Dhe Puttu

Mentioned on

$$$$affordable
South Indian restaurant
Dhe Puttu is a warm and casual Indian dining room that specializes in serving various varieties of Puttu recipes. This popular South Indian breakfast dish is made from steamed, cylindrical-shaped, ground rice that is layered with dry coconut on the outside and filled with sweet or savory ingredients. The restaurant offers an authentic taste of Kerala cuisine with a touch of innovation to make the dining experience even more enticing.
Puttu has always been a favourite dish of mine like any other malayali. I was blown away with the varieties available here. Being a vegetarian I was a bit skeptical about the available varieties and how they would taste. We had 7 sundara raathrikal and Veg chopsuey puttu. Both tasted good though 7 sundara raathrikal was the highlight. The ambience of the restaurant is very special and interesting. The service by the staffs are also remarkable. Every aspect of the hotel highlights the fact that how great an entertainer actor Dileep is!

Puttu and Porichakozhi — what a perfect combo! 😋 The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. What really stood out was the amazing customer service — the staff were so welcoming and kind, making the experience even better. Truly impressed with Dhe Puttu, and definitely a must-visit! 👏✨
Rahul R — Google review
"Dhe Puttu restaurant in Edappally was a delightful experience! I tried Ariputtu, Mixed Puttu, and Chicken Puttu, all of which were very tasty. They were also generous with the pappadums and kattan chaya, which was a nice touch. The prices were reasonable too. Highly recommend!"
Siyad 4 — Google review
A fine option for puttu lovers.Absolutely loved the puttu combination at this restaurant. The texture was soft and the flavor was perfectly balanced. It paired well with the accompanying dishes. Highly recommend trying it out. The quality and taste were top-notch, making it a must-visit for fans of puttu dish. We tried beef kappa biryani, kammara sambavam , amar akbar antony combo, biryani putt , non veg putt thali, and putt kizhi. Every dish was delicious. They serve unlimited spicy and tasty black tea along with this . Have to wait to get a seat. Kammara sambavam and thali is highly recomendable.

I visited Dhe Puttu for the 2025 Onam Sadhya, and overall, I had a mixed experience. The Onam Sadhya and the payasam were excellent in both quality and taste, much better compared to many other restaurants. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, which made the dining experience pleasant. However, for the non-veg side, I ordered the King Fish Tawa, and it was very disappointing. Both the quality and quantity were poor. The staff mentioned it would be enough for two people, but what I received was just a small single piece priced at ₹550, which I felt was not at all worth it. Since my main focus was to try the Onam Sadhya, I didn’t go for other dishes. I would still strongly recommend the Sadhya and appreciate the staff’s service, but the non-veg dish I tried definitely needs improvement.
NITHIN M — Google review
Had a great experience at Dhe Puttu! Despite the large crowd, the staff was friendly and efficient, and we only waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The food was excellent—we loved the spicy Beef Ididmulag, the unique Ramaleela with its mix of puttu and chicken, and the flavorful Erachi Puttu. The welcome Sulaimani and the chef's special mocktails were a nice touch. The ambiance was lovely with great lighting. Highly recommend!"
Francis S — Google review
Have been there now a few times with friends and family and it’s now our go to spot to take any out station visitors we have to get a good tour of puttu and some Kerala heritage. The menu is sumptuous with non-veg dishes, but there is no dearth of interesting options for the vegetarians as well and the both are equally tasty. The crowd can be an off putting factor for some and during peak meal hours, one might have to wait outside- this if they arrange a more comfortable seating- would be great. There’s outdoor parking ground available for more than a dozen cars. The service is mostly warm. The crowded timings can be a miss sometimes, but otherwise it was pleasant. With a cool cosy interior, hot masala black tea like concoction (some days a bit too sweet), melodious songs in the background and bowls of crispy pappadams accompanying the puttu, one can never have a bad experience I guess! The price is on the higher side, over about 500+/head for a full meal. But the food is tasty and the experience is worth in my opinion, especially the off-peak hours- the availability of any dish wasn’t an issue.
Dhvinay P — Google review
Service is soo good, good food, good ambience. Varieties of Putt available especially for a putt lover. I had Marble put veg thali, choclate brownie, nannari sarbath, all were tasty and good. Definitely worth trying variety options of Puttu combinations available. Unlimited kattan chaya (masala), unlimited papadam is an added advantage. I haven't experienced anywhere that unlimited papadam is served. That too great first time experience. Once again amazing customer service experience, each one of them were welcoming us and always at our desk for all sort of help. Great service and Kudos to the team. Worth visit and must try.

