The mall's cleanliness sets it apart as an excellent retail spot for shoppers looking for quality products and services.
Loved this mall, lots of famous shops to buy clothes, friendly personal and some good food shops. Enough parking places. Good place to visit when the weather is not good 😊😉

(Translated by Google) A few years ago, we asked for some cleaner fish and we were sold a specimen of Gyrinocheilus aymonieri Gold without any useful precautions. We were told that it was suitable for the aquarium and its (at the time) inhabitants; this morning, we found our goldfish, more than 10 years old, fatally injured following an attack by the Gyrinocheilus aymonieri, after it got stuck in a piece of furniture in the aquarium last night, bringing it to the point of dying . Our fault is that of not having informed ourselves of the needs of this fish in good time before purchasing it; however, in our defense, we relied on information from the person who sold it to us that day. We will be bringing this specimen back soon.

The Archaeological Museum and Art of Maremma, located in Grosseto's historic center, is a stately museum showcasing archaeological exhibits from Roselle and a collection of medieval artwork with religious themes. The museum is housed in the Palazzo Corboli, a magnificent 12th-century palace that has been refurbished to accommodate the Museo d'Arte Sacra e Archeologico.
The collection of Etruscan artifacts is amazing and the visit gives a wonderful overall view of the development of Etruscan civilization in the area with many descriptions and historical references. But what is absolutely amazing is the kindness and the knowledge of all the young people in charge of the reception that do not hesitate to leave their site to come next to you and help understanding what is on exhibition. Particularly expert and kind the guy on last floor dedicated to medieval arts…. He came to help us understanding the particular importance of two masterpieces , one of them the Madonna delle ciliegie a sublime painting from Sassetta ! A joy to be welcomed there by the smile and kind attitude of young people passionate of art !
Julia S — Google review
The museum itself is really worth visiting, with fascinating exhibitions and a lot to discover. However, if Italian or English is not your first language, it can sometimes be difficult to fully follow along. Each room has only a general introduction in English, while most of the detailed information is in Italian. Even though I speak both languages fairly well, the specialized archaeological vocabulary is not always easy to understand. The English audioguide could also be improved. It was sometimes hard to stay synchronized with the content, as it often restarted or lost my place, and there was no clear numbering system to match the stories with specific objects. This made it tricky at times to know exactly which exhibit the guide was referring to. Overall, it’s a very good museum with great potential, and with a few improvements to translations and the audioguide system, the visitor experience would be even better.

The Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, also known as the Grosseto Cathedral, is a 13th-century Catholic place of worship located in Grosseto. The cathedral features a notable facade made of white and black marble layers, with most of it being the result of restorations in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Piazza Dante in Grosseto is a tranquil, historically rich square that has preserved its authentic atmosphere. It is dominated by the 13th-century Cathedral of Saint Lawrence and the neo-Gothic Palazzo Aldobrandeschi, the seat of the province. At its center stands the statue of Grand Duke Leopold II, known as Canapone, symbolizing the reclamation of the Maremma region. The square is unassuming, lacking bustling cafés or restaurants, which enhances its peaceful character. It is an ideal spot for those seeking a quiet pause and wishing to savor the historical ambiance of the city.

AMAZING! Best wine tasting we’ve ever had, (from multiple countries and continents). Huge shout out to Daniele, he was amazing, so passionate, very knowledgeable and answered all our questions, taking the time to explain all detail. He was so nice to spend time with us, and really added the special twist to our tasting. It wouldn’t have been half of the fun without you. Thank you again Daniele!

Love the scenery. Beautiful view of the landscape below. Worth the trip to see their layout. The building/facility is new. We paired our tasting with lunch for about 35 euros. Beautiful job of presenting the tapas with 3 to 4 different wines. We then had our tour. It was pretty quick and simple. Not bad. Great selection of wines. They make a variety of wine.

On our tour Irene gave us information about the production process, different sorts of vine, history of the vineyard and much more. We also visited the cellars which are impressive. Then we had a vine tasting paired with delicious typical small italian dishes. We had a great experience with very delicious vines and a fantastic host, Irene.

