Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in San Pedro de Atacama

The restaurant was very charming, with a cozy fire pit and live music that created a great atmosphere. The food was good and nicely presented, though I’ve had more authentic Chilean dishes elsewhere. It’s worth noting that the portions are more “European-style”, smaller than in typical Chilean restaurants. But for me, it was enough and tasty overall. And the desserts were absolutely incredible! 🔥

Saw this place recommended online so I took my mom there for a fancier dinner after one of our tours. The scene was interesting - speakers all along the side of the wall which were mildly annoying when we wanted to speak to each other… but our waiter and all of the waitstaff were very attentive and polite, making sure to check in on us at all stages of our meals. My mom ordered the mint lemonade (loved it - very refreshing) and then we shared the Ensalada Fresca which we were skeptical about with the price but it was HUGE and so lovely. Then, I ordered the Pil Pil shrimp which were cooked to perfection and served in a boiling hot butter sauce (yum). My mom ordered the Lomo Roquefort which kinda fell flat - we liked the idea of the salty sweet combination with the fig and the cheese but it just was not executed correctly. Also, my mom ordered her filet medium and it was probably the most rare steak I have seen. The quinoa was oddly sweet as well which we were not expecting. I could see the vision, but the end result was not what either of us wanted.

We had a brilliant dinner here at Adobe and our server Erick was extremely sweet and helpful in recommending which wine and mains we should get! Seaweed ceviche was nice while the prawn pilpil is a MUST GET. We slurped every last drop. Fish and beef were also lovely. Live music and a warm bonfire were the cherry on top of the cake.

We absolutely loved our time and meal here. It was such a welcoming place, amazing menu and the best recommendations! We shared two plates so we could sample both and they were equally delicious! Add to your list when visiting San Pedro!!!

We loved the food here, as well as the atmosphere! It’s a bit overpriced and adapted to tourists, but the food was really amazing!

The dishes were excellent but the waiter (Christopher, remember his name) was on another level of kindness and attention to the customer. The Pil Pil sauce was very tasty and remember to add a bit of spice 🌶️. Also the desserts exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.

Cool concept but as someone who's sampled most of the unique flavors, it's mostly overrated. I cant say if $3usd (4.90 for 2) is high for the region but is otherwise high for South America! I was verbally requested to tip during payment on my first visit by a chico. Very bold! There was a nasty chica who kept saying 2 SAMPLES ONLY after her colleage already gave me several. If it's a rule, post it! You have extremely unique flavors in a tourist town at a high cost per scoop. IF YOU WANT SALES YOU MUST ALLOW MANY SAMPLES. That's life. Second visit she wasnt there and was fine but I noticed a giant tip jar for "an iphone" or whatever. Very tasteless. That said, of all the flavors I had I only liked two: catcus is good and selva negra (black forest cake) is addictive!

They have vegan options -you must ask because there are no signs. You are allowed two samples per person. We had the flor del desierto (not much taste but still also very tasty), pisco sour, orange carrot (so delicious!). Kind, helpful staff. Can get ice cream in cone (not vegan) or cup, healthy portions

The ice cream tastes exceptional and most important: it is made with natural ingredients. Each flavor comes through and is just the right amount of sweet. We were very surprised and didn’t expect much since I don’t think that Chileans are known for their ice cream skills. But since I taste ice cream and gelato all over the world I needed to give this place a fair try. The coconut, mint and passion fruit ice cream are the best I have ever tasted. And I’ve been to Italy many times! Hazelnut was still good and natural tasting, but did not compare to gelato places in Florence - still decent though. It is definitely on the pricey side but depending on your budget worth trying :) And the service could’ve been more friendly and welcoming, had the feeling they were a bit uninterested/bored

We went here three times during our stay in Atacama. Every time I ordered a local flavor and was deeply impressed by the quality, taste and variety. The best ice cream in town. I recommend the Rica Rica Caramel!

Huge portion sizes! Good prices and friendly staff member. Highly recommend pistachio, white chocolate and raspberry, and lemon pie.

They could have more space to seat, or at least put sobre bar tables outside to improve the atmosfere, how ever this is true gelato made with local fruits. Hands dow the Fritos rojos is my favorita but others are good as well

The flavours i ordered was azul celio and frambuesca . It was a good and flavourful combination. They did not let to taste more then 3 flavours which was a little sad. Apart from this everything was good. The waffer cone was also tasty. My friend ordered chocolate and caramel

We ordered our meat medium and it came well done. No sauces/condiments came with the meat and when we asked for some they said yes but none arrived. Don’t like to leave bad reviews but don’t feel 4.5 is reflective of experience. It also wasn’t cheap and didn’t open on time.

Ordered their Quesadillas mixtas, their salsa, and the menu of the day are good. Good quality food! Price is very reasonable and not marked up. Go here to be pleasantly surprised :) Thank you!

Had a great simple lunch here. Went with the set menu del día which came with a light seafood soup as a starter, pollo a la naranja, which was delicious and a fruit salad for dessert. All of it was flavorful and fresh. The servers were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, perfect for a nice afternoon lunch.

The prix fixe menu is a great deal at 7,000 pesos. The food was well prepared and tasty. The vegetable soup, fish, potatoes and salad were all good and healthy, too.

The best value for money in San Pedro for dinner out with a quality atmospheres. The Parilla was outstanding and the amount of food for 2 people meant we left with extras. Excellent price for good food and large portions. For our first visit, we had chicken with 2 sides for 7000 CLP and the sol inti sandwich for 5300 CLP (pictures). The service was a bit slow, because it was quite busy at 20h30 at night. Still, we left full and satisfied. We came back twice after that, once trying the menu del dia which was also well-served and tasty for only 7000 CLP. We also took sandwich for take out (they only do sandwich and salad for take out), and the ham and cheese sandwich was not good. I would recommend for good portions of tasty food at fair prices.

Food was okay, but quite expensive, every main dish around 20€. French Fries were not really fried and the tomato Salat cant be called a salat. There are better and cheaper places in Atacama.

This is another one of the well-known restaurants in town that serves several traditional dishes. The portions are large and can easily be shared, which is a plus. However, the food lacked flavor and overall quality, falling short of what you’d expect for the price.

Great first-day dinner experience! On our first day, we visited this restaurant and ordered steak and soup – we paid 65,000 pesos in total. Honestly, the steak was huge, and the portion size overall was absolutely massive. The food was very good – the steak was a bit overdone, but still tasty and definitely worth the price. We also ordered soup, and that too came in an enormous portion. We were completely full – we couldn’t even fit in dessert afterward! We were really happy with the meal. The portions were big, the food was tasty, and the service was lovely – the waitress was very kind and attentive. All in all, a great spot for lunch or dinner if you’re looking for good food and generous portions.

The cazuela was okay, the pollo al pil pil was decent. It felt quite pricey for what you get. I felt they could've been more generous with their bread - we received a single, small piece of bun between the two of us.

