Outdoor Activities
Amed Beach is a serene destination with its distinctive black volcanic sand and stunning views. It is surrounded by charming restaurants and cafes, offering a perfect setting for relaxation. The beach is located about 9 km from the Amed tourist attraction, nestled amidst picturesque villages and hills. Visitors can witness breathtaking sunrises over Mount Rinjani and enjoy the natural beauty of the hill valley at Lahangan Sweet Karangasem.
Absolutely the best place for snorkeling and scuba diving. The water is clear and you are surrounded by gorgeous choral and thousands of fish! This laid back town in Bali is a must visit!
Deborah S — Google review
Cool and clearish water. Waves are calm but pick up quickly in a storm. There are loads of boats parked on the sand so you have to manoeuvre around them which can be very annoying, especially in the high tide. Absolutely stunning views of Mt Agung during clear sky’s, and there are lots of great local warungs along the beach
Ryan — Google review
Not much beach during high tide and it's a little shameful that the people litter so much but a great area for diving and snorkeling.
Ss — Google review
We're in a new place - on the east coast of Bali, in Amed. Amed is quiet, almost deserted, and perfect for escaping the noise. Among tourists, we've met only a few couples and families. It's a very charming place - I fell in love with it right away. But staying here turned out to be quite challenging: everyone seems to know everything about everyone, and every step attracts attention. Since almost nothing happens here, people seem to entertain themselves this way. There are endless questions - from everyone, everywhere. Even the villa check-in form asked: Where are you from? Where are you going next? Amed is small, observant, curious — but still, it has its own warmth and quiet truth. #Amed

The beach is not easy to access and there is a lot of rocks… No body is going in the sea…However there are one or two restaurants where you can seat on the beach or lay down in transats
Alexane B — Google review
Not too shabby, plenty of nice coral and life to see, especially around the sunset point cliff area. Gets very deep quickly, but plenty to see in the shallows, explore the black sandy area, especially at night for cryptic critters. Dolphins also come through. Lots of rubbish.. sigh
Elliot P — Google review
It's supposed to be a new hotel. Mould in the bathroom. Hot water ran out after 40 seconds. The staff have no experience and unable to assit in anything else than what the hotel.offers. they tried to charge us for breakfasts when it was included in price. We paid for a family room, 2 adults, and 2 children. and there was inly a gueen bed and a sofa. The toilet leaked so the bathroom floor was always wet and slippery. Tiny breakfast. Upper floors around pool and restaurant. Empty bottles and dishes laid around. And never picked until the next morning. We always had to ask for service as the staff just had in the kitchen. We will never return.
Trevor W — Google review
The beach is full of plastic and rubbish. When you snorkel, there is plastic everywhere. The local fishermen put plastic water cups, plastic bags and all their left over string Into the sea. They even do a daily Puja (Hindu prayer) for each of the thousands of boats where they put an offering IN A PLASTIC BAG!!!) into the sea. And the fishermen rely on the tourists for fishing and snorkeling trips?!!! And the whole local community relies on the tourist industry! Crazy! And yet they fill the sea with plastic! Are these people ignorant or stupid? The only areas of the beach that are not filled with plastic are the stretches where there are expensive resorts and no local fishing boats! I will not come back to Amad, again.

Seraya Secrets is a true hidden treasure for diving enthusiasts, offering an exclusive and intimate underwater experience away from the usual tourist trails. Nestled near Tulamben, this remarkable dive site is celebrated for its incredible muck diving opportunities, where divers can explore sandy bottoms teeming with fascinating macro life. The allure of Seraya Secrets lies in its diverse marine critters, making it a haven for underwater photographers eager to capture unique species like the mimic octopus and ghost pipefish.
Great dive site for muck diving! There’s also many interesting man made structures at the site which are full of life. We found a few ornate ghost pipefish, a huge leopard moray, a group of catfish, and many macro creatures. There’s a small spot to rinse gear, a toilet and a place to buy snacks in between dives. This site was always much quieter when we visited compared to the other sites and we often had it to ourselves.
Caity G — Google review
We found pygmy seahorses on a deep dive, as well as incredible nudibranch biodiversity. All shore diving, highly recommend 👌 The water was 83 degrees F.

