Cirencester in 3 days

If you only have 3 days to spend in Cirencester, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Cirencester, often called the “capital of the Cotswolds,” blends Roman heritage with classic English market-town charm. You can explore its history at the Corinium Museum, stroll past honey-colored stone buildings, and visit the impressive Church of St John the Baptist on the market square. Cirencester Park and nearby countryside offer easy access to scenic walks and picturesque Cotswold villages. It also works well as a relaxed base for exploring the wider region’s gardens, estates, and hilltop views.
With favorites like The Golden Cross, Cirencester Amphitheatre, and The Crown at Ampney Brook, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like KFC Cirencester and The Bakers Arms so you can get the best taste of Cirencester while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Cotswold Country Park & Beach is the UK's largest inland paddling beach, offering a freshwater lakeside experience with imported sand from Padstow. Visitors can enjoy watersports like SUP and kayaking, as well as swan pedalos and an Aquaventure course. The park also features an adventure playground, crazy golf course, walking routes, open swimming areas, boating facilities, BBQ spots, and children's play parks.
I visited Cotswold Country Park and Beach with my mom, sister, and 2-year-old daughter, and we had a great time. We enjoyed the swan ride, played on the beach, and spent time in the swimming areas. We were able to set up a small tent and relax while taking in the beautiful views. We also had lunch at the café, which was convenient. Since it was a school day, the park was quiet with fewer people around, which made it even more enjoyable. Admission was also reasonably priced. Highly recommended for a peaceful family outing!!!

I would highly recommended stopping by at the cotswolds for the day, there are so many activities you can do. Parking is great book online before £14 per car. The aqua park is also great fun (book online before) 1 hour session on the giant inflatable suitable for all ages that can pass the swim test of 20 metres out to the aqua park. Staff are lovely and helpful check there website out

Very cute little place 😍😁👍 great for kids! Good price to get in, per car around £10-20 per car with whoever in. We had a nice day there, in July, while the kids were off...so was very busy! But still very nice to go visit. Maybe when it's quieter next time 👍
Claire P — Google review
We had a really nice day. It was far busier than expected for a school day. It would be quite nice if there was a 12+ area as sad toddlers sort of take away from the relaxing atmosphere but hey ho. The crazy golf shack didn't have staff in so we waited around 15 mins before someone showed up yo give us the clubs, already paid in the shop, not the most inspired course but it was ok and only five pound. We didn't go on the aqua park but it was bookable and looked good fun. Good selection of ice creams and drink. Toilets are unisex which was nice to see inclusivity. No issues. We walked around the whole lake, leaving chairs etc unattended, no issues. Will definitely go back.

We booked ahead by 4 days & caught a very hot day. There was plenty of natural shade off the beach area to stay cool in ! The water was cool but not cold & obviously busy as families splashed around. I counted 4 lifeguards !! Very vigilant and perhaps when it's very busy ball games in the water should be discouraged!! Everything was clean, the bins were emptied every hour & toilets looked like it was the beginning of the day...not the end! Well done cleaning teams! We loved our day & will bring our grandkids back soon.

What beautiful hidden gem 😍..... The trip to this place was so so so exciting and amazing. My kids really had a fun time. The beach area was so good for swimming and playing in 💦 the park area the beautiful swan boating connected to a small island in centre wow really awesome . Must visit place but don't forget only in summer super sunny hot days 😉 they also have a BBQ PLACE TOOO
NABILA M — Google review
Took my 3 children and had a wonderful time. There is so much to do. There are two play parks, a toddler paddle area, swimming and family area, sandy beach. Row, pedal and motor boat hire, snack shack, crazy golf and more. What I loved was that everything had been thought out. So many picnic benches, some shade cabins and BBQ spots. Will definitely revisit!!

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that we have such a fantastic location in the UK. With its lovely weather, it's an ideal spot for a day out. The area offers a beautiful beach, various water sports, boating opportunities, and plenty of food and drink options. There are also activities that can be enjoyed with your dog, such as the swan boat ride, making it a great place for pet owners as well!

Sculpture museum
Cotswold Sculpture Park, located in Somerford Keynes and open from April to September, offers a captivating outdoor gallery featuring a diverse collection of sculptures available for both admiration and purchase. Visitors appreciate the mix of permanent and seasonal artworks, as well as the scenic layout that appeals to all ages. The park's enchanting sculpture walk through a forest-like setting provides a magical adventure filled with beautiful and thought-provoking art pieces.
Absolutely magical place! The park is beautiful and very tranquil with lots of trees, plants and flowers, the sculptures are fantastic lots of different styles, materials and artists which are changed out often so you can go multiple times and always have a different experience! The paths are level and it's easily accessible, a great day out for all of the family young and old, the owners are wonderful and welcoming people, we can't wait to go back again!
Roxy O — Google review
We visited on a really hot day, arrival by car to what felt very South of France vibe. Shaded outside cafe, much appreciated at the end of our walk. We then started walking through both sunny and shaded woodland. A very eclectic selection of sculpture from small to a huge white polar bear. Thoroughly enjoyed our morning and would definitely recommend a visit to others.
Claire S — Google review
Well worth a visit. Free parking in a gravel surfaced car park with a short walk to the entrance and cafe (which you can visit without paying). The cafe is a good place to start. Great cakes & vegetarian savoury lunch options at around £10. Under cover outside seating is available. We spent 2hrs looking around. Certainly worth visiting when there is some sunshine as it does add to the ambiance and the lighting on the sculptures. There are no steps and the paths are suitable for wheelchairs and buggies etc. If you happen to have membership to Westonbirt Arboretum, you can get 2 for 1 adult tickets, so £5 each 👍☺️.
Nic P — Google review
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit, walking around admiring all the sculptures in natural surroundings. Well worth the visit even though it was a very windy day with showers. There is even a small cafe with undercover outdoor seating. Will definitely visit again one day.
Karin G — Google review
Over a hundred sculptures in a lovely wooded landscape. Easy to walk around with a good written guide (free with entry). Car parking on site. Takes about two hours to walk round at a leisurely pace. Plenty of shade on sunny days and seating for a short break on your journey. It has a cafe for snacks, drinks or lunch, but didn't try it.
Ray K — Google review
We had a quietly fabulous time, viewing and reviewing the amazing sculptures. This place feels like solace and offers a eclectic mix of various genres of sculptures. I was told that the exhibits change every year and sometimes more often. Well worth a visit.
Ash — Google review
What a super place to visit. Nearly 200 sculptures set amongst woodland and paths and a huge pond. A wonderful variety of sculptures of all sizes from people to animals in bronze wood and recycled things. A lovely little cafe us at the entrance and we loved our visit
Debbie G — Google review
A spontaneous trip to the Cotswold Sculpture Park using my Gardeners World 2for1 voucher. Thoroughly enjoyed wandering around, through the woodland looking at all the sculptures. We did not stop for refreshments at the cafe, but it all looked very nice. A flat gravel path takes you around the site. Some beautiful sculptures.

