Tubingen in 2 days

If you only have 2 days to spend in Tubingen, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Tübingen is a well-preserved university town where half-timbered houses, cobbled lanes, and the Neckar riverfront create a classic medieval atmosphere. You can stroll up to Hohentübingen Castle for city views and museums, or explore the historic Markt with its town hall and cafes. Traditional punting boats on the Neckar, a strong student culture, and frequent festivals give the town an unusually lively feel for its size. Its location in Baden-Württemberg also makes it a convenient base for visiting the nearby Swabian Alb and other towns in the region.
With favorites like Hölderlinturm, Neckarinsel, and Meze Akademie, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like El Chico and Gaststätte Stern so you can get the best taste of Tubingen while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Gasthausbrauerei Neckarmüller is a classic inn located by the picturesque Neckar River, offering a charming setting for dining and enjoying housemade beer. The restaurant features wood-paneled interiors and a riverside garden, making it an ideal spot for savoring pasta, Swabian dishes, and locally brewed beer.
Good service, good atmosphere and the food is pretty good. I have ordered the roasted beef with sautéed onion and i have ordered it medium rare and it gave me a medium rare, I am very happy about this. Their wheat beer is also very nice to drink. Lastly, I also ordered the haxe pork knuckle, it was good, especially the skin part, the meat is half braised which is very good!

When I was at the first time arrived in Tübingen in October,2024, I tried this restaurant with my friend. Everything was ok, the food was ok too but the day after we both had FOOD POISONING, we had DIARRHEA, VOMIT and FEVER. So please avoid this place.
Rebecca X — Google review
Really nice food. The lunch menu was nice and a decent size for the price. Its a lovely place to sit outside in the summer and i always really enjoy it. My one complaint is that the tap water is about the size of a shot. A tiny glass less than half full and they don’t let you order more which is weird.
Gemma B — Google review
Always a good restaurant to have a great view of the Neckar and spend good time in a group. Swabian cuisine is the main attraction here. Their venison is really popular in winter.
Indresh — Google review
We dined here tonight and when we were seated, the server threw coasters at us. His attitude was terrible and did not tend to us again during the entire time. We waited more than 20 minutes just to get the bill. Food was good but the whole experience was an ordeal due to the rudeness of a particular server. Never been treated like this before in any restaurant.

Gasthausbrauerei Neckarmüller in Tübingen offers a pleasant experience with its quality beer and excellent location. The beer served here is good, with a range of options to suit different tastes. The location is another strong point, situated in the heart of Tübingen. I was a visitor exploring the city, and it provides an enjoyable option for a drink and a good time.

St. George's Collegiate Church in Tübingen is a stunning 15th-century Gothic church with a towering presence in the city. The church features beautiful stained glass windows and intricate shell limestone sculptures, as well as a remarkable pipe organ and a lookout tower offering panoramic views of the city. It also serves as an important concert hall, hosting music performances on weekends.
The church has Gothic architecture and is worth a visit if you’re passing through Tübingen. The church’s interior is really intricate. I really like the ceiling of the church, very impressive for me.

Stunning Chuch in Tübingen. It is free to enter. On the day we visited they were playing the organ and it was awesome to listen to as we toured the church. This church was built between 1470 and 1499. The bell tower dates back to 1411 and is Romanesque architecture while the church itself is gothic. It houses 14 grave stone monuments in the Wurttemberg Family Mausoleum. It is an evangelical parish. The steps on the side are great places to sit in the area square. We loved our visit!
Michael M — Google review
A beautiful historic church with a stunning view over Tübingen! Climbing up the tower is absolutely worth it — you get a breathtaking panorama of the whole city and the Neckar river. A must-visit spot if you’re exploring Tübingen!

This late gothic church from 1470 was one of the first churches to convert to Martin Luther's protestant churches. It houses a large amount of royal tonbs and has some stunning wood carvings on the benches. On top it, has the Schäufelein Altar, an altar from 1520 that was painted by an assistant of Hans Schäufelein who was a student of Albrecht Dürer, one of Germany's most famous painters.