I greatly enjoyed the serene atmosphere of Al Numero 9 Grosseto, surrounded by peaceful vines and charming houses. The petite tables added to the overall cuteness and calming ambiance. The service was exceptional, with friendly and genuine staff. The food was simple but incredibly good, offering a variety of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes. They also had an excellent selection of wine. Choosing this restaurant over passing through Florence saved me valuable time in finding a good place to eat in a larger city.
Such kind and welcoming service 💙 The food was absolutely delicious — the pici pasta perfectly cooked, al dente 🤌🏽. We arrived around 5:30 PM on a quiet Sunday, just hoping to get some water since everything else was closed. The owner kindly offered it to us “as a gift,” saying they would open in an hour. Such a generous and thoughtful gesture. Grazie — truly appreciated! 🇮🇹

Small restaurant tucked between the Duomo and the Palace with delicious food and welcoming owners. The polenta with 4 ‘gusti’ (small dishes with different flavors to combine with the polenta) was SO good, and the lasagne melts in your mouth. We went back a second time and had pappardella with cinghiale which was excellent. Be sure to check the menu board for dishes not on the printed menu. Al Numero 9 is very popular and with good reason. Great experience!

Fabulous place to eat. It has a great vibe and the food is delicious. The cost of our meal was very reasonable. If you're in Grosseto I'd say this is the best place to eat.

L'Uva e il Malto is a restaurant with refined and exclusive atmosphere that nevertheless retains Maremman roots. The dishes are based on the skillful combination of innovation and tradition, and the food is truly exceptional. The service is friendly and tentative, ensuring a great dining experience.
Not to be missed. A high end, high quality restaurant at prices that don't reflect the level of the cuisine. A creative menu that offers dishes that are different to the usual fare. If you're in Grosseto and you're looking for a great place to eat, this is it! If you're not in Grosetto and you're looking for a great place to eat, come to Grosetto and eat here. You won't regret it.

This was a very disappointing experience, I would have given zero stars if I could. Food we ordered wasn’t edible. Bread was mouldy and dry. Pan fried squid was in fact a stew with a suspiciously smelly squid. Pasta was very salty and black rice risotto tasted like rice cooked in unsalted water with a mix of leftovers king prawns cut offs (heads only!). Yes we are tourists , no we don’t speak Italian but we’re given English menu. No, we were not drunk. Just a middle aged couple out for what we hoped would be a nice dinner. We waited patiently , whilst tables around us were served food, even if they arrived later. We didn’t liked the starter nor mouldy bread but still not mentioned anything to the waiter. Once been served the pasta and rice , we couldn’t eat it. It looked and tasted revolting. We told the waiter we can’t eat it and won’t pay for it. She was fine with it, but didn’t really offered any explanation nor apologies. This was was quite peculiar since tables around us seemed to be served a fresh, tasty looking food that everyone seemed to be enjoying. I’m not a snob, nor a complainer but I know a difference between fresh honest food and crap served on the plate. If the restaurant doesn’t want to serve tourists they shouldn’t offer us a table. I can’t shake off the feeling this was done purposely. Such a shame as reading the reviews we were really looking forward to enjoy our dinner there.i hope none shares the experience we had.

Went here since we felt like having a truffle lunch, this place absolutely didn’t disappoint. Lovely Italian restaurant, chef came to the table himself to ask if everything was okay. Service was super friendly, food was amazing. Every dish we saw passing looked tasty and the amount of truffle added to our pasta carbonara was way more than we dared to hope for. Absolutely recommend!

It was very delicious (seafood, wine, desserts!), cozy, super hospitably, really great restaurant. If we are in Grosseto again, it is the first place to eat:) P.S. Napoleon was just perfect, and the other desserts too🤩

From the moment we walked by to ask if we could reserve a table for later that evening to the moment we were poured blissful grappa from the house, the correctness of the service was outstanding. All exuded passion for their work; the service and the dishes. And rightly so! The plates were beautifully prepared and the dishes (and complimenting wine) we enjoyed consisted of delicious flavours. Thank you for the excellent evening you gave us!

This is very outstanding place. Amazing dishes, high quality food and outstanding service. What impressed us the most was the wines... Please, try white Dropello! We are trying to find it now in Florence and in winery shop they don't have it, but acknowledged that this is very special wine. Also we loved a grilled beef, prepared from aged meat. It's incredibly tender, melting in the mouth, true gourmand experience! Thank you very much for the warm welcome, splendid dishes and amazing experience!

Truly one of the best seafood dinners I have ever eaten in my life. It's worth visiting Grosseto just to experience this restaurant. Delightful staff, wonderful wine, exceptional seafood and delicious dessert... All served from a picturesque alfresco in a beautiful and quiet old town. I can't wait to return this week for my last night in Italy - grazie mille per la cena perfetta!

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Parco Regionale della Maremma. Not quite as popular as Cassero Senese of Grosseto, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 8 hours.

Nature & Parks
National Parks
Parco Regionale della Maremma is a stunning natural park that encompasses the Uccellina Mountain Range, a 600-hectare pine forest, marshy plains, and 20km of unspoiled coast. Visitors can explore the park through 13 signed walking trails of varying lengths, with A2 ('Le Torri') being the most popular for its 5.8km walk to the beach.
Great park, amazing wildlife and plants. Lovely treks and paths to discover. Unforgettable experience! Anywhere you look you will discover different animals and spots. You can explore and find perfect spots to snap a great picture, creating a wonderful memory. Loved it!