Kerala restaurant
Alibaba & 41 Dishes is a family restaurant located near Brigade Restaurant in Ernakulam, Kochi. It offers a variety of Malabari food, tandoori dishes, and biryanis in a simple fast food set up. The restaurant is known for its authentic Malabar snacks and natural fresh drinks, making it an ideal place to break your fast during Iftar.
Cool ambience. Courteous staff. Delicious food. Can’t be asking fa more at an odd hour lunch at cochin. Liked the interiors. Cozy place. New concept of games and mazes and trying to teach food manners through their table paper mats is a nice and cool concept. Liked it.
Mayur R — Google review
Before ordering the fish, we specifically asked the waiter to confirm its freshness, and he assured us it was fresh. However, when the dish arrived, the fish had a bad smell and was clearly not fresh. We informed the waiter, but he insisted that such an issue couldn’t occur. As frequent diners, we can easily tell when fish isn’t fresh, especially by examining the head. This experience was disappointing and raises concerns about the restaurant’s food quality and honesty.”
Nihal M — Google review
We had dinner at Alibaba, the food was average. Only a very few items we liked. The ambience and service is good. The starters, Hout and Sour Chicken Soup & Clear Chicken Soup were good. BANGKOK BEEF is a must try. The Tawa Prawns were a disaster. The masala had a Bitter taste. The one dish they recommended was Alibaba Chicken Fry, which was also average. A normal chicken fry with papad slices. Beef Mappas & Malabar Chicken Curry were average and tasted similar. Considering the overall experience, the only item we recommend as a must try will be BANGKOK BEEF. The soups were also good. BANGKOK BEEF 5⭐👌🏼 HOT & SOUR CHICKEN SOUP 4.5⭐ CLEAR CHICKEN SOUP 4 ⭐ BEEF MAPPAS 3⭐ MALABAR CHICKEN CURRY 3⭐ ALIBABA CHICKEN FRY 3.5⭐ TAWA PRAWNS 1⭐

Not recommended at all. Feeling very disappointed for visiting this restaurant. If you’re looking only for ambience and service with Punjabi background music, this place might suit you. We ordered parotta, Malabar chicken curry, and chicken fry. The Malabar chicken curry was disappointing, the chicken pieces were mostly bones and tasted bad. The chicken fry was just okay, while the parotta was the only good part of the meal. Overall, very expensive and not worth the cost. This is pur first and last visit. Will never make the mistake of coming here again.
Rajeesh P — Google review
The food was really tasty, very good service from the restaurant, parking available👍. There are different varieties of food is available in this restaurant. The attitude towards the customer is also good.👍
Shano J — Google review
We placed a takeaway order for a malabar chicken and waited for 19 minutes and bought it for ₹367/- but it was old chicken and tasted bad. Went there again and gave it back and they refunded. And also cream of mushroom soup of ₹178/- is utter waste here . It just tasted like plain flour (cornflour/maida). Most of the dishes i tried were utter flops.
Hannah V — Google review
Visited this restaurant twice because their Chicken Kottayal Paal curry was good the first time! That experience made me go back again. However, this time I was quite disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Thengapal Curry (₹360), and though the taste was still good, it had only four small pieces — all bone, barely any meat. For the price, that really wasn’t worth it. Hope they maintain consistency in both quality and quantity.
Jobin C — Google review
Only good for snacks at the outside counter. Inside the restaurant food quality and taste is not up to the mark or the price they are charging. Two times we had experienced the same. On one occasion with rice and fish curry and other one with chicken biriyani- nothing is special in taste- very disappointing.