Lil bit pricey and they were out of the cazuela (which is what I went there for) bt over all, very nice. Good people, God atmosphere, and very very nice food. Locals spot. Well found in my opinion. Would definitely go again. Infact I will go again to try the cazuela.

Working in the business for over 20 years. Let’s start from the prices: fries 7000, bottle of austral lager 5000, espresso 3000..serious? Drop the prices and sell more! As a suggestion. Cazuela 5 / lomo a la pobre 4 for the quality of the meat/ pastel de choclo 7. Service kind but not attentive. Saturday night with 5 tables seated. Overall, not worth the visit. Tomorrow will try “El Huerto” close by! Stay tuned!

The ambiance and service here were good, but unfortunately, the food was absolutely terrible. I would never come back to eat here again. I had a vegan Pil-Pil with mushrooms and a salad with salmon. Both tasted awful. My friend had a vegan burger, which she enjoyed.

Came in here when i saw it said local chilean cuisine. We ate on the terrace in the back. Pleasant live music. Ate the traditional corn dish pie with a borgoño drink. Overall great experience

Delicious pastel de choclo! We ordered take out, took about 30 minutes. So so good. Server provided utensils. Clean, spacious with indoor and outdoor seating

More on the upscale environment. The ambiance was great, the live music was Duo Mandrameda and excellent duo. The food was exceptional but the portions were small. Not the typical Chilean portions. I ordered the Fried Merluza Austral fish and she had the Entraña steak( skirt steak).

Not bad, not great historic restaurant in San pedro... food was decent but not great, service was on point and you can't beat the atmosphere of the place... drinks were average... pricey but in the center if a tourist town... wouldn't go back but don't hate it either

If the food isn’t that important but you like atmosphere and live music this is the place for you. Food wasn’t bad (hamburger quite dry and asked for medium rare steak and got one that was closer to well done, the vegetables on the side were delicious and best part of the plate), but we had better and cheaper.

The restaurant is broken into 3 parts. The first part had a fantastic jazz player . The next is a bar and the 3rd had a singer. All 3 serve food. We had salmon which we were asked if we wanted it cooked rare, medium and well done. We have never been asked that before. We asked for it to be cooked. The chips were like rubber and I asked for my egg to be cooked with no raw bits. The eggs were cooked underneath but transparent on top. The waiter had a serious attitude problem. She was definitely too cool to be working there. Well the dog we met on the way back to our hotel enjoyed it. The rest of the staff were very helpful

A perfect 10 out of 10! Highly recommended for breakfast or lunch at any time of the day. The menu is outstanding, everything is homemade and freshly prepared on the same day. I recommend visiting early for each mealtime, as all dishes are made daily in limited quantities.

A must-visit when in San Pedro! The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, like an oasis in the middle of the city. The food is delicious and freshly made. I went with a group of 6 women, and we ordered one of each sandwich to share... all of them were amazing! The bread is some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff was super kind and attentive. Highly recommended!

This is a nice treat if you are looking for authentic French bread and flaky croissants in the desert. They have only outdoor seating and I find the benches uncomfortable. It looks nicely setup but you can't lean back and it's quite hot outside. The coffee is tasty as well. It has a modern style with WiFi access and therefore the pricing is higher compared to other coffee shops.

Fresh baked baguettes, delicious coffees, fresh juices, scrumptious pastries and sandwiches. Nestled away in a jungle-esque style location . Seating outside amongst trees and wooden benched, very unique. Food comes on planks of wood and portion sizes are monstrous! It's quite popular, so you'll have a bit of a wait at peak times , but not too Ling 10-15 minutes. Servers are friendly and food is delivered promptly. I ate here atleast once a day for my time in San pedro de atacama. Prices are reasonable for San pedro Highly recommended

HOLY WOW What a cute outdoor area to enjoy your pastries, coffee, sandwiches, etc. I really enjoyed the calming atmosphere and openness of the place. The seating area has little trees interspersed between the tables that provide beautiful dappled light. There were options with full sun and shade when I went - space to choose from even though it is a popular spot and was “as busy as it gets.” My mom ordered a Moccachino which looked like a work of art and then we got the tiramisu and limón rica rica éclairs to share. WOW the flavor was spot on and the pastry was soft and light and filled to perfection. We saw the table next to us get one of their sandwiches on a fresh made baguette and that also looked phenomenal (definitely enough to share or eat by yourself if you’ve worked up an appetite!)

Very nice cafe with a beautiful garden. It's located a bit off the main walking street, but only a few minutes away. The bread and croissants are delicious. Just beware of the size of the sandwich - it's gigantic. ;-) The coffee is very good as well. The service is friendly and attentive. You can pay by credit card with no surcharge. Very much recommended place for a breakfast or brunch!

After 2 months of travelling and trying lots of delicious food, the joy of having a baguette hit home in a comforting way. They don’t lie about the size of the sandwich - they’re absolutely massive and delicious. Quiches = amazing, eclairs = to die for, pain au chocolat = a flaky wonder. We came here 4 days in a row we loved it so much. Also first time we’d found decaf coffee! A lovely space with bird sound to sit and relax too.

Incredible meal in San Pedro. The starter, main course as well as the dessert was great. The wine list is small but we had the best wine on the trip so far. The service is impeccable.

Food: The food had a great presentation and the taste had a great balance of various tastes some of which were very new to me (since they used herbs and foods native to the region). Service: The waiter was very friendly and professional (which is rare to see these days). Atmosphere: The place was small and cozy. I liked that they only served a few tables a day (only through previous reservation) allowing them to keep quality over quantity. I highly recommend this place. So much that I actually went there two days in a row.

Small restaurant with only a few tables. Three course menu was delicious and beautifully presented. We had a bottle of wine which was also delicious. Our server was full of smiles and ready to do whatever to make us happy and comfortable. It was a bit pricey and not for people looking for a quick meal. Easily a top pick in San Pedro.

Lovely place. Fixed daily menu. Local ingredients, very inspiring. Waiters are amazingly professional and friendly. Presentation is great, food is good. One suggestion: focus more on simplicity, one dish per plate, less is more.

We were a bit disappointed by this restaurant, especially given the price. We waited for one hour until we got our starters. The food was neither great nor terrible but wasn't worth the price. The wine and the pisco sours were excellent and the waiter was friendly.

The food was just mediocre at best. The salad was good but the pumpkin soup soup was very bland. The salmon was alright while the meat and sausage were pretty good. The desserts were the total disappointment. The Panna cotta came with chocolate which was totally out of place. The chocolate in the dish seems to be the low quality one. The apple pie was pretty bland and came with roasted chick pea, strawberry and chocolate drop. It seemed very eclectic. The flavor combination does not go together at all.

A cute spot that always seems busy. Their 8,000 set menu was actually surprisingly decent. Definitely not the best food, but you definitely get your band for buck. I ordered their slow cooked beef short rib and it was decent - definitely worth the 8 bucks I paid. Other dishes looked much better, like their meat platter helped on a mountain of fries and topped with a fried egg. Their drinks were really good. We ordered caprhinias and everything was blended perfectly. The staff was very busy, but when they did show up, they were friendly and attentive. This is a restaurant worth visiting if you find yourself in the area.

