Swissôtel Hotel Makkah is a modern and luxurious hotel located within the Abraj Al-Bait complex, offering direct access to Ajyad Street and the Grand Mosque. The hotel provides well-appointed rooms and suites with amenities such as prayer mats and high-speed wifi. Guests can enjoy Swiss hospitality at the cafe, which offers delectable cream cakes and fruit pastries.
I recently stayed at Swissôtel Makkah, and I must say the room quality and housekeeping service** exceeded my expectations. Room Quality The room was spacious, modern, and exceptionally clean. The beds were very comfortable, and the linen was fresh and crisp. I especially appreciated the soundproofing, which made it easy to rest despite the hotel being so close to the Haram. The bathroom was also well-maintained, with high-quality amenities and great water pressure in the shower. The view of the Holy Kaaba from my window made the experience even more special. Room Attendant / Housekeeping The housekeeping team was extremely professional and attentive. My room was cleaned daily with care, and everything was always spotless. Towels and toiletries were restocked regularly without me needing to ask. Special thanks to the room attendant who was always polite, respectful, and made sure I had everything I needed even leaving a kind note with fresh towels on one occasion. It’s the little touches like that which make a difference. Overall, Swissôtel Makkah provides an exceptional level of comfort and hospitality. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality stay close to the Haram.

Had a great experience staying here. The hotel is super clean, comfortable, and very close to the Haram you can’t beat the location. The staff were all really nice and helpful. A special shoutout to Ahmed at the front desk, who helped us big time and even upgraded our room! He was very professional and kind throughout the process. Overall, everything was smooth and enjoyable. Definitely recommend Swissôtel Makkah — we’d love to stay here again!

Staying at this five-star hotel with its breathtaking view of the Kaaba was truly an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, the service exceeded our expectations. I would especially like to thank Ishraq at the reception who assisted us during check-in — her professionalism and kindness made the process smooth and effortless. We truly appreciated her help, and it set the tone for a perfect stay. A special thank you as well to the Moroccan chef, who prepared delicious dishes at the buffet. As Moroccans, we warmly appreciated his creations, which allowed us to relive our culinary traditions even in the heart of Makkah — a truly special and comforting feeling. We would also like to express our gratitude to the breakfast restaurant team for their warm service and constant attention, as well as to the housekeeping staff for keeping our room immaculate and comfortable throughout our stay. Overall, our experience was outstanding, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking comfort, exceptional service, and a remarkable view of the Holy Kaaba.

Our experience at Swissotel Makkah was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Every interaction was met with genuine warmth, professionalism, and a true spirit of hospitality that perfectly reflects the sacred atmosphere of Makkah. A very special mention must go to Mehdi, our driver, who made our ziyarat experience unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient — taking the time to explain the historical and spiritual significance of each site we visited. His passion and respect for the journey truly elevated the entire experience. We felt safe, inspired, and deeply moved throughout. The hotel itself was immaculate, the rooms spacious and serene with breathtaking views of the Haram. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious options to suit every taste. We stayed in rooms 1233 and 1216 nazmul was great keeping the rooms immaculate

Currently on Umrah and Swissotel has been absolutely incredible. 🥘 Imran Muhammed Rashid has been a wonderful waiter—so attentive and helpful! He brought us whatever we needed at breakfast and we so appreciated it. 📌 The location is ideal and goes right into Zam Zam Clock Towers and onto the mataf. 🌍 The hotel aims to be eco-conscious and only changes bedding on request, which is amazing. The products in the bathroom are all eco-conscious as well and the copywriting is just divine! Overall really enjoying my stay, Alhamdulillah.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Excellent Stay at Swissôtel Makkah! I recently stayed at Swissôtel Makkah, room no 2605 and it was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel’s location is perfect — just steps away from the Holy Haram, offering a beautiful view and easy access for prayers. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a peaceful atmosphere after a long day. A special mention and heartfelt thanks to Atik, the housekeeper who looked after our room during our stay. He was incredibly polite, professional, and always had a warm smile. Atik went above and beyond to ensure our room was clean and comfortable every single day. His excellent manners and helpful nature really made a difference and added a personal touch to our stay. Overall, I highly recommend Swissôtel Makkah to anyone visiting Makkah. Excellent service, great facilities, and a truly caring staff — especially Atik.

We stayed in 3204 Swiss Makkah. Happy to say that it is an amazing stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. The house keeping staffs are very dedicated and they fulfill our requests in quick manner without any delays. The floor supervisor Rijwan and room attendant Abdu gave a great service during our stay. Overall, everything was perfect. Recommended hotel for all pilgrims !!!