Great dive site with fun macro. Easily accessible, but can get quite busy.

Drop-off

4.6
(39)
Scenic spot
Nestled in the serene northeast village of Tulamben, the Drop-off is a breathtaking dive site that beckons both novice and seasoned divers alike. This remarkable underwater wall begins at just 3 meters deep and plunges dramatically to over 70 meters, offering an exhilarating experience for those ready to explore its depths.
The Drop Off…. So many ways to dive this side. It starts right at the beach 🏝️where you have Scuba Divers 🤿 and Freedivers 🆓 waddling 🚶‍♀️🚶🚶‍♂️into the water. The wall starts off shallow at 5m and as you head toward the right ➡️ hand side (heading to Pura Tegeh), it drops down 📉 to 100m. It was claimed that at the deep blue, they have seen 👀 Whale sharks, Mola Mola. Not daily but over the years 📆 those seem to be the highlight. 😎 Marine 🪸🪼 🐬life is thriving here. The corals are healthy, growing and teaming with marine life. A few “senior” Lionfish and Pufferfish 🐡are constantly being spotted. On a good visibility dive, if you descend to 25m and look up, you will be rewarded with a wall with lots of colours, sea fans and beautiful soft corals 🪸. Cuttlefish 🦑, Corals, Grouper 🐟, Nudibranch and I even spotted a Mantis Shrimp 🦐! It’s a great 2nd dive after diving the Liberty Wreck or after diving at Coral Garden dive sites. On the beach 🏝️, you can get a hot ♨️cup of coffee ☕️, Maggi Mee 🍜 and some simple snacks 🍬🍫🍢from a local beach store, so bring some money 💵 like Rp$20,000. You can also shower 🚿and use the toilet 🚻.
Ivan P — Google review
A very nice dive that's worth a visit if you are a diver. It looks disappointing from outside but once you dive you will be surprised. At least I was. Not the best dive in the world but a good one
Jacques M — Google review
Beautiful dive spot. We can access to drop off, Emerald and "Palung" start from this beach. Clean and clear water. I love to dive here. If you want to explore the drop off, you can entry and finish with shore dive from the beach. When you go to Emerald spot, you must use boat "Jukung" to reach the spot. Entry and exit from boat. Which is interesting when explore the "Palung", you can entry from boat and then exit on the beach. You must manage your gass to reach the beach if you start from boat.
Gatot S — Google review
Always went here for wreck diving, one of the most beautiful wreck dive in indonesia, entry is very easy and convinience from the rocky beach. Wreck distance is not far from the beach. Always luv to visit here
Hendro H — Google review
I was expecting more of a vertical drop off but actually it’s more of a slope. Having said that it’s full of coral and fish making it a fantastic dive site! It’s just an out and back dive so you can’t really get lost as long as you follow the reef. There is plenty to see at any depth which makes it great for all levels of diving experience and currents were very minimal so you can really take your time to explore the site at your own pace
Caity G — Google review
Nice dive spot, nothing super fancy or rare.

Scenic spot
Coral Garden is a popular dive site in Tulamben, known for its shallow waters and vibrant marine life. It's a haven for macro enthusiasts, offering plenty of opportunities to spot fish hiding among the corals and take stunning photos. The area features underwater statues and other interesting items placed by locals, adding an element of fun to the experience.
Awesome divespot even for divers that are not totally into macro stuff!

