My personal experience is very positive about this "shopping street" in Flensburg, as you don't need to visit a lot of other shops to buy your everyday goods and food. I would also love to visit the interior design and accessories store there, if one would be available.

This is a massive car park for motorhomes all parked along side each other, 99 units when we stayed. Its OK for an overnight, free parking, water €1/100 litres, drive over grey & septic disposal. Its outside the shopping centre so cars take spaces, but they tend to be gone by 6.00pm. Good for an overnight stop when crossing the border.

Good size shopping center. Prices are not very low and the food court is quite small with limited seat places.

Wonderful Christmas spirit. Singing angels, photography opportunity, a Santa Claus, some stores give out chocolate with the purchase. The Christmas decorations were very cute and parking is free (but be there in good time because it will be stuffed). Even had the opportunity for a glutenfree meal, but gor symptoms still so not for celiacs. Still, it's better than nothing.

Lots of good stores, and Citti Park supermarket has everything you could want, a great selection of fresh meats, cheeses and fish. The shopping mall also has a variety of small restaurants/cafes. We always look forward to our trip there every few weeks. Also plenty of parking outdoors and in.

The food i bought I have nothing to complain about, but even it was 5am on a Wednesday morning this was the most dirty and messed up McDonalds I have ever seen in my whole life

Massive center, with lots of different stores. The toilets was not very clean.

It was a wonderful experience. We went on a corporate outing and the people working were very polite and had great sense of humor. Also, the tasks were fun to do.

Great games. Not the very hardest, but still difficult and a lot of fun.

Located in a peaceful square, it's a poignant reminder of the region's past conflicts and the enduring hope for unity.

Peaceful park with the historical Lion statute and a graveyard next to it. The history of Istedloven (The Lion statute) tells a lot about bitter and then peaceful relationships between Germany and Denmark. Today, the statute represents the current friendship between these two countries.

Went there because thought free overnight parking but none at all. You have to pay and two hour max.

An amazing place in two buildings with great collections and exhibitions. History, Ethnography, Natural history, Art, Modern Art... You need at least 3 hours to see everything.

There's a lot of things to see here. The third floor is filled with items from the Barokk times, and also parts of the second floor. The first floor has a lot of items on display from the wild. It's worth visiting.

Great museum! If you are a student the entrance price is 3€ but if you want to go to this museum plus the one in the harbour you can pay 4€ and go any time in the next 3 months 😊 The exhibitions are great and I think you can see everything in one hour, maybe a bit more.

The museums have a fairly large collection. Very nice for a day trip!

All the foods was good, but all of the machines was out of recipes, 1 machine out of order. Than it is too annoying

The worst one I've been to, the french fries were cold, the sandwich didn't have the ingredients that I ordered, we were two and we ordered separately, they put spicy sauce I've ordered in my friend's tray and his ketchup in my tray. Basically nothing was correct.

This McD has great service, excellent and nice personnel, and the hot food is pretty much always hot (definitely hotter than lukewarm!), and the cold stuff is never melted. No wonder this place is often busy!

Fine burger, fries could be crisper. Quick and pleasant service. Clean and nice looking room. Ok parking. If there are more than one car ordering drive away it’s not possible to get out for other cars driving away.

For a fast food restaurant it was disappointing. I had to wait 15 minutes on a cappuccino with a muffin while it was not very busy. It seemed they had things not under control, because managers where acting like they didn't had any overview. I thought they had the organisation in control in Germany, but it seems they didn't. Next time I go somewhere else.

The pumpkin spice latte doesn't taste like pumpkin spice at all, no hint of cinnamon or pumpkin. Really disappointed in that. The atmosphere is nice though. Would still prefer the American mc Donald's breakfast over the German one, although the German is by far more healthy but tastes to the equivalent of cardboard. All in all, it's decent. It will fill you in the go.

