Bodies of Water
Yulong River is a picturesque destination located just north of Yangshuo in Shibanqiao village. This area offers a non-touristy experience, with the opportunity to explore the scenic village and visit the Tai Chi & Kung Fu School of Master Fu. To reach Shibanqiao village, visitors can cycle along the Li River from Yangshuo center.
Yulong River – A Dreamlike Escape Yulong River is truly like a scene from a movie. The breathtaking landscape, with its towering karst mountains, lush greenery, and peaceful villages, feels almost unreal. The water is a stunning shade of blue, reflecting the sky and surrounding nature like a perfect painting. No matter where you stand, every angle offers a picture-perfect view. Whether you’re cruising on a bamboo raft or simply walking along the riverbanks, the scenery is mesmerizing. The atmosphere is calm and serene, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you’re visiting Yangshuo, Yulong River is an absolute must-see. It’s not just a place to explore—it’s an experience you’ll never forget.
Min124 K — Google review
Great place and infrastructure. Very easy to go around and has walking and bicycle paths. Not very wild as it seems and feels a bit touristic at times so if you prefer something wilder not the ideal place for you.
Raphael M — Google review
Great experience here to stroll around the river and enjoy the limestone rocks view. Unfortunately the raft we were on was made from plastic instead of bamboo.
KF Y — Google review
Another highlight for us of our tour of Guilin is the Yulong river cruise. We were provided rafts instead of boats. The rafts were modified so that we could sit comfortably. The raftsman steered the raft expertly. The scenery was so beautiful and serene. The ever present karst hills were prominent wherever we looked.
Andrew Y — Google review
Beautiful and mystic is the word! Day time its full of tourist rafts that carry two persons a time down the river. Night time the whole scenery turns mystic. Beauty of the majestic hills adds extra to the whole scene.
Mas H — Google review
One of the more beautiful and well known places in Guilin. You can get a classic scenic look of the Guilin mountains and waters. Many will recommend getting a raft and a motor cycle to see the scenery which you can do but is not necessary. Some of the best views can be seen on the bridges.
Allen L — Google review
The path along the Yulong River is one of the nicest stretches of scenic beauty there is.
John M — Google review
So much beauty here, peaceful and quiet Makes one appreciate nature's beauty

West Street

Mentioned on
10 lists
West Street, also known as Yangshuo's Foreigner Street, is a bustling and vibrant pedestrian street in the heart of Yangshuo. Lined with shops, restaurants, and bars, it offers a lively atmosphere day and night. The street is famous for its unique blend of Eastern and Western cultures, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists.
Warm environment in cool winter, beautiful experience tho super busy throughout the day. We were there in late March, 2025. The temperature was 6°C, with subtle drizzles throughout the day.
Wasif R — Google review
A short street in Yangshou with a variety of shops and market stalls selling all sorts, be sure to haggle with the vendors if you decide to buy anything and be mindful of the turtle on a lead outside of the ornament store. Lots of hustle and bustle going on but no need to spend any prolonged time here. Be careful of the pet turtle outside one of the shops.
Jamie H — Google review
Well the location on this Google map is not entirely correct. The street is nice for me, it is beautiful, quite clean and a lot of things are available from food, drinks, souvenirs, clothes and so on. The view here is very nice with the mountain's background. The vibes just feel different. Plus the town is not that big like this is the centre and everything is just walking distance from here from hotels, pier and river it's all within reach. The price is okay, there is a limited amount of halal food here, a lot of bars. I do enjoy it. I really like the place.
Hafizun M — Google review
A tourist(trap) pedestrian street with alot of stores and activity during the day and night. But be aware: it's not here but on the east side of Yangshuo (search for xijie pedestrian street)
Koen G — Google review
Overpriced bars and restaurants, annoying groups trying to interview you in English, and a particularly nasty person selling snacks with signs declaring "NO JAPANESE." Yangshuo isn't really a great food destination, just find some noodles near wherever you're staying.
Kenny L — Google review
Tourist attractions and will be crowded at night. Lots of food stall and restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops, traditional clothing and foto studios as you are local people.
Ong S — Google review
A walking street where you can try 😋 their famous dish called "啤酒魚". Most of the restaurants have this dish. There are souvenir shops for candies、cakes and biscuits etc. Usually visitors will buy the ginger and osmanthus candy.
Nancy H — Google review
Very crowded, full of souvenir shops. Couldn't find one reasonably priced souvenir though. Ex: chinese tea cup was $10. In a non-tourist area was 1.20 for nicer. The difference adds up quick. Nice to walk around early during the day tho if weather is good. We got out in half hour.

