International airport
Airport
Domestic airport
Kansai International Airport, located on a man-made island in Osaka Harbor, serves the greater Osaka area and offers convenient rail access as well as an adjacent hotel. Travelers can easily explore nearby attractions such as Wakayama Castle, Marina City, and the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes during layovers of a few hours. Additionally, the airport is connected to various train stations within Osaka City and beyond, providing easy access to shopping, dining, and recreational options.
I think it is the most convenience airport to enter the main city in Japan due to just walk straight and you can enter the train easily. Not complicated like other airport. Have a lot of restaurant on the second floor but one thing to remind for shopper who want to shopping in duty free zone, there is not many shops as you thought.

Arrived at Terminal 2 for the first time in early July recently by budget Peach airline. The plane was parked out in the tarmac and had to walk with no shade to the terminal building. It was also quite a bit of walk to the immigration section. There were a few kiosks to register first and then join the long queue for the immigration counters. To get to the city by train, must first get on a free shuttle bus to Terminal 1 which is where the train station is The shuttle was efficient and it was just a short ride. Overall it was not so bad, just a process to go through like most airports.
Google L — Google review
A large but very well-designed airport with a large selection of quality shops and restaurants and snack bars with a good selection of refreshments at relatively reasonable prices. The airport is very easy to get to, both by taxi and via the airport express. The modern security control is also very comfortable, as you no longer have to take electronic devices and hygiene products out of your hand luggage. As a passenger, I was very satisfied every time I used the airport's services.
Adam S — Google review
Check-in crew was professional and quick, security check was smooth and fast as well. It was my first time in KIX airport (departure) and I wasn’t aware there’s an additional shuttle ride required to get to my gate; thinking it’s just right around the corner while I casually shopped around for more souvenirs and a meal for in-flight. When I come to realize that a shuttle was required, I was worried I’d be late. I usually leave sufficient time if not more for boarding but that was a different story. Ofc, it was partially my fault too for not familiarizing with a foreign new airport. They have limited restaurants around the area I was going before the shuttle and a particular Japanese restaurant felt very hostile. The gift shop was very packed and was rather small with limited choices. The queue took forever which ended up wasting around 10-15mins for me and they weren’t very professional either. Had to walk quite a distance (two vending machines away) from my gate to a different vending machine to find some cola. Apparently Coca Cola isn’t that popular so it’s not available in all vending machines. Luckily I had plenty of time left to get a soda to cool off.
Cameron G — Google review
Nice airport. We landed without any waiting to get to a gate. Passing through the customs was fast. We filled out the entry form and declaration form on the flight so did not have to stop at any point. The airport is very organized. Pretty much every corner you will see staff directing people in Japanese English and other languages. Some tax free stores on the way out. Snacks, cigarettes, wine etc. Then we exited to the luggage claim. The luggage came out lined up with handles at outside so easily for us to grab. Again, very organized. The airport is clean and easy to navigate.
Sharon H — Google review
Quite a unique place. At this airport there is nothing that you will miss. All of the facilities and services are just right there. Well if you will be there during some rush hours then you should be not surprised that if you wanna buy some Japanese snacks you will need to wait for a while in a Que to n every store. But generally good experience for all. Thank you🤩

For Muslim Travellers, there is a Halal Certified Food Stall on 2F call Kiko Magimaru inside "Tasty Street" outlet. There are Muslim Prayer rooms for Muslimin and Muslimah on the 3F. Another Prayer Rooms are found inside Departure Hall. Praying mats are available. Muslimah is advised to bring their own telekong. Shuttle Bus to Rinku Premium Outlet is located at berth 12 at 1st Floor. Fare ¥300 only. Good if you have big luggage. Train Fare cost ¥370 and could be crowded.
Norman N — Google review
Very modern and clean with clear English signs. Many seats and toilet. However, the seats with plug are not enough. Many food stalls are provided but most of them are quite expensive. The souvenir ahop and duty free provide lots of stuff that something cheaper than in town shopping😆 but close very early. At 9.30pm, many shops were already closed including the lounge!!!! About the immigration is quite slow, take long time waiting. You can get in town with many ways for example airport limousine bus, train.

Being a coastal town, Rinku boasts a number of parks scattered all around. This particular one, Rinku Park, is one of the most beautiful and serene park that one could envisage. Overlooking the sea towards Kansai airport as well as the bridge, the park has many amenities and different spots for you to enjoy the scenery. Factory Outlets
If you're a shopping enthusiast, the りんくうプレミアム・アウトレット mall is definitely worth a visit while you're in the kansai region. This outlet offers year-round sales and never disappoints shoppers. It's conveniently located near the train station and easily accessible via walkway. For those with larger feet, this mall is an excellent option as they offer shoes up to 30cm and their staff are friendly and helpful.
20250325 Always excellent to have a big outlet near the airport so we could shop till the last minutes. It is very big and has two big areas of shops on both sides of the road. Probably need to pre-read more information to save time. No all shops do tax-free and discount varies at different time, so don't expect big bargains. There is a big seaside area for family members who don't shop. Nice view. The only problem was that we didn't know how to claim free parking.
Ric W — Google review
Visited during off-peak so d shopping is leisure n comfy. Many big brands around n there r different bargains to attract. Visit for d bargains n not a specific brand/model, it beats shopping at d malls. There r 2 food courts which offer affordable food options JPY 1000-2000, including 7-11. Walkway between station n buildings aren't covered. Will need brolly during rainy season.

It is a very nice outlet with lots of shopping opportunities. I was able to shop nicely at furla, cosmetics company store, versace and swarowski. They had good deals on top of the sale prices. Would highly recommend.

20251031 - premium outlet mall that can be accessed by train or shuttle bus from the airport. Besides both local and discounted brands, there are also other normal stores nearby. Most shops offer good discount, and more with the discount voucher you can scan at the information counter. Managed to get some exclusive design bags that are only available in Rinku at good prices.

Rinku Preium outlet is a fantastic shopping destination near the Kansai International Airport. The outlet mall is huge and offers an impressive variety of stores from high end luxury brands to popular sports labels, along with shops selling kitchenware, household appliances, cosmetics. It’s an excellent place for shopping and casual browsing as well. The dinning options are varied and the view of Osaka Bay add a beautiful scenic touch to the shopping experience.

Premium Outlet shpping centre in Rinku town. 5 minute bus ride from Kansai (KIX) airport. There is a bus that leaves either way every hour and can be caught for 300 yen. About a 8 min walk from closest train station, passing through another outlet centre. Mall is spread over 2 levels and 2 buildings. Has alot of local and foreign branded stores. Has free wifi, small food court and another area containing several restaurants. Various discount vouchers can be obtained from their website. QR codes on posters throughout the centre can be scanned to access the website.

Drinks menu and food menu available at cheap prices and free cold and hot drinks from the machine

Stayed at the Aeroplaza Osaka during my trip — it was a comfortable and convenient experience overall. The location is excellent, directly connected to Kansai International Airport, making it ideal for early or late flights. ✈️ The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all basic amenities provided. Staff are polite, professional, and helpful, which adds to the overall comfort. The breakfast spread is good, with both Japanese and Western options available. 🍱☕ Perfect choice for transit travelers or anyone wanting an easy airport stay. Highly recommended for convenience, cleanliness, and service! 🌟

This place is clean! And BIG! I ate the Tonkatsu special which was excellent. The also give you free refills on cabbage salad. And their dressing is awesome! I highly recommend eating here if you are near the Kansai Airport.

I found this spot of an airport wing isn't much to enjoy. Expensive compared to the same shop in Osaka city. But the Nikko hotel attached to the building is quite nice.

If you need accommodation for an early-morning or late-night flight, you can choose from hotels that suit your budget, such as Hotel Nikko or First Cabin. A convenience store and a Nakau restaurant are located within the same building, so you can enjoy an affordable meal without going outside. The airport is just a few minutes’ walk away, making it very convenient for dining or souvenir shopping before your flight.

