Seafood restaurant
The Coal Pot Restaurant is a beloved family-owned establishment located in Castries, St. Lucia, overlooking the Vigie marina. The restaurant's name pays homage to traditional island cooking methods and specializes in delectable seafood dishes such as St. Lucian crab back and saltfish with green fig, along with steaks, poultry, salads, and soups. The French chef at the helm has earned the nickname 'Chef LA' and ensures that guests enjoy a gastronomic experience.
Visited this restaurant last night with my family and wow. The ambient lighting and Bayfront view is beyond stunning. We enjoyed a few appetizers and I am still thinking about the mussels. The portion sizes were just right and the staff were very attentive. Probably my favourite dining experience of my trip.
Tiah A — Google review
The atmosphere was nice. I enjoyed the setting that was created, similar to a Bali inspired theme. The food was also decent. Not amazing, but still enjoyable. I was a bit let down by the level of service and also having some dirty utensils. As a visitor to St. Lucia, I was expecting more, based on feedback from the locals.
Brett S — Google review
Had the Dorado with garlic butter sauce and it was amazing. The fish was fresh, tender, and full of flavor with perfect sides. Beautiful waterfront setting with warm lighting and a peaceful breeze. Service was friendly, attentive, and made the evening feel special. 100% recommend The Coal Pot, it’s a must visit.
Kiana D — Google review
The Coal Pot is a great option if you’re looking for a place to eat in Castries. It’s located near George F. L. Charles Airport and Vigie Beach, with a beautiful waterside/marina view. The open, terrace-style seating makes it feel airy and relaxed, and you can really enjoy both the food and the scenery. A lovely spot to unwind.
Francine L — Google review
Sketchy road coming in but wow! Delicious food and beautiful restaurant. We reserved a waterfront table. I got the tuna and I have dietary restrictions so no butter and no oil and they managed to grill the tuna and use lemon instead!! I thought that was so creative because it tasted sooo good. The Dorado was also super good! There are mosquitos and I denied the bug spray offered because of the smell but I did wake up the next morning with a lot of bug bites, my fault, so use it. The water is gorgeous and there’s a turtle who likes to visit. You can also see crabs. Very dim lighting. Overall recommend trying this restaurant!
Ginny R — Google review
Amazing food. Great service. The perfect restaurant for a date. We drove there and will recommend to use a Susuki Jimmy or a similar vehicle as there is an open road to arrive there. Drive slowly and Be careful with the dogs that are sleeping near the gate entrance when leaving at night.
Arturo S — Google review
I can't believe how beautiful this restaurant was the pictures does that does it justice the atmosphere is so calm and soothing the decor is very eclectic everything has its own little meaning and purpose The staff was very helpful In there recommendation of what to choose the menu. I highly recommend for going to the Coal Pot

We had the pleasure of dining at Orlando's tonight in Soufriere, St Lucia. I have to say that the experience and the food were beyond amazing and we really enjoyed our evening. The dishes were creative, masterfully put together, and were elegant but also a great representation of the culture and the tastes of the area. Orlando himself is one of those people that you can tell is genuinely sincere, friendly, and loves what he does and everyone around him. We couldn't have felt more welcome and will be back. Thank you Orlando for the experience and the nice evening. Ko

We stopped here after a long day. It was getting close to this establishments closing time, but the sign out front said to knock. We are happy we did. They obviously had a slow night, but the owner Orlando offered to make us some to go boxes. While we waited for those, he sat us at the bar with Chris, where we had some very good conversations and libations. Twenty minutes later, we were back at our apartment with one of the best meals we have had on the island. Try not to be like us and show up to close to closing time. We will be retuirng tonight to get the full experience. But this was hands down one of the friendliest places we had the pleasure of stopping at.

Chef’s Dinner: Privaleged to attend a Caribbean gourmet dinner presentation and tasting with the chef Orlando himself . Prepared 2 dishes ; a cold gazpacho soup (guava base) & Caribbean grilled Tuna. Showed us how to make the dishes while entertaining us with wisdom & wit! Very unique experience !

Amazing l 5 course tasting menu dinner with my family / party of 6. The food was incredible. The rib on the bone was one of the best I ever had, as was the pumpkin/ carrot soup. We also had amazing risotto with king fish, chocolate brûlée (to die for), salad, a couple of complimentary snacks, and coconut pie! Orlando came over to our table to say hi and explain some dishes. We are tourists on vacation, but we would recommend this special restaurant to anyone. The staff was incredibly accommodating to dietary restrictions at our table as well.
Katie R — Google review
We had the best time at Orlando’s for our first dinner in Soufriere. So fresh and absolutely delicious. $75usd for a 5 course meal with dessert at the end. Had lobster bisque, amazing mango salad, incredible bbq chicken, and such fresh fish. From major foodies, we could not recommend this place more!
Arns — Google review
I stumbled upon Orlando’s the first night that I arrived on St. Lucia not knowing what an incredible gem it is. I was greeted by the chef and owner, himself, and told that he would try to accommodate me although I did not have a reservation (and this was on a Friday after Valentine’s Day). Throughout the evening, I learned Orlando’s award-winning history in the culinary world and had the pleasure of enjoying a multi-course delectable cuisine. Made with love for all of his guests. There is a slogan at the entrance that embodies his establishment. You truly leave as friends. This dining experience is not to be missed. Treat yourself to a unique experience not just on St. Lucia but in the culinary world. It’s like being at the chef’s table but that’s for every guest.
Claire J — Google review
This is the best restaurant in St. Lucia. Criteria: unparalleled innovation of exclusively local ingredients; perfection of every bite; complexity of layered flavors; elegance of presentation; range and beauty of Chef's talent. Orlando is an absolute master and it's a privilege to eat his creations. His "Ingredients without Passports" approach to fine dining presents a nightly tasting menu that never fails to amaze. Eve at the front of house is superb at pampering guests and ensuring each person's comfort is attended. The art and music of this beautifully presented restaurant makes every table feel exclusive, intimate. Chef truly thought of every detail, including locally carved custom purse holders. If you have one meal to eat in St. Lucia, eat it here. I've brought many well-traveled guests for dinner - my son's a chef - and all agree Orlando's should be on Michelin radar if it isn't already.