Incredibly rude staff. I visit this store every now and then. You usually know what to expect, it's good for a few bits and pieces. On one particular visit I chose to leave an item on the shelf that I no longer wanted to buy, granted I left it in a different place to where it was stocked but the response from the shop assistant left me speechless. The blonde lady rushed over, grabbed the item and aggressively said "I guess you don't want this anymore, I suppose I'll put this back then". Her tone was completely out of line and unacceptable.
Jacob M — Google review
This is my go to home bargains as it is my most local. Unfortunately it only gets four stars as i use it a lot for birthday supplies and it is always birthday supplies that they run low on! Wether it be banners, balloons or candles. Other than that, staff always seem to be happy and the store always seems to be clean. Lots of parking too.
Natalie M — Google review
A great shop, full of bargains and you can never leave without something. Pop in for one thing come out with bags full. Store.is tidy and well presented, lots of stock and plenty to look at. Staff are always busy but happy to point you in the right direction if you can't find something. Some of the till staff are a little slow and one ID'd my partner after be had paid for his alcohol, which was odd..

Fast food restaurant
KFC Cirencester - Bridge Road is a notable fast food chain renowned for its fried chicken served in buckets. They also offer combo meals and various sides. The establishment strives to maintain cleanliness, evident from their overall tidy environment. During one customer's visit, they encountered a slight delay with their order of 20 hot wings, but the staff made amends by including a complimentary portion of popcorn chicken as an apology.
Great chicken of a quality I’ve come to expect from KFC. Nicely seasoned, very crispy and succulent. Staff were very friendly and quick to get my order to me. My favourite is the original Kentucky wrap. I wish I could have it every day!
Yorkshire R — Google review
Zero star is not available to give a proper feedback. Portion size upgrade is a big scam, especially fries. I was curious what is the difference for extra money. Not a lot. The drink and the popcorn chicken were slightly bigger. The fries are not impressive. They put the fries in different packing. However the difference was neglectable. Maybe 2pcs more fries in large vs regular. I seriously suggest that just pay for regular because extra money doesn't worth the upgrade.
Pocokcic — Google review
Clean inside. Great choice of food, not a great selection if you don't eat meat, but it is a chicken restaurant! Having said that, it wouldn't matter to me if they had a huge selection as I would always go for their vegan burger... It's the best I've had, just amazing, my only complaint is there could be more options with it, like make it a tower burger/box meal, add another burger etc. Food arrived piping hot which is just how I like it 😁
Michelle W — Google review
I have not been to a KFC for a while, today the KFC at Cirencester reminded me why. They now use a special breed of dwarf chickens here. Plus, the potato famine has affected the size of the chip portions. Lots of money, for small measly portions. Be a while before I go again.
John H — Google review
Got almost every part of the food order wrong, asked for a 3-piece, received a 2-piece, the server didn't understand that sides aren't included with an original recipe chicken meal and specially asked for ketchup instead of supercharger sauce on the burger, twice, but got home to find the hot sauce was used. I was asked for an order number although I was never given one. The food was good, shame about the service. Do not rely on them getting it right
Cylus R — Google review
Good food, hot and fresh. The tables weren’t the best, left dirty and uncleared. Undesirable people were congregating inside and outside. Order was marked as ready for collection but a further 5 minutes passed regardless.
Rob C — Google review
Ordered through uber eats. Food came after nearly 2 hours and was wrong when it came. Food was awful. Chips soggy, no drinks and luke warm chicken. We are staying on the lower mill estate I would avoid ordering from this location. I appreciate the delivery delay was due to uber eats but It came direct and kfc sent it out in that state. Nevermind forgetting the drinks…

The Bakers Arms is a charming local pub known for its quality, scratch-made food and famous 2-in-1 pies. The staff are attentive, making it a great place for families despite some hazards like wonky steps.
Popped in, ordered the lasagne, had chips and cheesy garlic bread. All top quality, can tell homemade. Very very tasty, the salad that accompanied was great too. Couple of pints of super cold and fresh IPA. Simply lovely.

Lovely cosy transitional pub with a good selection of beers and wines. Staff were excellent and food was fantastic too. Eat there twice over the weekend, on the Friday evening, burger was excellent and again on Sunday for a roast which was also very nice. Just a shame it closes early on a Sunday and we would have stayed and settled in for an evening session.

The most warmest and welcoming of pubs with incredibly delicious food! We had such a wonderful Sunday roast whilst on holiday at Lower Mill Estate that we returned a few nights later for fish and chips! Would highly recommend
Emma — Google review
We were staying nearby and booked a table at the Baker's Arms for dinner on the Monday night. The food was fantastic, its a small menu so between us we ordered most of the dishes and they were all excellent. The service was brilliant too. We would highly recommend.
Ellie — Google review
My visit to The Baker's Arms was for a family celebration (11 guests). The booking was straightforward and updates in the approach to the date timely and reassuring. On arrival, we were greeted heartwarmingly, and shown to the table. The seating area was stunning and had a VIP feel to it: cosy atmosphere with tea lights flickering gently on the table, beautiful artwork on the walls, plenty of space to sit and move around, the sound quality of the entire area making chatter from nearby tables barely audible (which was particularly appreciated as we could enjoy our conversations without straining to speak or hear each other). The service was amazing, and for that I wish to thank Ruth and Karen, who made sure that a high chair was provided for the youngest guest in the party, that our drinks arrived promptly and that food was served in a streamlined fashion, so everyone got to enjoy it as a family. The dishes were hearty, flavoursome and tantalising in aroma and texture, and for that all compliments go to the expertise and culinary passion of the chef and their team. I highly recommend the signature Baker's Beefburger that will make you want to stay and order one more, and the Steak and Cotswold ale pie accompanied with melt-in-the-mouth mashed potato, tender buttered beans and honey-glazed carrot. The puddings menu will tease you and any effort to resist the choices will be futile, so make sure to leave some room to indulge one or two dessert flavours, too!

Beautiful. We dined in their riverside pods. These were beautiful and the waitresses were friendly, polite and attentive. The good was delicious with lots of flavour. We had cocktails which were also made perfectly. All set next to a stream. It was beautiful inside and out. Would recommend!!

