Seafood restaurant
Fishing camp
"I Pescatori" is a charming seafood restaurant located in a converted 19th-century stable overlooking the picturesque lagoon. Operated by a cooperative of local fishermen, it offers an authentic dining experience with a focus on lagoon fish and ocean varieties. Guests can enjoy al fresco dining with stunning sunset views at communal tables outside. The menu features fresh and delicious seafood dishes such as grilled seabass and grey mullet roe, paired with quality Ansonica white wine.
Authentic, Local, and Absolutely Delicious We visited Pescatori as part of a small Silversea Cruises tour — no crowds, no tourists, just an intimate and authentic experience in Porto Santo Stefano. The location couldn’t be more perfect: right by the water, with a relaxed atmosphere that feels truly local. The seafood was outstanding — fresh, simple, and full of flavour. You can tell this is a place loved by the community. Service was warm and efficient, even with our small group. A wonderful highlight of our day in this charming port town
Robert M — Google review
The food is really good and the service is quite rustic and simple. Location-wise this place is unique: eating while beholding the sun setting over Orbetello’s west lagoon is indeed unforgettable. Don’t expect a fancy spot with vacuous frills: you get what you see, and you’ll likely love it.

This is by far the worst we have ever been to, after a week in Italy a week, eating out nightly. We waited 40 min for the restaurant to open on a Sunday night,  although according to Google maps,  they've been open all day.  They were booked outside , we agreed to sit inside.  The wooden bench was dusty. The chairs were too low compared to the table.  We had to ask for the fan to be turned on.  And I wouldn't have bothered to write about it, if the rest would have been good.  But NO. Then we waited for a while.  A very rude waitress, although speaking English, laid a paper menu and *commanded* "fill in the food and drinks order", in a very blunt way. Two pastas arrived.  They tasted ok. The antipasti didn't. Together with the "mixed" salad, lettuce and tomatoes only,  came only after a reminder. We had to ask for olive oil and balsamic.  Otherwise,  no taste to the salad. They forgot the ravioli. (The only option that could be made  vegetarian,  for me). The raw fish antipasti was not really raw, not carpaccio  . We waited *long long* time for the fish. By that time,  others that arrived with us were almost done eating. Then the marinated eel came cold and nobody could keep a single bite. The grilled fish were reported to be good. They come with nothing,  you have to order separately any side. And the worst,  while waiting for the fish,  we asked for another menu to order more food,  because we realized that we won't have enough... the waitress said - no you can't order more!!! inconceivable!!! My wife had to go somewhere else with the kids. I'd rather they'd tell us they don't have the capacity. And they didn't care about any of my feedback. STAY AWAY
Gadi W — Google review
The best spigola that I have so far. We've been here more than 10 times and always we are very happy. The crew is friendly, but busy. But The fishes are just amazing. Prepared on grill, but The best. Totally need to stop here. And The view for sunset is stunning.
Dawid G — Google review
One of the worst restaurants ever ... very rude approach, no idea about customer service .... than the fish starter was rubbery, and the pasta,.... how can you ever eat bad pasta in Italy .. well it was really bad! Pasta was soggy and crusty probably cooked in the morning, it was meant to be a carbonara ... it was egg soup, with disgusting pasta, that gets stuck in your throat ! I had 3 forks ... we paid got up and left !! Never again ... i'd rather not eat, than eat that rubbish!! Should read Centro di disguastazione rather !!
Rosanna C — Google review
Great location for sunset. The food is good, but not great. Most preferred dishes are the first courses of pasta. The one with bottarga or sea bass ragout especially. I didn’t like the eel at all, tasted like a hotdog. Unfortunately mosquitoes are quite annoying, especially at night under the lamp posts. It’s rather cheap for being fish
Leon P — Google review
Never ever in my life would I have imagined that such an awful place could exist in Italy! The country of good taste and good food, where I come 2-3 times per year since ages... This "restaurant" functions like this: you arrive, pick up a menu and a number and wait outside for your turn to come. Then you go to the cashier, PAY (!!) and go in the eating area, which is composed of approx 30 tables with plastic chairs under some tents. You pick up a tray, glasses and cuttlery and wait at the table to be called and go YOURSELF to pick up the "food". Even if it is all about self-service, you pay a " coperto" of 2 eur/person. The food is of very poor quality, and extremely expensive. We paid for 2 horrible antipasti, four fishes (aquacultured, although we were in a place right next to the water; they called one of the four fishes "anguilla" but it was a blackish, dubious, smoked and afterwards deep fried slices of "something" which could have been anything but not a fish), some deep fried, too salty vegetables and two tasteless tomatoes cut into pieces 94 euros!!! (Amount which I am ready to pay and I pay every evening for good quality food in nice restaurants.) While you eat and after you eat, a guy comes and cleans the table, disposing everything in one of the large bins right next to the tables! The only reason why we have not left was because we were hungry and tired. I attach some pictures. I am terribly sorry I did not take pictures of the "food" as well.

Fort Stella, located above Porto Ercole, is a well-preserved fortification built between the mid-sixteenth and first half of the seventeenth century. This imposing structure features four-pronged bastions with a second six-pronged fortification overhanging the sea. Originally serving as a watchtower, it communicated with other towers in the area using light signals to alert against potential attacks.

Feniglia is a stunning 7km stretch of sandy beach and pine trees located in a natural reserve that connects Monte Argentario to the mainland. This untouched beach near Orbetello offers crystal clear waters, wild nature, and fine white sand. Visitors can leave their cars in shaded parking areas and explore the pine forest on foot or by bike before relaxing on one of Tuscany's most beautiful beaches.
Close to paradise I’d say. Pure nature with cristalline sea waters. Stunning views and 7 km of a dream beach

Beautiful sandy beach that spans a huge distance. Water and sand quality is very nice. There is sometimes debris from the trees and algae but if you walk a little bit you can definitely find spots that are clean. Parasol and beach chairs are extra ($) This public beach is very busy so it is best to get there early.
Ian R — Google review
Lovely, long sandy beach. Early in the morning was super to walk. Later in the morning it filled up pretty full even for late June. I found a nice hill with a breeze to hang my hammock and enjoyed watching over the crowded super-hot sand.
Jeremy L — Google review
The eastern beach looks nice, nothing more... Public parking is about 15min walk from the beach. The eastern public beach is far away from the expectations of a wild beach. I guess there's another specific access to the untamed areas of the beach. Navigation apps couldn't suggest anything a car can reach. Maybe I'll get successful next time...

Ristoro La Sorgente is a tranquil and serene establishment nestled in the midst of nature. It offers a peaceful atmosphere where guests can appreciate the lush forest surroundings and the pleasant chirping of cicadas. The self-service concept allows for affordability, and the locally sourced meat is expertly prepared. The tortelloni dishes are particularly outstanding. While there may not be a wide selection of beers, the draft wine options are reasonably priced and of decent quality.
Incredible experience. You can eat better than Asterix and Obelix in ancient Rome on a beautiful mountain next to a monastery for a great price. Worth it!
Adam S — Google review
Very nice location, unfortunately not suitable for cyclists. After cycling up the mountain we wanted to take a quick break on the way down. Since we didn't take a bike lock with us we wanted to take our bikes near our seats outdoors, so we could at least see them. But we weren't allowed by the staff. Only outside of the location between the garbage can and the toilet. This never happened to us at any cafe/bistro/restaurant with outside seating. Therefore we only bought water and left. Such a pity...