Yangshuo Tianlai Butterfly Spring

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Yangshuo Tianlai Butterfly Spring is a must-visit destination in Yangshuo, offering a serene and natural experience. While some may argue that the attractions in Yangshuo are limited, this butterfly spring stands out as a place of genuine beauty. Visitors can immerse themselves in nature by rafting down the river or climbing Xianggong Mountain for breathtaking views of the Li River and mountains. Exploring the rural scenery is best done by cycling through the area.
Lots to do here from glass bridge, slide, cultural performance and luminous stones
Patience S — Google review
More multicolor lit up caves, meh. The performance was so-so. The outdoor grounds and view of the mountains, as well as the draw bridge, made up for the otherwise underwhelming experience.
Tony G — Google review
No butterflies, small and almost fake cave. To cross the bridge you have to pay extra and then there are about ten shops you have to pass through but nothing else. Not recommended to visit, especially if you can't speak Chinese.
Bart R — Google review
If you only come to see the giant butterfly you are missing out. There are so many tiny ones. Not to mention the amazing nature all around you.

It's a popular destination, offering rich nightlife and convenient access to various attractions. Nearby accommodations provide a range of experiences, from peaceful rural scenery near Yulong River to the bustling environment near Zhengyang Pedestrian Street.
West Street is the place to hang out in the evening if you are staying at Yangshuo. It is very lively as Chinese and some foreign tourists gather here to walk around, shop, eat, and drink. The atmosphere is great, and you can spend many hours here. You cannot miss West Street!
Stephen — Google review
This is an incredibly bustling pedestrian street filled with a wide variety of unique shops and street food stalls. There’s something for everyone here, from local snacks to specialty stores, making it a vibrant spot to explore and enjoy. Perfect for a lively evening stroll or a quick bite!

Lot's of restaurants, shops and cafe. Nice views at night too. I was here in February and the cold weather made me freezing!

Nice walking street with souvenirs and food to wind down the day. Highly recommended.

Happening street in the early evening up till early midnight
Nicole N — Google review
Nice. Safe. 24 hours police service.
D L — Google review
A really cool set of pedestrian streets. But just a bit too many karaoke bars and clothing rental stores. A must-see if you're in Yangshuo. Be sure to pick up some authentic snacks once you're here. Is a bit more interesting in the evening.
Johnny S — Google review
A good food option in Yangshuo. The West Street is a touristic entertainment street with restaurants, bars, etc. However, do not pick Yangshuo for this tourist attraction... there are way more interesting sights all over China.