A real local Chilean restaurant in the heart of town! There is a reason it is the busiest restaurant in the centre. The Menu del Dia is amazing value for good local cuisine, the portions were good and the hosts wonderful! A must when visiting town!

This place is great! The best value food, it’s delicious and Pedro our waiter was the most efficient waiter I have ever seen. He wasted no time and didn’t leave us waiting for anything. Highly recommend. 8,000peso pp for entrees, mains (with sides) and a desert. All delicious!

Good local restaurant, 8k menu of the day with starter, main to chose and dessert is definitely worth the price, portions are ok and food it tasty, salmon, chicken, tuna and beef in sauce were very good, grilled meat a bit chewy. Super pisco sour, efficient service waiters are basically running! Nice atmosphere, personally we would skip the life music, but some people enjoyed it.Generally recommended

We came to the restaurant and ordered a pizza to go. We sat down while we were waiting. First some waiter tried to move us to another table and then the lady waiter asked us to wait outside so they can get more guests inside. We paid the price for the pizza like we were eating it at the restaurant. It was really rude. The weather outside was horrible and cold. The pizza was below average. The ingredients were okay but the taste was missing there.

We ordered the Hawaiian pizza and a mixed salad. Really great! Our first meal in San Pedro. Nice thin crust, huge pizzas with family sizes, fresh ingredients and quick service. Would recommend. Next time I want to try pasta!

Right on a corner on the main street Caracoles. This place had great pizza. We had the pesto/cheese familial size and it was awesome. The pizzeria is a small, chill little spot that was a perfect find …there were a few vegetarian options.

Good shout if you want a decent pizza and quick service. We had a familiar size between two which was just about right. On the spenny side of things but that’s what you get when you come to a touristy place. Don’t serve alcohol, but if you just arrived probably best to avoid the beer for a day or so while you adjust to the altitude

Popped in looking for an easy bite to eat. Firstly the staff were great, very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the pizza was terrible, so over packed with cheese it was like having a cheese fondue and we left half of it. The base was ok and if you reduced the reliance on so much cheese the other ingredients could shine through.

The pizza is quite good here. A bit too much topping and cheese for my taste. But good dough and crust. Overall a bit pricey for what it is. But a guess that's due to the touristy place. Note, a "familiar" size should normally feed two people.

Super fast service and delicious pizza and pasta. Highly recommended!!! Employees were great taking care during rush and did and excellent job. Personal pizza was good for two, but we also asked for spaghettis.

Having been to three other top rated restaurants in San Pedro now, this is my favorite so far by a long shot. For starters, it has a lovely terrace seating area. For another, it has good wine. Had the Ecuadorian shrimp curry: pretty good! Good service too!

We have tried this restaurant for twice during our stays. I think this is one of the most tasty restaurants among the tops. We ordered Risotto, Salmon and all tastes very good. I won’t say it’s cheap, but it is definitely price efficient and worth the money you spend.

Cute place. Decent meal. My steak was cooked well but the others thought their steak was undercooked. I wasn't a fan of the rice ball. I would have preferred loose rice.

Excellent food. Well seasoned with great flavor the cut of the steak could have been a bit better but everyone got a perfectly cooked steak depending on how they ordered it.

Good restaurant located in the Main Street of San Pedro de Atacama. We had dinner in the patio, it was really charming. We taste the beef canneloni and it was very good. We really had a great time there. Waiters are nice and very helpful. It seems to be a little more expensive than the other restaurants of the same street.

Some of the worst service ever experienced. Received main course before appetizer and drink. The Veggie Cannelloni was very good. Decent selection of beer and good interior. Low marks mainly for poor service.

Delicious homey food! I really enjoy the set meal with the soup as the choice of appetiser. Tried both priced sets, the cheaper one is good for those with lighter appetite and the more pricey one for heavy eaters.

This place had a lovely atmosphere and had an incredibly great small town charm, giving San Pedro de Atacama a fun place to chill. The live music was absolutely delightful. The food is pretty good, the service took a minute to get food out and to give us our bill, but nothing to knock out. Would highly recommend stopping here, especially if you are in the area!

Good vibes with the bonfire and live music. But rude staff and false advetisement ruined it for me. I ordered the menu of the day, but they didn't serve any dessert and just rudely denied that they don't have it. When I pointed to the menu being advertised outside the restaurant which gives and option of coffee or dessert, they waiter said they've removed it now. Also, while serving the food the waiter was rude and inconsiderate. He almost placed the plate on my phone, and then being indifferent he kept it on the side of the table without any acknowledgement and simply walked away.

Having a delicious ceviche as an appetizer with salmon following was one of the best lunch menu’s I’ve ever ordered :) the sizes of meals are big, very tasty and they are quickly served. The dessert was a bit strange though, the combination of peach in a semi sweat juice with oats (probably) was unusual. Staff was also very nice, despite not speaking English :)

Service was perfect and prices are good considering the high price level in this area. We had sandwiches and quesadillas and the plates were big, so we could take some for the next day. The live music playing, made the place feel super chill. I can really recommend this place when you’re in San Pedro de Atacama.

Grabbed a quick Cappuccino here while waiting for the car rental agency to open up. I was glad to see I was not served instant coffee. A very cool spot with a great vibe. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a chill spot to grab a coffee.

Had lunch here with 3 people. Was told it might take a while cause there was a big group here but after ordering 3 hotdogs they arrived very quickly. Enjoyed the normal Italian hotdog which is good value for how cheap it is and tasty with fresh avocado on top. The mushroom dog was also good for a veggie alternative

When you’re still having dinner and have to leave a review. SEBASTIAN is amazing! Friendly and converses in Spanish and English. Sat in the back patio with a nice breeze and glass of Sauv Blanc. The salmon tapa was a nice size, flavorful and savory. My salad was delish at two bites, had to take it to go!! The music, service and food create such a welcoming vibe! Thanks SEBASTIAN!! It’s nice to see someone with passion for service. 💫 I’ll be back tmrw ! Dog friendly too!

Sept.25: we just came for drinks, so I can't tell about food. But what we have seen it looked very appealing. On the walls they have been put 100dreds of different photos from celebrities from all over the world. What did we see on the menu: a dinner called Landgraaf (this name is called for a town nearby where I live)!

We went to a few places and this felt like the best brunch in town. They even have mimosas and matcha lattes (not so common here). A fair price for what they deliver!

Every single staff is wonderful! Some speak English and some does not but they will go out of their way just to make sure you're good and all of your need is taken care of. The vibe is amazing. Whoever made the playlist that's playing in the restaurant made a phenomenal job. If any of the staff is reading this, please reach out to me and send me the playlist! 12/10. Highly recommend, will come again.

