Had such a wonderful afternoon enjoying the sulphur spring pools. My skin felt amazing afterwards. Would definitely recommend but can get busy if lots of tourists are coming in.
This is a must visit! We visited while on an excursion and loved it so much we went back two days later. The volcano is incredibly cool to see, guides were informative on the history & how the volcano works. The mud bath is so soft and our skin still feels great. A couple vendors outside too. Without a tour there it was quiet and peaceful, absolutely a great time!!
Such a unique and unforgettable stop! I didn’t do the official tour, but I was still able to walk through the volcanic area, stop at the interpretation center, waterfall along the way. Being that close to the hot, bubbling springs was surreal; and yes, the scent of sulfur fills the air and adds to the whole atmosphere. But the absolute highlight for me was bathing in the mineral-rich hot springs. I covered myself in the sulfur mud and soaked in the naturally heated pools, which sit at around 100°F. It was heavenly!!!My skin felt unbelievably soft and refreshed afterward. Days later, my skin was still sooo smooth. Like a natural spa treatment straight from the Earth. It was so good, I ended up coming back for a second visit. There are also souvenirs available at the entrance if you want a little keepsake. Truly a must-do experience if you’re visiting the island!
Sulphur Springs in St. Lucia is famous as the world’s only drive‑in volcano, located in Soufrière. It’s a geothermal wonder where visitors can enjoy therapeutic mud baths, hot springs, and guided tours of the volcanic ✨ Why You Should Visit Sulphur Springs blends natural science, wellness, and adventure. Whether you’re interested in geology, relaxation, or simply a unique Caribbean experience, it’s a must‑see. Many visitors describe it as both surreal and invigorating — a chance to literally bathe in a volcano.
Such a stinky experience! And well worth it. The mud plastered all over us followed by a hot bath was refreshing and soothing. Wish I lived close enough to do this on a regular basis. Don't miss it!
Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! When we got to the baths and mud, it was a little overwhelming with the number of people, but we still didn’t have to wait at all. You don’t actually get into a mud bath. You get into the sulfur baths, then right when you get out of the water, you can spread the mud all over yourself. It takes about 10 minutes for it to dry completely. Then they have black mud that you can decorate with or you can leave a tip with one of their artists for them to create a design on you. I was really uncomfortable with someone I don’t know touching me like that, so he offered to just give me black splatters by flicking the mud on, which I thought was very considerate and still allowed me to be a part of the fun! After you take your pictures, you can get back into the hot Springs and rinse off the mud. Our skin was soooooo soft after!! we really had a great time here
This was a really great experience that everyone who visit St. Lucia should consider. We got there around 10am and I strongly recommend getting there early to beat the crowds. My skin feels super soft after the mud bath.
Our butler at sandals got us a private tour to these springs and a waterfall! The spring is hot, the calcium and mud makes your skin soft! Highly recommend the experience

Great Friday night tradition. Fish for dinner at dukes, or on the Main Street from sidewalk vendors. Great party atmosphere, safe, but be smart and aware of your surroundings.
Friday night street party is off the chain. Big crowd good food good music plenty to drink I wish I would have known they had great souvenirs with great bargains only brought money for food and drinks I’ll know next time
I loved the street party it was live. There was food, music, drinks, dancing and art & craft. There was everything in one place. I ate, dance, drink and had some laughs. It was a great experience with amazing people.

Mountain peak
Nature & Parks
This 798-m. mountain offers panoramic views from its summit, which can be reached by hiking.