Alhumdulillah this is the first time ive experienced a 10/10 in every department. The reception staff, valet, restaurant, housekeeping and security were truly amazing, all had continuous smiles and were always greeted with Salaam as you walked past them. The hotel stay was great and we throughly enjoyed the services that was provided. The hotel location was on the ground floor of the clock tower therefore only 1 lift to the room was required. I highly recommend swissotel makkah to all planning to visit for umrah or hajj. This experience in will never forget. Jazakallah to all those people who made this experience possible.

Nestled in the heart of Makkah, the Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel is part of the impressive Abraj Al-Bait Towers complex. This architectural marvel is not only home to the tallest hotel and clock tower globally but also boasts the largest clock face ever created. Upon completion, it will stand as one of the tallest buildings worldwide, second only to Dubai's Burj Khalifa.
The hotel’s location couldn’t be better — right next to Masjid Al-Haram, offering breathtaking views and unmatched convenience. The building itself is stunning, both inside and out, with an impressive four-story mall and food courts directly below. Staff were consistently polite and professional, attending to every request quickly and efficiently. Room service was excellent — prompt, courteous, and reliable. I also had a pleasant experience with Ibrahim at checkout; he was especially polite and helpful. Laundry service ran smoothly, and the members’ restaurant area was elegant with an incredible selection of food — everything tasted great and the service was top notch. The hotel is absolutely massive — so much so that I actually got lost a few times finding my way back to my room! But that only adds to its grandeur. Overall, a beautiful and well-run hotel. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Makkah.

The Makkah Clock Towers is an absolutely magnificent landmark — a true masterpiece that perfectly blends luxury, spirituality, and modern comfort. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with breathtaking views of the Holy Kaaba and the Grand Mosque, creating an unforgettable sense of peace and reverence. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean, offering a serene atmosphere ideal for prayer and reflection. The staff are exceptionally professional and kind, always ready to assist with warmth and hospitality that truly elevates the experience. The shopping mall and dining options within the tower make everything so convenient, and the view from the higher floors — especially during prayer times — is beyond words. Staying here feels like a blessing. Makkah Clock Towers isn’t just a hotel; it’s a spiritual and luxurious experience like no other. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Makkah! 🌙

Our experience at the hotel was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and ensured our comfort throughout our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to be allowed an early check-in without any hassle, which made a wonderful first impression. Butler Andiek Dirgantara and Muteib from the Fairmont Gold Reception were especially helpful in arranging a smooth early check-in and ensuring our room was ready without any delay. Butler Andiek Dirgantara stood out for his outstanding hospitality—always greeting us with a warm, genuine smile and offering personalized service that made us feel truly cared for. We were also delighted to learn that he is from our home country, which added a lovely personal touch to our stay. Being able to converse in our native language was a great comfort, and he went out of his way to make us feel at home. His service went far beyond expectations. The Fairmont Gold privileges were also impressive—such as the dedicated elevator straight to the ground floor leading to Masjid Al-Haram, access to the exclusive Fairmont Gold Lounge, a separate prayer room, and the Dira Restaurant offering excellent food and beverage selections. These value-added features made our stay even more enjoyable. While the overall service was exceptional, there is room for improvement in one area. Out of the four special elevators reserved for Fairmont Gold guests, only two were operational, which caused some inconvenience and longer waiting times to reach the ground floor. Despite this minor issue, our overall experience was fantastic. The hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care shown by the staff made our stay truly memorable. We would definitely consider staying at and highly recommend Fairmont Gold on our next visit to Makkah.

The breakfast was top quality. The rooms were comfortable. Riyaz manager was very friendly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fairmont Hotel, Makkah Staying at the Fairmont Hotel felt like stepping into a serene world of comfort and peace 🌙✨. From the refreshing shower that melts away your tiredness 💦 to the breakfast that tastes like a feast crafted with love 🍽️, every moment was sheer delight. The rooms are elegant, cozy, and a true haven above the Holy Haram 🕋. The staff greet you with warm smiles and a cheerful “hello” 😊, making you feel genuinely welcomed at every turn. The location is simply perfect — just steps from the Haram, where every glance fills your heart with tranquility and devotion 🤍. Truly, this hotel is “from excellent to extraordinary, beyond compare” — an unforgettable experience from start to finish! 💫