The beef was wonderful. I ordered "blue" and received blue. They have escargot, which is surprising as we're so far north in Germany. This basement restaurant is a comfortable little place, however... A salad buffet. Don't judge a book by its cover. For a restaurant with a buffet, they have good food. I choked on my drink, and was immediately served a water. That should tell you how the staff are like. It almost feels overstaffed? Accommodation was frighteningly fast. (The menu is a little flashy, even for my taste. Describing the different cuts of beef word-for-word as stated on it's respective Wikipedia page is a bit... Distasteful?)

Porterhouse im Gnomenkeller is a nice restaurant with a vaulted ceiling painted to give the impression that it is made of bricks. The walls and ceilings feature paintings and attractive designs. There's a date, 1586, painted on the wall. According to the waiter, the building dates back to that year. The quality of the food is good, and the service is quite satisfactory. I had Scholle, a type of flatfish, for 27.50 EUR, and a small beer (0.31 L) for 5.00 EUR, bringing the total to 32.50 EUR. At the bottom of the receipt, it states, “Tip is not included.” I paid with a card, and the waiter brought to my attention four large squares on the screen of the card reader where I could choose a tip in addition to 32.50 EUR. If I chose the first square, a 5% tip would be included. If I chose the subsequent squares, the tip would increase by 10%, 15%, etc. At the bottom, in small text, was “No tip.” When I chose “no tip,” the waiter continued to be kind, friendly, and professional. However, I’m quite sure many people would find being asked to consider giving a tip to be highly intimidating. It is not my responsibility to subsidize the restaurant employees' salaries. People working in restaurants in Germany are generally well-paid.

This place has a very unique atmosphere because of the arched ceiling with different gnomes painted on it. The food os very delicious and the service is top notch. We'll definitely be back. A piece of advice, if you order and XXL steak be aware that you can ask for 2 x 200 that way the last bit won't be too dry.

don't order their béarnaise sauce here. they get 2 stars. 1 for the place, it's super cozy and 1 for the steak, it was nicely tender. back to the bearnaise sauce it had no taste of bearnaise at all. when they ask and we are satisfied with the food, we mention the béarnaise sauce is inedible, they respond with a no. another waiter asks about the pond when we finish eating. we say the same and feed the waiter ril to taste. the waiter answers yes yes and we hear no more. their salad was just limited and with wrinkled tomatoes because they had been there too long. a very disappointing experience. the place does not get a recommendation from me.

This place is great. Take no mistake. The restaurant has great atmosphere, the service is wonderful and the food and vine is great. We had a plate with 3 different kind of meat from grill and a pepper steak, ummmm just great. We waited only 10 minutes. I would have waited much longer with no problem because I had a 0,5 ltr of the house vine a d it tastit great. They have a long list of house vine and it has a great price. The service was excellent. If you have the chance, take it. If I should complain about anything, it would be about finding the place. It was not easy.

Nice and cosy restaurant at the end of a small old fashion alley. The menu mainly offers a selection of flammkuchen, but these are also well made and quite delicious. Good selection among beers, cocktails, and coffee. Very charming atmosphere, with a hint of ancient times. The restaurant do not take reservations, but if there is a short wait, have a beer and relax on the seats outside, while gazing through the deliteful menu options. Great service, highly recommended.

If only rated on this - it would be five stars and not three. But… The place was busy (which is a good sign), and of course they kept on taking people in. However it took ages for the food to arrive. 45 minutes after we ordered it. A very long wait, especially because the premises were extremely cold to sit in. Heard several people talking about it too, so we were not the only non-penguins in there. A shame for such an, otherwise, lovely place.

We ordered shrimp and fish soup for a starter which were delicious. For the second course we ordered a steak which was also of a high standard and fish which unfortunately was not fresh (spoiled). The waiters behaved very well (the fish was not added to the bill). However, the chef's behavior was out of place because he tried to convince me that it was a certain type of fish and that it smelled specific, although he wanted to make a new dish for me. The fish dishes look better than they taste. I was disappointed. It looked good, but was a bit bland. The Salzkartoffelen had no salt whatsoever added. I would have liked some kind of sauce, as it all became a bit dry after a few bites. Wine was good. It seems a fancier place than it actually is.

