Public beach
Nestled in the heart of Prince Edward County, Sandbanks Provincial Park is a stunning recreational oceanfront destination renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty. Home to the largest sand dune system in the world and a picturesque freshwater sandbar, this park offers an array of outdoor activities from April to October. With over 600 campsites available—ranging from fully equipped sites with electricity to more secluded walk-in options—there's something for everyone looking to immerse themselves in nature.
Sandbanks is an absolute gem and easily one of the most stunning beaches in Ontario. The sand is soft and clean, the water is clear and refreshing, and the shoreline seems to stretch forever. It’s the perfect spot whether you want to swim, sunbathe, or just take a relaxing walk along the beach. The dunes are gorgeous and make for great photo opportunities, and there’s plenty of space so it never feels overly cramped, even on busier days. The shallow, gentle waters make it ideal for families, while the wide open views are pure bliss for anyone looking to unwind.

The outlets beach is the most popular, with it's expansive, two-kilometre-long shoreline, soft, white sand and rolling waves, thousands flock here each summer. 750,000 of them, in fact. A day-use-only beach, you're required to book your visit in advance to guarantee entry, but it's worth it. There's a restaurant on site and many washrooms and changing rooms nearby. Plenty of parking but get there early for a good spot.

Sandbanks Provincial Park is an amazing spot for a picnic, a relaxing day at the beach, and swimming. The beach is entirely sandy with no rocks, making it ideal and comfortable for swimming. To enter the park, you’ll need to reserve or register in advance. The park is well-equipped with change rooms, bathrooms, and plenty of parking. There’s also lots of space to sit and relax near the water, whether you’re sunbathing, snacking, or just taking in the view. A perfect getaway for a summer day!
Shiva S — Google review
So beautiful. The camp sites are nice. Happy to hear the comfort station is getting an upgrade. Though I’ll doubt they will change the footprint, more stalls are needed. The bathroom is always busy with its proximity to the beach and all the camp sites. The sunsets are gorgeous. We always have a wonderful time here. Highly recommend!
Amy M — Google review
A stunning provincial park. The park itself is quite big. They have two park stores, a few trails and lots of beach space. We only stayed for a day but the campsites looked nice as well. Lots of friendly staff and endless beaches to explore.
Brent — Google review
Had a beautiful day at Sandbanks today. Made some great memories with family. Playing in the sand and in the water. The water was fantastic! Loads of parking and space on the beach. Highly recommend it if you haven't been.
Jason R — Google review
This was a wow experience, Desert in Ontario and I really mean it, miles of desert around, I went early morning like 9.30 AM, ensure to reserve a day pass from Canada Parks website, the beaches have basic facilities- clean washroom and changing rooms, lot of benches etc, and parking is near to the beaches.
Prasun G — Google review
Today was a wonderful day at the Dunes Beach!! Blue sky, clear water, not too busy for a summer Friday, and a positively awesome experience. We have been to Outleat and Lakeshore Beaches in previous years, and even then, this park does not disappoint! Waves can be fun, but wind gusts were only up to 15km/h instead of 40km/h, which made it suitable for paddleboarding on the water. It's about 500 meters from Dunes Trail parking to the shore. However, paddling on the shore is much easier for finding beach space than treading on the deep, hot sand anyway! The beach is so nice and clean despite all the negative fishy news circulating on social media. Be ready for sand, lots of it! We are planning for more trips this summer!

Outlet Beach is a charming swimming spot located on the shores of Lake Huron. It offers a picturesque beach area, diving docks, and a historic snack shack dating back to 1782. Families will appreciate the warm shallow waters with a gentle drop-off, making it perfect for swimming. The beach faces westward, providing stunning sunset views over Lake Ontario. With clean sandy shores and inviting water, it's an ideal destination for families seeking a classic summer beach experience.
Beautiful beach to visit. Spacious and limited crowd due to advance limited booking. Nicely managed by local park team. Good for all age people. Shallow and enough clean water. Washroom facility on site, nearby. Daily pass runs for a day, reasonable and free if canoo member.
Harikrushna P — Google review
What a beautiful long beach with washrooms and plenty of parking and seagulls and security guards. But there is a lot of green sludge as you enter the lake water which is pretty gross but does not seem to deter anyone else from swimming lol
Sabrina K — Google review
Fantastic beach ! Super clear water and super clean beach. Soany great memories and great for the family
Franco L — Google review
A beautiful beach for sunset watching. Of the three beaches in Sandbanks this was the most popular and busiest. They have a shop and a lovely restaurant and grill near by. Some decent parking and a few change rooms. Good place if you want a busy beach experience.
Victoria L — Google review
Clean, spacious beach situated between toronto and montreal. Day parking costs 21$ per car, need to book the parking pass in advance. There are food options available near beach, but nothing on the beach itself. Water is shallow and nice for kids.
Navrang D — Google review
The outlet beach is a great beach for families including young children as the water doesn't get deep for a while.
Jessica — Google review
It’s a beautiful beach. But 🙃 I visited the beach with my dog so we went to the dog area which is very beautiful, but unfortunately dogs has to be on leash. It doesn’t make any sense to take the dogs there if they can’t be off leash I found it abuse so we didn’t stay long. The washroom is very far and also the restaurant. I wish they would rent umbrellas with beach chair. Overall it’s a beautiful beach to visit with friends and family

Sandbanks Dunes Beach in Prince Edward County offers a picturesque setting with the world's largest freshwater sand bar and dune system. The undulating landscape behind the beach is perfect for exploration, leading to the warm and inviting West Lake. Visitors can enjoy fine sand, clear waters, and uncrowded surroundings due to limited access. The area provides opportunities for hiking on the dunes and stunning views from the top.
Amazing beach. There is parking right beside the beach. Great amount of space and such a beautiful view. Best to obtain day pass in advance especially during the weekend as the park may be full. The day passes must be displayed on the car and the park office can help to get it printed if bought online.

This is a great little beach. Plenty of spots to swim with the backdrop of the dunes. There is a comfort station, a canteen, a kids play ground and plenty of parking. Great for a day trip - this is the only sandbanks beach that’s open to the public without a park pass. There is a great trail that brings you from the surrounding campgrounds, if you are staying at the park. The dunes are really quite a highlight and very interesting to explore. Really, a natural wonder and a great beach if you have kids. Mostly because the water is very shallow and warm and there is just lots of room for them to explore and play. Catch some great views of Lake Ontario and West Lake
Victoria L — Google review
The Dunes are very cool! Lots of places to walk, explore and take some great photos. I'm not too sure about swimming in that body of water, as it has some mossy areas and foam. It also has a pretty quick and steep drop off, from shallow to deep. They warn everyone about that quite frequently with signage and it's pretty obvious when you look in the water. Washrooms were pretty clean, considering the amount of people visiting. You have to check out the Dunes if you are in the area. Out of the 3 main beaches, its Lakeshore #1, The Outlet #2 and The Dunes #3 for me. 👍🏾
N R — Google review
Sandbanks Provincial Park exceeded my expectations. The sand dunes are absolutely beautiful and brought back memories of the beaches back home in New England. The combination of soft sand, clear water, and natural beauty makes this a must-visit spot. I do think being here in the shoulder season made it extra special. I’m sure it’s a very different experience in the summer.
Erica C — Google review
Sandbanks dunes is a beautiful place. It's quiet, peaceful and you can hear the birds singing. The trail leads through a forest full of beautiful nature. The view from the dunes is stunning.

Stopped by Sand Dunes beach today. The weather was beautiful and the water was lovely. The beach isn't as nice as the other Sandbanks Provincial Park beaches. It was muckier and not as much room.
Jason R — Google review
Beginning of the season was chilly. Be careful with children and non-swimmers since no lifeguard is present. Warnings included a sudden drop in water depth. Includes several boardwalks as part of the Dunes Trail (which is majority sandy), a play structure for kids and washroom facilities.

Nestled on a limestone hill in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Slake Brewing is a modern farmhouse-style brewery offering stunning panoramic views of the region. The spacious outdoor property features fire pits, picnic tables, and seating arrangements for visitors to enjoy while sipping on their crisp lagers and ales. With a focus on using 100% Ontario malt for their barrel-aged and mixed-fermentation beers, this brewery also boasts a working farm and modern architecture.
Beautiful views and crispy brews! The highlight of this spot is most certainly the atmosphere. The brewery sits on at the top of the hill and has large windows which gives a beautiful view of the sunset and surrounding area. We tried a few beers all were great. We also bought the tacos, but they were not as delicious as we had hoped. Ultimately, a great space serving up pints and I can’t wait to visit again!

What a crazy find. This place is just south of Picton with nothing around it but farms and nature. Add to it a building that sits atop a hill with large windows facing west for some killer sunset views. The outdoor seating area is also spectacular. I had the Super Sunset Pale Ale and even took a few home. An excellent beer! Also the fellows at the food stand inside near the bar were very friendly. And they make a pretty damn good Quesadilla! Truelly this place is like nothing I've ever been to in Canada, very unique! I highly recommend coming out here.

This spot is amazing! Located on a hill top the view is stunning! There's plenty of places outside and even inside with a complete window wall. Beers were really good and the orange wine was perfect. Couple of games outside and kids friendly. Lovely ❤️

🍺 New favourite spot! Just discovered this gem and I’m impressed — great beer, super friendly staff, delicious tacos, and an amazing view. Perfect place to relax and enjoy a local brew. I’ll definitely be back! 🍻

We're so happy someone recommended this brewery to us! After a day of wine tasting, this was just the vibe we needed to end the day! The view is stunning, the beer was great with lots to choose from, and the tacos were perfect!

What a gem! Nestled atop a limestone hill on a working farm, Slake Brewing offers striking panoramic views of Prince Edward County—especially amazing at sunset . The modern taproom and spacious patio—complete with fire pits and lawn games—create a relaxed, welcoming vibe, perfect for gathering with friends (or even furry pals!)
Pierrick D — Google review
The service was great, very hospitable and welcoming. We got to try a little of everything before making a decision which is always nice. The beers are top notch and the atmosphere is very chill, no pressure to leave or order quickly. Great beer selection and amazing staff, will be back next year ⭐️
Nelly P — Google review
Brilliant brewery tucked away on a hill in the country side. Never had so many clean drinking beers in my life, enjoyed just about everyone we tried. The prices are a little on the high side but the quality is there and so is the venue. Tons of seating inside and out, lots to do in thd adjacent field for kids or older parties alike. Would definitely recommend hitting them up for sunset as if your lucky for the weather, the view is worth the price and more. A hidden gem of a brewery.

Very cute and great for wine tastings! And the closest winery to the downtown. Highly recommend and have great places to taste, walk and eat some pizza

Wines were alright. Highly recommend trying the balsamic wine vinegar and wood fired pizzas. Had the vinegar with their Americiana Pizza and their Aloha Pizza (both had perfect, wood fired crusts).