Relaxing place on the mountain nature and shady trees. Restaurant, lunch open 12:00-15:00 Dinner 19:30-22:00
SY.Sawitree C — Google review
The restaurant is in the woods and has a somewhat magical feel. Beyond that it‘s very informal, self-service with disposable compostable plates. The food is good but not great. Only the „minestrone etrusco“ we found noteworthy. Selection is limited with no fish and very little choice for vegetarians. It could have been a 5/5 (I like these sort of informal places) if not for the price. With lack of service and not-great food you either offer generous portions or low prices..
Giaime R — Google review
The food was excellent and the waiters were very kind. We had an excellent dinner.

Very cool place next to the old Monastery. Unique view over the Monte Argentario. Many dishes to choose from but most of them with meat. Not too turistic, so it is more where italians are stopping by. Definately worth visiting

Spiaggia La Cantoniera

Beach
Spiaggia La Cantoniera is a captivating coastal stretch adorned with rugged cliffs and reefs, offering picturesque views of the sea. Although it may be challenging to access, this beach boasts clear waters and a distinct landscape that make the effort worthwhile. It shares similarities with other nearby sandy beaches like la Giannella and la Feniglia, as well as secluded coves that can only be reached by sea or via demanding paths.
Small pebble beach in walking distance from walk port (accessible through a tunnel for pedestrians). There is both a private (paid) and public (free) section. We stayed close to the umbrellas and we were not bothered. Toilets are also free to use (surprisingly quite clean). Come early to find a spot, since it gets quite busy in the afternoon. The view you get from the water is spectacular! ☀️
Anastasia — Google review
MUST READ BEFORE COMING HERE! 1. Navigation ------------- If you use G.Maps to go by car or by foot you'll end up in the higher part of the cliff and in the middle of the road. That's because G.Maps doesn't know there is a pedestrian/bicycle-only tunnel that leads there. So instead, navigate to this parking lot: "Parcheggio Fanciulli Gianni" and if you are with a car you must park it there and continue by foot. Go inside the tunnel and once you exit It the beach will be on the left! 2. What you'll find there: ------------------------- -Free entrance - An area you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas -Above it a restaurant/bar with reasonable prices for a beach (the Menu photos below) - good for drinks, snacks and also lunch - toilets and changing rooms - a "free beach" with sand, in which you can put your own beach umbrellas and blankets. Further on that beach the sand turns into pebbles (little stones) which are less comfortable to lay on (unless you have a mattress) but a towel is also ok. In these parts you can find both shade and sun. 3. What to bring ----------------- For the sandy part of the beach - nothing special. For the rockier part it's recommended to bring sandals or water-shoes. That way you can either climb the rocks that lead to other, small Calas (small Rocky "beaches" or niches) or swim there and get on these rocks from the water with more comfort. CAREFUL! in some rocks inside the water further from this beach there might be sea-urchins (round, black, spiky animals). If you go there without any shoes you might step on them and it's not pleasant... Pay attention 🙏 Also, if you have snorkeling gear or swimming goggles- it will be easier to spot as well as other small fish and shells. An inflatable mattress, tube etc are also nice to bring as well as a beach umbrella if you want to make sure you'll have shade all the time. Enjoy! ⛱️
Oh G — Google review
Small bay with pebble beach. Quiet in the off-season but crowded during high season. Nice view overlooking Porto Santo Stefano. The beach has two sections. One with paid services, umbrellas and chairs. The other offer free access. There is a small bar/restaurant.
John S — Google review
Wonderful beach and the perfect place to go swimming from 7 in the morning to 7 in the evening. The walk to the beach go through an old railroad tunnel that brings you to other beaches along the track.
Remi A — Google review
Reasonably attractive beach with good views of Porto Santo Stefano, but it's stony, the surroundings are quite run-down, and the water doesn't seem especially clean (snorkelling is not so good). There are many better beaches on Monte Argentario.
Alastair C — Google review
(Translated by Google) Once you reach the port of Santo Stefano on the right you can follow the signs for the Cantoniera. After the first tunnel you go down to the beach via a ladder. Near the free beach there is a bar restaurant with the possibility of renting umbrellas, sun loungers and deck chairs. Pebble beach, recommended shoes. If you are interested in snorkeling, the stretch of coast towards the port is better. Daily parking on the street costs 20 euros, private parking near the tunnel costs 15 euros. 5 minutes away private parking inside the sports field at 10 euros. Daily prices. Prezzi giornalieri.

(Translated by Google) At the beginning before arriving in Porto Santo Stefano Google Maps made us stop but in reality we had to go down to the first roundabout, leave the car there in the blue-striped parking lot (1.50€ per hour) right in front of the roundabout and then continue on foot on the road parallel to the high one where Google Maps made us stop, go through the tunnel and go down. The beach is beautiful, there is both a part with rocks and a sandy one, furthermore on the rocks there are lots of little marine animals including snails and crabs, the sea is crystal clear and very clean even in deep water you can see the seabed. To swim near the rocks, shoes are useful (even simple crocs).
Eva H — Google review
(Translated by Google) Beautiful beach near Porto di Santo Stefano, with a small beach club and a restaurant on the upper level. It's a shame there are only rocks and it's difficult to get into the water. Beach shoes are recommended.

Pizzeria Trattoria La Bersagliera is a must-visit for pizza and calzone lovers. The restaurant offers a fantastic giant calzone, particularly memorable when topped with homemade pesto. The casual atmosphere and service add to the overall experience. Guests have praised the bustling ambiance, delicious wood-fired pizzas, and great selection of beers and wines. The value for money is considered unbeatable, making it one of the best dining options in Orbetello.
Great people and great food. The house wine is great as well. You might not get a table if you don't make reservations.

The best pizza I've ever had. After finishing the first one, I ordered the same pizza a second time. Better than NY, Chicago and anywhere else in Italy. We've eaten at a lot of pizza spots in Italy with glowing reviews, this was miles better than any of them. Thinner crust, perfect crisp with amazing flavour. Try it. It's damn good. We got the Maremma 'Mpestata pizza... Twice.

We loved the bustling atmosphere, the amazing pizzas, the great selection of beers and wines as well as the best Crema Catalana we have ever had. The service was quick and attentive, every dish was honest and tasty and the value for money was unbeatable. Be sure to reserve a table, because this place is always packed, but when you get a chance to try their magic, I am sure, like us, you will not be disappointed.

The decor is so ugly that it's depressing - very uncomfortable seatings and neon lights that hurt your eyes and the place stank of sewage. The waitresses was nice but super slow. 20 mins between first course and second course. The food is okay (spaghetti was overcooked and tagliolini too salty) but pricey for the environment plus they allow dogs and we could not even hear ourselves talking among the barking. Horrendous experience for my birthday. Never again.