We went Sunday and the food was amazing. This was topped by the exceptional, friendly and accommodating staff. Josh the lad with curly hair in the restaurant was absolutely amazing attending to the table with a lovely engaging pleasant manor and looking after us throughout the meal. He was also very patient when we had to tell him specific allergies. Thanks again Josh you made the meal experience top quality and a real pleasure.

Excellent Place, we booked for breakfast but a visit for a midweek meal, or Sunday lunch will soon be on the cards. I had full English and my wife had scrambled eggs on toast. The best coffee we have had for ages. Great Service and set by a small brook. Lovely outside area too.

Some of the best food we have ever had! Highly recommend the chicken burger, hot dog, beef with red wine and mussels (seriously the best mussels I’ve ever had in my life!), thanks to Alexis, Tatiana and hardy for their first class service - they couldn’t do enough for us!

Great atmosphere and food. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Me and my son ordered the Sunday roast and the burger. Both were excellent. It is recommended to book a table as it's quite full. In our case we didn't and the team were kind enough to allow us to have our lunch at their lounge as the restaurant was fully booked.
Luis L — Google review
The fish and chips were unbelievable and reasonably priced for the size of the portion, which was LARGE! Our waiter was really funny and helpful and gave excellent recommendations. We were at The Pig the night before which was double the price and not as tasty in my opinion. The atmosphere in the Crown was a bit intense when we arrived as there was a wedding on and I had no idea where the actual restaurant was or who the front of house was, but once we got around that issue it was fine. Lastly, the sticky toffee pudding was probably up there with one of the best I've had. All in all, I would highly recommend this place. There's also a nice river you can walk to around the back.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Crown in Ampney! There were nine of us in total, including two children, and the whole afternoon was perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it was great to see how kid-friendly the place was without losing its charm for the adults. The food was exceptional – every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into both the ingredients and the cooking. A special shoutout to our waiter, Harvey, who was truly outstanding. He was friendly, attentive, and made us all feel so well looked after — nothing was too much trouble. We couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. Highly recommend The Crown to anyone looking for amazing food, wonderful service, and a relaxed, family-friendly vibe. We’ll definitely be back!

Service was friendly and efficient, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a tasty and satisfying lunch spot!

We arrived on Mon 14th Oct. Booked a feature room - not cheap! We had no heating, as boiler issue. Wasn't informed when we checked in. Had a small heater instead. Was offered a smaller room overlooking the noisy town centre. We declined this as it was not i had booked. Had a meal and half of the menu was unavailable. Got woke up at 7am but the bottles being emptied. You pay a premium price for a nice room to be above the kitchen. On check out we settle out bill. The manor reception lady asked how was out stay. We explained, she was said the boiler was ok, but she would reach out to me. As I expected.......... Nothing. I wouldn't recommend staying here. A drink maybe that about all.

To start the staff are very friendly and the restaurant has a great ambiance. The service is fantastic from the minute you walk in through the door. The food was delicious, we were a large group and no one had anything bad to say regarding the food. The only thing I wish was the portion size was slightly larger only because their food is so delicious. A must visit, keep up the good work.

We have passed this restaurant many times, looked at the menu and thought we really should try it. Well this week we did. It was lunchtime on a Tuesday lunchtime and it was quiet, so getting a table was not a problem. I suspect during busier periods booking would be sensible. The ambience was good with quite a chilled vibe. Service was very quick, friendly and professional. The menu is extensive enough for all tastes and whilst not cheap, proved to be excellent value for money given the quality of the food and the care taken in preparing it. The wine list is good, with a good selection of wines by the glass. I ordered one of the risottos because a) I love a good risotto and b) I find it's a reasonable way of gauging the care and skill of the chef. Mine was extremely good! Likewise my wife's chicken and roasted vegetable salad. My coffee semifredo was delightful and a mention should go to the olives which we had instead of a starter, excellent. So if you enjoy Italian food that is made with skill and care, do give this place a visit, it'll be worth it.

Came here for my partners 30th birthday tonight. All we can say is WOW, the food was outstanding, completely faultless we did not want it to end. We were full but still had food envy watching other tables food come out after eating ours, as it was simply that delicious. Could not fault this place from start to finish, thank you for an unforgettable evening. PS, make sure you book ahead, we saw at least 5 couples get turned away due to not booking - make sure you do, you won’t regret it.

On a Friday night, upon arrival with no booking, the manager skillfully and kindly prepared us a table in a few minutes. Food was splendid. Attention to details was seen in penne pesto served with pine nuts. Pizza was delicious to its dough. Gelato - sorbet with cream based added a lovely touch. Not to mention their limoncello spritz. Wonderful place of delicious meal and ambience

Had a great lunch today—penne was full of flavour and satisfying. Tasty onions rings. Ambience and Aura was calming. Friendly service. Will visit again.

A Slice of Italy in Every Bite – From the moment we stepped into this charming Italian gem, we were swept away by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, offering genuine smiles. Their passion for Italian cuisine truly shines through. Now, the star of the show: the authentic Neapolitan pizza. Crafted with a beautifully blistered sourdough base, it was light, airy, and packed with deep, fermented flavor – the kind you’d expect in the heart of Naples. Topped with fresh ingredients and baked to perfection, it was nothing short of phenomenal. I wish if they can do Vegetarian options like Veg Supreme. The overall service was excellent, with each course arriving at a comfortable pace and presented with care. We did indulge in dessert, and while the affogato was a nice finish, it fell a little short of the traditional Italian preparation – a richer espresso and a smoother gelato would elevate it to the standard of the rest of the meal. It’s worth noting that prices lean on the higher end, but given the quality of the food, service, and setting, it still feels like a fantastic experience overall.

A lovely place to lunch. The food and atmosphere are amazing. We had spaghetti bolognaise and carbonara. Followed by Torte Al Lemoncella and coffee all superb. The staff are friendly and efficient. Highly recommended

The food was so delicious, fresh and hot, though we were slightly disappointed with the antipasti price. Great wine list. Fabulous friendly, attentive staff. The pizza chef was great and obviously took so much pride in his work, cleaning down everything when not making pizzas. A great restaurant with a lovely atmosphere.