Absolutely love their vinegars, free tasting and they make the best dressings. Come all the way from Toronto to buy them. We didn’t try their wines this time. Dog friendly patio area.
Tracy V — Google review
I’ve been several times now and purchase both wine and their amazing vinegars. It’s my go to place to bring family and friends when visiting PEC. Friendly unpretentious servers with a wealth of knowledge. Wood fired pizza and disc golf available. Lots of seating.
Michelle F — Google review
Such a wonderful experience. We tasted the wines and vinegars I have to say. The wines are really good but the vinegars are over the top. Marty and I bought wine and vinegar. Then we had a wonderful fire wood meat lovers pizza. Absolutely delicious. A must place to visit.
Hope Y — Google review
The place is quite cute, and they offer a wide variety of pizzas. The pizzas are wood-fired, and there’s even a vineyard behind the restaurant. The staff in the wine area are really friendly. They also have a nice combo — one pizza and one glass of wine for a reasonable price. The pizza takes about 10 minutes to come out. Everything was great. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in PEC.

Two friends and I visited the Black Prince Winery today and had a great experience! We had the pleasure of being served by Evan for our Wine tasting and he made it so fun! He was knowledgeable in the wines and a great conversationalist! We would definitely come back based on our experience today!

Nestled in the charming downtown of Picton, Books & Company Ltd is a delightful sanctuary for bibliophiles and casual readers alike. This independent bookstore boasts an impressive array of new and used books, alongside an engaging selection of games, toys, puzzles, stationery, cards, and magazines. It's the perfect spot to escape on a rainy day or simply to unwind with a good read.
Fantastic book store that has something for everyone. In addition to the fantastic selection of books, there were gift items, puzzles, board games, greeting cards, and so much more! I appreciate that this store is laid out well so didn’t feel claustrophobic like some book stores.

Cute bookstore with a wide selection of puzzles, games, knickknacks, cards, gifts, and books. Great place to drop by if you're looking for a board game or puzzle to play at the cottage or a local postcard. The book selection itself was a little lacking.

The County Canteen in Picton is a renowned restaurant known for its commitment to local, sustainable, and delicious food. It is part of the Taste Trail in Prince Edward County, offering a diverse menu featuring American classics and international cuisine. The restaurant's patio provides a beautiful view of the downtown area, making it an ideal spot for both family-friendly dining and intimate date nights.
My family and I stopped by this place and had a lovely experience. Our server Tamara was very kind and accommodating to my mother who couldn't have any gluten. She also shared lots of information to help us plan our trip. The food was also delicious. They also have live music on Fridays and the weekends. I highly recommend this place.

We came here on Victoria Day, and were quickly seated on the patio. The service was good but the food was just okay. Ordered the full nachos, the serving size was very small and it was served a bit cold. We also ordered the brisket sandwich and the mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the brisket was salty for my taste, and the mac and cheese was bland.

We tried their burgers and Nachos! Burgers were great, fries were fresh, nachos could have been better! Good place to visit for a heavy meal:) service was great - anything we asked for was accommodated with a smile, I loved that part:) will revisit to try more of their menu:)

Right in the heart of Picton. Excellent seating. Inside seems like a good atmosphere but we sat in the little indoor/outdoor area, I don't know what to call it but it was a great space outside but completely covered with heaters set up if it did get a little cool. They also have a few sidewalk patio seats which is nice. Service was fine. Very good drink selection. We had the nachos and they were excellent. We got them with the braised beef and would choose something else next time as it just wasn't for us but worth a try. The Cubano Rolls were a favorite. A completely different flavor for us and were a very nice surprise. We also shared the county Philly and although the bread was delicious, it did fall apart very easily with the mess of a sandwich so was just a messy eat but still delicious. We absolutely loved the herb blend on the fries and dipped them in garlic aioli which was amazing. We will definitely be back.

There are different activities almost every day of the week. So there should good ambiance most of the time. The food is good. They are very generous with their ribs. You won't walk out of there hungry after eating that. The service is friendly and efficient. We sat at the bar and had a very good time. Great place to be at if you pass info by the area. The prices are also very reasonable. Cheers to the staff!

The County Canteen catered our wedding on July 16, 2022 at Cherryvale Weddings. We were primarily in contact with Scott Gregor, the owner of the restaurant. Scott and his team went above and beyond and we were so thankful for all they did to make our day so special. First off, the food was absolutely incredible. At our tasting before the wedding, Scott introduced us to many items on his menu and we were able to choose anything that sounded yummy to us – which was literally everything! Along with this, we told him about a gnocchi dish we both loved from a restaurant where we had one of our first dates. Scott got as much information as he could about this recipe, and recreated it for us so that we could serve it as a side dish for our wedding! It was absolutely perfect. Our guests keep raving about how amazing the food was – especially that gnocchi. Scott has a few different dinner options, and we ended up going with the family style. This meant we were able to have a variety of different options, and our guests did not have to choose what to eat as it was all laid on the table. On the day of our wedding, Scott and his team were so attentive to our guests. During cocktail hour, Scott’s team listened to what each guest really enjoyed, and would continue to deliver more of that item directly to where each group was located. They also set up a hydration station, which had 3 different jugs of fruit-infused waters. During dinner, they continued to make sure our guests were comfortable and were well-fed. One of our friends who is celiac and is very careful about what she eats, had a question about the wine being gluten free. One of the waiters heard this question and took it extremely seriously, contacting the winery right away so that our friend felt safe having some table wine. In addition to this, she felt very comfortable with the food, as she really appreciated being plated separately and did not have to worry about cross-contamination. Another guest of ours had another major allergy, as she cannot consume any cow-protein. She asked a question to one of the waiters, and immediately they knew who she was. Scott personally went over to talk with her and also plated her separately so that she could eat safely and comfortably. Everyone who witnessed these two experiences were thoroughly impressed by the thought, care and cautiousness that was put into this. Overall, the County Canteen made every transition so smooth and everyone was so organized. Every time an announcement was made, the team was ready to go. We had so many people checking in with us and our guests throughout the entire day to ensure we were staying hydrated and were eating well. We highly recommend the County Canteen!

We visited the County Canteen for dinner last night. It's a popular place and was a full house when we arrived at 7pm. You can't make reservations but they put us on a waiting list and called an hour later to say our table was ready. The service was great - Candace was our server and she was attentive, helpful and friendly. The fish tacos were quite possibly the best I've ever tasted. They were plentiful and the fish was delicious! My husband loved his chicken burger and local craft beer. The live entertainment was great too. I can't remember the entertainer's name but he was very talented on the piano and we enjoyed a good sing along!

So glad we went in!!! We go to Picton often and we walk by this place a fair bit and the smell drew is in like that floating bit you see in cartoons!!😂😂 A nice quaint cottage like looking atmosphere. Greeted right away by Chris who was our host and server for our experience and was just awesome 😎 Super nice guy, knew his stuff, definitely added to the whole thing in a great way. The food was superb!! We got the Reuben eggrolls which blew us away!! Who'd have thought this would work!!! Totally did, flavour flavour flavour!!! Crispy and you got the whole shebang of a Reuben in it!! We ordered the Gnocchi with kale and goat cheese and the full rack of ribs with slaw and fries. Everything was done to perfection!!! Tasteful overdrive! Nothing was dry, nothing overdone or tacky. The coleslaw was unlike any other I've had! I love coleslaw and this one topped it!! It was a red wine or sherry vinegar base with it and fresh pepper. Not sure but it's one of the best I've had. The fries sprinkled with thyme allowed them to pop with flavour though on their own they were great!! The ribs weren't over sauced or dry, pull apart goodness and the right amount of smokiness to them. The gnocchi with the goat cheese was melting in your mouth good!! A beautiful concoction of flavours that played off each other that left no disdain of an aftertaste which strong flavours can sometimes do. This place is a great location you have to stop by and try!! We're definitely going back!!!!

The ambience was super cute and full of personality (and it had many accessibility features), and Ms Jenny is a cheerful and welcoming person, which adds to the experience. Overall a perfect meal in a perfect place! Would come back every day if I could!!!

10 stars out of 5! The most deliciously fresh, melt in your mouth sushi you could ever hope to have. Highly recommend! Very nice, clean and welcoming layout. The owner clearly takes great pride and rightly so, she is most wonderful and the kindest lady we've ever met!

Was looking for an Asian restaurant in the town and found this gem! Loved the vibe inside and the owner was very kind and sweet. We ordered two different sushi and a spicy beef udon with kimchi on the side. All the menus were super tasty and extra fresh. Highly recommend! Will 100% revisit when we are back in PEC ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍🏻

An adorable and hidden gem! Was craving Japanese food and this place was perfect. She was super friendly and accommodating. The place itself is decorated thoughtfully and well-looked after, with a fun variety of drinks and snacks / ingredients / cutlery and other miscellaneous items for sale. I had their bento box - super filling and fresh - the sweet potato noodles especially did not disappoint. So delicious and I’ll definitely come again when I’m back in Prince Edward County!

We love Dive In Charm!! The food is always fresh and everything is delicious! Placing an order is easy and when we go in to pick-up, we are always greeted with a big smile and are made to feel welcome. If you're in the County and looking for great sushi, I highly recommend checking out Dive In Charm. (I can never get a photo of everything because we end up eating half of our meal on the way home 🤣)

The avocado rolls are very generous in terms of the amount of avocado. Very friendly service, too. Great little takeout place.

Baileys Casual Dining in Picton, ON is a popular spot among locals for its delicious brunch offerings. The casual diner offers a variety of breakfast combos and additional eats, ensuring that you'll leave feeling satisfied. In addition to the inviting indoor space, there's also a lovely outdoor patio where you can enjoy your meal in the warmer months. This family-owned business is known for its friendly service and generous portions at reasonable prices.
Wow—what a gem of a place in Picton! We stopped in for breakfast and were absolutely blown away by the exceptional service, delicious food, and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Every staff member we encountered was not only super attentive and friendly, but also genuinely authentic—you can tell they love what they do. The portion sizes are enormous (in the best way possible). I went with Breakfast #6, which typically comes with bacon, ham, and sausage, but I asked for just sausage—and they delivered six sausages! I couldn’t finish it all, so I ended up taking some home. Bonus: breakfast for tomorrow is sorted. If you’re anywhere near the Picton area, this place is an absolute must-visit for breakfast. You really can’t go wrong.

Had breakfast at Bailey’s and it was pretty decent. It’s a super casual diner – nothing fancy, but a good spot if you want something quick and filling. The food was your typical diner breakfast – eggs, sausage, home fries, toast, and eggs Benny. Nothing over the top, but it tasted good and did the job. Prices are fair, and it’s nice that they open early at 6:30 AM if you’re up and about early. Service was alright – not amazing, but not bad either. Overall, just a chill place to grab a basic breakfast if you’re in the area.