Good Vegetarian Hotel in Thevara, Kochi. Had Chilli Porotta and the quantity was good, but tastewise it was not so great. But it was tummy filling. Tea was good. July 2025 EDIT : We ordered Uzhunnu Vada and Samosa and both were equally good. Samosa was cold and served right from the shelf without heating, but was good. Vada was accompanied by two varieties of chutney and Sambar (both unlimited).

Awesome food. I mostly love their hospitality. Every time, the stewards make us feel happy while taking the orders and while serving them. This is our most loved hangout place for dining. Guests can indulge in Asian, Indian, and international cuisine at the two onsite restaurants or enjoy amenities such as a spa, houseboats, yoga classes, and a 3-tiered outdoor swimming pool with stunning views.
I had been to convention centre and restaurant and found both the places good, though both needs renovation as looks dated. Facilities at convention center are perfect and have facilities for conference and exhibitions. The view from behind is of a canal is very nice and peaceful. Bar restaurant at the lobby level has different seating options. The service was good and food upto mark.

Le Meridien Kochi offers spacious, clean rooms and a peaceful, scenic environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing good service throughout the stay. The food is diverse and tasty, with a nice variety of local and international dishes. A bit away from the city center, but overall a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for a quality stay in Kochi.

From the moment we arrived at Le Meridien, the entire front office team made us feel truly welcomed and cared for. The host at the entrance greeted us warmly, opened our car doors, and ensured every interaction was smooth and pleasant. From check-in at the front desk, Anitta and Dipti, with their beautiful smile and kind attitude, to every encounter during our stay, every staff member played an excellent role in making us feel valued. We also had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. The hostesses, Banoisha and Bansah, were kind, attentive, and resourceful—they even remembered my name and room number, which made us feel especially cared for. Our servers, Summit and Raksh, were always helpful, friendly, and attentive, making each meal a pleasure. Thanks to the dedication and warmth of every team member, our stay was truly memorable. I wholeheartedly give this hotel 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional service and genuine hospitality.

Great spot with super ambience, quiet enjoyable mind blowing place. The property is beautifully set by the backwaters with lots of greenery, which gives a very calm and relaxing feel. The staff were polite, helpful, and attentive, and the hospitality really stood out. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide spread of both Indian and international options.

Had an amazing buffet dinner! Every dish was flavorful and fresh—especially the live counters and desserts. The best part is The DIY dessert counter—mixing up my own ice cream with toppings like chocolate chips, gems, and sauces was super fun.The ambiance was elegant and relaxing. Staff were courteous, attentive, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. Honestly, I was so stuffed by the end, I couldn’t even try many of the dishes… but they looked absolutely yumm!

We had 3 nights stay. It was a nice stay and very comfortable. Right from door man to front office staff housekeeping restaurant staff more particularly Rosyline was exceptionally courteous and very professional. I suggest buffet brakefast , since it starts from 6.30,must b ready once guests starts coming in. There was no supervisory staff in the morning. Guests , a few of them foreigners were helping themselves with cutlery, tissue papers etc. since no one was there. Breakfast spread was elobarate and we loved it. Txs

Radisson Blu Kochi is ideally located, making it perfect for both business and leisure travelers. The rooms are spacious, elegantly designed with traditional Kerala-style furniture. Special thanks to Ms. Tushara for her exceptional hospitality and Chef Supahnya for a delightful culinary experience. The gym is well-equipped, and the rooftop pool is well-maintained. However, breakfast service during high occupancy could be improved as staff seemed short-handed. Despite this, overall service and comfort were excellent, meeting Radisson’s reputed standards.

I recently stayed at Radisson Blu Hotel in Kochi, impressed by the staff's warmth and professionalism. Thushara and Rose were extremely pleasant and helpful and their readiness to assist made a big difference. Sajin went above and beyond with a pleasant attitude. Although the room layout and maintenance needed some improvement, the excellent service made up for it. The staff’s genuine hospitality turned an average stay into a very enjoyable experience.