Trattoria Pizzeria La Lampara is a delightful gem nestled along the picturesque waterfront of Porto Ercole, where charm and authenticity come together to create an unforgettable dining experience. Excellent pizza, but seafood pasta was bit of a miss. Something like a spaghetti or linguine would have been better. Seafood was fresh. They gave my friend a candle for her birthday which was nice of them

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. As German tourists, we immediately felt unwelcome. The service was unfriendly and inattentive, and unlike all the Italian guests around us, we were not given any bread at the beginning – even though it is automatically charged. Only after asking twice and waiting again for a long time did we finally receive it. The food itself was far from convincing: small portions, poor quality, and certainly not worth the price. Overall, the atmosphere and the way we were treated made us feel uncomfortable. We would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone.

We went for dinner on a Sunday night, and the place was packed at 8:30 pm. My partner and I decided to wait — and it was totally worth it! Our amazing waiter Giordano went the extra mile and found us a table by 9:15 pm. We ordered two pizzas (Fake News and Marinara with Salamino piccante) and some great beers. While we waited, Giordano surprised us with bread made from pizza dough and local olive oil — such a nice touch! Honestly, Giordano is the kindest and most attentive waiter I’ve met in Italy. Giordano, you absolutely rock!

What an amazing find! A lovely restaurant with the best pizza we’ve ever had. Very friendly staff who stopped for a chat and told us all about their restaurant. The tiramisu was the highlight of the night. We’ve been travelling round Italy for a week and didn’t expect much from this stop but it has by far been the best so far! Best seafood I've ever had and some of the, probably the, best food I've ever had - it's not cheap but I felt it was great value. Perfectly cooked, phenomenal flavour and the homemade mayonnaise with sea urchin (came with the fried calamari) was a delight. Excellent awareness of coeliac requirements with the waiting staff knowing what the options are off-by-heart, they are incredibly accommodating and clearly take pride in their work. Their English is excellent too.

We loved this charming and authentic restaurant on the waterfront of Porto Ercole. We ordered two delicious pizzas - a margarita and vegetarian pizza with eggplant, peppers, and mushrooms. The dough was pillowy and chewy with the right amount of salt, the tomato sauce was exceptionally well balanced, and the vegetables were fresh from the market. The local olive oil they served was one of the best I’ve tasted, and the service was friendly and attentive. great experience overall.

Restaurant
Ristorante Domizia offers a unique dining experience with its creative pasta dishes and beautifully presented Tuscan cuisine. Located in a stylish venue overlooking the sea, this restaurant provides an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. The staff's understanding approach ensures that even young children are well taken care of, serving them delightful pasta al burro with plenty of Parmesan. The service is lovely and attentive, accommodating guests even past closing time.
the dinner was excellent! food was delicious and prepared with care. the octopus salad was simply perfect. large wine selection as well. service was great: everyone was friendly and service was up to the level of food.

Lovely and attentive service. Kitchen closed at 10pm yet they allowed us to relax and eat when we arrived at 10:20pm. Pasta was al dente with beetroot for colour & buffalo cheese & more

Lovely view during sunset and great food options! We love everything we ordered and they were displayed beautifully! Service wise can be warmer , charming and more attentive. Less stiff and cools .

I can only speak based on the breakfast buffet. There were too many options for sweets and not enough savoury, but a tasty selection nevertheless. They have good cheeses, cold cuts and that apricot jam was just like the one my nonna used to make. There are the same choices every day so it can get boring after a couple of days. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. The views are incredible!

Restaurant located in a great area with beautiful view. But service is very bad. They were rude when we wanted to choose a table in an EMPTY restaurant even though nothing was reserved (because we called to make a reservation but they said they don’t reserve a table, first come first served) Food was okay but nothing special. overpriced for what it is, paid €320 for 3 starters 2 salads 2 main and 3 deserts. If the service was better we probably would not be so upset about the rest. But the guy in black shirt was always saying “I come in a minute” and was serving everyone else, making us waiting for a least 10min for each request. Acting rude for whatever we ask.

Wondrously elegant and welcoming Deserving of the praise for the deliciousness of the offerings, what was also gratifying was the understanding manner in which the staff made sure that our 4-year old twins were accounted for - their wonderful pasta al burro came out rapidly, with heaps of Parmesan, ensuring that we could savor our delights while we bathed in the light of the setting sun. A delightful opening chapter to our first family visit to Porto Santo Stefano.

North side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the north side side of town. Start the day off with Fortezza Spagnola, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Spiaggetta Del Siluripedio Porto Santo Stefano. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

Public beach
Scenic spot
The village of Porto Santo Stefano in Grosseto, Italy, is renowned for its charming mountainous backdrop, creating an idyllic setting for sunbathing and swimming in the serene sea. The majority of the nearby beaches lie outside the village limits, necessitating travel to reach the finest ones. However, this also means that most of these beaches are natural and hold a special allure for many tourists who highly value them.
Very small but very nice little beach. Recommended.

Great for lunch, the terrace has a very nice view to the ocean. Our waitresses was an Argentinian lady, very nice plus she gave us really good tips for exploring Porto Santo Stefano. And basically the whole staff was very friendly. Our food was really good, gnocchi with seafood was super yummy! And my friend has the spicy pomodoro pasta (she claimed it was one of the best ones she tried during her trip in Italy) ** They do not have gluten free pasta but their menu is wide, for sure you will find plenty of more options.
Fernanda S — Google review
This is the seafood restaurant I've hoped to find for years. Everything we had at Lo Sfizio tonight was excellent, and it came with a very welcoming and unpretentious demeanor that was relaxed and enjoyable. The restaurant seemed to be filled with locals which is always a good sign and the staff was very friendly. We started with a large bruschetta and aubergine. The aubergine was very nicely cooked. I had a mixed seafood gnocchi and my wife had squid gnocchi and both were exceptional. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked and the seafood was fresh and generously portioned. I cannot compliment the sauce highly enough. It was perfectly seasoned, lightly spicy but perfectly balanced by the seafood. It truly was probably the best seafood gnocchi I've ever had. We also shared an order of the swordfish and tomato sauce. The owner recommended the French fries to go with it and we followed his suggestion and are so glad we did. The fries are a very unique blend of a thick American potato chip, combined with steak fries. The edges were perfectly crisp with a delicious soft French fry middle. It was amazing dipped in the swordfish sauce. The swordfish was also exceptional. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the sauce with black olives and capers was very nicely balanced with the fish. We also got desert despite being stuffed. The mascarpone mousse was amazing. My wife and I kept saying "this is so f&+$#ing good" to each other. I wrote this much because this is a restaurant not to be missed. It was exactly what I was hoping for, but so seldom find. A perfectly down to earth delicious, ocean-side restaurant with excellent prices and amazing food. I will go out of my way to come back here any time I'm traveling in Italy.