Tübingen Altstadt

Historical landmark
Tübingen Altstadt, the old town area of Tübingen, is a charming destination not to be missed. The streets like Burgsteige, Judengasse, Lange Gasse, and Munzgasse offer a delightful stroll with historical significance. The original university buildings scattered throughout add to the area's allure. Visitors can enjoy a unique experience by riding 'Stocherkahn' along the river and exploring the city on foot for 2-3 hours.
Tubingen is a very nice beautiful city. It has some youthful vibe. This is probably because of the local university. There are a lot of beautiful atmospheric places! The city is a must-see!

Tübingen’s Altstadt is absolutely charming — narrow cobblestone streets, colorful half-timbered houses, and a lively, cozy vibe. It’s perfect for a relaxed stroll, and don’t miss grabbing some delicious ice cream from one of the many gelato shops while you enjoy the historic atmosphere by the Neckar!

Very charming with a lot of stores, cafes and restaurants. It's amazing that you go in any direction and have a good time, either running into a relaxing square, a charming street or even the castle! It is just such a pleasure to walk around there that you even forget you are going up and down the hill!
Andre — Google review
One if the most cute and colorful cities in South Germany 🌈 if u like half-timbered house is a must place to visit. There are less tourists than the famous city like Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Since it is the student city with one of the oldest university there are various restaurants and shops with reasonable price. I have visited this place in May and there are full of flowers decorating in the city.
Narudee S — Google review
We went there as a group of more than 100 people for a wedding and reserved few 'Stocherkahn' and had a great riding together with the couple. It was absolutely an amazing experience for all of us including our children! It takes about 1.5 hours and around 1km is the normal round. If it rains, you can have a coffee and snacks party under the bridge. You can also plan for a 2-3 hours of City walk. There will be always something for you to enjoy. You can also go to the city garden beside Neckar river and relax or do a picnic! It is a beautiful lively city! So why wait...? Plan a trip!

Nestled in the heart of Tübingen, Willi Tübingen is a cozy café that has become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. Known for its diverse selection of coffee, cakes, and healthy organic dishes, this charming establishment offers a relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying a meal or catching up with friends. With an impressive array of vegetarian and vegan options available, there's something to satisfy every palate.
Willi is a very nice café, the patrons are largely students, and it's a great place to spend some time reading and/or writing with a coffee or tea, ot anything else from their menu. The service is friendly, casual, and the place is lively yet relaxed. It's an excellent spot to go to.

This is my favourite spot in Tübingen. It's less fancy and upmarket than most of the cafés in the old town of Tübingen, but all the more friendly, charming, and comfortable. Great selection of drinks and snacks (also great for vegan options!), wonderful atmosphere, and nice people everywhere.

Had a great experience at this place—good vibes all around! I ordered a flat white, which was quite good. The barista who served me was friendly and accommodating, although I noticed one of them seemed a bit annoyed or bothered, which made me feel slightly uncomfortable while ordering. Nonetheless, it didn't detract much from the overall experience. The welcoming atmosphere and tasty coffee definitely make this place worth a visit.

The people there and the atmosphere were amazing. I got a vegan cinnamon bun with a vegan Chai latte (oatmilk). The cinnamon was out of this world. It was super soft, and with the perfect amount of cinnamon. The Chai latte was creamy and tasty. I would definetely come back :)

Nice, cute coffee shop in Tübingen. Their coffee is good and there are places to sit upstairs. They don’t accept card at the negative side and they don't have wifi. Usually gets overcrowded.