had a great experience staying at the Fairmont in Makkah. The service truly stood out. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, especially during the breakfast hours. A special thank you to Abdulrehman and his supervisor Sulaiman who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. I was not feeling well one morning, and they kindly arranged a special hot drink for me. A small gesture that made a big difference. Moreover, they continued to check on me and my family during our stay. Highly recommend this
Farahat K — Google review
Everything was absolutely perfect. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and the entire staff demonstrates exceptional professionalism. From the front desk to housekeeping, as well as the restaurant and lounge teams, everyone is friendly, respectful, and truly attentive to guests’ needs. The reception staff are particularly remarkable, always available, kind, and eager to make every guest’s stay easier and more pleasant. The restaurant and lounge staff are equally wonderful: helpful, caring, and always ready to serve with a smile. The housekeeping and luggage teams are efficient, discreet, and extremely thoughtful. I would especially like to thank Hidayah, Abdallah and Mohamed from reception, as well as Asma from the lounge, for their kindness, constant smiles, and outstanding professionalism. My apologies to the other team members whose names I did not catch. I have wonderful memories of each of you. One moment truly touched us: my daughter had brought a small flower from outside and left it on the table. When we returned, we found our room perfectly arranged and the flower had been carefully placed in a vase with water. This simple but thoughtful gesture perfectly reflects how well-trained and detail-oriented the staff are. I was genuinely impressed by the quality of service, the attentiveness of the staff, and the care given to every detail. All the restaurants are excellent, the atmosphere is delightful, and everything is designed for the guest’s comfort. Thanks to the entire team, our stay was truly exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return on my next visit.

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the team for their outstanding hospitality during my stay in room 2622. A special thanks to Sabir, Idris, and Saif Allah from housekeeping for their excellent service, the room was always spotless, well-organized, and maintained with great attention to detail. Their professionalism and kindness truly made a difference. I would also like to thank Abd El Karim from the Food & Beverage department for his warm attitude and attentive service, always delivered with a smile. My sincere appreciation as well to Mr. Abd El Magieed from reception, who was extremely cooperative, welcoming, and always ready to assist. His professionalism and courtesy gave a great first impression from the moment I arrived. Lastly, a big thank you to Ms. Amal, the Deputy Manager, for her exceptional leadership and personal care in ensuring everything was smooth and comfortable throughout my stay. Her thoughtful follow-up and genuine hospitality were truly appreciated. Overall, it was a wonderful experience thanks to this dedicated and professional team. Thank you all for making my stay so pleasant.

I recently stayed at the Makkah Fairmont Clock Tower Hotel, and the experience has been wonderful. Throughout my stay, all the staff showed great respect, friendliness, and excellent service. The hotel’s restaurant, Al Dira, was also wonderful. The food was delicious, and the service was fast and efficient especially from Ms. Hind, who was exceptionally kind and attentive. Our housekeeper also did a fantastic job, ensuring our room was always clean and comfortable. We faced some issues with our room arrangement. We had to follow up with the receptionist for three days. The duty manager, Ms. Hira, and her assistant were very helpful in attending to our concerns. They managed to resolve the issue within a day. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay here. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this hotel to others visiting Makkah. Ps. This is my 2nd time being in this hotel. And its wonderful. Can i get a discount next time? Hehe

Hotel
Nestled in the heart of Makkah, Four Points by Sheraton offers a delightful blend of comfort and convenience for travelers, especially those on a pilgrimage. With 1,136 well-appointed rooms and suites that provide stunning views of the city and Al Rajhi Mosque, this hotel is an ideal retreat after a day spent exploring sacred sites like Masjid al-Haram and the Kaaba.
My stay at Four Points by Sheraton was a comfortable and enjoyable experience. The hotel offers a great balance between luxury and affordability. The rooms were clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay—comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and fast Wi-Fi. The service was professional and courteous. Staff at the reception and housekeeping were always helpful and quick to respond to requests. The breakfast buffet was impressive, offering a wide range of local and international options. The location was also ideal—close to key attractions, restaurants, and transportation options. The hotel’s atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, perfect for both business and leisure travelers. Minor issues included limited parking space and slightly delayed room service at times, but nothing that seriously impacted the overall stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality hotel experience at a fair price.

This is my second visit at this hotel, price is reasonable, very comfortable and peaceful place, I enjoy the views around me, palm trees and mountains. masjed al rajhi is close , nice to pray there and hear the Athan. Customer service was good. Staff is very friendly And humble. I had a good customer service from Hassan, at the perfume store. And Sarah at the cosmetics, she was very friendly and she had good customer service. Over all everyone was nice. I enjoy my time and I enjoyed the area. Thank you