We had lunch here before catching the ferry to Isola del Giglio, and it was a great choice. It was a hot July day, 38 degrees, and sitting right by the sea with a breeze made all the difference. The location is slightly tucked away, and Google Maps directed us through Via del Molo, which had a no-entry sign. We ended up parking near Via Panoramica and luckily found a stairway that led us down to the restaurant. Later, the owner told us that the restriction doesn’t apply during lunchtime and that they even offer free parking for guests, which we wish we had known earlier. The food was excellent. My wife and her mother ordered seafood and were very impressed with the freshness and quality. My son and I are vegetarians and although options were limited, we found tasty dishes and were happy with our meals. The staff was friendly and the service was smooth, even in the midday heat. Definitely one of the better lunch experiences we’ve had in the area. Highly recommended.

Incredible food, incredible views, not to be missed! Very creative and artistic culinary experience. A special dinning experience with a unique terrace view. They have a great selection of seafood (but few vegetarian options). The fish is fresh and can be cooked in several ways according to your preference. We ordered a Spigola cooked under salt and it was fantastic. The salads, bread and sides were all of high quality and well made. The desserts were mouth watering specially their in house tiramisu and panna cotta. The waiters and waitress were so friendly and helpful with their recommendations; special thanks to Marco for helping us choose dishes, giving us tips for near-by beaches. Prices are a tad expensive, but again worth it for the fish quality and view and given that there aren’t many restaurants in the area.

Stunning view and high quality food, but way too chaotic service for such an high class restaurant. Half of our orders were forgotten or wrong dishes were served... Had to wait up to two hours for main courses while reminding several times what we ordered - they simply forgot. Staff is cute though 🙂! It's a great spot for those who prefer rocky beaches and is within walking distance from Porto Ercole. The beach club features a restaurant serving simple but good food, with daily pastas being the highlight. Visitors can also enjoy amenities such as showers and shuttle service to the parking area.
Great beach at walking distance from Porto Ercole. The restaurant offers simple but good food especially the daily pastas. Staff very kind. Shower and shuttle to parking above the steep stairs are are included in the daily fee. Only remark I have is that I Would like to see more Italian food and seasonal fruit in the menu. Not orange, pineapple and kiwi in august in Italy but peaches, prunes, melon etc. There are so many good thing in Italy. Let’s not import food and instead praise local and season sustainable food 🙏

A very down to earth place. Prices are reasonable at €40 for two sunbeds an umbrella and two shower tokens. These are for sunbeds on the grass vs. €30 on the actual beach. Say half a bar that's a first time sandwiches. The staff are extremely helpful and compassionate (always offering help as I am using a cane -recovering from an injury). The little bay is quite nice and the water is pretty shallow. They offe a safe for your valuables that locks wirelessly with a water proof bracelet - a very convenient touch. It fills up quickly so make sure you reserve. The parking is €10 for the day and there's a shuttle Van with a wonderful driver, who speaks fluent English. Excellent coffee!!

Nicely located beach with a fantastic view and easy access to the water thanks to a wooden boardwalk. Also great service at the bar that offers simple and tasty dishes for lunch. Unfortunately the beach itself is quite polluted with a lot of small plastic pieces in the sand. Paying 25€ for sunbeds i would expect the people working there to taking better care/ clean up.

Spiaggia Lunga is a compact beach located along the rocky coastline north of Piombino, just 12km from Poggio all'Agnello. It is known for its rustic ambiance, beautiful caletta, and sweeping views. The white pebble beach offers crystal clear waters similar to those found on nearby Elba Island. Visitors can rent umbrellas and sunbeds as well as enjoy water and fizzy drinks services on the beach.
Stunning beach. highly recommend coming early in the morning to find parking space along the road. Need to climb down to access rocky beach, recommend aqua shoes. d, they don't give fines in theory but there aren't many parking lots. Rocky beach here, I recommend rock shoes. We rent umbrella and sun loungers, many people also stay on the free beach. Beautiful crystal clear water.

Wonderful water but unfortunately way too much trash. Also not ideal for kids, It’s a 10 minutes “hike” the way to the Beach is pretty steep.
Giorgia V — Google review
This beach was just ok. Didn’t help that it wasn’t sunny when we arrived but overall too rocky and too many waves to be pleasant. Other better beaches around near Porto Stefano.
Cassandra W — Google review
Beautiful caletta and with amenities. We came here beginning of September and it was very quite, with crystal clear water. On the beach you can rent umbrella and sun beds for 15€ (pay in cash) and there is also service for water an fizzy drinks. I have also read that they were doing lunch service, but maybe only in the peak of the season. The trail is a bit hard on the way back, as it’s very steep, but there are steps and is easy to walk. My advise is just take it slow. I believe during season it can get very busy and a bit hard to find parking (as everywhere else in Argentario). Only minus is the boats parked 200m from the cost and the sun going behind the mountain around 5pm. Overall totally worthy!

The beach was privatized. We wanted to lay down between sunbeds on a big space and a guy came and told it's forbidden. The beach is dirty, so people who privatized, just illegaly put the sunbeds and dont offer any service. 1 star for the sea. A couple of years ago it was an empty free beach.
Anastasia B — Google review
Limited parking on the main road. The path to go down to the beach is a mix of steps and slopes, not too challenging, but that is obviously down to personal conditions. We have been down there with young children, so it was doable. The beach is all stones, with a mini kiosk that has some drinks and (I think) food brought from the town. We didn't order so not sure 100%. From them you can rent an umbrella and sun beds, as well as a kayak (€5/hour) or a pedaló (€10/hour).

Beautiful! Definitely a steep walk down and a hike back up so be prepared. Worth it for the private cove feel, clear cooler waters and pebble beach. Lunch is offered around noon too!

L'Acqua Dolce is a charming beach cove with pebbly sand, offering swimming and boating opportunities. Its name originates from the existence of seven small freshwater streams in the past, providing bathers with refreshing water. The beach features a mix of sandy areas and small pebbles, while its seabed contains submerged rocks. Visitors recommend arriving early to secure a good spot and enjoy the sun, as it sets behind the mountain around 5:30 pm in August.

Really good beach, with some wonderful views. The only thing is that you have to go down for around 10 minutes on a stone path. The beds are perfect, with good service.

Beach Le Cannelle is a secluded spot with an old Spanish tower and a laid-back atmosphere. Accessible via a long and winding road, it's about a 30-45 minute drive from the nearest town. The beach offers clear waters for snorkeling, with opportunities to observe marine life such as fish, corals, and other sea creatures. While the water can be rough at times, a short swim around the northern end of rocks leads to a calm bay teeming with fish.
Very nice beach, easy to reach. You can park on the right side of the street, then you will easily get to the beach in 5 minutes. ATTENTION: do not take the unpaved road which connects Porto Ercole to the beach, we suggest to take the one that passes through Porto Santo Stefano

Beautiful little beach on the other side of the peninsula. Quite out of the way, but worth it if you want to avoid the masses. The water can be a bit rough and not the clearest, but a quick 15 min sein around the northern end of rocks gets you to a beautiful calm bay with plenty of fish.

Parked on the road and walked down the lane and then gravel path past the Bar Tartuga. Swimming was lovely, although stoney - you will need swimming shoes. 'Beach' was all stones but you could rent an umbrella. Children saw fish and loved their time there.