Yangshuo Park

Mentioned on
5 lists
Park
Nature & Parks
Geologic Formations
Nestled in the heart of Yangshuo, Yangshuo Park is a vibrant oasis that beckons both locals and travelers alike. With its winding jogging trails, inviting playgrounds, and serene gathering spaces, this park is perfect for those seeking a blend of relaxation and activity. Early mornings are particularly enchanting here; as the sun rises over majestic mountain peaks, you can witness local residents practicing tai chi amidst the tranquil atmosphere.
Very beautiful place. Plenty of eatery.
Amezin S — Google review
Yangshuo is a fantastic destination that offers incredible value for travelers, especially by American standards. You can find a wide range of comfortable hotels starting around $20 per night. The area is packed with exciting activities for all kinds of travelers. Adventure seekers can enjoy paragliding, hot air ballooning, rock climbing, and scenic hikes. Those interested in history will appreciate the chance to explore ancient towns and ruins scattered throughout the region. Renting a moped is also a popular and fun way to take in the stunning mountain landscapes at your own pace. West Street is a major hotspot, especially in the evenings—it really comes alive with all the street vendors and crowds of tourists. It's a great place to soak in the local vibe, shop, and simply walk around. However, it's important to stay alert for scams. Some vendors may quote one price and then try to charge more at the last minute, using all sorts of clever tricks. Be polite but firm, and always double- or triple-check prices before making a purchase. I’d recommend staying between 1.5 to 3 days, depending on how much you want to explore. Overall, Yangshuo offers a unique blend of natural beauty, adventure, and cultural charm—definitely worth a visit.
M H — Google review
Well known for its c karst mountains, the moon moutain, the coin cave ,Li river and many other Beautiful places. We have tasted delicious halal and non halal foods as well.
Tongkhay Y — Google review
Nice tranquil park very close to West Street. I stayed in Yangshuo for 10 days and was able to continue my calisthenics practice here throughout the stay thanks to the pull up bars, monkey bars, parallel bar, and numerous other bars in the park. During the morning it's such a good vibes with cool air and lots of shushu and aiyi (uncles and aunties) doing exercises, taichi, qi gong, group dancing, fan dancing and other forms of exercise. The elder community in China is very fit compared to other countries thanks to parks and communities like this. You'll definitely be more motivated and influenced by the local community here to stay fit and get moving. There is also a walking path around for walker and joggers. There are lots of trees so even during the peak sun times in summer you can spend the day under the trees to avoid the hest and get some good nature vibes. There is also a small rock you can climb up to see the view of Yangshuo from a height, it's a very easy climb with steps, takes less than 10 minutes to get to the top and good for all sizes and ages of people. The view is also quite satisfactory. Also there is a small lake/pond, which is beautiful.
Chathuranga K — Google review
Great view and Scenery and everything seem to be so calm. We experienced A Sun Halo Phenomena while we were here.
Phua T — Google review
Yangshuo Park is a true natural wonder! Its stunning karst limestone formations, lush greenery, and serene rivers make it a paradise for nature lovers. Walking through this park felt like stepping into a fairytale landscape. Don't miss the opportunity to explore its breathtaking beauty. 🌿🏞️✨

This park locates in the center of Yangshuo, it has a chill old feeling, mostly elderly people playing cards and doing group dancing. Some monument to the Martyrs and nice fitness equiptments too.

Yulong Bridge

Sights & Landmarks
Bridges
Yulong Bridge, also known as Dragon Bridge, is a picturesque spot in the Yangshuo area. The bridge's reflection in the water forms a complete circle amidst stunning karst landscapes. To reach this hidden gem, visitors can take a non-touristy bike ride from Shibanqiao village, located just north of Yangshuo. This authentic trail leads through old farm villages, lush green mountains, and scenic viewpoints overlooking the Yulong river valley.
Beautiful stone bridge with unforgettable sunsets. Not to be missed.
Alexandre F — Google review
Yulong village has a beautiful ancient stone arch bridge and is a good starting point for rafting trip down Yulong River. You can get there easily from Yangshou by taking buses north towards Guilin or Yangdi to the city of Baisha and then a local taxi, three wheeler or motorcycle taxi (at the only stoplight int he city). Yulong village is about four kilometers west of Baisha.