The food was delicious, the service was friendly, definitely the best dining experience in town for us. - I ordered the Labskaus, a local delicacy, and man....was that gross. Not that they made it wrong, I think that dish is just not my taste at all. The fish soup made up for it though. All in all we paid $160 for two including drinks and tip. Not cheap, but we found it to be OK for what they offered.

It's a nice place to sit and chill or even find cheap clothes. A positive point about it is there is very international. There are many flags hanging and also, you can find very different things from a lot of different cultures, since things to foods. Also, many other langugues speakers than only Germans speaker.

Basically all employees there are rude and don't want to help you at all. The service quality is awful, they don't make a move to try to help you, even when it is they work to do.

Big exhibition in three houses, lot of interesting objects and facts, specially about rum :) You can also buy samples of rum in museum shop and take a rest in small caffe bar. Unfortunately no labels in English :(

The "Sugar-Rum-Slavery" section is truly splendid. I had tears in my eyes while watching the video. It was a few years ago, so I am not sure if the exhibition has the same shape. But the museum is high class no matter which section.

Very interesting local history museum, recounting how Flensburg grew with trade including the Rum & Sugar trades with the Caribbean, and how slavery was in the picture. There is a very entertaining 20 minute movie (also narrated in English), which really is interesting and well presented, as well as the static displays showing, for instance, how the town has grown over the centuries. Note that the entrance fee is €8, but for an extra €2 you can get a ticket which also gets you into the 3 Museumsburgs exhibits (History, Natural History and Art) a bit further downtown, also well worth visiting 👍

€1 entry per person. Small partly outdoor museum with some very old and historic ships/ ship parts. It's not very well kept and doesn't look like a museum (with less information boards and organisation). However, for a euro, it's worth the visit.

There is a little cafe hosted by the Phenomenta called Cafe Lights out (licht los). It's run entirely by blind people. The whole upper parts is dark, so you can't see, just like the blind people. It's an experience and the cake there is amazing. It's really worth going at least once! The down side is that it has a pretty long line sometimes to get into the cafe. So bring time when you go!

Some might say, once you cross this gate, your stepping into the real north. For me it's like stepping from the shopping wonderland of Flensburg Downtown, into the other Flensburg, where you can find a huge variety of Flensburgers from all over the world. If you are just here for tourism, this would be the place to start our end your little walk around the centre of Flensburg.

Amazing Backfisch sandwich. The customer service was amazing—the gentlemen took extra care to explain the menu in English with a smile on his face. Ben’s Fischhütte is one of those places that has a lot of hype. It’s literally just a small shack on the harbour in Flensburg, and the line was huge when we were there. The food is good, no doubt, but not without flaws. The bread was toasted so much it was almost cutting up my mouth. I had one with fried fish and remoulade, and while the fish itself was nice, it needed way more salt. The other one I tried was fine, but nothing that really stuck with me. Service was a bit slow. The staff were joking around and having fun with people in line, which is of course nice, but when the queue is that long you just want them to move faster and get the food out. The location is beautiful, right on the harbour, and it’s worth a visit for the experience. But for me it’s more about the novelty than the food itself.

Best Fischbrötchen everrrr. For sure worth the wait. We tried 6 different fish breads and they were all so delicious that it inspired my dad to make this pose. Also the guy working the counter was so kind and explained to us about each fish.

Backfische (fried whitefish?) Whatever it was, it was divine! Bread was fresh, crispy exterior, and soft inside. Large portion of fish, sauce, lettuce and pickle. YUM! Gent working feverishly to serve the masses was efficient, yet very kind. What a find! There are benches along the water to enjoy in the fresh air.