I like so much this place.. so beautiful and relax while watching others to jump in the beach... some people enjoying scuba diving and you can see the beautiful creation, the rock form, the corals and plants, also the fishes and other sea creatures. don't forget to take the goggles for swimming because you miss the exciting part on this beach...

Experience the warm atmosphere of Tuscany at RED STAR, an espresso bar and pub where you can truly feel at home. Run by Roberto and his incredibly kind wife Giovanna, this family business offers a variety of delicious dishes such as spaghetti with tomato sauce or clams, along with hearty salads featuring tuna or mozzarella.
Feel at home in Tuscany! Roberto and his extra kind wife Giovanna have this touch for Spaghetti pomodoro or vongole or telline and huge Insalatone with tuna fish or mozzarella or fried potatoes and burger. Local wine or aperitivo surrounded by maremman humour in a 40 year old Bar where Monte Argentario residential artists passed by so long time ago.

That’s where I had my first beer after a full day diving! Nice pier bar to unwind after your dive or enjoy some drinks during the day! Nestled just a short 10-minute drive from the vibrant Porto Santo Stefano, Ristorante La Fontanina di San Pietro is a true hidden treasure. This charming eatery boasts a delightful summer terrace that offers breathtaking views of both the sea and rolling hills. The ambiance is perfect for any occasion, whether you're planning a romantic dinner, enjoying quality time with family, or sharing laughs with friends over delicious food. The culinary experience at La Fontanina exceeds all expectations.
Very quiet and intimate environment. The restaurant is run by a family for 3 generations. The meals are simple, but the quality is wow! The appetizer was simple, but the pasta dish was incredible and the fish of the day was showed to us fully baked with it's juices and potatoes before being cut for us. Desserts were fun and innovative. Would recommend!

Note that this is a high-end Restaurant so count the price to be little more than the usual osteria for a moderate portion. The service was fast and friendly and the food was amazing. The tiramisu sfera was the dessert of the day and it was soo delicious and super nice presented. We sat inside but the view from the terrace is really nice. Would definitely recommend.

Food so amazing we had to dine at this restaurant two nights in a row. It was definitely the best choice for our final meal in Italy before returning home. Two dishes to recommend: Risotto and Gragnano pasta. Risotto is light and fluffy, perfectly seasoned. The Gragnano pasta with raw Gambero shrimp is a must try, if not for the Gambero, then just for the pasta itself. The sauce is simply exquisite. Had to use up all the bread provided to not waste a lick of the sauce.

Enjoyed our meal so much that we returned again. Terraced outside dining area plenty of choice from tasty starters, homemade pasta, fresh fish and seafood and excellent steak and lamb. Wine list is varied and reasonable priced. Service is friendly and attentive. Fritto misto recommend with green salad and fried potatoes.

Such a great place! Beach is free, but you can rent sunbeds and sun shades from local staff. It is also possible to order meals and drinks direct to your sunbed. Water is ideal for snorkeling. Our kids loved it. At the top there is a free car park with little cafe. More than recommended.

One of the rare places u can actually get access to the sea. So peninsula Argentino means "place where the rich blocked all the access to the sea". If not with the boat dont bother visitng as its too much trouble for not such an amazing ambiance. And the overall feeling u get is quite frustratin as signs "divietato accesso" or wth are all over. And no, the fancy hotels are not that much better option

Beautiful beach, only rocks and turquoise water, requires around 20 minutes trekking from the last parking on the hill. Very much recommended to those who prefer rocks and stones over sand.
Sabina S — Google review
Excellent place. 400 meter walk down to the water. The water is extremely clear. But, you must wear some type of water shoes--there are many rocks and boulders. The bar will take care of your umbrella and chair--and even bring you lunch if you order it!

Not an easy drive. Free parking (limited space), a good walk on a natural sheady path, cosy stone beach ( not big). Very good for foshing and snorkeling. Beach chair service (5 euro), kanoe rent. Great view.

Wonderful view. Clear water. A bit difficult to reach and can only be done on foot. There are no rest areas nearby. A real natural paradise.
CHIARA P — Google review
Beautiful beach, but don’t follow the navigation until the end!! Maybe it’s because I’ve been there after the main season, but couldn’t find the official parking. The navigation showed to go trough this door where it’s painted on the concrerte the beache’s name, but it’s a private road, it leads to a dead end. Leave the car somewhere higher up, then walk down until the beach.
Barbara T — Google review
Rating it a 1 because could not go as the access is blocked (?) most beaches in Argentario are blocked by rich people as private access. How people can block public beaches is a wonder only found in Italy. How Italians like to suffer this in their own country and tourists as well is another mystery to be asked to the municipality and tourism department.

Cala Grande is one of the stunning beaches in Tuscany, located far from inhabited centers and accessible by long downhill paths. The journey may be tiring, but the breathtaking landscape at the end makes it worthwhile. The peninsula features beautiful beach coves like l'Isola Rossa, Punta Ciana, and Cala del Gesso. Visitors can also explore Giannutri and Giglio islands by renting a boat.
(Translated by Google) One of the most beautiful coves in the Argentario: breathtaking views and crystal clear waters, beach and sea mainly made of pebbles. Accessible both by sea and by land: you park along the panoramic road of Porto Santo Stefano and follow a semi-asphalted road and then a small path through the vegetation. Absolutely worth seeing. (Translated by Google) Beautiful cove, the entrance immediately after Cala Cacciarella, the entrance to the path is not signposted, you get there by intuition and by cars parked outside along the road. The path to get there is accessible to everyone and is very suggestive as it passes through a forest...... pebble beach, with various inlets, it is unacceptable that dinghies, yachts and boats stop about 10 meters from the beach.... there are rules and in Argentario they are not respected and there are no controls. Only check at Cala del Gesso after several calls from swimmers, the coast guard arrived and made the boats move away...... however, I repeat, I was very disappointed as a place, after 15 years of not going... .....Puglia, Calabria, Sicily, Sardinia deserve much more.

(Translated by Google) Simply terrible! We came for dinner on the 15th of August. The first courses were acceptable, but the fried foods seemed frozen. But that's not the point. The real problem was the extremely poor service. The waiters were in a state of confusion the entire evening: - Ignorance regarding the dishes served: when the waiters brought us what we ordered, they didn't know what it was; - Dishes brought to the wrong tables: we've seen plates brought to the wrong tables, and then, once set down, they're immediately taken away and taken to another table. The problem isn't the mistake, which can happen, but the repetition over and over again throughout the evening. - Unfulfilled requests: we asked for bread about five times and for an ashtray that we're still waiting for. - Incorrect bill: we were given the bill for the table next to ours. Luckily, one of us noticed, and we exchanged them. In conclusion, I can say that the experience was not positive, and I would strongly advise against eating at this restaurant. (Original) Semplicemente terribile!