The Kochi Marriott Hotel offers a seamless blend of convenience and modern style, ideally located on the campus of LuLu Mall near the vibrant IT district. The hotel features sleek quarters with plush pillowtop bedding, marble bathrooms, and 24-hour room service. With three dining options, a spa, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center, it provides all the amenities for a comfortable stay. Additionally, its proximity to popular landmarks and attractions makes it an ideal choice for travelers.
My stay at Kochi Marriott was truly memorable. While the hotel leans more towards a business vibe, it offers everything you’d expect from a top-class property. The amenities are excellent – the spa was absolutely relaxing and well-managed, the gym is modern and well-equipped, and the shisha lounge offered a great ambiance to unwind in the evenings. I also thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast spread at the restaurant – everything was fresh, diverse, and beautifully presented, making mornings a delight. What stood out most was the hospitality of the staff – always warm, attentive, and ready to go the extra mile to make the stay comfortable. The location is another plus point, being right next to Lulu Shopping Mall, which adds to the convenience. Overall, I loved my stay here. It’s perfect for business travelers and those who want a comfortable city stay with top-notch amenities, though I’d say it may not be the first choice for a relaxed holiday resort vibe.

I had a wonderful stay at Kochi Marriott Hotel. The location is perfect—right next to Lulu Mall with a convenient buggy service that makes shopping and dining very easy. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast buffet offers a wide variety. The staff were incredibly kind and professional. My daughter accidentally left the room key and some cash in the locker, and the team promptly returned everything safely to my friend. Their honesty and helpfulness truly impressed us. Overall, an excellent experience, and I would happily stay here again.

I had gone for our society academic meeting recently . Excellent ambience and boardroom. Dinner was Indian food and excellent. As I am allergic to chilly I asked for a separate curry . The cook prepared a curry and brought it himself. The fish curry was very delicious and made my evening enjoyable. Things like this make a great difference. My thanks and appreciation to the cook. The restaurant at Marriot Kochi is highly recommended.

In the middle of the city behind Lulu Mall,in the same complex. The entry and exit to the area is bad as lulu Mall traffic also gets combined. The reception was prompt, rooms are perfect business hotel feel. All the amenities in the room were par excellence. The all day dinning restaurant serves excellent breakfast, with vast food options. The crew at the restaurant was the best I have seen, very cooperative and attentive. Lobby area is usually very crowded and so less seating options.

The rooms are very thoughtfully made. Majorly all toiletries and set up are taken care in the room . The view is good. It’s a high raise building. The washroom has a nice marble table like seating place which I found interesting. Overall good service. The Ginger House Restaurant is a unique dining experience located in Kochi, Kerala. Situated in Jew Town, this restaurant is not just a place to enjoy delicious Indian cuisine but also an opportunity to immerse yourself in the country's rich heritage. The restaurant is housed within a museum filled with antique furniture and colonial-style decor, creating an old-world ambiance that adds to the dining experience.
Everyone were in their best to make our stay comfortable and safe. They came and talked to me often to ensure I was comfortable and not alone. Ashwini was very approachable and friendly. The night boys knew good English and ran all the way from downstairs to help me whenever called. Vino and the people in the restaurant were kind and cooked custom friendly to the tamil Nadu dishes I asked for. The whole hotel vibe was good and a good vibe to our eyes. Also, they were very honest in their talks n actions. The place is lovely like in some other world. There are so many antique pieces n artistic collections. We loved the stay. Our room honey and moon ceiling was excellent. Each room is different n unique in its own way.

Even though I didn’t dine here, I got a chance to explore the beautiful surroundings and antique-filled spaces of the Ginger House Restaurant and Hotel — and it truly stands out. Located right beside the water, this place feels like stepping into a living museum. The décor is a blend of heritage, handcrafted wooden art, vintage furniture and stunning bronze idols — every corner looks picture-perfect and full of history. The open seating area overlooking the backwaters creates a peaceful vibe, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy the view. Staff was polite and didn’t stop us from capturing photos/videos, which I really appreciated. I can't comment on the food taste yet, but the ambiance alone makes this place worth visiting. Perfect for anyone who loves antique charm, calm waterfront atmosphere, and unique décor.