Slide 1 of 8
Nestled in the heart of the Caribbean, the island of Saint Lucia is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, and Gros Piton is undoubtedly one of its crown jewels. During my two years on this stunning island, Gros Piton became more than just a destination for me; it was an escape, a source of thrill, and a place where I felt a renewed sense of wonder with every visit. A World Heritage Wonder Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Gros Piton is an iconic landmark that dominates the landscape of Saint Lucia. Rising majestically above the sea, it offers unparalleled views and a sense of awe that words often fail to capture. Whether you see it from a boat, the roadside, or the summit itself, the sheer grandeur of this volcanic peak leaves an indelible mark on your soul. One of my favorite ways to admire Gros Piton was by taking a catamaran cruise around the island. The day-long adventure combined the thrill of being on the water with the serenity of soaking in the Pitons' beauty from every angle. These towering peaks are a photographer’s dream. The scenery is genuinely some of the most beautiful I’ve ever encountered. The Thrill of the Hike Of course, no visit to Gros Piton is complete without experiencing the hike to its summit. I would say that the trail is a moderate hike, but don’t let that fool you; it’s a challenging adventure that rewards your perseverance with views that are nothing short of spectacular. My journey to the top remains one of my fondest memories of Saint Lucia. The hike typically takes around two hours up and another two hours down, depending on your pace and fitness level. Good grippy shoes are a must; while I managed in running shoes, we colleagues did slip a few times along the way. The shaded trail provided relief from the tropical heat, and the railings on the steeper sections offered much-needed support, particularly on the descent. Reaching the summit was exhilarating, and the panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and the neighboring Petit Piton were worth every drop of sweat. The descent, while less physically demanding, required careful navigation to avoid slips and falls, making the railings invaluable. A Must-Do Experience For those who prefer a less strenuous experience, Gros Piton can also be admired from various vantage points across the island. Boat rides to Soufriere or scenic drives to the nearby volcano offer excellent views of these majestic peaks. But if you’re up for an adventure, the hike is an absolute must-do when in Saint Lucia. Gros Piton is more than just a tourist attraction; it’s a testament to the raw, untouched beauty of Saint Lucia. Each visit left me with a deeper appreciation for this majestic place, and climbing to its summit was one of the highlights of my time on the island. Whether you’re an avid hiker, a photography enthusiast, or simply someone seeking a connection with nature, Gros Piton promises an experience you’ll cherish forever. Tips for Your Gros Piton Adventure •Footwear: Invest in sturdy, grippy shoes to tackle the rocky terrain. •Hydration: Bring plenty of water; the hike can be taxing. •Guides: Opt for a knowledgeable guide like Simone to enhance your experience. •Timing: Start early to avoid the midday heat and to enjoy cooler, quieter trails. •Pace: Go at a pace that’s comfortable for you; it’s not a race. Saint Lucia’s Gros Piton isn’t just a place, it’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave. For me, it was a sanctuary that offered a new thrill with every visit, and I’m sure it will hold the same magic for you.
Saint Lucia's Gros Piton is a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site. This iconic volcanic peak offers breathtaking views, whether from a boat or its summit. The hike to the summit is moderate yet challenging, taking about two hours each way. Good footwear is essential, and railings assist on steeper parts. The panoramic views from the top are exhilarating, making the effort worthwhile. For a less strenuous experience, admire Gros Piton from various viewpoints or take a boat ride to Soufriere. However, the hike is a must for adventure seekers. Gros Piton is an unforgettable experience that lingers long after your visit.
However tough you think the hike is it’s tougher. Rest of the family only made it a quarter of the way up but I managed to make it to the top. The view was amazing and had a welcoming party of a cat and her kittens. Due to some rain going down was very slippery so I definitely recommend renting a hiking pole. I drank a gallon of water during my he hike and it took me around 4 and a half hours so plan accordingly. It cost $50 US for the guide which is required and they take cash and card. Definitely worth it.
Beautiful views. This is the iconic twin mountains that were caused by volcanic eruptions. They are located close to the coast, but you can see them while driving on the mountain roads and enjoy stunning views for miles and miles. Every where you look on this part of the island, you get different views and they are all beautiful. They are definitely worth searching out while you are enjoying your stay. If you visit sulphur Springs, they will give you the full history even though they are not visible from the volcano or the mud baths.
Beautiful world heritage site. Just breathtaking! We took a catamaran to cruise around them and had a lovely day. Majestic place with the best opportunity for your Instagram shots. Snorkeling around them is amazing
Gros Piton Hike was excellent. Definitely a more moderate level hike. They say it takes about 2hrs up and 2hrs down for most. My husband and I are in pretty good half marathon shape and it had some pretty vertical rock scrambles. I would say its mostly a rocky path so good grippy shoes are key. We managed to do this hike in running shoes but slipped a few times. It took us a little over 3hrs to complete. Our guide was Simone. She was great! She knew we wanted to go a little faster and kept a good pace. The path itself is shaded for the most part. The more challenging parts of the hike have railings. The hardest part was actually going back down and not slipping- that's where the railings definitely came in handy. There are 3 stopping points along the path. The recommended water per person is 1.5liters. You will need your water. There is a shop that sells water and snacks if needed. Overall a fun way to start the day and get in some exercise! View is amazing on a clear day!
Beautiful and amazing hike to the top. Worth every moment of the hike. Takes around 2 hours or more to reach the top. Depends on your stamina. You will need to pay and get a local guide to bring you up and down the piton. Bring water for the hike.
We took a caribbean cruise and the pitons were definitely one of the best views during the trip. We took a catamaran cruise from the port and it was a great view. On the way back it was a bit rocky due to a storm but it was a once in a lifetime experience.

Nice hike $10 each. Great beach also so bring/ wear your suit. Right next to sandals you can park right at the gate entrance if you come early like 10 am is perfect we walked around and saw the old structures and peaks for about an hour and a half and we’re ready to sit and relax on the beach. Plenty of bathrooms as well which was nice for a beach
Worth a visit if you are in the northern part of the island! Costs $10 to enter which will allow you to learn about the history of Fort Rodney and enjoy walking around the national park. There are great views to be had by following one of the well marked trails available.