Cirencester Open Air Swimming Pool, established in 1869, offers a unique experience of swimming in natural spring water heated to an average of 27C. Situated on the outskirts of Cirencester Park, the facility features a 28-meter main pool with a slide, a separate children's paddling pool, and a sunbathing patio. Visitors can also enjoy hot and cold refreshments on-site.
Lovely open air pool, built before the became known as lidos. Unlike many I have frequented they do have a pin badge for those of us who chase lidos. A cloth/sew on one would be the ultimate 😁 There is a lovely riverside walk to get to it and only a 10 min walk from the town car parks. The back drop of the old barracks is quite impressive. The pool has a small tuck shop and whilst no lawns to lazy upon, there are plenty of benches and a paved terrace. For those coming a long way (we had a 2 hour drive) they operate drop in sessions which helps for timing your swim. Changing rooms would benefit from a spinner for swimming costumes that's me being picky! I would rate it 8 out of 10

Lovely outdoor swimming pool! Originally opened up in 1870! It is heated but only heated to 26 degrees, so can be still cold 🥶 - the facilities are lovely and clean! Tuck shop is reasonably prices! They have loads of seating area and they encourage you bring your own food! They dont have bins but will take their own rubbish back! As they recycle and the public werent doing it probably! Another downside is the isnt any parking on site, so we parked at abbey grounds and walks through some public footpaths, about 5-10min walk. The is 1 slide and the is a little pool for little ones and they have some water toys for children to play with! Also the isnt a time limit on your stay, we turned up at 2pm when drop inn swim time opens and we stayed til 4.30pm.

Visited on 26/8/25 bank holiday Monday (28 degrees) , arrived around 4.30pm and only had to wait 5 minutes to get in. The staff were lovely and the pool was clean and well maintained. Water did feel a little chilly but once you was in it soon warmed up. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Great first experience and swim. I was a bit wary about trying, but couldn't have been more impressed. From Ian helping on the phone with extra accommodations to greeting me in person. Thanks also to Tam and Sally for helping me set up an account with patience. The pool was lovely and clean, changing rooms spotless and a lovely atmosphere. I am recovering from a slipped disc in my back, the whole team were lovely and caring to the point that a male lifeguard took the time to check in that I was ok. Really lovely place with a great vibe. Thank you!

Fabulous large family open air swimming pool in the heart of Cirencester, lovely and warm, great facilities, tuck shop and sparkling clean. Perfect for a half term visit today.

This is a wonderful local lido facility. It has a child's pool and an adult pool. The child's pool has toys for the kids and the adults pool has a small slide. There is plenty of seating and a little cafe that sells hot drinks and snacks. The changing rooms are spacious and very clean. You have to pay to use the showers but they're really well kept. The parking is tough but I parked in a local car park and walked to it with the kids. All in all for 2 adults and 2 kids it cost my £16 and there was no time limit to using it.
Henry L — Google review
Excellent place; staff, lifeguards and volunteers are very friendly and helpful; pool is large, clean and warm and; pools have a good range of depths, from a baby/toddler pool to a pool with shallow and deep sections for all swimming abilities. Facilities are on site including: changing areas, toilets, lockers, showers, benches, floatation devices and a food and drink shack. Online booking and drop-in sessions are both easy to do. However, no parking is available dedicated to the Open Air Pool, so car parks nearby must be used to then walk to the destination.
Chloe K — Google review
We visited the pool for the first time today. We parked at one of the public car parks and walked about 10 mins to the pool. We were anxious about whether it would be too busy and whether we'd get into the drop in session (and had a back-up plan), but we went straight in with no queue and were told there was actually space for lots more people. Prices are great. The pool and changing facilities were cleaner and in better condition than Wiltshire Council-run leisure centres. And when there were enough lifeguards on duty, the slide (8+, otherwise adult needed in attendance) was a big hit. The refreshments hut served various instant snacks (teas, coffees, packaged ice creams). We'll certainly return some time! Also, everyone except the lifeguards are volunteers, so be kind. They're giving up their time to run it.

Abbey Grounds Park is one of the must-visit sites in Cirencester, offering a serene and peaceful environment to unwind after exploring the town. The park features a playpark and a river where visitors can enjoy watching ducks. It also holds historical significance as it was once the site of the Augustinian Abbey of St Mary, which thrived during Medieval times due to the wool trade. Additionally, visitors can explore other nearby attractions such as St.
Lovely park. Lots of interesting features and trees and plenty of wildlife about thanks to the nearby lake. Some parts of the path get quite water logged bur easy enough to walk around.

Such a lovely part of Cirencester, some lovley trees, a play park for the children. A lake with benches nearby, a duck feeder, such a nice idea. The park is also home to the free Phoenix Festival.

Beautiful small park with a flat, circular walk. Interesting 'ice house' archaeological feature. Wildlife aplenty to spot. Love it and visit frequently. Toilets are newly updated and much nicer to use. Right by town centre too, so easy to grab lunch.

Came across park as I’d sheltered in church from the rain. I was pleasantly surprised at the green oasis right in the middle of Cirencester. Dogs are allowed to run off lead on the grassed area and there are numerous seats facing the lake to rest.

This is a beautiful place with a picturesque view from all angles. A lake full of water birds lots of grass, benches places to sit and soak up the views. Flowers poppies wild flowers trees and most importantly a clean tidy park to enjoy. The Abbey Grounds Park is my favourite kind of place with lots to see and loads of space to walk and sit with a picnic or walk the dog. Plus a great outdoor learning play area for youngsters. 👍

An enormous green space with some flowerbeds and many trees. Dogs north of the water must be on a lead, but south of it, apparently not. Signs are many, officious and threatening and occasionally conflicting. Popular place in warm weather, there's also a kids playground at the north end.

"He Says She Waffles" is a charming addition to Cheltenham's dining scene, offering freshly made waffles with gluten-free options, bagels, pizzas, and milkshakes. The menu features both savory and sweet waffle options such as smoked salmon, hummus and olives or bacon breakfast waffle. The dessert waffles are topped with cream, fruit and sprinkles. It's a perfect spot for those seeking indulgent treats along with coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
Beautiful little waffle and milkshake corner surrounded by small businesses. The milkshakes were super yummy (we had the chocolate mint, chocolate and strawberry), waffles were freshly made and the staff were super friendly. Clean washrooms. Very kid friendly with a nice reading corner for young ones. Nice artwork on the walls. You will have to park few streets away and walk around to reach here.

What a great find, we had a raft if different waffles including a customised one for a picky 5 year old. They were great, they were make fresh, took no time at all and were scrummy. My bacon and maple syrup one was the best and even came with a fresh side salad.

We would have visited just for the name, but the sign outside sealed the deal: we ALWAYS chose waffles! We continue to visit because the waffles are great and they have so many topping options. I've tried several, both savory and sweet, and they've all been delicious. They also have really good hot chocolate, which is always a plus in my book. I took a star off because the seating arrangements are not the best, tables are really close to each other, very tight and not comfortable.

