Fabulous! Heard about it on Stanley Tucci's Disney+ show when it featured as part of his tour of Abruzzo and it did not disappoint. Delightful and helpful staff, amazing olde worlde shop and the most incredible array of confetti, very good prices too.

This is a do not miss in Sulmona! A fantastic history. The video upstairs is the best. So informative and well made. The staff is kind and friendly. All the confetti to taste and try. Make sure you buy all the gifts!! We highly recommend.

Worth a visit if you are in sulmona. Sulmona is a lovely town, with a bit of history. The museum is pretty small (think three rooms), but the products are really really good.

The complex dates back to the 14th century, initially serving as a hospital. Over time, it evolved to include a church, orphanage, and a confraternity dedicated to the Annunciation. The complex has undergone various transformations and expansions throughout the centuries, reflecting different architectural styles to include elements of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture. The complex was damaged by earthquakes, most significantly in 1706.

A green and tranquil space raised up in the town to give lots of great views. Plenty of shade and places to rest.

Coming from the railway station it should be your first stop. It is a roman church with a crypt from the eight century. During the years the church has got baroque and renaissance influence. There is a lot to see and I spent there more than an hour to enjoy all the details. Don’t mis the 14 th century Crucifixion fresco, the charming Madonna of the furnaces (11th century), Chapel of S. Panfilo (who saved the city from the plague), the organ at the entrance and the crypt with the fine marble entrance.

A rich and nicely decorated Vatican Church. I did appriciate the marbel and granit works. Aswell the writings on the inner chapel which every chriatian should follow, expecially the second one which states "Da qui si esce per amare il prossimo." Something that the same Vatican should learn to follow.

Coop is a very good supermarket with good produce. I don't know about the other shops. Food is mainly fast food, or anyway there's no healthy choice really, but it is convenient to stop there to get groceries while travelling in the region

Don't expect this Mall to be a Megalo (Chieti), it has few stores, all very affordable, and a good "food court". The TIM office is limited in service. There are vendors in the aisles. It's worth a trip to investigate. It's more like 3-1/2 stars.

Friendly staff and great location, you can eat it outside in the historical town centre. Btw, if you are looking for an english menu, there is no need to take a picture of the Italian one and translate with Google like we did, when you enter the bistro, just turn around and there is an English menu on the wall behind you. :) We highly recommend to try the sandwiches and will definitely come back if we visit Sulmona in the future. 5/5 ⭐️🥪

I was touring from Canada and me and my friends decided to stop at this fine sandwich establishment. This was the best sandwich I ever had in my life. For only 5€, you can get a whole footlong sandwich loaded with meat. Upon finishing my sandwich, I was left with a sense of awe, and my mouth felt as if it was experiencing the best meal ever. The staff were also very helpful and spoke english. Anyone who is looking for an amazing lunch or dinner, maybe even breakfast would enjoy this very much.

This place is amazing. I was overwhelmed by the number of options available, but luckily the nice lady behind the counter gave her recommendation, and oh man, she did recommend. I will say that I am a bit bias in liking this pizzeria. I was one of the English teachers that had recently been teaching in schools in Sulmona, and on our first day teaching, the owner's daughter (if I am correct in my limited understanding of Italian) asked me and my classmates for our coffee order to welcome us to Sulmona, and to teaching her and class. When we tried to decline, she insisted on it! It made us feel so welcomed and really was one of the highlights of our experience there. We made a point to go there during our breaks in the days that followed. The coffee was very well priced, and the pizza was wonderful. While the tea was too expensive for my liking, (€3.50), I would factor that to it being a predominately coffee drinking country, instead of tea drinking one. My classmates were able to enjoy their espresso for just over €1.00. While I won't say the owners daughter's name, this message is to her: Thank you so much for welcoming us to your town, and school, and for you and your classmates being wonderful students.