Buffet restaurant
Western restaurant
The Brasserie is a restaurant offering an all-day dining experience with a comprehensive buffet featuring seasonal vegetables. The dinner buffet offers a varied and interesting selection of dishes, including rich and hearty mussel and fish soup, sweet cream carrot soup, multiple appetizers like smoked salmon and poached chicken, as well as special fried chicken. The breakfast buffet provides delicious options with quick refills and a live cooking section. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and efficient service at this affordable airport hotel restaurant.
The breakfast buffet has lots of choices and the dishes are delicious! The staff are very friendly and helpful. They also refill the empty dishes very quickly. There is a live cooking section in the restaurant too. This is one of the best breakfast buffets that I had in Japan. Love the Mosou-mari egg, whitebait and the honeycomb honey there!
Isa T — Google review
At 5,000 yen per person, the Brasserie serves perhaps the most expensive and lavish breakfast at Kansai International Airport. It is located at the Aeroplaza building which is a short walk from the airport. The buffet breakfast has a wide variety of options that includes both Western and Asian food. I love the various drinks on offer (they even have sparkling wine). And I loved that they serve some local delicacies like okonomiyaki and takoyaki. However, the limited choice of vegetables and chicken options may limit those with stricter dietary requirements. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. As part of a hotel buffet breakfast, I wished they had more options. But as part of your breakfast before your flight, it is a feast to behold.
Eu N — Google review
Very affordable buffet considering it's a hotel buffet within the airport. Plenty of options with timely restocking when things are running low. I enjoyed it. Staff were courteous and seating was quick, we were sitting down and eating almost as soon as we walked in.
Ryan L — Google review
A nice breakfast buffet. Particularly the Takoyakis were great. It just feels quite expensive at 5000 yen per person. But unfortunately there are limited breakfast options in Aeroplaza.
Hampus H — Google review
All good … but. 15 min before closing shift, they stop refilling some stations and you end up eating salad with no lettuce, etc. Otherwise good ! So make sure you don’t be on the last shift.
Carlos O — Google review
Had a one night stop over at KIX, went to the dinner buffet alone to kill some time. Didn’t need to look at my phone, the food is very varied and interesting. The mussel and fish soup was a favourite- rich and hearty, the cream carrot soup was sweet and luxurious. Multiple appetisers with smoked salmon, poached chicken, beef carpaccio being the most memorable. ‘Special Fried chicken’ was next level. The fried fish was tasty, albeit slightly too oily. Salads were fresh. Desserts were also impeccable with opera cake, strawberry mouse, deconstructed black Forrest cake- all faultless. Donuts were good but would skip them next time as all the other dishes were better. I intended on trying some Japanese dishes but was led by my desire to try everything and was full before I knew it. I have found that even great Japanese restaurants don’t do European dishes justice, but this was not the case here. I was amazed to get such high quality food at a buffet! Staff were professional and friendly
Perceived V — Google review
The breakfast costs 4500 yen, which is around 30€. For japanese or even american taste, you can get to eat your moneys worth. But for people travelling from Europe, there isn’t much… Just coffee, white toast and fruit. They have a lot of warm dishes, so what I would have wished for would have been some fresh oven baked bread and good toppings like emmental cheese, cucumber and lettuce. They have like 5 different types of juice, but I would have hoped one of them could have been smoothie.

Mametora Rinku Premium Outlet is a popular restaurant located on the second floor of the Rinku Outlet Mall. The spacious restaurant offers seating for families and has menus available in English, Chinese, and Korean. Visitors recommend this place for its delicious and reasonably priced food, with options like tempura and sashimi being highly recommended. Despite being located in an outlet mall, the quality of the food is surprisingly high.
Good food at great prices too. Pleasantly surprised for such good quality of food. Had the Ten Don dish with ample serving of food. The chicken karange is another value for money option. A good meal stop in between shopping at this Premium outlet mall. 😁

This is one of the better tempura spots I’ve tried. The batter had the perfect balance of saltiness and crunch that I enjoy. I also liked the colorful food display outside—it made choosing what to order fun and easy. The price is also just right—it cost us around 5000 Yen for 2 people.

Our first meal at Osaka and already so impressed 😊. The sashimi is fresh and miso soup not overly saltish at all which we like

I went here for lunch and ordered the eel tendon with a beer. The food really impressed me, super fresh and delicious. For the price it’s definitely worth it and I’d come back again. Next time I’ll probably get a bigger portion of rice. The only downside is that things move a little slow. The line doesn’t move quickly, though once you order the food comes out in a reasonable time.

Saizeriya is a family restaurant known for its affordable prices and unique dining experience. One of their standout offerings is the renowned Japanese pizza, which can be ordered using a convenient system where customers write down their preferences and hand the receipt to the waiter. However, some customers have found that this pizza lacks flavor due to the absence of spices such as thyme or marjoram, and the sausage leaves much to be desired in terms of taste.
Been here so many times. It had many branches around Japan. The price is very cheap, the food is delicious and good quality. Specialized in Japan food. They also offer free refill drinks with only 200yen.

We ordered spaghetti vongole, squid ink pasta, minestrone. What a pleasant surprise given the price is cheap, the ingredients given was generous, taste was OK for a chain restaurant standard. Minestrone was full with stuffs which you could see from the photo. Will definitely try again. We ended our meal with a tiramisu, which is nice as well. You shan't expect a fine dining experience here, for what is worth, the quality definitely surpassed my expectations for the price charged. For someone who wants to enjoy food that doesn't hurt your budget in Japan, this restaurant definitely comes up on top!

Benitora Gyozabou is a renowned Chinese eatery in town that serves delectable dishes. Their fried rice, which emanates a delightful aroma and has a pleasing flavor, comes in larger portions than usual. However, it is advisable to exercise caution when placing an order to avoid overindulgence. While the prices at Benitora Gyozabou may be slightly higher than average, they are still acceptable.

The food was pretty good. Just be aware that they bring out the dishes as they are cooked, so the person who gets their food first might finish before the last person is served. If you have time to kill, that isn’t a problem.

Due to cancellation of my flight I got a lunch coupon from the airline. The airline staff said, as well as it shows on the coupon, that I could use it at any airport restaurants. I chose this restaurant because I’ve had almost all kind of Japanese food during my holiday. So I thought that is nothing wrong to having Chinese cuisine, which price class is normally higher than Japanese in Japan, just once in Japan BUT obviously it wasn’t a right decision. Food is a bit better than service there. I assumed I should pay for the difference which above the fixed amount of the coupon but the coupon surprised the waitress. She came back to me after discussed with her colleagues then said that they don’t accept that and that surprised me. I told what I’ve been informed and what shows on the coupon gently but she said unreasonably that EVERY RESTAURANTS??? in the airport accepted it but not in their restaurant. I couldn’t understand why so I expended my point again but I got the same answer again and again. So I asked for the manager. Same unacceptable answer again. After I became harder, he said OK. Chinese way to solve problems in Japan?.......whatever.......delaying and cancellation happen very often in every airport....if they have the right to not accept airline coupon...... if they had put a sign on the window—showing to customers in advance that they don’t accept all or some airline coupon.....you couldn’t see this comment.....but why they accept all costumers and reject their coupon?.......that is the question.

Shopping
Rinku Pleasure Town Seacle is a two-story shopping complex that features an extensive range of restaurants and shops, including a food court, game center, bowling alley, and motorbike shop. The mall boasts a free parking space for one hour and offers three hours of free parking to those who spend over 2,000 yen. Moreover, the location provides easy accessibility for travelers because it's near the airport.
Ah, Rinku Seagle Shopping is a convenient and practical shopping destination near Kansai Airport, perfect for travelers looking to pick up last-minute souvenirs, snacks, or essentials. The mall features a variety of stores, including a well-stocked supermarket, drugstores, and specialty shops offering Japanese goods like cosmetics, snacks, and alcohol. Prices are reasonable, and the selection is great for gifts or personal use. The location is ideal, especially for those with layovers or staying at nearby hotels, as it’s just a short shuttle ride from the airport. While it’s not a large or high-end mall, its practicality and proximity to the airport make it a handy spot for quick shopping before or after a flight!

This shopping complex is located next to Rinku Town station and Rinku Town Premium Outlet. It is a 2-story building. There is a food court on the 2nd floor. A small supermarket on the ground floor. And for bike lover, the Bike World shop is on the outside. You can also ride the ferwheel.
Peter L — Google review
Plenty of different brands available here, just need to manage your expectations and don't expect the newest and latest. You could easily spend the whole day here if you have the time.
Jimson W — Google review
Great overall mall for everything you need; shops, market, huge ferris wheel, and multiple food courts. Also, right next to an outlet mall. Parking is free depending on how much you spend.
Shawn R — Google review
Outlet shopping close to the Kansai airport (1 train stop). A couple of minutes walk from train station. A slightly more budget friendly shopping outlet next to the Rinku premium outlet. Has a nice foodcourt. Can get a coupon booklet from the information kiosk downstairs for discounts to various stores. There was also a Line App promotions while I was there for more additional discounts. Buyer beware though as some places have marked up prices. There is also a Ferris wheel here.
Ouy ( — Google review
Only Good to spend here when there is an offer otherwise we just pass by here to go to Rinku Premium Outlet. But Good price at Coca. My wife bought 2 Blouse at reasonable price. Also there's a big shop at level 1 call Seria. Everything is ¥100. Better than Daiso

Rinku Town, a must-visit shopping destination near Kansai Airport, offers a wide range of brand-name stores to choose from. The area is well-known for frequent sales and discounts throughout the year. If you’re visiting Kansai, this spot is not to be missed!