Churches & Cathedrals
St. John Baptist Church in Cirencester is an Anglican church that was established in 1117 as part of an Augustinian monastery. The walled precinct and the church are situated at the center of a charming Cotswold town. The building, constructed in 1480, is typical of 15th century architecture with elaborate details and stained glass windows. Inside, there are ornate features and colorful wall paintings to admire. A gift shop inside offers religious items for purchase.
We stumbled upon the “Cathedral of the Cotswolds” quite by chance while spending the day in Cirencester, waiting for friends. With some time to spare, we wandered inside, and what a lovely surprise it turned out to be. It was just before Christmas, so the church was beautifully dressed for the season. What really caught our eye were the dozens of Christmas trees, each uniquely decorated - many, it seemed, by local businesses. The creativity was impressive, with each tree reflecting a distinct theme. I never imagined a tree adorned with cups could look so charming! Kudos to everyone involved in this festive initiative. It’s a brilliant way to draw people in and showcase the beauty of this stunning Gothic church. We left feeling unexpectedly uplifted.

Worth visiting for some fine architectural and other features. A large and impersonal building lacking atmosphere. Large number of unused pews in the main building while a service was on, attended by four people, in a side room. Not a church that is welcoming . But as an historical relic worth a look

I am aware of how many houses of the holy I'm getting through looking for the smiting one. Let's be clear, they're all magnificent structures. They're all remarkably well built, the craftsmanship is second to none and this example is fairly typical of how good they all are. My mind is blown on a regular basis and will continue to be blown as long as I remain untouched by lightning 🌩 bolt.

I’m not a Christian, but I love visiting churches when I travel, because I can feel the history, culture, and life in them. St. John the Baptist Church in Cirencester is a symbol of the town. I was captivated by its delicate architecture. I recently saw the musical “SIX” and became interested in the six queens, so when I found that there was a “Boleyn Cup” here, I was so excited!

Pro: Great food. Con: Took 2 hrs to get our food. Con: It was freezing inside with AC since we spent hrs in total to get food Pro: They had blankets when I asked. Con: This delay caused us to take the food home instead as we lost our appetite Con: we missed our evening plans due to this, and forgot about the overstayed car parking.. Pro: I looked for the manager who took the correct steps to try to resolve their mistakes, and had a word with their staff who made the mistake. Things offered wasn't suitable but had some discount on the food. Con: Since the service was bad, I removed this. Con: We were actually sat by the stairs (enterance and till) so they walked past many times but never checked on the fact we haven't ate anything for 2hrs. Pro: desserts was nice. Con: It was a first special occasion so it was a shame it went like that for us, and my partner having to stress about something that was the restaurants control/ out of his control, and I handled the situation. Reservation was 7pm, we arrived 6:50pm. Left there 9:30-10pm.

Excellent service and delicious food. We were served quickly, the staff were polite and friendly. Special thanks to our waiter, Constantin, for his attentiveness and professionalism. The wine recommendation was spot on and perfectly matched our dishes. The only minor drawback was the noise level due to closely placed tables. Overall, a pleasant dining experience — we’ll be happy to return.

We had an absolutely fabulous Sunday lunch on 9th November. We arranged this as a birthday lunch for our mother who is 82. We have been to Cote Cirencester on a number of occasions in the past and repeatedly look to come back because of how wonderful the experience is each time – and last Sunday was no different. The atmosphere is perfect for families, young and old. We have found it increasingly difficult to find restaurants which don’t insist on blaring out music or where the sound is echoey and background noise very clattery which makes hearing hard and conversation difficult. The ambience and environment created in Cote Cirencester is a perfect atmosphere. The food is sensational. Our starters and mains were all delicious. The roast chickens were superb and the description from our waiter that they were so fresh was evident in the cooking and in the tasting. The free flow fries were an outstanding menu option. We were also impressed with the options available for gluten and dairy free dietary requirements and the waiter was very helpful in explaining and facilitating this from the menu. All in all another excellent experience and above all the whole lunch was made memorable by our superb waiter Constantin. He was always friendly, warm and helpful. Throughout he brought humour and a genuine sense of care and sincere attentiveness which projected a strong desire for us all at our table to have a good time without this seeming forced or false – it was natural and made us all feel relaxed and very welcome. Constantin combines a well judged sense of humour with very strong customer service orientation and he helped make the experience all the more enjoyable. Special thanks to him. We will certainly be back again for another repeat visit.

Scallops to start, Cote de Boeuf for mains and Paris-Brest and macarons to finish. All washed down with a lovely Picpoul. Perfect evening. Constantin looked after us exceptionally well, as usual. Top marks all round!

We came across Cote as a result of walking around Cirencester lanes looking for a place to have an evening meal. Having been to a Cote previously we were pleased to find one in Cirencester. Having had a warm welcome we were attended by Constantin. He was brilliant. He talked us through the menu in terms of what we had chosen and he was also able to comment on the menu items that he had sampled himself. During the meal he checked on us to make sure that all was to our liking. This wasn't done in an intrusive way but merely to check if all was ok. The unlimited free fries with certain selections of the meal were a welcome bonus. I'd certainly visit again.

With its historical significance dating back to Charles II's escape from the building in 1651, The Crown exudes character and charm.
Spent a couple of hours here today for lunch, the staff were all very friendly and the whole team were working tirelessly, all doing a bit of everything. Lady (assume was the manager) was running a very efficient service. We were seated up at the back near the garden doors. Food is delicious, could see the chef cutting fresh veg as orders came in. Very reasonably priced for decent portions. Clean and tidy venue. Very impressed.

Josh was fantastic and was a charmer!! He was so help-full with our weird dietary requests as we were both starving at this point ( me and my mum) We had a vegan panini, a pie and a extra salad with a large glass of wine and tap water :) He made the visit worth while so thank you sir we had a lovely time at the pub! 🏳️‍🌈

We were doing the tourist thing in town, when my super-spouse suggested that we find a pub -- not a restaurant, not an eatery, definitely not a fast-food joint. Mike, the neighborhood security guard, recommended The Crown. Good choice. SS (a Bristol native) commented on the authenticity of her steak and ale pie more than once. I went with a more absurd choice, a Southern-fried chicken burger (I'll attach a photo) -- and it was delicious. For adult bevs, we went with a Stowford cider (for her), a Belt Driver IPA (for me), and a Hugo-something Spritzer (my memory fails on that one, but it was tasty). I'd go back!