This restaurant has terrific vegan/vegetarian options which are a little hard to find in San Pedro. Try the hummus and beet burger or the roast veg sandwich with pesto. Yummy salad options too, which really fresh ingredients. Service is good and the menu is in Spanish and English. We really enjoyed sitting in the back on the patio. The meal was finished with an excellent espresso to fuel us thru the afternoon.

Exceptional service by Sebastian! All staff here make you feel right at home, and are extremely attentive. Kind, warm, gentle atmosphere. They’re very patient (my spanish isn’t good), and want to make sure everything is to your liking. Excellent hidden gem in Atacama! Big recommendation for everyone to stop by!

The most delicious meal in a loooooong time! This peaceful gem is a most if you like real food with more local feeling in a gorgeous patio!! Perfect to decompress after a day of hiking. The seafood risotto was spectacular!!!!!!

Just had the most amazing steak. ever! Our waiter, Sebastian, did a great job entertaining us and was very friendly. I can really recommend Ckunna if you want great food for a fair price in San Pedro.

The place, the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the openness — everything was top-notch! During the break after lunch, while I was having some wine, the lady I was on my phone and, to help me immerse myself more, she brought me some books about the town — a thoughtful touch for cultural enrichment. An amazing place — I definitely recommend it!

The drinks are fine. The service is average or less. Worst thing is: there are street dogs walking in and out and begging for food. Simply disgusting. Stop this please if you want to be a restaurant. After the first round they come and try to force you ordering food if you want the second round. The atmosphere of the karaoke is fine, but the overall rating cannot be better.

23:30 on Saturday's night, while we were drinking beers, we were asked by kelner to order a food. If not ordered we would have to leave... Beer 6.500 / 7.500 CLP What an absurd! Not recommended.

Crap bar with crap service. After first queueing to get in, we then waited 20+ minutes to be served (as we got told there was no bar service only table service). Half of our group got drinks immediately, the other half were still waiting 20 minutes later. I politely asked the waiter where our drinks were and why people who had arrived long after us had been served before us; I rudely got told to keep waiting or to leave. We thus immediately left. This was by far the worst service, the rudest service I’d ever received in a bar in my life. I speak Spanish fluently so language wasn’t a factor / excuse. This was my first time in Chile, so I don’t know if being so rude is just normal here in Chile, but it was a very bad first impression of Chilean hospitality. Maybe they jut hate foreigners in this bad .

Outdoor patio area is perfect if you want to sit outside. Funky decor and friendly staff make the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable. The Ceviche Trio was fantastic and would highly recommend it. Cocktails are of high quality and reasonable price. They have a signature desert whose name currently escapes me, which is a layered pastry with berry sauce -- out of this world and an absolute must! The dj in the patio area was one of the best I've heard. If I ever find myself in this town again, I will certainly return!

Terrible food. Service is soooo slow. There is a fireplace in the entrance and all the smoke gets in, so while you have a drink, you get intoxicated with the smoke: terrible headache and irritated eyes. You have to remember them your order like 3 times before you get it. And after all they request a tip… Worst place in town. The karaoke also sucks

Absolutely fantastic spot – part bakery, part pastry shop, and a great place for breakfast! We had scrambled eggs and a sandwich with chips – both were fresh, flavorful, and delicious. We also ordered two different teas, which were very aromatic and enjoyable. For dessert, we tried the raspberry cheesecake and another cake (can’t remember the name) – both were outstanding. We also took some empanadas to go, and they were excellent as well. The cakes and pastries are truly amazing – highly recommend trying them! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and you can really feel the passion they put into their work. If you’re looking for a tasty breakfast or a sweet treat, this place is absolutely worth visiting.

SUCH a lovely little coffee & pastry shop. Perfect for brunch or lunch or even just a sweet treat. To-go options are also very viable. The waiters are very attentive and quick with their service. I loved the comfort of the chairs and the vibe of the place was very aesthetically pleasing with colorful decor and lovely natural lighting. My mom and I went three separate times and ordered the empanada pino (meat, caramelized onion, egg, and an olive - be careful it still has the pit in it hahaha) and the empanada rústica (goat cheese, tomato, and basil). The pastries that someone else had gotten also looked incredible so we went back another day to get their carrot cake (my favorite) and blueberry poppyseed cake (my mom’s favorite). Unfortunately, we didn’t love how overwhelmingly sweet both of the cakes were and only managed a few bites of each before we took it back to our house… I will say, though, it did taste better the next day? Finally, as a farewell, we ordered two of the empanada pinos to go and ate them on our way to the airport. In our opinion, you just can’t beat this amazing flavor, the size of the empanada (we felt fully satisfied with one each), and the price. 11/10 recommend and will be back if I find myself in San Pedro de Atacama again.

This place is excellent. The empanadas are massive. The dessert selection is great. The steak sandwiches were beautiful and the caramelised onion inside them is of the Richter scale. Service is very good and prices are reasonable. We came here 3 times. Excellent every time.

The place is small but cozy. There’s usually a line, but it moves quickly and it’s totally worth it. They have a mouthwatering display window full of desserts. I tried the lemon pie and loved it. The empanadas are baked and served piping hot. There are several flavors, and they’re so big that one was enough for me as a meal. A must-visit when you’re in San Pedro!

The price is not too expensive, but the favour is just so-so. Staff didn't have service mind to welcome and explaining the price and menu of bakery. It's better to show the price if you are too lazy to explain.

Went for lunch and the empanada were great. Portions were huge and the price is under $5, which is a good deal in the city. They also have a seating area inside if you don't want to take it to go. While desserts were not tried, they also looked great.

Never thought I’d find myself at a pub in the Atacama Desert listening to NIN, Soulfly, Korn, Black Sabbath, etc - amazing spot for fans of alt rock and metal 😌 (and they play it LOUD). We loved it here! Best spot to sink a few beers in San Pedro. They do *only* serve beer though, would be even better if they had pisco or wine. Dive bar vibes with graffiti and grubby toilets to match 🤘🏼

Around the corner from my hotel Jardin Atacama and I love it! The atmosphere outside with covered tables, the fountain, the music, the trees, the whole thing is great. The food and drink brought me back for the exact same thing. The 3 bruschetta starter was a meal and delicious! I've had 4 mocktails of the mojito original in 3 days. One I bought for around the pool. This place is great.

Cool vibes, the music dj played some cool beats there. Place has great ambiance with it's decor. Wine recommendation was on point. Food has great presentation. Recommended for a nice romantic dinner if you're with your better half or just chilling with friends.