Definitely worth snorkelling if your in the area. The water was nice and calm and it was easy to access from the shore. We weren’t wowed by the spot, but I think this is because we snorkelled the USAT Liberty shipwreck (on the same beach) just before. The shipwreck blew us away, it is a must do! We saw so much life and a huge turtle. Do the shipwreck then have a snorkel here too. I don’t think the coral is as good as other places in the area: Selang Beach and Jemeluk Beach.
Aneka T — Google review
Snorkeled for five days in Tulamben in 2013. Lots of colorful coral and variety of sea life (shark, ray, bumphead, moray, mantis, etc.). Every day new exciting sights. Returned for one day in 2023. Little coral. Little color. Few fish. Nothing exciting. So disappointed. Will not return to snorkel in Tulamben.
Blair K — Google review
Nice dive site. Some small spots have good soft corals, fish school, and shark.
Ilman I — Google review
An easy dive site, great for all experience levels and there is so much to see here! The statues near the start of the dive are a fun addition. We saw ribbon eels, frog fish, nudis, leaf scorpion fish and plenty of other marine life! For night diving, the wreck is definitely better from our experience but there are still some creatures to see here at night
Caity G — Google review
Not a lot to see diving but still worth it. A few really interesting spots. It's so close to the shipwreck you may as well stop here also. Although I recommend doing the shipwreck dive twice!!!!
Melanie T — Google review
Of the four dives I did in Tulamben, this was the only one I really didn't care for. Just some sunken statues, not a ton of sea life. I wish I would have dived the wreck twice instead of this. Came up after 40 minutes out of boredom.

Tulamben Beach Viewpoint

4.5
(194)
Beach
Tulamben Beach Viewpoint in East Bali offers a diverse range of attractions, from the ancient traditions of Tenganan Village to the underwater wonders of the USAT Liberty shipwreck. The ship sank during World War II and now rests 30m below the surface, attracting experienced divers and snorkelers alike. While only advanced divers can explore its full depth, beginners can still enjoy the vibrant marine life around the upper part of the wreck.
Survival Guide: PARKING: apparently is 20k, but nobody asked me. So maybe you'll be lucky too. Either way, it's worth it. SNORKELING GUIDE: you WILL be approached by people who want to be your guide. Tell them "no". It can happen they won't listen. Tell them you have a diving course already. DIVING GUIDE: You don't have to pre book because you'll find plenty here. But since you're reading this, apparently you're the gal or guy who's into preparing themselves. So, best, get a reputable teacher on google maps. ENTER THE WATER ON YOUR OWN: there's no need for a guide. Guides will lie to you and say you can't go snorkeling alone. You absolutely can. And if you're a decent swimmer, nothing is stopping you. LOCATION OF THE SHIP: it's 120 meters long, and it's 25-50 meters outside of the shoreline. It's aligned to the shore line, so you cannot miss it. The pin on google map is accurate. Just go exploring and have fun. TIDE: it's easier to enter the water at high tide. There are many rocks. But any tide should be fine. I was there at high tide which was good. Download the app nautide, it's free and gives you the information you need. TIME OF THE DAY: if you want to have the ship for your own, go before 9. Other than that, any time is fine. I liked the other divers and snorklers as orientation. FINS: Yes, you'll be better off with fins. The current can be strong and the rocks can be annoying. But they are not sharp. Still. Fins are heavily recommend. You should be able to rent them there. SHOPS: the warung there has increased prices. A coke is 20k. Still affordable, but more expensive then other warungs. Consider liking this guide for visibility.

Great for diving. Liberty shipwreck is just a few meters to your left. Difficult to get in-and out of the water because of the big rocks, but a fabulous dive-site once u get there. Not a beach for sunbathing, there's no nice white sand area.
N Z — Google review
Very nice beach for snorkeling and dive. 🤿 you can find variety of things under water from different corals, fishes, … The dive will be shore diving something different I experienced.
Amy A — Google review
The beach is rocky, make sure you wear snorkeling shoes to start your water activities. The underwater is ok, coral garden wasn’t much coral, shipwreck is the most visited spot by the divers. Anyway it’s a good place for you to take or upgrade diving license here since they offer the affordable one.
Fun T — Google review
Had my introductory diving experience here. It was amazing to see the shipwreck, garden eels, the various, colorful fishes and even one blue spotted ribbontail stingray.