Food 2/5 (2 for taste, 0 for pricing) Service (1/5) Atmosphere (5/5) they have a sea view at a table level They might charge you money for breathing air in their presence. The pricing for food doesn't make sense. They have THE VIEW and they squeeze money out of that from every food item you order. Even a water bottle costs 4 times the price. And not that the food was even tasty. Bang average. And the servers. No cleanliness, just some kid with shabby clothes. Absolutely no wait when I went and I don't expect it to change anytime. I don't understand how it still has 4 star reviews. Very disappointed.

A lovely restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch meal here particularly the Dahl tadka, breads and samosas. The kingfisher beer went down rather well in the heat too. Service was good throughout and it was nice to look out over the water

The ambience of this restaurant is soo good. You have a museum vibe with all those sculptures placed and the beach view was so cool. This place had a pleasant vibe. Like the service was very slow but it didn’t bother us at all as we were calmed by the peaceful beach view. In terms of food, ordered ginger tea, appam, chapathi and rice with chicken curry combo, omelette. The food was so cold. It looked like it was prepared in the early morning and they didn’t even try to reheat it. And now to the taste, the chicken masala was okayish. Not too tasty but just enough. It was a bit disappointing to have this type of food when you are paying Rs. 780 for this. I am giving it 3 star only for the ambience. Food was a cold and disappointing. The service was slow.
Sangeetha G — Google review
Food was good. But service was a bit slow. I asked for non-spicy but got the extreme spicy version of it. The restaurant was playing music from the same phone as the one where their personal message and voice notes came in. This killed the vibe.
Ashwin S — Google review
Poor service. Food comes after 45 minutes. Pricey. Will not revisit. The location is awesome. Needs an overhaul on staffing and service! They need to train or hire people with basic English and hospitality skills. Food is mediocre. The even got our lassi order wrong.

Would have been happy if there was a couple of fried dishes along this meal. Top notch service for sure, all the staff are very alert and know their KPI’s very well .. (business per seat at the peak hour 😅) TAT from the time one sits for lunch to paying of their bill 💸.. they are continuously on their toes..!!!

One of the best vegetarian restaurants in Kochi I’ve been to Brindhavan many times, with both friends and family. Honestly, it never disappoints. If you’re looking for proper vegetarian food in Kochi, this is definitely a go-to spot. Last time, I had their Masala Dosa and Dahi Puri. Both were just perfect. But honestly, most of the items I’ve tried here have been really good in taste. The only thing is, because the food is that good, the place gets very crowded, especially during lunch and dinner time. So yes, there’s usually a bit of waiting. But the place is super clean, the staff are nice, and the service is smooth. If I have to mention one drawback, it would be that the pricing feels a little on the higher side. But the quality makes it worth it. Highly recommended if you’re a vegetarian food lover in Kochi.

Went here multiple times pre Covid now went here again after a big gap. They also started Laghu food court in front of the restaurant with stand and eat tables for tea and snacks, so no need to go inside the restaurant. I tried pongal and sambar vada. Pongal was great with sambhar and 3 varieties of Chutnies. Sambar vada, Vada in sambar was kind of like rock took its own time to dissolve and slightly felt bittery however with pongal the sambar felt great. Not sure the cause of bitterness. Along with tea , overall it costs 156

I have dined at Brindavan bypass a few times and was never comfortable with the food there. But while ordering food via Swiggy yesterday, I made the mistake of ordering from the restaurant seeing Palarivattom in the address. It was not Palarivattom but Palarivattom bypass I ordered Pappadi chaat and cutlet chaat. I ordered Pappadi chaat for my young daughter and she complained of foul taste. I tasted it after she ate a little thinking she was imagining and it was awful. I called and complained, shared via WhatsApp but there's not even an apology from the Manager yet. Cutlet chaat was good to eat, but eventually ended up vomiting. We both had to take medicine. It seems the food was stale or they are reusing poor quality cooked oil repeatedly. I spent Rs 308 to get stale food. Horrible! Will never recommend the 'Bypass' restaurant of Brindavan. (Specifically mentioning the place we are regular customers of Palarivattom Jn restaurant and also have dined at the newly opened Mamangalam restaurant. Never faced issues at both these places)