Stumbled across The Crown looking for a place to eat, and I'm glad we decided to go in. The staff is Friendly and attentive, and the place has a great atmosphere. The food is very tasty and good portion too. We ordered Chargrilled Lamb Chops, Herb Crusted Pan Fried Salmon, and Thumb Ups for the Bacon & Chorizo Mac & Cheese, absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere. Dogs are welcome. Food is good quality pub fare. Steak and ale pie was very nice. Nice way of spending a Saturday afternoon in good surroundings.

Very good quality food. We had some traditional dishes like pies with chips and gravy. Baby food nice too.

On the corner opposite the church. Decently decorated and a good size place. Tap beers and a few real ales available. Staff were friendly and polite. A dog friendly place with a beer garden at the rear of the premises. Beer was alright. Enjoyed my visit.

A fairly ordinary seeming pub but the burger I had was fantastic. Chips and onion rings were excellent too.

Specialty Museums
The Corinium Museum in Cirencester, also known as Corinium, houses a significant collection of Roman artifacts. The town was once a major Roman settlement and the museum showcases reconstructed rooms, interactive displays, and videos that bring this era to life. Among its highlights are stunning floor mosaics, including a 4th-century depiction of Orpheus charming animals and a 2nd-century Jupiter column.
Popped in with the family after checking out the market and shops. Friendly staff and the reception area is well presented. Toilets are on site but a bit tucked. The amount of Roman history is outstanding. There are two floors to cover with plenty to see and read. There is also a rolling interactive display with several short stories to choose from. The tickets are all day so if you wish to pop back later you can do so.

Excellent exhibits with great educational elements! The whole family enjoyed it. The people were very informative as well.

I told one of the staff that the mannequins looked too real and were a bit scary, and then she kindly showed me around the exhibition and told me some stories. All the staff were so nice and helpful, and I learned a lot about the history of Cirencester. It’s one of my loveliest memories in Cirencester. Thank you very much!

Made the mistake of "bigging" the Corinium up in my mind before entering. Big mistake. It could never live up to what my (former) drug addled brain could imagine and when you've taken as many hallucinogens as I have in the past I was expecting to be mugged by an iron age thug or Roman centurian around every corner. It's a museum and is full of museumy things from the past. Daft thing to write as I've yet to visit a museum which looks to the future. Thought it was a tad pricey even though I got the crinkley discount. The staff were nice in the extreme. They put up with the mouthy northern one (me) without banning me from returning at some point. I hope they've forgiven me for leaving my 'up the boro' message before I departed.
Bill R — Google review
An excellent museum with some quite beautiful mosaics and engaging history of Cirencester over the millennia. Let down by some sloppy attention to detail with their timeline boards. Guy Fawkes' assassination attempt was a year later and Edward VII was crowned a whole 3 years before.
Jeremy A — Google review
Brilliantly presented museum. Small enough to get round in an hour or two yet packed with great exhibits. One of the best range of Roman exhibits I've seen. Kids really enjoyed the interactive elements and the light and open layout.

Such a fabulous museum tucked away. I can't believe we hadn't been here before. Incredible Roman mosaics. Such a swathe of Gloucestershire history. Amazing resource. Lovely volunteer showed us around the Roman section. Do visit.

Cafe
Luxe Cafe Bar is a popular spot in Cirencester, known for its Instagram-worthy pink decor and creative desserts. The cafe offers a range of tasty treats, including Nutella cookie sandwiches, Lucky Charm Rice Krispie treats, Oreo pancakes, doughnut-topped iced lattes, and Reese's peanut butter hot chocolates. It's the perfect place to relax with friends while indulging in delicious food and signature boozy pink drinks.
We hired Luxe last night for my best friends bridal shower, it was better than I dreamed it would be. The cost was very reasonable. The venue was PERFECT for a bridal shower - pink, romantic, intimate and super girly. The food was perfect - delicious baguettes, scones, cakes, macarons, etc. So many of their drinks were included in the £35 per person cost and their drinks are so good. The elderflower was one of the best I've had. Everyone also ordered hot chocolates, included in the price. Lots of people tried cocktails too and loved them, their signature candy floss cocktail went down a treat! Personally, I don't drink but thoroughly enjoyed the Nutella milkshake that I had! The service all evening was brilliant. Everything was set up when we arrived, despite us running late. The table looked beautiful but we also added our own little decorations too! Staff took drink orders throughout the evening at the table as well as being able to go to the till to order the paid extras. We even got bags to take the extra food home with us which almost everyone did! If you're planning an intimate event for you and your female friends, definitely choose Luxe. I couldn't have dreamt a better bridal shower for my best friend, it was beyond perfect.

A truly beautiful interior. Attracted by this décor, we celebrated our daughter's passed exam. All tables were free, the place was empty, so we could choose the one under the neon sign. In a cheerful atmosphere, we ordered 3x double scoops of ice cream. On the counter there was a price list with a clearly written price: 1 scoop £2.5 2 scoops £4. When after some time I got a confirmation from the bank that I paid £15 (£3 too much) I went to explain it to the seller. It turned out that the price on the counter was old and now it is a new changed price (in fact not displayed anywhere to verify it), the old sign has somehow mystically disappeared. To be honest, I felt cheated, because this is not the way to do business- to advertise the old price and calculate the new one without telling your customer about that (The display showed old price as the seller explained. But is it a really new price ? , because it has not been confirmed anywhere on the display nor menu). It's only £3 difference, but the bad taste remained despite the beautiful interior of this place

Very aesthetically pleasing cafe. Great for photos - super pink and floral 😆. Definitely recommend this place for anyone with a sweet tooth. Staff were kind and patient while I browsed through the menu. Cocktail was fun and tasty. Ice cream was creamy and refreshing on a hot day. The cookie dough is very sweet and sugary therefore it may be a bit much if you’re planning to get other sweet treats on the side as well. Great vibes and lovely cafe decor. Highly recommend for a little trip out, especially if you’re looking to grab something colourful and sweet.
Julia B — Google review
This charming little café never fails to impress — from its beautiful aesthetic to the delicious food and irresistible bakes. I always end up taking a treat (or two) home from the counter to enjoy later! Can’t wait to visit again soon and see the new floral décor. 💖

The most gorgeous girly cafe. The food is always delicious especially the cakes. Also ordered a custom cake from here which was lovely. Also it’s great that the cafe is dog friendly. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Never actually been to the place, but my wife came home from a girls weekend and brought me a slab of the Milky Way Brownie from Lux.... OMG - unreal!! And I've had a fair few brownies in my time. I'm not even a massive Milky Way fan but seems to go incredibly well with the gooey, chewy, chocolatey brownie. Sensational work!! Going to have to make the 90 minute drive to get some more sometime very soon

Popped in for a little ‘lunch date’ with my daughter. It’s such a lovely location, tucked away down a quiet alleyway and the shop itself is beautiful (as you’ll be able to tell from mine and others photographs). But it’s not all style over substance. The cafe also has an incredible menu serving fantastic quality food and drinks. Finally the staff were just lovely. Really friendly and very kind to my daughter. Highly recommended. Great place.