Bali has several diving spots that attract both amateur and professional alike to venture. But the ones that located in bali's most west side of the island, Menjangan Island and the other one that in the east part are most popular and famous. Luckily both mentined diving spots are far from industrialized areas or any motored fishermen activities so the sea water on both areas are clean and clear allowing the sea lives and corals to grow well naturally without any disturbances, dirts and polution at all. The one in the east Bali, Tulamben, offers a new beach side, only 25 meters away from the sea sand to dive to sea the US Liberty ship wrecked 7 meters deep allowing you to witness the natural beautiful sea lives and corals on the place. Apart from taking tourists to dive several diving school are spread all over the island ready for teaching enthusiasts to learn on quick course of diving and graduate new born divers under the sea water. Interested? So next time you come to Bali do not hasitate to join in the quick course and start becoming a new first time licenced diver.
Hari — Google review
There's no sand beach in Tulamben. All volcanic rocks. The highlight of Tulamben is scuba diving activities, where you can find the Liberty wreck just a few meets swim away from the beach. The most easiest and relaxing dive with good disability, colorful corals with many tropical fishes.

If you are a female SOLO traveller, be careful with this guy. First, he will try to do small talk, then he will offer you free snorkling guide. If you reject, he will follow you… literally anywhere. Trying to go west, east, even in public place, he kept trying to get close. I was not the only victim. This has been happening many times, to other females. I found another 2 females got same approach by him. Be very careful, ladies. I suggest not to go there alone…

Boga Wreck

4.8
(26)
Boga Wreck, located just a short drive north of Tulamben, is a decommissioned coastguard supply ship purposely sunk in September 2012. Measuring about 50 meters in length, the wreck offers an interesting dive experience with marine life beginning to flock to the area. The site features a Volkswagen car, treasure chest, and a Buddha statue as part of its adornments.
Incredible dive site, the wreck is still intact at 20-40m depth. You can penetrate the wreck and inside you can see Balinese statues, an old car and many clay amphoras
ZERO B — Google review
Great wreck. Very impressive. Intact and some relics. Maybe it was a fishing trawler? Better dive site in my opinion than USAT Liberty. Not as much coral as Liberty as it is clearly newer. Do the dive to the East as well to view the man Made reefs. I really enjoy them.
Richard R — Google review
Got a ways to go in regards to marine life, but it's still interesting dive.

Jindřich S — Google review
Between 14 & 30 meters deep, this wreck is not the most exciting wreck dive, but it does provide habitat for some decent coral and fish life and has become a nice artificial reef. Since it lies only slightly offshore, it is quite easily accessible for divers. Please always be careful not to touch or disturb anything while diving! Look around the wreck and in the shallows for some cool nudis and critters as well.
Angela B — Google review
A nice artificial wreck. The corals and fishes in the wreck had not as many as USAT Liberty yet but the shape of the wreck itself was Instagramable. The water was very clear (visibility +/- 30 meters). The corals nearby was very beautiful.

Tauch Terminal Resort Tulamben

4.5

Resort hotel
Tauch Terminal Resort Tulamben & Spa offers relaxed accommodations with stunning ocean views, a dive center, spa, dining options, and a beachfront bar. The resort is located close to the Liberty Wreck for snorkeling or diving right from the accommodation. Guests can enjoy Balinese or western cuisine and refreshing cocktails at the bar. The resort's design reflects thoughtful details and amenities, creating a peaceful ambiance.
There's air conditioning, and the upstairs bedrooms have cute patios. The hotel has artificial reefs right out front, is within walking distance to the USAT Liberty wreck (both dive and snorkel), and a short drive to other beautiful reefs nearby. This hotel was a wonderful place to stay