Exceptional worth the visit and a detour. Good chance of seeing deer, boars and definitely foxes near eating area. Rent an ebike from the shop across the street from guest center including free parking at 20 euro others more and no parking. Entrance is 5 euro and another 5 if you wanna hike cala di forno (guide no longer required) hike is about 1 h each way and well worth it. Opens 830 am closes 9 pm. Suggest do the loop in reverse for less effort so start with alberese beach then cala di forno towards sunset

Natural beauty! Beautiful beach with only a few visitors! Perfect visiting time is spring and autumn, in the summer time it can be quite hot out there!
Julian — Google review
We really enjoyed our guided hike led by Cecilia. She was very considerate to involve the whole group and was able to transmit her passion for nature, history and culture. Highly recommended to book a tour and explore special paths
Markus K — Google review
The scenery is beautiful and there are possibly nice hiking paths (most were closed to visitors). The Maremma region is also full of points of interest and is well worth a visit. However, we were disappointed with the management of the park. We had to buy a ticket for each trail that we wanted to hike or cycle on. It was not possible to purchase a combined ticket for multiple tours. In summer, only guided tours are available. During our visit, most of these were cancelled due to horseflies, leaving us with a visit to the beach as the only viable alternative. The park is also poorly connected to the surrounding area, especially if you are planning to reach it by bike. Busy 'strade provinciali' are often the only available routes, and the few cycle paths are hardly signposted.
Papera U — Google review
Beautiful place. It's really hot in June, so bring a lot of water with you, some fresh snacks, and a hat. Very easy to walk, and with nice surprises in many of its paths.

We went there mid of september and it was miraculous. We‘ve never seen nature like it is shown in this nature reserve. Highly recommend to take at least one path that leads to one of the castles placed high up. The panorama is beautiful up there and you can quietly observe the landscape. Also recommend to go swim on the beach with a blue sky above.

This was an absolute fantastic experience! We had the best time. Matteo provided us with great indications on how to get to the winery. He was polite and the best part of the experience! Great level of languages as he spoke to us both in perfect Spanish and English. The vineyards were mesmerizing and beautiful scenery and we got to go around and learn about the history and properties of the land and production of the wine. We then enjoyed the 6 wine tasting which was fantastic. Matteo brought out a great variety of Italian products to accompany the wine which was to die for. We enjoyed the wine so much we bought a whole bunch of them to bring back home. 10/10 experience, super recommended!! Thank you for everything, we loved our time and it was a key memory of our trip to Tuscany!

On the morning of September 29th, we, three friends from Vienna, Austria (no wine experts but true wine lovers), visited Tenuta Belguardo not knowing, not expecting that this would be our most memorable visit of the 6 vineries we had on our “to do-list”. Besides the beautiful location on the top of the hill with its welcoming interior it’s the people that make the difference in service! We were truly lucky and privileged that Matteo shared with us his incredible knowledge about the various aspects of winemaking at your site and in the Maremma in general. This was followed by an excellent presentation of your wines that made our tasting a wonderful experience! Thank you very much!

I could not recommend more this wine tasting experience. We had an incredible time and it was mostly thanks to the hospitality and kindness of Matteo. He spoke fluent Spanish and English which we really appreciated as group of Spanish girls. Matteo brought us a variety of wine and italian charcuterie which was absolutely delicious. He also showed us around the vineyard which was beautiful. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area and look forward to going back! Beautiful memory in tuscany!

Italian restaurant
Ristorante Grantosco, located near Piazza dei Mariti d'Istia, offers a unique dining experience with its contemporary design. The menu features standout dishes like pici con ragu di polpo and cevice di gamberi. Guests praise the attentive and friendly staff who ensure a pleasant dining experience for everyone. The restaurant is highly recommended for its delicious food, including highlights like carbonara and beef cheek.
Food and service are excellent, atmosphere is great thanks to the courtesy and friendliness of the owner. Gran Tosco offers plenty of well prepared and delicious dishes and has an excellent wine choice. I do recommend it to visitors and tourists if they happen to stay in or stroll through the center of Grosseto.

Fantastic Italian cousin! Everyone enjoying delicious food, a MUST visit. We had the catch of the day, really very tasty; pasta carbonara, made very special, unique, with wonderful taste composition, and finally dark chocolate mousse! Service was excellent and a very engaged owner taking care of the wellbeing of all guests.