Conveniently located between Rinku Town Station and Rinku Premium Outlet, Seacle is a shopping centre that offers a variety of shops, a food court and an outdoor Ferris Wheel which is the landmark of this town. Here, you won't find your typical brands as most are local and one off, which makes it more interesting.

Izumisano Station, situated in Izumisano City, Osaka, is a crucial transportation center served by the Nankai Railway. It's a convenient stop for travelers heading to Kansai International Airport and downtown Osaka. The station offers various amenities such as shops, restaurants, and ticket counters. Additionally, it provides easy access to Wakayama and Rinku Town with transfer options available for different destinations.
A quiet town, small station very easy to navigate. 2 stations away from kansai airport. Take platform 2 if you want to go to kansai airport, 10 mins away There is a drugstore with 5k yen tax free spending, a 100 yen shop, 7-eleven, hotel that public bath is available for a fee. Nice ramen shop called asahi ramen nearby.

I deleted my review of Izumisano Station by mistake, and I'm reposting it. I picked a hotel (also reviewed) in Izumisano and I didn't realize that it was pretty close to my hotel not that I was disappointed by that. The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of Izumisano. There are tons of Izakaya's and 100 Yen shops and Combini close to the station. The train is nice and clean there are a variety of trains including the airport express that stops there. There's also a seaport near there I'm pretty sure since I've heard some ship horns while waiting for a train. Izumisano is a quiet little town in Japan that you should visit, I'm thinking about going back soon.

Nankai line station, to get to Kansai airport. For me, it has no particular interest for travelers, apart from being close to the airport (2 stops) and therefore being a place to go or wait, if your flights bring you very early and/or very late (and therefore, you fear falling into the time slot where the trains stop).
Martin M — Google review
A simple & small station which is closest to KIX Airport - it takes exactly 9 mins to reach. If you are connecting very early flight, it is highly recommended to stay in Izumisano. There are hotels, eateries, convenient stores, supermarket, coin laundry, and buses going to the neighboring tourist attractions.

Sea wind mixes with fish markets and temple bells. Izumisano smells of salt and devotion — a working port with a pilgrim’s heart. Tourist Tip: Close to Kansai Airport and Rinku Town. Visit Nishikinohama Beach or shop for pearls and seafood. Excellent for travelers heading south or to the islands.

Kishiwada Castle is a historic fortress with a moat that boasts traditional Japanese architecture and an exquisite garden. The castle's surroundings are stunning, with vendors selling trinkets and street food on Sundays amidst Sakura blossoms that fall all around. Despite some poorly assembled stonework, the area remains beautiful and features an excellent stone garden while also housing various businesses. A dojo located within one of the castle buildings adds to the cool atmosphere of this site.
Amazing castle. Very quiet with hardly any crowds. The history was very interesting and the staff were friendly. No lift to the top however it's not a big climb and the internal stairs are nice and easy to climb plus you can take a break halfway up to view the museum floor of which there are two plus a model of the castle on the top floor where the balcony / viewing platform is. The rock garden is very peaceful and you can sit under the sade of trees or in the sun if you choose to take it in. There is a history of the castle, including the story of the myth surrounding the castles defense, which is well worth viewing.

Beautiful castle, especially during cherry blossom season. Pretty calm, mainly Japanese tourists. Lots of street food stands just outside to eat in the sun with a view, I had a tasty okonomoyaki prepared by the sweetest joyful senior Japanese guy!

Its a nice castle. One of the castles that can be found in Southern part of Osaka. The admission is just ¥300 per head. It shows the charming and serene piece of medieval Japan. The Hachijin Garden that spreads out in front of the castle tower is also a must-see

Unfortunately the castle was temporarily closed on that day I visited. But it looks magnificent from the outside. The moat was likely with animals and the grounds outside was a nice walk. Take your time and enjoy the peace and quiet!

Randomly ended up here. Normal town yet the neighbourhood near the castle is all castle themed. Gates, roofs, footpaths etc. It's soo cool. You can go inside the castle between 9-16. I was a tad bit late. But the area outside the castle is really beautiful
StarChomp — Google review
The area around the castle is gorgeous and on a Sunday filled with vendors selling trinkets and street food. Sakura blossoms were falling everywhere. The stonework is not well assembled, but it is still a beautiful area with a fantastic stone garden. The grounds are active with businesses. There was a dojo in one of the castle buildings actively in use. Very cool atmosphere.

Kishiwada Castle is an exquisite piece of history that offers a tranquil escape from the bustling tourist spots. Nestled in a less crowded area, this castle stands as a serene beacon, inviting those who seek a more intimate encounter with Japan’s rich past. The peaceful atmosphere here allows for a leisurely exploration of the grounds and the stunning architecture, providing a sense of stepping back in time. What makes Kishiwada Castle even more special is the charming café located within its premises. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a light snack and a cup of coffee after wandering around the castle. The café’s cozy ambiance complements the tranquil vibe of the castle, making it an ideal place to relax and reflect on the beauty you’ve just explored. For travelers who wish to immerse themselves in Japanese history and culture away from the overwhelming crowds, Kishiwada Castle is a perfect choice. Its serene environment, coupled with the convenience of having a delightful café on-site, makes for a truly enjoyable visit. This castle is not just a historical landmark; it’s a haven of peace and beauty, ideal for those looking to experience the quieter, more contemplative side of Japan. I cannot recommend Kishiwada Castle enough to anyone visiting the area. Its allure lies not only in its historical significance but also in its ability to offer a tranquil, crowd-free experience. A well-deserved five stars for this hidden gem!

I was curious about the view from the train, so I got off the train. Unfortunately, it was closed that day. I should have checked before going. It takes about 15 minutes from the station to Ninomaru and the castle tower. The memorial hall in front of the station has local souvenirs and the coffee is delicious.

Rinku-Town Station, located just one stop away from Kansai International Airport in Japan, is a strategic transit point for travelers. The station offers easy access to amenities and connects to nearby hotels. It also provides convenient links to the airport via a speed train and features a Lawson store, tourist information counter, and friendly staff. Additionally, Rinku-Town Station serves as a gateway to the premium outlet and offers affordable luggage storage options.
Glass towers rise beside the sea, their reflections shimmering in calm water. Rinkū-Town feels like a mirage of modernity — malls, hotels, and the endless sky. The wind here tastes of salt and convenience, carrying the excitement of last-minute shopping and quiet goodbyes. Tourist Tip: One stop before the airport. Home to Rinkū Premium Outlets and seaside parks. Excellent for duty-free shopping, dining, and ocean sunsets. Many travelers stay overnight here before flights.

If you are planning to transit to your early or late flight, it might be better idea to be based here in Rinku-town. Station is strategically located at the centre of Rinku-town, close to many amenities should you need to gain access to them. For us, we felt that stopping at this station and staying close-by here is better than lodging ourselves at a hotel at the airport itself. Why? Cos there is so much you can do and see here rather than be stuck at an airport hotel!

臨空城 rinku town, one station before arriving at osaka kansai airport, so if you have plenty of time before the flight schedule, and you like shopping and gourmet, this is the place to be, to hang around, there are more than fifty restaurants or food stalls catering to different tastes or styles: taiwan, japanese, chinese, western, italian different price ranges, and many brands of sporting goods, mainly US, European… you can find from premium outlet, during evening, can also enjoy sunset

Very convenient as there are plenty of daily luggage storage for 300-500 yen. We recommend the one behind the Izumisano Information Center for 400 yen, because the staff was very friendly. They let us store a cardboard box along our suitcase for no additional cost. The station is also connected by skybridge to the nearby mall/outlet if you want to take your suitcase in tow.

There are no escalators on the platform as I can see. So everyone carrying luggage can just wait for the lift. It took us about 5 minutes to leave the platform.🤡

On a particularly memorable evening, my return from Sapporo led me to catch the last train to Nankai Osaka at 23:40. Despite the late hour, the train provided a safe and punctual journey back to the city, allowing me to conclude my day's adventures with ease.

I take the train back to Osaka every day after work, and every day, whether going or coming back, there is a delay on the train. On October 19, 2025, my train was completely stopped and I was asked to change trains. When I took the new train, they made me pay double for the same journey, even though they were the ones who told me to take the train !!!

Aside from the coin lockers, there are also baggage storage stores within the station that costs less than coin locker rates. Only ¥400 per bag for the whole day (until 7:30 pm)

Shipporyuji is a 7th-century Shingon Buddhist temple situated on a remote mountainside. It boasts of a nearby waterfall that adds to its charm. While the road leading towards the temple can be congested and tricky at times, it's worth visiting for nature enthusiasts who can experience the smell of trees, mountains, and fresh air. The toilet facilities are available on-site, and visitors are required to wear masks while exploring the temple premises.