Good ambience and coffee was pretty good. I liked that offer oat milk for coffee without extra charge. The Zitronenkuchen I ordered was good. Downside is service is pretty chaotic and messy. We had to wait almost 20 minutes before we had to walk up to order as they missed us and prioritised take aways. No card payment either, another con

first impressions are important.. a friend recommended me to go to this store, as he said it has higher quality and better prices than another one. I bought chicken, it seems the same one I get from the other store, the shown prices were the same too. the problem was that they either have a different price than the one shown on the chicken (5 euros/kg), or they overcharged me for more than I've got. I thought I might have been mistaken, and maybe the chicken weighed more than I thought I've seen on their scale, so I weighed the chicken and it was indeed less than what I should've got for the price. I hope it's a mistake and not intentional, nevertheless it's not a small one, as they overcharged me for at least an additional 1 kg.

Nestled in the heart of Tübingen, El Chico is a vibrant and inviting Tex-Mex restaurant that promises a delightful dining experience for families and food lovers alike. With its colorful decor and lively atmosphere, this well-established chain serves up an array of classic Tex-Mex dishes alongside Mexican, Latin American, Spanish, and Mediterranean specialties.
My favourite restaurant in whole Tübingen. Loved Sweet potato and Churros. I'd also really recommend Burrito. 10/10.
Sofia S — Google review
The enchilada grande, burrito and the fajitas were a good portion. Not the best we had but ok. Even if the place was empty (apart from us and 2 more tables) the staff wasn't really paying attention to us. Due to the few options you have in tubingen it is a restaurant to consider.
Lola B — Google review
Speaking as a Texican, I did not have high expectations for a Tex-Mex resteraunt in Germany, BUT... We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the drinks, the view and the price. Our server was working alone when we first arrived, but another waitress showed up later so he was able to be more attentive. The food was mid, but everyrhing else evened it up. This place is the ultimate for people watching. It didnt hurt that the weather was phenominal and everyone was out having fun.
Robert S — Google review
Great location by the Neckar with outdoor seating as well. Service is good. The portions are huge - I ordered nachos and fajita which could honestly feed two people. Guacamole and salsa were good but the cheese was bland and artificial looking. Their beverage menu is huge and their cocktails/mocktails are pretty good.
Indresh — Google review
not sure if today was a bad day to come. service was not the greatest (server nowhere to be found - had to get up and ask the bartender for another drink and to request the bill). food was very average. ordered the “enchilada con crema de queso”, meat was dry, flavor was bland, not what i was expecting for an enchilada. HOWEVER, the frozen margaritas were tasty. overall, the staff was very nice..huge selection for drinks.
J R — Google review
Due to Corona situation they had limited number of tables to offer which is perfectly fine. For us however, a group of 8 people, apparently they only had a dark corner with no air flow and very hot weather. I would have just told my guests that I don't have enough space to accept them.... The meal was priced premium with sub-mediocre quality. Overall, that was an unpleasant time and we wont recommend this restaurant for the time being. Three stars goes to speed of the service, nice drinks and the professional waitress. Thank you for those.

In this area, it is hard to find good Mexican restaurant. But this restaurant might be normal alternative. Not bad, not so good, be pricy- but view is perfect. And other reviews are saying that the food came very late, but i've here twice- food came out in normal speed.

From me 5 stars, everything was perfect, the food, the service, the music, the prices very economical, and the atmosphere combined by the river, was magical, We will visit you soon to taste the delicious cocktails, and the rest of the food, once again congratulations to your Mexican restaurant!

What an amazing culinary experience. All our dishes were delicious and the service was great. The portions in the plates are very good. The atmosphere is very cozy. Stern is by far the best Italian restaurant we have ever had in the city! A must visit if you are in Tübingen. Make sure to make reservation because it can be busy especially in the evening.

We sat outside on the afternoon, so I cannot judge the service inside, but the waiters were extremely slow for the small number of customers who were actually eating. Despite having a reservation we had to wait 15 min to be seated, 20 to get our order, 10 for the drinks and another 30 min for the food, at which point we were starving. The pizzas were traditional and very tasty, thus the good rating. I will try to go more often to see if it helps with their understaffing problems.