We visited this restaurant one evening and it was so good that we immediately booked a table for the following night…it was impossible not to come back. The first night we had the fish of the day, an orata cooked to perfection, and pasta with duck ragù both unforgettable. The second night we tried the carbonara and beef cheek, and again we were blown away. Both dishes were extraordinary. The service was just as impressive. Our server gave excellent recommendations, clearly understanding that travelers want to explore local cuisine and products. A wonderful hidden gem in Grosseto. We will remember the food forever and that’s what you travel for.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. We were treated so well. We stopped for lunch after a long day of travel with some cranky kids, and the staff couldn’t have been more lovely. They ensured everyone had something they were happy with. All of the food was delicious. The carbonara and beef cheek were highlights, but everyone loved what they had. Highly recommended!!!

We came here with our 9 month old baby and the owner Camelia made us feel so warmly welcomed. She personally walked us through the different dishes of the day, and recommended the freshest catch and wine as well. Our baby was noisy but we were made to feel like family! The seafood here is excellent, ingredients are impeccable. We were even able to feed our baby some seafood and vegetables. The dessert is also very lovely - creme brûlée texture was completely perfect and delicious. Then owner’s mother and son were also there, also kind and helpful. If you want to feel like family and eat like family, come here!

We had great cooking here, but also atmosphere, good wine choices and very welcoming staff. The owner showed her passion for quality food and experiences in our conversation with her and the meal that we had. It is no surprise that they are Michelin rated for many years past and present. It was a memorable evening on all counts.

Great restaurant with a passionate and warm owner. With personality and culinary knowledge you’ll eat some of the best dishes when in Italy. A must visit. Please ask the owner for her childhood dessert, it’s one of the most satisfying desserts you’ll ever going to eat!

Nestled within the enchanting pine forest of Marina di Alberese, Punti di Ristoro Parco LA VIOLA RISTORO is a delightful culinary gem just a stone's throw from the sea. This charming eatery prides itself on serving artisanal dishes crafted from high-quality ingredients, predominantly sourced from the beautiful Maremma region.
Lovely place to get a quick coffee and snack before the early morning dip in the sea

Personally, I did not enjoy this campsite. It's dull, very noisy, has no character and I didn't like the atmosphere and surroundings at all. Fine for passing through, but that's all. Not recommended.

(Translated by Google) Location difficult to reach. I should start by saying that I was there with family and friends on Friday, August 9th, a weekday, but obviously overbooked for a seaside resort... and in fact, parking was already full by 9:30 a.m. The only way to access the park and its beaches is by shuttle, which, in about a 10-minute ride, takes you near the restaurant, departing from Marina di Albarese. Unfortunately, we discovered that since it's a "weekday," the shuttle only runs every hour, so the bus (dedicated exclusively to this route) stops for over half an hour when it arrives in Marina from Alberese, regardless of whether there are tourists... 😒 Shortly before noon, we're at the restaurant, where trails start for (paid!) bike tours 🚲 or 🏃 of the park, and to reach the "wild" beach. The trail is well-maintained and well-maintained, nestled among pine trees and dunes, while the beaches are rather neglected and absolutely average for other places in the area (the only drawback is the presence of groups of elderly nudists). We appreciated the opportunity to have a picnic lunch in the designated areas with tables and benches, but the restrooms were poorly maintained and the street food was very expensive! A peculiar presence is the fox, which, without any hesitation or shyness, and even quite aggressively, raids the beach umbrellas in search of food, then carries off packets of biscuits, etc., into the pine forest. (Original) Location difficilmente raggiungibile.

(Translated by Google) This restaurant is located in the pine forest of Marina di Alberese, just a few meters from the sea. They serve truly delicious artisanal products, made with high-quality ingredients sourced mostly from the Maremma area. We chose this place for their gluten-free options (they are certified by the Italian Celiac Association, and the owners are celiac sufferers), and we were not disappointed. One of the two trucks sells all gluten-free products (just be careful, as they also carry gluten-containing brioches and donuts (which are separated from the rest under lids marked with the presence of gluten to avoid cross-contamination). For breakfast, there are various pastries/cakes made in their dedicated laboratory; the Frangipane and Chocolate Brownies are very good (our little celiac loved them). For lunch and dinner, you can choose from a variety of sandwiches (only the GF burger needs to be ordered in the morning). The gluten-free bread they make is one of the best I've ever tasted. The pizza on the beach at sunset (also gluten-free) is a great idea; just order it in the morning, choose a delivery time, and they'll bring it right to you overlooking the sea. For older kids, the coffee is really good and they have a variety of gluten-free craft beers. The service is prompt and very friendly. Servizio preciso e molto cordiale

La Scafarda ristorante offers the best pizza I have ever tasted, with outstanding service from staff who are fluent in English. The prices are incredibly reasonable for such a high-quality dining experience. In addition to their delicious food, they offer a wide selection of beverages including red wine, craft beer, and water. The wild boar ribs (La Rosticiana) come highly recommended and pair perfectly with a glass of San Giovese wine.