This was my 4th visit 😆 I took the bus from Hineno station fee 460¥ , and it takes about 20 mins (the bus comes every hour) .We got off at the last stop and walked about 30 mins. During the rainy season, the forest was soooooo green, there were 2-3 waterfalls with crystal clear water 😃 Dont forget to check for the last bus from Inunakisan @1850 pm.

Awesome place . I went here with my sister and that too in rainy day it was little dangerous because we were in fear of slippery road . The road towards the mountains is little congested and while coming back we faced some difficulty when one more car came in front of us . So new drivers be careful . But worth going we loved it . O my god the smell of real nature you really can feel the smell of trees 🌲mountains and air .so I came again here with my family and this time we came here in sunny 🌞 day it was awesome feeling must visit place . Toilet is available. Mask is compulsory. Parking lot is free.

Conveyor belt sushi restaurant
Sushi restaurant
Daiki Suisan Rinku Seacle is a popular conveyor belt sushi restaurant located conveniently near train stations and hotels. The experience is user-friendly, with options for English guidance and menu available. The wide selection of food items, particularly nigiri, can be ordered by fish type or price. Customers have praised the fresh and delicious quality of the sushi at reasonable prices. The efficient service and larger pieces of fish on the rice make it stand out among other similar restaurants in Japan.
This place is still a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, but what makes it nice is that you also have the option to order directly from an iPad. When you do, the staff bring the food to your table, which feels a bit more personal and convenient. The combination of the belt and the ordering system works well, since you can either grab something quickly as it comes around or choose exactly what you want. The quality of the sushi really stood out to me. The ingredients taste fresh, and everything I tried was flavorful and well prepared. Compared to Sushiro, it is definitely more expensive, but I felt the quality was noticeably higher. If you care more about taste and freshness, it’s worth paying a bit extra. Overall, I had a great experience here. The food was delicious, the ordering system was easy to use, and I liked the balance between the conveyor belt setup and the option to order. I think I’ll be visiting again when I want sushi that feels a little higher quality than the big chain spots.
Sukha L — Google review
Ordered some of these items from the tablet at the table for lunch ~3-4pm, and the staff handed us our ordered items (except for chawanmushi) from the chef preparation counter to our table. You can make your own matcha tea from the powder, while waiting. The cutest was the sea bream with egg yolk sauce 🤣 Overall, the staff were pleasant to us and the food was served promptly. Was a pleasant meal for a first try.

We've been in Japan 20 days, and in all that time we must have eaten sushi at least 10 of those days. Out of all the sushi places we ate at, this place was hands down thee best conveyor belt sushi we ate at. For the price, quality, ease of ordering, and environment, this place cannot be beat. We only wish we'd had found this place sooner.

My go to sushi spot in Osaka! My absolute favorites here are the Bluefin Tuna Sushi, Bluefin Tuna Collar, and Salmon Sushi…all RAW! 😄 Honestly, I’m not usually the type who enjoys raw sushi, but here, I’ll gladly make an exception. Guests can enjoy the convenience of its location near the train station and shopping mall, with easy access to the airport. The hotel's six restaurants offer diverse dining options, while a spa provides relaxation for travelers.
We had a great experience. It's connected to the rail line, close to the airport, and great views! The staff was super friendly/ helpful. Based on other reviews and pics I already knew to expect a "dated" room. It wasn't the most modern, but it was clean and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. Also, the breakfast buffet was great. Tons of options (both Western and Eastern).

Awful hotel! Elevator made so much noise that the entire room was shaking. Toilet was making a terrific noise as well. Asked staff if I could be moved to a different room, but all they could do was offer me the same room 2 floors higher, which had exactly the same issues. They also had an unfriendly attitude about the entire situation. Aside from the noise, the hotel also looked dated. Avoid!
Deckard C — Google review
The hotel is right in front of you when you exit the station. The hotel is also nearby from Rinku Premium Outlets, so you can enjoy shopping until 8 pm and find plenty of affordable places to eat there. You can also ride the Ferris wheel and enjoy the night view from there.

Please avoid this hotel if you can. Elevator noise is annoying and the entire hotel feels/smell like smoking chamber. There are other options in the vicinity and please consider them before you book anything with this hotel.
Harshal W — Google review
Disappointing. As noted in some other reviews, the rooms are poorly maintained and not properly cleaned. The curtains and carpets in our room should have been replaced years ago. One cupboard was nailed shut and there were stains on the cupboards and walls. The staff were quick and efficient but less than welcoming, even though our conversation was in Japanese. The lobby was nicely decorated, which only made the poor state of the room look worse. We previously stayed in the Odysis suites hotel in the same building, and that was much cleaner, better maintained, and cheaper.

H ( — Google review
(warning: noise!!) Summary: Easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed at, and I've stayed in hundreds. Incredibly noisy, bad staff attitude, and dated furnishing. Review: Oh boy, this was quite the stay. Do you know the movie The Blues Brothers, where Elwood's apartment has so much noise whenever a train comes by that the room vibrates and shakes, and speech becomes almost impossible? That was our room in this hotel whenever the elevator came by. Easily the biggest issue that we had is the noise, as our room was directly next to the elevator, which blasts by at incredible speed if the user needs to be on one of the top floors. The sound in the room was comparable to a metro rushing by at close distance. In order to be able to hear the other person, they would have to explicitly raise their voice to get over the noise. We also tried increasing the volume of the tv, but we had to raise it to such high volumes that it made us uncomfortable, and also worried that we'd disturb our neighbours through these clearly-very-thin walls. Getting sleep in this noise was absolutely impossible. Normally I'd stop writing about this topic here, but there is one more major source of noise: the toilet. Perhaps due to the amount of floors in the building, they had to install the type of toilet that you would find in an airplane. These flush the toilet clean with tremendous noise. The door did a very poor job at masking the noise. In short, going to the bathroom without everyone being wide-awake was impossible. This was the first time that we've ever raised a complaint at the hotel, because normally we are too shy to make a fuss, but we requested a different room. We didn't want a better room, just any room that was further away from the elevator. Initially they discussed upgrading our room, but then they started talking to eachother in Japanese, and the offer was retracted. We found this very unprofessional, but we didn't mind too much, as we just wanted a quiet room. So they brought us to our new room... Which was just 1 door away from the room we were originally in. It was a bit quieter, but really not much, because the walls are very thin. We tried to explain the point that we believed was obvious as we started laughing every time an elevator came thundering by again and again. The staff was just poker-faced and seemingly frustrated that we didn't just accept our fate of staying in a noisy room. Not once did the staff apologize for us having to ask for another room. We were tired, frustrated, and decided to take our losses and sleep in another hotel instead, as we didn't want to risk a sleepless night ahead of a long flight back home. Other negative but less important points: the rooms were very dated with chipped paint everywhere. Tv had limited channels and was also quite dated. The bathroom also had a dated feel. I will also list the good points, of which there are few: The entrance hall looks great. They provide a free luggage storage option if you arrive early. You get complementary water in the room, and the rooms are quite spacious for the price we paid. We stayed on the 39th floor. The view is, depending on if you have any fear of heights, either spectacular or a little eerie. If the room was quieter, I can see why you'd have a good time. Booking a room is like playing Russian roulette: play at your own risk.

Giving it a complete one star. Most disgusting hotel I’ve ever visited. Staff seemed to be nice, but there wasn’t a room that wasn’t non smoking (which isn’t their fault). But good Lord, as soon as I entered the room, it reeks of cigarettes. No effort from them to try and get rid of the smell. It’s awful. Pure cigarette smell. Plus, the stains are literally awful. I refuse to even pull out the couch bed because it has dark stains all over its floor is disgustingly stained, rooms are horribly outdated, blankets, walls, and pillows seem to be originally white but they are a yellow ish color now. Absolutely diabolical that this place even gets people. The lobby makes it seem like it’s going to be a great hotel. It is not at all a 4 star hotel. 100% should be a 2 star AT MOST. Only good thing about it is the view, but the rooms on the 49th and 50th floors are disgusting

Okonomiyaki restaurant
Nestled in a cozy alley, Bunbuku is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. Despite its unassuming exterior, this popular eatery serves up mouthwatering dishes that keep patrons coming back for more. While it often draws crowds, timing your visit can lead to immediate seating—especially if you arrive before peak hours.
Super delicious and cool place! Lovely 😍

A very local restaurant with great okonomiyaki and yakisoba. Recommend to let the food on the pan for a bit to get bit of crispiness at the bottom which add another layer of flavor which go very well with cold beer. You can smoke in the restaurant so non-smokers out there have to watch out a bit. All the menu are in Japanese and only accept cash. So tourists (like me) might have hard time ordering but highly recommend to visit.

