Nature & Parks
Nestled in the heart of Guiyang, Qianling Park is a stunning blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Spanning an impressive 426 hectares, this urban oasis features the iconic Qianling Mountain, renowned as the most famous peak in southern Guizhou Province. Visitors can immerse themselves in lush greenery while enjoying serene hiking trails that wind through ancient trees and past historic pagodas. The park is also home to playful wild macaques, adding a touch of wildlife charm to your adventure.
(Translated by Google) It is one of the main attractions of Guyang District. It can also be reached via buses located in various parts of the city. The cost of the ticket is really cheap: 5 yuan. For the cable car that takes you to the top of the hill where there is a temple there is another ticket. The park really covers a large area, it is the ideal place to be immersed in nature, walk or simply relax. It is very nice and clean. Recommended to come on a nice day. Both inside and outside you can find snack points where you can buy drinks or something to eat. It is very popular with locals. There is a beautiful zoo inside, with many species of animals, such as lions, many species of monkeys, leopards and also a reptile house. In many areas of the park there are many free monkeys, which live in the forest of the park. Be very careful to have bags with food in your hands because it could happen that some hungry monkeys could take it. There are also numerous local restaurants outside the park. It's truly a beautiful place. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! E' molto curato e pulito. CONSIGLIATISSIMO!!!

A public park where you can see monkey, panda, tiger and other animals. Wear comfortable shoes to walk around this park since one complete round will cover up to 5km walk and a bit of hike up.
Lilly S — Google review
Very nice park(黔灵公园) in the city. Only costed ¥5 to get in. Lots of trees that were hundred years old. Spacious relaxing squares inside the park for people just come and practice Taichi or dancing. Qianling (黔灵湖)is at the foot of the mountain. You can rent a boat and float around. Enjoy the nice cool Summer here. Climb to the mountain top is the Hongfushi ( 弘福寺). An old shrine that carries people’s prayers . When you heard the chanting accompanied by the low ring of bell, you could almost feel the connections between heaven and earth.
Jenn Z — Google review
The Qianling Shan Park is nice, but the location mark was completely wrong. The photo attached to this marking is for Quanling Shan Park. If using this marking, we ended up pay 40RMB extra. Plus, the taxi driver not even know that it is different tourist spot.

(Translated by Google) It's a nice park right in the city. There are a lot of people there during the Dragon Boat Festival. However, the scenic spot is very big and there aren't many people on the mountain. It's just a bit dangerous. Many of the fences are in disrepair. Watch out for monkeys and keep your distance. The scenery is indeed great. It would be even better if the weather is good, and the tickets are cheap, only 5 yuan. Qingyan Ancient Town is a must-see tourist attraction in Guiyang, located only an hour away. This 200-year-old town offers visitors a glimpse into its rich culture, architecture, traditions, arts, crafts and food. Its old houses, streets and shrines reflect the wealth of ancient times with intricate details on doors, roofs and brick roads.
An old town that has maintain its old town charm despite the commercialization. There are usual old town retails and eateries. A great place to wander around and explore the various curious. There is even part of the old city wall.
Julian W — Google review
This is an ancient town that deserves good attention. One can visit this place after popping by 夜郎谷, as it is nearby. Recommend to get there by e-hailing service. One will have to make a nominal fee payment to access the ancient town, a decision you will not regret. For those who have not visited the great wall in Beijing, this is just as good and not congested.
DENNIS T — Google review
A commercial ancient town full of ethnic characteristics. There are historical buildings about ethnicity and religion, and there are also many local snacks full of characteristics. However, there are many places full of commercial travel photography, which is worth a try.

This is one of the main tourist attraction in Guizhou Ptovince. It is quite impressive how china blend modernity with their culture. This is very big area. Actually ,it needs a full day to explore every thing. You can buy chinese souvenirs, flower tea and other goods here. Only motor bycicles an be used inside the premises.
Dasun — Google review
The old town is currently doing some revamping in order to get a 5A rating for tourist attraction. Even though it is rather commercialized, it's still worth a visit and night's stay. Come out early in the morning before most shops are open to enjoy the tranquillity of your walk around the town. There is also a wall surround the north and west of the town which you can climb for aerial view of the town. The rose products like rose sweets and rose syrup are very popular.糕耙稀饭 (Gao Ba Xi Fan) is a must try too.
Wai Y — Google review
Very relaxing on Monday. There's an entrance fee.

This was a nearby day trip for us. Once we finally found the city wall and old section inside it was much more interesting! Quite touristy but most of these old towns are. Gardens are not any where near as nice as Lijiang. The Le You Jue Guan Pub was very nice with the owner singing and playing guitar for us. Almost the only thing open late!

loved it! the atmosphere and wide selection of snacks and trinkets make this a must go for tourists visiting guiyang. i don't know why very many people complained about the lack of local cuisine as i got to try plenty of chinese delicacies here for a reasonable price (definitely not as cheap compared to actual street food, but still really cheap for delicious high quality food when converted into my currency). however it was really busy when i went, so lines were long and vendors were somewhat overwhelmed and mixed up my order (they helped me revise it). although really packed at night, i still felt very safe.

(Translated by Google) I don't think it's as delicious as what people say online. The toppings are delicious, but the noodles are not very flavorful. Maybe it's because I don't like noodles that much. (Original) 我觉得没有网上说的那么好吃。 浇头很好吃,不过粉并不是很入味。可能是因为我本身不是那么喜欢吃粉。

Too big for the actual requirements as are many many Chinese airports but they believe that big is impressive and it certainly helps their GDP so they invest in senseless things

A medium size airport surrounded by Mountains. Not very busy. Just enough for the city.

A smaller airport in China. Check in and security were all a breeze. The recently renovated T1 is nice and modern. T2 is also pretty nice and straightforward but a little dated. Wasn't very crowded.

Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport is an airport serving Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou Province in southwestern China. Guiyang Longdongbao Airport was opened on May 28, 1997 and adopted its current name on Jan 19, 2006. It is located 11 km southeast from Guiyang's city center. It is about 4 square kilometers and has a 3200-meter long, 45-meter wide runway, which can accommodate Boeing 747, Airbus A330 widebodied aircraft. The terminal is about 34000 square meters, available for over 2000 passengers departing and arriving per hour. Guiyang airport is an important hub in Southern China. I have flown to Thailand several times from this airport. All necessary and / or desired facilities are available. Perfect services.

Friendly English speaking staff available for directions. Good restaurant at the end of the terminal downstairs. It is alright if you have to sit in transit for a while, bring your own book unless you speak Chinese.