If your looking for a good bacon and egg breakfast, this is a place to go. We passed through Picton on our trip through southern Ontario and this was a recommended google spot. We missed pancakes and waffles all day breakfast on Sundays by one day. Good food, no frills, good value. And Marianne is great!

Very good. Waitress was friendly. Food was tasty. Slightly costly.

I ordered the 1/2 portion eggs Benedict - very happy they have this option on the menu. They also offer you the choice of bacon, sausage or pemeal. I chose bacon. When my food arrived I was very disappointed to find one slice of bacon. I didn't feel I got value for money. The food was delicious.

We were passing through and noticed this place was busy for a Thursday, so we backtracked to try it out. Amelia, our server, was attentive and polite. The food was very good, and my eggs were cooked perfectly. We would definitely recommend this place.

Blumen Garden Bistro is a delightful culinary haven that beautifully marries seasonal inspiration with contemporary dining. Nestled just minutes from Downtown Picton, this charming bistro offers serene outdoor seating amidst a stunning mature garden—perfect for enjoying lunch on sunny days. As evening falls, the ambiance transforms into an elegant setting where guests can savor dishes influenced by the chef's Swiss roots and South American adventures.
As always Bluemen provides a wonderful experience start to finish. With a small but tasty and well executed menu, the food is superb. Beautiful outdoor garden seating areas are just another perk. Very lucky to have such a great place in Picton. Ordered the lamb, ribeye, mains and duck meatball and chickpea fries for appetizers. All were great!

Had dinner there last night as a group of 4. What a great place to eat. First, their service was excellent our server friendly, attentive, and very lovely. Cocktails fantastic. The wine selection was small but very lovely local and other wines. We had of course the Chickpea fries, what am I telling you, amazing. They are that good that we ordered two orders. We also had the pork belly -Tuna, and Crab cakes. All excellent. As a main, we had the steak, the lamb, and the vegetarian dish and I would rank it as excellent and very enjoyable. Desert creme brûlée and Strawberry Rhubarb cake. Again, excellent and tasty. So overall, a wonderful dining experience, very friendly staff, lovely environment and all of that for a reasonable price. We all highly recommend Blumen.

From making the reservations to the meal itself the experience at Blumen's was fantastic. Our first anniversary was made perfect by the fantastic meal at Blumen's. All items on the menu made our mouth water and sounded delicious, it made for a very difficult choice on selecting what to have. Staff were extremely helpful in selecting beverages, and giving insight to meal selections. The venue itself was intimate and cozy, we were seated on the back deck which was a very cozy spot to enjoy the meal. Starters for the evening included tartare and stuffed squid. After hemming about the mains we settled on the lamb and duck, and we were not disappointed at all. Each bite was full of rich flavours that we attempted to savour for as long as we could. Finishing the meal was the creme brule which was the perfect end to the evening. Reasonably priced for an excellent meal, it made perfect sense as well to get a round for the kitchen, (great option on the menu!). Overall a restaurant we will be returning to again.

A great option for fine dining in the country. We were there wore thanksgiving as a three generation family. Our table loved the rabbit gnocchi. The grouper was also a hit. Would definitely be back.

This was my favourite place in Picton! The service was outstanding and the food was out of this world. The price was really reasonable considering the food quality and the presentation. My husband and I shared every appetizer on the menu as a main meal ! We had our server pair a few wines from PEC. The whole experience was mesmerizing.

Superb cuisine! Each item on the menu is a excellent! Such an array of different flavours on each plate! Highly recommend 😊👍

The food was fantastic, compliments to the chef! I ordered a special not typically on the menu, pork tenderloin cooked per chef's recommendation with green beans, spaetzele with a buttery bourginion, and kholrabi coleslaw. Everything was excellent. Booking here can be difficult, it seems to be a very popular spot so give yourself time to get a spot and book a few days in advance.

Parsons Brewing Company, founded by Chris and Samantha Parsons, is a family-run brewery, bottle shop, restaurant, and taproom located just a short drive from The Royal. The brewery offers a diverse selection of beers ranging from refreshing summer suds to more wintery options. Their Latin American-influenced food menu features local ingredients and is designed to complement their naturally unfiltered brews.
Parsons Brewing Company is always our first stop when we arrive in Prince Edward County, and for good reason — it’s everything you want in a PEC experience. The setting is charming, welcoming, and quintessentially County, with rustic buildings, wide-open space, and thoughtful touches throughout. The beer is consistently excellent, with a great variety on tap to suit any taste. Whether you're into hop-forward IPAs, crisp lagers, or something more seasonal and creative, they always have something fresh and exciting — which makes it a great place to bring friends with different preferences. The food is delicious. Yes, prices can be on the higher side, but the portion sizes and quality completely justify it. Everything we’ve tried has been well-executed, fresh, and full of flavour — a proper meal, not just an afterthought to the beer. What really sets Parsons apart is how much there is to do year-round. In the winter, the outdoor hockey rink and cozy campfires make it such a fun and unique spot. In the summer, the games and expansive outdoor area create the perfect laid-back vibe. Parsons is more than a brewery — it’s an experience. A must-visit every time!

The place is very beautiful to look and completely instagramable. Good place with cozy vibes but food and drink wise I think it is expensive and quantity of food is quiet less. I see the attraction it has. We had passed it on the way and it was so attractive that we changed out route while driving back so that we could stop here. So maybe a one time experience for sure.

Great wait staff and ambiance. This was our second visit in the evening and it feels magical with the soft patio lights. Definitely a family and dog friendly spot. The brew we chose was pricier than most we had in the County

I would have visited here every weekend if it were close to Toronto. The food was perfect - I literally smiled at my first bite of the burger, and the beers were so good that we ended up buying a few bottles at the shop. Very friendly staff and a nice ambiance, with the firepit to keep you warm. We ended up going here because the other restaurant we originally planned to try was full, but this turned out to be the luckiest thing that happened to us during our trip to Prince Edward County.

We had such a great time at Parsons Brewery! 🍻 The beer selection was fantastic — we tried the Mango Lassi beer (yes, you read that right!) and it was surprisingly delicious. We also ordered tacos and empanadas, both super tasty, and the smash burger was absolutely amazing. The place has a great ambience, perfect for hanging out with friends or family, and there are lots of nice spots for pictures around the property too. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Picton!

Best coffee in Prince Edward County! The shop is super cute and cozy, the staff is incredibly friendly, they have lots of seating, and the coffee is delicious. My girls and I had a bachelorette weekend and for our last day (Sunday) we decided to stroll around before heading home. After brunch we wanted coffee to bring for the road and decided to support local since the inside of the store looked nice. This was around 2pm and one of my girl’s order had been made incorrectly by your male staff. (Sorry not sorry, the way he acted was not something a barista should do and I take pride in my history as a barista and never in my 5 years did I and would I act the way he did to a customer so I will not be calling him that since he does not deserve it) My girl had explained to him what her order was and he had ASSUMED that she wanted an iced drink and when she reiterated that she never said she asked for a cold drink, your male staff started giving her attitude and CHUCKED the coffee grounds at my girls direction. Some grounds hit her btw but she did not say anything, even to us, until we had left your establishment. If you cannot admit and take accountability for a mistake you made, the least that you can do is ask someone else to do it for you and not lash out at your customers. It was a very unprofessional behaviour coming from a local shop that we decided to support as visitors to your county. This place might be nice to its locals since it’s got a high rating but unfortunately not very kind to visitors. I hope you train your staff better so that nobody else will have to experience that kind of disrespect my girl experienced. He was lucky we are very civilized people and not some Karen who would’ve made a scene right then and there. Very disappointing and will not recommend this shop to my followers and circle of friends.

Super cute coffee x bike repair shop! Food and drinks are really great (esp recommend the breakfast sandwich and the brownie) and there is a lot of seating. Awesome vibes and cute decor, too! There’s also a little kiddie play area (which I’ve never seen at a coffee shop before)! Looking forward to coming back next time I’m in the area :)

Loved the Tuna Gouda Meld on rye bread 🍞. Highly recommend it. We also had the Smoked Salmon on rye and it was delicious. There's some seating for maybe a dozen people between front and back of the shop. We loved the kids area play pen. Great for visits with kids for parents. We weren't on bikes but saw that the back area has a bike repair shop. Could be good for bike tour shop pivot points for bike adventures thru PEC. I'd recommend checking it out on your visit!!

The Regent Theatre in Picton is a historic gem with a stunning neon-lit marquee and an art-deco design that dates back to 1918. Managed by The Regent Theatre Foundation, this community-based non-profit has meticulously restored and maintained the venue, offering live performances, new and classic films, as well as international fine arts programs. Located on Main Street, it serves as a vibrant center for the arts in the county.
From movies to musical acts to other special events, The Regent brings a wide range of arts & entertainment to the Prince Edward County community, and for this I am grateful. We enjoy the opportunity to see movies that range from wide-release titles to one-night only limited release films. Also appreciate the variety of musical acts that we have been fortunate to enjoy at this venue. Fantastic snack bar as well that is licensed and includes a selection of wines, beers, ciders, and coolers.
Laurie H — Google review
Lovely refurbished historic theater. Too bad the old 'ticket window' was closed during covid and never reopened. Staff was incredible. No hassle pre-booked entry. Really enjoyed the snack bar, we got popcorn and drinks. Seating was comfortable but not having cup holders does make it somewhat awkward. Screen size has been kept small, perhaps the original size when it was adapted to see motion pictures? Wish I could say the movie was as good. I would say the worst Superman movie of them all.
Don M — Google review
We attended the show called "a perfectly reasonable night of comedy". The participants were definitely experienced in the craft of comedy. My partner and I felt that the performers were not prepared well-enough and that there were actually awkward moments between them. It was difficult to hear each performer at times because they were all talking at once. The podcast idea was a great one, although the execution was a little awkward. It would be great to see Carolyn and the rest of the Baroness von Sketch team in the future.

Nestled in the charming town of Picton, the Millennium Lookout offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. Perched on a hill, it provides breathtaking views of the city below and allows visitors to bask in tranquility. The lookout is an ideal spot for stargazing, away from urban light pollution. Visitors can also enjoy the peaceful sound of church bells echoing through the town.
Great view and tribute to the history of the area.

When it was first built no doubt the view was amazing but 20 plus years later the trees have grown and the view is mostly blocked. No picnic tables, no toilet. Just an open space
Dave P — Google review
It is a lovely spot with a great view. But unfortunately, there isn't one tree for shade. It is extremely hot in our climate now. Would have been lovely to sit on a bench and enjoy the view in some shade but there was none.So this is really just a quick stop on your way to somewhere better
Nicole C — Google review
Interesting spot to read about the history of the surrounding area. Unfortunately, in the summer the shrubs and trees block your view completely. Might be better to visit before the leaves start to grow. Would be nice if they were to build a look out tower to climb up.
Candice A — Google review
At some point this would've been a fantastic look out but unfortunately the tree growth has blocked most of the views. Funny (but also sad) you can see well is the Giant Tiger sign. There is a small display that is set up to provide background on the Prince Edward County area. It has an unpaved and small parking lot but is a short walk along a paved path to the look out point and plaques.
L M — Google review
The tall trees cover the lookout view, so there is hardly anything to see. On the way to the lookout, there are some other spots from where you can get a better view.