(Translated by Google) At dinner time, I went to a popular okonomiyaki restaurant [Okonomiyaki Bumpuku] in Izumisano City, Osaka Prefecture. This restaurant currently has a high Tabelog rating of 3.52. There is no parking lot, so we parked at a nearby coin parking lot. It's located a little inside from the main street, and as you approach the store, you get a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. There is a cute lantern-like light at the entrance, and you can see the okonomiyaki being grilled through the bamboo blinds, which smells fragrant. Since it was just after 5pm, we were able to get a seat right away. The hostess came to take our order and said that the recommended dishes were ``Doteyaki'' and ``Butatama.'' I was told that there would be 4 pieces of doteyaki and oyster okonomiyaki, so I ordered ``Kakibuta''❗ I had the choice of baking it myself or having it baked and brought to me, and I decided to have it baked and brought to me. Since it was a mayonnaise, I also asked for mayonnaise. By the way, mayonnaise at this store costs 20 yen. However, when I looked at the menu, the butatama cost 470 yen❗ It's cheap to get change with just one coin❗ Oyster balls containing oysters cost 670 yen, which is a great price in Showa❗ First, doteyaki❗ Nagoya's ``Dotuni'' is almost black in color, but the ``Doteyaki'' here is yellow. This Doteyaki is very delicious and would go well with sake. In general, doteyaki is stewed in white miso, and as someone who grew up eating miso soup made with white miso, it feels familiar to me. With the sweetness of mirin and the white miso, the doteyaki had a mellow taste that was delicious even when eaten with seasoning. I've never eaten this in Nagoya. Next, oyster pig❗ Although the okonomiyaki is not very thick, it has a fluffy texture and is very delicious. The sauce is mellow, neither spicy nor sweet, and has a good flavor. The taste is something different from the delicious okonomiyaki I've had in Nagoya so far. It contains 5 oysters and goes well with okonomiyaki. The okonomiyaki left such an impression on me that I could still feel the lingering flavor of the okonomiyaki in the car on the way home. It's just okonomiyaki, but it still gives the impression that it's okonomiyaki. The wife says that the shop has been in business for 70 years, since her parents' generation, and that it has gone through a lot of trouble up until now. This shop has been around since the 1940s after the war. It was a deep feeling to be able to enjoy the taste of common people at this long-established restaurant, which has been enjoyed throughout various eras, including the post-war Showa era, the period of high economic growth, the bubble economy, and the bursting of the bubble economy. It was delicious❗ The online information said it would close at 7pm, but on this day it closed at 6pm. Does it differ depending on the day? Or maybe you have to close early? Please be careful. Belly bread❗ Thank you for the meal❗ (Original)

(Translated by Google) It's a popular restaurant that usually has a line, but when I went there before 2pm on a weekday, I was shown to a seat right away. It seems that depending on the timing, you can get in without lining up. I had heard rumors that the doteyaki was delicious, so I ordered it. It was served quickly, the sweet miso was well-infused, and I ate three in the time it took for the okonomiyaki to be ready♪ (It's a taste that makes you want rice...) The okonomiyaki is basically cooked by yourself, but you can also ask them to cook it for you in the store. This time I ordered modern-yaki and mixed-yaki. Sauce, green laver, and powdered bonito are prepared on the table. Mayonnaise comes in small packets and costs 20 yen each. I ordered a mix and a doteyaki. You can cook your own okonomiyaki, but they cooked it for you. While they were doing that, I had the doteyaki. It's cheap!! It's delicious!! If I had to say one thing, it would be even better if it was warm. The mix okonomiyaki is also great value for the price. I like the sauce flavor, so I added mayonnaise for just 20 yen. It comes in a bag, so you can do it yourself. In fact, it's a new experience🍴 The heat of the griddle is good. The sauce never dries out, and the dough never gets crispy.👌 If this place was in my neighborhood, I'd probably go there often. I've been here many times, but this is the first time I was able to get in right away! By the way, the customer service is unfriendly, but I think you'll get used to it as you continue to go there since they're just brisk. I went to eat some delicious okonomiyaki and summer-only walnut ice. The price has gone up since then, but it's still cheap. I ordered 2 okonomiyaki pork balls, 2 mayonnaise, a large yakisoba bowl, and walnut ice for 2,000 yen. Grill your okonomiyaki the way you like it. Sauce, bonito flakes, and seaweed are always available, so choose according to your taste! Mayonnaise is +20 yen/bag. When the okonomiyaki arrives, I ask for mayonnaise. The yakisoba comes ready-made, so it's best to leave the space between the griddles open. It's best to order the walnut ice when you're finished eating. It's a shaved ice with about 3 small walnut mochi pieces in it, and you can only get it here, so it's recommended. I didn't eat it that day, but the doteyaki is delicious! There is no parking lot, so pay parking! The Osaka-style okonomiyaki was also delicious. I think it's best to mix okonomiyaki, and the yakisoba was plain, so I don't think you need to order it here. You basically have to make okonomiyaki yourself, but if you're a foreigner, they'll make it for you, so don't worry too much. The only regret is that you have to buy a small mayonnaise separately, and the store's operating hours are short. The menu is the orthodox Matsuya gyudon restaurant menu. The meat quality of the Kalbi Yakiniku set meal is reasonable for the price, but the sauce is delicious. Is it a hot topic? I think the rouleau rice is delicious, but the quality was commensurate with the price. I like this among the gyudon chains. The interior of the restaurant is a traditional gyudon restaurant style with a U-shaped counter and table seats. The site has a difference in elevation, so there are stairs from the parking lot to the store. If you are using a wheelchair, you will have to walk all the way around the store on the slope within the premises, so it is not recommended. Beach
Sen'nan Marble Beach is a picturesque coastal area adorned with cobblestones, offering a stunning contrast against the deep blue sea. While walking on the beach may be challenging due to the large cobblestones, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking glare of the sun and take in panoramic views from an observation deck and small park. Families can have a delightful time here, and parking is available for a fee within the park or for free at AEON MALL across the street.
Sennan Marble Beach, located in Osaka Prefecture, is a picturesque coastal spot known for its smooth white pebbles and stunning sunset views over the sea. The serene atmosphere makes it an ideal place for a relaxing stroll or a quiet escape from the city. Its proximity to Kansai International Airport offers a unique backdrop, with planes occasionally flying overhead. While the beach isn’t ideal for swimming due to its rocky nature, it’s perfect for photography or unwinding by the water. With nearby cafes and facilities, it’s a peaceful and scenic destination worth visiting.

Sennan Marble Beach offers a magnificient view that feels like stepping into another world. The stretch of smooth white marble stones shining under the bright sun creates a view so striking that it feels clean and marvellous. Walking across the marble shore, you feel an unexpected calm—the sea breeze, the rhythm of the waves, and the endless horizon melt away any stress from daily life. The sunsets here are special and certainly unforgettable. As the sky turns gold and pink, the sea and horizon blend into a dreamlike canvas—it’s the kind of beauty that makes you pause and just breathe. Whether you’re looking to take stunning photos, share a quiet walk with someone special, or simply spend a reflective moment alone, this place has a rare magic. What makes the experience even better is the variety of nearby spots. After a stroll on the beach, you can grab a good burger, sip a tropical drink at the Hawaii Café, enjoy your favorite Starbucks coffee, or unwind at the relaxing onsen and spa. It’s the perfect balance of natural beauty and modern comfort. If you’re looking for a place to escape the city rush and truly recharge, Sennan Marble Beach is the kind of destination that fills both your eyes and your heart. Right besides it there is also a grass and amazing sand beach.

An indoor playground with a large space forest kids 8 years old and below. Costs 600¥ for 60mins of play. Has a ball pit, robotic activities, rides, slides, balloon area. Very suitable for children of smaller ages. There's a hard tube slide which slides very fast and may not be suitable for small children. It's affordable and great to occupy kids while the grownups go shopping nearby at the outlet mall. Very clean interior with peaceful vibes. Not many customers during our afternoon on a Friday.

Great place for kids (Japanese or not) to burn off some energy! 1 stop away from the airport, this place is perfect for families with long layovers at KIX. Lots of rides and things to climb on. The entire place has soft flooring and plenty of places for jetlagged parents to sit inside or outside of the play area. The place is right next to the train station and there are other arcades, bowling and outlet stores to pass the time

Lovely place for kids to burn off their energy! My 23mo had a crazy fun time running all around, climbing and sliding. Place is kept clean and tidy. The elderly man at the reception is very friendly and very nice!