Would not recommend: drive 15 min to Grosseto, you have better options. Food was OK, but very expensive for what you get. The problem is the staff: they are arrogant and unfriendly. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived, they let us wait at the door for 5 min until anyone noticed us, after we were seated, they let us wait 20min until they gave us the menue. Food came over an hour, after we orderd. In the off-season this is the only restaurant, so we had no option, but if you think about going here - dont! It is not worth it.

Spiaggia Marina di Grosseto is a stunning stretch of wide golden sands, catering to both those seeking a more organized beach experience and those craving a wilder atmosphere. Visitors in October can enjoy the warm sea, light winds, and uncrowded shores, creating an incredible sense of space and tranquility. The beach offers a natural beauty that shines during winter but remains well-organized for summer tourists while preserving protected areas in their natural state.

The beach itself is lovely, very clean with warm water. There are many beach clubs with reserved spaces on the beach, but between these there are short spaces that are free for members of the public. Keep walking and you will find space. As someone else said, there are some jellyfish in the sea, but not many and we were not affected at all. There is public parking right by the beach but you have to pay. I would recommend parking for free on the roadside on the way into marina di Grosseto, where all of the trees are and then taking the short 10-minute walk to the beach.

Nice beach with clean sand and clear, warm water. As others have said, the beach, which is around 2 miles long, alternates between free sections and "private" sections where you can rent umbrellas and loungers. It's worth comparing prices for these though - the first one we asked was 22€ all day (for 2 loungers+umbrella) but just a bit further along, another place was only 12€ for the day. There are a few places to buy drinks and snacks too. See the photos for parking prices - paid parking was not unreasonable but you can park for free on the road which is only 2-3 minutes walk. A great place to relax and on a weekday in mid-September, not very busy.

In June there was plenty of room, especially during the week. Pleasant crowds, no antisocial behavior. Everything is quiet. We only heard Italians, almost no Northern Europeans. There are a number of nice beach bars for meals, cocktails, etc., without it becoming too commercial. Parking 10m from the beach! €5 for a day ticket or €1 per hour. So great. "dirty" sand instead of nice sand 3. No showers or toilets. There is not even a tap to rinse your feet. The beach should be cleaned in the morning or evening with special machines that collect all the garbage, cigarette butts and impurities so that the sand is clean. Here, none of that is done. 4. Because there are no bathrooms - so I pee on the sand and in the bushes and add to the mess on this beach. 5. A lot of commercial sunbeds at very high prices of 15€ for 2 sunbeds per day. In the sections with sunbeds there are bars with junk "food" 6. Dirty and muddy water. Zero visibility in the water. There were a lot of jellyfish in the water up to my armpits. Unfortunately, they've raised them, and the worst thing is that they still don't have a menu, but simply announce the dishes verbally. This way, you don't know how much you're spending, and then at the checkout... big surprise. They could at least put up a blackboard with the prices, if the menu is always changing... besides, they have to be listed by law.

Abbey
Scenic spot
Nestled within the enchanting landscape of Diaccia Botrona, the Abbazia di San Pancrazio al Fango stands as a testament to history. Once part of Lake Prile, this area is now a protected swamp that houses remnants of Isola Clodia, an ancient Roman villa believed to have served as a docking point for Etruscan vessels. The abbey itself is built atop these historical foundations and offers stunning views over the marshlands and Castiglione della Pescaia.
(Translated by Google) What remains of Lake Prile can be seen in the swamp today called Diaccia Botrona, but not only does the protected area remain, but included in the protected area is the so-called Isola Clodia, a Roman villa, perhaps also a mooring of the Etruscan port of Vetulonia, it would seem logical, the mooring rings of the ships are still walled in the foundations, stratified above a medieval monastery, a place, also beautiful for the view you can enjoy of the Botrona ice, the only flaw is the entrance it is strictly limited to Saturdays and Sundays 9; 12pm, and in the afternoon 3.18pm. Beware of the surly and ill-mannered owner of the place.

In ancient times the current hill was an island, the swamp was not there, and the position was so beautiful that the Romans had built a villa on top. The place is worth it for the beautiful view of the marshland and Castiglione della Pescaia. Reaching the hill is simple as the road is in excellent condition, but you have to cross a large private property... fences have been placed around the entrance by the owner, so it is best to access only if authorized.