(Translated by Google) Thrilling! Knowing that the remains of an art giant like Caravaggio are buried there is, however, a great emotion. It certainly could have been a less anonymous and more magnificent burial, but thinking back to its history, and its end in particular, it makes sense. A plaque with his history, some reproductions of his works on the bare surface behind him would perhaps have been more appropriate. It is easily accessed by following the signs for the "Caravaggio funerary ark", inside the cemetery area intended for the family chapels. From the gate turn left and then straight ahead. (Original) Emozionante! (Translated by Google) It's probably a hoax and the bones inside are not Caravaggio's but I come from Ravenna and inside the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia there is no Galla Placidia, inside the Mausoleum of Theodoric there is no Theodoric. Who cares, it's still a recognition of the greatness of the characters. Precisely for this reason Caravaggio deserves something more than a monument in a bare and barren corner of the cemetery, with no indication to find the tomb. For a great painter like he was, you can do better (Original) Probabilmente è una bufala e le ossa all'interno non sono di Caravaggio ma io vengo da Ravenna e all' interno del Mausoleo di Galla Placidia non c' è Galla Placidia, dentro il Mausoleo di Teodorico non c' è Teodorico. Had the most amazing walk with my boyfriend to this place, eagerly anticipating a day at this hidden gem of a beach with a restaurant next door. After the long trek, I politely asked the owner for a bottle of water. ”no, only for guests we are not a bar.” (Rolling his eyes) Ok, no problem, I thought—I’ll just have lunch then. “No, we are full at the restaurant!” (Pointing at restaurant) Surprised, I said, “Ok, shame. Your place looks very nice. I’ll just grab a bottle of aqua frizzante and sit at one of the beach chairs. Plenty of space there.” “No, we are full at the beach!” A bit confused, I sat down and had to Google if this was secretly a private club. Turns out, it’s a normal restaurant—and I enjoyed reading all the terrible reviews while I was at it.

It is all about the view and the sunset which are are amazing. Service is friendly and causal as it should be for a beach club restaurant. The portions are smaller than Eleven Madison Park and the pricing is higher than many other places.

We had a deeply unpleasant experience at this restaurant. Despite the place being nearly empty, we were told it was “fully booked” and asked to leave without any reasonable explanation. The host’s attitude was openly dismissive, bordering on hostile, and his behavior made it abundantly clear that we were unwelcome. As a group including women and visitors, it felt impossible to ignore the misogynistic and xenophobic tone of the interaction. The host seemed to go out of his way to make us feel uncomfortable, and it was one of the most unwelcoming encounters we’ve had while dining out.
Phoebe — Google review
Fine-dining prices, terrible service, and dishes that were so bad for the price we paid. An absolute rip-off. My friends and I ordered 4 plates of spaghetti with clams, we’ve waited 2 hours and half to receive them tho we had told them several times that we had waited for a long time. The owner was rude he didn’t even apologised, and with everything he made us pay 20 euros for service Never come to this place again

We absolutely loved our lunch at this place. Everything was perfect, both the food and the peaceful atmosphere directly by the sea. Highly recommend it and we’ll definitely be back

I had severe food poisoning from the restaurant. My husband found a hair in his food and they were so rude they told us they wouldn’t change the dish or take it out of the bill. Honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if the place closed down from lack of health and safety regulations. The staff and owner looked like they were high on cocaine, as they kept fighting amongst eachother and with the staff.

OMG if you're in this part of town, you have to must stop here and have dinner. It was so packed out for lunch. They ran out of mussels for my dinner. We had a beautiful gnocchi with Seabass. And a spaghetti marinara fresh with seafood. Let's be honest all seafood in Italy is amazing if cooked well. For such a small restaurant on such a small island this is a must try.

Small, charming, great location. Very relaxed atmosphere open to the beach. Expect slow service and enjoy the view. Take a dip on the beach outside. Gelato, beer, calamari all good. It was so nice to relax over lunch and listen to the samba music they were playing. I asked for a salad, not in the menu, and they were happy to make me one.

La Parannanza is a delightful gem nestled in the picturesque Porto Ercole, where authenticity meets simplicity. This charming eatery attracts a mix of locals and visitors alike, particularly those who appreciate hearty meals after a day of exploring the stunning Argentario peninsula. The atmosphere is unpretentious, allowing diners to enjoy fresh seafood dishes like spaghetti with clams and fried fish without any fuss.
Choose fresh and you won't be disappointed. This is charming, low key Italian food.

Real food for real people. Our dinner companions looked mostly like workers from the port. They expected good food, and it seems they've gotten it regularly. We opted for this place over the chic chic joints along the harbor, which we have dined at happily for the past two days, but this place was clean, unpretentious and the food was all fresh and wonderfully prepared. House bulk wine was good too.

(Translated by Google) Never again! I was fooled by the reviews I found online, all very positive. I'm sorry but I didn't find anything positive about it! The tavern is on the street, with plastic tables and paper tablecloths, but there's nothing wrong with it other than the food! We took a starter of mussels (10€) which was poor and the quality was very low, grilled fish (25€) included two prawns (hard, over cooked and certainly not fresh), two small calamari and a piece of octopus (it was inedible, overcooked and not very appetizing even to the eye) and the grilled prawns (same brothers as those on the grill). As a side dish, baked potatoes, raw, pale and full of oil. We didn't dare take dessert! Paid in cash (€65) without receipt! Would I recommend it? Absolutely not Would I go back? Absolutely not (Original) Mai più! Pagato in cash (65€) senza scontrino! Lo consiglierei? Assolutamente NO Ci tornerei? (Translated by Google) Disappointing experience, I wouldn't recommend it. We went to this restaurant for lunch, and unfortunately, it wasn't good at all. The appetizers were truly poor, poorly prepared, and lacking in variety. The first courses were flavorless: some were completely bland, others simply full of oil and with very few ingredients. One of the second courses we tried was the only passable one, but overall the quality of the food was very poor. In particular, one eggplant dish was so bad that we left almost all of it on our plate. Honestly, for what we ate, the price was exorbitant. The value for money is truly terrible. I wouldn't go back, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Tuscany Bay Beach is a true hidden gem with exceptional service and a warm welcome from Gianni. The exquisite restaurant offers gorgeous plates and familiar yet discreet service, making it perfect for spending the day or evening. It's considered one of the best places to experience on the coast, offering high-quality food that matches its price. While the drinks are pricey, the atmosphere is very pleasant. Visitors highly recommend this top beach club and restaurant as it's known as the best beach in Giannella.

This place used to be one of my favourite. The location is great, the view is beautiful and the sunset amanzing. The food is also good. I don't mind the prices as long as I eat well and I am treated right. Unfortunately, the last booking made me change my mind and really left me dissapointed. We booked a table of 6 in advance but when we arrived we've been told they cannot find us on the list, the put us at a table at the back (they told us all the other empty tables near the windows were reserved). We stayed for 2 hours and the table was still empty, so we couldn't enjoy the view. Furthermore, the aircon was dripping on the table and one of the person had water on the plate, fork, everywhere. They did not offer to change the table even if we told them about the issue. They just swittched off the air con. The glasses were full of dust. I mean I understand is on the beach but this is not the cheapest place or a corner shop. This is a luxury beach so expectations are high, as advertised.