Ice skating rink
Kanku Ice Arena is a new attraction in Izumisano, set to open in December 2019. The arena boasts clean facilities and a well-maintained rink, with thin ice reminiscent of Taiwanese shaved ice. It's noted as the only link in western Japan that can achieve such clean cuts. Specializing in competitive figure skating, the arena offers ample practice equipment for spinning jumps, making it a favored spot for figure skaters.
(Translated by Google) This is a beautiful ice skating rink that opened in December 2019 at the foot of the Kansai Airport Bridge and is open all year round. The lockers, shoes, and toilets are clean, so I highly recommend it. Parking is free for the first 30 minutes 200 yen per 60 minutes The maximum charge until 24:00 is 400 yen on weekdays from Monday to Friday. On weekends and holidays, the price is as low as 600 yen. There is also information on cheap parking in the parking lot right in front of the arena parking lot. I will investigate and report back soon.

(Translated by Google) In general, if you go on Sunday, don't forget to make reservations now! ! ! You can just go there on weekdays. Overall it's a long way to go -1. Everything else is good. (On weekdays) Personally, I would like it to be a little more icy (I've said it many times) I feel like the price is high, but the equipment is new, the Zambo is new, and the ice making is clean, so I think it's worth it. But it's far away. It's very far. Isn't it okay for people who are close to the waterfront skating rink to go there? To the sacred place of medalists...I tried to find where it was on the colored paper, but I couldn't see it at first glance. Well, I'm sure it's there somewhere. Apparently it's okay to do jumps, spins, and elements. Admission fee (sliding fee): 1,800 yen for adults. In Kansai, it seems to be the second most expensive after Kyoto Aqua Arena. (Although Kyoto is more expensive) Rental shoes: 500 yen Ice:★★★★ Soft (soft enough for speed skating) I've heard rumors that it's easy to jump, and it's true that you can catch a lot of edges, but personally, I might like something a little harder. It's a little softer than Amagasaki Sports Forest, and the hardness is between Nishinomiya and Poai. It's so soft that if you put a lot of pressure on it, it will break right away. The ice is made smooth right up to the very edge of the skating rink, and the ice is well maintained. It's so smooth all the way to the edge! (praising) Ice making: ★★★★★ Zambo is the best one. perhaps. One of Zambo's characters was Teku Nishan. I sprinkled hot water on it properly and the ice dried quickly. It seems that the regulars also make ice cream, and before making ice, I was working on filling in holes in jump and spin links. Link: Main link only. It seemed like they were building a curling rink in secret, but entry was prohibited. Even at the main rink, the handrails are low (compared to other rinks), and since it is not used for hockey, there is no transparent plate on the upper guard, so you can use the handrails whenever you want. There is a drawing of a hockey court, but sometimes the pattern (like the goal) is missing lol. Music: A lot of anime songs from a while back (1-2 years). But I'm getting excited. Good. Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer, Higashi Ribe, Yonezu, etc. Rental shoes: ★★★★★ (Personally my favorite one compared to other links) *It's not one of my shoes, but it means my favorite type of shoe that I used to wear. It was posted on X a long time ago, but if you inquire, you can also rent shoes for beginners and classes. I don't mind teasing you because I have one. I don't know if there is an additional charge. Yes, it seems they are increasing their stock of shoes. You did it! Mainly 2-blade/figure skating shoes, a little bit of hockey shoes. Speed's shoes were in an off-limits area, but the players might use them during practice. Speed is not available for rent. Facilities/cleanliness: ★★★★★ (゚д゚) As expected, it's still pretty new. I feel like the pictogram is a bit wrong lol Toilets ♀: 2 outside, 4 in the rink. Less? ? Is that okay? Lockers/shoe lockers: Free. You can also close it by inserting a coin. Rental lockers: Yes Helmet, elbow pads, knee pads: Free rental Sledding: 30 minutes 500 yen Dining room: Not open on weekdays. I don't know if it's open on Sundays or holidays. There are several tables. There are also counter seats. Wi-Fi: Yes. You can receive it from the counter seat. Rampage people: No (because it's a weekday?). It seems like the regulars and probably the person in charge are taking good care of it. I got the impression that there weren't any hockey people who were going to cut it. Parking lot: 400 yen on weekdays, 600 yen on weekends and holidays/24 hours I can see the sea from the window and it feels good. This link is also used for training camps for players. It looked like I could take lessons on jumping, fishing rods, etc.

Nestled within the vibrant Rinku Pleasure Town Seacle, Sumo Restaurant Ochiizumibeya offers a unique dining experience that goes beyond just savoring delicious food. Owned by the legendary former sumo champion Konishiki, this restaurant serves up chanko-nabe, a traditional stew beloved by sumo wrestlers.
I had the chance to attend a sumo show, and it was such a memorable experience! The wrestlers were entertaining and engaging, making the performance feel fun from start to finish. Even though we arrived a bit late, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us, which I really appreciated. The traditional kimono attire added an cultural touch, making the whole show feel even more special. Overall, a unique and entertaining experience that I would definitely recommend!
Anoly B — Google review
This was a fantastic experience! They took the time to explain the rules before it matches started and even showed us how it works. Plenty of chances to interact with the wrestlers and get photos. They are such friendly people and put on a great show! Would definitely return :)

Fun experience and performance. Expect an amazing show! It’s more of a performance mix with comedy than an actual sumo wrestling match. But still highly recommended.

Easy to reserve online. Arrived about 10 minutes to the given start time and was shown in. We had some time to order food and learn about the history of sumo prior to the start of the show. Free haori was given to wear during the event. The people who helped us were very friendly and it was all very education and fun. The wrestlers were entertaining and very funny during their demonstrations. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and would honestly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy sumo and do a day trip down in Rinku town.

Sumo Restaurant Ochiizumibeya Such a unique dining experience! The restaurant is filled with a traditional sumo atmosphere—from the décor and memorabilia to the lively, welcoming vibe. It really feels like stepping into a piece of Japanese culture. The staff are friendly and happy to explain the dishes and the sumo history behind the place. The food was hearty and delicious, especially the rich chanko nabe hot pot that sumo wrestlers famously enjoy. If you want to combine an authentic meal with a taste of Japan’s sumo heritage, this is a must-visit spot in Osaka!

Izakaya restaurant
Upon arrival at Star Gate Hotel, I had the opportunity to dine at "MARU" Kansai airport Rinku shop, an izakaya restaurant in Japan. This establishment offers a pleasant ambiance with spacious tables and comfortable seating. The ordering process is convenient as it is done through tableside iPads, ensuring quick delivery of delicious food.

We dined at here upon arriving for a one-night stay at Star Gate Hotel, finding that all the hotel restaurants close at 8:00p. Although very busy at 9:00p, we were seated quickly, and the tables are large and seating comfortable. Ordering is done through the tableside iPad, and all food was delivered quickly. Waiters were very attentive to the bell, and made an effort to accommodate 2 picky children not ready to dive into true Japanese cuisine. One caveat for foreigners... beware the smokers! Cigarette smoking is still allowed in many restaurants in Japan, and here more than other places we ate (perhaps due to the late hour), folks at neighboring tables were smoking like chimneys, which is of course very unpleasant to non-smoking diners.
Adam M — Google review
Very bad service. The Japanese staff told our Japanese colleague do you understand Japanese and wanted to fight with her as we took about 5 to 10mins to finish our last drink as they were about to close. They also had a misunderstanding on the charges for our table and wanted to overchange us. First time experiencing a rude Japanese service. Please get the manager to reply my complaint.

My friend and I went to this restaurant today. When we asked for dessert after our time was up, it took about 20 minutes. It could be because the restaurant was busy. But when I asked the Japanese girl who worked there about the delay, she was rude. Only one person there was very polite to customers. When we went to the counter to pay, the Japanese boy there was very rude to us. Why are we treated differently? Is this restaurant only polite to Japanese people???

Had this soup with rice and salmon fish on top. Soothing and very comforting. It had an egg inside, loads of big shitake mushrooms cut into strips. Served with a side of pickled radish. Perfect meal for anytime of the day. If you are feeling sick, tummy upset or having a cold, this this could fix it. Total with tax came up to 821 Japanese Yen. Their menu is big and versatile. Large menu, kind staff, reasonable prices, and they're open 24 hours. What's not to like for this price range? - The hamburger was tender, and the crab cream croquette was crispy. I regret not ordering a side of rice 🍚. It would have completed the meal.