Bagno Stella is a beach club that stands out for being one of the few fully open establishments in March. It offers plenty of space between umbrellas and various recreational areas including a beach volleyball court and a basketball hoop. The restaurant serves delicious food, especially seafood, and has a romantic atmosphere with driftwood sunshades. The staff is attentive and provides great hospitality. Visitors can enjoy breakfast if they have an agreement with the Mediterranean residence. Families are welcome as there is a play area nearby.

Tre Stelle Beach is a lovely spot located at the end of Marina di Grosseto, offering a beautiful sandy beach and shallow waters, making it perfect for families with small children. The beach provides loungers and parasols for rent, as well as hygienic facilities. Visitors can enjoy delicious seafood and meat dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients at the various restaurants in the area. Additionally, there are options for self-service dining and fresh pizza in the afternoon.

The general restaurant and beach are okay. It's important to take into account that when you rent an umbrella (we payed 22 euros for any umbrella in the 7 row), you have more services such as a parking space, access to other bathrooms (very clean) and you can use the ping pong table ( they give you the ball and racket). The food on the other hand, is a self service type of restaurant. They have a big bar and you choose your meal. The food was good but it was a bit expensive for the type of service. We had 3 dishes, 3 drinks and 1 bowl of fruit and we payed 42 euros.

For day 4, we recommend exploring the west side side of town. Start the day off with Museum of Natural History of the Maremma, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Labirinto Mandalavita. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

The Museum of Natural History of the Maremma is situated in the heart of Grosseto, specifically in Piazza della Palma. Housed in a building that was once a civil home and later transformed into a secular school named Vittorio Emanuele, this museum has been an integral part of the city since its inauguration in 1879. With three floors, including two dedicated to exhibitions, it offers an engaging experience for visitors.

(Translated by Google) Interactive natural history museum right in the center of Grosseto. Easy to reach by leaving your car just outside the city walls. The museum isn't huge, but it spans three floors with exhibits on earth and life sciences. The top floor features an interactive section with many stuffed animals whose sounds can be heard in nature. Very fun for kids. I didn't give it 5 stars because some rooms could be better utilized. You can easily explore the entire museum in an hour. The family ticket at €12 is very good value. (Translated by Google) This small but comprehensive Natural History Museum is dedicated to the Maremma region, with an in-depth focus on local fauna, flora, and geology. The multimedia stations, with videos and interactive explanations, are well-designed and accessible even to elementary school children, making the visit an engaging experience for the whole family. The section dedicated to stuffed animals and dioramas is meticulously crafted and offers a compelling representation of the area's typical natural environments. Some scenic effects, such as the sound section dedicated to animal sounds (especially birds) and the dark room with a lifeline that lights up as you walk through, are particularly evocative and are a favorite with children. The only downside was finding some interactive stations not working during our visit. Nevertheless, the museum can be visited independently and can be completed in about an hour, making it an excellent choice for a pleasant family visit. We haven't had the chance to try it, but we're sure that an educational visit for schools or a guided tour with one of the museum's experts could be very interesting.

During a storm in Grosseto, a family sought shelter at Buca San Lorenzo, a restaurant that had not yet opened for business. Despite this, the staff kindly allowed them inside to avoid waiting in the rain. The family enjoyed excellent red wine and a remarkable meal. However, when it was time to pay their bill, they declined. This act of kindness was truly touching and represented the most beautiful gesture encountered in Italy.
A storm in Grosseto brought me and my family to this restaurant. The restaurant was still closed, but they still let us in so they wouldn't make us wait in the rain. We got the best red wine there and they made us an amazing meal. When it came to paying, they refused to pay. It was the most beautiful human gesture we experienced in Italy. I wish the people in the restaurant the best of luck in life. If you are passing by, definitely stop by and try their food Thanks again

Absolutely amazing meal, all locals and definitely not a tourist trap. This is a restaurant that specializes in seafood so don’t bring your kids for chicken fingers! The menu is verbatim, just trust the owner, eat well and splurge on a special someone who can appreciate the quaint and intimate setting or in my case go by yourself as to not waste time on small talk so you can savor every single bite. maybe 15 seats, so get here early. Enjoy!!

(Translated by Google) In the ancient city of Grosseto behind its walls, there is a wonderful restaurant La Buca di San Lorenzo. Impeccably managed by Claudio, who with his empathy manages to win over his diners, not only through his freshly caught fish, but also through the attention paid to his refined dishes. Furthermore, the selection of wines and coffees is excellent, in addition to the excellent quality/price ratio which makes it a truly special restaurant. Thank you with all my heart.