Naked Fisherman Restaurant

Mentioned on

Restaurant
Naked Fisherman Restaurant is a lively and fun-loving beachside seafood restaurant located below the Cap Maison Resort, nestled in a protected cove under a thatched-roof kitchen. It offers well-executed versions of bar favorites like Kobe burgers and calamari, as well as traditional St. Lucian dishes such as creole fish stew and saltfish. The restaurant boasts stunning vistas and warm hospitality, making it an ideal spot to enjoy delicious food alongside breathtaking views.
This is a slice of luxury. We booked for lunch and arrived at 10am. We knew we couldn’t hire beds on the beach but what we didn’t know is that because we had a reservation we could use a double bed attached to the restaurant. We had amazing views over the bay, sheltered from the blazing sun by a huge tree. The snorkelling here was great and in the rock pools we found lots of fishes and hermit crabs. The cocktails and food are one of the best we’ve experienced on the island. It’s expensive but it’s good. Great kids menu, our boys 5 & 8 ate all their food and enjoyed the puddings. I would definitely recommend a visit and making a day of it. It’s very special

The vibes in this place is everything. The drinks, food,(the seafood stew - easily the best thing we had on the entire island!, and split corn 'ribs', seafood mac & cheese) the location and music is almost perfect! The staff especially, are attentive, with spot on recommendations and are incredibly accommodating. *Side eye to a few pesky mosquito bites (have repellent handy especially in the shade). Loved our day here!
Molly C — Google review
What can I say… The food was absolutely delicious. While I did not taste everything, what I did taste was stunning. I would recommend getting there just before sunset and enjoying a drink on their beach. We got there just after sunset and enjoyed hearing the crashing waves while we indulged in our food. This to me is a perfect spot for any couple. The service was exemplary and friendly. The overall price of everything is comparable to what you would expect in the United States at a three or four star dining experience.
Nate B — Google review
Came over due to the inedible food at sandals and so glad we did. The place is 91 steps down from the street which also makes it 91 steps up so be aware of that. We were seated peoples and listed to some nice Caribbean music in the background which did not detract from the waves crashing on the beach. Our waitress was warm and gracious. We started with the corn ribs which were fantastic. Spicy, sweet. Great flavor. We also had the ceviche which was served with some tortilla chips and they were bright and flavorful. I had the Maui with pumpkin curry which was fresh and delicious. We also had jerk chicken skewers which was perfectly spicy and served with a great coleslaw which my spouse loved. Corkage was $35 US. Not an inexpensive meal but well worth it.
Scott K — Google review
If I could give this place 6 stars I would! The setting is breathtaking, the service is top notch and the food absolutely delicious. I had the seafood mac and cheese. Soo creamy with shrimp, mahi, clams and mussels! All together this was one of my favorite meals of my entire life!
Mike E — Google review
A unique beach restaurant in the north of Saint Lucia. Proper dining on the beach with the active sea in the background. It is an amazing experience. The food is tasty and worth every one of the near 100 stairs to get to it. If you ate sinfully, the climb back up is good pennance. But don't worry, there is a nice, thoughtful resting place halfway up or down, depending on which direction you're moving. The staff are engaging and warm. It's a no cash restaurant.
Louis L — Google review
We made a reservation but it didn’t seem like we needed it when we came in early December for lunch. We ordered the hummus, pork skewers and the calamari. The hummus and local bread was our favorite. Great vibes and good music. Nice and secluded beach with a hammock on the rock wall. Down 91 steps but easily worth it for a beautiful secluded beach with a nice patio style restaurant.
Kate S — Google review
Complete slice of paradise. One of the best days in St Lucia. We booked for 1.30pm lunch. Parking is available on the road, and then it's 91 steps down to the beach front restaurant which is secluded, calm, and serene. The cocktails and food were some of the best we had in St Lucia. Particularly the Pina Coladas. Price is on the expensive side, but worth it. By eating at the restaurant, you can use the double bed sun loungers attached to the restaurant, giving you a sheltered, comfortable location to rest, with amazing views across the bay and easy access to the bar & beach. The sea was warm, clear and calm, with a couple of loungers out on the water for you to bathe on. Lots of tropical fish and crabs to see. The beach was clean, with perfect white sand, quiet and spacious, you feel like you're on a private beach, away from the noise and crowds. There's a shower available and bathroom facilities. Payment is cash or card. Remember you'll need to climb 91 steps back up to your car! Best day & best beach in St Lucia.