We’ve just stayed 3 nights and would return again and again. This is our second stay as it is one our favourites in Bali. This time we were in the area for a wedding so in and out of the hotel over the 2 days. We didn’t do any snorkelling this time but can recommend the helpful service. I really love the rooms, the restaurant food(especially my nasi campur and tofu tempe salad), the staff are the friendliest and most helpful. They have a serious attitude to sustainability and shun single use plastic etc. Thanks to Wayan from reception for helping us tie our sarongs for the wedding. Special mention to Iloo in the Spa, Lulu in house keeping, Ari at reception and the restaurant and bar staff. Highly recommend this peaceful, under stated hotel in a beautiful location.
Lee-Anne W — Google review
Absolutely love this place. The rooms are nice and not far away from the restaurant, bar or pools. The service that they provide around the hotel is amazing as well as the room service. If you are a diver this is perfect as the diving sites are easy to go to and beautiful marine life.
Scuba B — Google review
The experience is absolutely worthwhile the price. Included-breadfast, service, room, amenities, seaview from window, included snorkeling equipments, secluded environment and very close to beach location are satisfying. But the only problem is that it's far away from airport as well as boat port like sanur and kusamba, so getting there the transportation cost must be taken into consideration in advance.
Qi C — Google review
I felt that the food I was served was unsafe to eat. Specifically, I had the Indonesian meatball soup and in one of the meatballs was some disgusting white goo. I stopped eating immediately and did not swallow that. Hopefully I don’t get sick. I informed the waitress and the manager, but neither cared and neither seemed surprised. I did not stay at the hotel, but ate only at the restaurant.

Excellent dive resort with good instructors, full dive shop, great rooms, pools, restaurant on the ocean. Excellent accommodating staff. Good value.
Keith N — Google review
Extremely friendly staff, most of them speak English. Going out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the drive guides are friendly and knowledgeable and the restaurant is good with a nine selection for reasonable prices. I recommend going here.
Ewald G — Google review
Well we came with mid-range expectations and were very pleasantly surprised. The staff at the resort were delightful and could not do enough to help us. My Mum has mobility issues and whilst we went off diving, the staff helped her so much and checked in on her to make sure she didn't need anything. We ate at the restaurant every day and really enjoyed the food. The diving was really fabulous. There is of course the wreck which was excellent diving but for the macro lovers there is a literal feast of nudibranches and small stuff to fossick around for. The dive guides were amazing finding some of the tiniest stuff like 3mm nudis amongst the sea grass. The dives were predominantly off the beach which honestly did have some challenges. People talked about the rocky beach being an issue and we are very experienced divers who also had some difficulties but the only real issue was that the rocks were not slippery, but instead were very ROUND and therefore moved around a bit as you stepped upon them. The Coral Garden dive directly at the front of the hotel was a good entry with a woven heavy duty net installed to walk on which saves what felt at times like walking on a pile of large rocky marbles. Some entries were easier than others but you don't need the fitness of an athlete or anything like that. The Dive Guides were very helpful and if you asked for some help they would support your entry and exit and it made things so much easier. Dive shop was well organised with tubs allocated to each diver which you can leave in a store room and very good rinsing & drying facilities. The dive guides are very happy to put your gear together if you are happy for them to do so, or leave you to your own setup if that is your preference. We also enjoyed a couple of boat dives in the small cataraman local boats which only take 3 people each. Was actually really cool and there were no long arduous trips or anything like that. We did a couple "car" dives where they drive you to other more distant local dive sites and we enjoyed that also. I would think the main thing is to chat with the dive staff about what sort of diving you are keen to do and they are really helpful to make that happen. They arrange the day's diving around where you might like to go and for the more distant trips usually you can jump in with others. Take the advice on the wreck dive, if you dive when the guys say it will be busy prepare yourself for crazy-full-on busy. We did a night dive on a busy night and it was nuts, sort of cool but I hardly needed my torch on it was lit up by around 40-50 divers. Most of the dives on the wreck are early (around 8am) to avoid the big crowds for the diving groups who travel to the site. On the subject of night dives, if you are open water certified and planning your very first night dive you need to chat with the staff - we heard there was a sort of unusual local policy on only allowing night dives for advanced or night dive specialty divers which upset one or two people and got me a bit of a long-winded lecture from a Divemaster trainee which mostly just confused me - my daughter had her first night dive there and loved it but we were told she could only dive because I am an instructor? We are all PADI certified which allows night dives in decent conditions without formal additional training but I think the facility is SSI and I am not sure of the hard and fast rules for them tbh. Just best to check before going to avoid disappointment if you are a night dive virgin and your plan is to make your first night dive with Tauch Terminal. We are very keen to go back again in future and would highly recommend Tauch Terminal for both groups or individuals. One of the german divers told us the name meant something like "Diving Base" which we thought was pretty cool and made a bit of sense of something we felt confused about - it definitely didn't sound Balinese to us in any case :-)