If you are visiting northern tip of St. Lucia then do visit this amazing place to hike to ; 1) fort Rodney - lit of history 2) Signal peak - to see the 360 degree view of the surroundings: Carribbean sea, Atlantic ocean separated by pigeon island causeway And 3) Enjoy a swim in the pristine water of the beach inside the national park
Wow. Only $10 to get in. Nice piece of history with shaded walking trails. Lots of restrooms. Definitely walk the hike up to Fort Rodney. One of the best views on the island. This place is way more enjoyable than the hot, crowded beach outside the park.
Beautifully preserved park with very interesting history. We enjoyed spending the day here and had a blast exploring and chilling on the beach. Staff were super nice, entrance is very affordable, chair rentals are dirt cheap. Got to meet the “hustler” (unfortunately refused to sell his “everyday I am hustling shirt”) selling booze from his boat, he might want to update his music album but overall not bad, nice guy all things considered…. Got semi loaded on his questionable mixing skills and found (I think, could’ve been a dream) a golden ring snorkelling. Can’t ask for much more from this life.
I love this totally unspoilt, non-commercial part of the island. The views are outstanding. We paid our $10 to enter the national park and stayed there most of the day. We walked up to both peaks, read all the historical notes, sat in the park and spent time on the 'private' beach. It is a bit of a climb but doable for most able-bodied people, I'd say. Beautiful, uncrowded and peaceful.
I drove my rental car, which was about a 10 min drive from our hotel near Reduit Beach. It was $10 US per adult. We walk the grounds, went to the top of the fort, which is a nice hike. Then we spent the day at the beach inside the park. The water is calm and so clear! It was a nice visit! I am glad I didn’t book a tour. Not sure there’s enough to do for a tour.
Incredible views of Rodney Bay with informative displays along trails. I was getting married the following day and hiking everything quickly during fiancé’s hair appointment. There are steep stair and rocky sections near the fort and at the signal peak. It would be challenging for anyone unfamiliar with that type of trail. I was particularly amazed by the wide variety of plant life and spectacular blooms on that June afternoon. I highly recommend.

Peaceful gardens filled with lots of native plants, trees and birds. Cost $10 to enter for the gardens with an additional fee payable to use the private or public baths. At the end of the trail is a magnificent waterfall which is worth the entry fee alone!
A very beautiful walk through the gardens with a large variety of local plants and fauna. Lizards, hummingbirds and other animals can be seen as you walk through the grounds. The falls and river have volcanic ash/sulphur which give it the grey appearance.
I came upon this place taking a wrong turn while exploring St. Lucia. I love wrong turns in the right places. If you love exploring and looking for a serene inexpensive place learn about the vegetation, fruits, minerals, check this place. Also, bring your swim gear and soak in the mineral bath. I left out bath pics intentionally. You must visit.
Peaceful botanical gardens filled with lots of gorgeous plants, birds and trees. The waterfall was lovely to watch and listen to. There are some information plaques around the gardens, but not many. Entrance fee is reasonable, $35. Cash only. There is a shop selling souvenirs and refreshments, some pools to bathe in (although these didn't look very inviting), changing & bathroom facilities are available. Walking at a very slow pace, it took us 1-1.5 hours to see the whole garden.
Beautiful botanical gardens, it can be explored on your own or with a guide. There is a good variety of all sorts of plants. It is possible to see the waterfall which has different colours due to the different minerals from the volcanic water. There are mineral baths as well, but not very inviting, as the pools don't have much privacy. Recommended
If your into nature, this is a place to visit. Not large but has a wide variety of plants, flowers and trees. Has a small waterfall towards the back. Not a fan of the touristy hot bath, that you have to pay extra for, but to each their on. Entrance fee is $7.00 US. You can get a guide, not sure if that is an extra cost or not. I just walked at my on pace and enjoyed myself.
Absolutely wonderful place! Nestled in the rainforest, wonderful garden and beautiful waterfall. We're returning to Soufriere in June and will definitely be visiting the garden and falls again 😁
The gardens are really lush! But they are very insistant about you taking a guide and buying bracelets at the end. The baths weren't really hot

This was a really fun activity!! It's a bit of a work out to get to the different lines (but its wortht it); ensure you take the water that is being given at the different intervals. - When we were done with our tour the guides got a small snake at the entrance. (this is a usual thing for the area) - The tour felt very safe & the guides gave a briefing on how to ride the lines. - The tour guides usually take a phone per group throughout the journey for photos.
This was soooo much fun. 🏞️First, we had a small tour guided by Dennis. Despite many of the plants being out of season, he expertly identified them. He was a chill dude 😎 Then, we joined a relatively large group to go ziplining. Apart from the fact that I wish there were more clean glove options, it was great. They're very polite and friendly as they harness you/strap you up. 🌟I had Keenan, he was sweet. 🗣️They're very clear with instructions, goofy enough to make you laugh, professional enough to make you feel safe. 🍃Along the lines, of which there are 1️⃣2️⃣, I met Marvin and a bunch of other really nice guides. The lines all offered something different. Some were close to the water and rocks 🪨 and others the treetops🌴. Some were faster and some were closer to the foliage than everrrr. From the greeting to our exit, which was when I met Zack, another great guide, the experience was ✨AMAZING✨.🦋
We did the biking and the waterfall. We had an amazing time. Our tour guide Steffan was an absolute pleasure to spend the activity with.