Big Chef Steakhouse, a renowned restaurant in Castries for over 20 years, is a top dining destination in St. Lucia. Specializing in premium USA-certified Angus steaks prepared by award-winning chefs to perfection, the menu also features fresh seafood and crisp salads. The full-service bar and lounge are staffed with some of the island's best bartenders.
One of the best, if not the best, dinning experiences I had in St Lucia. Staff is amazing, helpful and great service. Owner was present, helpful and greeted many guests. More importantly, the food was even better. Pictures below. After almost 13 days on the island....this place is certainly one not to miss especially if you are on the north side of the island.

We had an amazing dinner at Big Chef Steakhouse. We were welcomed by the hostess even though we didn't have a reservation. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium temperature, and the fries were well seasoned. The dessert was good, too. I wasn't crazy about the drink I ordered because it was a mixture of a mojito and a margarita. All in all, if you are visiting St. Lucia, definitely check out this restaurant and dress up because it is fine dining.
Dalia M — Google review
Big Chef in Rodney Bay was such a beautiful dining experience. I had the special of the night, the tuna with Japanese rice, and it was incredible. I also had a classic margarita and it was perfect, smooth and refreshing. The food was full of flavor and presented with so much care. The service was very professional and the atmosphere felt elegant and upscale. This was one of my favorite meals in St Lucia and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.

The atmosphere is both romantic and elegant, perfect for a special occasion or a night out. The food is simply divine. The chefs expertly incorporate local flavors into their dishes, creating a unique and delicious culinary experience. Every bite is a flavor explosion. The service is impeccable. Our waitress, Kissy, was attentive, knowledgeable, and provided excellent recommendations. Her friendly demeanor made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Big Chefs Steakhouse is a must-visit for anyone seeking a fine dining experience in a beautiful setting.

Kudos to the chefs - the food was amazingly delicious. Everything was seasoned to perfection and the steak just melt in your mouth. Wish I could visit at least once a month just to eat that steak 🤤 Staff were great and attentive. I would definitely be visiting again 10/10

This was the best dining experience that I've had in SLU thus far! Everything I ate that night was a solid 10/10. The service was immaculate, and the ambience was superb. I will definitely return.

Amazing place !! The food is off the chart good. The service by Danny was just incredible. She was prompt , friendly , fun and became an integral part of the night. I have been to excellent restaurants throughout North America and I would rank this one right with them. Outstanding
Huntersville N — Google review
The food was absolutely wonderful!! We were there celebrating my wife’s birthday and everything went well beyond my expectations. I had the Sea Bass and my wife chose the NY Strip as her main course, when I tell you that Sea Bass was wonderful it’s an understatement. I never finish a plate when we’re out dining; that was not a problem this evening, we both devoured our meals in record setting times. I would visit this establishment again with no apprehension on what I would be expecting. Great Job to the Chef and the establishment…

Martha's Tables is a cozy, no-frills eatery located in the Soufriere area of St. Lucia. Situated on Martha's terrace, this local-owned restaurant offers a warm and casual atmosphere with plastic chairs and wooden tables. The menu features ultimate comfort food including grilled meats, seafood (especially shrimp), macaroni, plantains, rice, beans, potatoes, and vegetables.
Our last meal in St. Lucia couldn’t have been better! We both loved our food, especially the barbecue sauce pork ribs—so flavorful and absolutely delicious. I had the prawns with garlic butter sauce and the fish of the day (tuna), with creole sauce, served with potato salad and macaroni—such great value! And SUPER DELICIOUS! The lady who served us was always smiling and so friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Tip: Go there at 12pm, as it will get busy and the service can be a bit slow. As they have limited staff!
Jichao B — Google review
Food is so good! We got the shrimp plate and it had so much variety to it. It had mac and cheese, coleslaw, potato salad, plantains, and rice and all of it was yummy. I will say, if you're on a time crunch you may want to skip this restaurant. It's worth the wait but it does take a long time to come out.
Adina D — Google review
Lovely atmosphere, service and food! The ladies working here are very welcoming and had good recommendations. I tried the fresh homemade sorrel juice and garlic prawns, both were delicious I am so glad we found this wonderful place. My partner is vegetarian and we both had wonderful meals here and really enjoyed getting to try local creole food. The food portions are very generous and we had a lovely selection of aubergine, plantain, carrots, rice, green banana, kale, potato salad, macaroni cheese, potato salad and beans. Plenty for both vegetarians and meat eaters! The prices are also very reasonable and we spent around 32USD for two people for all of our food and drinks
Betsy E — Google review
Martha's Tables provides delicious local cuisine at a reasonable price. They're only open for lunch and well worth the trip. I had the fish of the day which was delicious, as were all the sides included with the meal. My lunch also included the best potato salad I've ever had which was a pleasant surprise.
Corey L — Google review
Nice Creole lunch near sugar beach. Reasonable than the resorts nearby. You get mains between 40 to 65 EC and appetizers for 15 to 20 EC. Nice mother daughter duo running the place from 12 noon to 3 pm daily. This is a lunch place...so plan accordingly as this place is not open during dinner hours
Su C — Google review
Great place to stop and eat lunch after hiking petit piton. Food portions are generous and so yummy. Martha's special sauce is a must!
Mya F — Google review
We loved our lunch at Martha's table. The food was absolutely delicious. As others might have mentioned, no need to call for a reservation, but I would imagine it helps. Our server was so friendly and the outdoor seating area was very comfortable with a gentle breeze the entire time. We stopped here after a trip to the Piton's waterfall and hot-springs just up the street. We both had the typical St. Lucian lunch, but this was made with much more love and flavor than other places we went to during our trip. The rum punch is a must and the hospitality was fantastic.

