okay. The food tasted fine, nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. One thing to note is that the meat dishes (like chicken, beef or pork) do not come with anything on the side like rice, fried plantains or noodles. Portions were decent, but for the cost, I expected a more complete meal or at least a side included. Service was fine and the place was clean.
Taha M — Google review
I'm currently 7 months pregnant and was craving some Chinese food pretty late in the night so hubby and I figured to give this place a go. I ordered a large chicken chowmein and figured 'there's no way they can mess up something so simple - right?' Wrong! The food came out piping hot at a ridiculously fast speed and smelt old and burnt. Got home and opened up my box to the most unappetizing, dry and smelly excuse for Chinese food I've ever seen. Not even my dog would eat it. What a waste 🫩. Made myself an egg sandwich instead.

Picked up late lunch here for take out. Waited less that 15 minutes for order. Spot was recommended by hotel. Food was good. Great portions and good value for money.
Laurie L — Google review
I don’t usually write reviews, but this meal deserves to be mentioned. I paid over USD 100 for dinner, and honestly, it felt like a crime to be served food this bad. From start to finish, nothing reflected proper Chinese or Cantonese cooking. The spicy tofu was so sweet it was impossible to eat — no spice, no balance, just a syrupy sauce with no soul. The Guang noodles were bland and poorly made, and the oyster beef had a sauce that tasted absolutely nothing like oyster sauce. It was just thick, salty, and confused. Even the soy sauce used throughout the dishes was of terrible quality — it had that cheap, artificial taste that ruins everything it touches. Honestly, the chef should take a walk downtown to Nature Food and buy a proper bottle of soy sauce. It would be a small step, but a big start toward cooking with some authenticity. What makes this more frustrating is that Asian cuisine — especially Chinese and Cantonese food — is built on harmony and balance. The five key flavors (sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and umami) should come together like notes in music, creating depth and complexity. Here, there was none of that — just sweetness and flatness everywhere. It’s clear that the chef doesn’t understand the basic principles of Chinese cooking or flavor structure. There’s no technique, no respect for balance, and no authenticity in the dishes. I stopped describing the rest of the food because, truthfully, it didn’t get any better. If this is how the chef cooks for himself, I honestly feel sorry — because this is not Chinese food. Please, don’t waste your money. There are restaurants that understand flavor and culture; this, unfortunately, isn’t one of them.

Positives-car park, nice seating area, large portions, quick friendly service. Not busy for sit in but busy for takeout Food taste average shrimp curry full of carrots although enough shrimps in it. Curry was over spiced but chilly level ok. Mix vegetables curry was same. Fried rice good, garlic vegetables with tofu good, chowmein ok. All reasonable priced. Will go again but avoid curry dishes

Shanti’s Rum and Roti is a charming spot located on the first floor with seating inside and a small balcony overlooking the market street. The friendly owner and cook offer a variety of rotis including chicken, beef, lamb, and saltfish with potatoes. Visitors rave about the huge-sized rotis that are enough for two to share, as well as the delicious carrot and mango fruit juice. The lamb curry is particularly popular for its flavorful taste.
What a fantastic spot to sit and watch Bridgetown move below you. Plus export Guinness and delicious food. Big portions too. The stairs up can be a little hard to find so just ask someone and they'll be happy to point you in the right direction.

Delicious soy meat roti on the menu - the sauce on the meat had a rich flavour and the bread was thick and fluffy on the inside which was great for mopping up all the extra sauce. It was quiet around 11, when I arrived but was very busy when I left before 12. The proximity to the centre of Bridgetown and the great flavours mean this place is popular with tourists

Food and service were both great! My friend got the beef roti and they made me a potato curry roti since I don’t eat meat, so it was very nice of them to make this accommodation. Can imagine this is what main streets used to be like until they were franchised, corporatized and dehumanized. This is L I V I N as a human being. Wow so great to see this still alive and well!!! Coffy’s Bayside Bar and Restaurant is a fantastic local spot that offers a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. The staff are friendly and provide detailed descriptions of the dishes, which are generous in portion size and full of flavor. The restaurant serves a variety of local cuisine along with Carib beer, making it a favorite among visitors. The owner's use of herbs and spices instead of salt adds to the appeal, as does the availability on days when other establishments are closed.
Amazing food! 2 spots I tried to hit were closed by 5PM. Coffys was hosting a memorial service but still welcomed me in. I had curry chicken with rice but the rice had goat in it or something. I was looking for local food and found it here!

What a fantastic local restaurant! Being new to the area it was a little intimidating entering, not knowing what the food would be or the set up, but the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They proactively offered up descriptions of everything from the ten dishes and weren’t stingy with the servings! The food itself was hot, full of flavour and a great insight into local cuisine. The decor and interior might be basic, but that’s in keeping with the local vibe, and there’s a choice of seating by the bar area or a separate area complete with TV screen. If you’re in the area then I’d highly recommend coming here; it was only because of a short stay that I didn’t return again myself!