Treetop Adventure Park in St. Lucia is a rainforest zipline and outdoor adventure destination located in Dennery. It offers thrilling canopy rides, hiking trails, and access to Errard Waterfall, making it one of the island’s top-rated attractions. 🌿 What You’ll Experience - World-class ziplining: The park features some of the highest, longest, and fastest lines in St. Lucia, allowing you to soar above the treetops with panoramic views of the rainforest canopy. - Errard Waterfall: Beyond ziplining, you can hike or cycle to Errard Waterfall, the highest accessible waterfall on the island.
My wife and I took this amazing adventure on our honeymoon. I will say up front that neither of us had ever been on a zipline before. We were a little nervous, and the staff took such great care to make us feel safe and ready. After getting harnessed up, and climbing to our first line, we went through a quick training and off we go. IT WAS AMAZING!! I was trying to get a picture, and not having any luck. One our our leaders asked me for my phone, and he went to work! I had no idea he was taking so many great photos! We were SHOCKED when we finally were able to have a look at the photos! He took amazing action shots, movies of us just great all around!
Amazing experience! The course has 12 zip lines for one to descend. Each has a set of stairs to climb, to get to the next. The staff were eager to take pictures and videos, so that the memories stay fresh. Highly recommend!
An excellent time with fun instructors. My wife and I went as part of our stay at sandals resort. They walked us through everything and took amazing pictures for us. The zip lines were really fun and the whole park is well kept up and in good condition. 10/10 would recommend
This zipline tour was EPIC!!! The tour guides were knowledgeable, engaging and most importantly kept us safe. The entire tour was fun. The toilets were clean, clean, clean and were fully equipped with all the necessary amenities👍🏽The only downside -and that's personal- was crossing the netted bridges; I do have a fear of heights and yes! I know, it's weird 😂. The zipping was amazing -adrenaline rush- but walking those bridges had my anxiety off the charts. Point to note: there is a bit of hiking(stairs) so know yourself and your limits. Other than that, I totally recommend Oh! Make reservations in advance.

Hillside nature trail offering a picturesque viewpoint of the water & mountains, plus guided tours.
Slide 1 of 8
We did this trail with a guide who was very encouraging and had some interesting facts to share. He also was happy to take our photos and knew the best angles. The trail was actually more of a hike than expected, but really not too difficult. Views were amazing. Way nicer views than from the Gros Piton hike. I would bring some drinks and a snack to enjoy at the third view point (by the shed) to really enjoy the views.
A must do to get some stunning views of the Pitons! The hike is fairly easy, but use the guide to gain insight into the locale and support the community. We had Felix take us on our hike and he was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and took great photos of our group!
This nature trail is quite easy to do when compared to the gros piton trail. The views are equally beautiful, from here in fact you get a different perspective of the pitons, specially the Petit piton. At the top of the stairs for heaven it's where you gonna get the wow feeling! Absolutely astonishing. In here there is a small shop, so you can have a drink while contemplating the view. Highly recommended.
We drove and parked here on Wednesday, Oct 1 around 9:30am. We were the only ones on the hike until we were descending. The cost was $10/pp. we hiked it on our own. The hike is a loop that took less than an hour and easy to navigate. The first 15-20 min is uphill with stairs but mostly in the shade. There’s a vendor at the top selling refreshment and souvenirs but not pushy. The view was gorgeous and hike back down was easy.
A must do hike for all abilities if you are nearby! Gentle walk that only needs trainers at trail is well maintained - and with views just as beautiful as from at the top of the pitons! Easy parking with cute dogs and friendly staff. Guides available, but I went alone - could probably have completed in half an hour, but sat for a few moments of peace at each viewpoint taking it all in!
The Tet Paul Nature Trail in St. Lucia is a short but spectacular hike offering panoramic views of the Pitons, Soufrière, and even nearby islands like Martinique and St. Vincent (my home). It’s often called the “Stairway to Heaven” because of its breathtaking vantage points. - Cost: Entry is around $10 USD or 10EC (for locals) per person, with guided tours..I highly recommend Shervin as your tour guide as it would be an enjoyable one...he's so funny
What a magnificent view! The trail itself takes about 1 hour to complete and costs $10 to enter. There is the option to hire a guide, but you can easily follow the trail alone if you prefer. The trail itself winds it's way up the hill and there are a few different points where you can stop and take pictures, but it's at the top where you'll be dazzled by your incredible surroundings!