We stopped at Martha's tables for lunch before heading down to the beach and are so glad that we got a chance to eat here. The food was incredible and the service was very friendly. Prices were very reasonable too. Highly recommend!

Beautifully located restaurant by the waterfront. We had dinner here and the food was cooked to perfection. Very attentive and friendly staff (honoured request in our reservation for a specific table for the occasion).

Location is on the Harbour, nice view, nice breeze. Terrible service, the young waitress spilled an entire drink tray over one of our party members. Still charged her a full price for meal and drink. Food is fine, excellent presentation to compensate for okay taste. This is one of the better restaurants in the area.
Rados S — Google review
We celebrated our anniversary here- perfect spot! The staff went out of their way to mention it, and were so on top of things. Even as a picky eater- all of the food is so good! We loved every bite. Steak was cooked perfectly too. The drinks were delicious and great mix. Highly recommend visiting here!

A lovely setting, with delicious food for an Anniversary dinner. We had the top half of the menu (all appetizers in pics) with a crisp bottle of white. Every dish was delicious (special mention to the curry, mussels, goat cheese tart and liver, mushroom pastry dishes). The staff makes the place exceptional, paired with the view and it's easily one of the best spots on the Island. Thank you all!

I had an amazing time here dining for dinner for my birthday. I highly recommend it! 😁 The quality of the food was exceptional, the staff was friendly and I felt well served.

All I can say is wow , starting with the location and the decor of the restaurant. Right on the edge of the lagoon with a lovely view and the restaurant is so elegantly decorated. The staff were very welcoming and sorted us with a table of six without hesitation. The the service , this is second to none. We were recommended some of the specials. If you haven’t tried lion fish then you need to try it here. It was cooked so delicately, the tuna steak was excellent. Within the party we tried; snails, frogs legs and mussels. The wine selection was fabulous as were my vodka martinis. All in all I would highly recommend jacques waterfront dining.

This waterfront restaurant made for an incredible anniversary dinner! While there wasn’t designated parking, we found a spot near some houses and enjoyed a short walk to the restaurant. The staff were attentive and warm, making the experience even better. My husband and I both ordered the grilled chicken with pan-fried mango, served with fresh veggies—it was delicious. For dessert, I had the cheesecake, and my husband opted for the crème brûlée. Even though it was dark by 6:30 pm, the underwater lights created a lovely ambiance. They even surprised us with an anniversary dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this place for a memorable dining experience!

We had a delicious dinner here for my friend's birthday. An extensive food and drink menu, every dish was packed with flavour, cooked to perfection and washed down with superb red wine options. This place would get a six out of six if that were an option. The food is absolutely amazing and infused with chocolate, which is the theme of the hotel. The service is a 10 out of 10 they even bring your floating breakfast downstairs and serve it to you in the pool. The atmosphere is one of the most relaxing I’ve ever experienced, and the view is breathtaking. If you’re in St. Lucia, please stop by this place wear your bathing suit and head downstairs!

The Caribbean BBQ Night at Rabot Restaurant & Cacao Bar is absolutely amazing The setting is stunning, with view of the Pitons creating the perfect backdrop. The food is exceptional—bursting with Caribbean flavors and subtle cacao infusions that make each dish unique. The live music adds a vibrant local touch, and the service is warm and attentive. Easily one of the most memorable dining experiences in Saint Lucia!

I always have such an exceptional time here. My recent birthday dinner made the day all that more amazing. Lunch is also always great. The food is always fantastic and the wait staff is attentive without getting in the way of you enjoying your dining experience. Plus, the view makes the entire experience so much better.
Nelly C — Google review
A scenic, open concept restaurant with basic, yet tasty food. You definitely feel like you’re outside, while being sheltered from the sun. This restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the pitons in the background. While we did have a reservation made for our party of 9, the service was quite slow and the wait for food took nearly an hour. My meal actually took 20 minutes longer to come out than the rest of my party which wasn’t ideal. The cocoa-infused food and drinks tasted good, however, you are definitely paying more for the view/ experience. The food is a bit overpriced, but that is normal for the Carribean. Nonetheless, we had a lovely lunch- a must see in Saint Lucia! 🇱🇨

Restaurant
Treetop Restaurant and Bar offers a unique dining experience with its treetop location, providing stunning panoramic views of the island. The restaurant serves a fusion of Indian and Caribbean cuisine, offering a fixed menu with Indian-inspired dishes. Guests can enjoy classic island sunsets while savoring delicious food and cocktails. Reservations are highly recommended, especially for outside tables to fully appreciate the breathtaking views.
A must-do in Soufriere! We tried to book but there was no availability, so we tried to walk in instead and the amazing staff managed to squeeze us in! We're so pleased they did because this was one of the highlights of our trip. The location - It's a very bumpy drive to TreeTop Restaurant and you think you're going into the wilderness - have faith & keep going! You'll be directed to a parking space (it can be tight, but trust the staff!) You'll then be led up steps into a tropical paradise, surrounded by trees, flowing water and flowers, with stunning views of the Pitons. The drinks - We enjoyed a delicious welcome cocktail (alcoholic and non-alcoholic are available). We also enjoyed surprise cocktails made by the bar team. There's no drinks menu as such, you simply describe things you like/dislike, the vibe, the feeling, & the team will work their magic to create something unique for you. Drinks were very reasonably priced and the experience was fun. The food - Treetop Restaurant offers a set menu for around $70 USD per person. Each course had 3 different dishes on it, each cooked and seasoned to perfection. Each dish was delicious, unique and complimented the others. Portion sizes are slightly smaller than typical restaurants but this is made up for in flavour and we were completely satisfied. Service and atmosphere - we enjoyed live music from a great steel drum player which made it hard to resist dancing. The service was impeccable and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was enchanting. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough great things about this place. Food and drinks were phenomenal but the staff made the experience superb! I was greeted with a smile and literally everyone there looked like they loved what they were doing, which immediately made the atmosphere so much lighter and more fun! I got lucky to be seated at one of their best tables with a lovely view of the pitons. Overall, great experience and yummy food!