Another fish shop sandwiches. Or as the German’s say “FischBrötchen” fish bread rolls. The ingredients are fresh and really tasty. They have local beer and also other beverages. The staff are really nice. And about the environment. You will love it. See the pictures down 👇🏼 So I really recommend this place! Note: the price I put was for two people! The prices are good for what you get.

The ambience, service, food and wine was really, really good! Prices are reasonable. You need 3-4 dishes per person, I would say. The desserts were a bit disappointing compared to the savoury dishes, unfortunately. The flavours weren't as sharp and well-thought out. So, if I was to go again, I would skip the dessert and eat more of the other dishes.

We had a great evening at the Hafenküche. The staff is attentive and super friendly. Regarding the food, it is on the pricier side, especially for Germany I feel like, but I think it is worth it. There are options for everyone (meat, fish, vegetarian, vegan), with very creative flavour association. The starters (tatar & gyozas) were a bit too salty, but the main dishes were stellar, and the dessert was so interesting, with aubergine in it! Thank you :)

Amazing restaurant, great explaination and experience. Food feels creative and tasteful. Can be a bit on the salty side for some people. Menu changed during our meal 3 times as it seemed that some meats or fishes ran out.

Me and my fellowship was staying in the rooms upstairs of the restaurant for the night and decided for a quick visit to eat and leave the next day. With the great atmosphere welcoming us we got our table from the charismatic and nice staff we got our table. Started with the “Schaufflstück” and we were hooked, incredible piece of meat with the then risky choice of carrot cream (it was also incredible). Combine that with the solid choice of their homebrew, chefs kiss. Next up, “Merguez meat ball”. I was not the greatest fan of the cheese but with the melon salad hitting its sweet spot at the back the line of tastes I was sold. It struck me then that I was sad that I maybe never return. End the night with a 8 year old Barbados rum that had already been in 3 caskets and stored in the fourth at the restaurant. I went upstairs and slept well. Incredible workflow, great cooperation from all the staff. Cheers to the staff who had a friend who had a summer place south of Gothenburg. “It’s raw pork … it will not kill you!”

The price on their website was not the same with the one at the restaurant . Website said 18 and it was actually 24 euro for the buffet. Was there 18 february and it was super cold inside . We had to wear our jackets when eating. And also the don't serve the complimentary cocktail any more. But despite all that the food is still very good.

I liked the food here. It's a buffet restaurant, with limted vegetarian options. I suggest you book a table, otherwise in busy times you might not find a seat.

Bland food, dirty, overpriced and uprofessionel staff. What happened to this place? It used to be one of my favorite places. Now its an empty shell of its former self. The food was so bland and the place so dirty and cold i just wanted to get out of there rather then enjoying an evening out. And the waiter seriously got annoyed and angry because we wanted to pay with visa/mastercard because their payment processing machine didnt work. How is that our fault? What is this? 2005? So we just payed cash and got out of that terrible place.

For a second the entrance seems like you go the wrong way but keep going, you're right. You are getting welcomed right away, they even find seamless solutions for more than 7 people but you better reserve in that case. In the evenings people mostly take the all you can eat buffet for 13,50 € which offers pretty much everything you need. Also vegetarians are very welcome here, they even change meat for tofu in meals you might like. In my case the tofu was deep fried and fatty, I'd prefer a quick roast in a pan and that would have also decreased my rating by 1 star but in the end I got a free vitamin booster that was really refreshing so that helped me to keep that star ;) I'd recommend this place cause it's cheap and the team works nicely. To the management: Keep the good work up and try to make veggie meals less fatty. Thx

Fantastic restaurant! The staff are all extremely friendly, and the food is tasty and reasonably priced. For the staff alone I had to leave a good review, they clearly enjoyed their work and it showed in the service. Would visit again!

The food wasn't anything special - Taste was bland and nothing exciting. We ordered 3 steaks medium and one medium rare. The three steaks where rare and the last was well done. Luckily they have a lovely staff that redeemed the kitchen's mistakes. Very friendly and super helpful.