Very cozy and interesting place to go. Food was good and tasty. My mozzarella salade came on a huge plate, one might consider it a whole meal. Very big portion 😀! The pizza was tasty and not too oily. The lady serving us was very kind and even refilled my glass several times. She also gave us a lot of info on the food. Very good service! The dessert was very good too! The only thing I didn't like is the atmosphere where the interior is so small. I hit my chair several times with another guy's chair behind me. But overall pretty good 😊, give it a try 👍

A nice little Italian restaurant in the city center. One cannot reserve the place here, just walk and mostly you should find a place. It's a old building have 2 floors, which goes under the ground, thus do not have windows there. The first floor or entrace is very small and does have a window facing towards the pedestrian zone. Though Necker is very close by, there is no view of the same.

Pretty good pizza for Germany. Good base with a good level of charring around the edge and leoparding on bottom, but flavour combinations a bit teutonic for my taste. Excellent service though delivered in a mix of Italian and German, and a very nice atmosphere.

The Liquid Kelter pub is an excellent choice for a post-work drink or a relaxed evening. It offers both German and European cuisine, making it appealing to a variety of tastes. Located in Tubingen, this hidden gem was discovered by chance during a short trip. Its inviting atmosphere drew the attention of passersby, who later returned to enjoy its delectable menu and wine pairings. The sommelier, Manoli Savvidis, elevated the dining experience with his expertise.
This is a review of my personal experience at liquid kelter restaurant - Dinner for one! No reservation, Not knowing the level of the restaurant I was entering. Took the Meat Menu with Wine Pairing... Cost for wine pairing definitely worth it, Cost of the the menu a bit on the high side but on point with the service, portions, atmosphere. Greeted by friendly staff along the way and since I took the wine pairing I had the sommelier who gave a great introduction to the plate and the wine. Plate one - Welcome from the Chef - Carrot Vellutè. Paired Wine a Cremant de Loire - Chateau de Mauny Plate two - Bread/Focaccia Assortment with oil - Great Soft Focaccia and amazing oil (Would have not defined it as a plate but it's good and in fact more bread was offered on the side, Mediterranean cuisine style) The brown bread was good too but the focaccia was king Plate three - Norwegian White Halibut with Peas and calamari Great combination, served also with a puree of parsnip I think and lemon jus. this element alone was not great to my palate but when mixed it opened up! Paired Wine 2018 Chateau Turcaud Plate four - Spinach Tortellini with Sage and Butter Nothing to add a Classic Dish, well Balanced and paired with a red Dolcetto d'Alba Plate Five is the main 2 part dish - Part 1 Fillet of Beef with parsley roots and croquettes Part 2 Braised beef Pot my opinion is the plates should be served independently as the dishes are both amazing and passing from one to the other makes the dishes get cold (I'm a slow eater so that does not help) Nevertheless the combination is astute and mixes well. Side note the Croquettes are amazing. The paired wine was a Greek wine with a Mix Grapes of Limniona, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon very balanced with the dish Plate Six - Dessert - Rhubarb IceCream, Raspberry Mousse and Crumble not a sweet tooth but desert was great and the reisling pairing was delicious Plate Seven - Sweet End Lemon Jelly and Shortbread cake Great sweet end If you arrived to read until here kudos! Hope your go and have your own experience