Enjoyed the moderate hike, very shaded but be prepared for steep inclines! The most beautiful views of the Pitons!

Large bay featuring a white-sand beach, a marina with yacht docks, a water park & more.
Slide 1 of 8
If you have watched Below Deck you have already been here without realizing it. Those sparkling shots of the marina are Rodney Bay with Captain Glenn sliding the boat in like he is docking a spaceship, gold shipwreck coin necklace catching the sun like a Caribbean pirate who traded his cutlass for Ray-Bans. Walk the docks and you will spot yachts that look like they cost more than small countries. Some of them have actually been on the show. The real trick is you can do Rodney Bay without the TV budget. Here is how Morning: Coffee and pastries at Café Olé in the marina while crews do their morning rinse downs like a choreographed dance. Afternoon: Hop on a catamaran tour. Pick the one with the happiest bartender. They will take you up the coast to Pigeon Island and maybe drop anchor for a swim in water so clear it looks fake. Evening: Seafood at Spinnakers on the beach. Try the tuna and ignore the tourist prices because the view is worth it. Late night: Gros Islet Friday street party with local rum, grilled fish, and music that rattles your bones. This is where Below Deck would fade to black because what happens here does not make it past the editing room. Rodney Bay is the kind of place where you can sip champagne with the yacht crowd or drink Piton beer on the sand and feel just as rich. If you see Captain Glenn tell him the necklace still works and it is part of the scenery now.
We enjoyed our time up at Rodney Bay. We were lucky to have our house right on the water and these were some of our views. Nice marina, didn't seem to have a lot of crazy traffic. Did the Friday night street party which was a lot of fun and great that there are water taxis available to get you to and from. Better than tipsy driving. We enjoyed the Rodney Bay area the most while visiting the island.
Great beach. Lovely sea but can become overcrowded especially when cruise ships are in. Beach traders are a little too persistent for my liking. Bed and parasol can be expensive.
Beautiful soft white sand, clear blue waters, and lush green surroundings. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to swim, snorkel, or just relax and enjoy the sun
Busy spot but lots to see and a very good selection if restaurants and hotels nearby. Probably one of the safer areas for cruisers in St. Lucia and more options with the marina present. Nice wind protected bay. Lively spot.
Beautiful people and epic scenery. We traveled around so all of these pictures are not Rodney Bay. Rodney Bay itself is a lovely little town. make sure to visit the Rivers of life restaurant. The pitons are a must see!
Rodney Bay is hub for malls, 5 star hotels, residential, restaurants, bars, duty free shopping, medical and dental offices, fast food, ice cream shop, yacht club, beach, water sports and entertainment.
We spent several days in and around Rodney Bay. We thoroughly loved the area. We are going back in December. Dont miss Fot Rodney and Pigeon Island. Spinnakers Resterant at Reduit Beach.

Bubbling sulfur springs in the caldera of the dormant Qualibou volcano, with nearby mud baths.
Slide 1 of 8
A volcano you can actually drive into? Yes, please! It was such a cool and unique experience. The bubbling sulfur springs, the steam rising all around — it feels like stepping onto another planet. Don’t skip the mud baths — messy, fun, and so good for your skin! A must-do while in Saint Lucia!
We loved it so much here that we visited twice. Between a volcano you can drive into, the informative tours, and how amazing the natural mud baths are - this is the ultimate experience. When there’s not a tour there it’s super quiet and laid back, fairly inexpensive too! Our skin still feels amazing, a great connection to the Earth!
The guided tour to the dormant volcano was really interesting and our guide was really funny at the same time. The mud baths are definitely a must while in Saint Lucia, nice soft skin afterwards. We did the mud baths first in the morning and then the volcano, just because of the heat and it was less crowded. It was a well spent morning. There are toilets, shower available and a few shops with souvenirs. We ended our morning with a refreshing coconut water. Highly recommended.
So the Soufriere caldera is along a public road but it's 9USD to enter and have a guide and another 10USD if you want to cover yourself in mud. There were a few too many people there to make the latter an attractive proposition for me but others certainly seemed to be having fun. If you can stand the steep climb up the back there's an information centre with a short video introduction in a choice of 6 languages as well as a small and slightly tired group of exhibits. Definitely worth a visit but it isn't Hawaii....😊
Super awesome. It isn’t a “drive up” the way Americans imagine it. You park, watch a 5 min I go video, then a guide walks you up and tells you about the sulphur springs. Worth it. Not like a drive by thing. Still awesome. Stinky of course. GET THE SOAPS at the souvenirs shop! Specifically the black one.
I love taking people to see this live volcano. When you go, do the volcanic mud bath. Learn about the history, the minerals and what helps this island 🏝 be one of the best places to visit in the Caribbean. I am St.Lucian and love to travel. So I brag about my Island. You must go visit.