月亮山

Nature & Parks
Geologic Formations
Yangshuo is a scenic mountain town in southeast China famous for its water caves, hiking, and hot springs. The town is accessible by bus or train from Guangzhou.
The Moon Hill is a interesting mountain formation in the Yangshou area. The Moon Hill can be visited by walking 1.5km up a step set of stairs. The walk is pretty rough, but you dont need to be skilled. At the top theres a platform where you can se the whole mountain. The entrance fee is 11¥ pr person.
Simon G — Google review
The moon hill is one of its kind with a moon like hole in the middle, it looks interesting. You can walk up the hill, on the way there is a temple as well which is worth visiting. We went up on a hot and humid day but still going up the steps was not much effort. Worth visiting if you are in this area.
Vijay J — Google review
Went for the photo op. The town you start at is pretty blah but the photo that takes you a few minutes might be worth it.
Lang N — Google review
I really wanted to like this place. The photos that others posted made it look like a can't miss visit. Moon hill is a popular place. When we arrived we were approached by some ladies trying to sell us tickets and water. If that happens to you, you don't have to buy from them, keep going to the entrance. Buy a ticket from the office and then go inside. The path is all paved. It will take 20 to 30 minutes to get to the top. It can get slippery if it's raining or has just rained, so be careful. When we went the weather has hot and humid. We were sweating immediately. On top of that, there were a lot of mosquitoes. So bring water and use bug repellent. When we got to the top we were approached by another lady to buy refreshments. I felt like I couldn't relax with all the mosquitoes and the lady there. We went to the platform to take photos. It is beautiful, but without any wind and the constant mosquitoes, we quickly left. The best view of moon hill is actually at the entrance. There is a wooden platform across from the trail head. Climb up the stairs and you'll see Moon Hill. It is a great view! Come prepared so you can truly enjoy the experience.
Jerome B — Google review
Another great spot for taking photos and checking in. There isn't much else nearby to explore, but the scenery is beautiful. Free entrance
Wuan N — Google review
The Moon Hill is definately worth the 30min hike. I visited in early June and there weren't many tourists, it was very pleasant. The view from the top is truly amazing.
Michal K — Google review
The real deal beats all the pics hands down. It’s a steep climb up that will leave you breathless but there are seats to stop and rest on the way up. Very friendly old ladies at the top selling drinks too. Recommended!
Kelvin L — Google review
Recommend to come early before the crowd if you want to hike up. And bring the mosquito spray. It’s not an easy hike by the way. Lots of steps

Yangshuo Mountain Retreat

Hotel
Yangshuo Mountain Retreat is a slightly pricier option in Yangshuo, but it offers great value. It's popular among Asia expatriates, western couples, and families due to its spectacular scenery, outstanding food, and warm professional service. The hotel provides a relaxing experience with friendly staff and lovely views of the river. While the prices for food are higher than in urban China, the restaurant serves some of the best local cuisine at reasonable prices.
The best view in the world. Sit and enjoy a g & t and watch the rafts go by. Lovely touch they had a great western good choice as well when you feel home sick. Rooms were a little dated.
Anil H — Google review
A small beautiful 80s style Hotel. You will see lots of 80s instruments devices. Phone typewriter, TV and cameras. The rooms are nice and clean. They don't have a lift so you have to walk with your luggage to upstairs.
Arshad H — Google review
We had a beautiful time in this hotel after a beginners tour of China the week before. We could relax very well - prices are not as cheap as in the rest of urban China for food and we thought the food was not quite as authentic as in the little street restaurants we sampled before. But it's a nice treat with friendly staff. You are very close to the river with lovely views, some of the eco features need getting used to and the region can be hot and humid. However, you know that, don't you.
Andreas S — Google review
The best hotel experience in China for our family. Incredibly friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect, even getting us last-minute tickets. The room is simple but beautiful an immaculately clean, with lots of nice eco-friendly touches like refillable bottled water in glass containers and no throw-away amenities. The restaurant serves some of the best local food we had in Yangshuo at a reasonable price. Nice kid's menu as well. Very family friendly though we noticed lots of couples here as well.
Christopher B — Google review
The staff here is overly accommodating, helpful, friendly, and family oriented. We stayed here for 4 days in their family suite and cannot wait to come back! They are 5 star resorts that could take notes from this hotel! I recommend booking directly through their website for their additional offers, because we definently will next time! There's nothing these women can't do! Little Fish, we thank you from the bottom of our heart, and will love you forever for helping us make our stay unforgettable!
J — Google review
An absolutely stunning property with views to die for. The rooms are spacious, cosy, fully fitted with all amenities and with lovely balconies to while away a few hours gazing at the spectacular mountains right at the front of the property and crystal clear river below. Great food, lovely staff, environmentally and socially conscience owners and overall just a lovely lovely base from which to explore the region. Can not recommend enough.
Trisila C — Google review
Really nice staff and the location has great views. The food that they serve is also super tasty. We booked taxis through them and small trips around town and everything was reasonably priced. Made the trip worth while and relaxing. Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay away from the hussle and bussle
Shawn T — Google review
Be aware that the hotel is within the gated park area, with traffic restrictions from 8-5:30pm. It means your car can’t enter so are the taxis. Hotel could arrange transportation at premier cost. Without the arranged transportation, you really can’t go anywhere besides staying in hotel for every meal— average quality. Wished they would mention this so not wasting a pricy rental car.