The only notion of "fancy" restaurant in Tübingen. A swabian attempt at elevated french/western cuisine. The approximation is obvious but what did you expect from a small German town? The food has its highlights (e.g. the steak was incredibly tender) but it was also mediocre at times (the salad was something you can find at a salad bar). The plating is overly simple and lacking. Overall good but hugely overpriced for what it is. The same meal in France/UK would cost 30 euros (about half). Everyone at the table left hungry because the portions were tiny (is this intentional to be "fancy"? because it's really missing the point of french cooking). Service is German so you don't get the attention to detail and wit of French waiting. Disappointing the waiter didn't know the menu at all, couldn't explain the details of ingredients and dish. Also lacking charisma. But it's the best you can expect in this little town. Cocktails are also decent but overpriced. Considering you'd need to travel 1h by train to find a comparably good cocktail maybe it's not so unreasonable. Highlight is the atmosphere: a modern cave/industrial vibe.
Kevin S — Google review
I wish I could write an altogether postive review as there are a lot of good things to say about the place. First of all, the food is excellent. None of the usual unimaginative dishes you normally find in town. Yet, service is quite variable. On a lucky day everything is fine on a not so lucky day forget it. The waiter is preoccupied with all kind of chit chat never bothering to ask if you might for example want something like a drink or a desert only to serve you then without war ing the check with the info that they are closing. Very rude and unprofessional. It leaves a bad aftertaste. Two stars for service since there is also good staff at the restaurant, but consistent quality is lacking.

Lucky find during our short trip to Tübingen. We had seen this place right when we entered the pedestrian precinct and came back later since we hadn’t find any other place that looked similarly good. Luckily we got a table without reservation and had a great dining experience, feasting on their menu with wine pairing. Special thanks to Manoli Savvidis, who in his role as sommelier made the experience even better. An open bottle of good wine as departing gift was the icing on the cake 😎😊🙏 We’ll definitely return to learn more about wine and taste another menu.

Was here for a conference dinner (the venue chosen I think because it is very large), sitting outside on a very hot day. I want to redress the balance, considering the mediocre reviews this place has received: it was excellent, if a little pricier than other places around town. What is offered is updated Swabian cooking. We were given a pea soup amuse-bouche with a small pizza slice; I ordered the veal fillet, which came with croquettes and various mushrooms. It was very tasty and filling, but then it should have been for €30. A delicious Greek wine was drunk; others had rosemary ice cream (not pictured).

I very much enjoyed this old wine press turned restaurant and bar. It is stylish, comfy and the perfect place for a lovely meal and/or drinks. I will definitely be back.

The place has a pretty convenient location in the downtown of Tübingen. The atmosphere inside is charming and makes you travel in past and taste the old Europe. The service is timely and welcoming. The only thing which might surprise you is the size of the portions. It could have been bigger for the price.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Neckarinsel, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Hölderlinturm. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

The Stadtmuseum Tübingen, located in a 500-year-old former granary in the old town of Tübingen, Germany, offers a fascinating glimpse into the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region. The museum's permanent exhibition provides an overview of Tübingen's history over the last six centuries and showcases the work of silhouette artist Lotte Reiniger. Additionally, temporary exhibitions are held throughout the year, each accompanied by an extensive catalogue.
The museum has lots of fun activities, they were engaging and informative. They were matched in quality by the friendly and welcoming staff.

The museum is free. It has 4 floors. Each floor has a different exhibition. It was nice to see this old house's structure while visiting the museum.

Lovely staff. The museum is a bit chaotic at the moment but the attic is amazing, play the game!
James C — Google review
This museum was a pretty cute and free experience. It has several floors of artwork, paintings, and vintage trinkets. The upkeep of the building is great as it’s an older building but it’s still being maintained and looked after. If you’re visiting Tübingen, make sure to stop by and check this place out
Ms. K — Google review
Really nice place. The people there really kind and helpful. The exhibition was interesting mix of art and history. They even had a VR you can play with. Everything only available in German so that is a minus point. But the staff speaks English.
Tamás T — Google review
The exhibits are all in German, a language I don't speak. However, it's still worth a visit as there are some interesting artifacts. Plus, it's free, so you won't mind only spending a little time, if you can't read the displays, like me!

Marktplatz, also known as the market square, is a picturesque and historic square located in Tubingen. At its center stands the 15th century Town Hall, featuring an intricately painted facade and a functioning astronomical clock. The square is surrounded by antique buildings and is home to small cafes and restaurants where visitors can enjoy good food, cocktails, and coffee.
A pretty area to hang around . A good number of cafes and restaurants to choose from. Colors of buildings is mesmerizing. Local and international stores are around the place with a beautiful collection of clothes. I would love to visit again soon .

