Zoo
Nestled in Cleveland Park at 150 Cleveland Park Drive, the Greenville Zoo is a modest yet captivating destination showcasing a diverse array of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians from around the globe. Established in 1960 with a mission to foster an appreciation for nature and wildlife while promoting conservation education, this zoo offers an assortment of habitats housing African lions, giraffes, Amur leopards, domestic animals, reptiles, frogs, and snakes.
A nice and interesting zoo with a relaxed atmosphere and very few crowds, which made the visit more enjoyable. Around 20% of the enclosures were empty, which was a bit disappointing, but there were still enough animals to make the visit worthwhile. It took me about an hour to walk through the entire zoo, and overall, I’m glad I came. A pleasant and peaceful way to spend some time.
Volodymyr B — Google review
Smaller zoo which makes it great for toddlers! We were able to walk through in less than 2 hours. We purchased our tickets ahead of time, walked right in, and had no problems! They allow you to bring in outside food and drink as well which is always helpful with kids. The biggest attraction is the giraffes. We were able to feed them right at 10am when the exhibit opened. Would definitely recommend if you have kids in the area!
Abbie C — Google review
It's a small downtown zoo, so you have to have perspective. You can walk the entire thing while taking your time at each enclosure in 90 minutes. So if you are expecting the NC zoo size, then it's quite different. The variety of animals is quite good and on a calm and pleasant day you got to see everyone active. Distance to every animal is fairly close so getting pictures or seeing their movement is really easy. The entire park was clean, well laid out, and simple to navigate. Pricing was typical for concessions and souvenirs, and gate price was lower than your really big zoos which was nice to see. I was very impressed with what you were able to experience while being wedged into a near downtown area. I will come back.
Gregory R — Google review
Greenville zoo is a fun place for a family outing! If you can, I suggest you buy tickets online as it saves you $2 per ticket and all you have to do when you come to the gate is give the confirmation number and you are all set! I went on a Thursday and it wasn't that busy at all! I went with a friend and our young kids and they loved it! Especially the Orangutans and the Monkeys. We only had 2.5 hours to spend there including having our packed lunch which took a half hour of that time. We would have easily spent 3 hours in the zoo part and probably another hour at the park outside the zoo.
Esther L — Google review
This is a small zoo. It's beautifully maintained. The animal habitats are well-designed and constructed. The exotic animals, birds, reptiles, and tortoises we saw looked in peak condition. The Barnyard exhibit is empty. It is going to be rebuilt. There was no litter or graffiti. It was our first visit. We definitely plan to visit again.
Bobbers G — Google review
Such an amazing place to visit while in Greenville. From the expert volunteers to the mist tents to the staff to the animals, this zoo is a great destination for young and old visitors. Our 6 & 9yr old loved the giraffes, spotted African dogs (new) and reptiles that were all well kept and our guide educated us just enough to keep the kiddos engaged. We highly recommend this zoo. Side note, there's some construction for new exhibits but this won't put a damper on your visit. Also, it's not a huge zoo which is a plus as you can make it through with limited chance of kid meltdown.
Vincent R — Google review
Fun day at the zoo with the kids and grands. Small zoo and some exhibits were closed. But still a cute zoo to visit. Very hot the day we went. They had misting stations around zoo, which helped cool things off.
Keila N — Google review
Was awesome! Small zoo but has giraffes, Orangutan, some big cats, etc. Now is the perfect time to go as the animals were very active, including the Alligator!

Cleveland Park is a sprawling urban park spanning 122 acres along the Reedy River in Greenville. It is the city's largest park and offers various amenities such as tennis courts, playgrounds, volleyball court, softball field, picnic shelters, and a fitness trail with workout stations. Just absolutely beautiful and relaxing and there are all kinds of fun equipment to use and wheelchair friendly 😀

Such a fun park for volleyball and running paths!! The sand volleyball courts are new. I do wish they had better sand in there. They went cheap and used a very coarse sand that eats at your feet!
Dixon — Google review
Great place to spend a whole day! There is the zoo, three playground (check out Brooks Playground), bathrooms, picnic areas, pickleball and tennis courts and the swamp rabbit trail! Who could ask for anything more!

Very gorgeous park in the middle of the city with walking trails, shows in the park and places to relax and enjoy nature.

My dog loves this park. Today they had goats grazing so we stopped by and he wanted to play with them🤦🏽‍♀️. We entered through the stables entry side of the park.
Shunlee B — Google review
Wonderful park with a lot of parking. Many trails to head out on depending which direction you go and the playgrounds are great. Nicely situated around the Greenville Zoo which is great for a little stop and some extra walking to let the kids see the animals.

Duncan's Home Center is a local hardware store that offers a wide range of products including household tools, garden supplies, and home decor. Customers have praised the store for its friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always willing to assist with any needs. The welcoming atmosphere and personalized service make it a preferred choice over larger retailers. Whether you're in need of specific tools or hard-to-find items like screws or PVC pipes, Duncan's Home Center is the place to go for all your home improvement needs.
This place cannot fill a CO2 tank. Since my search was just for CO2, I didn't go past that it's probably a fine establishment. Just quite annoyed I wasted this time of my life because I got bad information.
Zach M — Google review
Man I love this hardware store they have neat and odd stuff, and it's old school super nice people that know what they're talking about too
Robby H — Google review
This store is exactly why I prefer my local hardware store over the big box retailers. Not only are they friendly, but the staff is knowledgeable and very helpful regardless of my needs. If you're looking for a hard to find screw, just a foot of PVC pipe, or a specific tool, this is the place to go!! Thank you!
Bob M — Google review
Great hardware store packed with almost everything you need, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Stephen B — Google review

Melonee G — Google review
Helpful nice. Specially Matt who was very knowledgeable, polite and super wise about all things a good Ole fashion hardware should know about
Ryan M — Google review
Best place to get propane from. If you don't have enough money to fill it up they will work with you.
HappyC M — Google review
In all honesty, I was headed to home depot to get some few home supplies and came across the place. I'm glad I did because it was a great shop. I really enjoyed shopping here. The owner of the store acknowledged me and asked if he could help in anyway as did many of the other employees. Everyone was super friendly and made shopping there welcoming and convenient. This place is the definition of local business and most people only need a few items anyhow so i can imagine this place will suit most people needs. If not, the owner said he could order anything you may need so hopefully that helps. Happy shopping!