We visited the Treetop Restaurant when we stayed at Crystals for two nights, and it was the highlight of our stay where my fiancé proposed and it couldn’t have been a more beautiful and romantic setting! Located high above in the rainforest with panoramic views of the Pitons and lush jungle, it felt like dining in a dream! The atmosphere was magical, with steel drums, and surrounded by nature - the perfect place for a proposal or any special occasion! The staff and owners were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. Huge thanks to Solange and her team for her warmth and hospitality and for helping my fiancé with the proposal. The food was exceptional - a rich fusion of Caribbean and Indian flavors! Every dish and cocktail was tasty and the presentation and service made the experience unforgettable. It’s easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had - 10/10! From the amazing food and service, to the beautiful views, to the proposal of a lifetime – everything was perfect. We can’t wait to return one day, it will always hold a special place in our hearts. Highly recommend! Thanks to the amazing Treetop team for making our stay so special! ❤️

We are on cloud 9 from our dinner experience here! Upon walking in the owner stood up from her table to greet us and made sure to wish us a happy anniversary. The bartender Hamilton then gave us our welcome cocktail and made us several drinks based on the mood/flavor we were feeling. The whole staff was so friendly and welcoming and just made sure that we had a great time. The food was also outstanding- we loved the seafood soup, the cashew chicken and of course the bread! This was the best dinner we could have imagined for our anniversary, and we would not have have wanted to celebrate anywhere else!

Terrific scenic dinner here. Beautiful views from high above the town. Kind, inviting staff. Excellent service. Delicious and creative food. First time ever having creole / Indian fusion. Loved the whole experience. Well worth the trip out from the resort.

This place is truly wonderful, steel pans and sunset views are mesmerising and we had the best time. They look after you extremely well/ and definitely treat you on your birthday! Come at 5 pm to enjoy the best sunset

For $70USD per person it’s for sure on the pricier side but it’s worth every penny. This is some of the best food I’ve ever had, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is gorgeous. I recommend an earlier reservation so you can catch the view before sunset.

Food was absolutely incredible. It was a prefixed 3 course meal for $70 USD, which for this island is not so bad. We were given a complimentary drink upon arrival, and were congratulated on our honeymoon. The seafood soup was amazing, along with the bruschetta. The main entree which had chicken and beef served with rice was very good as well! And the view was breathtaking. Highly recommend !

Nestled high on a mountain above Soufriere, The Beacon Restaurant offers stunning 180-degree views of the town, sea, and the iconic Pitons. The vibrant Caribbean colors of the restaurant create a lively atmosphere for enjoying a buffet lunch featuring local soups, salads, meats, and delectable desserts like bi-colored ice cream and cheesecake. This dining spot merges Caribbean ingredients with international flavors to create exquisite menus.
We came here so many times—it quickly became a favorite! The food, the staff, the view… absolutely stunning! For just $20, the buffet lunch offers plenty of food, loads of variety, plus a juice, a glass of water, and dessert—all included. Huge thanks to the amazing staff, always smiling and welcoming. I especially loved their hospitality—and the Creole chicken was a standout!

A must-visit for anyone who loves bold local flavor, warm hospitality, and unforgettable views. The buffet was great, each dish full of rich, dynamic flavor that truly celebrates local cuisine, from the food to the drinks. The setting is equally impressive, with views of the Pitons in the background adding a whole other level of magic to the experience. It’s clearly a popular spot! There was a full house during our visit, and people kept pouring in. Though a bit strained, the service was attentive. The staff were warm, friendly, and made you feel welcome. It’s cash only, so be sure to plan accordingly.

Ok so the service was sketch and the food….blah. BUT THE COFFEE!!! Best in the world. Place was clean clean; I could eat off the floor here. Super quiet too. We were the only ones there on off season. Nice view. I will go back for coffee daily when I return.

We had the most incredible experience at the Beacon restaurant! So grateful that our guide with Exclusive Tours & Transfers (David) recommended it! Not only was all of the food was incredible (personal favorite for me was the pasta salad and boiled plantains with fresh squeezed passion fruit juice, my hubby LOVED the beef stew and fish fingers) but the VIEWS of the pitons and Soufriere while you are dining… stunning. 10/10 recommend! This is a must visit on your St. Lucia trip.

