We had a great time doing the Llama trekking and it‘s an experience you should not miss while being in Tilcara. However, you should be in a decent physical shape as the ascent and descent during the trek is quite steep, and it’s at 2500 meters above sea level. At the top of the mountain, they offered a variety of snacks for lunch (empanadas, cheese, fruits etc.), which were very tasty. The scenery is just great and it‘s fun to walk with the llamas!