Had masala dosa today and the tastes good, quality is also good. We usually prefer to have vegetarian food from here. No words for the new branch ambiance . Must visit once

Good food, but could have been better. We ordered the below: Dahi Puri: Very nice, didn't expect such in South India Dal Fry: Good but was very flat in taste. Steam rice: rice too hard, expected softer and easy to chew Aloo Jeera: tasted very nice, but the aloo pieces were cur too big and hence some of them slightly hard. Smaller cut pieces would have been perfect Kadai Paneer: Tasted very good and had a lot of Paneer, but very little gravy which we didn't expect. Phulka: toooo Thick! Phulkas are supposed to be very thin I thought Black Grape Juice: Just too Good! Fresh lime soda: disappointing. Perhaps they are not interested in making anything better All in all its a Good restaurant, nice atmosphere, good service food is good not as good as we expected. I wish they could rework a little bit on some basics.

Veg restaurant with high rating in Kochi, but after getting dosa and vada got disappointed as the food was average, not up to the mark. Surprised to see the reviews, today might be a hurry Sunday but they should not compromise on quality and service level. Closely monitoring of customers waiting and allotting seating so as to utilise maximum tables with minimum turn around time. As soon as we got to the table, suddenly an order was taken and with no time for waiting, the order was served and no further follow up bill was also prepared and shared. For sure will not visit again 😭

Absolutely delicious dosas with the perfect crisp and flavor. Loved the variety of chutneys and the piping hot sambar.Sambar was rich and comforting—perfectly spiced and satisfying. Friendly and attentive staff who clearly care about customer satisfaction. Quick service even during peak hours—very impressed. Clean, welcoming space with a cozy South Indian vibe. The queue management was excellent and very organized, even during busy hours. However, the dining space felt a bit cramped—expanding the seating area would make the experience even better.

Casino Hotel, CGH Earth

Located in Wellington Island, Kochi, the Casino Hotel, CGH Earth is an upscale property offering a serene and elegant stay. The hotel features relaxed rooms and suites, two restaurants, an Ayurveda spa, and a cozy bar. It is known for its heritage and elegance with friendly and helpful staff providing warm hospitality. The Harbour Lounge is ideal for hosting parties or boardroom meetings. Guests can enjoy excellent food and courteous service while admiring animal figures made with towels by the attentive staff.
We stayed at the hotel for three nights, and on our last day, we had dinner at the Fort Kochi Seafood Speciality Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the dining experience was wonderful. A colleague named Athira stood out for her attentiveness and professionalism truly impressive service. As someone from the hotel industry myself, I would rate her service as exceptional. We also visited the Vasco da Gama bar, where the ambiance was nice, although the service was a bit slow. Housekeeping was another highlight of our stay. The attendant, Irfan, was exceptionally attentive and delivered service with great care and professionalism. Overall, a memorable and satisfying experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a super comfortable stay at Casino Hotel! The vibe is warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Rooms are clean, spacious, and have that classic charm with a modern touch. The staff is really friendly and always ready to help with a smile. Loved the food — especially the seafood! The restaurant serves some amazing Kerala-style dishes. The pool area is peaceful, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. It’s a great base if you want to explore Kochi but also unwind at the end of the day. Would definitely come back again. Perfect mix of comfort, culture, and good vibes! 🌴✨

We enjoyed our stay at Casino Hotel, Willingdon Island, with family, with their Full Board plan. The culinary experience was exceptional—each dish carried a distinct touch of tradition, a legacy they’ve preserved beautifully over the years. The property offers good hosting options, including the option to reserve their entire Bar for private functions. Their poolside wedding reception setup is especially impressive for memorable celebrations. A perfect blend of heritage hospitality and thoughtful amenities..

I stayed with a couple of my friends. They serve very delicious food particularly seafood. Facilities are good. The washroom does not have a wet and dry area. The service is very good. Location wise not a very ideal choice as it is in Willingdon Island, which is a bit far away from the city. Ideal place to just chill and relax.