Overrated-Overpriced Beautiful setting-I had high expectations after reading about sourcing local products (when I saw salmon on the menu…) . Welcomed(?) by a waiter who doesn’t know what a smile is. Two waitresses were much more pleasant. Starters were good, bolitas del desierto excellent. Mains were average. You are asked to pay at the counter where the lady (also a non smiler) doesn’t ask if you re happy to add the propina. I really save only the two lovely waitresses out of this experience

I went to this restaurant twice while in San Pedro. Both times we were a big group of 10 women, so the seating was a bit uncomfortable. The first time we got a very low table, which made eating a bit tricky. The second time we had a higher table, but we had to squeeze 3 people on each bench. The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting, and it really feels like a place to celebrate. Sometimes the music is a little too loud, which makes conversation harder, and the service could improve since it wasn’t always easy to get the waiters’ attention. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were great too. If you are not in a large group, definitely go for it!

We stumbled across this place whilst looking for a different lunchtime restaurant so gave it a try! Great chilled ambient music, friendly staff and a very big menu to suit all tastes. We opted for the chorrillana, both beef and veggie options washed down with a glass of wine and one of their natural juices. Everything was delicious

I like that the restaurant is tucked a block away from the busy Main Street. The ceviche is amazingly good . The quinoa sushi roll is an interesting twist from a regular sushi roll. The affogato is not to be desired though. The service is on the slower side. It takes long for the order to be served.

We are staying the the hotel and their breakfast buffet is good, so we figured we’d give the restaurant a chance for dinner. We should have gone elsewhere. I ordered the 300g beef - it was tough, the tomato had seen better days, and the caper sauce was super salty (fortunately it was in a bowl on the side). Worse though is that my wife ordered the quinoa salad, and after asking a few other questions, the waitress brought out a completely different dish - a pile of raw onions with some dry avocado slices on a leaf of lettuce. When we told the waitress that what she brought wasn’t what was ordered, she said the salad she ordered didn’t come with quinoa. Not sure how that is possible, she ordered a dish from the menu named QUINOA SALAD. She brought out the wrong thing, and instead of trying to rectify the situation she basically said “too bad” and didn’t do anything.

I may have been unlucky? But this was the most expensive menu I paid for in San Pedro, and by far not the most tasty. The entry was a ceviche and did not smell fresh, with pieces of corn that were tasteless and had a bad texture. The main course and the dessert were nice but not strikingly good. The service was slow. In addition, I had to leave a separate tip for the drink I ordered, because the menu had been paid in advance, and I was told directly the price including the propina. I do not recommend this place, you can find better ones.

We will definitely come back! Best food quality in San Pedro and super cheap for the portions you get. Staff very friendly, nice music, very quiet and free filtered/fruity water.

It's asian inspired food but the pad Thai is definitely not pad Thai. Theirs has thin wheat noodles with yellow coconut curry. There was no peanuts, no peanut sauce and no flat rice noodles in the pad Thai. It tasted ok for curry but could have used more spiciness. The tamarind chicken had tamarind sauce on the side and didn't come with rice. The sangria was ok. The seating was very uncomfortable. Concrete hard benches with no padding or pillows. Not sure who thought that was a good idea. I think 3 stars is generous for this place.

Some of the best tuna tataki I have ever had in my life, prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is nice, and the owner is incredible! If you're ever in San Pedro eat at this place, I'm sad it's closed on our last day here and we must leave tomorrow, or else I would be in there right now. 🔥🔥🔥

This place was good but we were a little disappointed that sushi was not available, and the portion size of the dish we got was so small compared with the price we paid. It’s definitely the best Asian style food in town though, and everyone at the restaurant was very friendly.

Very cosy place with friendly staff and delicious food. We've been there on Chiles women's Day with a free drink (pisco sour, fresh and good!) for my wife, her sister and me - lovely gesture! At first doubted the location due to weak references here, but were very positively surprised after all. It all made sense when we were told that the management recently had been changed - all for the better it seems :)

The menu is simple and refreshing compared to many other places that have a so many different dishes you can't possibly do it right. The service was great and just the right amount of attention. The food was tasty and we both enjoyed it, the fish perfectly cooked and salad refreshing, would suggest to drain some of the pesto oil before mixing into the pasta as it was a bit to oily for my liking and it created a pool of oil at the bottom. Would recommend a visit.

I absolutely loved the pulpuria pasta. We went twice and would've gone back for the third time if they weren't closed on Sundays. It was SO GOOD!!! It had this umami taste that I couldn't quite explain and I enjoyed the whole plate from the first bite to the last. The sours were good too. The ragu was okay and the braised meat (I forget which meat it was), was tender.

After spending a week in San Pedro, and eating in six different restaurants, this was our favorite. The freshly made pasta, sauces, and appetizers are all exceptional with an authentic Italian influence. Tasteful recorded and live music selected by the owner, who is also a musician adds to the ambience. Great vibe all around. Highly recommended.

We arrived in town earlier today and hadn’t eaten any real food since breakfast, so we were looking for a great place grab dinner. We were the only ones there for a little while, but then the late arriving crowd came in and filled the place by the time we left. Nice atmosphere, interesting (in a good way) yard and building, and friendly servers. I got the spinach ravioli while my wife got the fettuccine - we both got the meat sauce. The servings were a good size and presented well - while tasty, the sauce was quite salty. The jazz music was nice in the background and it seemed like someone was setting up to spin some real vinyl records. The lights were constantly flickering.

Not sure if I caught an off night, but the pizza was terrible— worse than a grocery store frozen pizza. The cheese tasted stale and rubbery, the dough was undercooked, while the toppings were overcooked and dried out. I couldn’t even finish it. On the positive side, the service was friendly and the music created a pleasant atmosphere.

Excellent pizzas with original recipe and good ingredients, highly recommend the terrace and bar upstairs (spiral staircase) and Atacameña flavor which is local recipe. 8 slices serves 2 people. The environment is well designed and good music plays all time.

Good pizza but when we paid using credit card the staff didn’t give us options to leave no tips. 10% tips are seemed forced on us when we tap our card. Not great because service is mediocre. We had to ask for separate plate , ice etc.

Definitely not the same as authentic Italian as some as the reviews claim.. the margarita didn’t have much flavour. However, the dough and crust was similar to Italian quality and my friends pesto, goats cheese, cherry tom and arugula was super delicious!! Nice vibe there too so definitely recommend as a good pizza option in the area

We ordered 2 pizzas for take-away. All in all, the pizzas are quite mediocre. Sidenote: Information on google maps says that you can order via WhatsApp for take-away, but that is not possible if you’re a foreigner because you have to make a national money transfer. In principle fast response via whatsapp. We then ordered the pizzas for take-away at the place itself. We had to wait way longer than the promised 20 mins for the pizzas, and they taste average.

They create magic here! I strongly recommend popping in for a pizza.

Hello reader. We ate lunch at Tara restaurant. We took the menu which consist of an appetiser and main dish. For an appetiser we took the soup of the day, baked chicken and vegetarian tortilla main dishes, accompanied with patatos and salade as side dishes. The food was nicely prepared and delicious and the portion size was big. The only downside is that you need to come early otherwise there won't be a lot of choice left and that they onlyaccept cash payment. The price for the menu is 7.5€. If you want to eat local food with the locals you need to visit this place.