Place is not high enough to serve as a look out, but if you really can’t find anything better to do. Give a try. Down hill there is an old church and historic house worth to take a look open at 1:00 PM

Birdhouse City is a popular natural reserve located in Prince Edward County, offering a relaxing and enjoyable day out for visitors. Established in 1980, it provides various outdoor recreational activities within the Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area just outside of Picton. The main attraction is the trail featuring over 100 unique miniature birdhouses, each with its own design and theme.
Amazing place, far exceeded our expectations. There's about 50 creative birdhouse to explore, along a well maintained path. Definitely recommend this as a stop - its short and unique, fantastic work by folks who maintain this.
Artem S — Google review
When I planned to visit birdhouse city I did not expect it be so badly maintained . The bird houses are very cute and I would have enjoyed the place a bit more if some effort had been put to cut the grass and remove the weeds at least. It looks a bit eerie and unkept. If that was the vibe they were going for then good job. I saw small snake as well on the way up. So please be careful.

This place is way beyond my expectations. It is super cute, and i feel like recommending this place to Amazong Race Canada, as hunting for Massassauga Park Hotel was a fun task!🤭

The amazing Birdhouse City is a miniature community of whimsical hand-crafted birdhouses depicting the unique character, culture, and history of Prince Edward County. Each birdhouse rests high on its own platform and pole and provides a safe place for birds to nest in. Located at the Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area just outside of Picton, the City offers a one-of-a-kind, outdoor experience for people of all ages. I especially loved the Mustang Drive-In which is playing “The Birds” by Alfred Hitchcock! Paths are cut into the grass and the houses are about 12’ high. A tiny bit buggy. It is managed by volunteers in partnership with Quinte Conservation. Allow a minimum of 20 minutes for your visit. The site is a couple acres. It is said there are over 100 charming birdhouses! Parking (paid) is available on site, but I recommend a visit to the Macaulay Heritage park first. You can find the tombstone of William Pierce - Died Feb 31st !? And see the magnificent Georgian house. There is a FREE parking lot on the right of the house. Behind the small barn is a path through the forest which will lead you to Birdhouse City in under 15. It is extremely well-maintained and has benches. You can extend your visit to include a hike. Make sure you include this stop on your visit to PEC!
Jen H — Google review
Fun little diversion. The path isn’t clearly marked so we walk the same areas a couple times. Very interesting place.
Bill B — Google review
Super cute place to walk around. The tick notice scares people but the area is mowed so it's not too dangerous if you stay out of the tall grass. I hope the parking fees go to the upkeep of the birdhouses as they are very pricey for the area. Nice area to walk around.
Jessica D — Google review
Hands down one of my favourite parts of my trip to Prince Edward County. It is an approximate 5 minute drive from Downtown Picton. The hand-crafted birdhouses are all adorable and I appreciated how they paid homage to Prince Edward County. The birdhouses are situated on a well maintained grassy hill. While there were other people walking through, it is a large enough walking path that you can pass people easily. It's fun walking through and hearing all of the birds communicating with each other. It's evident how much passion the volunteers have for maintaining the area. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area!

This was such a beautiful place with several trails to hike. The main trail took us about an hour and a half to complete and it was fairly easy. You do have to watch out for a steep hill you need to go up at the beginning but after that, you’ll come across such beautiful forests. Parking is $5 paid online and when we went, there weren’t that many people. Perfect place to go on a peaceful hike.
Hannah H — Google review
What a beautiful spot! Very picturesque. It has plenty of varieties of trees (hemlock, black walnut, etc.) and foliage along the different trails, some of which are flat, and some which go up the mountain. It is well groomed with an area along some water as well. This area has ticks so make sure you check yourself and your pets when leaving. 👍

Went for a hike here. Super pretty. I’m not sure which trail I did, but I don’t think it was marked. Sorry, I went with friends who know the trails. It was gorg. Terrain was moderate with inclines and declines that were a little sketch with the ice. Kid wasn’t afraid, but was sliding around. Dog loved it. Great winter hike. Will go back.

Beautiful trails. Maps a bit confusing but other than that it was a tremendous experience. Wish we had had time to go for longer walks and experience more of the park.

This is a tiny location to visit, but it has a great cafe with a view, and one or two nice old buildings to photograph. The cafe patio has a view overlooking the river below: quite a panorama...probably makes it worth a quick stop. There are a few historic plaques to read nearby.

Gus's Family Restaurant is a friendly and affordable family restaurant in Picton, Ontario. The menu features basic food items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, and coffee. However, the quality of the food often garners positive reviews from customers. The server is attentive and polite, making it an ideal place to stop for breakfast or lunch.
I go back to this place every time I am in Picton. just great. Food is amazing and service it's outstanding. On my pictures: greek salad, poutine, double burger and soup of the day (chicken and rice, grandma style !)
Jorge R — Google review
AMAZING!!! Great little spot for a family dinner. All items on the menu were excellent and the prices more than reasonable and very large portions. One of the best pizzas I've had, I highly recommend it. If you're in the Picton area, a must stop!

Excellent Service✨ Great Food⭐ Always a good meal.😁

Hit and miss. Enjoyed their pizza, Greek chicken, children's fish and chips, but the baked lasagna was disgusting with no flavor (needs some serious love and should be sold as is).

My mom ordered liver and bacon but when she came home her daughter opened it and started eating the liver and she turned it over and it was green and it isn't suppose to be green now my daughter is in the washroom getting sick.
Jennifer M — Google review
Cozy environment but the quality of food was super disappointing. Not local but stopped in after overhearing a conversation on the street that the food was surprisingly good so figured we’d give it a try. We were feeling burgers so that’s what my family went with. Unfortunately they were frozen burgers with stale buns. The prices were super cheap so I’m not sure why we expected the quality to be better 😂 half of our fries were cold and pure grease, the other half were hot but overcooked and hard. The cups were also extra greasy but the lady who gave us our food was super pleasant to deal with so there was some positive. Unfortunately though we won’t be returning and that’s a shame because we love to support the smaller guys 😣
S B — Google review
Stopped by here yesterday for breakfast. I was a little concerned with a couple of the poor reviews. BUT we were welcomed very nicely. Poached eggs, sausage and bacon, coffee good for me. Server was very attentive and pleasant. We will definitely be going back, next time I might try lunch. Good basic food, may not be for everyone but was good for my wife and I. Good value for the money.

The Russ & Co.

Cocktail bar
The Russ & Co. is a unique cocktail bar situated in Prince Edward County, right on Picton's Main Street. It's a popular spot for both locals and tourists, offering a welcoming late-night experience with some of the finest cocktails in the area. Open until 2 am every night during the summer, it stands out as one of the few nightlife options in this historically quiet region. Nestled beneath the glowing Regent Theatre sign, The Russ & Co.
A Cozy Cocktail Gem Near the Theatre After finishing a lovely dinner at Bocado down the street, we took a leisurely walk and stumbled upon this charming cocktail bar tucked away in a little storefront beside the theatre. We were served by Dave (I think!), who crafted some truly amazing cocktails. I started with a traditional Negroni, followed by a perfectly balanced Paper Plane—both expertly made. My girlfriend enjoyed a gin-based concoction that was equally delicious. All the cocktails were wonderfully spirit-forward, crafted with precision and great balance. You could really tell he knows his craft. Thank you for the wonderful service and memorable experience—we’ll definitely be back!

Amazing cocktails and gives a speakeasy atmosphere. If you wanna feel like a mob boss definitely come here. Great staff and service, not for a huge crowd of friends but for the best couple of buddies for sure. Highly recommended 🥃

Got the “fried green tomato” drink and was blown away. So refreshing and tasteful .. bold but light at the same time. Paired with the Moroccan nuts and the cute intimate vibe, it’s the perfect start to a night!

Russ & Co. is an absolute gem in Picton! We went twice just this weekend because we couldn’t get enough. We tried three different cocktails — all completely unique, bold, and beautifully crafted. You can really tell how much thought goes into each drink. The staff is amazing, super attentive, and will happily recommend the perfect cocktail based on what you’re in the mood for. The décor is stunning, the vibe is cozy yet chic, and even the bathroom is beautiful (totally selfie-worthy!). We can’t recommend this bar enough.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Russ & Co. is an absolute gem! I had the pleasure of trying the Molly Malone, and I can honestly say it’s the best drink I’ve ever had. Perfectly crafted, balanced, and unforgettable. On top of that, the staff went above and beyond during our visit. Not only were they attentive and welcoming, but they also shared some fantastic local restaurant recommendations, which made our trip even more special. My wife and I were celebrating our 10-year anniversary, and thanks to the incredible drinks, atmosphere, and hospitality, it’s a memory we’ll treasure. Highly recommend Russ & Co. to anyone looking for top-notch cocktails and service!

We recently spent some time in the County for our honeymoon. We were told by staff from other establishments that the Russ & Co. was a must go. Glad we went. Great service and drinks! We'll make sure to visit here every time we're in Picton.

Based on a local recommendation tried the Fried Green Tomato Cocktail and was absolutely blown away. It had me coming back for more, I physically could not put it down. Savoury, but so refreshing and satisfying. Atmosphere was perfect and bar staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. 100% worth the visit.