The Matahari Tulamben Resort is a beachfront property with an outdoor pool and a restaurant that offers ocean views. It also has a dive centre located on the beach. Some things guests may not like about the resort include the air conditioning in some of the units, which can get cold in winter, and that it is not as luxurious as some other resorts on Bali.
We only used their Dive Services, so we can't comment on the spa or accommodation. However the diving was very easy to organise, flexible, and cheap. The property backs onto the ocean, so you can hop straight into the water. No complaints!

Matahari Tulamben Resort & Dive is a fantastic place to stay and dive in Bali, especially if you're exploring the USAT Liberty or Boga Wreck. The services were amazing from start to finish — warm, professional, and attentive staff who genuinely care about your experience. The dive services are top-notch. Everything is well-organized, from gear setup to safety briefings. Whether you're doing the iconic shore dives at Liberty Wreck or heading out to explore the deeper Boga Wreck, the dive guides are knowledgeable, patient, and passionate. Both wrecks offer stunning marine life and are accessible right from the shore, making dives convenient yet unforgettable. The food at the resort is delicious — a good variety of local and western dishes served fresh and hot, perfect after a long dive. The people — from the dive crew to the restaurant staff — are incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and homey atmosphere. Whether you're here for diving or just to unwind, Matahari Tulamben offers an ideal balance of peaceful resort vibes, great food, and outstanding dive experiences. Overall Rating: 4.7/5 A must-visit for divers in Bali. Quality shore dives, friendly faces, and professional service all in one place.

I booked the package for 3D/2N that included airport transfer, meals and diving. I upgraded the room cause I didnt want to face the street and get traffic noise. The room is clean, big, well maintained with hot water. The food and drinks are the restaurant are all good and reasonably priced. I felt a bit scammed about the diving, and here is why. When I contacted them, the owner didnt tell me about the package, and instead tried to sell me everything separately. The owner also didnt tell me that the dives included in the package are only at the 4 sites around the resort. I wanted to go to other dive sites, but the staff at the reception told me I had to pay extra as solo diver although there were other people going to the same place. In other words, you come with your own group but cannot organize a group with others. Yet, the owner put in writing when I made the booking that I could follow a group.

Beautiful Island Resort & hotel in Indonesia close to Jakarta which is one of the Island in Serebu islands of Indonesia. This island offers peaceful, quite & breathtaking views of white & clean sand beaches where you can enjoy shared boat ride, snorkeling, also enjoy variety species of fishes, deep dive. The free & big breakfast is free & walking on the beaches in white sand is out of this world. Fantastic experience & a must visit place in Indonesia.

I completed my dive certification here and highly recommend this facility for both introductory dives and certification training. The accommodations were comfortable, the food excellent, and the staff exceptionally friendly. Our diving instructor, Anjas, provided professional and helpful instruction.

Matahari Tulamben Dive Resort Review The diving was by far the best part of my stay—affordable and well worth it, with easy access to great dive sites. The room was very basic: no TV, unreliable Wi-Fi, and right next to a loud road. There was a bug issue at the entrance, but the hot shower was a plus. Cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had beautiful sunrise views and good breakfast service, with nice coffee and juice options. Unfortunately, afternoon and evening service was inconsistent—my coffee order was once forgotten despite being the only guest. The evening staff didn’t feel as warm as in other places around Bali. For food outside the resort, I really enjoyed Mimpi, The Salty Dog, and Slice and Brew.