Absolutely our favorite in town although it's actually on the edge of town away from the overpriced tourist trap restaurants and cheezy fake tour agencies. .The food is for the most part delicious, the vacuna soup was not so great. Huge menu, 2 and 3 course meals for 4500 and 6000 pesos. We especially enjoy the ceviche that's included with the meal, the lasagna n the stuffed squash. Gets packed at lunch n in the evenings. They close between 5 n 615-645ish. Highly recommend 👌

I’ll start with the positives: the ambiance was great. We sat outside, and the plants and decor were nice and the seating was comfortable. We ordered five mains and a starter, of which the trout starter, corn ribs, and blue fin were tasty. The broccoli was two small pieces and most of it was quinoa (would not call it a broccoli dish) and the lamb was a tiny portion. Now, for the bad. Immediately upon entering the host seemed confused as to why we were there if we weren’t guests. He gestured inside, to which we said we’d like to sit outside. He responded with, “make a decision”. The main issue is that of the members of our party has celiac disease, and can’t therefore consume gluten or have any cross-contamination. There were two items listed as gluten free that were not — the first was the crab cake, which the server at least made us aware of when we tried to order it. At the end of our meal, we tried to order desert — of the five options on the menu, apparently only one was available. It was the sorbet, which was listed as gluten free. When it came, it had an ice cream cone affixed to it. We asked the server to confirm it was gluten free, and she said it wasn’t. We had ordered two to share, and obviously couldn’t eat them so we asked her to take them off the bill. She didn’t seem happy about it, but eventually came back with the new bill. We then asked for the receipt, which never came and we had to track her down to get it ourselves. A lot of the issues were likely in large part due to the language barrier; our server spoke no English, and didn’t attempt to use a translator. We tried to speak in broken Spanish and pull up translations on google. The server helping the table behind us spoke excellent English; I feel like as soon as someone communicates they have a serious allergy, you either get the manger or make sure the server understands. For a five star resort and fine dining experience, this meal fell far below expectations. Especially since it was expensive (~$230 USD). Our friend could have ended up seriously ill if we weren’t diligent. Would not recommend.

Exceptional food (fish and meat) from the chef who runs a great kitchen. Staff are super attentive and simply couldn’t be any nicer. The atmosphere is relaxed, yet vibrant. Highly recommended this restaurant after a long day out in the atacama desert

This place is a true gem! It’s five minutes walk outside the main part of the small city, and the atmosphere is very well embedded in the nature with a concept that is very holistic and beautiful. Staff is extremely attentive and helpful and the small restaurant serves food of very good quality as well.

The breakfast was delicious the brazo de Reina my favorite bread, and the merluza one of the best dishes I’ve tried in Chile! Live music with a red wine is a must to do in the terrace. Ari and the service was great, highly recommended and I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve always stopped by on my trip to San Pedro and although it’s changed - it’s still a great place for dinner. I do not however recommend ordering dessert here. I ordered each option off the menu and they all lacked flavor…

Perfect way to combine a drink with some shopping. The merchandise sold in the square through the bar are better quality non standard souvenirs and I bought some lovely earrings of llama from the artisan himself see photo.

We popped in for a late lunch on a weekday, and we’re pleasantly surprised by every aspect. The service is friendly and attentive. The menu is in both English and Spanish which makes it much easier for travelers. The lunch special was $12.50 and included soup, a large portion of fish and a dessert. My dining companion had a vegetarian empanada filled with corn, and chard and other vegetables, along with a side of quinoa. Thanks for a great lunch!

We ordered the lunch menu with 2 options of starters, 2 options of main dishes and 1 option of desert. I chose the mushroom ceviche which unfortunately was too acid, even for a ceviche. The main was a salmon with baked potato’s which were really good, and ended with the desert of some sort of crumble, chantilly and red fruits which was eeeeeally sweet. Bummer, hope the ceviche was good! Service was really good btw.

Atmosphere was a little weird for an early Sunday brunch, very loud house music even though only a couple of customers, shares a space with vegan restaurant which was a little confusing. The waiter was attentive but not very friendly. I think it would be a fun place for an evening meal and I suspect they are more friendly to people who can speak Spanish.

The food here was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Quinoto de Champiñon with Salmon, which was a risotto-like dish but cooked with quinoa, along with mushroom and salmon. The taste was out of this world. Too bad it was closed the previous evening, and I was only able to dine there on my last night in the region, but I’m glad I had the chance to do so.

Thought the food was just okay. Service was friendly, and we appreciated the English translations on the menu. We ordered the camarones al pil pil, pastel de choclo, and salmon al camaron. Unfortunately both seafood dishes were overly salty and the salmon and shrimp were overcooked. That said, ambiance is nice and we appreciated the musician who was singing live when we were there.

This was our first eating outside while visiting South America and Chile. The food was fantastically delicious. Broad menu lets you find something for yourselves. Satisfactory selection of wines and beers. When we couldn’t finish what we ordered, there was no problem with packing the food to go. Very nice service, and friendly staff. Highly recommended. I even took a photo of the menu to try something of theirs at home.

Tried booking the day before but via Google and there was no answer via Facebook messenger so decided walk in. On arrival- place was half empty. Interior- basic, uncomfortable seats- wood with no padding, sat in the courtyard. Took 10mins for orders then another 20mins for drinks to turn up- pisco. Had the Res Al romeno and the ceviche. The rice in the Res Al Romeno wasn’t very nice as the cheese had a very odd taste with olives and mushrooms. Olives in a cheese rice is a very odd combination- also it was preserved olives. The ceviche mixta was good. The tiger milks was in a small shot glass so could control how much to pour. Lots of onions, two not so garlic bread and some sweat potato . Pisco was good but without the egg white . Service was awfully slow. Only go if you are not hungry and time to kill!

Two restaurants in one, one serving local food, other vegetarian & vegan. We went for the first one. Both, salmon ceviche and salmon with quinoa were really very good indeed. Freshly made juices also followed the suit. Prices are on an slightly more expensive side.

Decent food at decent prices. Nothing to write home about. The drinks were good too. The happy hour drinks were a good deal: 2 cocktails for 8,000 Chilean pesos. The setting was warm though sadly the staff wasn't. The vibe was a really quiet when we showed up. There are much better options for food and drinks in San Pedro.

Drinks (fruit juices) and service of first waiter were good. The food however was not. The baked camembert was probably baked yesterday and arrived barely warm at all, the chicken salad came with no sauce (provided at the tables were only olive oil and salt, which is at best 50% of a minimal salad sauce). The salad was also small but I did order some additional potatoes which were good. The vegetable pancake of my girlfriend contained a piece of plastic trash, which the second waitress was not too shocked about nor did she apologise appropriately. We did not order deserts in fear of what would arrive.

Food was nice, not a lot of quantity, but tasty. We had a nice bottle of red wine, recommended. We sat next to the fire and it was very warm. Around 21.30 hrs, an altiplanic group started to play some music, it was very cool! Service was awesome. Overall, I recommend the place. Good price/quality.