Yangshuo Mountain Retreat

Mentioned on

Hotel
Nestled on the banks of the Yulong River and surrounded by stunning karst mountains, Yangshuo Mountain Retreat offers a unique stay with its bamboo-furnished rooms and private bathrooms. The hotel provides shuttle services to the city thrice daily, allowing guests to explore the area conveniently. Visitors rave about the warm reception they receive upon arrival, complete with homemade cookies and ginger tea.
We stayed here for one night during our stay in Guilin. It was a pure retreat and they did great service attending to our needs and the breakfast restaurant had great views over looking the river and all the bamboo boats passing. The bed had a heating matt which is a bonus point for me.
Maryam T — Google review
We had a lovely time here. Location was great (if you prioritise being in nature and scenery)- right along the Yulong River. We enjoyed walking and biking along the river. It was also close to a small, local village and a nice bike ride to Moon Hill, as well as Jima dock. However, it is a 20 minute drive away from West Street which is where you would find more restaurants and stores. We were limited in dinner options since we didn’t want to travel away from the neighbourhood in the evening; but the hotel restaurant was quite good. The hotel offered free bikes to rent and arranged electronic scooter rentals for 50 RMB a day. They also arranged personalised tours with private drivers who were all great; they helped us make trips to Xianggong Mountains and XingPing village. Though the property was slightly older, we enjoyed the rustic style. The rooms were still very clean with great air conditioning, and the view of the river and mountains was amazing from our balcony. The staff were so friendly and helpful too!
Gloria Y — Google review
A serene riverside escape with warm hospitality – but a mattress in need of mercy Nestled along the Yulong River, framed by the dramatic karst peaks that make Yangshuo so unique, the Yangshuo Mountain Retreat offers a setting that feels almost otherworldly. These steep, moss-green limestone formations rise like ancient sentinels from the lush landscape, while the gentle river winds past dense bamboo groves. Watching the bamboo rafts drift by from the privacy of one’s balcony is an experience in itself – especially when the mist clings to the peaks or the sky glows at sunset. The welcome here is every bit as warm as the scenery is striking. I was greeted with lemon tea and biscuits, and personally shown to my room – a spacious haven designed in the style of a traditional Chinese home. Dark wood furniture, intricate carved details, and a four-poster canopy bed created a romantic, almost nostalgic charm. The bathroom continued the theme, with a stone basin, bamboo accents, and both a regular and a rainfall shower (though the rainfall head could use replacing for a fresher look). Everything felt lovingly maintained, clean, and tidy. From the balcony, the view of the river and mountains was simply spellbinding. Wicker chairs invited lingering over tea or coffee – though here I must note that the in-room coffee came only in sweetened “2-in-1” sachets with powdered milk, which I personally find less appealing. In a country where unsweetened dairy products are rare, this may be a matter of local taste, but a basic black coffee option would be a welcome addition. A small but quirky omission was the lack of a stirrer or spoon – I ended up improvising with my toothbrush. The property embraces sustainability, offering refillable glass bottles instead of single-use plastic and providing complimentary bicycles to explore the surrounding countryside – a thoughtful touch in such an eminently bike-friendly region. The staff deserve particular praise. When I needed assistance with a travel restriction on carrying a power bank in China, they went above and beyond – making calls to the post office, checking regulations, and offering to handle the logistics entirely on my behalf. Though the solution proved impossible, the effort and genuine care left a lasting impression. Alas, my only true disappointment – and it is a significant one – was the bed. The mattress was extremely firm, essentially a thin topper (around 10 cm) over a hard base with no give at all. Even for those accustomed to firm beds, this was unforgiving. I resorted to layering all available pillows under the sheet to soften the surface, which helped a little, but in any hotel, sleeping comfort should not be compromised. For me, a poor night’s sleep undermines even the loveliest stay, and I would strongly encourage the hotel to consider investing in better mattresses or additional cushioning. Despite this, the Yangshuo Mountain Retreat remains an enchanting place to unwind – a slower, gentler counterpoint to busier parts of China. With scenery that stirs the soul, a palpable sense of place, and genuinely caring service, it is easy to understand why so many guests fall under its spell. If the bed were as inviting as the rest of the experience, it would be close to perfection.