Tübingen is only an hour and half from Stuttgart by regional train. The city dates from the 6th or 7th century, when the region was populated by the Alamanni people. The old castle dates from around year 1.000. The city was totally destroyed during the WW but many buildings were restored. We can still see special details from the original constructions. A very typical German town worth visiting.

It's a beautiful square surrounded by antique buildings. On and off, there are events such as the Christmas market or currently the "Chocolart", a chocolate themed market.

The Ancient Culture Museum at Hohentübingen Castle is a captivating destination for history enthusiasts. The museum, housed within the 11th-century castle, boasts an impressive collection of artifacts dating back thousands of years. Visitors can marvel at ancient Egyptian sacrificial chambers, Roman and Greek relics, and even the world's oldest known artworks created by humankind.
This is the best place to spend a hot summer day. Fantastic collections from the Ice age art,Greek art and Egyptian art is the impressive exhibition here.

The ride from Herrenberg to Tübingen is like watching a live wallpaper—green meadows on both sides, super peaceful. Both train n bus work fine, covered under the Deutschland ticket. Took the market route up to the castle, not the stairs—view from the top is stunning. Checked out the museum n exhibition, def worth it if ur into science n history. The town’s vibe is amazing—old colorful buildings, plants climbing the walls, and that little island park in the middle is perfect for a walk. Great weekend getaway from Stuttgart.

The museum has a very nice collection of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and remains from Egyptian civilisation. The items of ivory from the ice age are very precious and takes us back to thousands of years. The guided tour in English was really insightful and interesting. One of the best & the most interesting aspect of the museum is the collections from ice age. These rare items give an insight into the brilliance & geniuses of our ancestors who inhabited the area which is modern day Ulm, Heidelberg and around. These are simply brilliant stuffs and I would recommend everyone who is in (or visits) Tübingen to appreciate the amazing collection of this museum. PS - Don't forget to see one of the largest barrels in Germany. :)

A museum in a old castle is always going to be cool. From the interior courtyard it doesn't look like much but once you get inside there are many artefacts ranging from the Palaeolithic to the Romans. The Egyptian collection is cool but my favourite was the Palaeolithic figurines which are wonderfully displayed. They include the horse, which there is also an enlarged version of in the courtyard, and a mammoth made of mammoth bone, which I found pretty cool. The museum has lots to it but younger kids may not find it as interesting as other museums as I didn't see much catered to them. Definately worth a visit if you have a bit of time.

The next destination is one of the most renowned and frequently photographed sights in Tubingen, known as the Neckarbrücke or Eberhardsbrucke. This iconic bridge spans across the Neckar River and holds significant historical significance. Situated in the heart of Tubingen, it offers a splendid backdrop for relaxation and leisure activities. It presents an excellent opportunity for capturing memorable photos and unwinding amidst its scenic surroundings.
This is the first sightsee I visited in Tübingen town, all views from surrounding buildings are unbelievably 100% same as those scenes on a postcard. Hölderlinturm is a restored tower with medieval origins, once the home of the famous German poet Friedrich Hölderlin in his later years. The picturesque location on the river Nekar makes it an iconic spot for tourists and poetry enthusiasts. Visitors can explore displays on Hölderlin's life and work while taking in the beautiful surroundings of Tubingen.
The poet Holderlin spent the last 30 years of his life in this picturesque tower. To be honest, it’s worth visiting just for the spectacular location on the banks of the Neckar alone. The staff are helpful and there is a lot of interesting material to read and listen to. If you’re interested in Holderlin, poetry, or culture then it’s absolutely worthwhile. The views of the tower from the nearby bridge and from the opposite bank of the Neckar are superb.