I stayed at the hotel for one night only and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a clean room with good furniture. The receptionist was really nice and helpful, I requested a late check out and she managed to accommodate my request. The breakfast was good and varied. Parking area need more effort to be organized. Thanks to everyone 🙏🏻
Anas A — Google review
I had a generally good stay at the hotel — the room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the overall service was nice. However, I had a very upsetting experience during check-out. I was alone in the room, sleeping, and didn’t hear them knocking. Without warning, a staff member suddenly opened the door!! — while I was still inside, alone. This happened around 3 PM, and I don’t believe I had overstayed enough to justify such an action. As a woman traveling alone, this made me feel extremely unsafe and violated. I truly hope the hotel reviews its privacy and safety policies to ensure this doesn’t happen again to anyone else. It was a frightening and uncomfortable moment!
Dr A — Google review
This was our second time staying at your hotel, and we continue to admire its beautiful location and the convenience of your shuttle service to Masjid Al-Haram. Your front desk team is truly outstanding—every member we interacted with was warm, professional, and made us feel valued as guests. However, I did experience some challenges at breakfast buffet. While the buffet selection is very good, service has room for improvement. In February, I had a negative interaction at the omelet station. During my recent stay on August 7th, I accidentally left my water bottle in the breakfast area and approached a supervisor (South Asian gentleman in a grey suit) to see if it had been found. Unfortunately, the response felt dismissive and unhelpful, which was disappointing given the otherwise high level of hospitality at your hotel. I’m sharing this feedback because I believe with a little more focus on breakfast service, your guest experience could match the excellent impression set by your FRONT DESK TEAM Overall, the front desk staff remains the highlight of the hotel and the main reason we would consider returning Inshallah.
Jasmine D — Google review
My stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Makkah Al Naseem was absolutely outstanding—truly a five-star experience from start to finish. The hospitality, cleanliness, comfort, and professionalism of the staff exceeded all my expectations. Every detail, from the check-in process to the quality of the room and amenities, was handled with care and excellence. The staff were always warm, attentive, and ready to help, making me feel completely at ease throughout my stay. The location was convenient, the facilities were top-notch, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel created a sense of both comfort and luxury. I would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling to Makkah, whether for business or personal reasons. I look forward to staying again in the future. Thank you for delivering such an exceptional experience.

Emar Al-Sultan Hotel is located in the Al Aziziah District, Ash Shaikh Abdullah Khayyat Street, Mecca. It's a convenient 20-minute walk to the center of Mecca and close to the mosque and market. The hotel offers currency exchange and a cash machine for guests' convenience. While some guests have mentioned issues with room service and air conditioning remotes, other services are highly praised. Additionally, Falcon Enterprise has received positive feedback for their work at the hotel.
The hotel’s biggest advantage is its close proximity to Masjid al-Haram, making it extremely convenient for prayers and visits. Its location is ideal for those prioritizing easy access to the Haram. However, the rooms are quite small and lack adequate space for comfort. The service is subpar, with delayed responses from staff. Additionally, the washrooms are not maintained properly, falling short of basic cleanliness standards.

The hotel is very close to haram and very convenient for prayers. The rooms are ok, toilet and bathroom very small. We also had some power cuts but only for 10 mins.

Worst hotel. Non cooperative staff. Stuffs behavior z extremely bad. O stayed 5 days even after notifying several tyms they didn't clean the room. So noisy ac. The only thing is good is location, which is also overshadowed as police do not allow our car to reach hotel. We had to walk upto misfalah bridge carrying all the luggage

Dirty rooms No proper room service when I arrived NO towel available at my room. No kettle provided In 24 hours no one visit for room cleaning Only 2 slow lifts that work very slow It's just near to Haram That's the only plus point

Positive points: - five minutes or less walk to masjid Al Haram -in close vicinity to a lot of malls, restaurants and food courts Negative points: -Tiny rooms with barely any space to keep suitcases -Dusty carpets -Poorly maintained air conditioners-bird feathers were entering the room via the air conditioner -no kettle/glasses/teacups provided -rooms are cleaned every 3 days

Elaf Almaqam Hotel Makkah Ajyad (EX - Nour Al Thuria Hotel) is located in the Ajyad district of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, just 2.4 km from Jannat Al Muallaa Cemetery, making it a great choice for cultural tourism enthusiasts. The hotel offers clean and comfortable rooms with hardwood flooring, which is convenient for those with dust allergies.
It’s a decent location . Very close to gates But the hill is super steep . Not for old ppl / For young fit folks this was actually a gem. The steep hill to the hotel was a good workout . The breakfast options are very good , but less options for vegetarians. I would come here again just coz of the proximity and good value for money

Very nice rooms as recently refurbished. Slight hill as you walk to haram but not too hard. Less than 5 mins to Haram. Very good value for money

They accepted me to make early check-in without charge. Mr Sultan, who was in reception, was gentle; the room was very clean, breakfast delicious, especially chefs Mahdi and sharaful din who was very fast to cook what you requested; And finally, I can't forget that Mr Sameer Egyptian man driver, took my baggage and booked for me returned taxi I must visit again I liked.