I had the opportunity to attend a event hosted at Casino Hotel, and from the moment I stepped in—drenched in heavy rain—I felt something truly rare. It began with a simple, heartwarming gesture: the security guard came rushing with an umbrella, shielding me with such genuine care. That small act set the tone for everything that followed. What stood out was not just the professionalism, but the soul behind their hospitality. Every interaction—be it the front desk, the banquet team, or the restaurant staff—felt sincere and warm, not staged. The lunch buffet was incredibly tempting, offering a wonderful spread of traditional Kerala flavours, just the way I like it. I was delighted to find some of my favourites on the menu, and to top it all off, their signature citron chocolate decadence left a lasting impression with its unique and memorable taste. Casino Hotel is not just a place to stay—it’s a place that makes you feel cared for. Now I truly understand why CGH Earth continues to grow and earn such admiration in the world of responsible and meaningful hospitality.

Had a great stay at Casino Hotel - CGH Earth, Kochi. One of the oldest hotels in the city, and it still has that old-world charm. Rooms were clean and spacious. Loved the food at both the seafood and Tharavaad restaurants. Staff were super friendly and made the stay even better. Would definitely recommend!
Dinesh K — Google review
We recently stayed at Casino Hotel, CGH Earth as a family — myself, my wife (a doctor), and our three young kids (5 yrs, 2 yrs, and 10 months). While the staff was polite and the atmosphere calm, several aspects of the stay fell short of expectations for a 5-star property. We reached around 6 PM, but the pool closes at 7 PM, giving us almost no time to use it. With a busy schedule and check-in delays due to work, the early 11 AM checkout the next day left no flexibility for families like ours. The room was basic and didn’t quite reflect a premium 5-star setup. One major discomfort was the lack of privacy in layout — all guests, including those returning from the pool, had to walk through the main reception area to reach the pool or the restaurant, which felt uncomfortable, especially with women and children. We were also disappointed to find that the Vasco da Gama bar was non-functional during our stay — it was rented out for a private external event. As in-house guests, we expected all facilities to be available. Instead, everything was moved to the Tharavadu restaurant, which disrupted the regular experience. On a positive note, we thoroughly enjoyed the buffet lunch and dinner packages, which had a great variety and were definitely worth the price. However, the complimentary breakfast was underwhelming, with very limited live counters and choices. While the CGH Earth brand ambience and staff were good, we genuinely hope they improve layout privacy, offer more flexible timing for families, and ensure all guest amenities are available as promised.

Grand Pavilion

Indian restaurant
Grand Pavilion, located at the Grand Hotel on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Kochi, offers a minimalistic-chic setting for enjoying a variety of multicuisine meals. The restaurant's menu features an array of dishes including North Indian, Kerala, and Continental fare. Known for its classic Kerala meals and upscale ambiance, this eatery is one of the oldest food establishments in Kochi.
Excellent ambience, well spaced and bustling, with a wide menu range (continental, chinese, kerala, goan, north and south indian), decent taste, and great service adds this restaurant to a must visit while in Kochi especially for its fish curry meals. Loved the various meal options including Veg, Chicken and Fish curry meals. Equally impressive was the omelette with hash browns, karimeen, well balanced butter milk, sambar and payasam (with the meals), brownie and Chicken biryani. Also has good parking space.

I had lunch from this fine place a few days ago. The restaurant is located inside the hotel and looked very professional. The food that i ordered, the karimeen fry was super fresh and had the right amount of spices and fried to perfection. The Mutton Biryani was delicious, the meat was soft and juicy and the quantity of meat was overwhelming in a good way. The succulent meat almost three times of what you would get in a normal restaurant. Overall a great experience, definitely want to try all their other dishes.

We went to Grand Pavillion for dinner after seeing a video review by a fellow vlogger. We had Alleppey fish curry, Kerala parotta, appam and Kerala beef roast. The dinner was delicious and the service was good. The beef roast was super tasty but it was a bit chewy...could have been cooked a bit more. The ambiance is pleasant and the restaurant has maintained its rustic look. The restaurant has been in service since 1963 and is one of the recommended restaurants to dine at in Kochi.