Pizza restaurant
Pie Guy's Pizzeria is a popular spot in Picton, Ontario, known for its authentic thin-crust 14" pizzas. In addition to their pizza offerings, they also serve a variety of dishes including burgers, ribs, jerk chicken, chicken parmigiana, lasagna, salad and fries. The menu features an array of meat pies with unique flavors such as butter chicken and water buffalo. Visitors have praised the restaurant for its late-night delivery service and friendly staff.
Great pizza! Crust with a little chew, the way I like it. Tasty sauce! Good amount of toppings. Can you believe they deliver til 2am? Can't wait to go back and try the jerk chicken. Check the menu, there's lots there besides pizza. Gave 5 for atmosphere cause the pizza was so good, but it's a takeout place, no seating. Order ahead.
Sacha S — Google review
Pie Guy’s Pizzeria at PEC is a wonderful spot run by elderly owners who provide truly great service. Their friendly and welcoming approach makes every order feel special. The food quality is excellent, with fresh ingredients and tasty options like their famous wings, meat pies, and pizzas that arrive hot and satisfying. Customers appreciate their reliability and the personal touch, especially for late-night delivery in Picton.
Ashish M — Google review
Pizza was very pricey ( three medium for $80)and just okay. Some in our party found the pizza inedible. When we called we were told thin crust but it feels heavier . Folks in our party suggested it tasted uncooked. Maybe because there was a lot of cheese and sauce. The previous positive reviews were not experienced by our group. I have eaten a lot of pizza in NY, Italy, Montreal and Toronto. The pizza is not at that hype. Also, there is no formal receipt. The server indicated the price and gave me the credit card receipt (no break down of the pizza prices or the tax). This feels odd. We waited a bit longer for the pizza and there is no waiting area. You have to wait outside or in your car.
Helen G — Google review
The jerk chicken on the pizza we had was fantastic. It had a good amount of spice to it. There was more cheese on the pizza than I would have liked, but I know some people would really like it. The chicken wings were also quite good, and the Caesar salad was nice and fresh.
Nathan B — Google review
Walked in and tried to order and was told I could not order because he had 8 orders in total. I have Cooke my entire life I have never heard of anything like that! 9:44 on a Friday night! Def can’t say the county’s choice for late night pizza when you can’t get one at a quarter to 10! Try your luck I guess
Leslie C — Google review
The pizza fresh ingredients could use little more spice flavors 😋. The price was expensive for the pizza slice and server said cause Prince Edward County that prices higher . The crust reminds me of a flat bread type .

We are Toronto-nians who own a vacation property near Picton in Prince Edward County. Being foodies from the city, we didn’t expect to find much locally in terms of gourmet pizza. Pie Guy’s was an awesome and unexpected surprise! Hands-down this is the BEST pizza and pasta joint in town. Awesome pizzas, homemade wings and Cesar salad to rival any steakhouse; all made with real ingredients and prepared on-par or better than the best joints in Toronto. Super friendly service can be expected very time! PS don’t come to this place if your worried about your waste line but definitely come if you want awesome food!

We stayed at the Harbour Inn where this restaurant is located, and the moment I posted online that I was staying in Picton, EVERYBODY said I need to go here for breakfast. Now, I understand why. The portions were great, my group was satisfied at the end, as was I. I had the blueberry pancakes and they were top shelf, highly recommended.

What an amazing experience! Completely blown away by how delightful our meals were! Lunch was so delicious we went back to have breakfast! While everyone else at my table raved about their meals I personally had the Greek wrap! It was divine! Completely worth it and scrumptious!!! I could absolutely have gone and eaten the entire thing again! The staff are lovely and friendly, the place is clean and professional! It’s a cute and quaint diner with phenomenal food! 10/10 will go again!

Small, quaint restaurant. There was a half hour wait, but it was totally worth it. The service was top notch and the food was great. We had the eggs Benedict and eggs/bacon. The home fries were amazing, they come with onions and mushrooms. The bread and butter were great as well. They have a huge menu with so many selections from breakfast to wraps to burgers and salads. Prices are very reasonable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Friendly, family-run local spot with big portions at great value. I had the Classic Breakfast with 3 eggs, 2 farmers sausages, hash browns with mushrooms & onions for $13, and it kept me going all beach day. Our kids loved their Eggs Benny and breakfast poutine. Gets busy, but our 20-min wait was pleasant thanks to the pier seating out back. Highly recommend if you’re staying near Main St. in Picton.

Wineries & Vineyards
Nestled at the eastern edge of The County, Three Dog Winery offers a laid-back vineyard experience with no airs. You can savor their award-winning wines in the cozy tasting room and then relax under the gazebo overlooking their 10-acre vineyard. This family-owned winery produces thousands of liters of wine annually, including varieties like Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc.
I would give this winery 10 stars if I could. A winery with a cozy atmosphere, welcoming and friendly team. Visited this winery for their snow shoeing adventure. Absolutely amazing. Adam was our guide and was helpful, fun and made sure everyone was having a good time. We snow shoed to the sugar shack where a fire was waiting for us. Kyle and Andrew were ready to serve us wine which was so much fun. Sitting around a fire, tasting wine, having lunch was magical. The wines were so good. We tried the field white, Chardonnay, Rose and then their Big Red. I’m not a red wine drinker but it would’ve been rude not to try it. It was delicious and I even had seconds. 😁 looks like I’m converted. Highly recommend this vineyard. Looking forward to visiting in the summer.
June G — Google review
Wonderful experience. We had the signature wine flight and every wine was really good! My mom had the premium and she loved it as well. Megan was very welcoming and sweet during our visit. Would highly recommend the cheese platter to pair with the wines. We came with our toddler and she enjoyed seeing the dog and petting him. Highly recommend bringing your own toys if you have a kid so they're occupied while you enjoy the wine tasting. Outdoor space is wonderful and I can imagine it's super popular during summer. DEFINITELY try the sangria spritz... A delicious summer drink!
Jacqui L — Google review
Friendly, casual, rural, beautiful rustic winery. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The wines are delicious and the setting is fantastic. And there was love music. ☺️ Definitely add this one to your wine tour. We will be back for sure.
Jane L — Google review
Three Dog Winery is the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at ease. It one of the most laid-back and inviting outdoor settings around. Between the sprawling picnic areas, shaded seating, and surrounding forest trails, it’s easy to spend an entire afternoon here and forget about the rest of the world. The vibe is casual and community-driven—live music on the weekends, wood-fired pizzas, and a family-friendly feel that still manages to be peaceful and scenic. It’s the perfect mix of fun and tranquil. And of course, the star of the show is the dog. Their sweet and friendly pup (true to the winery’s name) adds so much charm. It’s a small detail, but it really reinforces the warmth and personality of the place.
Lucas C — Google review
We were the first customers there. Very dog friendly atmosphere. There's a resident fur buddy there who's very friendly and well behaved. We tried the premium wine flight $22. The Riesling stood out as our favourite. The other ones were not our type of wine. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The weather was not the greatest it started to rain once we got seated in one of the gazebo tables. There's free water available for guests and their dogs. We also ordered the combination pizza with heirloom tomatoes, mushrooms and bacon bits. The pizza was baked in wood fire oven outside. Overall it was a pleasant visit. I just wish we had better weather.
Darby C — Google review
The absolute best staff, paired with incredible wine! So welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Not to mention, a beautiful back seating area with tons of tables and the perfect music. We had the crisp summer flight which we loved (all 4). But the top of the top was the 2024 Debut Sparking! Thank you so much for having us! We'll 100000% be coming back.
Vern P — Google review
This was our last stop during our self guided wine tour. We live in Kingston so the location was perfect to cover half the distance of our drive home. It was also a great place to have some wood-fired pizzas to finish the day. The smoke of the fire was the first thing I noticed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We also discovered their delicious Sangria Spritz, a fruity mix that is really nice to drink with ice.

County Creative in Prince Edward County is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts. The owner, Nicole, is a local expert who warmly welcomes visitors to her studio, which also doubles as an art gallery showcasing beautiful local artwork. Visitors can enjoy painting unique pottery pieces and receive helpful guidance from Nicole. The studio offers a wide selection of items at great prices, making it difficult to choose just one to paint.
I had an amazing time at County Creative with my partner for valentine's day! We got to paint two pottery pieces, make a floral bouquet, and enjoy some delicious snacks and mocktails. There's a beautiful art gallery upstairs and the pottery studio downstairs is very, very cute. There's a great selection of pottery to choose from and a wide variety of colours :-) lovely staff, vibes, and music too. The owner, Nicole, was so kind and welcoming - thanks for the fun experience. Definitely coming back with my girlfriends :-)

My sister and I had a lovely time at the studio painting our ceramic pieces! Nicole is super friendly, welcoming and has created such a beautiful space for artists of all levels to come paint, relax and tap into their creative sides! We had a wonderful time painting pottery as a family at County Creative! When you first walk in you can enjoy the stunning art gallery, which you can tell has been curated with so much care. And I love that it includes local artists! Then you get to go downstairs to be creative yourself. The space is so cute with its neon signs! I liked that they had so many options you can pick from, good choices for kids and adults. I’ve painted pottery before and sometimes am sad that there’s not a lot of colors to pick from, but I was SO excited to see that County Creative had the speckle paints! The ladies running the place, Nicole and Taylor, have made it very accessible by the system of color selection, and they refill your paint pots by hand which is a nice personal touch. They also provide a laminated sheet of tips and tricks which is so helpful for beginner painters. They also played such nice soothing music, so me and my family had a wonderful relaxing time. Was so happy to receive my item, it was so well cared for and bubble-wrapped in a gift bag! I was in the area so could pick it up, but I love knowing that they ship as well. I can’t say enough good things!

Base31 is an upcoming destination that promises to offer a diverse range of culturally rich dining experiences. Visitors can look forward to the opening of exciting new restaurants, adding to the vibrant culinary scene in the area. Additionally, Base31 also serves as a venue for various events such as fundraisers and themed brunches. The staff at Base31 are commended for their exceptional service and support, ensuring that events are executed seamlessly.
We visited for lunch after a team meeting and it was a great place to stop. Easy to get to and lots of parking. Many food options available and they all sounded so delicious that the only problem was deciding on which one. Plenty of seating and shade as well as a central bar. Washrooms and facilities were immaculate , don’t let the condition of some of the building fool you. Everyone was friendly and there were a few vendors on site selling other goods, we there on a Thursday so I can image there are more options on a weekend and later in the summer season. Looks like a great venue for live music as well.

As a former Soldier it was on honour to be part of base 31 and it's very unique heritage. I was blown away with its transformation into a modern day facility with live music and bright lights and intrigued with the people and atmosphere it provides. I love that i can tour the facility for free with my Veteran card and free for all military. Thanks Base 31 for an eye opening experience!!! ❤️ Amazing Venue!!! ❤️ 👏 🤩 Amazing Artists!

Stopped by Base31 for lunch and a quick walk about on 19/07/2025. So pleased we did!! Went into the Visitor Center and learned about what Base31 is and the direction it is going from the young woman working that day. Sorry, didn't get her name! :) She was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient in her teachings. What an amazing idea, great potential, and interesting environment. We hope to go to a few upcoming concerts ... SO COOL!! I look forward to visiting and experiencing all the growth!