Return to Market Place and the 1862 Corn Hall, which has been transformed into a trendy shopping center in 2009. Made by Bob, an establishment that has gained recognition for its outstanding culinary offerings, has helped put Cirencester on the gastronomic map.
A quirky collection of indoor market and some shops along with amenities like public toilets (open unlike many during pandemic) and a nice cafe too! Interesting craft fair on the Sunday we visited. Well worth another visit when we are in the area.

Love the Corn Hall indoor market. Always lots to look at and buy, everyone is very friendly and helpful and the cafe is just what you need while shopping.
Veronica P — Google review
A collection of mostly wrinkley people selling overpriced tat which should've stayed collecting dust in the attic, where it belongs. Reminded me of my youth when the "rag and bone man" would wander the streets with his horse and cart yelling, "Any old rags, any old bones?!" He paid children with balloons, a currency more fitting in the Corn Hall, methinks. If ya wanna spend a day pointing 👉 and laughing 😃 this is the place to go.
Bill R — Google review
Great antique fair there and a tasty treats cafe both open on Fridays
Chris G — Google review
As a regular Trader at the Saturday Indoor Craft Market I can categorically say that the feedback I get from customers is that the Corn Hall Indoor market is a wonderful place to shop for quality handmade products on a Saturday and a whole a range of other quality products including art, ceramics and jewellery from Sunday - Thursday. The previous review was obviously about the Friday Antiques market which is indeed full of nik naks and collectibles probably found in people’s attics and appeals to collectors and enthusiasts who enjoy rummaging for a piece of treasure. The comments made do not reflect the markets held on other days of the week. As small businesses it’s important that we are supported and valued by the general public. Cirencester is a vibrant town with so much to offer visitors including experiencing the Corn Hall markets and the Diversitea cafe.

Cirencester Amphitheatre, located on the outskirts of the town on Cotswold Avenue, is an ancient Roman-era monument managed by English Heritage. Dating back to the 2nd century, it was one of the largest amphitheatres in the country, accommodating around 8,000 spectators who gathered to witness various public performances.
I was staying at the Travelodge and came to see the most excellent Corinium Museum and the Amphitheatre. Google said there was free parking but doesn’t say it was on the street. It was an interesting experience to stand in the middle area and climb the banks where so much has happened in Roman occupation. There is also a pretty woodland walk as well. Also saw the Monument which is off to the right, down steps and over a little wooden bridge.

Lovely hidden gem, with good signage, footpaths, seating, and a small, free car park. Lots of trees and birdsong, Amazing ruins covered in grass, but it's a shame you can't see the stones
Sarah L — Google review
Well preserved remains of largest Roman amphitheatre in UK. We worth a visit if in the area.
Martin G — Google review
This amazing Amphitheatre sits on the edge of the town and is totally abandoned. It has only had one minor excavation so very little has been discovered about it. You can clearly trace the shapes of the interior, the steps on which people would have sat and the access routes into the stadium. It is such a shame that more has not been made of the site.
Alison B — Google review
The Amphitheatre is very large in person, you can imagine it with all of the stone seating! Bummer that no stones are left, but visiting it gives you a sense of the scale of the site.
Tessa B — Google review
tall, large, covered by grass, it used to be monunental, now it serves for dogs.

Somewhat underwhelming overall. Nice for a walk from the town center (though walking there is not well posted). Not sure why, and I had not read any reviews so my bad, but I was somehow expecting a few stones or remnants, but it is basically just a grassy area where the amphitheater was.

Had dinner with my family this evening. The starters, main meals and desserts were excellent . Food were delicious and we enjoyed it very much. The staff member Audrey was very good with her service and we were taken care of during the dinner. The new Kings Head is a very good place for family dinner. It’s a place for everyone . There’s something for everyone here. I highly recommend the Brassiere at Kings Head for diner. Matt , the General Manager was very good and made our evening an enjoyable one. It was a great evening.

We had a lovely meal here with some friends and family, and everything was spot on from start to finish. The restaurant looks fantastic after the recent refurbishment…fresh, welcoming, and beautifully updated without losing its charm. A special shoutout to Charlotte, who was absolutely wonderful. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Her service really added to the whole experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it’s clear that a lot of care has gone into improving both the look and the overall experience of the place. We’ll definitely be coming back, highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of enjoying a truly delicious Sunday lunch at The Kings Head Brasserie, made even more special by the outstanding service from Audrey. From the moment we arrived, Audrey was warm, welcoming, and attentive without being intrusive. What stood out most was how accommodating she was when I kindly requested salmon for my main, even though it wasn’t listed on the Sunday menu. Without hesitation, she made it happen and I’m so glad she did! The salmon was cooked to perfection: tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It turned out to be one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in a long time. Every part of the lunch was delightful, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet refined the perfect setting for a leisurely Sunday meal. Audrey’s genuine hospitality and attention to detail truly elevated the whole experience. I can’t recommend The Kings Head Brasserie highly enough, and I’d especially like to thank Audrey for going the extra mile. I’ll definitely be returning and hoping to see that salmon on the menu more often!

Great service ever. We went in for our dinner and boy oh boy. From start to finish. Everything was absolutely exquisite. But one person stood out for us. Audrey was amazing in waiting section. Very attentive to detail on and always serving with both enthusiasm and great sense of humour. Five stars all the way. Keen it up Kings Head.

This was our second visit. Our first was exceptional. Perfectly cooked beef and lamb, super friendly front of house team. Today was less good. A two hour wait for our food, and when it arrived it was like it was cooked by a different person. Very overcooked and very unexceptional. We were greeted on arrival by Audrey who was the star of the day. She warned us there was a delay when we arrived , but I don’t think even she thought it would be as long as it was! She stood up, stood out, and because of her - we will be back. I love hospitality and obviously so does she. She was professional throughout but was let down today. The conversion is fantastic. What a great venue We will be back but maybe just for a drink next time, and will give your kitchen time to bed in. Jack Harries.