You're a Tourist ? Yeah, well do not go there. Our story: after having lunch at the restaurant we decided to go for a swim. Not only could we not use the empty sunbeds (we were asked to pay 150€) but when we left our stuff on the beach in front of the bar, we discovered it was not allowed either (the guy waiter for 30 mins next to them to "catch us bad bandit"). So we then decided to go to the bar grab a bier but again NO ! we had to fully dress in order to enjoy a drink because we did no pay for sunbed (???). Conclusion: Avoid this place at all cost, the people there are just trying to make you pay for anything you would do (oh yeah, you need to pay for the parking as well because spending 300€ on a lunch is not enough it seems, you little fish! - but they will tell you it is not the same business. Nope, they have the same uniform but it is not the same business).
Aymeric E — Google review
Terrible Experience Although we arrived around two pm, the host wanted to charge us 70 Euro for two beds and a beach umbrella. Only when we’d balked at this and had walked off, she came charging after us and suggested 30 Euro instead. Both tired from the journey and hot, we took the offer, only to find that we could only choose the beds in the third row from the sea-line, even though there were many still available. The water was dirty and warm, and the staff overall arrogant. We didn’t feel welcome at all. Throughout the day, workers were busy unearthing a pipeline, and if you were to use the toilet and/or shower, one had to plough through the mud. If you want a really good Italian beach experience, I’d suggest you go to Castiglione instead, and seek out beach dive Somalia.

La Cacciarella is a secluded and rocky cove in Tuscany, accessible by hiking or boat. It's a popular spot for swimming and snorkeling with amazingly clear water. The journey to reach this hidden beach can be tiring due to the long downhill paths, but the breathtaking landscape at the end makes it worth it. While the access route offers stunning views, the terrain can be challenging, especially in hot weather.
Lovely hidden beach with amazingly clear water, nice spot for snorkeling. The acces route is very nice with many stunning views, but the terrain is quite hard and in combination with hot weather and blazing sun it could be a challenge for untrained people. We made it with kids (5 and 6 years) and they managed, but were complaining all the time :-)
Jitka S — Google review
Went here without any plans and thought it would be a good hike and probably a swim as well. But nope, you have to hike the road; you need to be mindful of the incoming cars as there's no pavement to walk on. Once we got there, the view was really nice but that was it for us. In order to get there, you had to go thru bushes, wild shrubs, uneven rocks; it was rated as level 3 dangerous hike. Sad that the place needs a bit more development, like at least take care of the barbed wires, can definitely get into an accident going there.
Arjale D — Google review
Amazing little beach! The hike to get there takes around 10 minutes and, while it's a bit steep, it's absolutely worth it. It’s definitely manageable but just make sure to wear good shoes.

Small beach with rocks and pebbles. Due to the size of the beach it feels crowded really quick. The beach itself is nice, but not really extraordinary. Biggest downside is the road to the beach. Quite rocky and steep, best to wear proper footwear. I think there are better places to stop.

The Palio Marinaro Argentario is a lively carnival that brings together the Santo Stefanesi people in a cheerful parade of the districts. This event combines history and dedication, with four districts - Fortezza, Croce, Valle, and Pilarella - participating in the festivities. The highlight of the celebration is the maritime palio on the "guzzi," traditional rowing boats of Argentario fishermen.

It is the longest rowing race in Europe, 4 kilometers which develop at the turning points in the Turchese Arena, in front of Piazza dei Rioni. Travel times are on average between 25 and 30 minutes and require the rowers to use a lot of energy. The Palio dell'Assunta takes place on August 15th and the start of the race is marked by a rifle shot at sunset, around 7.30pm.

4.3
(60)
Cala del Bove is a secluded and tranquil cove located along the Panoramic Road, offering stunning views of the surrounding bays and cliffs. Accessible via a 700-meter walk from Cala del Gesso, this hidden gem features a magnificent smoothed cliff where visitors can comfortably relax. With limited flat space and a somewhat concealed, steep path, it remains uncrowded even during peak hours, making it an ideal spot for those seeking peace and quiet.
(Translated by Google) If you love the sea and being in clear water you cannot miss seeing this wonder of nature. Just reach it properly equipped, equipped with rock shoes, mask or at least goggles, fins, umbrella, sufficient water and something to eat. The rest is done by the nature of the place. It is better to avoid weekend days and in July and August, especially if you don't want to hear too much noise, avoiding overcrowding that clashes with the wild beauty of the places. Must try.

(Translated by Google) Nice place but quite wild. There is no beach and arriving in flip flops is completely not recommended. Sneakers or trekking shoes for going down and then I recommend rock shoes for swimming. Beautiful water but there are no flat or comfortable parts for sunbathing. Suitable for those who love the slightly uncomfortable outdoors.

(Translated by Google) To reach it you have to look for CALA DEL GESSO and when you find yourself in the entrance to reach this cove continue straight until you see a sort of small square with a barrier on the right. Park along the road and then walk down the hill that starts from the small square. It's about a 15 minute walk. The cove is all rock, so if you want to be comfortable I don't recommend it, but if you like swimming, diving and seeing lots of fish it's perfect. From the start the water is about 7 meters deep, if you deviate further in some points it even reaches almost 20. I recommend that you watch the winds, which must be very light at most, otherwise it is impossible and dangerous to enter and exit the waterfall.

Beautiful water!!!! Look at my photos. The cove is practically all rocks and there is only one fairly comfortable place to place umbrellas and other things. Therefore not recommended for families with children in tow also due to the fact that the water is immediately high.

(Translated by Google) Excellent for snorkeling and freediving, the discomfort out of the water is secondary. If you arrive by car, the drive to get there is quite long, which is why it's rarely visited (natural selection).

Pizza restaurant
La Regina di Napoli 2.0 is a charming restaurant with a lovely enclosed glass garden that offers a picturesque view of the harbor. The staff is friendly and accommodating, providing excellent white linen service. The menu features delicious food, especially pizza and pasta, accompanied by a good selection of wines. While the service may not be very quick, the overall experience is enjoyable and reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the area.
Lovely humans here . Sauvignon Blanc well chilled. New York quick service ...which is what I love ! Seafood very fresh.

Ah, what a delight it was to dine at La Regina where the hospitality is as warm and inviting as a Siberian winter. We had the absolute pleasure of being served by a waitress whose rudeness was only matched by her complete lack of interest in making us feel welcome. Our evening began with the simple, perhaps naïve, desire to order some Aperol Spritzes, which, according to the menu, were indeed offered. However, we were quickly educated on our mistake. “We’re not a bar,” we were informed, with a tone that suggested we’d just asked for the holy grail rather than a common cocktail with two parts. It turns out, the experience didn’t stop there. When more of our party arrived, they made the grave error of attempting to order white wine spritzers and gin and tonics. Naturally, they were swiftly corrected with the same charming grace we’d experienced. They were offered wine instead—how generous—except that after a good long while of no wine or glasses, we all began to wonder if perhaps the grapes were being stomped in the back. Now, you might think that being a large group, we would at least be treated with a hint of accommodation. Silly you! While the rest of the restaurant was far from bustling, we were given the cold shoulder with all the abruptness of a drill sergeant who had missed their morning coffee. Any semblance of friendliness was as absent as the drinks we ordered. And the food? Well, it was...fine. The pizza was surprisingly decent, a rare bright spot in an otherwise dim dining experience. The pastas, however, were clearly a chef’s afterthought—probably whipped up during one of the many breaks between being served with a scowl. Normally, I'm not one to nitpick or criticize the hard work of others—I understand that everyone can have an off day. However, the experience at La Regina was so uniquely unpleasant that it simply can't go unmentioned. It's not about expecting perfection, but when the service actively detracts from the meal, it deserves to be noted. After all, diners should leave with full stomachs, not thick skins. In conclusion, if you enjoy being spoken to like a misbehaving child and love the thrill of waiting for drinks that may never arrive, La Regina is the place for you! For the rest of us, I’d recommend taking your appetite—and your sense of self-worth—elsewhere. Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Wasn’t very impressed with the quality of pizza here. Both our pizzas were overdone on the crust but the problem was the base. It was very thin which is a little more normal in this area of Italy but the issue was the weak consistency. It was oily and undercooked in the middle. The toppings slid off, making eating quite difficult. The flavour was blander than other pizzas I’ve eaten around Italy but the price was ok and service was fine.