The hotel’s location was simply fantastic! There are countless hotels in the area, including 5-star premium hotels from major international chains — more exclusive maybe but many of them are not as nicely located, darker, and more expensive. A big thank you to the management and staff!

Absolutely beautiful, right in front of the river and the caskets in the background. This is a sustainable hotel and they look after the environment which is a bonus! Food is good and reasonably priced. I would for sure stay there again!

My wife and I stayed at Yangshuo Mountain Retreat for 4 nights in September of 2023 and had a fabulous time. The food was excellent and the staff, many who spoke very good English, could not have been more helpful. We had a river view room and enjoyed watching the hundreds of rafters traveling down the river surrounded by the beautiful mountain peaks. We highly recommend this fine establishment and 4 days provided a good break for our 5 weeks of China travel. John and Haverly Hildreth Knoxville, TN, USA

I would give this hotel 100 stars rating if I could. I stayed here for one night and absolutely loved it. It is not the kind of fancy hotel with luxurious furnitures and treatments. It has way more to offer than that! When I arrived, the receptionists were so lovely and greeted me with their home made cookies and ginger tea, while they finished the registration. Their ginger tea is a must try when you visit this hotel. The room furniture style is more traditional but the bed mattress very comfortable. The room is separated from the reception building, little bit of walking needed, but not too far. The balcony and mountain view is just AMAZING. It was very special experience. The room is super clean and has all the toiletries, towels etc. I tried the dinner and breakfast at the local hotel restaurant. The dinner was very tasty cooked by Austrian cook. The cook was also very friendly and made some special dish on request. You can get some good western and chinese food, the cocktails are very good too. The hotel offers renting a bike for free anytime. You just pick it up and can ride a bike and explore the surrounding areas. There are enough bikes so no reservations needed. Also recommend to try the bamboo rafting near the hotel in case there is no rain. This hotel is one of the best hotels I have been to and would give it better rating than to a 5 star luxurious hotel. The staff is so lovely and always smiling and the location and atmosphere is so special. It feels like being a part of a local family. Regret not staying for longer than one night.

Highly recommended. This is likely the best value-for-money hotel in Yangshou. It has an awesome view of the river and mountains with no other buildings in sight. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and speak English well. The food is very good; the Chinese food is excellent and the Western food is very good for China. It’s clearly a favorite among foreigners, as probably 25% of guests during our stay were not Chinese. Book it.

Mingyuan Coffee

Mentioned on
1 list
Tea house
Mingyuan Coffee is a standout in the bustling western dining scene of Yangshuo. It offers a delightful selection of specialty coffee and confectioneries in a cozy environment. Situated by the riverside in a quieter part of town, this quaint establishment boasts lavish western furniture and an English-speaking owner. Visitors can savor delicious offerings like litsea coffee, pistachio basque cheesecake, osmanthus coffee, sandwiches, and croissants while admiring cute pottery for sale.
Nearby the Li river, across a nice view point is this quaint coffee shop. The owner speaks English, relief for me. We enjoyed the coffee! They had a wonderful osmanthus coffee. The sandwich and croissant are good as well. The decor was cozy and they sold cute pottery.

This is such an amazing cafe! River view and the vibes inside are so magical (like Ghibli world). We had brunch - matcha latte is great. I had osmanthus coffee (Gui hua = the glower of Guilin, so need to try!). Truly enjoyable ☺️✨
Saranporn S — Google review
Even in the thriving western dining scene of Yangshuo Mingyuan Coffee stands out for its wonderful selection of specialty coffee, confectioneries, and an incredibly cozy environment. I was staying at a hotel next door and could not resist when I passed by this quaint establishment. It is right by the riverside in a quieter part of the town. The coffee shop is decorated in lavish western furniture. I had a litsea coffee and a pistachio basque cheesecake. I thought the litsea coffee was a wonderful fusion coffee. The litsea is a herb that the Guilin people use heavily in their beer fish, but in coffee it gives a rounded, balanced spice. The pistachio basque cheesecake was quite good, but the litsea coffee was what was memorable. Highly recommend for your coffee break and instagrammable pictures.