(Translated by Google) Excellent restaurant in the historic center of Grosseto. The place is small but very welcoming and well furnished. The menu described in detail by the owner is mainly based on fish. We let ourselves be advised, in particular for the starter, and we were very satisfied. The second courses and desserts are also good. Good selection of wines. If I have one criticism it is that there is no written menu on which you can stop and reflect before deciding. And maybe someone would also like to have an idea of the prices. Furthermore, the POS was not working that evening. It's not cheap but the value for money is certainly fair. He also gave us a nice discount.

(Translated by Google) A small, really well-kept, welcoming place with a very suggestive light. There is a family atmosphere and the fish is quality. Unfortunately, however, I did not appreciate the lack of a paper menu / QR code at the tables. I understand wanting to present the dishes verbally, but it is not very nice to have to imagine the price of the dishes and I would have preferred to be able to calmly read the menu before ordering. (yes, there is a menu at the entrance, but I do not have a photographic memory) (Original) Un piccolo locale davvero curato, accogliente e con una luce molto suggestiva. (Translated by Google) A delicious restaurant, worthy of a Michelin star. Prices are more than fair for the quality of the food and the service they provide. We were blown away by the flavors, the pairings, and the quality of the food. The specific dishes depend on the season, so I'd recommend calling ahead. The ambiance is meticulously maintained, and the service is attentive and perfect. The staff is very helpful; the restaurant closes at 11:00 PM, but they let us finish slowly and waited until midnight. The owner is incredibly friendly, and you can tell he cares about what he does and the food he chooses to offer. It's the perfect place to eat quality seafood and wonderful dishes. Locanda de' Medici Grosseto is a unique restaurant located in a century-old cellar tavern within the old city walls of Grosseto. The building is contained within the ancient walls that surround the city center, adding to its historical charm. The restaurant offers traditional dishes with a focus on impeccable meat and handmade pasta. Despite being underground, the atmosphere is warm and comfortable, providing a unique dining experience. Visitors praise the generous portions of pasta and the flavorful ragu that accompanies it.
Super yummy. One of the best pasta I have ever had.I had the fresh pasta with wild boar sauce. And the restaurant interior is so pretty.

Hit it 👍🏽! This place was particularly amazing. To sit in a cellar and enjoy so many delicious foods was special. Try and get a wide variety of options so you don't miss out on anything. Make reservations if you can because there is not alot of space.

Great Italian experience in the underground tonels of the old city. Perfect choice if you want to try the Italian way with food and wine.
Haralambi K — Google review
I was having a hard time finding this place because I was trying to find a building but couldn't - because it's underground! This restaurant has a very unique feel. Because it's underground so it feels like a bomb shelter or a church hiding from persecution but yet the place is very warm and comfortable. I wasn't very hungry so I only got their pasta - tortellini I think. It was HUGE. The ragu gave the pasta its taste because the pasta itself was really bland. They have a good spread of bread though. I paid €10 for the pasta, €2 for the water & €2 cover charge. I'd say the prices are a bit high because I came from Ravenna & Florence & they served great pasta at only about €6.50 to €8 and they were better O must say. But yes, come here for the interior design! Their underground wine "cellar" is really cool.

If you're on a culinary adventure through Tuscany, make sure to stop by Ristorante Pizzeria Non Solo Pizza. This charming eatery offers an impressive selection of authentic Italian pizzas and delectable seafood dishes, all at reasonable prices. Diners rave about the freshness and flavor of each dish, from the thin-crust pizzas to the rich pasta options. The service is equally commendable; one standout waitress named Katiusha impressively manages orders with remarkable speed even during busy times.
I recommend this restaurant. Great Italian pizza and seafood dishes at a very good price. Always fresh and tasty. It was nice to be there during a tour of Tuscany and especially to see how incredibly one clever waitress Katiusha can handle orders so quickly with a large number of guests.

First BK in Italy. YIKES! App doesn't scan, coffee machine doesn't serve coffee, sockets are covered up (one cover was broken by someone so I used that) and Wifi doesn't work (I saw a review complaining about way back 6 years ago) —no bueno. 3 Stars because of the workers, for no other reason.

They never follow the customization of the burger, sometimes they completely ignore the extra ingredients, other times they are completely missing everything. If I take something away, I always find it like that, like mustard. I have been here 4 times and every time it is bad

That was the most disappointing service at a BurgerKing i have ever expirienst. We waitet for 40 minutes in line. We ordered and get the fries and the drinks after 5 minutes and waitet for another 25 minutes for the burgers. So after more than an hour we could eat our cold fries with a warm drink. At least, the burger was good. We also had quite a hard time to order, because the lady at the checkout hat trouble to understand us in italien and also in english.