They attendants were all very pleasant - the experience was unique - was wild to feel the elevated water temperature in the stream - the volcanic mud bath was incredible - we bought many souvenirs
Amazing place to visit. Its also attached to naturally heated hot springs, where you can have a mud bath in mineral rich mud, and then bathe in the hot spring water.

Marigot Bay has been made famous by numerous movies e.g. Doolittle’s using it as a backdrop. It is a sheltered cove with beautiful scenery. We enjoyed our traditional coconut rum and the maritime atmosphere. Boats come and go. What a lovely spot.
One of the most Beautiful Enchanting places. We feel so lucky to have spent some time here whilst away in Saint Lucia. Truly a treasure with lots of little quaint shops and restaurants. Also home to the famous Doolittle resort and restaurant.
Great spot i loved it 🥰 definitely worth of visiting and one of my favourite places to stay in st lucia
Marigot Bay, St Lucia. Always has been and always will be the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean. Every day we look out at those views we think how lucky we are to have a place here !
One of the most beautiful bays to visit with a pleasure craft in the Caribbean. A nice little beach that has post card picture quality. It very sheltered so that mooring buoy / anchor is quiet and calm. Decent restaurants are available, too.
Love it, great spot to chill. If you don't want to mess with the vendors then go to Doolittles, grab some drinks, and then you can use their beach area. Vendors are interesting people though, get yourself a Coco-Loco and a carved turtle from John.
Nice bay with resorts, restaurants and the famous Dr Doolittle's coffee. There's a free boat to access there. Very peaceful and calm, there's also a nice little beach to hang out.
Absolutely wonderful resort. The bungalows are tidy and beautiful, colonial decoration. The bars and restaurants are out of this world and the quality of the services are outstanding. The pools and the private beach accessible by free ferry are stunning. If I had to mention one thing though it would be to not be in a rush when ordering food and drinks as it might take some time but, there’s no rush when we are in holiday. The staff was very friendly and I can’t wait to come back again. Thank you so much

Lively place. Restroom costs a dollar! Possibly bring your own T.P. nice vendors, not overly aggressive, but of course they invite you to look at their stock. . Lots of souvenir options. Local fruit selection is fantastic.
Market sits on waterfront, nice view of the ship, good selection of local fruit for fair price. They sell in dollars and in cash so it's easier for us when we only have small change. Nice friendly merchants, market not too busy, food stalls opens every other door with small menus, mainly for locals, not for tourists, bathrooms is clean, no cost, we bought some fruits to taste and a few souvenir items for very little price. You just gotta know how to bargain.
Lovely local market, with several stalls where the locals sell their products. My favourite is the fruit stalls with diverse types. Ideal place to find local and traditional products. Highly recommended.
Nice enough place. Lots of stuff to buy for tourists, not much fun for kids.
Enjoyed stopping here. Lots of locals selling and had a great atmosphere. Went when there were quite a few cruise ships in but didn’t feel too crowded. Went at 11:00 and was still going strong. Lots of repeated produce and touristy things, but loved the food stuff. Look around as different prices on every stall. Great stimulus for a toddler!
Strolled around here for breakfast and shopping. Got some bake and fish and it was delicious. Just for 5 Caribbean dollars for 3 of us. Had a good time. For shopping prices were way inflated. Got some nice bracelets, hot sauce and local spices.
Great place to interact with the locals. Guavas, mangoes, Coconuts, bananas etc. fresh and just off the farm. Enjoyed the most delicious fruit breakfast and only £2! I am visiting Creole Kitchen again to taste their delicious food! A bottle of pure fresh natural Guava juice for Rs: 100
Enjoyed checking out the market, clean place organized and everyone was friendly and not pushy to buy their goods. The locally grown food looked amazing must be the fertile soil. I tried some Black Pudding (blood sausage) from a sweet gentleman named Julius which was so good, best I’ve had in a long time I ended up buying more struck up a convo and just chatted with him for a while. Got some beautiful things for myself and a few friends and look forward to coming back the next time I’m in St Lucia. It definitely worth a trip when you’re in Castries.

We stayed in Soufriere and were dropped off by our driver at Anse Chastenet (it is walkable if you like long walks up the hill with a windy road). We then walked the length of the beach, under the cliffs until we ended up at the very end - with a paradise like beach in front of us. The beach has resort loungers which are very expensive to rent for a day, but the sand is perfectly fine. The beach itself was very quiet on the day as we had showers, but they only added to the atmosphere. The sunset was stunning. There's a food outlet on the beach serving burgers made to order and fresh seafood.