Don't try their SPA. It's a nightmare. Worst massage ever tried in Bali and the massage girl not even know what they are doing. Keep whispering to each others. Brutal massage and either pain or no feeling at all. And the senior also keeps pushing us to skip the item included in the package that promised earlier. She said no time. But if promised two hours for the package and no time to compare why not explain earlier before we confirm the package? Environment noisy with people walking around talking loudly coming back from diving(no music at all), smell gas leaking & insensé burning not able to cover it.

Lesehan Segara Tegeh is a seafood restaurant known for its delicious cuisine, particularly their grilled fish which is meant for multiple people. The owner of the restaurant is friendly and the view of Mount Agun adds to the overall ambiance. The food itself is exceptional, with fresh flavors that are both salty and smoky. Additionally, their vegetable dishes are cooked to perfection.
We stayed at the guest house. The room and bathroom look really good! Very nice pool and outdoor area. The price was very very good for the quality and amenities. The staff is super friendly and we will definitely be back. There is also a diving centre here, we booked with a different one but will be diving here next time, the staff from the diving school is friendly and equipment looks very good. We will definitely recommend this to friends!! Thank you for the great stay.

We went there for the food. It was quiet and there were no other customers there. Plenty of parking space outside the restaurant. The view is actually not bad, it is on the second floor and you can have a nice view at the top. Ordered the nasi campur and fried rice. But the serving time is too long despite the fact that we are the only customers there. So I wasn't sure how long we would have to wait if there were more customers there. The staff is friendly. Overall it is okay to try

This place is a lovely family run business. With only 5 villas in the property provides a secluded and great privacy experience. I also get a lot of attention and care from the staffs. Rooms are clean, spacious and very accessible for bugs. But I don't mind the bugs. It makes me feel like I'm close to nature. Stunning view with mount Agung at the restaurant, food is amazing. Gado gado is my personal favorite and the Wayans grilled fish is a must try. Very friendly bunch of operators and great place to stay and dive with.👍👍👍👍👍 I miss them already

Definitely go here for dinner - this was our best meal in Tulamben! They will pick you up if you don’t want to walk (road is dark and we had a baby with us so we were grateful!). Just text them. Great grilled fish (Ikan bakar), Balinese sauces, and wonderful people.

Lovely spacious room, very quiet and peaceful with a great view of the mountain from the restaurant. The included breakfast was tasty. And the pool was lovely the relax in. Some ants in the room but typical of every place we've stayed so far, harmless.

Segara Tegeh Bungalows 🛖deserve a much higher 📈 rating than this! We booked our diving 🤿 vacation with Bali Elite Scuba and they booked ✍️ this Bungalow for us. Their dive 🤿 shop is actually located inside the Bungalow vicinity. So we had 1️⃣0️⃣ divers and they only have 5 Bungalows, we “booked” the entire site LOL 🤪😎 It’s a perfect 👌 place to stay 🛌 and there several reasons 👀: 1.        5mins from several dive sites like Liberty Wreck and Drop Off. - ✅ 2.        Bungalow rooms are BIG and clean 🫧🧼! (See my pictures 📸 and videos 📹) So spacious. 🤩 - ✅ 3.        There is a dive shop (Bali Elite Scuba) right inside the Bungalow! - ✅ 4.        Swimming 🏊‍♀️ pool with depth for Discovery Scuba and Open Water Course. - ✅ 5.        Restaurant 🍽️ is level 2️⃣ with a beautiful view of the mountain ⛰️! - ✅ 6.        Fantastic cook food 🍗🐟🐷🥬 daily. - ✅ 7.        10mins walk 🚶‍♂️🚶🚶‍♀️to Slice & Brew Café ☕️ - ✅ 8.        3mins ⏱️ walk to Pura Tegeh Tulamben look out point 🌁 - ✅ 9.        Gated community, safe and quiet - ✅ 10.   Spa 🛀 💅 is right next door! They can come to your room if you come back late, they have a good relationship with the bungalow owner. So convenient! - ✅✅✅ 11.   They have vehicles 🛻 to transfer you to nearby shops like Indomart 🛒, Café 🍕☕️, restaurant 🧑🏽‍🍳, Sunset 🌅Point at Amed…..etc - ✅ I would not have found this place if we didn’t book with the dive shop. It turned out to be a absolute blessing! 😇 I highly recommend them! 👍👍👍👍👍