Base31 camping is not ready for campers. Lacking showers and washroom facilities for campers. The showers are actually green rooms for the performers in the event halls, so there are very few to serve campers and a very long walk from the designated camp sites. My shower reservation was 5pm the next day. Washrooms are closed in the morning, so hold your shits and forget about brushing your teeth at a sink. Portable toilets are available, but gross. No water station facilities to fill water bottles even though it was advertised, you can buy the $4 Flow water from the bar. Camp sites are small, and really expensive for what they give you. It's an airport, so the grounds are flat and comfortable. No trees or any shades so it can get very hot. Someone had a heat stroke while we're there. All the driveways and parking lot is full of broken asphalt, raised drain grates and tons of pot holes. Unpaved roads adding to the dust, my stuff was covered in dust by the next morning. A few pop up shops serving meals at the commissary, but they get overrun by the crowd, can't keep up with the orders, and often run out of food. We have been refused to take our orders 2x while we are there. Be prepared to find alternatives. No vending machines nearby, so even if you need any kind of essentials, need to drive back to town. Lots of security around, mostly to keep people out of the concert halls or access to the washrooms in the morning. We booked a premium camping site and said it comes with a goodies bag... It has a couple of maps of the base and PEC, and a bunch of advertisments, I wouldn't say it is a goodies bag, it was junk mail in a bag. Base31 is a good idea for events but just not quite ready yet. Hope they will improve, until then, better off going to Sandbanks or check in at a local motel for the next event than to camp at Base31

Its early days in its transformation but can see the potential for what they are hoping to achieve. Looking forward to revisiting in the years to come. I liked the small museum that speaks to the history of this site

On May 28th 2025, 26 seniors from the Probus Club of Bradford descended on Base 31 for a fun and informative experience. We were greeted by the lovely ladies, Kat and Alicia who made us feel most welcome at the Commissary. We had arranged for a nutritious and tasty box lunch which we devoured in the open air sunshine at the Commissary. It was then time to meet Madeline, our gracious and well-informed tour guide. She led us around the facility and enthralled us with great background stories about life at the base during and after the war. She is a font of knowledge with a wonderful sense of humour. Little known fact regarding the base is that it was under the control of the British military during the war. As a consequence they made everyone drive on the left side of the road while on base. Must have been fun when they had to switch to right side off base. In addition both Alicia and Kat were quite responsive to our questions and concerns as we planned our group trip. They were also most accommodating with our mobility challenged members. In summary, Base 31 should definitely be high on your list if you are contemplating a journey to Prince Edward County.

Westlake Willy Waterpark at Sandbanks Provincial Park in Prince Edward County is a popular destination for both relaxation and adventure. The inflatable waterpark offers super fun activities, although some inflatables may be challenging to get on without good upper body strength. Visitors can also enjoy outdoor activities like kayaking, speed boat rides, fishing, and exploring the dunes.
My family and I rented a large boat and had such a wonderful day in the sun, fishing, playing in the water and exploring the dunes. The area is very clean, we would however highly recommend bringing water shoes as the sand tends to have twigs sticking out in some areas (other areas the sand is clear and so powdery soft), the entry to the water has many rocks and when there aren’t rocks there can be a lot of squishy moss depending on the area. All in all it’s great for the day for some family fun without the usual crowded beach feel. Picture was taken from the boat.

Beware of this business – I rented a pontoon boat on earlier this year, with a $1,000 deposit, promised to be refunded if there was no damage. Despite returning the boat in perfect condition, I never got my deposit back. This feels like a scam.

The inflatable structures in the photo DO NOT EXIST ANYMORE. We arrived and we're informed that that section is CLOSED since Covid. I wish it was written somewhere clearly

I reserved a single jet-ski, June 10 2023, between 12pm and 4pm. The jet ski was malfunctioning, which was unfortunate. Due to this breakdown, for two hours, we were stranded on the lake without any safety equipment that had been promised to us by Alex the employee in charge of the reservation. A boat that was passing by our location came to our aid. Given that my friend and I aren't strong swimmers, who knows what may have occurred if this kind person hadn't intervened? We were unable to get back on the jet-ski because of it flip over. The situation was perilous and frightening. We wasted a lot of time attempting to correct all the problems, which made the pleasure of using the jet ski on the water unpleasant. For all the effort we had to go through, I kindly request a refund.

So fun! Should have the blob jump open more often though. And change rooms would be nice. But super fun place! Get your muscles ready!

Good place for outdoor activities like kayaking, speed boat rides and some good time with family and friends.

Do NOT rent any boats from this place!! The owner does not care about the safety of its clients. We recently rented the Pontoon boat from this place, but had a very unpleasant experience. We were 11 people on a boat that was stalling, and left us stranded in the middle of plenty of waves for an hour! The boat flooded with water yet the boat has the capacity to fit 19 people. The carpet on the boat was filthy and had plenty of brown stains! By far the worst time of my life. The stereo speakers were not working so we couldn't play some music. The owner told us he didn't care and if we wouldn't want to rent it again, someone else will.

For my birthday I came to Willy Waterpark and it was super fun. I mainly came for the inflatable waterpark and again it was super fun. Now let me note a few things. I will say some of the inflatables are super hard to get on. Like you need some good upper body strength. I watched this kid try to get up on an inflatable and due to the way it was designed this kid could not get up it. I could barely get up it and at the time I was 16 and in pretty good shape. The next day, lets say...was the worst! I guess the amount of energy I used and upper body strength, mixed with the sun did not help because I was so sore. I could not move. But overall it was super fun once you finally climbed up a giant inflatable and went in the water. Would I recommend this place? Yes and no. Its super fun but also really tough on your body in many different ways.

Lighthall Vineyards, located in the Milford area of PEC, is a small but impressive winery known for its great wine and friendly, informative service. The winery offers its very own cheese with wine tastings at a reasonable price. While some visitors found the wines to be somewhat young and underdeveloped, others appreciated the unique concept of pairing wines with local cheeses. The laid-back ambiance and welcoming staff make for a pleasant tasting experience.
Fun, informative, and delicious wine tasting. The lady who did our tasting was just a gem. She was fun, attentive, and provided a lot of interesting information. She answered all our questions and went above and beyond to pair the perfect cheese and wines. It was my first time going, but my friend is a local and loves going here with guests because the experience is always amazing.

Wonderful Vineyard! The cheese & wine pairings were spot on! The prices for tastings very reasonable! Not a very big winery but probably our favorite on this trip!

What a delightful experience! Kimberly and the team were friendly and welcoming, expertly guiding us through tasting their (frankly spectacular) bubbles, whites and reds paired with their own sheep-milk cheeses. The exquisite traditional methode-champenoise sparking wines offered patisserie hints on the nose, with soft and delicate bubbles, fresh and gently citrusy on the palette. The whites were equality accomplished, particularly the generous, pinot gris, with silky and evocative honey and citrus notes. The real surprise were the reds, with a spectacular cab franc & merlot blend - gently peppery with spices and dried fruits on the nose, but fresh and bright on the palette. The cheeses were equally enjoyable, and a perfect accompaniment to the wine. Thank you so much, we'll be back!

Nice and very small vignards. We almost tried everything and fell in love with the cabernet franc and the fence sparkling wine. Recommend visiting it!

The wine tasting was such a good experience, and Kat was so enthusiastic and informative as she explained the wines and the cheeses she paired with them to us. The wines were distinctive, and I especially liked their sparkling variety.

What a lovely experience. The wine was delicious and the cheese was out of this world. And to top it all off Wendy our wine guide was so very warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable.

Lighthall Vineyards is definitely a gem!! Kimberly helped us and gave us lots of great information about the winery, wines & cheeses. We closed the place down on Sunday night. We bought 6 bottles and had to go back the next day as I forgot to buy cheese for my friend. We ended up buying 2 more bottles of the sparkling rose & cheese. We will definitely be returning!

Went on a busy day and while there was a wait to do our tasting, the woman (long hair, I wish I knew her name!) who helped us was incredible and more than made up for it. Really enjoyed the cheese pairings she chose, too. I wish there was seating inside, but they quickly found a chair for me and were accommodating. Will be back!

The Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory, a registered charity, is dedicated to bird migration and species conservation. With over 350 bird species and diverse plant life, including the stunning vipers bugloss, it offers an incredible natural experience. As a migration monitoring station along an important bird area, it provides opportunities to observe passerines, waterfowl, and raptors.
Before I begin I wanted to mention something on the photos shown on this business on Google Maps. ~~~~ Please be aware that this business is a Bird Observatory and the photos with water in them are actually photos from Long Point Rd Beach. Which is right down the road from this place. You can see the water from the Bird Observatory that is how close the water is. Anyways I just wanted to clarify, lets begin. ~~~~ The Prince Edward Point Bird Observatory monitors and reports and promotes analysis of bird migration along PEC South Shore. This place is amazing. I have been to this place two times now. The first time being a long time ago and it is so cool to see this place grow and develop into what it is now. This place DOESN'T receive Government funding so if you come to this place make sure you leave some sort of donation. This place is great for kids and anyone who just loves animals or want to get up close and see these amazing researchers in action. This place is really worth coming to, just check their website to make sure they will be open and plan your trip accordingly.
Siren S — Google review
Seems like a lovely place in theory but our visit was underwhelming. Didn't see a whole lot of wildlife (best to come in spring / fall rather than summer) and the trails are short and not well marked. Being able to interact with the observatory workers would have likely made it cooler but it was closed. Seems like a great place for the birds though, glad its here!
Artem S — Google review
We had a great time visiting the observatory, talking to the volunteers, watching the birds getting banded and learning about them before they were released again. Wonderful initiative with very welcoming & knowledgeable people. We got to see a little hawk, blue jay, golden crowned kinglet, thrushes and a ruby kinglet up close. There is also a nice walk to the light house and rocky beach nearby. Highly recommended, but check times because they close by 1pm when we went on Saturday. The number of birds they net and band will also vary by season.
Khayriyyah H — Google review
Quiet place at the end of a long unpaved road. Good if you timred it with the migrant birds. Not much to see off season though, its windy and cold, no beach area, and can't see much without binoculars. Beautiful water color, sea blue and green, on a sunny day.
K K — Google review
A place where nature and exploration go hand in hand. Amazing place to visit and take it all in. Crystal clear waters and blue skies had the birds chirping all around us. Great place for exercise for the whole family, seen people with dogs too. Lots of frogs and snakes by the water so it made it extra fun for the kids.

It is so amazing to see the bird banding and observe the birds up close. The staff were very friendly and informative. I will definitely be going again.

Located in Picton, Prince Edward County, The Blue Sail Seafood Market & Restaurant offers a cozy and nautical-themed dining experience. The restaurant features a rich blue wall and maritime paintings, creating a romantic ambiance for enjoying high-quality seafood dishes. Open from Thursday to Sunday for lunch and dinner, this establishment also houses a market where visitors can purchase the freshest seafood. Customers have praised the delicious shrimp cocktail and lobster roll, as well as the smoked trout and spinach salad.
We were visiting Picton for the first time and decided to have dinner at the Blue Sail. A decision we won't ever forget. The food was delicious! I started with a shrimp cocktail that was very good but I could have used a bit more cocktail sauce. My fault, I should have asked for more. That was followed by their lobster and shrimp roll which was so good. The French fries were the best I ever had. My friend had the smoked trout and spinach salad and the seafood bowl. She said both were delicious. The broth was so good she ate the remainder with a spoon. Our server, Kayla was a lovely young lady who was friendly, helpful and totally accommodating. If you get a chance, please try this restaurant. I don't think you'll be disappointed. We plan ti make PEC an annual affair and will definitely be back. Thank you Kayla and Chef for such a memorable meal.