Great food and atmosphere at this indoor/outdoor eatery. We chose to sit outside, and only once there did we notice the true relaxation that came with the restaurant. Hammocks were there for patrons to use before or after dining. Sounds of local birds filled the air, however the rest in a hammock truly took us all by surprise.

American/ Chilean here to say this town is very touristy and when it comes to food is certainly pandering, however the food here is really lovely! I live in New York and have high standards for food and I wish this place was by me! Dulce de leche and the merengue was so nice and moist

We could not get a sit. I arrived with friends because someone called us outside. We came in, stand up whiling to find a place to be or sit and it seems that was the route of the waiters. They didn’t even talk to us, one of them, long hair and very rude give a strong push in my friends chest, she almost fell. In my point of view, doing that with a woman is outrageous. I even looked him and told: don’t worry, we are leaving. Then we left. I would never go back to a place like that. By the way, I speak Spanish and language was not a problem.

I have visited Mal de Puna several times as I work near San Pedro. They often run out of basic goods as beer or bread for sandwich. Live music is good, but they have a serious issue with supplies.

I ordered the steak with the red wine (Merlot) sauce and it was incredible, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The fries were also very good, and the steamed vegetables were a great, fresh addition. For 14,990$, the portion and quality are honestly amazing. I also had a glass of red wine that paired beautifully with the steak. My partner ordered the chicken burger. They told him it would be fried chicken, but it was actually more like a chicken pâté-style patty, so he was a bit disappointed. Still tasty, just not what he expected. And I have to mention the service: We arrived really close to kitchen closing time, and they still welcomed us with no pressure at all. Even though they technically closed earlier, they let us stay much longer than expected and didn’t rush us for a second. Super kind and patient staff, we really appreciated it. Overall, great food, great value, and genuinely wonderful service. Definitely worth a visit in San Pedro!

Very welcoming environment, excellent music, good choice of dishes cooked with creativity and taste, the juices and other drinks are also of excellent choice. We both loved our dinners- my husband got the local fish with octopus and squid ink and fried ceviche appetizer while I got the pumpkin soup and papas fritas- whatever that purple sauce they make is to die for. Best pumpkin soup I’ve had. Plus our server was so sweet and helpful. Would have ate there every night while in town!

Excellent experience. Very good service and food. We had the Lomo grillo and the Res Trigo - both with good presentation and flavour. We also had the Cabernet Sauvignon Santa Cruz from 2016 - went very well with our plates. For dessert we had the Leche Asada and the Cheesecake. Highly recommend this place on top of many others from San Pedro.

Popped in for a light bite and was pleasantly surprised by the decor, the chicken soup which was great and the menu which is a pleasent change to the standard in the area.

Still have no idea what is so crazy about the water. I guess it's why the waitress denied us a glass of the 5 jugs of fruit water sitting on the bar for everyone to see. The food makes up for the service; portions big enough for a man from the US, and flavorful too. I was surprised by the sweet potato! It's not common in this area. The live music was great as well. Jazzy. Just don't try to ask your waitresses for too much.

Made it here for a lunch that hit the spot. Read the menu outside but once you enter inside, two restaurants share the same space. Estrella Negra is the colourful smaller seating area on the right. Had the Liken Bowl and the Eggplant Sandwhich that happened to both be great.

Entering the space to the right you’ll find one of the best restaurants in San Pedro de Atacama. It is not only amazing, it is also vegan and you’re served with an amazing amount of care and friendliness. We had the vegan lasagna and it was incredible!

I LOVED this place. Each time I went, the main food portions were enormous and one time I took half of it back to my hostal for the next day! Incredibly fresh and delicious, and an interesting mix of flavours like almonds and babaganoush for one salad! Only dinking a star bc the vegan truffles were pretty bland and I’ve had much better elsewhere. Also you’re given complimentary bread and a yummy gazpacho-like sauce! Good service too. Can pay be cash or card. Plus you can order cocktails from the Chilean restaurant side of the location.

I don't take raw food so ceviche was out. But the shrimp ceviche seems to be cooked so should have gone with that. Ordered the tenderloin in wine reduction with potatoes. Steak was well done and was the worst steak I ever had. Probably ordered the wrong item as I'm not sure what a traditional Peruvian dish is.

They charge separate & extra for a less than mediocre americano. $3,000 for that, $6,000 for this tiny omlette & of course $900 service charge. Much better value if you walk & look around where you can get the coffee & omlette for just $6,000 plus service charge. Or better still, go to the local mercato & buy ingredients for a few days, which is even cheaper. Dear Rincon, Thank you for your response, that's important. I can appreciate the cost situation you face as I face it myself as an every day citizen. However, the tip being 'voluntary' is something I have rarely, if ever, witnessed in Chile! That being said, and while I stand over my review, the rating should have originally been 3, so I've revised it upwards. You have a good restaurant there and the rating is based on your restaurant being a high standard.

We ordered an IPA beer, and it was really good, but the good part of my review ends here. We aordered 2 pizzas, Jamon Serrano, the dough was extremely thin, with burned spots in many areas. Looks like they are trying to save some money with the toppings, a think layer of cheese and small pieces of ramon. There was no tomate sauce, or at least it doesn't taste like it, making the pizza quite dry. Overall a mediocre pizza, especially for the price of 13 USD!!!

We stayed in San Pedro de Atacama for five nights and three of them were spent eating at Rincon. We loved the woodford pizzas, they were the best we’ve tried in Chile. The restaurant is cozy and warm, the food was delicious and accompanied by amazing service and staff. We’re vegetarian and there was a great variety of options for us to chose from, as well as great beers. Highly recommend for anyone in Atacama! Thank you again to the whole team at Rincon!

For a bar this place had great food! The portions were a good size and prices were fair for Atacama. I ordered a quinoa chicken risotto which was delicious. My friends ordered a shrimp risotto which was also very good. All the staff spoke a little English as well. The only thing was the music was sometimes a little too loud and it was hard to have a conversation. Although we really enjoyed what the dj was playing. At night wear warm clothes since its a little chilly but worth sitting outside to look at the stars!

Great place! you can have the only (at least at the time we visited San Pedro) San Pedro's craft beers, there are several kinds of them and with local ingredients (porter with Copa Copa, Blonde with Coca). I told her we had already ordered but she didnt seem to get it and told us we had to order food at the same time. We had just had dinner so didnt want food but she said we had to leave if we only wanted a drink. So ordered a desert and 2 beers and a red wine. The only good thing was the wine. The beers here are uncarbonated and taste like flavoured water. If you're a true beer lover don't come here. Just buy a bottle of Kunstmann and spend some time at home with the kids.

The best affordable cazuela in San Pedro de Atacama! It’s like grandma’s dish! Not fancy but very satisfied! Service was good too, but you have to be very patient for the dish, at least cazuela. It’s made to order in the clay pot! By the way, they don’t really have a menu per se. The staff will show you a little sticker with all the dishes they provide that day, so both the dishes and the prices could change every day.