The hotel is located just outside of Tulamben. The bedrooms are far from the noisy main road which makes them peaceful. The comfort is just good. The garden and swimming pool were nice. The staff and the owner were especially nice, serviceable and generous.

We were looking for good food ie: seafood and this place delivers. They said the grilled fish is a one person serving but it’s not. It’s more like 3-4 persons. We were there twice and both times needed the property dogs to help us out. The owner is very nice, view of Mt Agun is beautiful. Food is great!

La Cocina Mexicana

Mexican restaurant
Craving authentic Mexican cuisine bursting with flavor? Look no further than La Cocina Mexicana, where you'll find a delectable array of dishes like nachos, tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. Indulge in their homemade tortillas that wrap up all the goodness.
The food was really good here ! When we arrive. The place was packed, but we were lucky we could sit right away There is a parking lot around 100 meters away. So fret you not for car drivers. The cheese quesadillas were top notch! The burrito was great and the nachos as an appetizer is great ! The tacos were soft tacos 🌮

I'm American and I grew up eating real deal Mexican food. I love trying Mexican food all over the world, just to see what it's like. This is some of the best I've ever had abroad; flavor alone it's well worth trying, then the service, quality and serving size makes this place extra special. Probably from necessity, but so many components here (tortillas, chips, salsas and so on) are homemade and these guys do a great job. The tortillas for the tacos were pliable and flavorful, the mushroom taco very satisfying, the fish in the fish taco was the first time I've EVER tasted actual fresh fish after months of Bali "fresh" fish, the beans are really good, the salsa with the chips and salsa was 🔥, and hey the margaritas were high quality and awesome too. I would go back any time I'm craving Mexican flavors

Fast and good service, very tasty food and best Spanish music!!! Will definitely come back, the flavours are from real products, and they are unbelievable fast. I stay some weeks in Bali and in some restaurants are over 50 minutes waiting time to get the food delivered, here I didn’t wait over 5-10 minutes, which is good because I was starving! Prices are cheap and everything is good quality

Always a must-stop for the best Mexican food in Amed! Everything is fresh, homemade, and absolutely delicious. Even though I usually go for takeaway, I always make sure to stock up on their spicy salsa.. my favorite!🥵🤗🤌🏽

Loved the fish tacos and the flautas. As a Southern Californian I have lots of good Mexican near me, and this definitely satisfied my cravings! (I have been in Australia for a year and stranded from true Mexican 😭) They used classic Mexican seasonings, not as much spice as usual- I think the corn tortillas were great! I am planning to go back 🤍

Absolutely loved my visit here! The chicken nachos were incredible—crispy chips loaded with tender chicken, melty cheese, fresh salsa, and creamy guacamole. Great flavors, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. Friendly staff made the experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

My favorite restaurant in Amed! Chicken flautas are amazing and I love the birria quesadillas too. I tried the Beef tacos and were ok. Baja tacos are big and delicious too. Staff is super nice and we always grab a bag of nachos for home!

This place is amazing, owned and run by a real Mexican guy. The staff and the vibes were super nice during our stay in Amed. We ate here multiple times for both lunch and dinner. Our favorites were the fish tacos and the pork quesadillas. They also catered a pickleball tournament for us, and the chicken and corn were so delicious. The corn tortillas and chips are homemade, and the guacamole is the real deal. You’ll love it!