A wonderful hidden gem that's easy to miss and a little expensive, but well worth it! We come here whenever we're in town and the chef never disappoints! They're only open for a few hours in the evening, so it's best to call and make a reservation. I had the cod with a caper white wine sauce, the smoked squash soup, and the lavender and candied ginger chocolate bark off their "county-licious" menu which was all delicious. Every time we go, my wife and I share the Sail Sundae which is always super good!

Always have an amazing dinner here! It's become a family favourite and we always walk away satiated and happy! The arctic char is my pops' fave dish there and my mum loves the seafood fettuccine. Their risotto is incredible and consistent considering rule of thumb is never to order risotto in a restaurant. But I'm always happy here - the scallops are cooked to perfection and the risotto is the perfect consistency with a teeny chew which is how I like it with a beautiful broth. And you cannot even think of leaving without that beautiful ice cream sundae....

What a great dinner 💯. The waitress was amazing, the food was perfect and the atmosphere on the patio Friday night with all the classic cars made it even better. The chef 👨‍🍳 even came out to make sure everything was okay. We'll be back again soon! Keep it up.

We have been ordering seafood from Blue Sail for years and they never disappoint. The quality is always A+ fresh and flavourful. Whether we are ordering for two or a party of twenty, everything is perfect. Their customer service is friendly, responsive, and reliable when preordering. We especially love their seafood boil kit - it comes with everything you need, including clear instructions, which makes it super easy and fun to prepare. The smoked trout dip also a fan favourite. Truly the best in the county.

Found the service a little slow in the beginning but evened out in the end. We ordered the fish and chips ($26) which was okay, and the Lobster Shrimp Roll ($32) which was also okay but the portions for both left a lot to be desired.

Perched on a knoll overlooking the stunning Sandbanks Provincial Park, Restaurant on the Knoll offers a delightful dining experience. Whether you opt for the seasonal beachside patio or the covered veranda, you'll be treated to breathtaking sunset views. The menu features an array of delectable dishes such as fish tacos, fish and chips, artichoke dips, Caesar salad with chicken, and cheesecake.
Exceptional dining experience ! Highly recommended ! Our large group had an absolutely outstanding lunch at The Knoll, and I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable and the food exceeded all expectations. The menu offerings were exceptional across the board. We sampled numerous appetizers and tried almost all the hot dishes, including the ravioli, mussels, burgers, and pasta. Every single dish featured generous portions with remarkably fresh ingredients that truly showcased the kitchen's commitment to quality. Our waitress Kristy was nothing short of amazing – attentive, knowledgeable, and made our large group feel completely welcomed and well-cared for throughout our meal. The manager on duty was equally impressive, ensuring everything ran smoothly and checking in to make sure our experience was perfect. The patio seating offers a truly stunning view that adds an extra dimension to the dining experience. I highly recommend requesting patio seating if weather permits – the scenery is absolutely breathtaking and complements the excellent food perfectly.

A fantastic dining experience in beautiful Picton. 💫 I initially picked the restaurant strictly for the view — which was spectacular!! — but the excellent food was a welcome surprise. I got the vegan oyster mushroom dish and was super impressed with the flavour and freshness. 🤌🏾 I would definitely order it again and I can’t wait to come back to the Knoll the next time I’m in Picton. The service too was warm, professional, and fast, very impressive considering we were a group of 8. 🥰 I was especially pleased with the ease with which the bill was split. 🙌🏾

We had dinner at The Knoll and it was wonderful. The restaurant overlooks the lake, and we were lucky enough to get a table right by the water. The food was just as impressive as the view, every dish we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. But what really made the experience stand out was the service. Our server, Lisa, was incredible. She was so kind, funny and attentive. She had great recommendations and made us feel welcome! We left feeling so happy about our evening. Highly recommend!

Had dinner at the Knoll tonight, with a couple girlfriends, the service and food was top tear! Krissy, Lisa, Aleah, Taylor, Tenzin, Raymond and Steve all were tentative, knowledgeable, kind and personable. They were busy, and had a few challenges with the water system, but did their best to keep everyone happy. I witnessed them approach each table several times throughout the night to see if everyone was ok and had everything they needed from 6pm-9:15pm (we had a few drinks after dinner and enjoyed the patio until close) being a server is not an easy job and this team did an incredible job tonight! Water was off for the resort for a short time, but alternatives were provided. Great job tonight to the Knoll! We will be back!

Went for lunch on July 1, 2025. We had not been there for some time and based on our last visit we did not expect too much. Turns out that ownership changed once again. There is some inspiration in the kitchen. All three meals were quite good. Service was very good. It was a warm day and there was no A/C. Doors were open to outside and as a result there were wasps inside. That was why I downgraded the rating on atmosphere. The room was set up nicely and of course the view across West Lake to the Dunes at Sandbanks is great. I have since told friends about the positive changes and it is likely that we will return for another meal.

Incredible...... from the moment we walked through the doorway. Once you come in the front entrance you're instantly taken back by the view, absolutely breathtaking. With the back patio seating you are literally on the beach, sand beneath the deck you sit on. The water is crystal clear with a view you can only dream of. The food was exceptional. They offer a limited menu because they take pride in their dishes going the extra mile to make each one of them perfect. I had the Veggie Burger and let me tell you - it was all kinds of flavour! The charcuterie board was perfect for 1 person and offered a visually appealing presentation. The most exceptional aspect of this outing was the customer service... we had LISA & she made us feel at home. She went above and beyond to ensure I obtained a meal I actually enjoy, considering I'm vegetarian. She made us feel welcomed instantly and allowed us to choose our own seating. She gave us a memorable experience and we can't thank her enough for making our first date night out in over 4 months just perfect. Thank you for an incredible afternoon we can NOT WAIT to be back 🤗

Chinese restaurant
The Island Family Restaurant in downtown Picton offers a diverse menu including Chinese, Greek, and Canadian cuisine. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week, this restaurant is sure to satisfy even the hungriest families. It came as a delightful surprise to discover that their Chinese food is the best meal ever experienced. What makes it even better is that this hidden gem is conveniently located near their new office.
Always friendly service and delicious Chinese food! Wish we could still dine in!

Recently moved to the area so are trying all our local establishments. Can safely say this place is off our list. The chicken fried rice is rice with a hint of chicken, the curry chicken is an onion and green pepper curry and good luck trying to spot the chicken. Beef lo mein was a packet of noodles topped with a little veg and a slither of beef. Needless to say we won’t be back.
June G — Google review
No matter how much you are craving Chinese food, do not take a chance with this place. Chicken balls and egg rolls were tolerable but the chicken fried rice and noodle dishes were atrocious. We ordered chow mein (photo included) which was watery bean sprouts with no noodles. When we called, the worker basically said « sucks for you ». Truly a wild way to spend $150+
Sarah P — Google review
Take out, chinesse food isnt the same. Ive been sick for 2 days now, the chicken fried rice didnt taste like before, and the egg roles were very sweet ... Im disponited.
Britt B — Google review
Food is expensive and severely lacking in flavour. Every small town needs a decent little place for Chinese, and I can safely say this place is not it.
Maya D — Google review
Came in from Toronto for the weekend. We went to this place because our hotel restaurant was full. It was fine... breakfast was pretty normal and portions were big. It was quiet there and I felt put off because of it but that was unfair I believe.
Ricky K — Google review
Expensive and bland. I went for chicken low main ($19+tax) and the noodles were not low main and it had very little flavour compared to mostly every other restaurant
Sean A — Google review
I got the dinner for 5 and 4 cokes. The total was over 100 dollars. They have no debit machine and you have to have cash if you are doing delivery. It took over an hour to get the food. It has basically no flavors. The noodles were sad and clumped together. Portion sizes are also very small. When you could dine in the food seemed better but they have not opened their restaurant up and the quality is suffering. I wouldn't order a burger and fries for takeout, so we ordered Chinese food and it tasted like steamed veggies. They're a nice family local business, but other than that... No body hardly ate, and 100 plus bucks gone.

Exultet Estates, situated in the southern part of Prince Edward County, is a historic farm that has been transformed into a flourishing vineyard. The winery, owned by the Spinosa Family, is housed in the former 1870's Royal Street Cheese Factory, preserving its rich heritage with minimal environmental impact.
Exultet Estates for me I feel is one of the best wineries if not the best. The wines they produce year in year out are superb. The vintner is great to chat with and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Privately owned, we loved this one. The owners are kind and knowledgeable, and their wine is really very well made, super smooth and a great price. It was my favourite wineries of the day because of the family feel and the love they put in.

The winery is family-run and experience of wine-tasting with the owner is very educative and personal. She gave us excellent advice on which wines we should try and buy. We were very impressed with their pinot noirs, and I loved the fortified wine they have created. They had apple and orange wines that are very unusual, as well.

Amazing winery, we came here on a Sunday and Gerry the owner spent over 1 hour talking to us about his wines and shared his passion. The wines here are probably the best of all the Prince Edward County and on european standards. Extremely impressive! We were recommended this winery by a wine bar in Kingston and loved it. If you are looking for an amazing tasting and experience, this is the place to go.

Long Dog Vineyard & Winery is located in a secluded spot on the southern peninsula of Prince Edward County, away from the more popular winemaking areas. The owner, James Lahti, sought to create an intimate and relaxing experience for visitors. The winery is known for its delicious wines, particularly its Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, as well as a fantastic sparkling Gamay. Visitors appreciate the quieter location, finding it adds to the charm of the place.
This was my favourite wine of all the wineries I went to in PEC. Went for a tasting before heading out on the Sunday and so glad we did! It’s in a quieter area making it a little less accessible but it’s completely worth it. It actually adds to the charm. It has a more intimate and relaxing feel. The owner is funny and charming. His storytelling added a nice touch to the delicious wines we sampled in the tasting. I loved my first sip and somehow the wines kept getting better and better! Can’t wait to go back

What a hidden gem! Definitely worth the drive. The tasting room is a short walk through the aromatic and overgrown vegetation along a stone path. We enjoyed our flight on the Muskoka chairs overlooking the vineyard. The Pinot Gris and Top Dog Pinot Noir were big hits with our group. Visit here!
Robyn K — Google review
I have detoured to visit this winery a few times and was never disappointed. Owner is knowledgeable and proud of his wines and terroir, and thus willing to chat about both with people who show interest. I prefer when it is quiet so I can engage in discussing winemaking in the county, an opportunity only available in small wineries. I am not sure what the reviewers giving zero or one star expect, but I’d much rather discuss with the owner who is authentic than with a salesperson.
Maxime B — Google review
In my opinion, Long Dog Winery makes the best Pinot Noirs and the best Chardonnays in Prince Edward County. Hands down. They also make a fantastic sparkling Gamay. You'll likely meet Victoria in the tasting room and if you're lucky, James will be around to pull the curtain back on how these incredible wines are made. This is a true County experience, where the wine and the beautiful farm speak for itself. Truly my favourite winery in all of PEC.