Hands down the best beach on the entire island! Don’t waste your time going to sugar beach, it’s small and over crowded. Make the trek up and down the rocky road for a private, clean, peaceful beach with two shower heads to wash off, 4 bathroom stalls— which the bathrooms are very clean and very nice, and with its own restaurant. Order the burgers or fish tacos from the restaurant. The restaurant is ONLY OPEN from 12-3 so make sure you get the order in by 230. Chairs on the left side of the beach are $66 for the day, chairs on the right side are for the people staying at the resort. $66 for the day is steep but SO WORTH IT. There’s 8 umbrellas with 2 chairs a piece, the most people that have been here on the left side was 3 couples (including me and my husband). No foot traffic, no getting hassled by people wanting to sell you boat rides, or other tours. You’ll occasionally get a party boat pull up and they snorkel off to the left side of the beach. My husband and I have been here since Friday 8/8 and today is 8/14– we’ve been to the beach 4 days in a row paying for chairs everyday $264USD because ITS WORTH IT. We went to sugar beach, La toc beach, vidgie beach, humming bird beach, and reduit beach and we came back here everyday. The people at the gate knew us by the 3rd day “back again?😇” Please don’t waste your time going anywhere else! ☀️🤌🏼🏝️🇱🇨
*VERY IMPORTANT* The road to get there is long and absolutely sucks. You must have a good car with proper suspension to make it there. It's probably the best beach on the island. Very few people and very quiet, so you get the full beach experience of sand, sun, waves crashing and ocean breeze. Beach chairs are owned by the resort, which costs $65 per chair if you want to rent them (despite them being mostly unused). Nearby bar/restaurant for drinks and burgers are available to non-resort guests. You pretty much get what's on the menu though, so if you're picky about what you want, it will be messed up.
Very nice peaceful beach, comfortable, great service and amazing view. Not so much people and very calm. Perfect for relaxing.
One of the most idyllic places I’ve ever been. Snorkeling at Chastanet is very good as well. Highly recommend this spot.
One of the nicest beaches in St. Lucia. Tucked away, so very quiet, but only about 10 or less walking from a car park. Also there is a really nice restaurant called Anse Chastanet. So after a good swim you can dine in this nice restaurant.
We visited as a day trip. Bring some lunch and a six pack of Peton’s. As an avid off-roader in California, the road to Anse Chastanet is not nearly as bad as other reviews. Broken, bumpy concrete but not slippy mud. It starts steep but is fine after the first 200ft. There is a large parking area on the left when you arrive at the resort. Be sure to assure the security you know to walk all the way north (right) because it sounded like they’re tired of day trippers expecting more. Once down on Anse Chastanet, keep heading north, you’ll arrive at a few concrete steps that lead to a flat gravel/dirt road, pass a small pier, and arrive at a gloriously under utilized beach and bar. The day user’s typically go past the two standing rock formations and you get it all to your self!!! We had a cocktail and utilized the picnic tables near the bar before we left, we felt welcomed there. Definitely do what we did.
One of the most private and beautiful public beaches I’ve ever been to! Definitely worth the long walk and even a long swim! Bonus, the burger place is awesome as well! Although a little bit overpriced.

The water felt amazing temperature wise on a hot day, but the pressure of the fall is something to reckon with. This was one of the stops on our boat cruise. I wished we could have stayed a bit longer.
Hum, average at best, it’s a small waterfall, the difference is you can get in the water and under the waterfall… we went at a quiet time and it was still busy. I would think at times it’s bonkers. The waterfall its self isn’t huge… and again if going from a cruise ship, the drive and trip over for half hour tops at the falls I thinks is hard to battle with, you might be able to spend your money more wisely or experience another opportunity while in St Lucia.
If coming in on a cruise, it's a longgg way from port, but a nice waterfall you can walk into and get a picture standing under it. Not "cold" water, but not exactly bath water either. Like all tourist type places, it gets busy, so go early
The earlier you go the better. We were totally alone. Don’t NEED a tour guide. Cooler water but amazing. Nice back massage if you stand under water. Nice after the mud baths to clean off more.
Nice big waterfall. Perfectly after the sulfur bath. The water is nice cold and refreshing. Changing cabinets are available. A small bungalow is there with refreshements and snacks.
Visiting the waterfall was an energizing and invigorating experience — the rush of water, the cool mist, and the sheer beauty of the surroundings made it absolutely wonderful
Love a waterfall and anything nature but way too touristy for me. Cruise ship excursions come from the sulphur bars and queue to get a photo under the water. Couple of changing rooms and lots of souvenir sellers.
A cool waterfall that you can stand under and get a picture at. It was a bit crowded as we arrived when there was a cruise ship excursion. But after they left it was a lot less busy and very fun and cool.

The water is warm and it’s beautiful here. It’s about 10USD to rent chairs, but the guys renting them called us names when we chose not to. People do come up often trying to sell stuff. A great variety of restaurants nearby, especially spinamakers. The splash pad down the beach is also incredibly fun! Definitely a good visit.
Very nice beach the waters are warm and the sand is clean. lots of sunbeds and the views are very good. watch out for the lucky lucky men lots of them selling items and it is a little of putting when you are trying to relax. really enjoyed our time here and we did use the local bars for drinks.