Hine Jinja, located next to Hinenos Hine-jinja Shrine, is a serene and spacious park in Izumisano City. The park features the picturesque Roji Gully, carved by the Kashiigawa River flowing through the city. During spring, approximately 600 Yoshino Cherry sakura trees bloom, creating a stunning sight and making it one of the most popular cherry blossom viewing spots in Izumisano.
Oldest shrine in Izumisano. Founded mid 7th Century. Spring is especially beautiful. When you are at the entrance stay to the right side of the shrine, (don't enter) outside the fence, and walk through a tiny park down the path over a foot bridge to a lovely hanami cherry viewing spot. Avoid weekends and bring a snack. Plenty of benches.

Visitors have the option to access Oiseki Park through the shrine grounds, which gives a sense of taking a less-traveled path. Alternatively, they can enter from another person, depending on their preference. The park is not particularly expansive in size, and during summer months, there tends to be a notable presence of insects. It would be wise for visitors to come prepared with insect repellent to ward off these pests.

Nestled in the charming Izumisano City, Jigen-in is a hidden gem that deserves your attention. This ancient temple, established in 673 during the Hakuho period, boasts a rich history and an inviting atmosphere. As you explore its serene grounds, you'll encounter the stunning Tahoto pagoda—a national treasure and one of Japan's three renowned Tahoto structures—alongside the Kondo Hall, recognized as an important cultural property.

Press the intercom that is attached to a house, hand over the 200 yen admission fee to the chief priest, and follow him to a backyard-like area. There were no visitors. If you imagine a temple like Kyoto and Nara, it will be completely different. It is not possible to go close to the Tahoto pagoda, so you can only view it from a little distance. You can't even turn around. It was a shame that we couldn't think of a better way to show off this national treasure. Free parking is available north of the main hall, west of the bus route. Same-day reservations may be accepted via the intercom in the temple kitchen on the left as you face the main hall (depending on the chief priest's availability). Cash-only admission is 300 yen. The doors are open January 1-3 (the Golden Hall and Tahoto Pagoda, although the Heian-period Dainichi Nyorai statue is visible through a lattice door just inside), and likely the first and second Saturdays and Sundays of April (check the website the month before; only the pagoda is open. The inner lattice door has been removed for easier viewing). Seasonal flowers bloom endlessly. The large Ubazakura cherry tree also blooms in early April. The Golden Hall (13th century, Kamakura period, Important Cultural Property), Tahoto Pagoda (National Treasure), 13th century, Kamakura period, 3 bays, 2 stories, over 10 meters tall. The grounds are designated a National Historic Site as part of the Heian-period "Hinesho Ruins." The pagoda, while smallest in scale, is rare and remains intact from the early Kamakura period. Its unparalleled elegance and refinement make it one of Japan's three most famous pagodas, along with those at Ishiyama-dera Temple and Kongo Sammai-in Temple on Mount Koya. Currently, it is one of only six pagodas designated as national treasures in Japan. A statue of Dainichi Nyorai (Vairocana Buddha) is enshrined within the pagoda. A temple of the Omuro school of Shingon Buddhism, it is believed to have played an important role in the management of the Kujo family's Hineno Manor estate. Some say it may be the successor to Muhenko-in, depicted in the "Hinenomura Wilderness Development Map." In 1665, the head priest of Ninna-ji Temple bestowed the posthumous title of "Jigen-in" upon Kujo Masamoto. The head priest showed us around, and we paid 500 yen for a handwritten red seal on a colored picture. The head priest's mother, who answered the intercom, is also an Urasenke teacher and is a very kind and elegant person. Train station
Hineno Station is a small JR station that serves as a transfer point for travelers heading to Kansai Airport or Wakayama. When boarding the train, it's important to note that cars 1 to 4 are bound for the airport, while cars 5 to 8 head towards Wakayama. The station also offers connections to other destinations such as Kii Tanabe.
It's Hineno Station. Trains 1 to 4 will go to the airport, and cars 5 to 8 will go to Wakayama, so be careful that the train will be separated when you go to the airport. The tower you see in the picture is the Pachinko Tower.

While traveling from Tennoji to Kansai International Airport, I encountered an unexpected detour that turned into quite a story. I had originally planned to take the Haruka limited express at a certain time, but at the ticket counter I noticed there was a train departing 15 minutes earlier. Wanting to save some time, I quickly purchased a seat on that earlier train. The ticket and platform signage indicated it was a "limited express," and since the name "Haruka" was not specifically displayed, I felt a bit uncertain. Still, I boarded the train, which was labeled “Kuroshio,” and took my seat. I assumed it was simply another name for the same route. However, after passing Hineno Station—a major branching point—I realized something was wrong. To my surprise, the train did not head toward the airport. Instead, it continued south toward Wakayama. It was only then that I understood the earlier train I had purchased required a transfer at Hineno, whereas my original plan had involved a direct Haruka service all the way to the airport. It was a small but costly mistake. I ended up riding all the way to Wakayama Station and had to backtrack to Hineno before finally reaching Kansai Airport. I had misread the train classification; both “Haruka” and “Kuroshio” are limited express services, but only Haruka runs directly to the airport. Though it caused some stress at the time, the experience was a good reminder to double-check train routes, even for similarly labeled express services. In the end, I arrived safely, albeit with a bit more scenic detour than planned. It would have been helpful if an announcement had been made at Hineno Station, saying something like: "Passengers going to Kansai Airport, please transfer here. This train continues to Wakayama." Had I heard such a notice, I would have realized my mistake in time and avoided the detour. Instead, I stayed on the train, thinking it was still bound for the airport, and only discovered the error after it was too late.

The airport trains branch away here like wings. Hineno feels like motion’s resting place — the hum of engines, the scent of jet fuel and pine. Tourist Tip: Key transfer to Kansai Airport Line. Visit Rinku Premium Outlets nearby or stay overnight before early flights. Convenience meets countryside calm.

I first passed through Hineno Station during my Osaka trip, and it immediately struck me as a calm yet well-connected hub. Located in Izumisano City, this station serves as a convenient gateway for travelers heading toward Kansai International Airport via the JR Hanwa Line and Kansai Airport Line. What I really liked about Hineno Station is its balance between function and atmosphere. It’s not overly crowded like major Osaka stations, yet it has everything you need—ticket machines, convenience stores, and clear signage in both Japanese and English. The platforms are clean and spacious, and transfers between lines are smooth and efficient. Outside the station, you’ll find a small but charming neighborhood with local restaurants, cafés, and shops that give off a laid-back suburban vibe. It’s a nice place to take a short walk or grab a meal before heading to the airport or back to central Osaka.

Nestled in the serene landscape, Inunakiyama Onsen Center Annex offers a unique experience for those seeking a traditional hot spring retreat. While the facilities may show their age, this charming spot is run by an elderly woman who provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the delightfully slippery and soothing waters that leave your skin feeling silky smooth. Although amenities are limited—requiring visitors to bring their own toiletries—the inviting ambiance makes it worthwhile.

There are towels available for a fee, but there is nothing other than a hair dryer, so you will need to bring towels, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, milk, cream, and other skin care items. It is an old hot spring with old facilities. If I was going to spend 900 yen, I wish they would have provided amenities. (Translated by Google) The facility is old. Since it is run by an elderly woman alone, there are many aspects that cannot be attended to, but it is recommended for those who simply want to enjoy the hot springs. If you let us know in advance about cooking, you can ask for help, and there was another woman there. In my case, they cooked a hearty meal for me, and I also received a souvenir of bamboo shoots. I've used it about 10 times now, depending on my luck. (Translated by Google) The water quality is okay. The annex is closed. The hot spring is in the main building. Things to be careful about. First of all, when it comes to bathing, the facilities are old, there's only one bathtub, and the shelves in the changing room are covered in rust and so dirty that you don't even dare put your clothes in a basket. However, it's fine if you have the place to yourself and just want to enjoy the hot springs. The worst part is the food! My family of three went to the proprietress and asked for a wild boar hotpot set meal, but she said this duck hotpot set meal and this kamameshi set meal were also good. When we said we wanted wild boar hotpot, she said, "No, we can only make one!" (lol) So we had no choice but to order different set meals for each of us and wait a while. It was an ordinary set meal. The rice was bright yellow and so old and sticky that I wondered when it was cooked. The salad was also soggy and inedible. We got three or four slices of wild boar. What's more, it seems like they're hiding and watching you eat, and if you make even the slightest noise they'll come running over asking if something's wrong! If you like the Showa era atmosphere and shabby atmosphere, this is the place for you. You should definitely avoid eating there. It's far from being worth the over 2,000 yen just for a bath and a meal.