Rocca di Frassinello is a renowned winery in Tuscany, Italy, designed by the acclaimed architect Renzo Piano. It is a joint venture between Italian and French partners, with its vineyards evenly split between Italian and French grape varieties. The estate offers year-round visits for guests to explore its identity and enjoy wine tastings. Situated along the old Aurelia road, this chic winery seamlessly blends antique charm with contemporary elegance.
We had a great experience at Rocca di Frassinello. On the way there, we blew a tire on the very bumpy access road—just a heads-up for future visitors. The staff were incredibly helpful: they picked us up, offered to help contact a mechanic, and got us to the winery safely. Since some of our group had to stay behind with the car, they missed the full tour, but the team kindly showed them the cellar before the tasting so they could still enjoy part of it. Beautiful place, great wine, very kind people—and they speak excellent English, which made everything much easier. Thanks again!

Update 8.22 Don’t expect a warm welcome without a reservation… or for that matter, a friendly, knowledgeable reception. 3* down from 5* last year. Heaven on earth. Julio gave me the Superior tour, which included an in-depth tour of the facilities and a tasting with some snacks. He is welcoming & knowledgeable and even let me take a preview taste of an upcoming vintage! The wine is fantastic (don’t miss the Baffonero – quite possibly the best Merlot I’ve ever had). September is a lovely time to visit, as the staff is working on the harvest. Big thanks to Julio & the rest of the wonderful folks at Rocca do Frassinello for a lovely afternoon.

Located within the Polo Culturale Le Clarisse in Grosseto, Italy, the Museo Collezione Gianfranco Luzzetti is a captivating attraction that showcases a diverse array of artwork and sculptures spanning from the 14th to the 19th centuries. The difference, compared to other museums that contain works, is precisely that of understanding the common thread that led a boy who buys his first painting to become a great collector who keeps a selection of works in his home. Italian restaurant
Al Posto Accanto is a seafood restaurant in Grosseto, Italy that serves up excellent food. The antipasto is particularly recommended, with everything on the menu being delicious. The pasta is homemade and delicious, and the desserts are also very good.
Amazing food like I hadn’t experienced in a while. Great Cremant de Roussilloun and nice wine list. Service can be better.

Delicious homemade pasta, great wine and really delicious desserts. Highly recommended if you're in town.

Very good food, delicious desserts!

This rating is about service, not food. The blonde waitress worked without a face-mask! In all the other restaurants in Italy we visited this year, the staff always wore face-masks. We were unable to visit the restaurant because there were unfortunately no more seats. We were rejected by this waitress EXTREMELY UNFRIENDLY AND ARROGANT. Very very unprofessional and condescending!

Good seafood and pasta. Reasonable prices. After season - late September - it was the only place full of people in the evening, we found in quite abandoned Marina di Grosetto

Restaurant
If you're looking for a delicious Italian meal, check out Osteria Il Mangiapane. They have a variety of dishes that will satisfy your cravings, from lunches to dinners. Plus, they have outdoor seating and parking available. If you're looking for a fun night out with friends, this is the perfect place to go.
I had a wonderful experience at Osteria Mangiapane in Alberese. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, with a real Tuscan charm that makes you feel immediately welcome. The food is excellent – fresh, traditional, and full of flavour. Each dish is prepared with care and highlights the quality of local ingredients. The staff are friendly, attentive, and happy to recommend dishes or wines to pair with your meal. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great food, and really feel the spirit of Maremma. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Alberese or the surrounding area.

We came to this restaurant based on a Google recommendation. The restaurant turned out to be closed, although it showed information on the Internet that it was open. Disappointed

Absolutely amazing experience in every way. Delicious home cooked food, beautiful surroundings and friendly staff who were endlessly patient with us given our lack of knowledge of Italian and the dishes on offer. I recommend it to everyone!!
Lucie U — Google review
Great local dishes, friendly staff, awesome location.

positiv: - the food is worth the money it costs. - the youngest of the team (fortunately) did not yet behave like the rest. negativ: - how can it be that four servants are not enough to serve around 15 guests? - didn't think it would be possible to find a restaurant where you were greeted but not offered a seat!!!!! - make sure to look like heaps of money or you are treated with ignorance !

Good and large place. Lot of space for parking. Staff must try to be more friendly. Food is alright but it should be more fresh. They must consider about the taste and the freshness. Toilets are good and clean. We are giving 3 stars because unfriendliness of the staff. Other than that it’s a good place. I recommend.

Very good calzone, filled to the top with food which is rare. Very good flavor and they have tall glasses if you’d like a coke from the fountain. Also like 30 pizza options! Nice stop on the side of the road if you are hungry and nearby. Great food for great prices.