We were there for 3 nights. Very nice location and the staff is very friendly and helpful managing your requirements. We were two ladies from Toronto and they made our stay very comfortable. The Iftar in their restaurant was nice with good variety. Room was clean just the washroom was too small especially the shower area. Staff went out of their way to help out and the golf cart service was excellent. May Allah bless them Allah. Guests from Toronto Canada
Ayaan R — Google review
The hotel staff is very very friendly. The room itself was very tiny and had poor lighting. The bathroom was also very tight and my leg would not fit in the toilet. The sink was also dirty and was leaking. My honest review would be to book this hotel if you are on a tight budget and you want something close to the masjid. However, if you have elderly or children, then I would refrain from booking this hotel due to the Steephill. There is a cart available, but it’s not always there 24/7

Hotel Aayan Al Barakah is located in the Al Aziziyah district, just a 13-minute walk from Madhbah Isma'Il. The property offers Wi-Fi throughout and is situated 105 km from King Abdulaziz airport. While some visitors found the location convenient, others felt that the restaurant was below average. However, many guests appreciated the early check-in and late check-out options provided by the reception staff.
Room service is ZERO. Reception staff , rooms and bathrooms are fine in the price. Location is ok. Restaurant is below average , better don't try. I gave 5* as they allowed early check in and late check out

Extreme unprofessional behaviour. We booked the room 1 month before and when I arrived they said no room available. It is the month of Ramadan and we are fasting ! There were so many families with the same issue !!

This hotel is ok for those who wants to save money by sacrificing their comfort. The rooms are not good., very small. Toilets leaking. Don’t expect anything once you checked in. Parking is based on availability. If you request anything they will not listen. We booked 3 rooms., 1 room had Bed bugs. Not good experience. But again if you are looking for saving money and stay for one or two nights, then it’s ok. Taxi to haram 20 SR.

If there's a zero star, I'd choose it as this hotel should never be a hotel or a place for living at all. The service is 0/10, no bath towels, no hot water in the bathroom, no water in the toilet No transport to Al haram There were water dispensers in the corridor but without water, not working I spent 1 night only in room 109,it was dirty and uncomfy beds Not recommended Please the person who is responsible for the tourism ministry to close this place as it is not suitable for living for humans.

I would never recommend this hotel unless you can't find cheaper hotel anywhere else. The service is absolutely rubbish and I stud there just to ask for help from asian receptionist and I was being ignored all time. Card of room does not work all time and need to go down to reception for fixing. No room service available, clean room your self, no bedsheets changes etc. Absolutely terrible service. Do not book this hotel in Ramadan because the bus driver does not leave on time and does not stay on bus but walks around in makah. I have to stay in extremely heat just because bus driver was walking around for more then 30 minutes. Other hotels have over 100 buses but this one has only 1.

Good hotel with regular bus shuttle services to and from haram. All required facilities nearby. Car parking on street (subject to availability of space in high seasons) helpful & cooperative staff. Lifts were too much busy. Clean and suitable environment.
SAIMA N — Google review
Hotel is okay. There's a bus service however it drops on the Marwa end and also a little far away. The main life is of course inside Haram and on their times on the clock tower side which is too far away from the bus stop. One can always take a taxi to and from the Haram which costs 5-15 SAR depends upon time of the year and weekday and time of the day. The taxi drops on the ajyad side or in the drop lane under the clock tower. There are also government run busses on the Azizya side of the Haram near the clock tower which drops one close to the hotel for free. Since two days there's no water in the hotel. I don't know if it's a one off issue or frequent issue. Beds and carpets are good. Based on my experiences, when the hotels near the Haram are too expensive and the cheaper ones far away have a shuttle service, then pick a hotel on the ajyad side.
Umair N — Google review
Average sized rooms in Aziziah region. Poor room isolation and room service. No extension in the room. Provides transport to and from haram daily round the clock. Has al baik, tazaj and dominoes nearby..
Mohamed I — Google review
Good location surrounded by markets and restaurant, shuttle bus daily to al haram, but they don't accept payment online, they will sell the room if we didn't come within the time frame mentioned.
Abdus S — Google review
Wi-Fi disruption Wi-Fi available at reception only No Wi-Fi in rooms One of the Saudi staff at the reception was rude The Egyptian staff was very helpful Weird noise from the air conditioning No housekeeping unless you ask The shuttle service to and from Al Haram is the only good thing There are supermarkets and hypermarkets nearby Several restaurants available