What a beautiful beach! Long stretch of sand that you can walk down or spend time sitting in the Caribbean sun (around 7-10 USD). There are opportunities for water sport activities and there is a bar / restaurant right on the beach if you need to cool off or fuel up!
Reduit Beach in Saint Lucia is one of the island’s most popular and beautiful beaches, located in Rodney Bay on the northern coast. It’s known for its long stretch of soft golden sand, calm turquoise waters, and lively atmosphere with plenty of activities and amenities
Spinnakers sits to the right of this entrance. It's about 7-10usd to rent chairs/daybeds. The water is beautiful and clear. Safe beach. Water is calm and cool. Plenty parking. Bring a cooler and enjoy. One of the best sunsets Ive ever seen!
Great watersports offers (ring (USD 15pp), jetski (ECD 200), a waterpark (USD15pp ph), chairs are USD10 BUT! the vendors are incredibly agressive and a simple "no thank you" is not enough, so it's very uncomfortable. The swimming area is also very small.
Reduit Beach is a great beach. The water was clean and calm, and we were able to rent chairs and umbrellas. They had people who would come right up to the beach to take food and drink orders, so we didn’t even have to leave the sand.
Visited this beach in August multiple times. It’s very clean, the water is always a great temperature, and it has a undefeated view of the sunset and island. There are plenty of paid activities to book. It’s in a great location, and easily accessible from the Rodney Bay strip. There’s plenty of parking, yet it’s never overcrowded. The salesmen on the beach frequent often to rent chairs/umbrellas, sell bracelets, food, and drinks. They’re respectful and will move on if you tell them you’re not interested. It’s easy to spend an entire day here and not get bored. Perfect for any kind of crowd: couples, families, etc. The best part is the sunset. Even when the sun goes down you’ll find it’s still quite lively with local fishers and dining tourists.

Beautiful beach! It’s amazing at sunset. The view of the pitons on the road to the beach is also incredible, it could be on a postcard (pictures below!) Not a far walk from the parking lot, however the roads aren’t the best. We had to use the 4x4 from our rental, but had a lot of fun doing it. Everyone was super friendly here.
Great spot for people watching. Lots of people come snorkeling here, but I didn’t see that many fish. There’s a small public beach on the left-hand side as you enter, the right hand side is exclusively for the resort. There’s a cute restaurant in the middle to get drinks and lunch. And relatively easy parking with some shades spots. The road driving up you definitely need a 4 x 4.
Best beach we visited by far! The snorkeling here was a life changing experience. I did see a barracuda in the water but he was not cool with me being around and left immediately; but he did not seem very hungry. Used “Hope & pray water taxi”. He was very cool and drive easy; I was scared as I can’t swim well and the water was a bit rough.
This beach, in my opinion is not one of the most beautifuls of Saint Lucia. It seems to be more for the guests of the resort, the public part is not big. I did find the beach quite peaceful though, maybe because it was weekday late afternoon. The access road it is not easy, narrowed in some parts, there are some steep parts, and after a small rain the road became slippery and we witnessed some car struggling to go up. At more less mid way there is a point with a wonderful view of the pitons, we managed to stop the car safely and took a nice shot. Recommended
Snorkeling there was fun, some regions had jellyfish. As I’m by myself and don’t want to hassle with water taxi, I took an Allez from town (USD $14) and hitchhiked back to town.
Update: we finally snorkeled in the Marine Reserve section to the left when you arrive at the beach. There is a large roped off area past the boats that is filled with rocks, coral, and fish. It’s beautiful! I highly recommend this for anyone who loves to snorkel. Public can use it. You just have to swim around the parked boats. We left our stuff past the stairs on the last patch of sand. We drove which is quite the adventure by itself, crossing rivers and climbing single lane cobblestone paths with falling rocks. Yes, you are going the right way. Once we arrived there was visitor parking and the friendly guards provided instructions on the ways to the Chastanet and the Mamin beach. We opted for Mamin which is a walk along the shoreline. Keep going. You will be handsomely rewarded. The snorkeling was okay but the water is lovely. See my review of Mamin for more pictures
Saw many good sized various tropical fish while snorkeling on the excursion we secured through Simon Giddy up, who we met on this very beach a few days prior
Great area for snorkeling. Was going to drive my rental car until I heard the road was straight up and down with parts only one vehicle can go (maybe they are widening it). So we took a water taxi. Highly recommend getting with other people because the water taxi is $60-80 and should be the same price for 2, 4, or 6. The guy asked for $80 and I said I’d keep looking until I found $60 so he said $60. It was a 10 min ride there and 10 back…. So he did well I’d say. He came back 4 hours later. The water to the left where you are dropped off is great. Saw plenty of fish. Then walked to the beach to the right and snorkeled all the back to the original beach. Saw an octopus moving around, other cool fish and coral. Great place to snorkel. Took about 3.5 hours to do it all. If you want lunch, would plan on 4.5-5 hours