Matthew's Rooftop Restaurant is a great option for local cuisine with stunning panoramic views of Rodney Bay. The friendly and professional staff are welcoming and create an atmosphere of warmth. There is also plenty to drink and enjoy, including cocktails on the rooftop terrace.
The place has a nice vibe. Our server was not really friendly. I ordered the fried snapper and it came.with salad and peas and rice. The food was delicious. The price was reasonable. My friend had the fish burger which came with salad. It was good.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 My husband and I had a wonderful date night at Matthew’s Rooftop Restaurant, and it was nothing short of amazing! 💫 From the moment we arrived, everything—from the food 🍽️, to the atmosphere 🌃, to the service 👌🏽—was truly 5 out of 5. I ordered the Mama’s Chicken and my husband had the Curried Chicken—both dishes were absolutely mouthwatering 😋🔥. Honestly, I wouldn't change a thing and would order the exact same meal next time! We were seated on the balcony, which made the experience even more special 🌅. The view overlooking Rodney Bay was beautiful, and it was the perfect spot to enjoy our meal while soaking in the lively energy below. Dining under the open sky with the soft Caribbean breeze was unforgettable 🌴✨. After dinner, we took a short, relaxing stroll through the mall downstairs 🛍️, before heading back to our stay at Coco Palm Resort—which, by the way, is another place I’d highly recommend for a perfect getaway! 🏨💕 Whether you're planning a romantic date night 💑, a girls’ night out 💃🏽, or just kicking it with the crew 🧑🏽‍🤝‍🧑🏽, Matthew’s Rooftop Restaurant offers a vibe that fits every occasion. Can’t wait to go back! 💖🍴🌆

We had a fantastic experience at Matthew's during our recent stay in St Lucia. We weren't quite sure what to have, but the helpful gentleman outside the restaurant helped us by suggesting some of the most popular local dishes. Good value for money, fantastic service with staff who look after you very well

I had dinner at Matthew's a few weeks ago and had a pretty mediocre experience overall. The restaurant was not too busy, many empty tables, but the service we had was slow. We were seated around 8:40pm, ordered maybe 10 minutes later, and received our food by 9:36pm, nearly an hour later. The food did not taste like it was freshly made, either, to explain the time it took. I ordered the Cream Penne Pasta with Chicken and my partner got the Baked BBQ Chicken, and both were fairly average. My pasta visually looked messy and unappealing. I also got a rum punch, but it had an overly sweet taste, which I didn't like. Overall, I can't recommend this restaurant when there are others, much better, within walking distance.

The views from this restaurant and the ambiance really belongs on a postcard. We were just passing through St Lucia for a few days and we stayed near Rodney Bay. The locals raved about how much we would love this place and we did! The food had soul - delicious and unique. So many beautiful people came and went when we were there enjoying the sunset. Great place to chill out.

We Came from Toronto and visited Matthew's Roof top. We came in with a party of 17 and the servers and chef did an excellent job. Food came out much faster than expected. The staff was friendly and exceeded all of our expectations. When I come back to St Lucia we will be sure to visit Matthew's rooftop again. Thank you for the wonderful service.

George F. L. Charles Airport

Airport
George F. L. Charles Airport, also known as SLU, is situated just outside Castries and is a mere 8-minute drive to the city center. It's a small airport with duty-free stores, a coffee cafe, a bank, souvenir shops, and car rental services available. The airport has tight security and offers airport taxi services for travelers' convenience. Despite its size, it caters to small Caribbean airlines and private planes.
It's a really small airport so once you've landed it's a short stroll up to immigration then a few steps over to customs. All team members that we encountered were helpful and genuinely friendly.
Nheru T — Google review
George F. L. Charles Airport, nestled near the picturesque Vigie Beach in Saint Lucia, offers a unique travel experience with its convenient location and array of amenities. Despite its small size, the airport boasts a variety of facilities including duty-free shops, a cozy cafe, banking services, souvenir stores, and car rental companies, ensuring travelers' needs are met. The compact car park and stringent security measures contribute to the airport's efficient operation. Additionally, the availability of airport taxis provides seamless connectivity, enhancing the overall pleasant travel experience for those flying with regional airlines like Liat.

The safety and security of every country starts with immigration and customs. So I would not fault the staff I encountered for the resolute and focus presence at the airport today, May 2nd. However, coming from a country where hospitality is prominent, I wasn't quite pleased with the lack of pleasantries at this airport. And that observation was shared by other travellers I met on the outside. No greetings. No, welcome to Saint Lucia. No, enjoy your stay. I get that they have a job to do. But when your country was chosen from many as the country of choice to visit for vacation or to attend an event like the Jazz Music Festival, it wouldn't hurt or affect the job if the staff express pleasantries or some politeness. I've landed here in transit many times before, but this was my first visiting Saint Lucia for vacation purposes. This has not affected my first few hours of being here. The staff at the hotel where I am at is awesome and quite hospitable.

Argyle International Airport

International airport
Argyle International Airport is a crucial infrastructure asset in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, serving as the country's first international airport. It acts as the primary gateway to the nation, offering connections to major airports such as Miami International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport, and London Heathrow Airport. The airport boasts modern facilities and friendly staff who provide excellent customer service.
Just a few years old, the newly built airport is nice and a huge step up from the previous one...now an international airport with the big carriers now able to fly in and out direct...no need to stop off in Barbados to connect...readily available taxis with plenty of parking, clean and nicely appointed...a 15-20 minutes drive will take you on to the Villa area where there's lots of beachfront and sea views accommodations for all budgets, at first I thought not much is here for an upgraded airport until you head upstairs in the departure lounge for the big aircrafts with boarding bridges, nice shops with duty-free, bar and restaurant with a food court, there's even a higher level for VIP guests, so definitely in line with international standards.

Argyle International Airport is a wonderful welcome to the Caribbean! The design and decor embrace vibrant, tropical colors that make you feel the island spirit right away. From the murals to local artwork, the decor brings a unique and lively charm to the airport. The staff are friendly, courteous, and quick to offer a smile, making the experience smooth from start to finish. Even during busy times, there was a sense of calm, and everything was well-organized. The airport's layout is traveler-friendly, with clear signage that makes navigating a breeze. Argyle is a great start and end to your stay on these beautiful islands. I look forward to my next trip here!