We stopped by Ming Yuan Cafe on our way to West Street. Cozy little place except for a couple of mozzies, maybe due to the ongoing construction next door. The drinks and desserts were very good. Had their rose tea and the rest of my group had coffee. Great place to chill and rest up before continuing our walk. Was there in May 2019.

Very nice cafe amongst the touristy street. Extremely helpful staff who goes all out the way to help us get a cab back to Guilin hotel.

The accurate location is on Binjiang Road No. 23. Cozy atmosphere, western music. Two cappuccinos, 1 portion of pancakes and 1 portion of waffles is 140¥.

Black Pepper Indian Restaurant

Restaurant
Nestled along West Street, Black Pepper Indian Restaurant is a hidden gem that offers an authentic taste of India. Despite its unassuming exterior—partially transformed to showcase Indian clothing—the restaurant buzzes with energy and warmth. The owner, who hails from India, ensures a vibrant atmosphere filled with delightful aromas and flavors. Diners can indulge in a variety of dishes like butter chicken, chicken tikka, palak paneer, and flavorful biryani—all prepared to perfection.
Lovely service. The butter chicken was great, as well as the naan bread. Highly recommend, If you feel like good Indian food.

We had just about 45 mts so we went in and requested to be served fast. The lady brought out the menu, took our order and served our food in 15 mts. And the food was awesome. I had samosa chaat, the butter chicken. Naan was ok, maybe should have had rice. Both types of Lassi were delicious
S D — Google review
A lovely warm meal at an indian restaurant. The decor, ambiance, and the food was on point. I highly recommend it. Try the pani puri and the shrimp fried rice. The chicken korma was tasty too.
Maryam T — Google review
Great service. English menu and English speaking start. Besides Indian food, there is also more western food (burgers, nachos, nuggets, fries) 😊
Anne R — Google review
Food was okay - main course like butter naan, cheese naan, chicken biryani were amazing, but starters like onion bhaji and chicken chilly were pathetic. Staff was busy running around between the two restaurants they own and the service was bad. They couldn't even provide proper cutlery. Everything is expensive as the portion served is small. I am not coming here again 😒
Harish N — Google review
It’s not the best Indian food you will have in your life but if you are tired of Chinese food it’s an alternative. Not sure why people said it was the best Indian food they have so far- it’s a bit more expensive compare to the surrounding restaurants!
Rossella P — Google review
Delicious, love chinese food but wanted a change after 10 days in the country, I'm vegan so this felt like an easy choice and it was. Delicious dahl and garlic naan.

Airport offering numerous restaurants & a bus to Downtown Guilin, plus business & medical centers.
Terminal 2 is expected to get operational in October 2018. Liangjiang Airport had, at one time, during the late 20th century, been one of the top 10 airfields in China, yet Terminal 1 is outdated and worn down by decades of use. Guilin is ready for the fresh start, and T1 is going to get refurbished after T2 comes into use.

Nice. J-20 spotted?! Sleek design..but a bit too high in the sky

The airport is huge, beautiful and clean. Not so hard to get around here. There are many people here and most flights from here are domestic. The security is very tight and strict. The process is somehow quite draggy while not many staffs available. So you better be early otherwise it may be a long process or consequently you will miss your flight. Charging port available, lot of seat and waiting area. The worker is nice too. I took a bus from here to Guilin city and the ticket was bought from the counter at exit 6 arrival hall. Beside the bus ticket counter, there is also a tourism information centre where you can book some of the packages from here like Lijiang River Cruise and so on. Shout out to Mr Vincent for giving clear explaination on what to do and recommended activities in guilin. He is very nice and helpful.

Had my power banks confiscated at security since they didn’t have the Chinese CCC mark on them. I appreciate the rules and understand so I’m not complaining about that, but I said I would rather retrieve my luggage and take the train since the power banks cost more than double the price of the flight. They said they can send them on to my hotel instead. Spent ages giving them all the details they requested in good faith, but they didn’t post them as promised. I wish they had just been honest and allowed me to leave with my expensive items in tow.