(It seems to be a popular restaurant as there were about 3 groups waiting when we left.) Of the 4 okonomiyaki (there were 4 of us visiting), 2 were grilled on the iron plate right in front of us. The staff at the restaurant did all the work, including putting the ingredients on top and flipping it over, so we could just watch the delicious okonomiyaki being made. He confirmed whether we needed (more or less) each of the sauces to put on top, bonito flakes, green seaweed, mustard, and mayonnaise. The radish salad and miso soup that came with the set were also delicious. When I told them that I was running out of time and wanted to take the leftovers home, they kindly gave me a pack. The smiles and customer service from the staff were wonderful. The parking lot is not large, but it is located on the same site and next door across the fence. Shrine
It appears that Nakami Shrine, believed to have been constructed during the early Heian period, was initially known as "Omiya Shrine". Located in a central area, this shrine underwent a name change to Nakami Shrine by combining the characters "ka" from "Ka" and "mi" from "Minato", signifying its proximity to the sea. Recently, efforts have been made to cultivate wisteria around the shrine, reflecting its emblem of this flower.

(Translated by Google) This is my first time visiting😊 On June 29th, I thought the hydrangeas would be out of bloom, but there were still many beautiful flowers😍 Also, the Kawachi wind chimes were ringing and sparkling above the hydrangeas😊 By the way, these Kawachi wind chimes are made by a workshop in Katano City, Osaka😊 They are made from recycled bottles that are no longer in use😊 Looking more closely, they have polka dot patterns and are pretty cute😍 I want one😊 I'll look it up later💻✨ I asked the chief priest if it must be hard to water so many flowers, and he said that it takes an hour and a half to water them these days. And the water bill is quite high💦, so it's hard. That's why, starting this year, they've been getting water from the neighbors' fields and rice paddies. (Sorry if I'm wrong🙇‍♂️) After all, if you want to keep it in good condition, it takes time and money... It's just a small gesture of support, but I also got a hydrangea goshuin😊 The pattern seems to change every year. By the way, the goshuin also changes depending on the seasonal flowers😊 The chief priest said, "Please come and see the wisteria around April 20th~😊It's said to be very beautiful. When I met the chief priest, he was wearing a T-shirt and a jersey, and in both hands he was carrying a machine to blow away dead leaves. He showed up with tools for taking care of the flowers😊 From the moment I met him, his good personality was apparent, and he was a very gentle and pleasant person😊 I would like to visit again next year😊 I'm going to stick the hydrangea goshuin on my desk at work and look at it every day💓 (Original)

The main deities enshrined here are Hondawake no Mikoto and Ikunagahime no Mikoto. Empress Jingu is also enshrined here, so it's said to be beneficial for safe childbirth. The "Nakami Shrine Sacred Suzu Joju Nasu," inspired by the water eggplant, a specialty of Senshu, is named after the eggplant, which is known for its fruitfulness. It's said that eggplants, as well as the gods of success, are said to bring blessings for academic achievement, career success, and even love. I was impressed by the chief priest's love of flowers. As written in the flower offering, he grows and enjoys them. He especially cultivated various wisteria species. While Fukushima Ward is a popular tourist spot, this place also becomes a popular attraction in May. (Translated by Google) I visited around 8:30 in the morning. Parking is available and can be accessed from the back through the grounds. When I visited, the main shrine next to the shrine office on the left was closed, but by the time I returned, the door was open. Electricity was also on. It seems that there is no goshuin stamp. The main shrine in the center is Kasuga Taisha Shrine, and diagonally in front of it is a kumquat tree with lots of fruit. (Translated by Google) October 11, 2025 About a 10-minute walk from Nankai Izumisano Station through the shopping district, you'll find this ancient shrine, said to have originated during the Hoki era (770-780) when Sakanoue no Tamuramaro enshrined it from Kasuga Taisha Shrine on Mikasayama in Nara. Established by Sakanoue Shokencho in 1376, but destroyed by fire during war, it was rebuilt in the Meiji era by locals who combined 29 shrines from Sano Town, and remains standing to this day. The main hall is a beautiful mid-Edo period Kasuga-style building with karahafu roofs. Blessings include prosperous business and safe fishing, as well as healing from illness and protection from misfortune. The Akatenuki Inari Shrine, visible within the shrine grounds, is said to be effective in treating headaches. There are also lanterns and lion-dog statues donated by the wealthy Edo period merchant families, the Shono and Karakane families. The summer festival in July includes a Taiko float parade, which is said to be a very lively and exciting event.

Nice and beautiful little temple. You can experience a fire ritual which was very interesting and pretty emotional. The monk who did it was very kind and told me a lot about the culture and history :) Totally recommend it!

Ate here as a tourist after having some time to waste before te airport. I had a quite expensive meal of around 6k Yen because I went for Sea Eel, Sea Urchid, and Toro Tuna with some hot sake. Nevertheless the meal was really good and the Sea urchid was creamy and the toro melted like butter on the tongue. Very good experience.

Had a try here since I was around the fish market, would say was a little disappointed with the thinness of the maguro don and we had ordered the mixed don as well with the uni. Though freshness was there I don’t think it was really quite worth the price. So for that I wouldn’t be back unfortunately.

Food price is reasonable, but still have room to improve, may be I have higher expectation on sea eel.

If you're on the hunt for a vibrant dining experience, look no further than 四川料理 蘭梅. This lively Chinese restaurant offers an energetic atmosphere that sets it apart from quieter spots like Japanese eateries. The sounds of chatter and chefs calling out orders create a unique ambiance that enhances your meal. Guests rave about the delicious gyoza, claiming it's among the best they've had in Japan!
(Translated by Google) Exquisite Chinese food in Izumisano! I went at 11am and got in without lining up. Whenever I pass by around 12:00, it's always full of cars. There is a parking lot and you can use PayPay. At one time, there are 3 tables for 4 people and 2 round tables, and if you come alone, you can share the round table. There seemed to be a banquet hall for groups on the second floor. We ordered the daily lunch special and the most popular mapo tofu set meal. The daily specials that day were fried rice and fried noodles. The yakisoba had chili pepper in it and was spicy and delicious. Mapo tofu has three levels of spiciness to choose from, and I chose spiciness level 3 (authentic spiciness). The rice was so spicy that it was very delicious. It also came with small side dishes such as fried chicken, salad, and pickled radish, which made me feel satisfied. Both set meals came with homemade almond tofu, which had just the right amount of sweetness similar to milk pudding. There was also a free cup of coffee at lunchtime. There were also course meals starting from 3000 yen. There are many dishes on the menu, so I would like to order other dishes next time!

All around a great lunch find. If I was in the mood for Chinese and was in the area I would go here again. The restaurant has a lively and busy atmosphere. Between the people talking and the chefs and waiters yelling orders back and forth, it makes it a great place to go and enjoy a nice meal away from the normal silence if Japanese restaurants. The gyoza was amazing. It was my best portion if gyoza I have eaten in Japan. There is no English menu so make sure you have google translate ready.

The medium spicy version was quite spicy. It seemed like they used a lot of spices and it was delicious. I think this restaurant is famous for mapo tofu? ? The shrimp chili had a strong vinegar flavor! There are so many items on the menu, it's hard to decide. I ordered an extra thin mochi, and it was really filling! It came with white sugar! lol The staff was Chinese. It might be good for those who want an authentic atmosphere and taste◎ (Original)

(Translated by Google) I ordered the Mapo Tofu set meal as it was the most popular. White rice could be changed to fried rice for an additional 300 yen. You can also choose the spiciness of your mapo tofu, and choose the authentic Sichuan spiciness. The set meal included mapo tofu, fried rice, 1 piece of fried chicken, salad, soup, pickles, and almond tofu for 1,400 yen. Is the quantity of Mapo Tofu a little small? When I thought about it, it was served in a fairly deep plate, and it stayed piping hot until the end without getting cold. The taste was spicy and delicious. However, the fried rice here was surprisingly fluffy and had good seasoning, so I liked it better. My wife, who went with me, ordered some seafood koage and got a small portion, but it had a gentle flavor and was delicious. Take out shrimp chili as a souvenir. It didn't look like the red bean paste that I'm familiar with, but it was black and had a lot of spice. It was surprisingly delicious when I stir-fried it with king king mushrooms and reheated it... This is the next dish I want to try at the store. Thank you for the meal.

I think it's safer to make a reservation. This time, I ordered the course. For 5,500 yen, you can get teppi, tessa, fried chicken, skin or chawanmushi, tecchiri, vegetables, and rice porridge. Ponzu sauce is a little spicy. Add the gara first, then the vegetables. Delicious After all, blowfish is delicious. The blowfish's flesh was also twitching, as if it had just been removed from the tank. By the time you eat rice porridge, you'll be full from the volume! Can you eat all of this? It was a volume like that. It seems that you can order the course for just one person, so it might be a good idea to order one and enjoy the individual items. I think it's worth it♪ ■If you found it useful, please help us by clicking ``like''♪ It's encouraging♪ (Original)