There are very few restaurants in this part of the town and they are very busy during lunchtime. It is hard to find a place. We had to wait to get a table and they were quite slow but still kind with us. The food was under average but the service was fast after we had the place. Not much to choose in the town so rather eat in an other town. They have pizza only for dinner.

Fabulous: Although not formally open until 7:30 pm, the chef took pity on us and welcomed we three early-eating Americans to enter around 6 PM. We received delicious food and excellent whie linen service in a lovely enclosed glass garden overlooking the harbor, and all at a reasonable price! We hope to visit again before we leave.

Not bad but nothing like American pizza. Limited on toppings but tasted good. But hey when your in Italy why would there be American style pizza right? It's worth the money.

Seafood restaurant
Dal Greco is a charming restaurant in Porto Santo Stefano that offers a delightful dining experience with a focus on Campanian seafood cuisine. The menu features dishes like pici with lobster, octopus with friggitelli, tartare, fried delicacies, and baked fish. The portions are generous and the service is casual yet attentive. While the wine list is small, it offers satisfying choices.
Lovely restaurant, great seafood and they opened up early to serve us which is superb customer service

The service is very slow it took them 1h15 to bring us dishes. My pastas were good linguine seafood. They have no food for children so we ordered a steak which did not come cooked as requested so we had to send it back side potatoes were not cooked. A bad expensive experience for us.

The bread was undercooked, our orders were wrong, and one main dish arrived an hour late—after the rest of us had finished eating. When we politely raised this, the owner literally yelled at us! In short: Poor service, poor food, and completely unprofessional behavior. Not worth the price or the stress.

Restaurant
Trattoria dei Frati is a cozy taverna with exposed stone walls, offering handmade pasta and Maremma-style meat and wild game dishes. The atmosphere is convivial and relaxed, with a rustic style featuring wooden furnishings. The menu features authentic Tuscan cuisine, including succulent game meats and delicious homemade pastas. The trattoria prides itself on sourcing fresh ingredients from local markets and farms.
My family (6 Americans) ate at Trattoria Dai Frati for lunch and had an amazing time. The view is incredible, and the food delicious and memorable. The house wine was terrific! Service also was good, we felt well taken care of.

I would give it very good 4.5 stars. The location is beautiful, visually the most appealing and also the coziest restaurant compared to those along the coastal road or in Porto Santo Stefano. It’s slightly elevated but still within walking distance. We were able to get a table spontaneously. The food was outstanding: the Pappa al Pomodoro as a starter was delicious, and the Cappelletti al Carbonaio was excellent as well! The only minor downside was the service, unfortunately, which felt not very welcoming and a bit rushed...

Good comfort food at reasonable prices for the area. Due to popularity of the place, could get only an indoor seat on walk-in at opening time, but definitely worth reserving and trying more dishes
Sandiip S — Google review
I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I ate at this restaurant 2 times in one week; once during the week and once on a Saturday. My recommendation is don’t go in the weekend and ask for a table on the ground floor or in the veranda not upstairs: too crowded not comfortable chairs or table. First visit: amazing service, the waiter with round glasses provided an excellent service and the food was amazing: antipasto crostini toscani, crostini con lardo, primo piatto pappardelle al cinghiale, secondo piatto grigliata mista, dolce mousse cioccolato bianco con arachidi e caramello salato. Very good local beer. Second visit: sloppy service, no attention to customers, the waiter ( tall guy) did not change the cutlery and let my friend eat the main course with the same knife he used for antipasto. We were told we could not order less than a certain amount of meat and that a dessert was available when it was not. Food was average: the cut of the meat was not tender, the pate’ of liver crostini toscani was not tasty as the previous time and was not fine there were super big chunks of liver ama the flavor overall not good. Ravioli maremmani con ragù were dry and the filling was disappointing. Suggestion: keep the service and the quality consistent.

Must-try for an authentic Tuscan meal. We had a large group for dinner so were able to try many of the items on the menu, none of which could disappoint. Very flavourful meat cooked (or not cooked for raw!) to perfection. Great selection of starters, pastas and mains all for a very reasonable price in a cozy Italian setting. Many locals inside as well which is a good sign. Definitely make a reservation!

Great meal here tonight. We’ve been in PSS for two nights. If you don’t like fish you are in a bad way, unless you find this place. It’s quite a hike up, but the walk down is easier. We wanted pasta, without fish. We got it. Cacio&pepe and ravioli with a delicious bolognese ragu, plus a fresh mixed salad and sautéed vegetables. Add to that a pleasant carafe of Sangiovese and we were all set. they also have meat dishes if you want a big meal.

Very cosy atmosphere, with nice vintage interior and clean service. Helpful staff, very good prices, this place is ten times better than what you can find by the port. The only issue we've had is parking, as there are not many parking spots around, so we've spent some time on looking for one.

Hidden gem! Husband and wife team who source the freshest fish for the menu. My personal faves are the totani and nasello dishes. Simple dishes executed to perfection. Triglie may not be suitable for kids as there are quite a lot of bones, but otherwise it tastes good as well.

Tucked away up a side street away from the town centre but well worth a visit. Traditional husband and wife run Trattoria, fresh, tasty and great value, fish is as fresh as it can be, pasta is homemade, Veal cutlet tender and perfectly cooked. House wines served by the glass, 1/2 lt and lt. Outside seating available but you will need to book in advance.

Don't let the extended walk or non tourist address put you off, the food and the service are wonderful. We had a beautiful three course meal with wine and loved every moment of the authentic family style service. The owner chooses his fish from the market just the night before, and the menu then follows. Wonderful place, wonderful authentic Italian food, and lovely service. Go!! Enjoy!!

Emailed at noon for a reservation. Get there at 7:45, nothing available and to come back at 9:30, doesn’t check his email. Come back at 9:30, get a table right away. Over 10 tables are full and only one gentleman serving/doing bills/cleaning tables. Definitely need another person to help. Had two seafood pasta dishes, nothing impressive. Very hot inside restaurant, sweating while eating the meals. Although good portions and good prices.