El Diablillo was absolutely brilliant. The food was spectacular – we went for the mixed grill of llama and guanaco (excuse the spelling!) and it was cooked perfectly. Washed down with a few glasses of wine, it set us up for what turned into one of the best nights we’ve had anywhere in Latin America. The staff were wonderful – so polite, friendly, and genuinely generous, which really made the evening feel special. We happened to be there when a local band was playing, and the whole place came alive. Before long we were drinking, dancing, and completely caught up in the atmosphere. As the only foreigners in the bar, we were welcomed with real Chilean hospitality and never once felt out of place. It was one of those nights you don’t forget – great food, great people, great music. If you’re anywhere near, go to El Diablillo. You won’t regret it.

The portion size was pretty big also. For dessert we took Leche assaso which was very nice also. The meal for two with drinks was 25€. If in San Pedro definitely should visit this place and don't forget to ask what is on the daily menu.

The waitress was great and the chefs kept us updated with preferences over cooking times. The meat was the star of the show we had the beef and pork and it was absolutely delicious, especially for the price. £7 for a menu of the day and excellent quality for the price.

We stopped here for menu del dia before the Valley de Luna tour. The service could have been slightly quicker as we had to ask for our plates to be cleared. The starters were some of the best food we had had in Atacama. The salmon ceviche was fantastic as was the cazuela de vacuno. The sides on the main were great but the steak was chewy. We keep coming back for the cazuela de ave and it’s absolutely delicious!!! It’s what we call in Colombia a “levanta muerto” soup. I’ve had horrible altitude sickness and this soup has come in to save the day (literally).

The menu of the day is bad… bbq chicken is kfc styled deep fried but also no taste. The steak meet was super chewy, we never received the desert. The service forgot about us for 2 of the 3 courses. Honestly, worst restaurant we’ve been to in San Pedro. Just don’t waste your time here

Decided to try this restaurant out while in San Pedro. Turned out to be bad experience. Food took a long time to come out and still was not fresh. We were expecting that after 25-30 mins of waiting we would get some hot fresh delicious meal. Salmon was over cooked and didn’t look freshly prepared. We had heavy bloating after having it. My chicken was okay but again didn’t seem freshly prepared. Wont go back ever.

Absolute failure and tourist trap. Although the restaurant was almost empty, we waited an hour for the food. Unfortunately, the tortilla was very bad and the cordon bleu was already cold. The fruit salad consisted of Cucumber, Strawberry Yoghurt and 2 Grapes. The risotto was not a real risotto, but tasted OK. The fettuchine was made with cheap spam and not real ham. Also, the waitress was stubborn in responding to requests about when the food would be served.

Exceptional drinks ! I had the best time of my life, just look at my face with the two happy hours. $7000 for two drinks + nice decoration reminding Perú and Bolivia (i loved this countries)

As other reviews have said: timing isnt their forte. Cooking neither; octopus was overcooked, potatoes undercooked, steak tougher than a seasoned army man. The ice we asked for (twice) never came. Definitely a strong entry in the tourist trap category.

Only ate at the restaurant, so this review only applies to it. Went in a large group of 6 people and ordered a few different dishes. The food was not as good as the food from other similar-priced restaurants, but it was ok. They also mixed some orders, but it was sorted sithout problem. Overall, it wouldnt be my first option, but it is ok.

The owner opened up for a half a dozen English football fans to watch the England game way earlier than he was supposed to,he trusted us to help ourselves to the beer cabinet and settle the bill at the end, two of us remained after the game for food and it was excellent, the prices were reasonable too.

The restaurant has a really bad service. We went as a group for lunch, all the other people in my group got their meals but I didn't. After waiting for about an hour, I got my order... served incorrectly. I simply do not recommend it, they do not have the capability to serve at peak hours.

We had a room with shared bathroom. We only utilised it for the night as we had a early tour. They included breakfast, and if going for a tour they instead provide a lunch. However as we don't eat the local meat we were provided buns with meat which we couldn't eat. Otherwise the stay was pleasant.

I think this place specializes in drinks and maybe the good reviews come after have imbibed lots of them. We walked in at 12.30 and it’s 14.05 and we still have no food. Did we order something complicated? We ordered one margarita pizza. It finally arrived at 14.10. Anyway don’t come here for speedy service. And the pizza was burned. My starving daughter described the pizza as “mid”.

Wish I’d read reviews before coming. Took over 40 mins to serve the most simple salad and soup for the menu del dia and the main was also very basic. They did give us a free drink to apologise and said their regular chef was sick but overall for a very simple and overpriced menu del dia it took 70 mins which is just way too long and made us late for our next appointment

What a great welcome we received at Karavan! First time downtown and we sought out this place having been recommended to it by Max our knowledgeable JLA guide. As we arrived both the round tables outside were occupied with couples having drinks. Looked inside and saw a guitarist setting up and knew it would be too loud for us to hear each other’s conversation. Our Spanish is non-existent but our greeter used Google translate to good effect. He appreciated our predicament and said we could have one of the outside tables when it came free. But meanwhile sit inside and order. This we did and ten minutes later we’re outside at the corner table enjoying our drinks. The other couple like Pisco Sour, but without the egg and Google fixed that two. Ditto our off-menu request for guacamole with crispy crackers which was delicious. A definite with your pre-dinner drinks! However the breeze was blowing harder and getting dustier, so when the other outside table tucked in the lee corner came free, he moved us there. All with smiles and no sign of irritation. And we could hear just enough of the singer/guitarist whose repertoire of covers was largely US/UK. That was fine by us and no doubt chosen with tourists in mind. However I am applauding the service and on that basis recommend Karavan. There’s so much choice of restaurants on the strip that it’s good to know one place which welcomes tourists so genuinely. FWIW I think they could move their menu up a notch and make more of their pole position. Like many of these high street sites there’s a huge space behind. Currently it has a couple of jewellery makers producing interesting things - we bought a minimalist lapis lazuli pendant the following day. But the space isn’t occupied fully and the restaurant could easily expand into the rear area with an interior patio to provide sheltered open-air seating. I’m thinking early days Club 55, Chilean version.

The beef burger and the quinoa salad were good but the highlight was the onion rings! Many vegetarian options. A nice spot for an easy, quick dinner!

The food is horrible. Maybe they are big on liquors instead of food. The rivoli is not fully cooked, the wrapper is still hard. The fries are also half raw half cooked. The fried chicken is so dry and hard to chew. The pork rib and the beef are cold. If you want to have a drink here that’s fine, please avoid the food, HORRIBLE!

A sparkling white space that stands out in the desert. The restobar is along the main streets of San Pedro and really easy to spot. We came for afternoon drinks and was delighted by the refreshing sours and we can see amazing food being served for lunch. Totally worth it for a cosy chill space. Update was just given a sample of really amazing falafel to die for. A place not to missed.