Colorful place with much more activites to do in and around this place. Trekking, kayaking, museum, park to relax and the city architecture. This is a left out / saved place from world war 2. Old and ancient town. If you take a walk around the city, you will see many beautiful buildings and small small hills. A huge park, a small man made canal which is kind of replica of venice.

Restaurant
Veggi is a cozy and compact venue located in Tubingen, offering a diverse selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The menu features trays of falafel served with an assortment of vegan dips, salads, and fries. Guests can also enjoy a variety of refreshing cocktails, beers, and wines. The restaurant's central location makes it convenient for visitors exploring the area. While some patrons have noted that certain falafel dishes were overly crispy, others have praised the delicious flavors and well-made wraps.
Came here on a late Thursday afternoon and had our choice of tables. The waiter was extremely helpful answering our questions about the menu, which was exclusively in German. My husband and I both ended up ordering the falafel rice bowl, and it was delicious! The falafel was crunchy on the outside & soft on the inside, which is just how we like it. The mango dressing added a brightness to the dish that I wasn’t expecting (in a good way). This restaurant was a delightful find in Tübingen.
Babs M — Google review
Decent falafel and other food choices. Ordered falafel platter, cous cous curry, some fries and drinks. The place was crowded and service was slow, the staff was overwhelmed and were forgetting basic stuff like handing out menus and silverware, napkins, etc. The drinks were decent and overall it was OK experience. Location is great - one street away from the main square, Rathaus/Marktplaz.

Cozy ambient inside the locale, in our case some of the falafel we had were fried excessively crispy and dry as if they had been fried more than once. Other than that the food was alright.

One of the best restaurants on a busy street. Excellent vibes, awesome service (including some translations from English). Great vegan options. Must visit place in Tübingen.
Ashutosh A — Google review
A nice place in the historical center. I liked the aubergine side, fries with mayo, and falafel. The vegi salad had too much sauce in it and it was a bit inedible.
Andrew M — Google review
Food was delicious, however I think the Falafelteller is too small, next time I'd take the normal Falafel in Fladenbrot instead, which has quiet large portion. The chocolate cake is unfortunately a no for me, wouldn't order them again next time. You couldn't wrap your food if you cant finish it, so I'd say bring your own lunch boxes 😆 I'd definitely come back again here next time I visit Tübingen. Fyi they don't accept non-Digital vaccination proof.

Was passing through this college town and grabbed some food at this coffee house. Gotta be real it’s definitely got that touristy vibe, which, to be fair, was exactly my title in town that day. Drinks were nice and decent, nothing wild, but honestly, it’s hard to find bad coffee or drinks around here. Ended up getting some pizza and look, it’s not the best I’ve had in Europe but it easily beats most of the pizza I’ve had back in the States, so no complaints there. Place got busy real quick, but the waitress was super friendly. Overall, solid little stop if you’re roaming around and need a bite.

Well located in the heart of Tübingen. Very nice place for breakfast, lunch a coffee break or even just a drink. The terrasse is very nice with a view to the Rathaus. Even though I live in Greece...The stuff was very friendly, the dishes were perfect and everything was top quality, the prices were fair and the styling of the restaurant was really nice and cozy! The atmosphere and the presentation of the dishes was really nice, unfortunately the taste was completely disappointing. The fish was dull and flavourless, sometimes even too hard to chew. Salt and spices were missing and when we asked a suggestion on the taste before ordering, the answer was completely unclear. The waiting time, even for a crowded place on Saturday evening (with reservation for 5 people) was too long (we had to ask 3 times to get a beer and the same to get salt on the table) and the price overstated for the quality served and the portions. Unfortunately overall a bad experience.

Interior is lovely and warm and food was way beyond expectations. I don't think I have ever eaten in a place in Tuebingen that makes as good food as here. Only one thing: Our waiter was a bit strange, when asked questions, he wasn't very friendly, acted as if we asked a very dumb question, while the question was simply what does the sauce contain - because we loved the sauce! Anyhow, still for the sake of awesome food, I would definitely give it a go.