Went in at 2.30 for food, got a table straight away, waited a while for menus. A varied menu, prices on the high side. I ordered half a chicken with fries and coleslaw - which is exactly what I got - 2 pieces of chicken (if that was half a chicken it was a very small chicken!), fries and a small pot of coleslaw, no salad. Tasty but a little disappointing. Husband had ham and eggs so he said was nice but nothing special. We did ask for dessert menus but they never arrived - not sure if it was the time of day but service was very slow. We were sat next to the bar too so no excuse for being out of the way. Family we were with had Sunday lunch the day before and said it was excellent so it's possibly that Mondays isn't the day to go. I personally wouldn't return. Not sure if it's just had a refurb but internally it is an impressive looking pub.

We came for lunch so can’t comment on the rooms but food was excellent. We were served by Finn who was cheerful and helpful - we were a large table so a lot to look after. The hotel and restaurant have only just reopened and we are looking forward to seeing them go from strength to strength.

Receptionist excellent. Our room was cold despite switching on heat/ac combo. Not a cold day either. Receptionist provided oil heater which eventually warmed the room. No heat apparent in corridor. Many plug points but mirror too high over desk/dressing table. Had to stand to dry hair. Since built in wardrobe with shelves. Minimal hanging space as housing bulky ironing board. Bed very comfortable. Toiletries good but.no shelf in shower so had to store on floor and keep bending down. This hotel has been refurbished so not good. The service in the restaurant was v slow. The young staff are v pleasant but need.morw training to understand service levels required. Main meals served on cold plates. Breakfast was v poor. No plates, tongs, fruit juices empty. Again staff not taught to be checking on such items and also to clear tables. This particularly bad in the bar area the previous night. Hotel well placed but needs to improve in above areas.

The food at Burrito Mama is excellent and the menu is simple yet well-executed. The flavors are spot-on and not overly complicated. They offer a great selection of beers, although it would be nice if they could also recommend some wines. Located in Cirencester, this independent restaurant is highly recommended. The corn on the cob with feta is particularly delicious, and their chicken burrito and loaded nachos are equally satisfying.
Visited here for dinner. Made an on the day booking and whilst they were fully booked they accommodated us by sitting us at the bar which was more than comfortable and big enough. We ordered the spicy Mango Margaritas after being recommended them by the Waitress and wow - they were absolutely delicious and refreshing with the perfect flavours of spice and sweetness. For food - we ordered the loaded beef nachos, beef brisket tacos and Chorizo quesadillas and they didn't not disappoint! Everything looked and tasted amazing! We didn't stop eating until our plates were empty! Would definitely return and recommend to anyone who loves soulful, delicious Mexican food.

Loved my visit to the restaurant. Very nice vibes inside, waitresses were friendly and service was fast. I had the elote corn which was rich and delicious. My ancho chilli mushroom tacos had a nice balance of flavours. I opted for a Virgin Piquante cocktail, which was lovingly made and presented. It tasted wonderful too! I would highly recommend the restaurant and if I’m ever back in the area I will pop in again!

We wanted some good food and a good atmosphere to celebrate our wedding anniversary and goodness did this place deliver. The food was amazing. Good portion sizes, perfectly spiced, full of flavour and reasonably priced which always helps. Nestled in a charming medieval backstreet of Cirencester, The Golden Cross is an enchanting 18th-century coaching inn that perfectly blends history with modern comforts. This inviting pub features a cozy bar complete with a log fireplace, making it an ideal spot to unwind. Franklin, the friendly pub dog, adds to the warm atmosphere as he greets both two-legged and four-legged visitors alike.
I took a group of 22 hungry Italian hikers to the Golden Cross last night and wanted to say how lovely the whole experience was. We had their function room, which immediately received ‘wows’ and the service from start to finish was flawless. The new owners were friendly, professional and the food was fresh and delicious. I can't comment on the rooms as I didn't stay here , we stopped by for a drink, we sat in the courtyard space which was nice on a hot day . The ambience was laid back but we were there during the day and I can see that it would probably liven up in an evening, the decor of the pub was lovely , and from the front it looks way smaller than it is . The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks on offer , we didn't eat but saw some of the food coming from the kitchen and it all looked really nice . I would visit here again if we were in the area . Great central location also .

Fish and chips takeaway
Fast food restaurant
Seafare Fish & Chips is a delightful gem for anyone craving classic takeaway fare. Recently, I had the pleasure of indulging in their perfectly cooked cod and thick-cut chips, which were simply divine! The staff exude warmth and friendliness, making every visit enjoyable. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the establishment as well. My online order was ready promptly, ensuring that my meal was fresh and hot upon collection.
Popped in here last night because I fancied a takeaway and can say it’s the best fish and chips I’ve had in ages. I was delighted by the perfectly cooked cod and yummy chips to boot! 10/10 would definitely recommend. To top that off the staff were lovely and the place was very clean! Exactly what you want from a place you buy your food :).

Ordered on line for collection which was ready on time and very fresh in fact I arrived slightly early and they were finishing my order of. The chips are very thick cut which I really like and cooked to perfection not greasy at all. Haddock and small cod were cooked perfectly and really tasty as was curry sauce. Highly recommend.

This used to be a great Fish and Chip shop, however after my recent experience I needed to write a poor review in the hope that our local fish and chip shop can improve. When I got the order home I found that one item wasn’t in the bag and I had to return to the shop. There wasn’t an issue with giving this to me. The fish was over cooked and the batter greasy and the pieces of fish were presented in rectangular blocks. It used to be a whole fish! My wife was Ill during the night after eating this. I ordered mushy peas, which tasted very peculiar. ( I have had similar comments from friends since) Overall I rated this meal 2* as I thought it was very poor. This is a shame as it used to be great.

The worst fish & chips I’ve ever had!! Greasy battered completely over cooked fish with anaemic chips full of eyes and the strangest mushy peas. Over £17 for large cod meal (nothing big about it) left me feeling completely ripped off!. In fairness the staff were very polite and the shop was clean. First and last time for this place, what a shame :(

Tried the gluten free Mondays that they do once a month. Can’t fault the batter which was delicious. Sadly the chips weren’t very well done but would definitely recommend the monthly gf Mondays!

I’m new to the area and have just discovered this place, I had the fish and chips and really enjoyed it! The staff are really friendly and helpful too so I’m now looking forward to my next meal here and happy to have found my new local chippy :)

Great chips as always no fish tonight but normally really crispy. However a little disappointed tonight with the curry sauce it was rather runny. Hopefully next time it will be thicker keep up the good work !!

The food is of great quality, and the service is fantastic. The curry sauce was beautiful, one of the best in the area.