We visited Long Dog Vineyard & Winery with friends; did the tasting and i bought Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, loved them both. Very friendly and good service.

We have been to many wineries in the County. This takes the cake as the worst. The vineyards are overgrown and unkempt. The lady in the tastings was not pleasant and obviously didn’t care if we were there. The Chardonnay was tasteless. We left without buying anything. My glass was dirty. Highly Do not recommend.
Linda H — Google review
Our first visit yesterday and very disappointed. The lady with long curly blond hair working there was clearly not interested in meeting visitors (we were the only ones). The labeling of her wine bottles seemed much more interesting and important. I'm personally a Chardonnay lover and asked what was the difference between their Chardonnay Bella 2016 and 2017 and the Chardonnay Bella Bella 2017 which is quite legitimate as a question... Well, the answer was "Taste it and you'll know it"... Wow, what a response especially when you consider the price of their wines... Oh well, I left without purchasing any bottles and checked on the internet to get the answer. And I won't certainly go back. There are plenty of other places to visit anyway where the hosts/hostesses are much more friendly and enthusiastic to discuss and share their knowledge about their wines...
Josee M — Google review
We visited about 8 different vineyards/wineries in Prince Edward County and Long Dog was by far our favourite. Not only was the wine amazing but the owner was super friendly and the atmosphere was great. Other wineries we visited were crowded, loud and there was no one to really give you info about the wines. But we were the only ones there on a Friday afternoon and it was such a great experience. We were able to try as many wines as we wanted for free if we bought 2 bottles and we ended up buying 4 bottles.

Visitors have praised the friendly staff and cozy atmosphere, making it a favorite stop on wine tours. The winery's Riesling from 2014 has been described as sophisticated and unique, while the Chardonnay 2016 offers an unoaked option with a distinctive aroma and buttery flavor.
Great quality wine 🍷 in Prince Edward County. The sparkling wine is great! 👍😊

Great locally produced wine from County grown grapes. Tasted Riesling from 2014, it has very unusual and sophisticated taste, liked it very much. Their Chardonnay 2016 is unoaked with unique aroma and buttery flavor. Merlot 2016 was our favorite, but we took one of each as we liked it very much and want to share with our friends.

Dropped into a lovely tasting lounge. Very personable owners with a wealth of knowledge to share. I purchased their merlot and found it to be amazingly refreshing light and a perfect compliment to any evening. All my guests have expressed the same. You can tell they are passionate and caring of their craft.

I was fortunate enough to discover this little gem of a winery in the County this past weekend, as it was one of the stops on our tour of the County with Sandbanks Tours. I have to say that everyone (16 of us), were quite impressed with the quality of the product as well as the two hostesses who took great time to explain the wine process etc. and to do our tastings properly.....Def. a place you need to visit, and that I will be going back to to stock up on my wine supplies..... The couple the owns it are superb! Great conversation. We tasted the sparkling Riesling which was so refreshing and crisp. We tried the Pinto Gris which was so great we left with a bottle and may be back for one more visit before leaving PEC. Must go!
Mary A — Google review
We worked our way through their entire list, and unfortunately were just not impressed with the wines.
Mireille L — Google review
This was the last wine stop that my boyfriend and I planned for our PEC tour. We were getting tired near the end of the day and we almost skipped it! Super glad we didn't, however, as it became our favourite of the trip. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere is really casual and cozy - they also serve cheese from Light Hall Winery. We left with a bottle of the Pinot Noir and are saving it for a special occasion because it's too good to waste. There is also a scenic conservation area nearby with a rocky beach that makes the area a must visit.

Visited late September during Covid. One of our favourites in the County. Owners are lovely, wines have character and food is excellent. Covid precautions in place. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much Liz and Andre for making our trip to Italy extra special!! She absolutely adored the ring you helped me select and more importantly she said YES!! Liz and Andre are super friendly and knowledgeable, I felt as if I was working with family or a close friend from the moment we met. They were very responsive and gave me great suggestions for within my budget. Would strongly recommend anyone to visit their shop for their jewelry needs!!

Just over a year ago, my (now) husband, selected the most beautiful engagement ring I could have imagined from Innovative Jewelers. After the obvious YES, we knew we would be picking our wedding bands from Innovative as well. Liz and Andre are so personable it feels like you are with friends, while still giving us all the facts and options to make sure you get exactly what you are looking for. My husband was unsure what style he wanted as he wasn't much into jewellery, and Andre patiently showed us many options until we landed on the right one. Most importantly, WE LOVE THE RINGS. We love that our rings were handmade for us, and you can tell they are made with incredible care and time. Thank you again Liz and Andre for all your help!!

I recently purchased a beautiful gold chain with an adorable banana pendant for my girlfriend from Innovative Jewellery, and I couldn’t be happier! The quality of the piece is fantastic, and my girlfriend absolutely loves it. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, making the shopping experience even better. They genuinely care about their customers and ensure you leave with something perfect. I highly recommend Innovative Jewellery for anyone looking for unique, high-quality pieces

I stopped by the store with two of my friends a few days ago, and from the minute we walked in, we were greeted warmly by Andre! He patiently showed us every single piece we were interested in and let us try them all on. I ended up buying this beautiful gold and amethyst bracelet, which I absolutely love! Since I wear my pieces daily, I was nervous about something happening to it. However, Andre assured me that if there were ever an issue, he would be happy to resolve it. Great customer service and even better jewelry! My friends and I will definitely be back!

Innovative Jewelry is a wonderful place. You will find top of the line gold, silver, and gemstones here. The owner Andre is very knowledgeable, helpful, and thoughtful. He makes it a point to say that he wants you to be happy with what you purchase and will see that you are! They also do repairs and custom here, so definitely give it a look when you're in the area.

Andre & Liz were so amazing and knowledgeable!! Andre went out of his way to greet us and explain all about Liz's custom made jewelry. We had a great experience today with our purchase and products. I would Definitely and highly recommend going to see them. We will be back again soon.

A huge thank you to Liz for making this custom birthday gift I’m time for the celebration. I popped into this shop with a time line I wasn’t sure could be met and Liz graciously worked on this piece on her off day to ensure it was ready for me to gift on time. Thank you thank you for your kindness, and excellent customer service. She LOVED it 💥

Lengthy review but here goes. We were in Picton during the summer and wandered into this shop (jewelery is outstanding). I've never been truly fond of my wedding ring as over the years it seems to look more like something you could pick up in the plumbing department in a hardware store. (Be sure to read the correctly though ... I love my wife just not the ring so much :) Getting to the point. Fell in love with a ring in the store and talked to the owners about it (who are very friendly and personable). When they asked for my ring size and realized it was for my ring finger they almost tried to talk me OUT of a sale. They were giving me suggestions that could bring more life to my old ring. Even though we were from out of town and they would not have been doing the work, they were still helpful, kind, and not trying to push me into buying anything I might regret. Loved the ring in their store too much (and I'm not a jewelery guy) and bought it on the spot. Don't worry, my wife loves it as much as I do :) Highly suggest the store ... even if you are just popping in for a look.

A great stop for those curious about local artists or a relaxing pit stop! We were greeted by a very kind man who walked us through the pieces they had on display (including his own beautiful work), with a very easy and at home approach. The gallery houses some very soft cats and a beautiful garden that we were able to walk through. We will definitely be coming back in the summer to purchase some art! Also thank you for the house plants and tips about the area. :)

A MUST DO for visiting Picton & Prince Edward County. We were greeted by the most wonderful man who opened his home to showcase a plethora of local artists work. We were amazed at all the beautiful art and the homey farm aesthetic with the most adorable cats. We also got a tour of their incredible garden, it was so relaxing such a lovely place to be! Thank you so much for making our day with your warm company and plants!

Point Petre Wildlife Conservation Area is a popular spot known for its stunning sunsets and picturesque views of Lake Ontario. The area features rocky shores and flat rocks that are perfect for swimming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty. Accessible by car, visitors can also take a short walk from a nearby parking area to reach the water. While the road to get there may be easy to miss and bumpy, the serene atmosphere and fantastic views make it worth the visit.
What a lovely, local spot. It has no white sand and is quite rough, so dont go there is you want to have a beach day. Its more a local spot that is really quiet and has some lovely scenic spots if you dont plan on swimming.
Cherith H — Google review
Definitely a not-to-be-missed serenity spot if you want to get away from crowdedness of sandsbank. Fantastic view. However, the road (actually it's a small trail) to get there is easy to miss (no sign) and bumpy (not maintained at all).
Yi Z — Google review
No road access or parking lot, not accessible. Beautiful views once you get to shoreline. Very restricted area so not much you can do there. Beautiful point for a picnic on the rocks or a quick swim.

If you have an ATV or 4x4 this is a beautiful spot! Been here many times, it’s always 1 of my must-see’s when I’m in the area! (Difficult to reach by regular car, bit of a hike on foot)
Jay L — Google review
Great time and picturesque views! Highly recommended and tucked away for only a few to find. Accessible by car but roads are a bit tight. You can also park about 5 min away and walk down those same roads using one of several paths leading to the water. Only one warning is that younger kids should be watched carefully with many big rocks in and out of waters. A must see and great picnic spot!
George K — Google review
It’s ok. But access is hard as you need to park on road and hike in there around the lakes of water ! I made the mistake of driving in, and it scratched the hell out of my truck😩 You can see better sites at Lakeshore lodge area. Similar rocks but better !

I had a lovely experience grabbing a delicious cafe latte when visiting The Bean Counter in downtown Picton. Staff were friendly, espresso was good and it was a busy location. Cheers, Spicy Jan -- Tasty Road Trips

The Bean Counter was my shining beacon of yumminess and caffeination this summer when I was working in town. Their staff were all so friendly, and fantastic at remembering all their regulars. The breakfast and lunch options are varied and delicious, and their baked goods always hit the spot. They definitely make the best iced matcha latte in Picton, as evidenced by how many stamps I got on my little reward cards 😂

This is a very busy spot right in Downtown Picton. It's a fairly small space but they do have seating available. Unsurprising that it was packed when we went in and all of the tables were in use with a mix of locals and tourists. They had a nice menu selection of different sandwiches, pastries, hot and cold coffees, teas etc. Pricing is reasonable and the staff are friendly. Would definitely go back!

Really good coffee with fresh Bakery, Nice staff, we also liked the table outside on the sidewalk, you can really relax and feel the vibes of the city, the building of this coffee shop is 200 years old and they still have doors and windows in wood ! Its like you turn back in the time. you can also take a walk with your coffee and observe the ancestral buildings in the area its a big wow !