Great place for all ages, very mind-stimulating and fun. It could be really nice is it was a place in the museum where we could find the right solutions/answers to the questions. We spent a bit more than two hours, but it could be more if we tried every single exhibit. There is a cafe one level up, which sells pastries, coffee and a large variety of soft drinks jouce.

Absolutely loads of experiments and interactive elements spread out over 4 floors. Some more detailed instructions of what you need to do and explanations of the outcomes would have been very helpful. Many things were self explanatory for adults but .y little kids were often confused about what they needed to do or what the point of that particular experiment was. Nevertheless they had a great time trying everything out for a few hours! Parking was 8,40€ for 4 hours which I found shocking. If possible look for alternative cheaper/free car parks than the designated Phenomenta one.

Incredible location for very little money.. Great for kids, even our three year old loved it, but even better for older kids to learn physics and concepts. We used 2 hours, but had to hurry through the last couple of exhibits.

Fun science museum with a lot of hands-on activities. It is clearly designed for school-age children, not much for little ones. When crowded, it is hard to get to do all of the activities.

Great stuff, lots of things to do on practical machines that show simple physics. Kids will enjoy this. Only getting a ticket is a pain since you have to calculate at least half an hour for standing in line to the single open ticket counter. we wanted to go sunday, but there was over an hour of waiting time, so we came back on tuesday to stand in line for over half an hour.

Brilliant museum! Most of the installations are easy and impressive. The kids need very little guidance and mostly run around absorbing cool impressions. One idea excited me most: just a box with sand which is colored topographically by a beamer 🤩

Been there for Christmas Concert of Bach Choir - very good choir and director, splendid soloists, a high level of professionalism and artistry. My seat was a hardbacked chair which was a bit tough for 90 minutes. Seats on the benches were certainly better. The church's inside is fabulous, the atmosphere was gorgeous.

This church is the biggest church in the centre of Flensburg. A letter from the danish bishop Tycho von Aarhus has mentioned the church in the year 1284 for the first time . He stated in this letter that the inhabitants had started to build the church in a gothic style. In the following centuries 3 new "rooms" where added to the exsiting church. It was a pitty that we could not enter the church as a concert preparation were in progress.

Beautiful old church in the middle of town. Built over various periods with some impressive pieces throughout especially the organs. Worth it to drop in but nothing really in English other than the plaque outside so mostly just nice to take in the atmosphere. Many old nobles etc buried here which is interesting to see from centuries ago. Would be great if you could climb the tower but we couldn't see a way to.

Beautiful old Church with a nice atmosphere, and always a great place to to relax from the mundane shopping world around it. Just try to get inside, it is open many times and easily accessible and well worth the visit. Have a look for the announcements of concerts, you will find wonderful entertainments with a unique atmosphere for live music.

Friendly staff and good food. We had Pizza Contida and Spaghetti Carbonara. Both delicious. Pizza was a little too burned on the bottom, so minus one star.

Food was ok, have tasted better pizza, service was ok, they dont follow up guests if the food was good. Toalettet was not nice. Not so much clean.

Frozen Pizza/ Readymade Pasta sold as italian food. We took diavola and margarita pizza and spaghetti Bolognese it tastes so awful. We are very disappointed.

Loved sitting outside on the square, really nice! The fresh ginger and mint tea was so tasty and our server was really friendly. We ordered the lunch special of pesto pasta and it was just okay, too little sauce and the noodles were overcooked, but the cakes looked very good.

Lovely Café situated in a vaulted semi basement of an old building, outside seating facing a market square. Excellent coffee, cakes and small bites and very friendly service.

Service is friendly, but food was definitely prepared with the use of old oil. Felt really bad couple of hours after, could taste the old oil in the tofu already and in the noodles. Not presentable at all either, just a big mountain of noodles, unappealing.

We had burgers there. Though the view was nice i wasn’t impressed with the burgers at all! The service was not very warm and maybe it’s a nice place to go for coffee and cake but definitely not for a meal.