The main airport in Saint Vincent is Argyle International. Apparently, they built a new terminal a few years ago. It is not impressive at all. Food choices are lousy, hardly any shopping and people who work there are clueless about the needs for frequent travelers. Check in counter staff, for First or Business Class on American Airlines are un knowledgeable. Do they realize that for those of travelers who have paid top dollar (US and not EC), in First and/or Business Class need enhanced service and at least, a lounge. They laughed at me when I asked where it was. But hello, there is a lounge. And guess what? It is a VIP lounge and it is only for Diplomats. Really? So frequent travelers pay, big bucks, to support and travel through here, but it is the politicians who gets the lounge. Gates are chaotic, no orderly departure traffic and announcements are hurried and unclear. Don’t get me wrong. St. Vincent is a stunning island. Lovely people, fantastic food, superb music and that magnetic inviting weather. But this airport needs serious work. Why do we have to pay for these kind of expensive cabin airline tickets to fly in and out of here, when we do not get adequate and high class service?
Peter M — Google review
I recently traveled through Argyle International Airport, the airport is relatively small but has a couple of nice amenities, including two souvenir stores and a convenient eating area. There is a food court upstairs. the air conditioning didn’t seem to work very well, making it quite warm and uncomfortable. Additionally, our flight was delayed, and the waiting area was noisy and a bit chaotic, as there weren't enough seats.
NirzVlogs — Google review
Nice building with adequate seating in appropriate areas. Well kept. Restrooms reasonably clean. Immigration and security lines adequately staffed, wait time minimal. Shopping is standard with adequate selection of local goods / souvenirs. When we arrived in evening, there was no organization of the taxi process, e.g. tourist-aware airports usually have a person who gives arriving passengers a ticket showing standard taxi fare, which provides some reassurance one is paying the correct cost. Adding this would have made our experience a bit better. Lastly, we came to love St. Vincent, but some passengers may not enjoy seeing Castro and Chávez seemingly glorified inside this airport near the VIP lounge. Yeah maybe they helped develop the airport (?), but do the local leaders understand that displaying this is not going to feel good to some of their visitors? Could you pay your tribute in a different more neutral way? I thought that St. Vincent was trying to promote tourism to help the local economy, if so, might it be better for business to be less transparent on your politics/allies? Thankfully local leaders are at least clever enough to display this only to departing passengers.

It's a great place bars to hang out, and no matter what time u get there, a taxi is always available to take u where you want, and the price is right and up to date.

Argyle International was a nice modern airport. Very small, the day I departed AIA there were only 5 flights, with 4 going to Barbados. Not much selection on food once you're through security and some items were unavailable. The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful, everyone always had a smile on their face.

Hewanorra International Airport

International airport
Airport
Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) is the main point of entry for most air travelers visiting Saint Lucia. Situated near Vieux Fort, it serves as a hub for large aircraft arriving from North America and Europe. Travelers can arrange affordable transportation and private chef services through various booking options. Shuttle buses, luxury cars, or helicopters are available for transfers to resorts from the airport. Despite its small size, the airport offers a few restaurants and friendly staff.
It is what it is, a small airport on a small island. Yes, it’s hot and crowded and has very little shopping. But there are some positives…there’s a Sandals Lounge upon arrival and the Iyanola Executive Lounge upon departure. Find these places, they make the wait much better. Also, we checked in and out very quickly. It’s probably a 2 or 3 star airport, but it’s a 4 if you know how to navigate it.
Mike T — Google review
There are not enough chairs to handle the number of traveller's so be prepared to stand or sit on the floor. No place to charge phones either. There are a few places to get something to eat and drink and a few shops that offer some great gifts. All of our flights required a long walk under a covered sidewalk and then out in the open to steps...it was pretty cool. This is the only airport I have ever visited where they reopened the plane door to let on a tardy passenger. Unbelievable.
Seth G — Google review
The airport's check-in and security processes functioned adequately, providing a relatively smooth experience. However, the overall infrastructure presents significant challenges to an efficient travel experience. Navigating the terminal, particularly during peak hours, proved to be a frustrating endeavor. Furthermore, the available amenities and services within the airport fall short of expected standards. Ultimately, the airport's shortcomings detract from an otherwise essential aspect of modern travel. The current situation regarding seating arrangements could be improved. The lack of air conditioning creates an uncomfortable environment. It is also noticeable how overcrowded the space becomes during peak hours. Perhaps the prices of the food could be reevaluated to better align with the overall experience. Consequently, these factors collectively detract from an otherwise enjoyable experience. The customer service experience at the Mano duty-free shop was notably unpleasant. The staff members demonstrated a lack of assistance, creating a frustrating environment. Their unhelpful attitudes detracted significantly from the shopping experience. This behavior ultimately reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. A more customer-focused approach would greatly benefit the business's reputation. They should not be working with the public. Maybe it's time to replace them.
Chip H — Google review
This airport is really small. There's not a lot to do or see in here. We had to stand to entire time (2hrs) while waiting on our flight. The resort was 2 hrs away from the airport.
Andre Y — Google review
Worst airport ever! Very dirty, ceiling was leaking and customer service was horrible. In the main hall there were only 15 seats and 28 disability chairs….. BA staff were very unprofessional and very confused tbh. The arrival however was very smooth.
Karolina — Google review
I travelled on the last flight out of UVF (British Airways to London) and I never had many issues. I did get chosen for a more thorough search and questioning, but the staff were professional and I was on my way pretty quickly. I cant find fault with being airside in under 20 mins. Its important to note that this is a small international airport on a Caribbean island. You will not get the number of facilities that you get at a larger airport. Its unreasonable to expect what you'd get at Gatwick. Prices of some of the snacks are in line with other airports however (rip off) There are souvenir shops here for last min purchases for yourself and loved ones, but best thing about this place is alcohol. There are 2 shops where you can purchase alcohol and tobacco (ensure you get there before 8 or 8:30pm for those on the last flight out). For the rum lovers... you can definitely get your rum here before you leave. At prices definitely cheaper than the UK. There is Chairmans Reserve, Bounty, Marigot Bay... (Admiral Rodney is more expensive obviously being a premium rum, but its cheaper to buy that direct from St. Lucia Distilleries). I got 1 litre of Bounty Dark for $17.00, which is £12-13 which imo is a bargain. Another great buy are the massive bottles of Chairmans original and Bounty Gold (make sure you don't go over your alcohol limit). Dont bother buying non St. Lucia alcohol here (e.g. the Bajan rum). Its too expensive. Keep your purchases strictly local.
Jay — Google review
For such a small, outdated airport, the price of mediocre food and last minute souvenirs is a ripoff ($30 for chicken tenders and a water bottle, $8-12 for a magnet). Limited seating during peak hours, tight areas walking around, no place to charge your phone, coffee shop is also closed for renovation currently.
D B — Google review
The airport is fine however we waited 2 hours for a taxi into Mexico City. Busses were even longer and everyone seems to think this is normal. I cannot fathom how a major airport cannot organise enough ground transport. I would avoid this airport at all costs

Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport

International airport
Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport offers a pleasant arrival experience with its tropical surroundings and friendly staff. While not very large, the airport provides adequate facilities and services for travelers. Visitors can find restaurants, bars, and shops both inside and outside the terminal, making it convenient to grab a bite or do some shopping. The process of picking up rental cars is straightforward with shuttle services available.
So my rating is a 4.5. The old airport probably wasn't very nice. It's being renovated as I sit here awaiting a return flight to the US. When we arrived over a week ago, deplaning _ baggage claim was very quick. Inbound passport control was very efficient. But, perhaps due to the renovation, it was quite confusing finding the rental car pickup. It will eventually be right there for you before you exit the terminal on the lower level, but for now those offices are not open and there's no signage in French or English. Zippo. When you come back here to leave Martinique, it's pretty easy. So you check in on the lower level, where you enter. For AA at least, they opened the queue exactly 3 hrs before the flight. Mid week, this place is pretty much empty. Their version of TSA didn't ask for removal of shoes or belts, at least for our group, and we were just about the only ones going through the line. Weekends, I've been told, can be *mobbed. But on our Thursday mid day, a total breeze. The departure area is the upstairs area, and it's new & quite nice. Shopping, and some cafe like places.
John I — Google review
We came through Martinique to catch our crusie ship. It was late when we arrived and was thankful there were taxis available to take us to the port which was $35 Euros or $ 40 US. Some taxis don't accept US so I recommend changing your cash if you can. Our departure however was not horrible. I will not recommend using this airport only if it's the last resort. We arrived 3 hours before and boarding opened 1 hour before the flight time. The departure time displayed board was wrong to begin with. Our boarding pass stated gate 12 which was on the other end of the airport. Our flight was scheduled to leave 5.15pm at 4.45 there was no announcement or Caribbean Airlines representative at the desk. One of the person in our group got a text msg informing her that boarding is at gate 9. When we went ot inquire the person at counter 9 was very rude to us. Eventually we found out that boarding is at gate 3 instead. Which is on the side of the airport. The representative at the counter did not apologize for the delay whatsoever. We had to wait another 15 mins to board the plane because it was not ready after walking through the ramp. Our flight was delayed further because of the confusion some of the customers got lost and got stuck in an elevator. The flight left 1 hour later. I will never visit Martinique and don't recommend it to anyone. There is no food court.

First experience in Martinique went well. When landing, it was pleasant to see some coconut trees in the airport (comparing to all the concret buildings with no trees in most airports). The airport is not very big thus it took us a while to get the luggages which was understandable as we came in the school holiday season in France thus many tourists. It is not a mordent airport but all facilities are ok and the staff were super nice. Would definitely come back to visit the island. The return trip was more chaotic - when we arrived 3 hours before, there was already a huge queue for all flights (mainly going back to France). Luckily the security let us cut the line in the end since we had a small kid.
Chris G — Google review
One of the worst international airports I've been to. The staff speaks very little English, everything is overpriced, and there is only one food option after security. Furthermore, there was no information provided about our flight delay. We ended up waiting for over four hours and had to find updates ourselves on the airline's app.
Mikołaj L — Google review
The airport gave me a nightmare, instead of a pleasant vacation finish. No AC, the lady in the cafeteria at the "international airport" doesn't speak any word of English. Plus, they can't even give up-to-date info about flights. Mine should start at 17.15, and at 17.35, we didn't even start boarding. No information, no one cares
Thomas M — Google review
Looks modern but very poor processes within it. Very long hot passport queues with 4 people checking- no automatic machines, even though most people are French. Security very poor, looking at boarding cards at this stage slows it all down. Hot glass airbridges. Why don’t they look at other airports and follow best practices