Tried quite a few items here on a weekday for lunch. The place was quite busy with customers waiting to be seated. Most of the food we tried was pretty good, including the kerala parotta, Chicken curry and fish wrapped in banana leaf. Although we were a bit disappointed with the size of the fish being quite small and the taste of the biryani not being as good as you would expect in a place of this kind. Prices are on the higher side, service was pretty good.

This is the grand old place of Kochi, been around for 62 years. The Grand Pavilion is the place to go for a sumptuous kerala style non-veg lunch (must try extra - Karimeen Pollichath).

**Avoid this restaurant if you care about your health and safety.** Yesterday we went for dinner and ordered chicken curry, mutton curry, rice, and Malabar paratha. The mutton was chewy, we complained and it was taken off the bill. But what happened next was absolutely revolting, we found a **huge cockroach** crawling right next to our table. When we called the waiter, he casually called someone over, laughed and everyone treated it like a joke. No apology. No urgency. No concern. This is not just bad service, this is disgusting, unhygienic and dangerous. A restaurant that treats such a serious issue so lightly should be shut down until they fix their hygiene standards.

Cochin International Airport (CIAL) is one of the better airports in India — clean, eco-friendly, and efficient. The solar power infrastructure is impressive and gives a positive feel. Terminals are spacious and well designed, with good amenities (lounges, shops, food). Security, immigration and baggage generally are handled well. Downsides: during peak hours, expect longer queues; food & services tend to be somewhat expensive; signage & transport info could be clearer. Overall: ★★★★☆ (4/5) — highly recommended.

Kochi Airport is truly one of the best airports in India. The cleanliness, ambience, and overall management are top-notch. What really stands out is the seating arrangement for passengers — it’s exceptionally comfortable and thoughtfully designed. There are plenty of seats available, and the waiting areas are spacious, relaxing, and well-maintained. The calm atmosphere makes the travel experience so much better. A perfect example of how passenger comfort should be prioritized at airports.

No fancy, no elaborate structure yet decent and very well maintained airport. My first visiting to this airport and I was very happy with entire experience. It's spacious, it's easy to navigate and there is no hassle of any kinds. The layout is well planned. Lots of shops to pic up artifacts, sweets, souvenirs and food of course. There are prayer rooms made (ladies and gents separate) the are VIP rooms and otherwise a very comfortable seating arrangementa for passengers to rest. You step out of the airport and swiftly book your cab for the journey ahead. There is private taxis, prepaid taxis, ola, uber. Withing seconds your cab will be there to fetch you the best experience compared to other airports and drama by the cab drivers

Cochin International Airport (COK), also known as Kochi International Airport, is the busiest airport in the Indian state of Kerala. Located in Nedumbassery, about 25–28 km northeast of downtown Kochi, it was the first airport in India built under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. Key facts about the airport: Ownership and management: It is owned and operated by Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL). Infrastructure: It has a single runway and is equipped with advanced technology for air traffic services, including radar systems and an instrument landing system. We are at Cochin International Airport after a long time (we usually use Trivandrum Airport as it’s closer to our home), and we are truly impressed! The airport is so modern, clean, and well-maintained. There is a great variety of shops – from watch stores, glasses, jewelry, chocolates, chips, snacks, and books to a whole store dedicated to coconuts, plus Ripple Tea and Lots of options are open and available, which is amazing. The staff is a mix – some are super sweet, while some are a bit rude. The only disappointing part of our experience was with one of the porters. He helped us with the luggage (just from the car to the baggage drop area), and he charged us ₹750 for barely 6–7 minutes of work. This felt like a total scam, as the service would have been reasonable at around ₹300–350. This left a bitter impression despite the otherwise excellent facilities. Overall, Cochin Airport has definitely leveled up and impressed us with its cleanliness, modern facilities, and variety of shops. Highly commendable!

One of the best airports visited by me which won the international award in 2018 for the most eco-friendly airport. This is the first airport I'm the world that runs purely on solar energy. The cleanliness around was just remarkable! The drinking water fountains all had paper cup supplies. And I have not seen such comfy chairs in any airport. Makes you feel like you are in someone's living room. Kudos to the people as well, for respecting the space and helping to keep it so clean. Excellent shops around to grab stuff on way home and also great cafes for food. Highly recommend.
